Youtube daily Feb 8 2017

Last night CNN hosted a town hall debate between Senator Bernie Sanders and Senator Ted Cruz

where the two of them debated the merits of keeping Obamacare or completely repealing

Obamacare as Ted Cruz wants to do.

Now, during the debate Ted Cruz made some points, most of which were not based anywhere

near reality, or he cherry picked his data to kind of try to show that a universal health

care option, a single-payer option, and even the Affordable Care Act, all of those are

just horrible ideas.

On the other side Bernie Sanders came armed with facts and basic human decency.

That's what Bernie Sanders brought to that debate last night.

When Ted Cruz was talking about the fact that we need a patient powered system, a system

that empowers patients, Bernie Sanders mentioned the fact that more than 20 million Americans

will lose their health insurance if Obamacare, the Affordable Care Act, is repealed.

When Ted Cruz was paying lip service to his cronies in the health-insurance industry that

have given him $2 million for his campaign Bernie Sanders was talking about the fact

that even with the Affordable Care Act people still have trouble affording health care.

They still can't afford it.

They have access, they just can't pay for it.

That was a big theme last night was access.

Ted Cruz kept bringing up the fact that we need access to doctors.

We need access to health insurance.

We need access to pharmaceuticals.

As Bernie Sanders correctly pointed out, access exists.

What doesn't exist is a means for people to pay for it.

Now, Ted Cruz talked about the fact that his father came into this country, started working

as an immigrant, as a dishwasher for $.50 an hour, managed to get a better job, and

then a better job, and then a better job to provide health insurance for his family, and

that's great for you Ted Cruz.

Those opportunities do not exist in the United States anymore though unless you're already

born to a well-to-do family.

Those opportunities don't exist because of the job environment that Republicans, and

some Democrats including Bill Clinton, helped to create inside the United States.

Those jobs where you could make a solid middle-class income, get health insurance and all that,

are gone, either shipped overseas or automated.

They simply don't exist anymore.

But Ted Cruz didn't want to mention that.

Ted Cruz also brought up a couple points like, 'Oh, there was a woman in Australia where

they have single-payer coverage.

She died so obviously single-payer is a bad idea.'

His points that made no sense but one thing we saw was that this slimy little man is a

good politician for Republicans.

In fact, he represented last night everything that the Republican Party stands for; boring

tried talking points that don't mean anything, lying, trying to change the subject.

Things like that are the hallmarks of the Republican Party during a debate but Cruz

was slick, and the problem is that the Republican base will believe everything that this man

said last night.

That's what makes him so dangerous.

Ted Cruz is absolutely going to run for president again and to be honesty I think he's got a

very good shot at getting it because of the way he is able to manipulate his base with

his words.

Now, to Bernie Sanders credit, again, he did a phenomenal job but I will say there were

areas where I wish he would've gone a little bit harder on Ted Cruz.

For example, when Ted Cruz claimed that the Affordable Care Act caused to 6 billion people

to lose their health insurance plans that they liked, they had to go to other plans

because of Obamacare.

When Ted Cruz brought up the fact that insurance premiums were still going up.

What Bernie Sanders should've replied to both of those statements with was that those were

decisions made by insurance companies, the same insurance companies that fund your campaigns

Ted.

Those decisions were made in board rooms, not in Washington D.C.

They were made by executives who want to make more money, not by President Obama.

He didn't raise your insurance premiums.

Congress didn't raise your insurance premiums.

The insurance companies did that and Ted Cruz did not want to put any bit of the responsibility

for the American health care crisis on to those insurance companies.

He wanted to blame every single thing that's wrong with healthcare in the United States

on the federal government.

Now, this man and his Republican cronies in Washington, specifically the House, they've

had seven years to come up with a replacement plan.

Seven years and they literally have nothing.

They haven't been able to come up with a single good idea in seven years.

Another thing that we saw from Bernie Sanders last night, and this was probably his best

quality, was that he got mad.

He got fired up and he got passionate, and that's not something that we really see from

the Democrats in Washington D.C. anymore.

Bernie Sanders obviously has gone back to being an independent, not running as a Democrat

right now obviously, but his passion shows his concern for the American people.

He's not doing this to further his career.

I mean he understands that at his age he doesn't have much time left in his career before he

retires.

He is doing this to protect people.

He's doing this to give people what they deserve, and that is affordable access to good health

care in the United States.

Ted Cruz at one point told us that the reason we pay so much more in the United States for

healthcare and pharmaceuticals is because over here it's just better, so we should just

pay more money because it's better.

No Cruz, the reason we pay so damn much is because our government is not allowed to negotiate

prices with the drug companies or the insurance companies like every other country in the

world.

We pay so much because we're ass backwards when it comes to things like that, but you're

not going to tell your base that because as you pointed out you guys won several elections

based on nothing more than bashing Obamacare, and your idiot base kept reelecting you because

you said you were going to do it, even though you never did.

But now that you've got the votes you don't know what to do.

You're running scared and your base is actually turning on you because as soon as they actually

found out that the Affordable Care Act is Obamacare, that they're the same things, because

some for some reason those idiots didn't know that, now they're freaked out because they're

going to lose their health insurance.

When that happens I want everyone to remember Ted Cruz is the guy, along with the rest of

the Republicans but right now apparently Ted Cruz is the face of it.

They're the ones who took away your health insurance.

Maintainer Stories — Katrina Owen - Duration: 2:21.

I never expected to be an open-source

maintainer I was just scratching an itch

I wrote a little project that was doing

a thing because I needed a thing, and

then it got a bunch of attention and a

bunch of people started using it and

suddenly I found myself in a situation

where I was managing all of this chaos

and I totally didn't have the skills to do

that so I've spent the past three years

trying to figure out what skills are

actually involved in managing an

open-source project as opposed to just

writing code, which is really different.

My name is Katrina Owen, and I

maintain a project called exercism.io.

Exercism is a platform for

practicing programming languages or

ramping up very quickly in a new

programming language. I spent a year

writing curriculum for one of a

developer training programs and so I

wrote Exercism as a little app to help

do work that we needed done at work.

About a year ago someone on the open-source team here

at GitHub reached out to me.

They wanted someone whose main focus could be

open-source maintainers and that

they wanted that to be someone who is an

open-source maintainer.

Part of my job is to go out, talk

to other open-source maintainers about

how their projects are going — what's

working what's not what's hard

what's missing in the tools that exist —

and help bring all of that knowledge

back into GitHub and figure out how we

can make life better for maintainers.

I live out in Texas in the boonies and I

come into San Francisco a couple times

three times a year to collaborate with

my team have meetings and all that and

also to meet with open-source maintainers who live

here work here. I've met a lot of really

great people working on open-source.

People who are genuine and thoughtful

and helpful.

I've learned

so much about empathy and communication

and asking better questions, and I don't

think I would have had that

without open-source.

Even though it is a lot, a lot, of work, the

reward that you get is extremely awesome because

I get tons and tons of messages

like, "this is the best tool I've used

in this entire year." That is that is very

rewarding to do something that you

absolutely love and just hear that you

have helped someone somehow in

a little way.

My name is Amjith, and I maintain the projects Pgcli and MyCLI.

Pgcli is a command-line tool that talks

to Postgres database and suggests

autocompletion as you start typing the queries.

I have always been a fan of

command-line tools, and I wanted to write

one of those for Postgres database, because

I was working with Postgres quite a bit, and

instead of learning how to use the

default client that came with Postgres,

I decided to create one that fit

my mental model better.

I get to wear all these hats that you get to wear in a

start-up, but at the same time, there's

absolutely no risk involved. If a project fails,

it's not the end of the world. It's not

like I'm putting my entire livelihood

into this. That's very very empowering, and

that's one of the main reasons, I think,

why I love working in this particular project.

My son goes to a Montessori preschool, and I

volunteer as a greeter once a week at

the school, and it helps me be connected

with the school and and make sure that I

play a part in his development and now

I get to see all the parents on a

weekly basis when they drop off their kids.

I look back on how the last four years

has been with my son, and it's been a blur

like everything just goes really

fast, but then having these punctuated

moments where it's like, "Oh, I got to do

these things with him." I think that helps

quite a bit. When I started Pgcli, we

had our first kid at the time, and I was

just getting over the whole new parent

thing where I was thinking, "Oh my god,

everything is sinking; I just need

to stay afloat." And then when we had our

second kid, which is about eight months

ago, that's when I started thinking about

like maybe there is someone else who

should step forward and take over

ownership of these projects and give it

the time that it needs. Irina is one of the

longest members of the core team.

She's a family friend of mine,

and she's been a long time contributing

member, and then she stepped up and said,

"Yes, I'd be happy to do that." And so

she'll be doing Pgcli maintaining going forward.

It doesn't quite feel

like an end of an era or anything

because I'm still going to be in the

core team. I'm still helping her during

the transition phase, so it maybe not

hit me yet. I'm happy that someone else

is willing to take on that task and set

the direction and now I get to go back

and implement features and write more

code and concentrate on that role as an

open-source contributor. So I'm relieved

and happy that, you know, I get to do that again.

Maintainer Stories — Eric Holscher - Duration: 2:29.

Almost everyone who's a good maintainer

really values building up new

contributors and building up people —

just giving them a good experience in open-source.

Being able to engage with

those people and help them create

something and put something out into

the world and build on something that exists, I think, is

a really amazing feeling.

My name is Eric Holscher, and I maintain

Read the Docs, which is a documentation

hosting platform for open-source

projects. I had a few open-source

projects that had docs, but they weren't

getting updated; so the goal was really

to kind of automatically publish

documentation when it got created.

A lot of what we try to do is lower the

barrier for contribution. You're trying

to learn about a project, you're trying

to contribute to that project, and we want to

enable that as much as we can.

Read the Docs was very much a side project, but it

eventually got to the point where if we

went down, thousands of people couldn't

do their jobs, and that's really when

it's like, "Oh! This is something that

should really have dedicated resources,

and it needs someone who's working on

it full time." The way that we've been doing

that is trying to build a business that

both respects our users and doesn't

compromise our integrity but also makes

money; and so that's really been the

mission the last few years. Trying to do

anything that's yours and that you have

so much ownership over and eco invested

in is really difficult, but it's just

like starting a business. Figuring out

sustainability within an open-source

project is ninety-nine percent the same

as figuring out sustainability within a

business. I view places as kind of

discrete chunks of time, and I try to

map tasks onto them, where it's like

I'm going to these phone calls at home,

and then we're going to go into a

co-working space and do these two

tickets, and then I'm gonna go grab

coffee and have a meeting with somebody

and then work from there to like do the

notes. I feel privileged every day to be

able to set my own schedule and to be able

to work on something that I helped bring

into the world. The fact that I'm putting my

day-to-day stress towards something that

might not exist otherwise is an

incredible privilege, and it really does

feel like we're starting to become

sustainable and to actually solve this

problem. It's incredibly hard day-to-day,

but it's incredibly rewarding day-to-day as well.

Top 5 Games to Drive You Insane - PVP Live - Top 5 List - Duration: 5:27.

In the mood to submit your conscious to the dark side and lose all sense of reality?

Here are five games to help you do it.

What is there to say about this game that it's own Steam summary doesn't already

say?

"You will play as Stanley, and you will not play as Stanley.

You will follow a story, and you will not follow a story.

You will have a choice, and you will have no choice.

The game will end, and the game will never end."

What makes The Stanley Parable such a great example of headfuckery is that you are constantly

waiting and hoping for… something.

Something bigger and better for you and the character, like a self-fulfilling prophecy

kind of thing.

So, here I am.

I'm sitting at my desk, pushing buttons because that's what I do, but I can get

up and walk around the office.

I can open doors and look in filing cabinets and the whole time, this disembodied narrator

is telling me about Stanley and Stanley's life and…

Oh my God, there has to be more to it than this.

But what… is… it?

What will I gain or learn from it?

Do I even want it?

It's this Orwellian conundrum that makes the game so batshit insane, despite it being,

for all intents and purposes, just another day at the office.

No!

No, no, no, no, no!

Being alone in a vast, endless landscape is one of my greatest fears and that is ALL Shadow

of the Colossus is.

No towns to explore.

No other characters to talk to.

I mean, I got a horse, but he's not one of those personality-having Disney horses.

All I can do is walk around and be isolated and cold and come across giant rock monsters

and giant minotaur wolf beast things that are scary as balls and IF I'm able to kill

them, I'm still the only person here.

To top that off, I can't even kill them until I figure out what their weaknesses are.

No hack and slash, no keep on hitting 'til they run out of HP.

Just…

Gah!

Look, I get it.

It's a PS2 classic.

It forever revolutionized the medium as we now know it.

But, it drives me crazy.

What's the point?

I kill these 16 guys and then my girl gets her spirit back or something?

What then?

It's still barren.

It's still cold.

It's still hauntingly quiet because there are still zero signs of life outside of me,

her and this boring horse.

God, this game is bleak.

I love it!

Remember that scene in Apocalypse Now where Martin Sheen gets completely shit-housed and

has a complete mental breakdown in a Saigon hotel room?

Yeah, that's you after playing this game.

Spec Ops: The Line follows three soldiers – the player and two NPC's – as they

traverse a battle-ravaged Dubai to locate the source of a distress call.

Along the way, their morality is constantly put into question as they witness the unspeakable

horrors of war, challenging what we as humans are truly capable of when we lose our sense

of self.

It's the kind of shooter that doesn't treat warfare like popcorn entertainment.

It's more Hearts of Darkness than Call of Duty, and that's what makes it a memorable

gameplay experience.

It injects you right into the action and makes you just as uncertain of your purpose as the

characters are: Why are we doing this?

What are we even doing here?

Whether you end up crossing the line or not, it's an experience that is utterly unforgettable.

See, now this is a game that messed with my head but didn't make me want to purchase

a gun with only one bullet after playing it.

Narratively, Eternal Darkness is kind of by the numbers Lovecraftian stuff: retrieve the

ancient tome, dispel the ancient monster, and that can be disturbing in and of itself.

What makes it a standout of synaptic shenanigans is that it actually plays pranks on you with

the gameplay.

You encounter various sanity effects which are determined by the level of your sanity

meter.

The lower your sanity meter, the more intense the effects are.

The camera angle gets twisted and distorted.

You start to hear a creepy array of whispers and screeches and unsettling crying sounds

that make you wonder if this just became Bioshock all of a sudden.

And if that isn't head-trippy enough for you, how about a pop-up screen that tells

you your memory card has been corrupted or a malfunction that brings up the dreaded blue

screen of death?

What do you do?

Is something wrong with your tv?

It's moments like this that you just pull your knees to your chest and keep reminding

yourself, "It's only a game, it's only a game, it's only a game…"

One part plight-ridden dating sim, one part intense platform puzzler, Catherine chews

away at your psyche in a really weird, tingly, please stop okay keep doing it kind of way.

You play as Vincent, a guy dealing with the tribulations of adulthood and all that good

stuff.

He's in a relationship with Katherine with a K.

That is, until he has a one-night stand with Catherine with a C. That's when Vincent

starts having dreams, and you start politely asking the game to stop the madness.

In one sense, it's like an anime version of Archie and the Riverdale gang.

It's bright and innocent, and then BAM, demonic babies and gigantic butts with spike

tongues start attacking you as you try and make your way up the ladder, all the while

thinking to yourself, "I wonder if this is what the makers of Attack on Titan have

nightmares about."

The morality system mechanic plays on your guilt as well by making you responsible for

a lot of Vincent's choices in how he handles his indiscretion.

So, now you don't just feel like you're watching something you shouldn't be watching,

but you're also doing something you shouldn't be doing.

Thanks, Atlus.

I'm gonna go take a shower now.

Those are my picks, but what games took you for a mental marathon?

Leave any suggestions you might have in the comments

I've been Jeff, and you've been watching esports on PVP Live.

New Jurassic Park Remote T-Rex Vs King Kong Skull Island Unboxing - Duration: 11:01.

New Jurassic Park Remote T-Rex Vs King Kong Skull Island Unboxing

Jurassic Park toy

this is a remote-control t-rex throw the

lost world so this is old-school remote

controls the wire

it's got like two button it has like

roaring action so if you push it down

here open floor

mom way up i mean check this guy out

I like that and I he's supposed to walk

but he does not i mean he moves his leg

but he doesn't walk the thing is that he

has rollers here which I covered because

with the rollers he just went back and

forth so i figured if i covered the

rollers since the legs are moving maybe

he would walk but there might be

something actually wrong with it because

he's not walking even if I cover the

wheel that you can see his feet to move

back and forth so it's almost like he's

dancing in place but ah let's go ahead

and take a look at this guy overall I

mean he is entirely covered and rubber

like everywhere as you can see this is

an older one you can see it has a lot

more crack so I got the JP logo there up

you know pretty good detail for all

remote control

Dino a lot of times when you get to like

the remote control type dinos they're

not all that great detail like it's that

rubber skin

ah nice authentic coloring it's like God

darker green with like God black mixed

in ic orange in the cracks here but I

don't know if that's just permit age or

possibly they had an orange color and it

or are they did do great job detailing

this guy's head

I mean this is all rubber so it is a lot

more detailed and then

you see there you can like live if you

let open involved to way off even with

your hands so this is cool this would

even be fun to play with with out a

remote off he's not all that different

from a lot of the other odd Jurassic

Park dinos even without the remote

what is that you could openly good way

out sort of like that dominance rex the

original one that I he does have the

tiny little spindly arms sawed detail

wise they did a really great job with

this dino and then like I said here is

the speaker and here is where the remote

cable actually goes in so these older

ones they did not have radio control

they have the little remote so here you

got lost world jurassic park remote one

button moves his legs the other button

opens his mouth and make roaring noise

through the speaker and then this uses

off for double way battery so I mean

it's cool

on this one you could actually find

rather inexpensive on ebay if you want

to get one of the drastic Park dinosaurs

that are like rubber and you don't want

to spend a fortune

this would probably be a good one for

you and here he is size comparison to

the animatronics Spinosaurus as you can

see the animatronic is a bit bigger

bought for this guy

if you can't him and working good

working condition you're going to say

probably about 250 this one here i

actually got that long i think for $27

so I mean here is like the red wreck

very similar in size and like I said

it's all rubber right so even

if you get this guy with the remote not

working

you can't really move his legs but you

could move his off head but you could

manipulate his head by just pushing on

his neck here so you could have them

open and closed his mouth so even

without the remote working or not he's

still a pretty good deal so off go ahead

and check out his stuff like i said this

one you could find for odd decent price

I mean I regulars we see these going for

about 30 and a lot of time under that so

I if you do like him like i said this is

one of this is going to be one of your

better buys if you want to get one of

the older dinos and there he is

ah there she is that mean and I one

other thing guys if you do like any of

the drastic world i knows you might want

to go out and buy what you could find

now because they did lose the license so

and i believe july of this year the

license transfers over i think to mattel

not hundred percent positive so those

diners are going to be God so if you

want to find any of them without

spending a fortune

I would go and look right now

yeah that was a lot of fun and if you

enjoyed the video make sure you click

Subscribe and the thumbs up button down

La Doña | Recap (02/03/2017) | Telemundo Novelas - Duration: 15:11.

Jaime and Saul at his First Communion.

Jaime and I on the day we bought our first car.

Jaime eating chilaquiles. It was Grams' recipe.

He really loved those.

Clara and Jaime on her 15th birthday.

I don't think I've ever given you reason not to believe me.

We should leave. This is getting personal.

It was because she was upset with me.

You don't want me as your enemy.

Trust me.

She told me...

she said that she could destroy me

as easily as she had helped me.

I don't want to put more things on your plate,

but I just want Mr. Jaime's killer to be punished.

There's something else you don't know.

I know Altagracia sent you, you bastards!

I swear everyone will know she's responsible for this!

If you kill me, the truth will come out!

Shut her up!

Help!

Help! Help!

Yesenia doesn't want to leave either.

- YESENIA TAMPOCO QUIERE IRSE.

Yesenia and I spoke on the phone before they met at the job site.

She knows the truth.

I also spoke to Yesenia.

She swears you're making it all up.

She said she was never there, much less with you.

She hates me. I'm being set up.

Don't you see, Saul? We're both being lied to!

and you're going to kill again and again.

Go ahead. Shoot.

Show Saul and yourself that you'll never change.

Altagracia!

Ma'am, we found your sister!

Regina, I'm here! I'm being kept here!

Stop it!

Altagracia, what are you doing?

Thanks for seeing me, sir.

because you have a proposal for me, right?

A financial proposal?

You have the means to expedite this investigation.

My father taught me to be a righteous man.

I'm trusting that you'll do what's right

by the man who so blindly believed in justice.

If you don't mind, I'd like to start with my statement.

Well, don't say I didn't warn you.

I'm glad you're here, Regina.

but I can't do that because he thinks I killed him!

He won't believe me because of my past mistakes,

but I made all those mistakes because of you,

because of the Monkeys!

No, please, no more.

Oh, yes.

You're going to keep enjoying the benefits of this drug.

The hallucinations, the shivers, the nausea,

the paranoia, the panic attacks will all continue.

Yes, you'll have panic attacks just like I had

ever since you bastards came into my life!

No, please! I beg you!

-I'll give you a name. -Really?

But please don't do this.

Who is it?

I was thinking you could sing for them and teach them.

That sounds very exciting.

It's something very strong.

I can't lose him. Please help me with this.

I'm sorry, but you just said that I'm a loyal person.

My loyalty is to Saul and the pain he's going through.

I can't lie to him.

I just want you to stand up for the truth.

The truth is he'll never meet another woman

willing to give anything for him like I do.

CC: TELEMUNDO NETWORK CAPTION-Monica. UNDO.COM -Lady Altagracia.

What are you doing here, Altagracia?

We fell asleep.

I didn't realize it was morning already.

Is this a habit of yours?

No.

I just lost track of time. We were exhausted.

Wait, Monica. Don't.

You don't owe her any explanations.

How's my mother going to react

if she realizes you're here?

I made sure I wasn't seen.

Unlike you two. You left the door open.

That's why I came in.

This makes no sense. When I went to your house...

That's why I didn't attend the funeral...

He was asking someone if they'd found

Then he asked him if he'd destroyed all the evidence.

This definitely does come What's wrong with you?

Hi, guys, I'm Caitlin Stasey.

I play Ada Hamilton on "APB" and this is our great propmaster

Ben Lowney.

And he's showing us this thing.

What is this?

- This is the main drone in district 13.

The new Reeves Mark 1 police interceptor drone.

You made that?

Yes, sir, I did.

Was it intentionally designed based

on the alien from "Alien"?

You know, I'm not sure.

Is that just a coincidence?

I keep calling her Fido.

I had a collar on her for a while.

[clicking]

Shh, it's not your turn.

She unfortunately never gets to fly.

She gets to light up.

So if it can't actually fly, is that a visual effect

then every time that we see it?

Yeah.

When do we see it, it's done in post and FX.

Sorry about your drone.

Flying into a steel pylon at 50 miles an hour

wasn't exactly in the specs.

Lady Altagracia | Recap (02/03/2017) | Telemundo English - Duration: 15:11.

Yesenia and I spoke on the phone before they met at the job site.

She knows the truth.

I also spoke to Yesenia.

She swears you're making it all up.

She said she was never there, much less with you.

She hates me. I'm being set up.

- PORQUE ELLA ME ODIA. ES UNA TRAMPA.

Who is it?
