Hey guys, it's Mike Chen.
Thank you so much for watching and all the great feedback you guys gave me
for the first episode of Beyond Science News.
So we're definitely gonna keep this segment going.
So let's jump right into it.
A lot of you have been sending me this story for me to comment on.
And it's a video that was uploaded by the youtube channel Apex TV.
In the descriptions it said the video was filmed by somebody
in China near the border of Laos.
And it looks like a dragon flying in the foggy sky
and disappearing into the mountains.
Many of you have been messaging me
asking if I thought this footage was real or fake.
And of course I can't a hundred percent tell you if it is or it's not.
But here are my thoughts on it.
Yes, I a hundred percent believe that dragons,
you know, the flying magical kind, have existed
or may still exist somewhere on this planet.
I don't believe that people from cultures all around the world
just made up similar stories of flying reptilian creatures.
But this video raises a lot of red flags for me.
First of all, to meet the origin of this video seemed very suspicious
for a video supposedly filmed in China.
It did not hit the Chinese social media sites at all.
The first time anyone saw this video was on Youtube,
which I find strange because Youtube is blocked in china
and unless this was filmed by a Westerner,
who filmed it in China and brought it out of China to upload onto YouTube,
which, yeah it could be possible.
But then I think the person who filmed the video
would definitely attach her name's to it
but it was filmed by a Chinese person living in China
that I will have to assume it would hit the Chinese social medias
way before it ever gets to Youtube.
Also if you take a look at this video,
the contrast seemed really off to me.
It's really obvious how sharply in focus the dragon seen
compared to the mountains in the background.
It could be that the mountains were covered in fog
but this imagery that seemed really off to me.
So, although I believe that dragons are real,
I'm not really buying this video,
let me know what you guys think.
Next up, are we going to be seeing real life robocop soon?
The answer is Yes and these aren't the same type of Robocop's
you might be thinking of.
Well, not yet, anyway, according to the GTEX annual computer and electronic trade show,
Dubai will soon use robo cop to patrol its streets.
The robots will all have a touchscreen on his body,
which can be used to report crime and pay traffic fines.
And they will hit the streets as early as next year.
Just take a look how creepy these things are,
I mean, no mouth, what's up with that?
It looks like the mechanical version of Rorschach.
And of course this is probably just the beginning.
Maybe soon these robots will be equipped with tasers and eventually deadly firearm.
And then the revolution truly begins.
Next let's talk about the elusive planets nine
that we've been looking for ever since we gave Pluto the boots.
But now astronomers claimed the planets could be found by 2019.
If you don't know planets nine is something,
we're not really sure actually exist because we have never seen it.
We think it exists because that would explain the strange shaped orbits
of objects in the outer realms of the solar system.
And as of now there are currently up to 10 research teams looking for this planet.
And according to astronomer Mike Brown,
who was one of the first to bring up the concept of planet nine
"I'm pretty sure i think that by the end of next winter
not this winter, next winter.
I think that there will be enough people looking for it
that somebody is actually going to track this down."
Astronomers believe that planets nine is roughly 4 times the size of Earth and 10 times the mass.
And takes between 10 to 20,000 years to make a trip around the Sun.
And finally if you're looking for work,
I've got this super in-demand position for you.
There is currently a profession
that has to fulfill millions of requests every single year
and there's just not enough people trained around the world
to handle that sort of demand.
Also this job is noble.
If you take it you will be helping to save people from evil
and sending the evildoers to a place
where they can't hurt anybody anymore.
Sounds pretty good, right?
Did I peak your interest? You think you might want to sign up.
But I do think I need to mention that the evildoers i'm talking about,
they're actually demons and the place you're supposed to send them to is Hell.
Not like sitting through a kardashian marathon Hell.
not like held Michigan hell, held hell.
According to reports there are a lot of demands for exorcisms
but the Catholic Church is struggling to keep up with the demand
because too many young priests are too afraid to become exorcists.
This number is really shocking and kind of freaking me out ran out.
Because in 2015 alone, just in Italy,
there were about 500,000 exorcism requests for the only nine exorcists.
I mean I get it I wouldn't want to be an exorcist.
Who wants to go to work every day
and have to see stuff like this
You get scared half to death, maybe pee your pants a little,
you get vomits on your clothes and you gotta go to laundry every day
and vomit sometimes hard to get off your clothes and detergent is expensive.
Ok not the main problem but still.
I can I tell you guys sort of a creepy story.
I went to Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri
and this place was really haunted.
I mean, I don't know why ghost, whatever want to haunt this town
because it's only got like one good restaurants
it doesn't make any sense to me.
So anyway, this campus has got at least three dorms
that were all supposedly haunted and I was living in one of them.
I was an RA in this dormitory called a Ryal Hall
that used to be an all girls dormitory
It's supposedly what happened at Ryal Hall in the seventies was that
There was an RA that was hit by a car and she tragically died.
After her death, things just went crazy.
Her room was like a poltergeist moved in.
You know the typical stuff, folks are flying off the shelf,
people hearing whispers, ghostly chills everywhere.
It got so bad that the school had to bring in an exorcist.
Supposedly after that, everything calm down and the residents all thought:
"Okay, maybe she finally moved on, her spirit has passed."
But then one night, some crazy girls decided to play with a Ouija board.
Never a good idea, people is not a toy.
So they used a Ouija board to try to communicate with the ghost of this dead RA
and it worked
Now I don't know what transpired during the entire conversation.
But the story as it was told to me was that
the ghost left one important message
and it said: "I will always be here looking after my girls."
So I don't know what happened,
maybe the exorcism just really kind of nailed her down a bit.
But supposedly, that goes is still in Ryal Hall at Truman State University.
Anyway, creepy story for you guys.
And to summarize, a flying dragon was filmed in China.
Robo cops may be coming soon.
Planets 9 may be found in the next 16 months
and we need more people to go fight demons.
