(The hot place for designs)

(Korea's landmark DDP)

(Dongdaemun Design Plaza, Jung-gu, Seoul)

(98th class at the foreigner school)

This is My Neighbor, Charles

where we meet foreigners living in Korea.

- Hello. / - Hello.

In three days' time, it will be Seollal.

Will you have rice cake soup and grow a year older?

I feel lonely because I don't have family here.

Do you also bow to your elders on this day in Japan?

No, we don't.

The only time this would happen is

if my father cheated on my mother.

That's the only time you would bow down.

- To beg for forgiveness? / - Yes.

When I first came to Korea, I was shocked.

Normally, the areas would be bustling with people,

but it was completely empty.

There was no one on the streets.

The next day, when you drive on the highway,

it's completely packed with cars.

I think the people here are amazing.

Our guest today

has only been married for three months.

She's only been married for three months,

and this is her first Seollal.

She must be feeling very excited.

- Let's invite her in. / - Okay.

- Please come in. / - Please come in.

(Welcome)

She's so pretty.

It's really cold today.

She looks like a person from an Arab descent.

Hello, I'm from Morocco.

My name is Khaoula.

You are so pretty. You are like a doll.

I'm Khaoula's husband. My name is Lee Sangjin.

- Hello. / - Yes, it's nice to meet you.

How did the two of you meet?

My friend had married a Moroccan woman first,

and the bride's friend was Khaoula.

I had actually asked her to introduce me to Khaoula.

What was your first impression of Sangjin?

I don't think you would've had the opportunity

to meet Korean men.

I felt so special.

He was so different to all the other men I had met.

He was so understanding and caring.

When I was sick, he worried about me.

He didn't even sleep.

So, these are the things that I really love about him.

When you told your family that

you were getting married to a Korean man

didn't your family oppose the marriage?

On the day I was flying to Morocco,

a problem occurred.

I had missed a flight and I arrived late.

- You arrived late. / - Yes, I arrived the next day.

My father-in-law had waited for me at the airport

the whole night.

Khaoula's father was waiting for you?

He claimed that I would not come.

I trusted my husband, so I knew he was coming.

But my father doesn't really know him.

But when he arrived at Morocco, they really loved him.

They really loved him.

He was so kind and so quiet.

They said he is better than Moroccan men.

I'm a physical therapist by trade.

When mother-in-law has body aches,

I'd give her a massage.

I'd help my father-in-law with work.

Excuse me, I'm having some digestive problems,

could you help me out?

They just got married 3 months ago

and are still lovey-dovey with each other.

That's so nice.

Let's take a look at the life of...

What kind of problem do you even have?

Let's just not watch this.

They are just lovey-dovey.

I'm curious. I want to watch it.

(My Neighbor, Charles)

(Kind self-introduction)

Hello.

My name is Khaoula and I'm from Morocco.

- Honey! / - Yes?

Mom-in-law!

I'm your mother-in-law, not your mom-in-law.

- Mother-in-law. / - Okay.

It feels like we'll see a lovey-dovey newlywed life.

(I'm a newlywed bride living in Busan)

(The newlyweds' house, Nam-gu, Busan)

(The newlywed wife is preparing breakfast)

Khaoula prepares breakfast for her husband,

who has to go to work.

Although it's not Korean food, she makes sure

her husband goes to work on a full stomach.

This is breakfast.

I have prepared his breakfast.

Moroccans eat food like this for breakfast.

It's not Korean food.

I see. It's a Moroccan-style breakfast.

Thank you for the food.

Enjoy the food.

Okay, honey?

(Munching)

The husband doesn't seem to like the food.

I actually want bean past soup.

Goodness, you are so thoughtless.

You might not get breakfast next time.

They are still newlyweds.

They instantly become lovey-dovey again.

She takes a good care of her husband.

It must be really sad to part every morning.

Let's go. It's cold.

I love you.

Good-bye.

However, that wasn't the end.

Honey!

Good night.

(Good-bye)

Good-bye.

Honey!

I'll see you tonight, okay?

I love you.

He might really be late for work.

The husband must feel happy and energetic

thanks to her sweet send-off.

(The husband's workplace)

(I'm a physical therapist)

Sangjin is a physical therapist.

Please lower your arm now.

Make sure your arm doesn't get dislocated.

(He pays close attention to each and every patient)

- I'm now working. / - Okay.

Bye.

I love you.

Good-bye.

Khaoula has 4 siblings and she's the lovable third child.

Her friend who got married to a Korean man,

introduced her to Sangjin and they fell in love.

They couldn't see each other often

because of the great distance.

So they decided to get married to be together.

The two got married in Morocco last October.

They had never been to each other's country before.

With the love and trust they had for one another,

they started their life together.

(Khaoula came to Korea, trusting only in her love)

She was the only light and everything else was dark.

I could only see her as she walked towards me.

I love my husband because I trust him and I love him.

And I really can't see my life or my future without him

or with someone else.

She's been living in Korea for three months now.

After her husband leaves,

I wonder how she spends the day.

Am I pretty?

(Of course)

How do I look?

The first thing she does after putting on her makeup

is the dishes.

Her husband tells her to just rest,

but there's no way she'd stay still.

My hanbok is here.

Ta-da!

Why does she need a hanbok?

As soon as she came to Korea,

She began to spread Korean culture.

She is a missionary of Korean culture.

From eating spicy Korean food...

She also tries food from delicious restaurants.

She's introducing Korean culture to

people around the world as a foreigner herself.

When we were still newlyweds,

I wasn't good at cooking Korean food.

My mother-in-law would cook.

She'd check what's in the fridge.

She thought it was messy,

so she told me to tidy it up.

After listening to them, she starts to understand.

(Be more gentle with her)

Is there something that you can't understand?

The memorial service.

I respect everything about Korean culture.

But I don't know why they have do memorials.

It's like a ceremony for people who are dead.

When you learn Korean,

you'll start to understand about the memorials.

It's connected to the language and culture.

It's showing consideration and respect to

those who have passed away.

Also, a lot of Koreans feel that this is very important.

She was trying to adjust to the culture

and had a hard time understanding it.

She can now afford to learn about new things.

(Let's try our best!)

(I'll learn)

- This is chives. / - Chives.

- Chives. / - Chives.

It's the memorial day in which

you can learn about a family's tradition.

The daughter-in-law has to learn a lot.

If you make it into a pancake, it will taste good.

(The daughter-in-law learns one by one)

You have to put your heart into the food

for the memorial. Even if you don't cook a lot,

making it yourself is important.

- I understand. / - I understand.

For the grandfather's memorial,

even the sister-in-law came from far away.

She lives far away, so it's hard to see her.

But thanks to the memorial, they got to see each other.

Khaoula, you would refer to me as sister-in-law.

I'd call you sister-in-law as well.

You're my sister-in-law.

Okay, sister-in-law.

- Okay? / - Yes.

Okay.

I love you.

The food has been prepared with love.

Her husband has come back after work.

- I missed you. / - I missed you, too.

How long have you been cooking for?

- What? / - How long have you been cooking for?

Why?

Oh, my.

You should have come from the morning.

(In front of everyone)

This couple has no regard for others.

No.

Maybe that's why there's the old saying,

"There's no point in raising a son."

- She only worked for a short time. / - That's not true.

- You only worked for a short time. / - That's not true.

- I'm okay, honey. / - Stop it.

- They look happy. / - Don't be so nice to her.

Don't be so nice to her from the start.

Okay?

(Caressing)

Mom, you always look so tired.

- What did she say? / - She said you look tired.

I feel exhausted right now.

It's the memorial for her grandfather-in-law

that she's never met.

She may not understand the importance

and tradition of the memorial.

She listens and watches attentively.

I love that she is trying hard.

I nag her a lot.

She probably feels frustrated as well. It's not just me.

I do feel bad for her.

(It's the first memorial with a new family member)

The grandson who grew up receiving

his grandfather's love, has something he'd like to

say to his grandfather.

Father-in-law, we have a daughter-in-law

that we'd like to introduce you to.

She may look different from Koreans,

but she would like to pour you a drink.

Grandfather-in-law, hello.

Khaoula greets her grandfather-in-law for the first time

as the daughter-in-law of the Lee family.

It's something she has never experienced before.

She is ready to accept it by heart now.

As a daughter-in-law and wife,

she is trying to do her best.

We'll be cheering for you to continue to be

energetic and to overcome all the crises.

(My Neighbor, Charles)

We have also invited here the mother-in-law

who is very strict with her training.

- Welcome, ma'am. / - Welcome.

- Hello. / - Welcome.

When we look at your smiling face now,

we can't believe that you're the same strict person.

He is in love with her, so he's been blinded by love.

He wants to do everything even after he comes home.

If I don't teach her now,

it's going to be hard for him later on.

Right now, I'm trying to become

the strict and spiteful mother-in-law.

That's a smart strategy.

At the start, were you okay with this marriage?

"Mom, I'm going to marry my Moroccan girlfriend."

"What? Moroccan?"

"What did you say? Moroccan?"

- "Where is that?" / - Exactly.

I think that's how most people would have reacted.

"If the two of you love each other, that's fine."

I did say that.

Even though I said that,

I felt like I had a hole in my heart.

It felt like my heart was going to freeze.

They also had the wedding in Morocco.

Didn't you feel a little upset over that?

At the start,

he had said that he was just bringing her back.

He didn't tell me that he was having

the wedding over there.

Then, one day, he sent a photo

of them holding hands together

with rings on their fingers.

- I thought to myself, "What is that?" / - A photo.

Sayuri, please show us the evidence.

Did you just take a photo of this and send it to her?

His sister asked me, "Is that a wedding ring?"

It felt like a hammer had hit my head.

Actually, I told her this in a brief way.

I did tell her that I was going there to get married.

I don't think she heard me.

It wasn't that she didn't hear you, as the saying goes,

"There is no point in being warm to a son."

You're talking nonsense.

Going there to get married

is a topic that warranted a serious talk.

In truth, all I had in my head was, "I need to go."

When I look at him right now,

I feel like he has nothing else in his head.

He's busy holding his wife's hand, stroking her hair.

All his thoughts and attention is on her.

(He needs to be punished)

- You thoughtless boy. / - No, don't hit.

The mother looks so happy right now.

When I tried to do that, Khaoula said, "No!"

The husband is doing such a nice job,

she might not have any concerns.

But during the honeymoon period,

there is a lot that you worry about.

Let's take a look.

(A daughter-in-law's responsibility is hard)

- A daughter-in-law's responsibility. / - I see.

Well, she doesn't live with me,

how hard can it be?

Exactly. She hasn't even started being strict.

Khaoula, what do you find the most difficult?

There is a big difference between Korea and Morocco.

In Morocco, the mother-in-law doesn't get

involved in the son's life.

For foreigners, we don't really like having

someone interfering and meddling in our lives.

I did say this to her,

I told her to cook him breakfast in the morning.

You have to ask her to cook it from the beginning.

I had told him this even before he got married.

Ma'am, why did you press the password

and enter the house?

The reason I barged in like that was since

I don't know her personality, I wanted to know her.

I wanted to see what she's like

when her husband isn't around.

Even a lot of Korean daughters-in-law

hate it when that happens.

I think the culture is starting to change.

Of course they hate it.

On that day, I had told her.

We had to do the grocery shopping for the memorial.

She just hadn't understood.

She didn't understand.

That's why I just barged in.

When a situation like this happens,

what do you say to your wife and mother?

When I talk to my wife, I take my mother's side.

When I talk with my mother, I take Khaoula's side.

This is a very serious problem.

From my experience, the husband is currently

doing the most foolish thing he can.

Right?

An expert would take her wife's side

when he talks to her.

When you talk with mom, you should take her side.

What are we going to do with you?

Again, I can see someone

who should be cursed for his actions.

Still, she comes over to do the memorial

and helps make kimchi.

When you see her try, you think she is lovely, right?

She's doing really well.

She is doing things that Korean daughters-in-law

wouldn't do.

So, when I think of that,

I know she's a kind person,

and I'm not a financially wealthy person.

He gives a quarter of his monthly salary to me.

I tell him that he doesn't need to give it to me.

He has to maintain his life,

so I tell him not to give it to me.

He keeps saying he'll give it to me. So, I said okay.

If she says no, he can't give me the money, right?

That's right.

In any case, just promise us that you won't barge in.

- Right. / - Do you promise?

There's a reason for her being strict.

The mother-in-law has

also started to fall for Khaoula's irresistible charms.

In truth, she has to go to Morocco today.

- Did you say today? / - Today?

Why does she have to go?

It's because her visa has expired.

I feel really bad because

I have to go back to a long-distance relationship again.

I will really miss my husband.

I really don't want to leave him.

I'm going to see my parents again but

even so, I feel this is really hard and I'm so sad.

I told her not to cry at the airport and

just think of it as going on a vacation trip to Morocco.

I will be fine and I'm going to miss you so much.

Tell me that you'll have a safe trip.

- I'll have a safe trip. / - Good girl.

Khaoula, have a safe trip to Morocco.

We'll cheer for you so that

you'll do well in Korea.

We'll end the show here today.

- Good-bye. / - Take care.

- Good-bye. / - Good-bye.

New Jurassic Park Movie Toys Indominus Rex Vs T-Rex TYRANNOSAURUS REX Limited Edition Unboxing - Duration: 8:28.

New Jurassic Park Movie Toys Indominus Rex Vs T-Rex TYRANNOSAURUS REX Limited Edition Unboxing

park statue toy this is actually a

limited edition blu-ray trilogy but the

main reason I bought it is for that

statue I mean check that thing out the

t-rex Boston through the gates of

jurassic park that is the coolest I

reviews da drastic world 12 with

exclusive statute so if you want to

check that up its cool looks like off

it's a block box so this actually does

include the blu-rays for jurassic park

the lost world jurassic park three

well I think the statue part is the

coolest part of it and then there's a

look at the bottom

ok let's go ahead and open this up and

check it out

so let's see what we did the flock to

school so you've got the statue and then

you've got the trilogy and a certificate

of authenticity also looks cool and then

here is a look at the inside of this box

inside of the box is just had like a

like a great place to walk so it looks

like it

integrate so anyway here is the main

reason I bought this set

I mean who's thing is also that figure

out how to take it out imaging it plus

it's got a tail pipe so anyways let's

take a closer look at this statue as you

can see the t-rex here has busted

through the doors of jurassic park I

mean the doors are all and pieces here

here are down here you have part of a

rail

this must be the rail that brings like

the vehicles through the actual park so

off going on detail I mean you've got

this flames on the gate here you've got

off really cool looking plants they're

like Robert here I mean you could move

them if you touch them you got the

little pieces of the door here like it

says the rail for the ride and then the

t-rex himself

I mean they did a great job detailing

this guy i mean the teeth are all

individual you can see a little bit of

paint over run on the teeth but overall

I mean I think it looks awesome and this

is like cloud it is looks like it's hard

plastic but he is sort of flexible and

wondering if he not doesn't seem like he

comes off it seems like he's permanently

attached by like I said individual teeth

did a great job with the tongue also

painting the I like a blue color so

that's cool

here are authentic coloring really nice

dark light green mixed with like of

brownish gray color

uh ok his arms move so this is basically

pretty much as statue that are you could

use for just why purposes but you can

see there the bus the door behind them

so I mean the detail on this guy is for

a housing and then even like the nails I

mean they did a great job with the skin

detail and painting the nails even these

tiny little nails in the back here they

want a head is painted and they painted

the nails on his hands also really nice

detail there so guys are display

purposes this thing is also i mean you

can't go wrong with this statue it is so

cool off from the back it is a little

bit boring

this is this is like a plastic and this

this feels like rubber probably so it's

flexible you could off like bend it

around a little bit if you want and that

is pretty much the statue there here is

got some type of black 2 2011 universal

studios and Amblin entertainment all

rights reserved

made in china so like I said super great

detail there and then as an effort

afterthought it does come with all three

films you got the Jurassic Park ultimate

trilogy jurassic park the lost world

jurassic park three so you can open it

here you could see over two hours and

never seen before bonus features all

this up front ah guess it comes with a

digital copy and then if you take it out

of the slipcase you got all three of

them in here says Jurassic Park ultimate

trilogy

here is a look at the back those hours

of bonus features

then here is a look at the inside so you

got the three films here you got all

nice graphics behind them so if you

remove it there you can see you got

really nice i believe they're yeah

they're individual graphics based on the

movie so it's not the same graphics for

all three of them so that's pretty cool

but here you've got like the Raptors

direction and get like the actors from

the third one so all that's really cool

but I like it said the statue is my

favorite part and let me compare it to

the drastic world one

ok so here he is compared insights to

the Jurassic world once the first if you

want to try the and dominant they are

really similar in size it just seems

like the in dominant is a bit longer so

he set it up there you can see the in

dominant is longer than the TV bracket

but the head size and everything seems

to be very similar also did a full

review of this one this one's the

statues are totally awesome really great

detail you want to go to the end of this

video and check out that jurassic world

of playlist

it's been there well like I said

astounding detail super awesome let me

also know which one of these three

statues is your favor because for me it

would be the indominus I mean they put

so much detail and everything into that

is totally cool

yeah guys that was a lot of fun and if

you enjoyed the video make sure you

click Subscribe and the thumbs up button

down below the video in today's secret

word is a word

go ahead and put that in the comments

section below the video on those you

Trump Completely Melts Down In Unhinged Press Conference - Duration: 5:57.

Yesterday, the media was buzzing about Donald Trump's crazy press conference that he, for

some reason, decided to give.

He went on for 77 minutes, the entire time talking about complete nonsense.

Anyone who watched this press conference, or anyone who even read the transcripts, or

read stories about what happened, understands that this man is unfit mentally to be the

President of the United States, to be the leader of the, so-called, free world.

Some of the highlights from this Donald Trump press conference include numerous attacks

on the media.

He spent the first portion of his entire speech talking about the fact that the media is dishonest.

The media lies to you.

The media can't be trusted, so take it straight from me.

He started off the press conference saying, "I'm taking this message to the American people,

not to the media, because the media can't be trusted."

That is exactly what authoritarian dictatorships do.

They tell you that the media can't be trusted, trust me instead.

I'll give you the straight dope on what's happening.

He's pandering to the American public, once again, by creating an enemy.

The enemy is the media.

The enemy are the intelligence agency's leaking the information showing that his campaign

and his staff have had, potentially, illegal communications with foreign countries.

But not according to Trump.

According to Donald Trump, in this press conference, his administration is running like a fine-tuned

machine.

"Everything's perfect.

Don't listen to the media, listen to me."

His supporters are going to buy that.

This is psychological manipulation 101.

This is straight out of the playbook of Hitler and Mussolini.

This is what they did.

You attack the media.

You tell the people that they're smarter than the media, and you buy their support by pandering

to them and manipulating them.

That's what Donald Trump did with this press conference.

Later on in the press conference, April Ryan, a reporter with the American Urban News Network,

asked a question about Donald Trump, whether or not he would meet with the Congressional

Black Caucus.

April Ryan, herself, a black woman.

Donald Trump's response was, "Can you set up a meeting with them?"

Because, according to Donald Trump, if you're a black person in the United States, obviously,

you know all of the other black people in the United States.

Maybe Trump assumes that, maybe, they all get together once a month for some kind of

meeting, or at least a conference call.

So, yeah, a black person would easily be able to set that up.

Ironic here, though, is that the Congressional Black Caucus had, in fact, invited Trump to

come meet with them on January 19, the day before Donald Trump was sworn in.

He never responded to them.

Now, according to White House officials and the Congressional Black Caucus, they're actually

working now to try to set up some kind of meeting, because Trump got called out and,

you know, he understands that the public isn't too happy about that.

The rest of this press conference was nothing but ranting and raving.

The ravings of a madman.

Think about this, if you were walking down the street, and there was a guy on the corner,

maybe even well dressed, in a suit, if he was shouting the same things that Donald Trump

was shouting during this press conference, if he was just reading Donald Trump's transcript

word for word, you would probably cross the street to get away from this nut, but we can't

do that.

This is our president.

This man has no idea what he's doing and he's up there in front of the entire nation, in

front of the entire world, saying crazy, nonsensical things that everybody knows are not true,

with the exception of Trump supporters.

In that case, everything the man says is absolutely true.

He completely covered up the whole issue with Michael Flynn being forced to resign because

he has been so incompetent, such a disgrace, and, you know, potentially committed treason.

Covered that up, said, "No big deal, it's the press.

It's the press.

It's the media, the fake news.

They're the ones creating the problem, not my incompetence, or my guy's incompetence.

It's this stupid media.

They're the enemy, blame them, go after them."

That's not going to continue to work.

Look, I have no respect for the corporate media whatsoever.

Don't get me wrong on that.

They are awful, but in this instance, nobody has proven their story's false yet.

Nobody has been able to conclusively say that these stories are not true.

We do, however, have proof that what Donald Trump has said is not true.

You can trust whoever you want on these issues, but for right now, until other proof is available,

I'm going to go with the corporate media.

Donald Trump has proven that he is a guy you cannot take at your word.

He's a guy that likes to insult people.

During the press conference, a Hasidic reporter asked him a question.

Donald Trump's response, "Be quiet.

Sit down."

That's the President of the United States folks.

He has no respect for anyone else in this country, probably not even for his own family.

He cares about himself.

He loves himself, and he wants everybody to love him too, but he's not going to extend

that effort.

The only thing he's going to do is play on our own psychological fears, the fears of

his supporters, which is the fact that the media lies.

The media can't be trusted.

Those people are going to continue to support him.

But it takes a special kind of stupid to take Donald Trump's words at face value.

Review | The Daughters by Adrienne Celt - Duration: 6:12.

Hi everyone, I'm hear today to review The Daughters

by Adrienne Celt which is a book that I recently

read and I've not heard a lot of people

talk about it. I quite enjoyed it so I thought

I would do a review. So this is kind of a

family saga, it follows the female line of

the family over four or five generations and

this is very much, like I said, about the

female characters in the family. It'ss about

daughters and mothers and grandmothers

and sisters in this specific Polish

family. So the overall storyline of this

is that they believe that in this family when they have

a child, it will be a girl and then

the mother will lose something very

vital, something very important to her. And it's said

this curse follows them through the generations.

So this opens with Lulu

who is the fourth in the family line

and she just had a baby girl called Kara. And in

the family, it's also tradition to sing

the baby into the family as a way of welcoming

them to family.

This follows Lulu from just after she gives birth

in the weeks, few weeks, up until the baptism

when she's gonna sing to welcome

the baby into the family. But Lulu is an

opera singer and it's very very

important to her and she terrified that when she

sings the baby into the family that she is

going to in some way lose her voice or

lose her talent and that would be

terrible for her. This curse and the

traditions are passed down through all

the generations and particularly kept

present and are told to Lulu by her grandmother,

Ada, who is a really huge storyteller. So

she passes the stories on to Lulu as she's

raising her from being a very small child.

And they are steeped in all this Polish mythology

and just really wonderful magical

stories. In particular Ada tells Lulu

about her own mother who was called

Greta?

Yeah, I nearly forgot the name then. She was called Greta

She is like a legend in the family,

she's this fiercesome woman who did

extraordinary things so Ada tells her

about these stories all the time and

it's thought the curse started with

Greta. So the whole way through the story,

the whole way through the book whilst you're

getting these stories, you're also kind of wondering

what it is that she could have done that

started this curse that has affected the family.

So, overall the main plot is, as I said,

Lulu's just had this baby and it follows her over

the few weeks upto the christening whilst

she's trying to adjust this new life with a

new baby but also terrified and wondering

how much is this baby going to take from her

life. In some ways like nothing really

happens

but through Ada's storytelling

you learn all about the previous

generations of the family and what happened in

their lifetime and also through Lulu's

recollections you learn about her own

childhood and how she got to be at this place in

your life. As you're reading through it

really flicks back and forward around the

timeline but I don't think you're ever

really confused. I think it really fits

with this theme of storytelling and I

really loved that storytelling was such a

strong theme, I enjoy that as a narrative

device. I think it's something that

always kind of manages to wrap me up with

magic. Especially the way that Ada tells these

stories about her own mother with so

much passion and how the telling of

these stories has become a tradition in

itself. When Lulu is younger, she's constantly

asking for... tell me the story about

when she did this, tell me a story about when this

happened and the stories themselves become

part of the tradition. There's so much

magic imbued in these stories that

the book almost reads as magical realism but

it's really about the magic of

storytelling and in that if you have

these stories in your life, if you give

them enough credence they will almost

become real. And what I loved with that

as I said, Ada tells these stories with such

passion, she wholeheartedly believes them and

also in the lessons that I think she feels

like, the things she's teaching Lulu when

she tells them but we also get the alternate

side of the story from Sara who is

Lulu's mother who is more of, she's a

much darker character and she

gives her own critical, more realistic

slant on all of these stories that

we hear. So it's up to you and you know

Lulu also, in the book, has to make up her

own mind about which of the two sides of the

story is she going to believe. I also thought

that the writing style in this was,

it was beautiful, it sometimes feels a

little bit over-written, a little bit too flowery

but I think it fit the story with all of

these tails that have been passed down and also fit

the narration style from Lulu who herself is a

little bit of a dreamer and she

really believes there's something

magical about her own craft when

she's singing. She talks about singing quite a lot and

she, you know, it's quite clear she

believe that there's magic in these

things in her life whatever you want to

believe that kind of magic is. I don't

feel like I've really read a book like this

before,

it felt quite new like something quite

fresh to me and I really enjoyed it.

The only criticism I did have was that

sometimes it did feel like there's so

many characters, you're getting stories about so

many different people and there's so many

different themes that it did feel a

little bit overwhelming in such a short

book but it didn't, overall it didn't affect my

enjoyment and I still gave this four stars.

I actually found a video on youtube of the

author giving a talk at Google and she reads

the prologue from this book and talks

about her writing process and also about

how she got the inspiration for this book.

I belive she has two Polish grandmothers and

one of them is a big storyteller which is

where she got the inspiration for this so

I'll link that down below in case anyone's

interested. I don't think there's really

anything else that I wanted to say.

Yeah I really enjoyed this book, I'd be

interested to see what more people

think of it because like I said, I haven't

heard very many people talking about it

but it had some really interesting themes. So

if you have read it, let me know or if you're

interested in it

leave me a comment. Thank you for watching and

I will see you in the next video. Bye!

What Is An Adventure? | Channel Trailer 2017 - Duration: 1:18.

What is an adventure? You don't have to jump out of a plane to have an adventure.

You don't even have to le ave the house if you don't want to.

Adventures are about living life. Trying the things you want to try,

even if they don't make sense to anyone else.

Visiting the places you've only ever seen in movies,

but remember the places closer to home too.

Sharing your stories with the world is an adventure in itself

and it can lead to even more adventures.

Getting excited over what came in the mail

and finding others who will share your excitement.

Connecting with friends and creating something together that you're both proud of.

Learning from each other's lives - that's an adventure.

There's many types of adventures, big and small.

These are my adventures.
