Hey, everyone, this is Mohit Devda here and today I am going to talk about the new flagship
competitor of 2017 i.e.
Nokia's Flagship Smartphone Nokia 8 and it will be competing with the smartphones like
- Samsung galaxy S8, Google Pixel 2, iPhone 8 and more.
So let's get started.
As you probably know, Nokia has unveiled 3 smartphones till now and from the launch of
those 3, there were rumors related to the upcoming flagship by Nokia.
It was supposed to be called Nokia 9 and I made a whole video about all the rumors related
to Nokia 7,8 and 9.
But finally, it is heard that the Flagship will be called Nokia 8 and it is expected
to be launched on 16th August.
So, Let's start with the Design Leaks of the Nokia 8.
Few days before, an image of the upcoming Nokia's flagship was leaked and following
that leaked image, a screenshot of the Nokia's official website appeared on the internet
which confirmed the design of the Nokia 8.
So, the design looks good and the Nokia 8 features a metal body along with the dual
camera setup at the back.
It will be available in different colors as the recently leaked images have shown the
Gold color variant of the device and these images give a good idea of the Nokia 8 design.
This unit can be a pre-production unit as there is no Zeiss logo at the back as was
in the previously leaked image and the Nokia 8 is supposed to come with the Zeiss optics,
as recently, Nokia has also posted a video showing their collaboration with Zeiss.
The images of the golden color variant show the Nokia 8 in its full glory and a few deductions
can be made from that.
First of all, against all the speculations, the Nokia 8 will not be a bezel-less device
which is a bad thing from the design point of view but a good thing for the durability
factor.
There is a fingerprint scanner at the front just like the other Nokia smartphones launched
till now and the headphone jack is also present at the top.
The front facing camera is at the left with the Nokia branding at the right and at the
bottom, you get a USB type-c port and the speaker grill.
There are no curved edges like the Samsung flagship smartphones and the device will come
with a 2.5D curved glass with Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
So, this is all about the design of the Nokia 8 for now and let me know if you like the
design of the Nokia 8 or not in the comments below.
Now, let's have a look at the expected specifications of this Nokia's first flagship smartphone.
According to what is known so far, Nokia 8 will sport a 5.3-inch display with 2K resolution.
It might come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa Core Processor with 4 or 6 GB of RAM
and 64 GB of Internal storage.
Just like the previous devices, it will also come with the latest version of pure stock
Android i.e.
Android Nougat and will offer support for dual sim cards also.
As the dual camera setup is confirmed from the design leaks, it is expected to feature
13-megapixel rear cameras with Carl Zeiss optics and a 13-megapixel front facing Camera.
The Nokia 8 is expected to be priced at EUR 589 which is around 45000 INR and that is
not a bad price at all considering the price of other flagship smartphones like - Samsung
Galaxy S8, iPhone 7 Plus and more.
Now, talking about its release date, Nokia or say, HMD Global has sent media invites
for an event on 16th August in London which hints that the launch of Nokia 8 is close.
So, what you guys think about this new Nokia device,
let me know in the comment section below.
