Youtube daily Jan 21 2017

IF YOU WERE WATCHING THE INAUGURATION TODAY YOU PROBABLY

COULDN'T HELP BUT NOTICE THAT THE CROWD WASN'T ALL THAT BIG

LEAGUE.

SO WE ARE GOING TO SHOW YOU SOME PHOTOS, THIS IS 2009,

YOU WILL SEE THE MALL THERE.

THAT IS HUGE.

THAT'S A BIG, NICE, WIDE SHOT, LET'S JUMP FORWARD TO 2017.

IT'S

NOT QUITE THE SAME SHOT, IT MIGHT BE A LITTLE DIFFICULT --

THERE IS A LOT OF WHITE SPACE, SO LET'S GO TO THE SPLIT SCREEN

-- THAT'S DIFFERENT.

THAT'S PRETTY DIFFERENT RIGHT THERE.

NOW, I KNOW THERE IS DISPUTE ABOUT EXACTLY WHEN THEY WERE

TAKEN, SOME PEOPLE ARE SAYING, WELL, THE 2017 PHOTO WAS TAKEN

30 MINUTES BEFORE THE SPEECH STARTED -- I'M PRETTY SURE

PEOPLE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE WAITING FOR HOURS FOR A

PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION SPEECH.

I WAS IN DC IN '09 FOR OBAMA'S FIRST INAUGURATION, I WAS THERE

AT 3 AM AND I HAD A TICKET FOR THE LAWN, BUT IN ORDER TO GET TO

WHERE YOU WERE SPOT TO BE, NOT SEATED BUT STANDING, YOU HAD TO

GET THERE -- I WAS STAYING IN SPRINGFIELD, THE SUBWAYS WERE

JAMMED, I DIDN'T LEAVE THE CITY THE REST OF THE DAY BECAUSE YOU

COULDN'T, I WALKED THE ENTIRE CITY, I WAS DEAD TIRED.

THE

SHEER NUMBER OF PEOPLE, YOU COULDN'T MOVE.

GETTING AROUND

WAS A PROBLEM -- I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE NUMBERS WERE, BUT YOU

CAN'T SAY THAT PICTURE WAS TAKEN 30 MINUTE BEFORE -- PEOPLE HAVE

TO FINISH THEIR SENTENCE.

WAS THE PICTURE TAKEN 30 MINUTES

AHEAD OF TIME?

WHAT HAPPENED IN THE LAST 30 MINUTES?

DID 1.5

MILLION PEOPLE SHOW UP AT THE SAME TIME?

WE DID THE LIVE COVERAGE DURING THE SPEECH, YOU COULD SEE

HUGE SECTIONS OF THE TARP THAT WERE EMPTY.

IT'S WHITE TARP AND

IT STANDS OUT CLEARLY, MAYBE TRUMP JUST WANTED TO MAKE

AMERICA WHITE AGAIN, BUT THERE WAS NO QUESTION THE PLACE WAS

NOT FILLED.

AND JUST ON THE YOUNG TURKS ALONE WE'VE COVERED

FOUR INAUGURATIONS AND I'VE NEVER SEEN EMPTY SPOTS AT ONE.

WHEN THEY DO THE MARCHING PAST AND HE IS OBSERVING THEM,

THE STANDS ARE ANTI-.

THE LAST SECTION WHERE HE GOT OUT OF THE LIMO AND WAS WALKING,

THEY WERE SHOWING THE BLEACHERS, WHICH ARE NOT 10,000 PERSON

BLEACHERS, JUST A FEW ROWS, AND THEY WERE LARGELY EMPTY IN

THE SECTION HE WAS WALKING.

THE ROSE PARADE HAD BETTER CROWDS.

WE WILL LOOK AT THE ESTIMATES OF VARIOUS INAUGURATIONS FROM

POLITIFACT -- BARACK OBAMA HAD A BIG DROP-OFF FROM 2009 TO 2013

BUT IT WAS STILL 1 MILLION, GEORGE W. BUSH DID OKAY, HE DID

BETTER IN 2005 AFTER HE LEGITIMATELY WON AN ELECTION, I

SUPPOSE.

BILL CLINTON, BIG WIN THERE, AND IT WAS MUCH SMALLER

BACK IN THE 80S BUT THAT'S WHEN IT WAS STILL SORT OF NEW I

GUESS.

ACCORDING TO DAN GROSS, TRUMP 2017, THE ESTIMATE ESTIMAT

WILL BE 250,000.

THERE WILL BE ESTIMATES COMING OUT IN THE NEXT

WEEKS, BUT THEY SAY THIS IS A CONSERVATIVE ESTIMATE, PROBABLY

GIVING HIM PEOPLE WHO WERE TO THERE.

THEY SAY SOME ARGUMENTS

FROM CONSERVATIVES ARE, ALL OF HIS SUPPORTERS ARE WORKERS --

GEORGE W. BUSH'S WEREN'T?

AND THEY SAY IT'S COLD.

BRING THIS

UP, BACK DURING OBAMA'S IT WAS 28∞, IT WAS COLD.

I WOULD AVOID GOING TO OBAMA'S INAUGURATION EVEN IF YOU

SENT ME FOR FREE, IT SOUNDS TERRIBLE.

MAYBE THE WARMEST PART OF THE DAY WAS 28, IT WAS 17 WHEN I WAS

THERE.

NO INTEREST.

AND IT WAS DARK WHEN YOU GOT OUT THERE, BUT YOU WERE THERE

THE WHOLE TIME.

EVEN WHEN THE SUN CAME UP MAYBE IT GOT UP THAT

HIGH.

BUT THERE WAS AN ENERGY SO YOU FELT A LITTLE BETTER, THE

PROBLEM WAS THE STANDING PART.

AND WHEN IT COMES TO THE

NUMBERS, INSTEAD OF -- IF YOU ARE A TRUMP SUPPORTER, COOL, BUT

MAYBE EMBRACE WHAT YOU HAVE.

YOU CAN'T SAY IT WAS THE SAME, OR OH

MY GOD, PEOPLE WERE LAZY, THEY SHOWED UP TO GET THEIR OBAMA

PHONE -- WHATEVER.

JUST SAY WE ARE GROUNDBREAKING CABAL OF

PEOPLE, WE ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS GUY IS

GOING TO DO.

EMBRACE THAT YOU HAVE A SMALL CROWD, THAT'S FINE,

JUST ACCEPT THAT NOT EVERYONE IS EXCITED ABOUT THIS GUY.

HOW FUNNY WOULD IT BE IF TOMORROW TRUMP STARTED

COMPLAINING ABOUT THE NEWS TAKING SHOTS OF THE CROWD?

ARE YOU KIDDING?

OF COURSE HE'S GOING TO.

TOTALLY.

WHILE HE WAS CAMPAIGNING AT RALLIES HE WAS

LIKE, THEY WON'T TAKE SHOTS OF THE CROWD.

NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN --

HE WILL USE THE TERM "RECORD TURNOUT" IN A TWEET TOMORROW.

I GET IT, OBAMA WAS A HISTORIC INAUGURATION, THAT'S WHAT HE

BROKE THE RECORD, TRUMP IS HISTORIC, HE'S THE FIRST ORANGE

PRESIDENT.

BUT IT'S MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, I DON'T WHY THE

RIGHT-WING IS DEFENSIVE ABOUT IT, JUST SAY WE WON THE

ELECTION.

THEY ARE NOT DEFENSIVE, TRUMP IS DEFENSIVE.

HE'S INSECURE.

HE

HATES THE FACT THAT HILLARY WON THE POPULAR VOTE BY

MILLIONS, HE HATES THE FACT THAT PEOPLE DON'T APPROVE OF HIM.

HIS APPROVAL RATINGS ARE MISERABLE.

HIS APPROVAL RATINGS ARE LOWER THAN BUSH'S AFTER KATRINA.

BUSH'S WAS 43% AFTER KATRINA, HIS OUR 40% GOING IN.

WHEN THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE AT THEIR HIGHEST.

A QUINNIPIAC POLL HAS HIM AT 37.

THE PEOPLE WHO VOTED FOR HIM DON'T EVEN APPROVE OF HIM.

20% HAVE DROPPED OFF?

NOT JUST THAT, ON THE DAY OF THE ELECTION THEY SAID WE DON'T

APPROVE OF HIM AND DON'T THINK HE'S QUALIFIED, THAT WAS 15

OR 17% OF HIS VOTERS.

THE REASON THEY CARE ABOUT THIS AND THEY ARE TRYING TO

FIGHT BACK WITH THEIR B.S. ARGUMENTS ABOUT THE CROWD BEING

BIGGER IS THAT THEY DON'T WANT THE APPEARANCE THAT THEY ARE A

TINY LITTLE ELITE GROUP WHO HAS COME IN, THEY WANT SOME OF THAT

MOVEMENT AURA THAT OBAMA HAD COMING IN, WHEN HE WAS ACTUALLY

THE LEADER OF THE MOVEMENT.

THEY KEEP SAYING THEY HAVE THIS BIG

FORCE OF REGULAR AMERICANS, THE FORGOTTEN AMERICANS, BEHIND

THEM, BUT APPARENTLY AMERICANS FORGOT TO GO TO THE

INAUGURATION.

THEY DON'T HAVE THAT MOVEMENT OR SUPPORT, BUT

THEY WANT THE IDEA OF IT SO THEY COULD RULE AS THOUGH THEY HAVE

SOME SORT OF MANDATE.

THAT'S RIGHT, TWO REASONS WHY IS THEY THINK THE SIZE OF

ANYTHING MEANS THE SIZE OF THEIR PENIS.

SO THEY ARE LIKE, BELIEVE

ME, IT'S WONDERFUL DOWN THERE.

TRUST ME, IT'S MUCH BIGGER WHEN IT'S NOT COLD OUT.

THAT IS HILARIOUS.

THE SECOND REASON IS POLICY REASONS, OBAMA DID HAVE ALL THE

PEOPLE BEHIND HIM, WHEN HE GOT INTO OFFICE HE HAD AN 84%

APPROVAL RATING, HE COULD'VE DONE ANYTHING HE WANTED, HE

COULD OF MARCH THOSE 1.8 MILLION PEOPLE ANYWHERE AND GOTTEN NOT

JUST HEALTHCARE, BUT YOU CAN GO DOWN THE LIST -- ENERGY, FREE

COLLEGE, FREE EDUCATION, CLIMATE CHANGE -- HE COULD HAVE DONE IT

ALL, BUT YOU KNOW WHAT HE DID WHEN HE WAS IN THIS TRANSITION?

HE KEPT A LOT OF THE BUSH PEOPLE IN -- THERE IS NOTHING WRONG

WITH THAT -- BECAUSE HE DIDN'T WANT ANY HOLES LEFT IN NATIONAL

SECURITY, ETC.

TRUMP MADE THE OBAMA PEOPLE, EVEN THOUGH HE HAS

NOT FILLED THOSE POSITIONS, MADE THEM LEAVE THE BUILDING.

NOW HE

IS PRETENDING HE HAS BIG CROWDS AND BIG APPROVAL RATINGS BECAUSE

HE WILL JAM EVERYTHING THROUGH EVEN THOUGH HE LITERALLY COMES

IN WITH HALF OF THE APPROVAL RATING OF OBAMA.

BUT THAT GOES

TO SHOW YOU, I'M NOT BLAMING TRUMP FOR IT -- IF I WAS A TRUMP

FAN I WOULD SAY I'M STRONG, YOU ARE NOT, I'M GOING TO DO

WHATEVER I WANT, BELIEVE ME.

IF WE HAD A PROGRESSIVE PRESIDENT

WHO IN ANY WAY LISTENS TO US, MEANING OUR AUDIENCE AND THE NEW

WAY OF DOING THINGS, I DO IT WITH 40%.

YOU GIVE ME 80 OR 60%,

WE WILL GET SOME REAL CHANGE IN THIS COUNTRY.

AND I DON'T MEAN

I'LL TALK ABOUT CHANGE AND FILL MY CABINET WITH GOLDEN SEX GUYS

WHO ARE LOOKING TO ROB YOU.

WAY.

MORE ON THE INAUGURATION AND

LOCAL REACTION TO THE SWEARING

IN OF OUR 45TH PRESIDENT IN JUST

A FEW MINUTES, BUT FIRST SOME

BREAKING NEWS.

ERIN: MANDATORY EVACUATIONS ARE

NOW IN PLACE FOR THE LOVERS LANE

COMMUNITY OF HOLLISTER AFTER A

LEVEE BREAK DOUBLED IN SIZE

ALONG THE PACHECO CREE

IT IMPACTS RESIDENTS ON LOVERS

LANE AND SAN FELIPE ROAD FROM

SHORE ROAD TO HIGHWAY 156,

ACTION NEWS REPORTER FELIX

CORTEZ IS LIVE IN HOLLISTER WITH

THE LATEST.

FELIX: I CAN TELL YOU THAT THE

FLOODWATERS ARE KNEE-DEEP IN

AREAS OF A LOVER'S LANE TONIGHT.

THE GOOD NEWS IS THE WATE

APPEARS TO BE.

FOR THE SECOND TIME IN LESS THAN

TWO WEEKS, FLOOD WATERS AGAIN

FORCING PEOPLE FROM THEIR HOMES

ON LOVERS LANE, THIS TIME THEY

GOT A WARNING.

>> THIS TIME I GOING TO HAVE TO

BECAUSE LAST TIME DIDN'T HAVE

ANY WARNING IT JUST CAME OVER

NIGHT LIKE 3AM THIS TIME THEY

LIKE LOOK PUT ANIMALS IN BACK

PORCH.

EVACUATE LET RESCUE KNOW WHERE

, THEY AT WE'RE GET THEM OUT.

THE PROBLEM IS A LEVEE BREAK

DISCOVERED MORE THAN A WEEK AGO

HAS NOW DOUBLED IN SIZE, A GAP

ROUGHLY 140 FEET IN WIDTH

SPILLING MORE FLOODWATERS INTO

THE LOVERS LANE AREA.

WHICH WAS STILL TRYING TO DRY

OUT FROM FLOODING AND

EVACUATIONS JUST OVER A WEEK

AGO.

THIS TIME ROUGHLY 20 PEOPLE HAVE

, BEEN RESCUED AND MANDATORY

EVACUATIONS NOW IN PLACE

>> MY NEIGHBOR HOUSE, THEY'RE

PUTTING SANDBAGS DOWN AND

BUILDING A WALL.

IT IS COMING OVER AND COMING

THROUGH ANY CRACKS.

WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO LAY

DOWN.

FELIX: FRUSTRATION MOUNTING AS

COUNTY LEADERS LOOK TO THE STATE

FOR EMERGENCY AID.

>> WE DON'T HAVE THE MONEY AND

GOING TO TAKE HUNDREDS OF

MILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO FIX THOSE

ISSUES OUT THERE IT'S BEEN A

PROBLEM FOR LONG TIME THE DEPT

OF FISH AND GAME IS NOT ALLOWING

AGENCIES TO GO IN AND CLEAR

BRUSH FROM RIVER AND THAT

CREATES FLOOD CONDITIONS LIKE

THIS.

FELI AS YOU CAN SEE BEHIND ME

EMERGENCY CREWS NOW STAGED ON

, LOVERS LANE, MONITORING THIS

CREEK CLOSELY.

AS I SAID EARLIER, THE WATERS DO

APPEAR TO BE RECEIVING, BUT, THE

MORE PROBLEMS.

THIS AND THAT.

LE YOU CAN SEE HOW PACHECO

CREEK CAME UP REALLY FAST HERE.

IT IS GOING TO BE GOING DOWN

OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS AND THEN

MORE RAIN COMING IN ON SATURDAY

NIGHT.

THAT IS THE NEXT POTENTIAL TIME

WHEN WE CAN SEE THIS.

AGAIN, HOW MUCH RAIDED WE HAVE?

THE BULK WAS U IN SANTA CRUZ

AND THE HILLS.

TWO INCHES IN SANTA CRUZ.

IT CAME DOWN WHEN YOU HOURS.

THAT W SOME WATERSHED AND THE

RAIN WILL COME DOWN FAST AND

THEN COME RIGHT BACK DOWN.

IT CAN HANDLE LOTS OF INCHES OF

RAIN OVER TIME BUT IT WAS A FAST

MOVER AND CAME DOWN HARD.

HALF-INCH IN MONTEREY AND THAT

IS A BIG DEAL BECAUSE WE HAD SO

MUCH RAIN.

ALMOST INCH IN KING CITY, SO WE

GET SOME RAIN DOWN IN THE SOUTH

END OF THE VALLEY WHICH THEY

NEED TO RECHARGE THE WATER DOWN

THERE IN THE GROUND.

NOT JUST THE RESERVOIRS.

TECHNICALLY LOOK AT THE DOPPLER

RADAR, WE HAVE BEEN SETTLING

DOWN ALL DAY, BUT CERTAINLY HAVE

LOTS OF SHOWERS.

THEY HAVE BEEN PRODUCING LITTLE

Isolated Incidents Of Violence At Anti-Trump Protests - Duration: 10:18.

THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE PROTESTS GOING ON IN WASHINGTON,

DC TODAY DURING DONALD TRUMP'S INAUGURATION WERE PEACEFUL,

THERE WERE ISOLATE INSTANCES OF VIOLENCE.

WE DON'T YET KNOW IF

THEY WERE ACTUALLY PROGRESSIVES OR LIBERALS OR PROVOCATEURS SENT

BY THE RIGHT-WING, BUT IF WE COULD BRING UP THE B ROLL

PICTURES, YOU WILL SEE SOME OF WHAT LOOKS LIKE IT MIGHT BE

VIOLENCE.

YOU SEE THEIR VARIOUS THINGS BEING THROWN BY POLICE

AND THINGS LIKE THAT, TRYING TO CLEAR OUT THE GROUP, YOU SEE

POLICE IN RIOT GEAR THERE --

THIS IS JUST ONE SPOT BUT THERE WERE INSTANCES LIKE THIS

IN OTHER PARTS OF DC.

I CAN'T STAND THE STUFF.

DON'T THROW THE CONE.

WHATEVER, THE WHOLE THING.

THEY COULD ACCUSE ME OF BEING

COMFORTABLE AND SAYING YOU ARE NOT OUT THERE PROTESTING -- NO,

NO.

PROTESTS, I'M IN FAVOR OF.

IN FACT I GOT ARRESTED DOING A

PROTEST WHERE WE DID CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE.

BUT I WANT AMERICA

ON OUR SIDE.

YOU START DOING ALL THIS STUFF, CAUSING VIOLENCE,

YOU ARE ONLY FEEDING INTO TRUMP'S HAND.

I DON'T GENERALLY

BELIEVE -- OF COURSE THERE IS A THING CALLED A FALSE FLAG

OPERATION, I DON'T THINK IT IS NECESSARILY GOING ON HERE, BUT

IF YOU WANTED TO PLAN A FALSE FLAG OPERATION THIS IS HOW YOU

WOULD DO IT.

IF DONALD TRUMP THOUGHT HOW CAN I GET PEOPLE ON

MY SIDE?

BY THE WAY, ALL OF THIS IS WONDERFUL, THE PICTURES YOU

ARE SEEING NOW OUR PEACEFUL PROTESTS, KINDERGARTNERS,

FAMILIES, ETC., THOSE ARE THE TESTS I WANT TO SEE.

WE HAVE AN INTERVIEW WITH ONE OF THE ORGANIZERS FOR THAT LAST

GROUP.

BUT IF YOU START DOING VIOLENCE AND BRICKING WINDOWS

AND STUFF LIKE THAT, TRUMP THINKS, YES.

UNDER THE GUISE OF

LAW AND ORDER I GET TO BOTH CRACK YOUR SKULL AND PASS LAWS

AND ETC.

TO MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO FURTHER PROTESTS WHEN I

ACTUALLY DO HIDEOUS THINGS.

TERRIBLE IDEA, YOU COULD NOT HELP HIM MORE.

NOW --

THIS WAS EARLIER IN THE DAY, THE NUMBERS COULD BE DIFFERENT

NOW, WE DON'T KNOW WHAT THE FINAL REST COUNT WILL BE,

ALTHOUGH I THINK IT'S NOTEWORTHY THAT ON THE INAUGURATION WHEN

TRUMP IS BEING BROUGHT IN ITS MUCH LOWER THAN OTHER PROTESTS

THAT WE'VE SEEN.

WE HAVE SOME QUOTES FROM SECRET SERVICE

AGENTS, ONE SAYS --

THERE ARE PROTESTS LIKE THIS AT EVERY INAUGURATION, OF

COURSE.

THERE WAS ONE FUNNY DIRECTION WHERE A PROTESTER

YELLED --

THERE WERE THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF NATIONAL GUARD AND

POLICE AND SECRET SERVICE, THEY CAN ARREST A WHOLE BUNCH OF

PEOPLE ACROSS THE SEA IF THEY WANT.

IT WASN'T LIKE THEY WERE 1 MILLION OF THEM, THERE WERE LIKE

50 OF THEM, EASILY ARRESTABLE.

AND THE COPS WERE FREED UP BY THE FACT THAT THERE WAS

BARELY ANY CROWD WATCHING TRUMP, SO THEY COULD PROTEST INSTEAD.

WE KNOW THERE WERE RIGHT-WING GROUPS LIKE PROJECT VERITAS,

WHAT'S HIS NAME, JAMES O'KEEFE AND WHATEVER, TRYING TO PAY

PEOPLE TO CAUSE TROUBLE DURING THE INAUGURATION -- THIS IS

SOMETHING RIGHT-WINGERS DO SO I WOULD NOT BE SHOCKED IF THERE

WERE PROVOCATEURS OUT THERE.

WE DON'T KNOW WHO THESE INDIVIDUALS

ARE, BUT WE KNOW ONE THING, AND THAT IS THAT THE MISSION OF TRUE

PROGRESSIVES AND LIBERALS IS A PEACEFUL ONE.

I WILL NOT MAKE

ANY USE FOR ANYONE WHO USES VIOLENCE DURING ANY OF THESE

PROTESTS, BUT I WILL SAY THIS -- I FIND IT INTERESTING WHAT THE

MEDIA'S RESPONSE IS TO PEOPLE BREAKING WINDOWS, AND HOW

QUICKLY THEY DENOUNCE THAT KIND OF VIOLENCE, WHEN SIMULTANEOUSLY

WE WILL BE BOMBARDED WITH POLICE SHOOTING VIDEOS WHERE WE WILL

SEE SOMEONE LIKE WALTER SCOTT RUNNING AWAY FROM A POLICE

OFFICER AS HE GETS SHOT SEVERAL TIMES IN THE BACK AND THAT TYPE

OF VIOLENCE DOESN'T GET DENOUNCED AS QUICKLY -- WE DON'T

HAVE ALL THE EVIDENCE YET --

WALTER SCOTT ONCE SMOKED MARIJUANA.

ISLANDS IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE IS UNACCEPTABLE, BUT THINK

ABOUT THE VIOLENCE WE ARE NOW DESENSITIZED TO, VERSUS

VANDALISM, WE ARE VERY SENSITIVE TO.

UNLIKE ALL THE PARTISANS, AND I INCLUDE THE ESTABLISHMENT, THE

MAINSTREAM MEDIA, THEIR NUMBER ONE PROBLEM IS THEY CLAIM THEY

DON'T HAVE A PERSPECTIVE OR AN OPINION, THAT'S PREPOSTEROUS.

THEIR PERSPECTIVE IS THAT OF AN ESTABLISHMENT.

PROTECT THE

STATUS QUO.

THAT IS THEIR ENORMOUS BIAS.

SO IF ANYTHING

UPSETS THE STATUS QUO THEY ARE OUTRAGED TO.

HE BROKE A

STARBUCKS WINDOW, I GO TO THAT STARBUCKS!

I HATE THAT THEY

BROKE THE WINDOW, I WILL GET BACK TO THAT IN A SECOND, BUT IF

YOU SHOT WALTER SCOTT IN THE BACK, I'M NOT WALTER SCOTT, I

WASN'T GOING TO RUN FROM A COP, I DON'T HAVE OUTSTANDING TICKETS

OR ANYTHING.

I'M NOT A POOR GUY LIVING IN SOUTH CAROLINA.

I'M NOT A 12-YEAR-OLD NAMED TAMIR RICE PLAYING WITH A TOY

GUN AT A PARK.

SO WHO GIVES A FUCK?

AND THE COPS PROTECT ME, SO THAT'S LAW AND ORDER, THAT'S THE

STATUS QUO, I LIKE THE STATUS QUO. AND TO THE PEOPLE DOING

VIOLENCE, IF YOU ARE A PROGRESSIVE, THE WHOLE POINT OF

BEING PROGRESSIVE IS NONVIOLENCE.

IF YOU SEE ANYONE

AROUND YOU DOING VIOLENCE, DO A CIRCLE, GET AROUND THEM, AND

POINT THEM OUT TO AUTHORITIES BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT WITH YOU.

THAT WAY YOU CAN ROOT OUT THE PROVOCATEURS.

NOW LET ME GO PISS

OFF A WHOLE BUNCH OF PEOPLE BUT THAT'S OKAY BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL

TROLLS, BOTH IF THEY THINK THEY ARE ON THE LEFT, EXTREME LEFT,

OR CERTAINLY PLENTY OF THE RIGHT, WHICH IS, THE ANARCHISTS

ARE THE ORIGINAL TROLLS.

WHO CARES ABOUT ORDER, LET'S MESS UP

THE ORDER?

I'M JUST GOING TO MESS WITH PEOPLE, BUT I'M NOT

GOING TO SOLVE ANYTHING.

WHAT DO I CARE ABOUT SOLVING ANYTHING, I

DON'T WANT TO BE PRODUCTIVE, IN FACT LET'S BE COUNTERPRODUCTIVE.

BAH!

THAT'S A DIRECT QUOTE.

BAH!

THE ALT-RIGHT IS THE SAME THING, LET'S JUST BREAK THINGS,

WE HAVE TO BE PRODUCTIVE.

THE ALT-RIGHT AND ANARCHISTS MUST

LOVE EACH OTHER, I'M SURPRISED THEY HAVEN'T GOTTEN TOGETHER AND

DONE ORGIES YET.

BECAUSE THEY ARE SO STUPIDLY UNPRODUCTIVE.

YOU KNOW WE WANT IN ORDER TO GET REAL CHANGE?

MOMS, SMALL

BUSINESS OWNERS, REAL AMERICANS, AND BY THAT I MEAN EVERYBODY, I

DON'T MEAN WHAT REPUBLICANS THINK, A WHITE FARMER FROM IOWA

IS A REAL AMERICAN BUT A GAY PERSON FROM SAN FRANCISCO IS AN

ALIEN -- NO, I MEAN ALL WALKS OF LIFE AT THOSE PROTESTS SO YOU

CAN WIN AND GET REAL CHANGE INSTEAD OF GETTING YOUR ROCKS

OFF PERTAINING TO BE ALT-LEFT OR ALT-RIGHT OR WHATEVER YOU

THINK YOU ARE.

WE ARE BEING FAIR BY COVERING THIS, WE ARE SORT OF GOING OUT

OF HER WAY TO FIND INSTANCES THAT LOOK BAD, THEY BROKE A

WINDOW, THAT'S BAD AND I'M AGAINST IT, I SHARE THE SAME

PHILOSOPHY OF PROTESTS BEING NONVIOLENT, BUT CONSIDERING THE

UNIQUE THREAT THAT DONALD TRUMP POSES I THINK HE GOT OFF PRETTY

EASY WITH THE PROTESTS HERE.

WITH HIS VIEW ON THE FACT THAT

WE ARE FAR TOO RESTRICTIVE IN OUR USE OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS AND

MAYBE WE SHOULD JUST RENEGE ON OUR FOREIGN DEBTS, AND MAYBE I

WILL CHANGE THE TAX CODE AND CRIPPLE GENERATIONS OF AMERICANS

AND GET RID OF PUBLIC EDUCATION, I WILL FILL THE WHITE HOUSE WITH

WHITE SUPREMACISTS, THAT WILL BE FUN -- CONSIDERING THE UNIQUE

THREAT HE POSES TO EVERY LEVEL OF AMERICAN SOCIETY, HE'S LUCKY

HE DIDN'T HAVE MILLIONS MARCHING ON THE WHITE HOUSE TODAY.

IT'S

UNFORTUNATE THAT HE DIDN'T, THICKLY TOMORROW WILL BE A

MASSIVE DAY OF PROTEST AND MARCHES, THE MOST HIGH-PROFILE

IS THE WOMEN'S MARCH IN DC AND CITIES IN THE U.S. AND AROUND

THE WORLD, BUT IF A COUPLE OF STARBUCKS WINDOWS GOT

BROKEN THAT IS THE LEAST THEY SHOULD EXPECT.

ONE LAST THING, ANOTHER SHOT AT THE CORPORATE MEDIA,

DEMOCRACY SPRING HAD MORE PEOPLE ARRESTED THAN THERE'S BEEN

ARRESTED TODAY.

THAT IS WHAT I WAS ALLUDING TO.

143 PEOPLE ARRESTED AT THE CAPITOL, THAT'S A RECORD,

HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED AT THE CAPITOL PROTESTING

GETTING MONEY OUT OF POLITICS BUT WE DIDN'T BREAK ANY WINDOWS.

WE WERE GOOD AMERICANS, WE DID PROTESTS EXACTLY THE RIGHT WAY,

SO THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA WAS LIKE, I CAN'T SMEAR YOU SO IT'S

NOT FUN.

IF YOU ACTUALLY -- IF YOU DID ANYTHING SLIGHTLY WRONG,

IF YOU DID JAYWALKING, I CAN COME OUT AND MAKE FUN OF YOU AND

CRITICIZE YOU, I COULD SAY LOOK AT THESE DIRTY PEOPLE TRYING TO

CHANGE THE SYSTEM.

IF THEY COULD DO THAT -- LOOK WHAT THEY DID

TODAY WITH TWO BROKEN WINDOWS.

I ASKED SOMEONE IN THE

ESTABLISHMENT MEDIA IF WE WERE VIOLENT WOULD YOU HAVE COVERED

IT?

ABSOLUTELY.

YOU KNOW IT. AND IF WE WERE THE TEA PARTY AND 143

PEOPLE IN THE TEA PARTY GOT ARRESTED IN ONE DAY, BROKE THE

RECORD FOR CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE AT THE CAPITOL, WOULD YOU HAVE

COVERED IT?

HE WAS LIKE, WE DEFINITELY WOULD HAVE.

IF YOU

ARE THE RIGHT WING AND WANT TO PROTECT THE ESTABLISHMENT YOU

WILL GET COVERED, IF YOU ARE LEFT-WING AND COUNTERPRODUCTIVE

TO CHANGE, WE WILL COVER IT.

BUT IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT CHANGE, YOU

ARE DOING THINGS THE RIGHT WAY?

NOT INTERESTING.

How Does Practical Permaculture Food Forest Work ? (The Way Of Nature) - Duration: 11:39.

Growing Food Naturally - Discover how does A Practical Permaculture Food Forest Work?

guys no just thanks Jasper and thank the

opportunity of I've come in here and

have a conversation I hope it's really

been a conversation I have a little few

slides to sort of set the scene and

interesting enough it sort of firm

relates back to the first speaker and

what you were saying about currents and

new zealand position in the world and

that's something i want to look at it

from a agricultural point of view i

really want to look at some what would

be a sustainable and resilient

agriculture and has to relate to the

place that sin and and then I just want

to have a little bit of that are quite

different way of doing agriculture so

this is going to be very different than

what we've just been hearing about

starting to look at this globe here you

notice we are in the world that's half

the world and mostly Pacific Ocean and

we have this large piece of land miss

really largely and miss stuck in the

middle of nowhere in that big ocean and

that's very critical to to the nature of

this place and where it is and so one of

the first things is it has sort of right

being in mid-latitudes it's a the

temperate climate country very long

across some latitude so it's quite

variable that's a lot of variation in

the New Zealand environment as well and

be easier and landscape and that has a

lot of meaning in terms of agriculture

because agriculture has to be later to

say to a place in the nature of this

place so if it's called a variable place

in our culture should be quite variable

as well so i'm actually going to talk

about one topic agriculture that might

be suitable and I'm not going to assign

science the only one the really

important point is that relates to the

place your hand and so I have these big

changes between summer and winter was

very seasonal but unlike in Europe our

seasons are very variable as well and

because we're stacking as big ocean of

swirls around water in water

it's very changeable and so the ones and

so what I wonder is a very brief little

story about what news in place in the

world others so we start that need to

read up to match the about the geology

we're on the string of far

around the Pacific so this slice of

actually continental material that stuck

down between entire canister Leo and if

you look at them for other Whitey stuff

in that love that down there that's all

continental material actually a

continent museum but mostly under the

water and we go up and down a lot

because they're on this stick tonic

plate boundary so I have these uplifted

mountains and it's very fresh shit and

broken rock and they have very intense

rain falls come to in a minute as well

so we have these rapid mountains to see

rivers and and then their environment is

is this sort of shaky islands bring

mountainous free with watery country

that we live in and so we just go to the

next one this is a this is not quite as

good i don't forget his grandma says Lou

hear some terms of his dynamics but this

is the same circulation around

Antarctica around all the oceans of the

world to link them together and that

circulation Antarctic and how it changes

as it's really important to our climate

along with the big circulation in the

South Pacific

so I got these big circulations that the

can i meet together we have the warm

coming down from the top and mineral and

cool water up from the bottom that's why

a very productive season around easier

and in fact we do very little about our

marine environment in terms of marine

farming and it's not actually farmington

Xu family we rob the oceans really that

s another another topic so we're going

to it but we are in this basically very

watery things influenced by by the ocean

circulation and the ones as well around

them what I want to show here though is

that time you know we might think we're

all right with the climate change net

but we have mid-latitude mid-latitude

means maximum change employment not the

power stay cold in the tropics day heart

and then letter to change the most so

pretty 10,000 years ago that little

diagram a new zealand here trying to

show you where basically to the

grassman's nice sort of 200 canada

canadian tundra lend ok trees had to

really retreat

hey and I've already vegetated since and

over a period of time of the diversified

again i come back from the little

refuges and recolonize the lane but what

it does mean that under our present

climate and circumstances where

basically a foreign country that's the

natural cover of the slain that guy's

for various evolutionary historical

theological reasons as well in terms of

how we came to be we are many developers

very different type of forest

we're actually a rainforest very

temperate rainforest unusual rainforest

and and out for us and not only build a

great amount of biomass and diversity in

the forest itself but they also

developed nutrients and nutrient stores

in the soil and that's very unusual for

rain for us so we have this really

record bro remember remarkable forest as

a natural forest environment and then

long can people and you know the story

what happens when people come so we

we've had somebody mentioned earlier we

were basically country of recent

immigrants and clean Polynesian both

Polynesian European pretty recent and

we've both done a lot of damage to our

forests and that's this is these clear

scientists look at the pollen counts and

find out where things are on it

there's a bit of natural changes will

tomorrow is an active volcano and our

ups every so often you know it does so

you can do so pretty much behave and

destroyed a lot of forest in the middle

of the North Island which were naturally

we vegetate in the time then people came

into this country and started cutting on

putting them down again so we have this

sort of forested land and for one reason

or another whether was trying to chase

morrow or where that was trying to make

brecon grow which is not a variable

thing but you can eat it or wear that

was trying to make mother England habits

dairy and beef and shape we've been the

forest

and I have to end up to them my

grandfather built the frost to i come

from a farming background my appearance

or she can be farmers and walks by and I

pretty penny relative still farming and

my grandfather put a match to a huge lot

of forest so I you know we've all we're

all done that sort of stuff but what

should we do about it

I mean so I just want to be very briefly

on a few comments about what might be a

alternative way of doing agriculture

this forest had come to you naturally

fast lane

the other thing about this mean this is

a just a picture of you know see the

mountains for the camera just to make

the point and reports also be made huge

lot of introduced species engine from

NZXT to mammals to plants all sorts of

nature of things have been introduced

introduced into a very different

ecosystems and so we have this real

mixed bag now where I come from is well

where do we go from here

I mean that's where and so all these

creatures are here all these trees are

here we can grow apples and pears hear

that come from zero and obviously not

but they go extremely well he so from

permaculture point of view if we're

trying to look at what's appropriate

this place but also what the resources

that are here now and what we can make

use of then what would be the top of

their culture that we might have that

azz brazilian and productive and so this

is where the side of food forests but

it's sort of a horseshoe shape and

that's the sort of the template that we

developed originally around how to do a

food for us because I think Matthew talk

about ages and the dynamics of Ages at

the beginning the most productive part

of a forest exige it's imagine imagine

between the middle and all the sort of

herbaceous in the the little strawberry

and then the bigger trees and up to your

big bigger trees and

that's where nature is really productive

because it's the gazette growth phase

and effect what we're suggestion is is

it is a management I mean all

agriculture involved some management of

the natural environment that you know

when it bothers you that we are part of

nature environment as well and if you're

going to use their intelligence in the

right way we might better work with

their next one would be a natural

organism and produce a more productive

environment which can feed ourselves as

well as the birds and the bees and

that's what this is about so this is the

template to the north as the open here

with Miller's bacterial counts more back

into the forest area back in the morph

angle lens soils behind and then that's

own you can have a huge diversity and so

the main thing about diversity is really

is the resilience of the whole system

and so just seems that cooking through

quickly this is example just talks about

this is a block of land in the valley

it had four products for grazing 2010

that photograph was taken but all those

colored dots that the colors represent

different things like whether they're

not so with that up fruit or Stanford or

citrus or whether their shelter or

nutrient accumulation trees or whatever

they are a lot of different guilds and

the gills of things that like to to live

together these trees like it together

and so what we're trying to do here is

demonstrate and a commercial level a

type of forest space agriculture that

will produce far more produce in that

area and the neighbor that grazing did

it will be family resilient to droughts

and storms and floods and whatever

climate change the might be in it and

still there come you know so it's an

attempt to demonstrate a forest beta

cultures unit are now there's a are laid

out the that's what I thought with the

main points about forest space / culture

2017 Lexus GS200t Review : Less power for less money - Duration: 3:58.

When the Lexus GS arrived in the early 1990s—the original Giugiaro-designed one—its mission

was to challenge the reigning mid-size luxury sedans from Audi, BMW, Jaguar, and Mercedes-Benz.

Accordingly equipped with a choice of V-6 or V-8 engines, the second-generation model

made such a convincing case that it won 10Best Cars accolades for three years running (1998

through 2000).

It has been some time, though, since we could rank the GS at the top of the field.

The current, fourth-generation GS is in its fifth year of production and finds itself

squaring off against a Mercedes-Benz E-class and a Jaguar XF that were new in 2016, an

Audi A6 that was facelifted last year, and an all-new 2017 BMW 5-series.

Lexus isn't standing still, though.

For its 2016 midlife refresh, Lexus added the value-priced base model tested here with

a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 241 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of

torque.

That engine gives the newest GS variant a direct match for the 500-cc-per-cylinder fours

that most of the European brands now have in equivalent models.

The tail badge says GS200t, although the marketers call it the GS Turbo because, well, because

Lexus marketers never had a turbo before, and it comes at a starting price that leaves

some breathing room below $50,000, something you won't find if you shop mid-size premium

sedans at the German stores.

Green t

In turbo 2.0-liter rear-drive form, the GS's direct alternatives narrow to the BMW, the

Mercedes-Benz, and the Cadillac CTS.

The base Audi A6 and the Volvo S90 are front-wheel drive, and the Jaguar XF's four-cylinder

is a 180-hp turbo-diesel.

The Cadillac's turbocharged four is the outlier here, leading the pack with 268 horsepower,

while the others cluster near 240.

With the only available transmission being a paddle-shifted eight-speed automatic, the

GS200t zipped from zero to 60 mph in 6.6 seconds at the test track.

We saw 60 mph in 6.5 seconds in the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E300 with 4MATIC, while the CTS 2.0T did it

in 6.2 and the A6 2.0T Quattro in 6.1.

The BMW 528i needed only 5.9 seconds, but it's being replaced for 2017.

Note that the Benz and the Audi were all-wheel-drive cars, an option Lexus reserves for the six-cylinder

GS350.

While it's clearly not the quickest, the Lexus doesn't feel inordinately slow.

As long as the boost is up, it's torquey enough to feel peppy moving its 3869 pounds

in routine driving situations.

Only at higher speeds does the drivetrain falter—and then only when you need to accelerate

quickly.

It takes a moment for the eight-speed to find the right gear and tap into the engine's

powerband, requiring that the driver plan ahead for a two-lane passing maneuver.

This is not atypical for sedans this large with a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder.

The payoff is improved fuel economy: We measured 24 mpg in our testing, below its EPA combined

rating of 26 mpg but much better than the 19 and 20 mpg we've measured in tests of

the GS350.

Where this car excels is in its easygoing demeanor.

The GS200t glides along, unperturbed by pavement irregularities, yet it remains composed on

a challenging road.

Aside from a little body roll, its chassis measures up in this field, returning a solid

0.86 g on the skidpad.

The GS also stopped from 70 mph in 173 feet, a good but not outstanding performance for

this class.

For those seeking to amp up the driving fun, Lexus offers an F Sport version of the GS

Turbo.

It brings a tauter suspension and a lot of other features but adds $7670 to the price,

which puts it within $1000 of the $55,785 sticker on a GS350 F Sport with the stronger

311-hp V-6.

Still Searching

Lexus designers seem to be grasping for ways to make their infotainment controls distinctive,

without much success in making them functional.

There's a clumsy touchpad in the NX crossover, while in some older designs such as this GS,

Lexus still employs a vague and inconsistent floating controller on the center console

that continues to frustrate.

It's like a poorly made version of the joysticks on the portable Sony PlayStation and demands

too much attention to be a viable control option while driving—this is a case where

Lexus would do well to follow some competitors who have replaced or augmented their similarly

awkward remote controllers with touchscreen activation.

The 12.3-inch multimedia screen that comes as part of the $1730 Navigation package, though,

is well organized and gorgeous, and it offers split-screen viewing.
