[laughing]
- Ready? - Shall we begin?
Ms. Marmalady pretends to have hurt her leg.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses ANALYSIS - Nintendo Direct Trailer (Secrets & Hidden Details!) - Duration: 31:10.
More information has finally been unveiled for Fire Emblem: Three Houses thanks to the
recent Nintendo Direct.
And while it only seems to be a taste of what the full game has to offer, the possibilities
have us quite intrigued to say the least.
But there's always more hiding in a Nintendo trailer.
So we're calling upon the old Analysis Machine yet again to see what secrets and hidden details
it can find.
And we'll begin with the story of Three Houses.
The basic idea is that your character is the son or daughter of a mercenary captain by
the name of Jeralt.
Naturally this means that the character creator has returned although we don't get to see
much of it.
All we know so far is what the default appearance of the male and female protagonist looks like
though presumably the hair style, hair color, and voice clips can be changed.
As the previous trailer revealed, the default name of the player character is Byleth which
is how we'll be referring to him from now on.
But it is truly impressive to see the cutscenes rendered with Byleth, no matter which design
you choose, as part of them showing that everything is being done in real time.
But we're going to try to match the separate scenes shown during the Direct to reconstruct
the beginning of this story.
From what we can tell, it begins with the three House Leaders from the Garreg Mach Monastery's
Officer School joining Byleth and Jeralt on some kind of expedition.
Jeralt seems familiar with the Church's soldiers as he likely gets contracts from
them pretty often while Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude gravitate around Byleth as they
seem roughly the same age.
Why these three are there is hard to say, but it's likely meant to start preparing
the player for what House they'll ultimately be a part of.
At some point though, the group encounters bandits and things seem to go very wrong as
one scene shows Byleth taking an axe to the back.
However, this specific scene takes place after he has met the mysterious young girl, Sothis.
It appears that as Byleth takes the axe to the back, he's transported in front of Sothis
who then awakens and asks what brings him there.
A later scene shows Byleth bent over with his sword, the same position as when he was
attacked with the axe which we believe confirms our theory on the order of events.
It's here that some kind of pact is formed with Sothis.
We can even make out pieces of what she says, specifically her mentioning Byleth needing
someone to guide him from now on.
It appears that she ties in directly with his newly awakened powers that the narrator
mentions.
But before we get to those powers, let's take a closer look at Sothis.
By all appearances, she seems to be a Manakete or a dragon that stored her powers in a Dragonstone
in order to take on a human form, much like the series most well known dragon, Tiki.
Interestingly, her design includes ropes that are bound across her chest though they don't
seem to be restricting her in any way.
Red and white ribbons are tied in her hair and on each wrist while the rest of her outfit
consists of black and gold.
We only ever see her on this dark throne so is she bound there in some way?
It's hard to say for sure, but we do believe she grants or at least instructs Byleth on
his new power.
What is that new power?
Well, let's return to the scene where Byleth has an axe in his back, which takes place
after this meeting with Sothis.
We see a warping effect as events seem to rewind then the bandit tries to attack with
his axe again.
But this time Byleth is prepared and disarms him.
Based on this, we believe Byleth has the power to slightly rewind time, much like Mila's
Turnwheel in Fire Emblem Echoes.
Players will likely have limited chances to fix mistakes in each battle which was a handy
feature in that game so it's good to see it return here.
This attack by the bandit seems to take place on the outskirts of a village.
Perhaps this is where the initial meeting between Byleth, Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude
takes place and the walking scene we saw earlier is after this.
Either way, it seems Edelgard in particular was the one Byleth was protecting with the
other two coming in after the bandit is defeated.
What's odd though is that someone in this group recognizes Byleth's new power and
feels it's suitable enough to offer him a teaching position at the Garreg Mach Monastery's
Officer Academy.
Perhaps the position was supposed to go to your father first.
After all, other students do mention him so he's a man of some renown.
Maybe he denied the offer but once this power awakened, he recommends Byleth so that his
son might gain some modicum of control and learn its origin.
This is all just guesswork on our part though.
We then see the Garreg Mach Monastery itself which houses not only the Officer Academy,
but the Church of Seiros and their personal army, the Knights of Seiros.
It's safe to say that Seiros is the goddess that the narration spoke of when giving the
history of the Fodlan continent, but why does the Church need its own militia?
Is it to settle disputes, promote unity by having people of each country work together,
or simply a display of its own power?
There's not enough information to know for sure, but it is odd that if the goal is unity
that the students are divided amongst Houses representing each country.
At any rate, a key image does portray a lot of dragons so it's likely that Sothis has
some kind of connection to the Church's history.
The Monastery itself seems quite large but it's difficult to tell if it's made up
of several structures and this is just the Academy or if everything is integrated together.
We believe it's the latter due to Byleth and his father looking up at a particular
building and a scene showing the Academy students and Seiros Knights eating in the same mess
hall.
The Monastery is amongst the mountains with a defensive wall below making us wonder why
it would need to protect itself from an attack.
Unless there's some kind of greater enemy out there, which is certainly possible.
The final question we have regarding the Church of Seiros is what this ceremony is about.
It's definitely important as the leader of the Church is present with what appears
to be a high-ranking official.
In addition, the knights behind them are holding the flags and colors of the Black Eagle House.
While we're not completely sure, we believe this is the ceremony that takes place once
Byleth has chosen the House that he will represent.
In this case, it's the Black Eagles which we'll see more evidence of later in the
analysis.
There's still some story elements to cover that were revealed at the end of the trailer,
but we'll save those for the end of the analysis as well since there's not much
connective tissue between them yet.
For now, let's take a closer look at what Byleth will actually be doing in the Officier
Academy as a teacher.
Our first proper look at the Officer's Academy shows some of the students training in the
yard.
Two are on the side with the blond girl wielding a practice lance and four in the back with
Dimitri likely in the center.
In fact, a later scene shows what's likely a close-up of this fight as he takes on multiple
students at once.
We suspect this scene takes place when Byleth first enters the Academy and gets a small
tour.
This is the training yard where we see more students and specifically Dimitri.
And that's all but confirmed as we get a close-up of the students on the right with
the boy practicing archery.
As we'll learn later, the girl he's with is named Annette.
Continuing this tour, we see an older professor teaching two of the students magic while the
next scene shows another teacher reading to an entire group of students.
There's writing on the chalkboard as well, but it's not entirely clear what she's
teaching the class.
It could be educational basics like a language class or even tactics and history.
Interestingly, the students have different symbols sewn into the back of their uniforms,
but we couldn't clearly determine what they mean.
They're different from the House sigils so they may have more of a connection to their
rank or status in the school.
Notably, the symbol on the back also determines the style of their uniform potentially hinting
at a further connection to their rank in the Academy.
We then learn more about each of the Houses at the Academy and how each represents one
of the three major countries.
As the trailer states Edelgard is the leader of the Black Eagle House and the heir of the
Adrestian Empire, Dimitri is the House leader of the Blue Lions and prince of the Faerghus
Kingdom, and Claude is the leader of the Golden Deer House and future leader of the Leicester
Alliance.
As we stated before, it's curious that rather than promoting true unity, the Houses are
split along countries.
The students can interact together as we've seen, but we wonder if there's perhaps a
competitive element between the Houses.
Otherwise, this seems to serve as a way for future leaders to learn more about leading
while interacting with people from all over the continent.
More interesting though is how each showcase of the three main characters also has a scene
playing in the background.
We mentioned before how Dimitri's shows him facing off against other students in combat,
but Edelgard and Claude seem to be more about interacting with other members of their House.
Edelgard is demonstrating some kind of magic to a group of students, many of whom we'll
see later when talking about the combat.
Claude, on the other hand, is talking about a map of the continent with his classmates
so it's possible that they're planning a mission.
If it's like Dimitri, then both might be demonstrating to the player the various facilities
that can be used to improve your units at the Academy, which seems extremely likely.
Before choosing a House, it looks like the player will have a chance to meet many of
the characters to help decide which they'd like to be a part of.
It's a good option as some players may like not like a leader, but still like the other
students in that house.
And this chance to meet them is absolutely the case as Annette, who's on the left,
mentions to Mercie that she thinks Byleth is the mercenary everyone is talking about.
As we'll see later, the students refer to Byleth as professor once he becomes a teacher.
The next encounter has the player meeting Sylvain Jose Gautier.
It's rare to meet a Fire Emblem character with a full name, but this name is even more
significant than that.
Gautier is actually a region on the Fodlan map, on the northern border in the kingdom
of Faerghus.
This means that Sylvain is a member of the Blue Lion House, but it also confirms that
many of the students at the Officer Academy are the sons and daughters of nobles.
Perhaps other characters will have the surnames of other locations on the map.
However, it's likely that not every possible unit will be a noble.
Next we meet Raphael and Leonie, who we saw with Claude in his earlier scene, making them
members of the Golden Deer House.
Again this dialog shows that this is still before Byleth becomes a teacher, but he is
well known as a mercenary and the son of Captain Jeralt.
We should also mention that during these conversations, there are options to let them auto advance
or even look at a log of past dialog in case you missed something.
Eventually you'll have to choose a House though we still don't know how big of a
change this will entail.
Will they each have unique stories?
Or just unique characters?
Or does it simply shift when certain characters join you?
The trailer provides no insight on this unfortunately, but there's a ton of potential in terms
of replayability depending on which route Three Houses takes.
In the case of this trailer though, the player picks the Black Eagle House of Edelgard.
And we soon get a look at this lineup of Black Eagle students in the next scene where you've
already taken over as a professor.
It looks like this batch of students have been chosen to join the Seiros Knights in
order to suppress some rampaging bandits as real-world experience is part of the Academy.
What's intriguing though is the text in the top left stating where this is taking
place and the time of day so it's possible that different events could happen around
the Academy depending on the time.
This is the only time we see it though so it's difficult to say how important it really
is.
We'll get to the battle mechanics soon enough, but we did want to mention that the 8 students
here do join Byleth in the mission that takes place afterward.
We even get most of their names throughout the trailer.
Petra is the girl on the far left, Linhardt is the boy to the left of Edelgard, Bernadetta
is the girl to the right of Edelgard, Dorothea is the next to her, then there's Caspar
with the light blue hair, and Ferdinand on the far right.
The only one whose name we don't know is the boy between Petra and Linhardt.
But as the professor of these students you do more than just command them in battle,
you also develop lesson plans to expand their combat abilities, which takes place in the
same room as the teacher reading before.
As a part of Lesson Plans, you can choose which students to tutor and how, have the
game automatically tutor them, put them in a group task to help multiple students, and
set goals for them to reach.
However, there seems to be a limited number of times you can tutor students in one sitting.
There's a green bar at the top with the number three while Tutoring has a one next
to it and Auto-Tutor has a three.
So it appears likely that you can only improve three students at a time with each lesson
plan.
Notably though, Group Tasks and Setting Goals don't have these numbers meaning that tutoring
likely gives immediate benefits while Tasks and Goals are something focused on over time.
And we actually see evidence of this in the trailer.
Our look at Tutoring comes in the form of Dorothea.
With this, you can train students in any Skill you'd prefer and thanks to a later scene,
we know exactly what each of these Skills are: Swords, Lances, Axes, Bows, Fighting,
Reason, Faith, Authority, Heavy Armor, Riding, and Flying.
While many of these are proficiencies we've seen in the past, many are seemingly new.
However, with the exception of Fighting and Authority, all of these Skills tie into familiar
aspects of Fire Emblem.
For example, as we'll soon see Reason is the Skill tied to offensive magic while Faith
relates to healing magic.
We'll explain each of these as they appear.
Each student is unique though as they'll acclimate to certain Skills more than others
as indicated by the up arrows, down arrows, and pointing fingers.
While we don't see what the pointing fingers do, the up arrows indicate that bonuses will
be added in terms of experience in that Skill allowing them to grow more quickly.
However, it's possible that the Skill Bonuses are determined by the Growth Goals that we
see in the bottom right.
Swords and Reason are chosen and those are the ones with possible bonuses.
Is that that because they're Goals or did the player chose those Goals because of the
natural bonuses.
Unfortunately, there's no real way to know for sure.
We do suspect that the down arrow will lower the amount of experience gained toward that
Skill, but it still may be worth doing as there are three stars next to it as well.
Does this indicate some kind of special Art will be learned, something we'll see more
of in the combat section?
Or are Arts earned from the pointing finger?
Again, there's no evidence to show how it actually works.
There is one more aspect to tutoring thanks to the meter at the top right.
It seems a student can be tutored up to three times so the player can choose to focus on
a single student or spread the lessons around.
Once the type of tutoring is chosen, the experience points are assigned.
In this case granting 1.5 times the normal amount thanks to that bonus.
But this also increases her bond with Byleth creating another aspect of choosing which
students you want to tutor.
Perhaps its possible that Group Tasks strengthen the bonds of all the students in that group?
Unfortunately, we don't see what that entails.
Instead, we get a better look at how the Setting Goals option works.
For Linhardt, his apparent default focus is Reason and Faith, but there's also the option
to create a custom focus although they can't be doubled up in order to grow faster.
On the right, we can see his Skill level with each one available although we can't help
but wonder if that'll be expanded as there are four open slots.
We're not sure what they could be expanded with though as many of the major aspects of
Fire Emblem combat are represented here.
We should also mention that the Goal List specifically mentions that these are Solo
Study Skills so it's possible that Group Tasks will have unique Group Study Skills
as well.
Although we don't see the Pair-Up option in the trailer, it's possible that unique
Arts could be used depending on which characters are paired.
Finally, we see that Linhardt's tutor meter is completely filled.
This means he hasn't been tutored at all since Dorothea's meter drained as she was
being taught.
We do wonder though if other activities will drain this meter or if the face next to it
has any special meaning.
Either way, the potential customization for every character is quite exciting, but there's
still one more aspect of the Academy to see.
It looks like it's possible to have every character be any class you want.
All that's required is having them learn the necessary Skills.
We don't see a complete list but some of the Classes include Mercenary, Thief, Knight,
Cavalier, Brigand, (which is also the first time it's been a playable class since Fire
Emblem: Thracia 776) Archer, Mage, and Priest.
The example given is the Brigand class which requires the student to have their Axe Skill
at a C or higher.
However, an Intermediate Seal is also necessary although the trailer does show where these
can be earned.
In an earlier scene, it looks like training tournaments can take place between the Houses.
Here we see Ferdinand face off against Sylvain, who we believe is part of the Blue Lion House.
Both are equipped with training lances meaning that even if you lose, your character won't
die.
Interestingly, this is Round 2 so it looks like your chosen student is healed between
Rounds.
The first Round only netted Ferdinand 50 gold, but winning the second round will net him
300 gold and an Intermediate Seal necessary to choose a class.
However, there is an option to withdraw if the match-up isn't looking so good.
While your character can't die, it's likely that the rewards earned up to that point won't
be kept.
Withdrawing allows players to keep what they've earned, ensuring the Intermediate Seal for
example.
There is something strange about this though.
Ferdinand has three Skill symbols beneath his stats and, as we just saw, only two Skills
could be focused on at a time.
So maybe the Group Skill option is one that a group of students all focus on that is unique
to them?
That's the only solution that we can really think of.
It's worth noting that Sylvain also has Skill symbols beneath his stats.
Could this be a hint that students from other Houses can eventually join as units?
We're not sure, but it has us curious.
The fight itself doesn't seem to contain any strategy though.
Instead it's just the fighters trading blows until one is knocked out.
So it only seems to come down to making sure your strikes hit harder and more accurately.
But it also serves to keep this training brief.
Returning to the Class change scene, there are aspects of this that leave us curious.
We see that the exam contents provide a brief overview of what the class can do, but there's
also an option to flip through the pages with the shoulder buttons.
What other information could be shown?
Unfortunately, we don't see, but having Skills be required to become these Classes
makes it possible to give educated guesses on what Skills are necessary for each one.
Knights will likely need Heavy Armor and a weapon, Cavaliers may need Riding and a weapon,
Pegasus Knights could require Lances and Flying, and even Wyvern Riders may be possible with
Flying and Axes.
And all of this is up to the player.
To finish this off, once the class is chosen, we see Edelgard take the exam, pass and get
promoted.
The last aspect of the Academy that we see is a scene taking place in the mess hall which
seems to be where students can interact with each other and potentially increase their
bonds.
Neither of these students seem to be part of the Black Eagle House though they may join
later and only the boy, Ashe, is given a name.
We don't see what benefits the mess hall may provide beyond these interactions and
there could still be more to the Academy itself.
But as of right now, this is looking to be one of the most customizable casts in the
history of the series thanks to these options.
Of course this is all just preparations for the battles.
Let's see what Three Houses has to offer in terms of the actual fights.
This brings us back to the scene where Edelgard and the other Black Eagle students are preparing
to face off against a group of bandits.
We soon arrive at the scene and the camera pans over the battlefield, showing a chest
in the process.
So either a Thief or a Chest Key will be required to open it.
As for the bandits, there are eleven to defeat on this map.
These include swordsmen, mages, and archers while the lead bandit, Kostas, wields an axe
along with a few others.
We then get a look at the player's side of the field as the battle starts.
We can see the eight students from Black Eagle House are indeed here along with Byleth as
each one is easily marked by a profile picture and a symbol noting their weapon type.
Petra wields a sword, Caspar has an axe, Dorothea has a tome, Ferdinand has a lance, Bernadetta
has a bow, Byleth has a sword, Edelgard uses an axe, Linhardt has a healing tome, and the
character whose name we don't know has a different kind of tome.
Perhaps this ties into Authority in some way?
But based on what we see later, we're not so sure.
It may simply be another type of elemental tome or maybe it provides status effects.
Another oddity are the three green arrows arranged like the Triforce that is next to
each character with the exception of Dorothea.
We don't really know what these indicate.
Of course they tie into some other aspect of the battles, but it's never demonstrated
in the trailer and there's really not even a hint as to what it could be.
Perhaps they indicate who can use the new Gambit?
Or maybe they tie into the three stars we saw during Dorothea's tutoring which is
why she doesn't have them, but why does everyone else when this is clearly an early
battle in the game.
After all, both Byleth and Bernadetta are only level 2.
Like the previous trailer showed, movement is still grid-based and the characters don't
follow the exact path, opting to move more naturally across the landscape.
The cursor also indicates what type of terrain it is along with the bonuses it allows, if
any, just like past games.
Once Bernadetta moves, options appear for her to take including Attack, special abilities
known as Arts, the new Gambits, Items, Trade, and Wait.
Intriguingly the Rescue command doesn't appear from past games though it may be left
off if not available.
After all, it's possible Trade wouldn't be an option if she wasn't next to Edelgard.
It's possible that Bernadetta has less constitution and just can't pick up Edelgard.
Once Attack is selected, her held weapons are shown including their stats.
Weapon durability returns meaning they'll break after the listed number of uses.
The Iron Bow is clearly marked as being effective against flying units while the Mini Bow, which
was previously called the Short Bow before Fire Emblem Fates, is likely still unique
in that it only has a range of one.
While it lacks range, it would allow the user to counterattack if they were hit by a enemy
that gets in closes.
Speaking of, battle lines for the two other bandits show which of your units they're
most likely to attack although, oddly, the one Bernadetta targets never has a battle
line appear.
Once the weapon is chosen, we see the stats for the attack.
Bernadetta will do 10 damage with 100% accuracy and a 2% chance of getting a critical hit
on the enemy.
This bandit is classified as a Thief, which is odd considering Thieves can't wield axes
in Fire Emblem.
Maybe all the bandits are called thieves despite the class name?
It's also worth noting that the enemy's weapon also shows how many uses it has before
it breaks, a first for the series, at least on this screen.
Above the character portraits, the player can quickly cycle through the different weapons
to compare stats and even choose a Combat Art to use.
It seems much easier for players to decide the best course of action.
But what has us really curious are the three symbols at the top.
Two have to do with the Skills Bernadetta is likely focusing on, but the third shows
a person engulfed in flames.
Perhaps this is an Ability or Gambit she's working toward with a group?
We don't know for sure though especially because this is a really early battle.
Before attacking, Bernadetta does choose to use a Combat Art, Curved Shot, even though
it only does one more damage.
However, more importantly, it extends her range allowing her to potentially target any
of the three bandits.
This comes with a cost though as the number three is shown next to Curved Shot.
We suspect that this means that rather than being a single use of the Iron Bow, it would
instead be three uses, maybe even four if just using the bow still counts.
This provides a risk vs reward element where players have to decide if it's worth wearing
down a weapon sooner in exchange for potentially useful abilities.
It also explains why these bows have more uses than ever before.
The Iron Bow had 45 uses at most in previous games while the Mini Bow only ever maxed out
at 22.
So balancing has been considered when it comes to these Arts.
Like the reveal trailer showed before, units on either side have other fighters join them
to make it seem like more of a large scale battle though oddly the bandit has archers
with him despite using an axe.
Perhaps it's possible to customize what these support units will be?
Fortunately, we do learn a bit more about them later in the trailer, but the next scene
focuses on Petra in another battle.
It jumps right into her attack though so we're not sure if this is the same battle or a different
location but we suspect the former.
That said, there's something downright weird about Petra's attack.
She's only wielding an Iron Sword yet she she has a 100% chance of getting a critical
hit.
How is that possible?
It can't be an Art or Gambit as neither is listed so maybe it's a natural ability
or some kind of new spell was used on her?
We really don't know, but it's left us kind of bewildered.
Despite that, we do see that Critical attacks still do three times the damage that normally
would've been done.
Petra shows off even more changes though.
After defeating the enemy, she earns her experience.
But there's way more here than just her own progress toward leveling up.
She earns 48 experience points for defeating the bandit, but before those are tallied,
we see that it takes 110 experience points to level up.
In past Fire Emblem games, the amount need was always 100 so it seems leveling might
be rebalanced as well.
In addition, the Skills that Petra is focusing on gain experience showing what's needed
in order to raise their rank.
They're collectively known as a Professor Level.
Her sword skill earns three points while the Authority Skill obtains only 2 points, likely
because it wasn't what was used to earn the experience.
This new experience screen also shows how long until a character's class is mastered.
While we don't know Petra's class, it's definitely still early in the game.
Maybe the further a class is mastered, new Gambits or Arts unlock?
Either way, she only earns one point so it seems to tie into the amount of enemies defeated,
unless certain enemies count for more points.
It seems like this could take a while so maybe skirmishes will be an option so characters
can work toward mastering their class.
Finally, we see that the support units that appear when attacking are called Battalions
and they have their own levels.
In this case, they're infantrymen which likely explains the boot symbol.
It also specifies that they're Empire Infantry and Edelgard does game from an Empire.
If our idea that each of these students are nobles from that country is correct then it
likely means that these Battalions are their retainers joining them in battle, providing
context as to why these soldiers are helping students.
But the fact that Battalions can be leveled and have different types also means that our
theory that they can be assigned to cover for weaknesses is also possible.
Unfortunately, we don't get to see a specific Battalion screen.
Another battle scene takes place in a grassy field near some ruins and feature our first
look at the Faith Skill in action.
Rather than wield staves, healers now have tomes as well as we see here with Linhardt
aiding Byleth.
We then see the new fist Skill in action as Caspar fights with a pair of Iron Gauntlets.
They seem to have a low attack but more than make up for it with high speed, which grants
the double attack, and a greater critical chance.
But this brings up another point.
We haven't seen any evidence of the weapon triangle yet.
Now this seems to be on purpose as no attack used throughout the trailer has an advantage
or disadvantage even if the triangle is in place.
But we do wonder how these new fist attacks fit in if it does return?
And if it doesn't, what will be the new advantage of using these different weapons?
Hopefully the next trailer answers these questions.
This attack with Caspar also features a new interior location and a new enemy, a Western
Church Soldier.
Is the western church still part of the Church of Seiros making this more of a skirmish?
Or are there rival churches trying to cause trouble?
Beyond this scene, these units never appear again so it's another thing we just don't
know at the moment.
We then get our first look at Gambits, which seem to be able to get a boost from up to
three other characters.
And this is later in the game as the three boys helping Edelgard all have different clothes
than the standard Academy uniform so they've gone through a Class Change.
Despite seeing this Gambit Boost, we're still no closer to understanding how it works,
but a single frame before the portraits appear does reveal the positions of the four units
in question.
One is to the right of the monster with two more directly in front of it and another just
behind Edelgard.
According to the attack screen, this is called a Coordinated Gambit which we presume means
that all 4 characters shown will attack one after the other.
Based on all of this, it's possible that Pair Ups are a thing of the past and Gambits
are a full-blown replacement.
Maybe even more complex attack patterns will become available as the game goes on.
But this scene also provides our only clear look at what the Authority Skill does, at
least we presume this is related to that Skill.
Instead of attacking herself, Edelgard sends forth her Battalion.
And this is no Gambit or Art as it's clearly marked where her weapon would be.
In this case, it's an Assault Troop.
But what's really fascinating is that she's next to the monster on the map yet it cannot
counterattack.
Is this the major advantage of using a Battalion?
And could it be balanced by not allow Edelgard to counter if she's attacked?
We're not sure but this attack also causes a fair amount of damage though there's no
chance of getting a critical.
So does this mean that leveling the Battalion strengthens their potency in combat for the
Authority Skill?
It would be a way to balance them since they can't really be limited to a certain number
of uses unless the amount of troops you have decreases the lower your health is.
And Petra did have the Authority Skill equipped so leveling the Battalions could be unique
to it.
Then there's the monster itself.
It's known as the Black Beast and is utterly massive, taking up four spaces on the battle
map.
It's not alone either as bandits can be seen behind it.
The Black Beast uses a fist weapon called the Crest Stone of Gautier.
And as we mentioned before with Sylvain, Gautier is a real location on the map found on the
northern edge of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus.
This means that despite choosing the Black Eagle House, you won't be limited to only
visiting that country.
Still, why is this creature wielding a crest stone as a weapon?
We have an idea, but it should be noted that this creature appears in a cutscene toward
the end of the trailer, providing a better sense of the sheer scale and ferocity of it.
But we think this creature was given life by the man we see earlier.
Not only does he have an evil look to him, but we see him wielding a dark energy.
We wonder if he's using this energy to summon creatures like the Black Beast or if he's
infusing objects with this dark energy to give them life.
After all, we do some kind of black goop spreading around a symbol.
Maybe the reason the Black Beast wields the Crest Stone of Gautier is because it is the
Crest Stone.
This villain uses the energy to give life to a statue which is the substance we see
later.
His power is a corrupting influence which is why the trailer ends with that energy heading
straight for Byleth though he's unflinchingly staring it down.
We're almost done here, but there are still three characters in these final cutscenes
that we wanted to bring mention to.
The first seems to be an orange-haired girl with a shaking red eye.
We never see her full face, but we don't believe she's any of the students that we've
seen up to this point.
Is she getting corrupted by the villain or is something else going on?
How important is she to this story?
And the same goes to the swordsman wielding a glowing red sword we see here.
Again, we haven't seen her before, but she doesn't look like a student of the Academy.
What could her role be?
The last character we see is a mage wearing a plague mask so it's likely that this is
a follower of the villain.
The plague mask even makes thematic sense if this villain is spreading a corrupting
influence like a virus.
And that's everything that we could find in the Fire Emblem: Three Houses Direct trailer.
It looks like there's been some significant changes to the formula with a greater sense
of unit customization, a swifter interface, and brand new combat ideas.
There's still plenty of questions though such as the overall story, whether the weapon
triangle will return, how different each playthrough is when selecting a house, and what kind of
relationships can be forged among your units.
We can't wait to see what awaits as more information comes out.
Of course, if we missed anything in this analysis let us know in the comments.

376 What Does Content Marketing Look Like in 2019 V01 - Duration: 5:51.
The blogosphere is competitive.
There's over a billion blogs.
That's one blog for every seven people.
How are you gonna compete?
What is content marketing gonna look now
in today's competitive environment?
Hey everyone, I'm Neil Patel,
and today I'm gonna share with you
what does content marketing look like in 2019?
(upbeat music)
Before we get started,
if you want more content marketing tips,
more marketing tips in general,
whether it's essay or social media,
make sure you subscribe to this video and this channel,
that way as I release more content
you'll get notified about it.
Now I have a question for you.
How many of you guys push out content,
and get very little traffic to it?
If you're not getting results,
leave a comment with yes.
If you're getting a ton of results,
leave a comment with no.
See in 2019 content won't rank as well as it used to.
Yes they say content is king,
but you already know there's over a billion blogs.
Nowadays Google isn't just picking from,
hey what content do we wanna rank,
'cause we lack content.
They're like, we have content on everything under the sun,
and the same thing a hundred other times.
So now they're just not picking,
what content do we wanna rank?
They're looking at authority, user metrics,
they're even looking at when was the content created.
Why would they wanna rank a content that's two years old,
when they can rank something that's less than one week old.
So when it comes to content marketing in 2019,
you need to make sure that your content's
also being up to date.
If you don't update your old content,
you're not going to get as much love
as people who're continually pushing out new fresh content.
Second tip I have for you
is don't regurgitate the same information
over and over again.
People are tired of reading 12 SEO tips
that'll double your traffic.
You can google it,
there's probably different variations of that number,
but there's probably hundreds of articles on that subject.
Write something new, fresh, that hasn't been seen before,
you're more likely to get traffic, rankings,
and even social shares.
I know you're not gonna like this third tip,
but the third tip for you guys
is to create video and audio based content.
Text is overrated,
it doesn't help you connect with people as much as video.
I still love text, I still crank out text,
but the future is video.
It's much more personable, people get to know you,
your personality, your company better.
So create video based content,
upload it to YouTube, Linkedin,
heck you can even do Twitter and Instagram
if it's short enough,
and of course Facebook.
Don't share the same video over and over again,
like sharing your YouTube video on Facebook.
You gotta take that video all over again,
and reupload it into Facebook.
Linkedin for example,
you gotta reupload the video all over again
versus sharing the link to that Facebook video.
Or that YouTube video.
Now with audio you wanna create a podcast,
it's easy, you can just bust out your phone,
create a audio file, upload it to Itunes or Lip Sync,
and you're off and to the races.
Same with video,
you don't actually have to go into a studio like I am,
and shoot all these fancy videos and pay money.
You can just bust out your phone.
I would even say most the time,
from all the tests we've ran,
the videos that you end up running on your iPhone
convert better if you're selling a product or service.
So there's nothing wrong with doing that.
Just look at Tai Lopez,
he's known for just busting out his phone,
and recording videos and it does very well for him.
And the last tip I have for you is promoting your content.
In 2019 you gotta spend more time promoting than writing.
Again, I can't emphasize this enough.
There's too much content on the web.
It doesn't matter how good of a content piece you write,
it's not gonna be seen unless you promote it.
So spend more time promoting than writing.
Use the 80 20 rule.
20% time writing, 80% promoting.
And a few ways I would promote it is one,
email all the people who link to your competitor content,
and ask them for a link.
So you can use tools like Buzzsumo,
type in a query related to your space,
see all the other popular articles within your space.
You then take that and put that url into hrefs.
Shows you all the people who link link to that url.
Then you hit up all those people that link to it,
and be like, hey john,
I noticed you linked to article A,B and C
from author 1, 2 and 3.
I have a similar article that just came out,
but mine covers this,
that and the other that the original one didn't.
If you like it feel free to link to mine, cheers, Neil.
Then you also need to get social shares.
Getting backlinks isn't enough.
Facebook, Twitter, all these social sites
drive a lot of traffic.
Similar to how you went into Buzzsumo,
and you researched all the other
competing articles on the web.
You then wanna go to Buzzsumo, go back to those articles,
click on the view shares button,
and it'll show you every single person
who shared those articles.
That simple thing will help you get more social traffic.
And in 2019 if you don't leverage these tactics
you're not gonna do well.
A lot of people have the old mentality of,
hey I'm just gonna keep creating new and new content,
and just crank out 10 posts a day.
Well if you do that you're probably gonna regurgitate,
you're not gonna get rankings.
Google already has more authoritative sites to choose from.
You can't just do the old stuff
that worked in 2018 and 2017.
You gotta leverage these tactics,
even the video stuff I described.
I know a lot of you are like,
I don't wanna create video, it's too much work.
You know what?
With YouTube SEO I get over a hundred thousand visitors
a month just from YouTube SEO.
That's amazing, it's a channel you have to leverage.
And best of all, unlike Google SEO,
YouTube SEO, you can get results in less than a week.
I kid you not, I created a video on SEO,
and I started ranking for the term SEO on YouTube
in less than one week.
So thank you for watching,
and if you enjoyed this video
make sure you like, subscribe, comment,
share this video, and of course,
if you need help with your content marketing

How To Buy The Best Router or WiFi System For Your Smart Home - Duration: 20:17.
choosing a Mesh Wi-Fi system or a router in your home these days can be a daunting
task and if you're looking at this right now and you're someone who's starting to
develop your smart home I've produced a buying guide right here that will help
you go ahead and make a smart purchase and be ready for the future of smart
homes so let's get going
the internet of things will change the realm of routers and Wi-Fi dramatically
and we've already seen some of these changes start to occur with the
introduction of devices like the Amazon Echo series of products HomePod and of
course Google Home's whole suite of products those devices are now pulling a
lot of data in a lot of cases and this means that you can have a really
distribution be utilizing a lot of network bandwidth with things like smart
home cameras on top of that as we go for there are other considerations that you
need to have as it relates to a smart home router so let's go through a few
things that I think are absolutely required on your router to be prepared
for the next five to ten years of at home Wi-Fi and router coverage 802.11ac
now that is a wireless standard that was developed some time ago and
you're going to want something with wave 2 at the very least and something called
multi-user multi-input multi-output or mu me mo we can call it MU-MIMO or I
don't care what we call it anyways that is essentially the ability to maintain
multiple connections with multiple devices at the same time now wave 2 is
important because it's just the newer standard for 802 11 AC but that MU-MIMO
that is really really important as far as I'm concerned going forward in
your smart home and the reason I say that is it will maximize the efficiency
of essentially the wireless bandwidth that you have access to now I have a
couple of charts here from Cisco and they've done a great job illustrating
how what was called single user multi-input multi-output that
methodology how that is not as strong as the multi-user version of this and why
I'm recommending that this is on any router you
go and purchase now what they're describing essentially boils down to the
fact that you can be in certain situations governed by the slowest
device on your home network if you don't have multi-user multi-input multi-output
capabilities what it does essentially for you is ensure that every device is
connected at its speed but it doesn't limit your other devices waiting for
that slowest device because it can move on to other things and group items kind
of together in terms of how they're being utilized on your overall wireless
bandwidth so really what I'm saying when I say MU-MIMO what I'm ultimately
saying is that capability allows you to maintain more connections at a faster
pace the second thing you're going to need is at least a dual-band system so
you're going to want to make sure and this comes with almost every router
that's out there today a 2.4 gigahertz and a 5 or 5.8 gigahertz dual band
router now that ensures that you have the ability to connect on different
wireless networks to different devices and why is that so important well it
allows you to manage your traffic differently and put those higher
consumption devices like smart home cameras and Google Home hubs or devices like that
that are pulling lots of bandwidth or utilizing a lot of your bandwidth you
can put those on the 5 gigahertz signal which is capable of faster speeds I
don't believe at this point you're required to have a tri-band or a 3 band
router or mesh system at all what what happens with the Netgear Orbi is they do
have a three band system and we'll get in detail a little more about this in
the future but ultimately what they do with that third radio is they keep all
the internal traffic between the mesh system on that third band and that frees
up the rest of the system or the rest of the radios essentially to deal with your
outside network devices so it really helps them optimize
but it is not a requirement right now as far as I'm concerned what I'd like to
see for the third component of the specifications here is at least AC 1200
or better now that's actually describing the speed of your router and the maximum
throughput that it can attain now that will be split over the 2.4 gigahertz in
the 5 gigahertz and or what's called 802.11 n and 802 11 B/G all those older
standards and the AC standard so you will want to see at least 1200 now there
are routers we're going to talk about today that have upwards of 3,000 and
I've seen a 5300 Asus router and they mean it when they're talking about that
kind of overall throughput there are some additional things that I'd like to
see on your smart home router but these are not necessarily requirements and the
first example of this is something called 802.15.4 now this is another
internet protocol or sorry wireless protocol or wireless standard that
actually ZigBee is based on so if your router or your mesh system has the
capability of speaking 802.15.4 what I'll tell you right now and we're going
to talk about this in future videos is that you will be future-proof with a new
standard or protocol that is coming and I think has the opportunity to really
change the Internet of Things industry and so that capability being on your
router I think is really important but not something critical to you right now
the ability do create a mesh system in your home is something that I wouldn't
say is necessarily a requirement for everyone I mean lots of homes can get
away with just one single router and be good there but if you have a little bit
of a larger home or you're not sure the ability to create a mesh network in the
future is very important for you one of the best things I've seen coming on
routers these days and again not a requirement but some
that I think is a relatively good idea is a security option or a security
management option on board so what you will see on lots of routers now is
direct integration with McAfee or Trend Micro and the ability to essentially
enable services that manage whole home network security instead of just being
antivirus or and firewall protection on a PC or another device a couple more
things really quickly that I think are good things to have on your router the
ability to have direct connection to NAS storage or good connection to NAS
storage and so this is network storage that I think is going to become
more and more important as more camera manufacturers give us that local storage
option WyzeCam has figured this out even though lots of people think that
cloud is the future I think there's a big want on the market today for NAS
storage and the ability to put our smart home camera storage local and connected
directly to our router is very beneficial the other thing would be
integration with services like Google Home and Amazon Alexa those
integration points will become more and more useful over time McAfee is a great
example of a service that could be on your router and Inter integrated
essentially with Google Home and Amazon Alexa as well so now
that we've talked about what should be on your router or your router system
your your Wi-Fi system let's talk about some specific models that I think really
anyone can go purchase implement and be really successful with so there's
nothing on this list of four that I don't think you could buy and be really
unhappy with so number one Google Wi-Fi provides a system where you can go ahead
and purchase one and that will relatively give you about 1,500 square
feet in your home but if you need more you can continue to add mesh Wi-Fi
access points throughout your system and they sell in groups of
three and ultimately it comes in around three hundred dollars for a set of three
now in terms of speed the Google Wi-Fi is a little bit on the slower side they
don't have that multi-user multi-input multi-output that we've talked about
they are AC 1200 so they're lower on the overall throughput spectrum as well so
in terms of managing your smart home in the future while you will have three
access points some of that will be eaten up by that back-channel traffic that
basically heads from one Google Wi-Fi device to the next to the next and then
to the Internet you will eat up lots of bandwidth there but at $300 this is a
good relatively low budget solution for your whole smart home now another thing
about Google Wi-Fi is and I've spoken with Google support about this this
surprises me a little bit they don't have the 802.15.4 support they're on
hub versions of the product which is really a very similar product to Google
Wi-Fi they tend to be a little more expensive but essentially commissioned
out to other makers so Asus makes one of these and they have that 802.15.4
support onboard so some of those onhubs actually interest me just as much the
second set of devices here are from Netgear and they're the Orbi mesh Wi-Fi
system now in general when you go and you buy these they can range a little
bit in terms of price but right now on Amazon they are three hundred and
seventy dollars u.s. so they are a little more pricey but they do have an
increased set of specifications now normally for that three hundred and
seventy dollars you're getting two devices they are quite large and that's
one of the knocks against them but they are AC 3000 so that's quite a jump and
the other thing is they're that tribe and model so what that means is they're
using one of their radios for all of that back-channel communication thereby
leaving the other two radios and a lot of the through
put on these devices available to your other two radios and all of your other
different devices in your home this makes them the tested and this is tested
by many many different you know companies and and different individuals
they are the fastest out there now when you couple that with the multi-user
multi-input multi-output capability of these devices they are incredibly
powerful and I'm sure that no matter what you have in your home it's going to
be handled by the or B if you haven't already heard of ear oh well you're
about to because Amazon actually just purchased this company now what does
that mean well I think we're going to see some very interesting things from
Amazon in terms of how they go and integrate this product it's already
relatively integrated well they already have Amazon voice assistant integration
into the Eero system of devices now Eros big boast here is that essentially they
are multi-user multi-input multi-output they have tri-band on the Eero router or
the euro access point and they have beacons that you can place throughout
your home to get another thousand square feet the big knock on arrow is
ultimately that they are a little bit too expensive you know for twenty five
hundred square feet in your home you would need an arrow in a beacon and that
device that or that would then run you around 300 us overall they look great
they have 802 15.4 which we've talked about so they are capable of something
called thread and that's that new standard that we're going to be talking
about here on the channel as we go forward they're also capable of great
encryption and some VPN options and in general you'll find that with most of
the options here but this is really powerful stuff in a really small form
factor that looks great and is ever extensible or extendable rather in your
home now then let's talk about Asus and Asus is an interesting company
and actually one of our followers here Stephen ear
his is his name I hope I'm pronouncing his last name right but he's been
showing me some statistics from a five-year-old Asus router and he has an
immense amount of equipment on this five year old router that is still heralded
today as one of the fastest routers on the market now the 68 you and he has the
1900 version of this here that device is still on CNET it's still rated as number
one overall and it's a really old router now now what it doesn't have is that
multi-user multi-input multi-output capability but asus updates firmware and
capabilities all the time they put out new capabilities to their routers all
the time if you think about Asus in general as a company they have had the
top routers are been named the top router company every year for the last
six years this is something they boast on their website and truly when I look
back through my routers over the last 10 to 15 years lots of them have been Asus
router x' and this is true when I've moved and then had to go get something
new it's been an Asus router now what I'm going to talk about is called the
Asus AC 86 you and this is a AC 2900 router with multi-user multi-input
multi-output capability the interface on Asus router is excellent and this means
your management of these devices is both configurable and easy if you want it to
be I really enjoy that they've also added an app recently that makes that
gives you another option for management of your devices and you can also monitor
things one other really sneaky thing about Asus is the ability to mesh
network their routers now a lot of their routers that are out there right now
have something on them called a imesh and they essentially again keep a lot of
their routers updated and give them this capability so you could use lots of
routers that come from Asus in the last five to ten years as a mesh
secondary points so if you have an Asus router in your home check with Asus
check their compatibility list for AI mesh and see if you can update or
upgrade your existing router to become a secondary mesh point now obviously you
wouldn't have the really really fast speeds of say an 86 you here but you
would have the capability of having a mesh system in a relatively inexpensive
way because when I talk about the 86 you it's around two hundred and fifty
dollars us for that you can go up to three hundred and get a slightly faster
gaming third AC 3100 router and they have an even more expensive option as
well and those gaming routers give you access to some really interesting gaming
features because I'm kind of a geek in case you haven't noticed but anyways all
of the different features on these Asus routers in the end they lead me to be my
number one choice now again any of the four routers that I've talked about here
are router systems that I've talked about they're going to work in your
smart home and they're going to work for a long time you're not really going to
make a bad choice here so let's just go through a bit of a summary here the
arrows are great but I find them a little bit expensive for the coverage
that you're getting and you're probably going to need a lot of them you're
attached to Amazon so I worry a little bit about the data privacy on that side
of thing on the flip side they're a little bit faster than something like
Google Wi-Fi and Google Wi-Fi a little I feel a little bit better about my data
privacy with Google obviously they're going to use data they can get for
advertisements and things like that but in general they've handled my data in
the past with a lot of respect so I appreciate that the Google Wi-Fi knock
there is really the speed throughput and strangely enough the inability to have
802 dot 15.4 even though there are a large leader in that so I wonder if
someday those devices will just be updated to work with that net gears or
me system is massive fast but ultimately very expensive and I think their app and
their you know their management tools aren't as good as the other makers on
this list the final solution here to me is Asus and that AC 86 you I think is
the perfect level for a lot of people and then go aftermarket or utilize an
existing Asus router you have in your home to create a mesh you're not always
going to need the most powerful router as your secondary mesh router as long as
you have a decent router there I think you're going to be able to do just fine
in a smart home for the next five to ten years for sure if you enjoyed this
content this is the kind of thing I'm producing over on patreon for my patrons
now they're providing me a relatively small monthly fee and this goes a long
ways to helping me as a content creator but on top of that what they're getting
is detailed analysis and in-depth topics in terms of the smart home the Internet
of Things and things that I can't necessarily share over here on YouTube
because ultimately people on YouTube are disappearing from my content as I get
deeper and deeper into topics because sometimes it just alienates people when
I'm really detailed in terms of my descriptions so you know what head over
to patreon have a look that link is down below join us there and I can give you
really in-depth analysis of topics and they're already benefiting we've only
been running for a couple of months and they're already benefiting over there
from some of my insights into the industry so please join us over on
patreon as well as join us here on the channel so here come all the links

How Well Do You Know Caribbean Artists & The Culture? | Black To Life - Duration: 6:29.
Question number four, what super star is from Barbados,
y'all know this.
Is it Usher, Cardi-B, Rihanna or Oprah?
Rihanna.
What do you say?
Oprah.
It was Rihanna.
You see, un-uh, you're trying to make him lose his gift card.
Jessie Woo here with Black to Life only on BET.
Today we are in Washington Square Park.
See New York is a melting pot mostly
because there are a lot of Caribbeans here.
We got some Haitians, some Jamaicans, some Trinies,
but what do the streets of New York
really know about Caribbean culture?
Let's ask around and find out y'all.
Jessie Woo here, Black to Life only on BET.
I'm joined by the very good looking, what's your name?
Saul. I'm Arie.
Arie and ...
My name is Abraham. I'm Sophie.
My name's Molly.
I'm gonna be asking you guys some questions
based on Caribbean culture. You're in New York,
there's a lot of Caribbean culture all around you.
So I'm expecting y'all to know these answers.
Oh jeez. Oh Jesus.
If for any reason you don't know the answer to the questions,
you get three life lines so don't worry.
All right, number one
I'll take away one of the multiple choice options.
Number two, you can ask me for a hint.
Or number three, you can get a black friend on the phone
and we can give them the answer.
So you got some black friends you can call?
No. No black friends?
No. Do you.
Okay, we'll find you a black friend in the park.
I'm pretty sure. I see a lot of blacks in here.
I see them.
Now I see you got some black friends over ...
actually you got,
there's a tribe of black people over there
so they're gonna hold you down.
Question number one, when a Jamaican says waah gwann,
what are they asking? Are they asking what's up,
you hungry, where do you live or where are you going?
Definitely what's up.
Yes.
Where are you going.
What's up. Are you hungry.
No, what's up.
What's up. See, she was all un-uh, what's up.
I've been to Jamaica before, what's up, what's good.
All right, number two, what is a plantain?
Is it a vegetable, a leaf, a fruit or a bread?
Fruit.
Yes. It is a fruit.
A fruit?
A fruit, yes.
Fruit.
Vegetable. It was a fruit. He got it.
Oh wow. I eat plantains every day.
Come on now. You love plantains? I'm Haitian, we love ...
we call that bannann in Creole. Can you say bannann?
Bannann?
Bannann. Bannann.
You said it right. That's how you say it in Creole.
Bannann.
Question number three,
who is the biggest Reggae artist of all time?
Is it Wyclef Jean, Patra, Ziggy Marley or Bob Marley?
Bob Marley.
Bob Marley.
Bob Marley? Of course.
Bob Marley.
Bob Marley. Can you sing a Bob Marley song?
No. No. No.
You don't know a Bob Marley song?
Y'all know Redemption.
No, no, I don't.
Question number four, what super star is from Barbados,
y'all know this.
Is it Usher, Cardi B, Rihanna or Oprah?
Rihanna.
What do you say?
Oprah.
It was Rihanna. You see un-uh.
Oprah?
You're trying to make him lose his gift card.
Is it Usher, Cardi B, Rihanna-
Rihanna.
Okay see, he didn't even let, see,
okay, I didn't even get to the question.
But you already know.
I think Rihanna.
Rihanna. Okay.
Did you look at my answers before I asked you
these questions? Girl.
The last question.
Okay.
In Creole, when a Haitian says sak pase, what does that mean?
Does it mean go home, what's up, oh hell no, or what's wrong?
What's wrong.
Go home. Go home.
It's what's up.
Oh hell no.
It's what's up.
Oh.
Can I phone in a black friend?
You can phone in a black friend. Can we have one come in here?
Come on now.
Come hold him down sister, come hold him down sister.
What does sak pase in Creole mean?
What's up.
What's up.
Jessie Woo here, Black to Life on BET.
We are in Washington Square Park and I'm joined by the very cute
but very lovely, what's your name?
Introduce yourself to the people.
Joy. Joy, where you from?
Philly.
Philly? Okay, Philly in the house.
All right so, I'm gonna ask you a series of questions
based on the Caribbean.
Okay.
All right? Now you black now.
Usually I be giving people, I'll be giving them ...
the life line but you black.
So you got to know the answers to these questions.
I'm not Caribbean though.
No but you're still, you're still black, we all ...
listen, we're all from Wakanda.
So we all good. All right?
So, question number one, when a Jamaican says waah gwann,
what are they asking you? Is it what's up, you hungry,
where do you live or where are you going?
What's up?
Of course. Waah gwann. You been to Jamaica before?
Okay well you answered that like you've been there before.
Nope. All right.
Question number two, what is plantain?
Is it a vegetable, a leaf, a fruit or a piece of bread?
A fruit.
A fruit.
See you got that and I didn't even get that and I'm Haitian.
That's a shame that I didn't even know bannann was a fruit.
Plantain, yes.
I didn't even know bannann was a fruit, sorry
to all my ancestors down there, 1804 was good.
All right, question number three,
who is the biggest Reggae artist of all time?
Is it Wyclef Jean, Patra, Ziggy Marley or Bob Marley?
Biggest Reggae of all time?
Of course.
Bob Marley.
Of course. Now you know a Bob Marley song?
Don't worry, about a thing-
Hey, hey.
'Cause every little thing, is gonna be all right.
'Cause every little thing, is gonna be all right.
You got it ...listen,
don't make me give y'all a little concert over here.
Two more questions, what super star is from Barbados?
Is it Usher, Cardi B, Rihanna or Oprah?
Oh Rihanna.
Come on now somebody.
All right, last question, in Creole what do Haitian's mean
when they say sak pase?
Is it go home, what's up, oh hell no, or what's wrong?
What's wrong?
What's up. You almost had it.
But you know what, you did so good,
I'm gonna give you a $25 gift card.
What you gonna do with your gift card girl?
I'll go shopping.
Yes. We like to shop and I'm gonna go with you.
Y'all stay tuned for more Black to Life on BET, Jessie Woo.
Bye, we're gonna go shop. Bye y'all.

Collage with Me! Hypercollage February Journaling Layout - Duration: 12:27.
Hello! Hello! It's me, Jannette! How are you? Hope you have been well! Hope your week
is fantastic! It's almost towards the end of the week-- cannot wait for the weekend!
In today's video I'm doing journal entry number 3 of my February
Journal and this one is interesting because it started out as you know me
wanting to do like a little collage cluster on the right page and then a
little collage cluster on the left page maybe a little bit of stamping and then
what happened I messed up on my stamping and then I wanted to cover where I
messed up or where I thought I just didn't look good I went a little bit
overboard on my stamping I think and then next thing you know it turned into
a hyper-collage so this is probably one of my favorite things to do is to just
glue bits of paper on to a layout like on to a journaling page and then to go
like really crazy with it that's seriously my nut zone I said this in the
last and what the videos previously but it's just like my Zen ,my like my happy
place I guess you could say it's just amazing to be carried away by trying to
not so much this like little collage cluster here although I really enjoy
that but to just really go crazy which collaging that's that's my jam
that's where I'm the happiest like love it I'm on cloud nine a lot of these
little bits and scraps and tags and ephemera that I have are from leftovers
from projects you might recognize some of these in from my previous pocket
letter layouts that I've posted or also they're just scraps that I have in my
stash and I absolutely love to use up all of my scraps like if I I don't know
I try to do the best that I can to use up my scraps
so I'm gluing everything down and I'm using different adhesives I'm using my
cosmic shimmer dries clear liquid adhesive but I'm also using a regular
glue stick and my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher although that is not an
adhesive but I really love the tiny staples and just stapling things and so
easy to like staple things into your planners or into your journaling layouts
with this little itty bitty stapler well the stapler is not anybody but the
staples that come out of it or tiny teeny tiny and so cute next I'm adding
these beautiful stickers they're clear stickers with is gorgeous sentiment and
I believe these are from the happy planner brand so I will try to look for
these and link them below they're just absolutely stunning I love the like
watercolor kind of them watercolor wash kind of brush vibe that it's got going
on I know makes me really happy and I had to actually move this little cluster
out of the way and just shift it down a little bit just so that that sentiment
would fit and it worked out my page tore a little bit but nothing that you that
couldn't be hidden
so now comes the stamping where I went a little bit overboard with the stamping
and this is the beginning of it so these alpha stickers I can't remember where I
got them from if they look familiar to you
let me know so I can find them and link them below in case anybody else is
interested they are super cute and I have not used these as much as I had
originally planned I remember when I first saw the stamp set I'm like I need
to have it I'm gonna use it in everything that I own and stamp my face
with it but I ended up only using it maybe like five times and I've had it
for three years why does that happen why are we like that if you have a moment to
leave a comment I would love to know when was like the last thing the last
time and the last thing that you couldn't wait to have and then you
bought it but then you didn't use it was it like a stamping platform was it a
stamp set and like what is that one thing that you're like oh my gosh I
can't wait to buy it then you bought it and then you haven't used it I would
love to read some of those them things that you have purchased and not used
it's I'm sure it's common to a lot of us to crafters especially now the rest of
the stamps that I'm using are from the vintage collage stamp set that's
included in the latest issue of creative stamping which I will have linked for
you below but yeah it's just one of those stamp sets that has a lot of
little stamps and you're like oh I can use that in any way really fun stamp set
and I ended up going a little bit overboard with it I don't know you know
you just start stamping you're like oh I can stamp over here and stamp over here
and then it just becomes a disaster so this is where I decided to cover up my
stamp my stamp fail with a little scrappy piece of hot pink cardstock and
then from there I was like this looks a little crowded now so I
might as well just go for it and go crazy so that was it was it was a stamps
fault next I pulled out some stickers and
ephemera and die-cuts from the planners society that I had been hoarding they
have a few actually quite a bit of these that I'm hoarding from my days when I
was on the first planner society design team which is really cool that seems
like a really long time ago so anyway there's these little like
beautiful itty-bitty stickers and things that just fit perfectly like oh no and
all these little like gaps and spaces so I was just having a ball just going
through my old planner Society things and just picking out stickers and little
cute little things and adding them to my layout I think the thing that is the
most satisfying about doing a hyper collage like this where you attempt to
cover every single piece of white space on your layout the greatest thing about
it at least for me is that set the satisfaction that comes from finding a
spot for like a specific specific die-cut or a specific sticker that just
works and sometimes it takes a little bit longer to find that perfect spot and
sometimes it's pretty instantaneous and I'm feeling good about it and I'll glue
it down right away but other times it's a little bit more of a challenge and I
don't know there's just something really peaceful about that process I don't know
why I cannot explain it
I often wonder if there's a deeper life lesson here or maybe a metaphor that can
be applied to life about like collaging because there's just something about it
I cannot explain it I'm gonna stop talking about it now because you're
gonna start to think that I'm crazy crazy for loving collaging
I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you so much for listening to all
of my ramblings and for watching my videos and for subscribing and for the
likes and for the comments and your kind words you guys are so amazing I'm so
happy to have you along on my creative journey and I really honestly feel like
we're friends and that's why I tend to ask lots of questions during the videos
because I like to get to know you guys a little bit better so yes thank you so so
much from the bottom of my heart love you guys so much
also if you have any questions at all like any time not just on this video but
if I use like a certain supply or I don't mention where certain like die cut
is rum or a die set or if you see something on this layout that you're
like oh that sticker is really cute then yeah you can leave a comment and I will
do my best to find find the answer for you and also if you ever have any video
requests I would love to hear from you and let me know what those are
I'll start working on like creating a list compiling a list of those video
requests and then I can get to those someday eventually soon
now I'm getting closer to the end of the video and there's still a lot of white
space even when I'm finally done there's still a lot of spaces open for me to add
even more to this layout which I would love and actually might do that after
I'm done - with this voice over
so I'm just gluing down some final bits so that I'm gonna add little heart
stickers and I will be done with my hyper collage
layout I hope that you enjoyed it this tutorial and I hope that you were
inspired to try collaging and to try this kind of journaling layout it's very
therapeutic and if you've ever tried hyper collage room before I would love
to know to what your experience is what your experience was with it whether you
enjoyed it or maybe it's not for you yeah thank you again for watching and if
you would like to see more of my crafty projects and please feel free to
subscribe to my channel would love to have you and also you can follow me on
instagram which is jeannette lane blog thank you again
so so much for watching and listening to my ramblings and I'll see you in the
video real soon bye

Virtual Functions and Polymorphism in C++ - C++ Programming - Computer Science Class 12 - Duration: 8:55.
click the Bell icon to get latest videos
from Ekeeda, Hello Friends in this video
we will study what is virtual function
and Polymorphism Polymorphism is an
ability to take more than one form it
means suppose if I am talking about the
plus operator then plus operator can be
used as an addition operator also and it
can be used as concatenation operator
also so when I use my plus operator in
the case of numbers I called it as
addition operator whereas when I use my
plus operator with the help of string
then I called it as Concatenation
Operator so it means my plus operator
has more than one form so in this video
we will discuss how actually the
polymorphism is implemented with the
help of programs. polymorphism comes
under a two type that is there are two
types of polymorphism number one is
called as compile time polymorphism and
the two is called as run time
polymorphism in the compiled name
polymorphism there are two types
function overloading and operator
overloading what is function overloading
that we have already studied when we use
a function more than once in a program
with the same name but with the
different number of parameters so
basically my function name will remain
the same but your signature will be a
different at every place then I called
it as function overloading because it in
this case your compiler invokes the
current function by matching the
parameters or by matching the types of
parameter you are using then I called it
as function overloading and this
information is known to the compiler at
the compile time at the compile time
compiler decides which function to
invoke hence it is called as compile
time polymorphism then there is one more
type of overloading that is operator
overloading operator overloading when I
use my operators with the user-defined
data type in this same way I used with
the built-in data type then I call it as
operator overloading this concept also
we have already discussed in the
previous video so these two types comes
under the category of compile time
polymorphism now what is runtime
polymorphism there
comes a situation where your function
name and parameters both are same then I
called it as Tran time polymorphism
because in this case compiler get
confused which function to call because
your function name and parameter I mean
your function name and signature
everything will be same at the every
place so to so to implement this concept
I use a feature called as virtual
function so let us have a look on to a
virtual function now see this example in
this case I have created a two class
that is Class A and Class B if you see
here Class A has a function whose name
is void Show and Class B again has a
function whose name is void show now in
both the cases the prototype is same and
the function name is also same so in
this case your compiler will get
confused and by default it will keep on
calling your function which is there
inside the base class but I don't want
this I want the functions which is there
in the derived class also to get called
so for this I will use a concept called
as virtual function now to study a
virtual function I have an example we
will say that example and then we will
understand how to use a virtual function
in this example I have created a class
base in this class base I have created
two functions that is void display at
void show as of now you just forget
about what is virtual you concentrate or
only this two function that is why
display and void show in the void
displayer displaying display base and in
the void show you are displaying show
based then I created one more class that
is class derived and this class derive
is a clear derived class of your class
based in this again there are two
functions display and show in this here
displaying display derive and in this
year displaying show derive now in this
case my prototype of this plane show is
same in your class base also in your
class derive also now in this case by
default only the functions which are
they are in the base class that will get
called it means you won't get answer of
the function which are there in the
derived class so to get the answer of
those functions also what I will do I
will create objects of both the classes
that is Class B and Class D and then you
will create a pointer to a base class so
basically what I do
here I created object B then I created
object D and then I created a pointer
and this pointer is a pointer to class
base now when your pointer base is
pointing to a base class it means what
you are calling the functions which are
there in the base class and when your
pointer is pointing to a derived class
then it means what you are calling to a
functions which are there in the derived
class but by default you will get an
answer of only a base class so to get
the answer of derived class what I will
do I will use a keyword called as
virtual in place of base class I mean
wherever there are the functions whose
name is same as a function in the
derived class I will make those function
as a virtual function in the base class
so why not make them as a virtual what
will happen when my base pointer is
pointing to a base you will get an
answer of the base class and when your
base pointing point is pointing to a
derive you will get answer of derived
class so that is the use of virtual
function if you don't make it as virtual
then by default you will keep on getting
the answer of base class so hence it is
necessary to use the virtual keyword
whenever I want the answer of base class
also and I need the answer of derived
class so this is the example of what
virtual function what we have studied
here there are two types of polymorphism
compiled and polymorphism and runtime
polymorphism now this question is very
important as per your example because
this question comes either for for max
or for 3 max if it comes for for max
then explanation along with the program
is needed if it comes for 3 marks then
explanation along with the example is
needed that is you have to show what is
compile time polymorphism and what is
runtime polymorphism both now there are
some rules for the virtual function
number one
our children must be a member of some
class that is if you are using a virtual
function then obviously it should be a
member of some class they cannot be a
static member your virtual function
cannot be a static member number three
they are accessed by using object
pointer so if you will remember in the
example what I did I created a pointer
to a base class without creating a
pointer you cannot access your virtual
function so that's why it is necessary
to create a pointer of a base class next
a virtual function can be a friend of
another class yes you can create a
virtual function and that virtual
function can be a friend of some other
class a virtual function in base class
must be defined even though it is not
used it means what so in the previous
example I had taken two functions that
is display and so even though you are
not making the use of display and show
you have to make it as virtual by to
make it as virtual to get the answer of
the right class if you will make it as
virtual you won't be getting a sort of
derived class so that's why it is
necessary to make it as virtual even
though if it no if it is not in the use
the prototype of the base class version
and the derived class version should be
same obviously if the prototype is
different then I won't consider it as a
runtime polymorphism then it will go
inside the category of what function
overloading so that's why your prototype
should be same in the case of base class
and in the derived class next is we
cannot have a virtual constructor but
yes we can have a virtual destructor
next a base pointer can point to any
type of derive object but reverse is not
to your base class can point to any type
of derive object but the reverse is not
true it means you cannot create a
pointer to a derived class and that
pointer cannot point to any base class
so it means while creating a pointer you
have to be very sure that you are
creating the pointer of only base class
when base pointer points to a derived
class incrementation and decrement ation
is only relative to its base type actual
function defined in the base class need
not be redefined in the derived class so
it means what the functions which are
there in the derived class we don't make
it make them as a virtual only the
functions of the base class are treated
as a virtual function so this was all
about the virtual function and the
runtime polymorphism thanks for watching

Inheritance and Its Types in C++ (Single Inheritance) - C++ Programming - Computer Science Class 12 - Duration: 12:18.
click the Bell icon to get latest videos
from Ekeeda Hello Friends in this video
we will study a new topic called as
Inheritance as we have already studied
Inheritance is an important feature of
object-oriented programming now let us
study how to implement the Inheritance
and how to write a program using
Inheritance inheritance stands for
derivation it means what the mechanism
of creating the new class from already
existing class is called as Inheritance
now let us take an example suppose if I
have already written a program in which
I am performing incrementation operator
it means suppose if Im incrementing the
value of variable by one after some time
suppose if I realized you know I want to
decrement the value of variable by one
also then in that case I have two
options either I will write a new
program or I will modify the existing
program now when I write a new program
the writing a new program will be very
time consuming and modifying the
existing program means what again we
have to recompile the program again we
have to find out the errors and so on so
what I will do I will find out the
intermediate way in between this so I
won't write a new program or I will not
modify the existing program instead I
will create a program which is a child
program of my previous program now since
we are using the classes in terms of
object-oriented programming
let us not use a term called s program
so I will use a term called s class so
it means suppose if I have already
written a class which is performing
incrementation operator and now if I am
in need of a class which will perform a
decrement ation operator then I will
perform work I will create a class with
and that class will be a child of my
existing class then this entire thing in
this entire scenario is called as what
inheritance in the advantage of using
inheritance is what when you create a
child class of parent class
your child class can inherit all the
features of your parent class your child
class can use all the variables which
are there in the parent class so this is
the main use of what inheritance for an
example suppose class increment is
incrementing the value of variable by
one then I will create one more class
class decrement which will decrement the
value of variable by one so in that case
I won't declare any new variable in
clastic remain I will be using the
existing variables which are already
there in what class increment so this
concept is called as what inheritance
now when it comes to inheritance there
are various types of inheritance single
inheritance multiple inheritance
multi-level inheritance hierarchical
inheritance and hybrid inheritance now
we will study each and every inheritance
in detail with the help of some example
but as of now first we will summarize
our definition of inheritance
inheritance is a mechanism of creating
the new class based on what my old class
when I create a new class I called it as
derived class whereas my old class is
called as base class or you can call it
as what parent class and my new class I
can call it as what child class so
inheritance allows us to implement the
concept of whatever usability I will be
already having my old class and my new
class will inherit all the features of
what my old class so now see let us see
the definition of what each and every
type of inheritance number one is called
as single inheritance a derived class
with a single base class then I called
it as single inheritance for an example
see here I is my base class and B is my
derived class so derived class with only
one base class is called as what single
inheritance quality well it he returns a
derived class with several base classes
is called as multiple inheritance in the
multiple inheritance you will be having
more than one base class and only
derived class so this is the diagram of
what multiple inheritance here I have
multiple base classes whereas only
single derived class then the next is
called as hierarchical inheritance
hierarchical inheritance is just
opposite of multiple inheritance in the
hierarchical inheritance there will only
be one base class and multiple derived
classes so it means what a base class
with several derived classes is called
as hierarchical inheritance multi-level
inheritance now in the multi-level
inheritance we create a derived class
and that derived class is created from
already existing derived class I will be
calling it as multi-level inheritance
for an example say this diagram in this
diagram this is my base class this is my
derived class so I will create a new
derived class based on my existing
derived class then I will call it as
what multi-level inheritance now
multi-level inheritance you can relate
this inheritance with the help of what
father grandfather and child
relationship so I can call it as base
classes my grandfather where as this
intermediate derived class is my father
and the new derived class is called as
child so this is called as multi-level
inheritance then the last is called as
hybrid inheritance in the hybrid
inheritance it involves more than one
inheritances into it so whenever in the
program if you have more than one
inheritances into it then i called it as
hybrid inheritance so let us summarize
the things again so let us summarize the
things again mechanism of creating the
new class from already existing class is
called as inheritance in the inheritance
my old class is called as base class
whereas my new class is called as
derived class then we studied various
types of inheritance --is that is single
inheritance multiple inheritance
multi-level inheritance hierarchical
inheritance and hybrid inheritance that
is syntax of inheritance now let us jump
on to the next topic that is syntax of
inheritance now see this is the syntax
of inheritance first
I use a keyword called as class
then I write a derived class name then :
disability mode and my base class name
this is class now say this is an example
of single inheritance now we have
already studied single inheritance means
what there will be only one base class
and one derived class in this class I
have created a class called as index and
in the protected but I have declared a
variable called as count then I have two
constructor over here in the first
constructor is called as 0 argument
constructor the kafirs constructor is
called as 0 argument constructor where I
have initialized the value of variable
count as 0 then the next constructor is
called as 1 argument constructor where I
have initialized the value of count is
equal to C then I am displaying the
value of count and then I have created
one more function whose name is operator
plus plus now see if you will see this
function you will understand operator
plus plus means what here I am
overloading my plus plus operator so
count plus plus means what here counter
value will get incremented by 1 then now
see this is very important thing here I
have created a derived class whose name
is index 1 now this derived class is a
children of my class index so follow let
us follow the syntax of derived class
first I write class is a keyword then my
derived class name which is index 1 then
colon
then my visibility more visibility mode
is a public and then my base class name
which is it makes now in the index 1
what I am doing Vikram ending my
operator
I am decrementing my variable K value by
1 so public void operator minus - oh
yeah Here I am overloading my - -
operator count - - so it will decrement
the value of count by 1 then this is my
main function now if one more thing in
the main function when we create a
object here object you will create an
object of OT a derived class not a base
class so here my derived class is index
1 and I is an object of what we write
class
I plus blessed so it means what I'm
calling operator plus plus function so
it means it will increment the value of
your count by one and so when I write I
dot displayed it will call a function
display so it means what it will print
the value of count then again I am
invoking operator minus minus function
so that's why I minus minus so your
operator minus minus function will get
called and I dot display means what we
are called cabal you will get
decremented by 1 so this is how I write
a program of single inheritance I
created a class whose name is index then
I declared some variable and then in the
public section I have created two
constructor the first constructor is a 0
argument constructor whereas the second
constructor is a 1 argument constructor
now one more thing here I would like to
discuss that is use of protected keyword
now see in the previous examples we have
seen a private keyword now what is the
mean of private and what is the mean of
public that we have already studied
private means what the whatever we write
inside the private keyword those members
will be a strictly a member of only
class so it means the members or the
functions who are not a part of class
they cannot access those variable but
when I write protected it means what now
see here I am creating what inheritance
or inheritance made I will be creating a
derived class and that derived class
will be a children of your parent class
so obviously yet derived class will
inherit all the features of your parent
class so it means you need protected
access protected access means what when
I give a protected access the variables
are the members which are there in the
protected those members are accessible
to the derived class but they are not
accessible to any other class or any
other function so when I write a private
the visibility vote is restricted only
within the class but when I write a
protected the visibility mode is not
restricted only within a class but it
will allow you it will allow the access
to the derived class also but no other
class other than a derived class can use
those members which are
in a protected keyword so that is
basically use of what protected keyword
then in the public section whatever you
that we have already discussed we have
to created two constructor zero argument
constructor and one argument constructor
and then I created a derived class whose
name is index 1 and that derived class
is a children of what your class index
tao-tsay
point to be noted here that is I haven't
declared a count variable again in the
derived class it means what my variable
was already declared inside the base
class so derived class can directly
access the variable which is there in
the base class that is the use of what
inheritance inheritance allows the
derived class to access all the members
are all the features of base class
thanks for watching this video
in the next video we will study the next
type of inheritance that is multiple and
multi-level inheritance --is for the

Chelsea fans react to Ashley Cole's goal for Derby County - Duration: 2:28.
He might have won the competition seven times, but remarkably former Arsenal and Chelsea full-back Ashley Cole had never scored in the FA Cup - until today
Cole scored his first goal since returning to English football today (Saturday), netting with a header for Derby County nine minutes from time in the FA Cup fifth round clash at Brighton & Hove Albion, which the Rams lost 2-1
It was Cole's first goal in the FA Cup at the age of 38, on his 49th appearance in the competition, having previously featured for Arsenal and Chelsea in the competition, winning the cup three times with the Gunners and four times with Chelsea
And it was not just his goal that got people talking, with former Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas full of praise for the former England full-back's performance after coming on as a second half substitute at the Amex Stadium
Jenas: "He took more risks and he gets his goal by taking a bit of a risk. "He gave them hope, it was much better from Derby in the second half
" And his goal has got Chelsea fans talking this afternoon (Saturday), with the Blues supporters reminiscing about the 38-year-old's time at Stamford Bridge, while others have even suggested that he could still do a job in west London, with Maurizio Sarri's men currently struggling for form
Chelsea fans were not the only ones to react to his goal, with one Crystal Palace fan pleased to see the former Eagles' loanee net against their arch-rivals, as can be seen below
