hi this is Jennifer from Tarle speech and language with your pronunciation

question today's question is how do I say the word silent which is an

adjective that means no sound or no talking or speaking let's take a look at

the word the word is spelled s IL E N T you are going to have two beats or

syllables in the word sigh and lunt this first part of the word uh sounds

exactly like the word sigh (sigh)to just kind of let your air out um so this word is s

and I long I sigh so to say this start with the tip of your tongue behind your

top front teeth it is not touching and keep that air moving out of your mouth

move to that I vowel by opening your mouth and then smiling sigh then move to the

next syllable lunt touch the tip of your tongue uh to the back of your top front

teeth for that L sound add the very short u sound the short U and then end

with the NT this is a little bit tricky touch the tip of your tongue to the back

of your top front teeth for the N the air is going to move out of your nose

NNN now pull your tongue down and away from your teeth and let the air puff out

of your mouth T NNN T so sigh lunt silent let's give it a try

silent silent silent speak up don't be silent give it a try I know people are
