So, Today! tadaa I've made a creamy bacon and broccoli pasta ~omg so heavy!~
~I always say that in every vid~ I know I've made plenty of pastas in the past but this is different
its made by first soaking the dry pasta noodles in water I knew that this recipe existed long before but this is my
first time ever giving it a try. I just.... had a few issues with calculating the amounts of ingredients
the base recipe was geared for 2 servings and what I ended up making was 12 servings here
I had a few tiny problems with the recipe but.... LET'S SEE HOW IT WAS MADE!!
first rinse the dry pasta and then let it soak in some water
cut the broccoli into easy to eat pieces and do the same with the bacon
lightly heat up the bacon and broccoli
then olive oil... cream water and salt and pepper
then put the stuff we cooked earlier into the pan I've made them separately but you can alternatively just fry the
first ingredients then add the cream and what not to the same pan right afterwards
once you can bend the pasta like this its ready to be put into the pot
make sure to submerge the pasta and then lid the pot
yeah.. so since I'm using so much pasta here the noodles are sticking out on top of the liquid
so please do your best to submerge the noodles I feel like you can break the pasta if it doesn't fit that well
once it comes to a simmer mix 2-3 times so that it doesn't stick let simmer for about 2 minutes after it comes to a boil
but please keep an eye on how well the pasta and veg are cooking to determine done-ness
remove the lid and lets sit for 2-3 minutes once the sauce thickens and the pasta softens transfer to a bowl
it should look sort of like this tadaa its finally done
well.... it does look pretty tasty jeez... I had a tough time figuring out how much
liquid was needed here and how thick the sauce needed to be I had to roughly guess on my own
lets see how much it weighs
without the bowl its 4.2kg with 1kg of soup it totals 5.2kg
itadakimasu waaa it looks so delish
the noodles are chewier than when you make it the usual way its really delish
the cream is just the right amount of salty making it taste so delish
today's veg of the day is broccoli Y'all gotta eat your veggies from time to time...
you gotta eat your veggies or YOU GOONA DIE
its soft and delish
I've even got some bacon
creamy pasta is so easily made from cream
pasta takes forever to cool off.. its still piping hot... do I have too much in here I wonder?
ahh its gettin' hot in here I haven't turned on the heater today
when you eat a lot of hot foods that warm you right up you don't have to heat your home... its great for the environment :)
well there goes being environmental... I'm uhh going to turn on the A/C
lol I just pulled a 360 on saving the environment ~apologies~
the broccoli is so sweet and delish
the dish has finally gotten to just the right temperature but... I gotta eat quickly or else the pasta will get soggy
did I make too much today? well I should be able to finish this easily but
I gotta rush in order to eat it before it gets all soggy
and now its time for my Favourite!!!
tadaa Parmesan Cheese!!

since its flavored rather simply with just broccoli bacon and salt adding cheese like this really makes it taste so much better

the creamy broccoli and bacon cream pasta was so delish
the method of pre soaking the pasta really gave the noodles a nice chewy texture
and since I was working with such huge portions it was kind of tough tuning the recipe to these amounts
the amount of water that should have evaporated and what not did not match what was written in the recipe
well.. if you're only making 2 portions things should turn out alright for you guys
well. despite all that it was easy to make
