Oklahoma Senator Puts Forth Most Discriminatory Bill In Recent History - Duration: 3:49.
According to an article on ThinkProgress, in the year 2016, the state of Oklahoma broke
a record with the amount of anti-LGBT legislation that that state put forward, and sure enough
2017 is already shaping up to be even worse than 2016.
State senator, Joseph Silk has put forward legislation in the state of Oklahoma to put
a complete stop to any further anti-LGBT legislation.
He's done that with the most discriminatory bill imaginable because the way that this
particular bill by Joseph Silk is written, the language in it is so ambiguous that it
gives anyone in the state of Oklahoma the right to discriminate against anyone else.
Specifically it says that if their lifestyle, their beliefs go against your own, as a business
owner, you do not have to provide your goods or services to those people if anything they
do is against anything you believe.
While it is meant to discriminate against bakers who do not want to make cakes for gay
weddings, what it really does is gives business owners the ability to discriminate literally
against anyone.
Say for example you're not white, well that goes against what they like so they can discriminate
against you.
You can't shop at our store anymore.
You can go even further than that, we don't want to sell anything to women, it goes against
what we like so no women are allowed in our shop, and it's legal under this legislation.
You can even go further than that, as ThinkProgress points out.

What Senator Silk doesn't understand is that when you write a piece of legislation you
kind of have to be specific, and I know that Senator Silk was trying to make it ambiguous
so he didn't come across as being this hate-monger, which he is, but you have opened the door
for anyone in Oklahoma to legally hate anyone else and get away with it.
To discriminate against anyone that they don't like.
Perhaps it's somebody that wasn't super nice to you in high school, well guess what?
Now I don't have to sell you insurance through my insurance company.
This is retaliatory, this is juvenile, this is 1700's ways of thinking here, Senator Silk.
Is that what you want to do to the state of Oklahoma?
Is that really what you want your state to be known for?
Oklahoma, the state of hate, because that's where you're headed.
Again, this legislation has just been proposed, it has not passed yet, but as ThinkProgress
says, 2016, this state put forth more anti-LGBT legislation than any other state in this country.
There really is, at this point, no reason to think that Senator Silk's ass-backwards
legislation will not be signed into law.

Hello everyone, I hope you're all well, this
is just going to be a chatty catch up
video today because I feel like
Christmas and new year everything was
getting a bit out of hand
so I thought it would be nice to this take things
down a little bit, have a little bit of a chat
and I've got Chip with me today and i'm
drinking some really nice decaf coffee and
that Will got me for Christmas whichis really
nice
it's called like the Decadent Decaf
coffee Company and that was really sweet, he got me
a couple of different types for part of my
Christmas present because he knows that
I've given up caffeine but I love coffee
I love the taste of it, I used to have filtered
coffees all the time so he's got me
some special decaf stuff. I did a detox
thing last january where I gave up
alcohol, coffee, sugar and like just try
to be really healthy and the biggest
improvement I saw to my mood was giving
up caffeine, cause I used to drink a lot, I used to drink
like a cup like this as I was getting ready in
the morning and then I'd get to work and get
like a starbucks coffee every morning I
would do that and then often I would have another
starbucks in the afternoon as well it was
getting, it was getting ridiculous so just decaf
for me now! Feel free to join me and

I hope if you celebrate Christmas that you
had a really good Christmas or had a
good break had a good new year and I did...
that sounded like I was really unsure I don't know
why it came out like that! I did have a
really good Christmas and a nice new
year, for Christmas we were Will's mum's
house and for new year we were at my parents'
At the end december though I was feeling
just really like, I feel like everything
caught up with me I was drinking so much
and just going out all the time and
there came a point for like maybe the
week before Christmas and then the week between
Christmas and new year and perhaps the first week of
January, so like a three-week period of just
feeling really kind of overwhelmed and I
kept feeling low at various points
not constatnly, but it was just getting
a little bit...like I think I needed that new
year
I needed that fresh start. I've got my
detox thing again this year, I'm doing
Dry January, that's what we call it in
the UK if you don't drink for January
it's kind of thing a lot of people do. So i'm
going to do Dry January and also dry
February this year
and just see how I feel because I think
when I'm hungover, like the day after I've
been drinking like it never is a nice
feeling, not just being hungover but
mentally I don't enjoy it so I think I
need to start taking control I just I
just when I drink I can't stop that's my
problem. So I'm just going to like do a couple
of months, I'm not going to be completely
dry there's gonna be a couple of days where
I drink so I think this will help me do it
for longer if I say on these specific datse
I'll drink so we've got our anniversary
coming up, I'll have a glass of wine with
dinner then, that kind of thing so we'll
see how we go this year. I've been
thinking a lot about my channel recently
because I started this two years ago on
New Year's Day two years ago
that I uploaded my first video and I
just got started doing it and just like
thought I'd see where it would take me, I didn't
really have very much planned, I mean I
did do a lot of thinking about it and
researching before I uploaded the video
I spent ages doing all the artwork
and trying to work out what my brand was
going to be, but you until you start you
just don't really have any idea and now
it's been going for a couple of years I feel like
I've got to a point where I need to
really think about it again like now I
need to reassess and think, I've done all
these videos
what do I actually want to do going
forward? Where do I want my channel to go?
What kind of branding do I wantto
have? I dunno it all sounds a bit silly. So I've
seen a couple of other people do this and
I think this is a really good idea, so I've
got a survey in the description box
underneath this video just to ask you
what kind of stuff you like watching on my
channel, what videos you like what you
want to see more of, just some various things
if you want it fll iit in and that would be
fantastic because you know, your thoughts
are obviously appreciated because you're the
people that watch it! I think it's quite
hard actually sometimes to work out how
people consume the
creation you've made...'creation'
that's pretty wanky isn't it? But I make
things because I like them
it's hard to know what other people like
watching so yeah, if you do you want
to fill that in, that would be fab
or if you can't be bothered to fill in a whole thing
then just comment below this video the
stuff you like and stuff you want to see, I am easy
either way. Something thatIi have found
and I wonder if there's anybody else who's a
creator watching this gets the same
thing is that I feel like I have so many
ideas, I always want to do a series of
things like I started my Shakespeare
series last year and I've done two videos
for it like I have loads planned, I
have ideas I just haven't actually sat
down to film it because you know, I work
full time and it is hard to keep up with
the output of videos because I do monthly
thing so every January or every February I have
to talk about what books I've been
reading, there's nothing wrong with that
but it means that you're doing a
specific schedule every month then
you lose space in your upload timetable
to do other stuff and it starts
getting a bit stressful trying to get
things done, so I need to be on that a
little bit more and I'm sorry for
that, I know Page to Screen got really
late last year, I just didn't do it I had
about two or three planned that I just didn't do
because I spent so long doing my Moby
Dick like...! and no one even watched it
but there's stuff I want to do I have so
many ideas and it's just I'm just not
doing them
like it took me ages today, even today it's
taken me about four hours to
sit down and do this video I just kept putting it off
and just that's what I need to like
kick out of myself
I think we're all guilty of it aren't we?
but just, argh, I annot myself so much I
so I need to stop rambling now I think
these videos always go on so much
longer the I intend because I just like word
vomit at the camera
but as always I love talking to you in

Does it work with my camera and a grip attached?
Absolutely, I think what I've seen is
that photographers and users have gone
confused, they've tried to attach the
crab, i.e. lobster clamp, in this section
here. If you want to do that, if you want
to attach it to this portion you would
have to use the safety tether and put
this portion here if you choose to, but
if you want to still use the rapid-fire
plate for your tripod use also, you have
to clamp it on here
notice how it fits perfectly and then
you use your lobster claw, here goes and
see? hold it perfectly. I'll show you how
it hangs on the side, it's really
comfortable and again this is a very
popular grip-camera combination, the 7D
Mark II with the BGE 16 grip. I'll show

গঠিত হয় যার প্রধান ছিলেন ফখরুদ্দীন
আহমদ এবং সেনাপ্রধান ছিলেন লেফটেন্যান্ট
জেনারেল (পরে জেনারেল হিসেবে অবসর নেন)
মঈন উদ্দিন আহমেদ।
১২ জানুয়ারি উপদেষ্টা পরিষদ নাম্নী একটি
মন্ত্রীসভা গঠিত হওয়ার পর সরকারের
পক্ষ থেকে দেশের শীর্ষ রাজনীতিবিদ
ও ব্যবসায়ীদের বিরুদ্ধে দূর্নীতির অভিযোগ
মামলা দায়ের করা হয়।
৭ মার্চ, ২০০৭ তারিখে একটি দূর্নীতি মামলার
আসামী হিসেবে তারেক রহমানকে তার ঢাকা
ক্যান্টমেন্টস্থ মইনুল রোডের বাসা
থেকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়।
তার বিরুদ্ধে আরও ১৩টি দূর্নীতির মামলা
দায়ের করা হয় ও তাকে বিচারের সম্মুখীন
করা হয়।
আটকাবস্থায় শারীরিক নির্যাতনের অভিযোগ
গ্রেপ্তারের কিছুদিন পর তারেককে আদালতে
হাজির করা হলে তার শারীরিক অবস্থার
অবনতির জন্য তার আইনজীবিরা আদালতে
অভিযোগ করেন যে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদের সময়ে তারেক রহমানের
উপর শারীরিক নির্যাতন চালানো হয়েছে।
আদালতের নির্দেশে চিকিৎসকদের একটি
দল পরীক্ষা-নীরিক্ষার পর আদালতকে জানায়
যে তারেক রহমানের উপর শারীরিক নির্যাতনের
অভিযোগ যুক্তিযুক্ত।
এই পর্যায়ে আদালত রিমান্ডে নেয়ার
আদেশ শিথিল করে তা কমিয়ে ১ দিন ধার্য
করেন ও জিজ্ঞাসাবাদকারীদের সাবধানতা অবলম্বনের
আদেশ দেন।
এরপর তাকে ঢাকা কেন্দ্রীয় কারাগারের পরিবর্তে
ঢাকার শাহবাগস্থ বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর
রহমান মেডিকেল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় হাসপাতালে স্থানান্তর
করা হয়।
২৫ আগস্ট, ২০০৭ তারিখে খবর ছড়িয়ে পড়ে
যে তারেক রহমান তার হাসপাতাল কক্ষে পা
পিছলে পড়ে গিয়ে আহত হয়েছেন।
এতে দেশের বিভিন্ন স্থানে বিক্ষোভ দেখা
দেয়, বিশেষ করে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়,
চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়, রাজশাহী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়,
ঢাকা কলেজ ও ময়মনসিংহ মেডিকেল কলেজে বিক্ষোভ
ছড়িয়ে পড়ে।
মুক্তিলাভ ২০০৮ এর আগস্টে তারেক
রহমানের বিরুদ্ধে মামলাগুলো আদালতে
গতি লাভ করে।
প্রায় আঠারো মাস কারান্তরীণ থাকার
পর ৩ সেপ্টেম্বর, ২০০৮ তারিখে সবগুলো
মামলায় তারেক রহমানের জামিন লাভ করেন ও
বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান মেডিকেল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়
হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় মুক্তি
লাভ করেন।
তারেক রহমানের বিরুদ্ধে দূর্নীতির অভিযোগগুলো
এই মুহুর্তে জাতীয় রাজনৈতিক অঙ্গনে
বিতর্কের কেন্দ্রবিন্দুতে পরিণত হয়ে আছে।
কোন কোন রাজনৈতিক বিশ্লেষক সন্দেহ
পোষণ করেছেন তারেক রহমানের বিরুদ্ধে
দূর্নীতির অভিযোগ অনেকাংশেই রাজনৈতিক
উদ্দেশ্য-প্রণোদিত।
