Tofu or Chickpea fritters (Panelle) | With nigari (magnesium chloride) - Duration: 4:20.

Hello everyone

today I am going to prepare panelle (Sicilian chickpea fritters)

it's a mediterranean version of tofu

ingredients: chickpea flour (500g/17.5oz), spicy curry (a teaspoon)

parsley (optional), water (1.5 L/50 fl oz) and nigari (a teaspoon)

stir and cook for 15 minutes

nigari is not one of the traditional ingredients

but it is an excellent source of magnesium chloride

magnesium chloride is an essential oligo-element

it does wonders to our health

stir continuously while cooking to keep the mixture from sticking

When the mixture is properly cooked, trasfer it into a dish

and leave to cool

let me show you

slice it

and fry the slices in olive oil

Our panelle are ready

you can season them with parsley like they do in Palermo

giving them a circular shape

or you can shape the panelle like tofu

let's make a sandwich adding lemon juice, tomato, fennel etc

I hope you enjoyed my recipe, until next time!

Chema | Episode 42 | Telemundo English - Duration: 14:41.

CHEMA

I've never disrespected you.

I've never betrayed you.

You trained me and gave me a start.

I'll always be grateful for that.

That's how we got to where we are now.

Now, I'm here...

doing the right thing.

I'm being respectful and honorable.

Look.

I've delineated on this sheet of paper

how we're going to run the biz from now on.

That is how we're going to operate.

Speaking of business, boss.

You seem pretty trusting of Chema Venegas.

Aren't you afraid he's going to do us in eventually

or come up with some sketchy s---?

Look, man.

I don't even trust myself after a shot of aguardiente.

That's just how this business is.

The moment Imelda laid eyes on Chema,

I knew he could be trusted.

We're on Chema's team. For now, anyway.

Alright.

I know what you're going to say, Andrews.

People whom we've caught working with drug dealers

can't become DEA agents.

You know that.

I know that. Our superiors know that, too.

Then again, they're never going to see this.

In due time, we'll tell him his request was denied.

In the meantime, it's best if he continues to work for us

and helps us catch Chema Venegas and Ricardo Almenar.

So something is wrong.

Tobias, quit talking nonsense.

Don't give me that look. You're making me nervous.

I just want to know what's going on.

You avoided me all night long...

and now it's like you're on a different planet.

I hope we don't have a repeat of last night

when I come home tonight.

Ricardo, please. No...

No? Come on.

You want this.

This is pure poetry, baby.

We need to take Chema out of the game.

We just spoke to Ricardo about it.

That's why we want to know whether you're on our side.

I knew that bastard Chema would ruffle everyone's feathers.

Of course, we don't have a problem with it.

The sooner, the better.

Could he be why you and your lady parted ways?

Back when she attended my cousin's sister's wedding,

they seemed to be pretty close.

Yep.

We're talking about business here.

Got that?

Look...

I need some assurance that the Colombian merch

is going to make it over to me.

Come on, Gary.

Who do you think owns the tunnels we utilize?

Our cousin Ricardo, of course!

He's on our side.

That's why we speak on his behalf.

Good.

What about the other people involved in this?

You know, the Robleses, the Letrans,

and the Aguileras.

Since when do you care about what's going on in Mexico?

Just focus on selling the merch

to your little cokehead friend.

We'll focus on taking care of business down in Mexico.

Everyone wins.

MEXICO CITY

To be honest,

I came to talk about the situation in Nogales.

I don't like what's going down on the border one bit, Feyo.

Neither do I.

The authorities are starting to meddle a bit too much.

We fear Ricardo Almenar might not be able

to keep that situation under control.

I've discussed it with Guadalupe.

If it becomes too much for Ricardo to handle,

we think Chema should take over.

It's time we took this situation into our own hands.

I think Chema's way more trustworthy.

To be honest, I don't fully trust Ricardo anymore.

He's a sly one. Bring that here.

Hello?

Great timing, man!

We figured you might want to add your two cents to this topic.

What's up, Guadalupe? Who's we?

I'm here with my brother and Mr. Feyo.

We're kind of worried about the situation on the border.

Hold up. Let me put you on speakerphone.

Alright, bro! We hear you loud and clear.

Gentlemen! It's a pleasure to speak to you.

How are things?

I've got news for you from the other side of the border.

Chema headed out to Nogales earlier.

He's meeting with Mr. Ricardo.

What's that all about, Cadena?

Does this mean Chema's officially flying solo?

Should we say a rosary for the damn boy?

I'm not all too sure what's going on,

but he wants to keep Ricardo on our side for now.

I think you've taken sides with Chema.

Am I right or what?

I've always said that I'm a straight shooter.

I'm a man of loyalty.

I told Chema he could count on me whenever and wherever.

Alright, Cadena.

Stay alert in case things get nasty.

We don't know how Ricardo Almenar is going to react,

but we need to safeguard our livelihoods at any cost.

Relax, man!

Don't worry.

The show must go on.

You can quote me on that.

Gentlemen, I bid you adieu. I'll keep you posted.

These geezers are f---ing nuts. They get scared so easily!

-Hey, Mr. Oscar... -Yeah?

I really hope Chema seals the deal down in Nogales.

I just finished negotiating full-on production

throughout the Putumayo River region

and its surrounding villages.

We need to sell this s--- somehow.

You too?

You've all gone mad.

Don't worry, man. Relax.

Trust me, it's going to sell.

Look here.

Where's the merch coming in from?

It arrives by land and sea from Colombia, obviously.

That's it?

There's another group that's flying it in.

They're like the Casillases. They operate outside of Sonora.

Right, but I just want to focus on this area.

See? We can work together, after all.

All it takes is a bit of cooperation.

By the way...

How many tunnels are there in Nogales?

We are aware of their existence.

We also know Chema Venegas played a key role

in helping Almenar build them all.

Look, people love a good legend, Ponce.

They like to make stuff up about others

to avoid talking about themselves.

Alright, then.

Let's see just how legendary this Chema guy is.

It's obvious that Almenar has a solid front

by way of his business.

We'll have to find out

how much of Chema's legend actually holds true.

You know I'm in the market to make money.

In fact, I went to Miami while I was in the States.

Struck up a deal with Imelda Rosado.

So you've allied yourself with the Colombians.

What about us?

Mr. Ricardo...

You'll keep making money.

Nothing's changed.

I just wanted you to hear it from me.

The plan is right here.

Your relatives had better not come around

claiming that I'm playing dirty.

Don't let them poison you.

None of it's true.

It's in our benefit to have the Colombians on our side.

It's in everyone's benefit.

Is that it or is there something else?

I don't know.

You tell me.

Mr. Ricardo...

taking me out is bad for business.

I love your family quite dearly...

and I know you love and respect my mother.

Do you really want to f--- things up?

Are you with me or against me?

I knew this would happen, sweetie.

You heard what Chema said to Mr. Ricardo.

Is there any way to make you stay?

This has always been your home and Chema's home.

Everything's changed, sweetie.

Things are going to keep changing, too.

You're moving into your own house soon.

Chema's in deep and there's no way back now.

Is that why you're leaving?

You're off to enjoy Chema's newfound riches.

No, Amanda.

No.

We all like to pretend things are fine,

but that money is tainted with the blood of many

and I want nothing to do with it!

I wouldn't be able to live with that guilt.

It's painful enough as it is...

watching my son grow up into a murderer.

No. I can't do this, sweetie.

I'm moving into a small, humble home.

One I can pay for with my savings.

There's a war brewing, and it's looming over us.

Your father and my son

are about to collide like two speeding trains.

Take your husband and go far away from this place.

You must seek shelter.

You must look after yourself.

Alright! See you then.

Who was that, Red? Regina?

None of your business.

You think the boss will forget you nabbed his woman?

I'll beat the s--- out of you as soon as he tells me to.

Oh, right. You have to follow orders.

Damn kiss ass.

You just love kissing Mr. Ricardo's ass.

Chill, Red.

As for you...

Quit picking fights and get back to work.

You won't be seeing us for much longer.

I doubt that, Bull.

My face might be the last thing you see before you die.

Come on, you bastards.

The only difference is, instead of working together,

we'll be minding our own business.

We'll each be making our own decisions.

You've got it all figured out, don't you?

You set this whole thing up and left me with no other option.

I've one question for you.

What are we going to do about Red?

What about Red?

Is he going to be your business partner or something?

Let's get this conversation over with, shall we?

It's really starting to bug me.

Did Red steal off Regina?

Tres contra una | Caso Cerrado | Telemundo - Duration: 22:43.

We're back and ready for our next case of the day.

Let's welcome it with this quote

by French writer and philosopher Michel de Montaigne.

It reads,

"A lack of evidence

leads one's conscience to testify against us."

I hope their conscience speaks loudly,

because there are people who do unspeakable things

yet their conscience never speaks up.

Bring out the litigants.

She may look innocent, but she ruined my life.

Crimes are often determined

by the presence of physical trauma.

What about trauma to the soul?

Good afternoon and welcome.

Good afternoon, ma'am.

Ray, you're suing Kelly.

Tell me who she is, why you're suing her,

and what you demand to settle this case.

Ma'am, I'm suing Kelly for $100,000 in damages.

She slandered me, so I'd also like a public apology.

She tarnished my image.

Okay.

I'm not exactly sure what your "image" is,

but I'm sure you're going to expand on that.

So you demand $100,000 and a public apology.

Now, tell me the facts surrounding the case.

Yes, ma'am.

This all took place about six months ago.

Let me tell you a bit about myself.

I'm a student at...

I'm a sophomore majoring in architecture.

I was awarded a scholarship for my excellent grades.

Okay.

Unfortunately, I met Kelly six months ago at a party.

It took place on campus, on a Friday.

I'd gone with some friends of mine.

We met, talked, and danced a while.

The party ended pretty early on, around 11:00 PM.

We decided to keep partying

at my place in the student dorms.

She agreed to come with us

and decided to tag along with me and my friends.

That's not true.

Kelly, listen.

You can give me your version of the story later.

Okay, ma'am.

Well, she came with us to my dorm.

Once there, we continued drinking.

I offered her a drink, but she declined.

She never drank while she was there.

While we were drinking,

she turned on some music and started dancing.

We kept talking...

but as she was dancing, I noticed she came towards me.

I was sitting on the sofa next to my friend Luis.

Our friend Daniel was sitting across from us.

When she came towards me,

I figured it was because she liked me.

She came over and started flirting with me

and kissing me.

She took off her shirt in front of both my friends.

You know that's not true!

That never happened, ma'am.

You can tell me your version of the story later on.

Relax.

Thank you.

She took off her shirt in front of everyone.

As she was kissing me,

I noticed she started caressing Luis.

Luis was right next to me.

She started touching him, got up,

and started dancing around him.

She started kissing his ears and whispering sweet nothings.

I was pissed.

Then she moved on to my next friend.

And did the same thing.

She took off her pants!

She ended up in her underwear.

Then she started dancing for all of us.

We were all in shock.

They were enjoying themselves,

but I was pissed because I thought she liked me instead.

Then she said to all of us,

"I want to do something new. I want to have a foursome."

They all agreed to it.

They wanted me to be a part of it, so I agreed too.

All three of us slept with Kelly that night.

We all had sex in my dorm room.

I asked her if she was sure,

and she said yes.

No one forced her?

Had she drank any alcohol that night?

Not at all.

She was fully conscious the whole time.

Yes, ma'am.

Once everything was over with,

she left just as she came.

We hung back,

drinking and talking about what had happened.

It was amazing.

Amazing? You raped me!

You and your friends raped me!

Will you let me finish?

They raped me, ma'am!

The sooner I finish hearing his side of the story,

I can go on to hearing your side of the story.

Thank you.

She left, then my friends left after another while.

I went to sleep eventually.

I woke up at 9:00 AM

to the sound of someone pounding on the door.

I got up, afraid,

and opened the door only to find five cop cars outside.

I was being arrested for rape.

Kelly had accused me of rape.

I was shocked. I didn't know what to do.

Everyone was staring at me.

That's why I said she tarnished my image.

I was arrested in front of the entire dorm for rape.

You pig!

Shut up!

I was taken to the police station,

where I found Luis and Daniel.

They were there on the same charges.

Okay...

I spent the two worst days of my life in prison.

You deserved worse! You should've stayed there!

Why'd they release you?

They weren't able to find any evidence against me.

There wasn't any proof.

What's that on your podium?

It's the newspaper article that was published about the case.

So in the end, all charges were dropped.

Yes.

They should've stayed in prison, ma'am.

They raped me!

He and his two friends.

"After multiple interrogations, investigations,

and the examination of all evidence presented

in the case...

it has been concluded that this case will not proceed.

The parties involved

and their respective testimonies

weren't enough to determine who the real aggressors were.

On the contrary,

this might just be the typical tale

of drunk, immature college students

doing things they ultimately regret

and trying to make up a crime to make up for their actions.

The three alleged criminals

have since been exonerated by the authorities.

No charges were presented against Kelly,

the supposed victim of a false rape."

They raped me, ma'am.

False rape?

You raped me!

She was fully conscious the whole time.

She consented to it. It was her idea.

So your names were all published in the papers?

Yes, ma'am.

Our mug shots came out in the news, as well.

What consequences has this brought on for you?

Well, for one, I can't get a job.

Employers always bring up my rape charges.

That's because you're a rapist!

I'll give you an example, ma'am.

Say a man is accused of molesting a child.

He's forever labeled a pedophile,

even if it isn't true!

Even when I do manage to score a job,

they end up firing me two weeks later

because I'm supposedly a rapist!

I can't get a job, ma'am!

But it clearly states this was all a sham.

People don't get that, ma'am.

Okay, understood.

How do you respond, Kelly?

Good afternoon, ma'am.

I'm going to tell you

exactly why I refuse to give this man a single penny...

much less offer him a public apology.

I'm the victim here.

He and his friends raped me.

Let me give you my side of the story.

Go ahead.

It's true.

We did meet six months ago at a college party.

I went to the party with a friend.

Once there, I met Ray.

We had a great time together talking and dancing.

It was all going so well until the party was over.

That's when I noticed my friend had disappeared.

She probably ditched me for her boyfriend or whatever.

I tried calling her, but my phone was dead.

He offered to take me to his room.

Since I'd had such a good time with him,

I agreed to come.

I didn't see anything wrong with it.

I went to his room with him...

He was a total gentleman.

No.

No! It was just us.

You knew I only wanted to be with you.

We got to his room and he was super sweet with me.

We talked for a while, ordered some pizza,

and then did the deed.

It was just him and me.

Okay, hold it right th

Having sex with him was a mistake.

I didn't realize that until it was too late.

I was in his room after we'd finished having sex...

Let me talk.

After we finished doing the deed,

he got up and left the room.

Okay.

Two seconds later, he showed back up with two more guys.

He sat down in a chair, still drinking.

He then said,

"Relax.

We're all going to have a good time."

I kept staring at him, wondering what was going on.

I thought this was supposed to be something intimate.

I didn't know what those other two guys were doing there.

They both came up to me and started touching me.

She's changing the story.

That's not what happened!

Hold on.

I'm trying to get her side of the story.

That's not what happened, though.

Let her talk.

I was already naked in bed...

because I'd just finished having sex with him.

Then he showed up with his two friends.

I was already naked.

He basically tricked me.

So the other two guys are the ones that raped you.

Yes.

They both raped me.

I was already naked,

so it's not like they had to rip my clothes off.

I tried to scream, because they were raping me.

He was just sitting there, laughing!

Didn't you try to scream?

No! They covered my mouth.

They gagged me with a piece of my clothing.

Didn't you scratch anyone?

Why didn't you try to scratch them?

They held me down.

It was me against three other guys.

But I thought he was sitting in a chair, laughing.

Yes, but...

I couldn't defend myself against those two guys.

They pinned me down.

I was helpless.

What was I supposed to do?

I tried screaming, but...

What happened on the following day?

I mean, what happened once it was all over?

I didn't know what to do. I was in shock.

I just grabbed my things and left.

I went to the police station and filed a report.

They then ran some tests

and found three different types of semen inside me.

You wanted to sleep with all of us.

-No, they raped me, ma'am. -Did you bring any evidence?

Yes, I brought a copy of the police report.

So what happened next?

I filed a report and they ran tests on me

and they found three types of semen.

They also found pubic hair, because I'd been raped.

Other than that, they didn't leave a trace.

They must be professionals.

I'm sure they've done that before.

I swear, ma'am. I was raped.

Just because they didn't leave any marks on me

doesn't mean they didn't rape me.

I'm the victim in all this.

Go back to your podium.

Ma'am...

Yes?

I'd also like to countersue him.

I demand a restraining order against him.

Why?

You keep harassing me.

I want my money.

My mother needs her money back.

You need to pay me.

You need to pay for all you've done.

Bring out the plaintiff's witness, please.

Here's what I don't understand.

The charges were dropped.

There was no evidence of rape...

and the police considered charging you

with making false accusations.

She knew what she was doing.

Good afternoon.

What's your name?

My name is Luis.

So you're one of his friends who was there that night.

She slept with me too.

Slept with you? You raped me!

You wanted to have a threesome.

You pig!

Hold on.

I'm in the same predicament he is.

I also demand money for damages.

You can't demand money. You're just a witness.

You should've come as co-plaintiff

in order to demand money for damages.

They just want my money, ma'am!

What's your statement?

I brought evidence of damage to my car.

I've had to give it multiple paint jobs.

I also brought a copy of my mug shot,

which was featured on the news.

I see.

Is this what they did to your car at school?

They spray painted the word "RAPIST" onto it.

That's what he is!

It's the second time this happens.

And this is all despite the fact

that all the charges were dropped.

Apparently, people have a lot of time on their hands.

Okay. Let's take a short break.

Ma'am, I'm sorry to interrupt,

but I'm currently homeless.

I don't have a place to stay,

and it's all because of her accusations and slander.

She's a spoiled little girl.

She has money.

See, ma'am?

He's just interested in my money!

I'm practically homeless.

Good afternoon, Arlete.

Hello, ma'am.

I met Kelly at a university conference on rape.

I participate in these conferences

for my daughter's sake, primarily.

Four years ago, my daughter was raped.

She was raped by a famous football player.

We've been trying to seek justice for the longest time,

but all to no avail.

That's how I found out

that universities tend to keep cases like these under wraps.

What's that got to do with me?

She's just telling us about her experiences.

That's how she met Kelly.

I'm here to support Kelly

and state that these kinds of things do happen.

I don't know why,

but universities tend to quiet many incidences of rape.

Admit it. You pig.

Okay.

Let's bring out the defendant's other witness.

Good afternoon. What's your name?

Daniela.

You're here in support of Kelly.

Yes.

I don't know why.

I'm Ray's ex-girlfriend.

We were engaged.

I was totally in love with him.

I admit it.

After I found out what had happened, I forgave him.

I forgave him because I was in love with him.

Excuse you.

I was in love with him.

I noticed a stark change in his attitude.

He became violent and stopped talking to me.

He changed completely.

I went through his phone

and found a picture of her on his phone.

Why wouldn't I keep a photo of the girl who ruined my life?

I brought evidence.

-Let me see. -I was investigating her.

I found out that her family is wealthy

and now I want them to pay me back for all my losses.

Yes, I had a picture of her on my phone...

He's obsessed with her.

I just want my money and life back!

He's obsessed with her, ma'am.

How long has he been obsessed with her?

I forgave him, and even then he changed.

I'm broke and I'm being falsely accused of rape.

How am I not supposed to be pissed?

What kind of evidence is this?

I was going to marry him, ma'am.

We were going to get married!

Why would he have a picture of another girl on his phone?

That's not right.

It's only because I was trying to find out who she was.

How old are you?

20.

-How about you? - 23.

What's he doing with a picture of her?

Even if he was going to marry you...

Please.

You're cute and all,

but guys keep pictures of other girls on their phones

because they think they're pretty.

Doesn't matter if they're getting married.

That's just a fact of life.

Please bring out Mr. Hector Schwerert, investigator,

and Detective Peñate.

I haven't the slightest idea what's going on here.

Seriously.

Good afternoon.

Good afternoon, Your Honor.

What's going on here?

Well, rape is one of the most serious and traumatic crimes

that can be committed against a victim and society at large.

No doubt about that.

They not only leave profound physical wounds,

but also psychological damage that may never heal.

Rape is such a serious crime,

whenever it gets investigated,

an entire team is assigned to the victim.

The officer isn't the only one in contact with the victim.

In any case,

it should be an officer trained in handling rape cases,

preferably a woman.

There's also a psychologist and sociologist

assigned to the case.

Forensics plays a part in the case,

as does the DA and a team of social workers.

That being said,

investigators need to be careful in dealing with these cases.

If the wrong person gets interrogated

and subsequently arrested or charged,

that is going to mark them for the rest of their lives.

It doesn't matter if their case gets dismissed

or the charges dropped.

The very arrest is enough...

To taint your reputation for life.

The one thing that caught my attention in this case

as I was reading the report

was the fact that during the medical investigation,

no evidence of trauma to the vagina was found.

You can ask her any questions you'd like.

I was wondering the same thing.

If a girl gets raped by two guys,

she must have some evidence of trauma on her body.

Any evidence.

Ask away.

They used a sheet, ma'am.

I don't know how they did it.

This probably isn't their first time.

As a woman, where do I stand in all this?

I was raped.

How do we know they aren't going to rape anyone else?

She's a spoiled brat.

She clearly said she wanted to have a foursome.

We never...

You know that's a lie!

Detective, what's your take on all this?

What can I say, ma'am?

I've investigated multiple cases like this one.

I don't know exactly what happened in this case,

because arrests were made,

but I've been faced with cases

where testimonies didn't match.

He never denied having sex with her.

Neither did she.

So there isn't much point to forensics in this case,

because we know they had sex.

It's odd that the supposed subjects

don't have any markings on them

showing attempts at self-defense.

She has nails. She can defend herself.

I said that.

She must've had bruises from being pinned down.

I know!

From my experience...

Silence!

What tends to happen is,

girls partake in certain activities and experience...

They come to regret it.

Like girls who have group sex and feel guilty afterwards,

so they accuse their sexual partners of rape.

That's not what happened, ma'am.

They do it to clear their conscience.

Yes, and in doing so, they ruin the lives of others.

In these cases,

I always try to review all the available evidence

before presenting it to a DA

so that they can then make their ruling.

Only then would I proceed with an arrest.

In this case, they did do that.

The DA determined that there was insufficient evidence

to declare this a bona fide rape.

All because I wasn't bruised?

Just because they didn't leave any marks doesn't mean...

Sweetie, look.

You didn't have the slightest bruise.

In cases of rape...

Listen.

In cases of rape, there's always evidence of violence.

There must be some markings.

You claim to have been pinned down.

Your wrists must've been bruised somehow.

There must've been some kind of marking...

to prove that there was a rape.

Your genitals...

Listen!

After rape, genitals are often torn and battered.

Non-consensual sex can cause inflammation and tears

in a woman's vagina.

You exhibited none of that

according to the police investigation.

Nothing whatsoever.

You can say you were raped all you want,

but it's very hard to believe it in this case.

It's an extremely violent act.

What isn't fair?

They raped me, ma'am!

No one raped you! You wanted it!

You and your friends raped me!

You know you did!

You were completely sober!

This clearly wasn't a rape.

ALCOHOL. [Ella protesta] DOCTORA: USTED SIENTE QUE AQUÍ NO HUBO VIOLACIÓN.

Nope.

Would you agree?

As per the medical report,

there was no trauma to the vagina.

No signs of trauma anywhere.

People, listen.

Unless she managed to ease into the rape...

If you can relax during the rape, it's not really rape.

You wanted it.

Unfortunately,

that's what the evidence is showing in this case.

I need to go by the evidence

and by the way you express yourself and your case.

My ruling.

I rule in your favor.

She doesn't have to offer an apology, but I will anyway.

I'm sorry about the lie she propagated about you.

You're to pay him $100,000 in damages within 30 days.

It's final. Case closed.

Be kind, be careful, and get educated.

Give respect to earn respect.

May God help us now more than ever.

See you next time.

If you want, we could go to my house for some hot chocolate.

It's a lovely night.

It's all rainy and romantic.

Yes, of course.

But I have to wake up early tomorrow.

You're just filming four scenes after noon!

Yes, but they're complicated scenes.

I have to memorize my lines. It's a lot.

That means I can't go.

Besides, I need a solid 12 hours of sleep,

Otherwise I'll have bags under my eyes.

Yes, I know.

Dark circles.

Right. It's fine.

If you got beat up because of me, I need to know.

Who told you?

That's irrelevant.

Nonsense.

I didn't want you to find out.

So it is true.

Who did that to you? Why?

I mean, it's not like I got around to asking why.

You can probably imagine.

What'd they say, exactly?

They told me to keep away from Adriana Zubizarreta.

That's impossible, though.

How? I see you every day.

You're my boss. You're the pres!

Impossible!

I can't believe you got beat up because of me.

It's not that big of a deal.

Don't worry, I don't hold grudges.

Scaring me ain't easy.

I was always starting fights in the neighborhood.

This was practically a caress.

A violent caress, I would say.

Oh, don't exaggerate.

-I know who did it. -Who?

Oscar. Who else?

Agustin! I'm sorry.

But I'm in love with Lucas!

I can't forget about him!

I love him with all my heart!

Yes, but you shouldn't get obsessed.

Obsessed?

Nonsense! I'm not obsessed!

I'm in love!

You know what?

I don't think Lucas' relationship with Vale

will last very long.

No...

I don't mean to upset you, and I'm not bitter or anything,

but I think their relationship is definitely going to last.

What makes you think that?

I've been observing Lucas. I noticed how he looks at her.

How does he look at her?

It's special... with a look of intense love...

and I'm sorry, but he's never looked at you that way.

Oscar's always been obsessive towards me.

Maybe. You know him better than I do.

Why's he freaking out, though?

Nothing's ever happened between us.

Of course it hasn't... and it never will.

Never? Damn.

Am I that ugly?

I'm pretty beat up now...

but do you really think I don't stand a chance?

Well, no.

I mean, I haven't really thought of it before.

Come to think of it,

you are the president and I'm just an employee.

So I guess it's highly unlikely.

Oscar must have one hell of an imagination, though.

Yes. I'll to talk to him.

This doesn't end here.

What a lovely evening.

I love the rain.

It's always seemed so sexy to me.

So... inspiring.

You must be pretty drunk to be in the mood to sleep with me.

Why don't you call up one of your model boys?

Good night.

Very good idea. Cheers to that!

Hello?

Hey...

I'm glad you answered. I want to see you.

Well, guess what?

I was injured in an accident. I don't think I can pass by.

Even better.

Even better?

Yes. I can take care of you.

I love playing nurse.

No, no. I'm fine, really.

Thank you.

I still want to see you.

If you can't come tonight... make it soon.

You know what? I'll call you later.

I'm sorry.

Who was it?

The person who lent you all that money?

What?

Don't play.

I know you claimed to have received a loan from us...

but that money didn't come from the business.

Oh. Uh...

You really do know everything, don't you?

Yes.

I can tell truths from lies.

Well, I think I should go.

This rain isn't letting up.

Okay, goodnight.

Do you want to meet up at the station tomorrow

or should I pick you up at your house?

No! Meet me at the station.

-That way I get some extra rest. -Alright.

Well...

It never rains in LA, but when it does, it pours!

-Yeah. -Right, well...

Good night.

Good night.

How about I make you some coffee?

We could watch a romantic movie.

There's nothing better on a rainy night.

The thing is, I'm kind of tired.

I usually knock out halfway through a movie

whenever I'm this tired.

Would you mind if I went home?

Hi!

Mom! Good thing you're here.

Miriam wants to watch a romance movie.

I'm going home. You'll keep her company?

Sure thing, sweetie.

You have to help me!

What happened?

Carlos Lopez' mom passed away.

The love of your life's mother?

Love of my life? He was nothing of the sort!

He was just a stranger!

The Carlos Lopez we tracked down

wasn't the same guy I was looking for.

Oh... then what's the problem?

Now this Carlos Lopez is obsessed with me.

I don't know how to get rid of him!

Who cares?

He may not be your Carlos Lopez, but he's a man.

Don't let an opportunity like that one slip by.

Heck no.

I wanted to rekindle my past.

This Carlos Lopez is nothing like the original.

Spill the beans!

It's raining cats and dogs outside.

Well, the thing is,

my mom needed to pay off her mortgage and needed money.

So, one of my friends lent me the money.

That's great.

It's nice to have wealthy friends

so willing to lend a hand.

Yeah, I have some pretty great friends.

I mean, they're all a bunch of blabbermouths.

Especially my girl friends.

Your girl friends?

Speaking of girl friends...

who's that friend of yours?

Or is she your girlfriend?

Jessica?

Yeah.

Oh, come on! She's a life long friend.

Why'd you laugh?

I mean, she is pretty.

Look. Imagine this.

If she were my girlfriend, who would I go bowling with?

I'm a loyal, single man.

Yeah, but going bowling with someone doesn't mean anything.

No, but I'll tell you this much.

I'm a jealous guy.

I don't like sharing what's mine.

I also expect the same from my partners.

100% dedication. All in.

For me, it's all or nothing.

With that said, I'm going to go talk to Oscar.

It's raining, but I can go with you.

Don't worry.

Storms don't frighten me. I'm a great driver.

You really can do everything.

See you around.

With those stems, I bet she's a great driver.

It was a small, intimate party.

Only close family members were invited.

That house was really something. It was gorgeous.

You would enter though these grand doors

and up the right-hand spiral stairs.

The decorations were amazing.

The color palette was lovely.

What's his family like?

They're alright.

At first his brother was a bit touchy,

which is normal after what happened.

At the end of the day, they were quite nice to me.

Oh, God, though.

His wife had this awful tattoo on her shoulder.

She spent the whole night tossing back drinks.

How was the food?

It was delicious!

It was all catering. No house cooking.

Rich people never cook.

That's precisely what Natalia told me.

Natalia works there. She's super nice.

Lucas kissed me on the way out, by the way,

but Natalia wanted...

What did you say?

Natalia wanted a selfie with me.

No! Lucas kissed you?

It's a dream come true!

Yes, he kissed me!

That kiss... was so intense!

Tongue?

Oh, girl!

Calm down! I told you it was intense!

What a question!

I honestly thought

he'd invite me back to his place!

Yeah... it was really beautiful.

He didn't invite me to his place, though.

-He brought me back. -That's your fault.

Me? Why?

Because it is.

You probably demanded respect.

Well, the poor man is respecting you!

Yeah, he's showing you respect.

Will he respect me for much longer?

-That's up to you to decide. -Right.

I'm dying to be with him, though.

Well, let him know!

I know...

but on the other hand, I don't want him to think I'm easy.

He needs to appreciate me.

Girl, please!

Tell him to destroy you! Screw the respect!

Listen...

This is serious.

He just broke up with his lifelong girlfriend.

Yeah!

This isn't just a fling.

What if it is?

Doesn't matter!

Don't be old-fashioned.

If you lose him... I'll kill you!

Me too.

Oscar? It can't be.

Yes, Oscar.

Castro was warned to stay away from me.

Of course it was him!

I told him to come see me.

It's just...

Come on in!

Pardon me.

You called for me, Adriana?

I'm here.

Can you give us a moment, please?

-Are you sure? -I'm sure.

I'm glad you called.

I knew you'd change your mind...

and you'd thinking it over....

And report you.

Because I love you? Fine, guilty as charged.

Don't be ridiculous.

You had someone beat up.

Beat up?

I demand you leave Castro and me alone.

Who?

Come in!

What a lovely visit!

Alright, then!

What's his problem?

It's just you and me, bub!

Calm down.

Come in.

I have the results of the paternity test.

"GABRIEL CALLING"

Bustamante!

Sorry to bother you.

I wanted to know if the test results were ready.

Well, they aren't...

but I'll call you as soon as I have them.

Perfect.

Send me the results as soon as you get them.

This is really important for me, alright?

Alright. I understand.

Bustamante wants the results.

You're here early!

I thought you were coming later today.

Yeah...

It's just that I needed to talk to you.

I wanted to talk about a few things...

you know, about last night.

About the kiss.

-Was my kiss inappropriate? -No...

no.

In fact, I think...

I think I liked it, a lot.

Perhaps you took what I said the other night the wrong way.

I'm a serious woman.

I don't mess around.

But I love you with all my heart.

You're the love of my life.

I think...

Yeah, I think I'm pretty sure I know what I want.

What do you want?

Well, I...

I want to be with you.

Lady Altagracia | Episode 47 | Telemundo English - Duration: 16:37.

CC: TELEMUNDO NETWORK

LADY ALTAGRACIA

Starting today, if anyone tries to take me for a fool,

I'll show them what hell is.

My father was pushed, and when I find out who did it,

I'm going to make them eat the ground where he fell.

Are you talking about justice or vengeance?

What's the difference?

All I can see right now is how many hands...

how many people are trying

to stop the murderer from paying.

If you think back, could it have been an accident?

No, I knew my father very well.

He always said the only way to shut him up

was by killing him, and that's what they did.

I'm going to find them though.

If the law won't help me, then I'll do it my way.

Did you say Daniel Llamas?

If you wanted revenge,

you should've started with that idiot.

He was supposed to kill you that night.

Pretend to scream. Save yourself.

He's the idiot?

You all were the idiots for believing him.

I'm alive today because Daniel pretended to kill me.

He let you live on purpose?

Yes, but he raped me too.

He didn't stop any of it,

therefore I'm getting revenge on him too.

So you're a police officer in Veracruz.

First and foremost, I'm Saul's friend,

but yes, I'm also a police officer.

Saul never told me how he came in contact

with you and your organization, though.

I'm guessing from Veracruz.

No, I met Saul here.

I haven't been to Veracruz in years.

Aren't you from there?

Yes, why do you ask?

I like to know who's from my state,

as well as people who put their heart and soul into their work.

My area of investigation is femicide.

You run an organization for abused women, correct?

Yeah, we do what we can.

I admire that a lot. It's terrific.

I have nothing but respect for you.

I mean it.

Thank you,

but it's not something we should talk about here.

Yes, I agree.

I'll pay you a visit tomorrow. I think I can be of great help.

Tomorrow is actually very complicated.

That makes two of us.

Every day is very complicated for me,

but if you want something, you find a way.

I just need five minutes of your time tomorrow.

Saul needs you right now, Azucena.

-I'm going to go... -No.

Don't get too excited now.

Saul isn't your little puppet

you can take with you wherever you go.

Why don't we get some tea? It'll help you calm down.

No, I'm just fine.

It's family time right now.

Saul needs to be with his mother.

Leave him alone.

If he wants to be near his father, then let him.

Let him mourn and grieve. Let him get it all out.

The love between them was great.

Then let's go be with him.

No...

I'm not moving from here.

If that lady dares set foot in my house...

I don't know what I'm capable of...

I really don't.

Diego.

Hey, Dad.

What happened to your face?

Nothing, I got hurt at soccer.

You even suck at sports.

Know what?

Starting tomorrow morning, you're going to train with me.

That's what you need, some discipline.

I'm going to take the lazy out of you.

I'm going to teach you to defend yourself like a man.

By the way, where's your mother?

You're such a gentleman. Thank you.

They don't make them like you anymore.

You bring it out of me.

And my father raised me this way too.

That's why I wear cologne for old men.

It makes me feel proud and it reminds me of him.

It doesn't smell like old man to me.

Actually, every time you walk into my office,

it's the first thing I notice.

I actually think it's... attractive.

You really think so?

Yes.

I wanted to apologize

for bringing you to a place like this.

I know you're used to something more elegant, but...

No, I love it.

The food here is great though.

Sorry, I interrupted you.

I wanted to say

that I love that you invited me out to dinner.

I hardly ever go out to dinner,

except for when Braulio takes me to his events.

No, let me pick it up. That's my job.

You're very kind.

So different from my husband.

Remember one day I asked you something in your office?

You dodged the question.

You said it wasn't the time or the place.

I think this is the time and the place.

Honestly speaking, what do you feel for me?

What do you mean you don't know where she is?

I don't know, Dad. She's probably at work.

Go to bed.

Are you calling to yell at her?

I said go to bed. It's late.

It's Braulio.

Did you find any more evidence on Jaime Aguirre's body?

Yes, I found a strand of hair on his shirt.

The DNA test result said it's not his.

What'd you do with it?

I burned it so there wouldn't be any evidence,

just as you said.

You have nothing to worry about.

I'd better not. That's what I pay you for.

You're going to tell me the other Monkeys' names.

You want more names?

Then I want something in return.

You don't understand, do you, you bastard?

You're in no position to negotiate.

Please let me call my kids.

I don't want them to be in anguish

because they don't know if their father alive.

What about what my parents felt?

You didn't care about that.

They died without knowing

if you would all kill my sister and me.

You don't get the right to anything.

Even if you refuse to name the other Monkeys,

the drugs are going to make you talk anyway.

If you keep drugging me, I'll die without telling you.

Then I'll stop indulging you for a while.

It's time to make you suffer a different way.

Matamoros!

If you made it to colonel,

it's probably because you tortured

so many innocent people.

Am I wrong?

Well, Matamoros is going to show you

what it feels like to be on the other side of torture.

People say more money, more problems,

but that's because...

they don't have a cent!

Stop already.

Oh, come on.

I've just never seen so much money before.

I don't care about Altagracia,

her bodyguards or her thugs anymore,

because I got your money back.

What'd they say at the bank?

Can you believe they treated me like a thief?

First the teller gave me an ugly face.

When I asked him how to open an account

so we could deposit the money,

he said large deposits require an inspection.

You have to say where you got it from and all that nonsense.

Of course. It's logical.

It's a million dollars!

They make the laws so the cartels and other criminals

won't move around so much money

without the government finding out.

I guess we'll have to spend it little by little.

What do you mean spend it? This money is for my daughter.

Don't be so cheap.

I mean, you can at least buy yourself a little something.

I'd be happy to go with you.

Of course most of the money will go to Monica,

but you can enjoy whatever you have left.

How are we going to explain all this to Monica?

Where do we tell her we got so much money from?

I think Ximena's mad at me because I was with Saul.

She was so jealous.

She wanted to make him be with Mrs. Azucena, and she did it.

I don't care right now.

I don't care that she got upset.

The only person who matters right now is Saul.

Oh, Jaime...

you were always so cheerful and full of life.

I can't believe this happened.

Dad was a cheerful guy.

We should do something to honor him.

Mom, what if I ask Monica to sing a song for him?

Saul, now's not the time for that.

Yes, I'd like that.

I want her to sing a song for your father.

-Really? -Yes.

Obviously, I no longer see you

as the employee I took my frustrations out on.

I'm glad.

I also don't see you as the lover

I'd get revenge on my husband with.

I...

I don't know what it is I feel for you.

You don't know or you don't want to know?

Why don't you ask your heart?

What if I'm scared to ask my heart?

-It's just... -What?

-That I... -What?

Forget it, okay?

What do you mean?

Madam Judge, the last thing I could do is forget you.

I think about you all the time.

I think about you

because what I feel for you... is love.

Oh.

Why put a label on things though?

I mean, let's just let things go with the flow.

Why? I mean, it's not good to rush.

Don't you agree?

No...

You don't?

I mean...

Okay, but at least you're not saying no,

and that can only be progress.

Don't you agree, Madam Judge?

Progress would be

if you stopped calling me Madam Judge.

We've built intimacy, haven't we?

So when we're alone, you don't have to be so formal,

but at work or around people who know us,

you have to call me Madam Judge so no one will get suspicious.

Sir.

You're getting the check so soon?

Did that really offend you?

Can we please get the dessert menu?

The flan here is delicious. You have to try it...

Valeria.

You want me to sing a song for your father?

Is your mom okay with this?

Yes, that's why I'm asking.

My mom wants you to. I think that will help her.

If it will make your mother happy and you happy,

I'd love to.

Thank you.

This is yummy.

Wasn't there a funeral you had to go to?

Yeah, a neighbor's family member died.

The wake is tonight.

I'm taking up your time. You should go.

Just ask for the check.

You could never take up my time, Valeria.

I can go later. It's okay.

I'd rather learn more about you.

We've known each other for so long,

but there's so much I don't know about you.

-Is it good? -Yes.

Who is she?

Monica.

She lives at the tenement.

She sings like an angel.

I hope someone sings at my funeral.

We were together for so many years

and shared many happy memories, sad memories...

and love, a lot of love.

Thank you for our children...

for this home.

We lived so happily here...

but it will be empty without you.

You're gone, but I'll always carry you in my heart.

We dedicate this beautiful song to you, my love.

LADY ALTAGRACIA
