Surge Protection | Why Mersen SPDs? - Duration: 3:48.

Surge Protection – Why? Power fluctuations cost US companies over

$80 billion dollars a year. The good news is AutomationDirect's high

performance low cost surge protectors from Mersen help protect your expensive equipment

and minimize down time which saves you money. While we tend to associate power spikes with

lightning strikes, the truth is about 80% of power surges come from within your own

building from things like motors starting and stopping, electrical panels being switched

on and off, etc. The Mersen Surge Protectors offer the lowest

cost most reliable way to protect your equipment from disruption, degradation or even total

destruction. Why? Because overvoltage is managed by the device

Because Mersen surge protectors disconnect themselves before burning up.

Mersen Surge Trap products are designed specifically for UL1449 4th edition.

And at 200kA they have the highest short circuit current rating available for any surge protection

device on the market today. UL designates Surge Protection devices by

type: Type 1 Surge protection is used between the

transformer and the service disconnect mostly to protect from lightning strikes and utility

bank switching. Type 2 is on the load side of the service

disconnect to protect against residual lightning, motor driven surges and other internally generated

surges. Type 3 is anything that's more than 30 feet

downstream from the service disconnect. You would typically associate these with power

strips and home appliances. And there's a Type 4 and 5 that deals with

components and assemblies. Type 1 has the highest amount of protection

and is typically the most expensive, Type 2 has less protection and type 3 SPDs have

the least protection and are usually the least expensive.

The cool thing about the Mersen SPDs is while they are ALL Type 1, they are so inexpensive

they can be used in all parts of your factory which simplifies your spare parts inventory

and reduces the burden on your maintenance system.

And they are small. They can be hung right off a panel or mounted inside using the optional

mounting bracket. The NEMA 4/4x plastic housing means they can

even be used outdoors. And since AutomationDirect offers the specific

voltages and common voltage configurations that cover all the standard residential/commercial/industrial

applications, you can maximize protection for your exact needs, rather than having to

rely on some generic surge protector. They fit any ¾" knockout, have 36" leads

for easy installation, and can be used in line-neutral, line-line, line-ground or neutral-ground

applications and even have an LED that lights up to tell you when they are at end of life.

This is a surge protector that blew in my office when a power surge hit last week. Again

you don't get this fire, smoke soot and destruction with Mersen surge protectors.

The patented TPMOV technology they use automatically disconnects itself before all this damage

occurs. This short video shows you how that automatic disconnect works.

So think about how much you have invested in your equipment and how all of that can

be lost with just a single hit from a surge. And remember that most of your surges will

come from INSIDE your facility – like mine did last week.

Surge Protection devices are some of the best insurance you will ever buy because they prevent

surge related problems from ever happing in the first place.

And since these have a 30 day money back guarantee and a 5 year warranty, you know you are in

good shape when ordering from AutomationDirect. If you have any questions, please contact

AutomationDirect's free award winning support team during regular business hours. They will

be happy to help. And don't forget the forums – there are lots of experienced automation

professionals there that love to share their years of experience. Just don't post any

questions directed at AutomationDirect's support team there – they don't monitor

the forums on a regular basis.

LANCASTER, ALSO CHAMBERSBURG.

NOW THE WIND IS STARTING TO COME

WIND, UP TO 12 MILES PER HOUR,

BUT ONLY SEVEN IN LANCASTER.

NOW WE ARE SEEING THE SKIES

CLEAR, FROM NORTH TO SOUTH.

LOTS OF SUNSHINE OUT THERE,

TEMPERATURES ARE AT 38 DEGREES.

WE HAVE THAT LIGHT BREEZE OUT OF

THE EAST SOUTHEAST.

HIGH CLOUDS OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW

WILL EVENTUALLY SEE THAT DRY AIR

RIGHT NOW, WE ARE SEEING LIGHT

WIND IN HARRISBURG,

SO HERE IS A

SOME LITTLE

ENERGY MOVING UP TO THE EAST.

THAT IS GOING TO DIE DOWN AND

PUSH A COLD FRONT THROUGH THE

THE WIND WILL PICK UP BEHIND

THAT FRONT, TOMORROW AFTERNOON.

THE REST OF YOUR VALENTINE'S DAY

LOOKS PRETTY NICE.

DECREASING CLOUDS CONTINUE FROM

NORTH TO SOUTH AND WITH THAT

INTEREST -- TEMPERATURES WILL

BUMP BACK INTO THE 40'S FOR OUR

HIGHS.

CLOUDS AHEAD OF THAT FRONT, BUT

IT WILL STILL REMAIN RELATIVELY

MILD AND TEMPERATURES FALL TO

THE LOWER 30'S.

TOMORROW, EXPECT SOME

FLURRIES

BUT AS THE COLD FRONT MOVES

THROUGH, IT TURNS BREEZY.

TEMPERATURES STILL MILD, BACK TO

THE LOW-TO-MID 40'S.

WHEN GUESTS COULD BE RISING BACK

TO 30 MILES PER HOUR.

I EXPECT MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES.

AFTER MIDNIGHT, THE CLOUDS WILL

START TO THE CAN BACK UP AS THE

STORM SYSTEM WORKS A LITTLE

CLOSER TO THE SUSQUEHANNA

VALLEY.

TOMORROW MORNING, THE COLD FRONT

WILL MOVE ACROSS THE REGION.

THE WIND WILL START TO PICK UP,

DRY AIR WILL BE BACK BEHIND US

WITH SUNSHINE OUT THERE.

THERE COULD ALSO BE AN

OCCASIONAL PASSING FLURRY

BECAUSE THE WIND IS COMING OFF

UNSEASONABLY WARM GREAT LAKES.

HEADING INTO WEDNESDAY EVENING,

THE WIND DROPS A LITTLE BIT,

ANOTHER RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE

BUILDS ACROSS THE REGION AND

TEMPERATURES WILL BE COOL FOR

THURSDAY.

BY THE TIME WE HEAD INTO FRIDAY

AND SATURDAY, TEMPERATURES BUMP

ACCA.

-- BUMP BACK UP.

AFTER LUNCHTIME, TOMORROW,

TEMPERATURE -- WINS CLIMB BACK

ABOUT 30 MILES PER HOUR.

THURSDAY, THEY WILL START TO

DROP, IN THE EVENING.

TEMPERATURES IN THE 40'S FOR THE

NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS, THEN DOWN

TO THE 30'S FOR THURSDAY.

TEMPERATURES REBOUND BY

FRIDAY,

Republicans Beg Press To "Move On" From Michael Flynn Resignation Stories - Duration: 5:49.

On Monday evening, Michael Flynn, the National Security Advisor to President Donald Trump

was forced to resign after it was revealed that he wasn't entirely truthful with Vice

President Mike Pence and the rest of the Trump Administration about phone calls that he had

with the Russian ambassador back in December before the inauguration.

Now, while we do not know the exact details discussed in these phone calls, it's very

likely that Flynn was discussing sanctions that the United States has in place against

Russia with the Russian ambassador and the possibility of lifting those sanctions under

a Trump Administration.

Now, that is absolutely something that Michael Flynn was not authorized to do.

It's something that he does not have the power to do, and so that's why this has created

a huge problem for the Trump Administration.

Now, before we get into the other issue, here, it's important to note that the Justice Department

had warned the Trump Administration a month ago about Michael Flynn's phone calls with

this Russian ambassador.

The Trump Administration chose to do nothing.

Then finally, once the issue became too big to ignore, Flynn resigned after being in power

for only 24 days.

The shortest serving National Security Advisor in the history of the United States.

Here's where things get a little bit more interesting, and also a little bit more predictable.

The Republican Party has been almost completely silent on this issue since the story broke

Monday evening.

We've had a couple Republicans come out and say, "Oh, well, this is bad.

I thought Flynn was a good guy, but yeah, I guess he should've resigned."

That's not exactly saying that what he did was wrong.

It's not saying that you disapprove of what's happening in the Trump Administration.

That's literally just saying that the thing that everybody knows happened, happened.

Representative Chris Collins appeared on television where he said, "Oh, well, ... This was Tuesday

morning, he said, "Well, maybe the reason Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell aren't saying

anything publicly yet is because it's Valentine's Day.

Maybe they're having breakfast with their wives."

But, this is what Republican Representative Chris Collins said after that, "I think we

all just need to move on from the Flynn, uh, resignation.

Let's not pile on.

Let's not dwell on it."

Chris Collins' response to the National Security Advisor to Donald Trump having to resign after

being in office for only 24 days, is to move on?

Let's forget that this thing happened and just move on?

I mean, he potentially broke the law here, and you want us to just move on?

Senator John Thune went on CNN, he offered kind of the same thing, and said, "Oh, well,

I always thought he was a good guy, but I guess this thing happened, so yeah, he resigned."

That, again, is not acknowledging the fact that the Donald Trump Administration is corrupt

to the core.

They were corrupt to the core before they even got sworn in or officially appointed.

That's what's so disgusting about this story.

We have an administration in power right now that has no regard for the rule of law.

The people serving with Donald Trump right now don't even know what they're official

role is.

They don't know what they're legally allowed to do and what they're not allowed to do.

That is incredibly dangerous.

We currently do not know exactly what Michael Flynn discussed on that phone call.

It could've been anything.

It could've been issues of national security that harm the United States.

Remember when the Republicans got all up in arms about Hillary Clinton using a private

email server and how that could endanger the United States?

Here, we have somebody, with a direct line in to the President, talking to an ambassador

which he wasn't supposed to be doing in the first place about god knows what.

Who knows what this man told him.

Who knows what this man promised him.

Who knows what information they have on Flynn.

That's what's so terrifying about this.

There is no rule of law within the Trump Administration.

There is no honesty.

There is no integrity.

There's no safety at this point.

What Michael Flynn did was inexcusable, and terrible, and terrifying, to be honest.

Yes, it's great that he resigned, but that's just the beginning of the story.

We have to get to the bottom of this.

We have to know what Michael Flynn told the Russian ambassador as well as any other ambassadors.

According to Flynn, he talked to several, countless, ambassadors throughout December

and January before the inauguration.

What secrets did he spill?

What promises did he make?

What danger has he put the United States in?

Those are the questions that will hopefully be answered in the coming days since Flynn

has resigned.

As far as Republicans go, again, they don't want to talk about it.

They don't want to acknowledge that their party is so corrupt and dangerous that they're

incapable of leading this country.

So yeah, they want us to move on.

If the press has any integrity left, they won't listen to that.

They'll keep pressing this issue, and they'll find out what happened.

Because every American citizen, today, has the right to know what secrets Michael Flynn

spilled during those conversations.

(Friendly Match) PSG vs Barcelona 2-2 (1-4) Highlights & Goals 2012 HD - Duration: 18:58.

Paris Saint-Germain 2-2 Barcelona (1-4 on penalties): Pique nets shoot-out winner for the Catalans

An entertaining friendly in the French capital saw the visitors pegged back after taking a two-goal lead, before the centre-back scored the decisive spot-kick to clinch victory

Paris Saint-Germain fought back to register a 2-2 draw with Barcelona, only to lose 4-1 on penalties in an exciting pre-season friendly at the Parc des Princes on Saturday evening.

Rafinha opened the scoring early on, before two penalties - one for each side - were converted by Lionel Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Zoumana Camara netted late on to send the game to spot-kicks.

In the ensuing shootout, PSG missed both early kicks, with Barca racing into a 3-0 lead. Sylvain Armand reduced the deficit, but Gerard Pique netted to win it for the visitors.

After an energetic start from the Blaugrana in the French capital, it took only six minutes for the visitors to break the deadlock.

A speculative run from Alexis Sanchez on the flank saw the Chilean drill the ball into the box. Youngster Rafinha, who plies his trade with Barcelona B, benefited from a poor clearance by defender Alex, before latching on to the ball and firing past Nicholas Douchez.

Les Parisiens were noticeably lethargic in the early stages, and were unable to contain a Barcelona side famed for their continuous passing movements. Lionel Messi attempted an effort from distance, before having a shot easily saved by Douchez.

Carlo Ancelotti's side took time to slip into their rhythm in the French capital, though they did carve out a number of opportunities in the first half.

A move that originated from Javier Pastore saw a threatening ball whipped into the box from the right flank, though Ibrahimovic could not get the decisive touch on it.

Les Parisiens illustrated their increasing superiority in attack, but were almost undone on the counter-attack again. A lofted ball in the path of Messi saw the Argentine superstar dart in past Alex and unleash a shot, but it narrowly flew over Douchez's bar.

The second half brought the customary spate of substitutions, with Marco Verratti and Salvatore Sirigu among others making their PSG bows.

Seven minutes into the second period, however, and Barcelona were awarded a penalty. Mamadou Sakho was adjudged to have felled Sanchez in the box, with Messi stepping up to wrongfoot Sirigu and put the Blaugrana 2-0 ahead.

On the hour, PSG themselves were awarded a penalty by referee Said Ennijmi after Montoya had fouled Lavezzi in the box. Ibrahimovic coolly slotted past Pinto to reduce the deficit, and register his first goal at the Parc des Princes.

Substitutes Blaise Matuidi and Kevin Gameiro combined well late on, forcing Tito Vilanova's men into defensive mode. The hosts' perseverance paid off when Camara headed in from a brilliant delivery by Pastore late on, but they were thwarted by Barca goalkeeper Pinto in the shoot-out and it was the Catalans who claimed eventual victory.

The enthralling clash was perfect preparation for both sides, with PSG opening their Ligue 1 campaign against Lorient next Saturday, while the Catalans take on Real Madrid in the Spanish Supercopa on August 23.
