another day another new announcement from Lego this one's actually pretty
cool they're doing another short animated non-canonical spin-off from the
Jurassic world this one's called Jurassic world legend
of Isla Nublar and it's a direct sequel to the two-part one that they did just
recently called Lego Jurassic world the secret exhibit
and they've announced four new sets to go with this theme I'm gonna get
straight into this one which introduces a dinosaur a type of dinosaur that a lot
of people have wanted to see it's the Baryonyx now it is a classic style
classic styled and probably anatomically still not entirely correct but
recognizable Baryonyx pre feathered days so you know just the toy industry in
general and the kids story industry in general has has not gotten to the point
of of accepting feathering because just so much material has been made over the
past century or so that teaches kids that dinosaurs were scaling eventually
the industry will catch up but for now we get this and I think it looks really
cool I'm really looking forward to getting that myself it's you know
something different in something that we've needed from Lego for a while in my
opinion and this one is designed straight off the version that they did
in the secret exhibit little two-port two-part miniseries so this set is
called Baryonyx face off the treasure hunt comes with 434 pieces and will sell
for $60 u.s. so the press depart ratio is not ideal there but I actually think
that is a a very very reasonable price when you consider what you get here
because dinosaurs from Lego and just generally animals and especially
multi-part animals always cost a whole lot more than just regular pieces comes
with Owen Claire Danny Niedermayer who is Dennis Nedry 'he's basically
doppelganger cousin and then Sinjin Prescott
I'm not familiar with myself plus the dog is named red it's Owens dog red who
is in a different color in a different color scheme that we've gotten before
from Lego comes with a bunch of little treasure bits that you can find in a
treasure chest in the little terrain build there and I think that the Jeep
looks really good as well nice color scheme a little bit a little bit messy
but in a good way it's supposed to be you know it's not trying to look all
clean and new I think it looks like a nice build looks nice and rough and
tumble and looks like it should be able to hold actually at least two figures up
front and at least one in the back and then you also get the open a bowl small
camper that you can pull along a little trailer there next up is Dilophosaurus
on the loose interestingly this introduces yet
another new dinosaur mold and it's a single mold this time around Lego has
done that laughs a soros style office or I in the past obviously you know they've
done multiple color schemes on them and here they've made a new one that is just
smaller I never would have expected them to do another dialogue but they have
here I don't mind it but it's it's intended to look like I suppose a
younger version of the the only be forceful ones that were made for the
Jurassic Park world still has the frills on the back of the neck and is still you
know just it's a made it's a mostly made up thing here but I still think it's
cool to get yet another different dinosaur this set is going to have 168
pieces and costs $20 in the US which again I think is in the range of
reasonability especially when you consider that it does include an actual
animal that maybe this one could have been like a dollar cheaper I think to
make it well priced this one comes with Owen
Hudson Harper and a park worker the main build is a quadcopter Lego is really
really loving those quad copters it really feels like the company suddenly
recognized or or realized just maybe a year ago that quad copters exist and
they're really popular and now they're like oh wow
these things actually are out there and people like them we should make lots and
lots of them so they've created another quadcopter here this one with a net
shooter in the middle that uses the old-style not the new style
interestingly enough mostly for for structural reasons I believe so you're
supposed to try to use that and go in net the small dialog and then this also
has that nice merchandise stand which it's probably my favorite thing in this
set it's a nice-looking little build it looks very appropriate for the setting
it makes a good use of space I would say and it comes with a couple of hats that
you could you know swap on to your figures who already have their hair
pieces plus you get some printed pieces and some pieces that you put stickers on
so I think it's pretty good stuff here next triceratops rampage 447 pieces here
for $60 u.s. I think this one is the the farthest away from being a good deal the
last time that they did a try sort Triceratops was some years ago I've been
waiting for another one from them this one has a new unique color scheme I
think if I were if I recall correctly the last set that had one of these from
the Dino line was also extraordinarily expensive for the size of the set and
for the number of pieces so I'm not surprised here but I do wish this one
was a little bit cheaper this one comes with Owen
Simon Master Ani who's still around at this time
Allisyn miles and one random tourist figure this one uses some of the
relatively new plate gear pieces to create a ride that actually works
it's the Jurassic world egg spinner right we also get some looks like light
flesh colored eggs which I believe will be the first time for that color very
useful you know they just look like natural chicken eggs just super large
but definitely a color that needed to be made there will be a remote mechanism I
believe to make this work I actually really like the fence here because it's
a very sensible thing as an action feature of being able to to break it
down but to reset it you just move the pole back up which totally
makes sense you can actually play with the Tyrannosaurus there have it charging
towards the thing just jump up you know physically you don't even have to use
your imagination physically jump up with it land down on the fence and it will
collapse for you which is great that's that's the that's the very satisfying
bit of destruction that a lot of kids want to have you know we you really see
the things collapse and you make it happen
yourself but then it's easy to put it back and it looks like it's going to
look pretty realistic even when it's you know when it's in its full form so I
think it's just a great I was going to say compromise but not a compromise just
a great combination of play value and display value together l so has the quad
there and yeah I think this is a decent looking set probably won't be the best
value out of the bunch but I will get this along with the rest of them and see
how they look actually in person and last up t-rex vs Dino mech battle this
will be a 716 piece set for $90 us this is another one where I think the price
depart ratio doesn't look good but I think the actual value that you'll get
here will be pretty reasonable because that well first of all the t-rex I mean
it's a new color scheme for t-rex and t-rexes I have always been expensive and
highly desirable but you know what I like to collect dinosaurs myself and I'm
willing to pay more than ten cents per part for a dinosaur for sure but the
Dino mech looks really cool to me you know it uses the the classic Jurassic
Park stripes for part of its color scheme with the dark red on the
lime-green looks like it's fairly well covered all
around uses some new part choices you know to create some of the shapes and
the fingers and the toes and yeah it just it just looks pretty well done you
know it looks pretty complete it doesn't look skeletal and then they've got the
the dinghy there the rubber dinghy which is a full
build you actually build that up they're not just using the the small ones which
they could have I think they could have done this with just the small one but
they wanted to have you know the single piece one that actually floats so this
will not float but obviously they wanted to have more space available to put more
figures in this and that has on it four different baby velociraptors which
just melts my heart because I love that that little mold and here we get
different versions it's it's the full team the only official dress world team
as babies which is just just ridiculous in a good way so I love that and then
they also have for terrain backdrop they've got a pretty simple and pretty
blocky looking mountain I guess you'd call it just imagine it being way off in
the background so it's a volcano that's actually going off this set comes with
Owen Clare vikas skins and Danny Niedermayer again
and they're also a couple of bats that are flying around for some reason and
they say that all of these sets are going to be released in the fall of 2019
whatever that means could mean late summer 2019 for a couple
of stores in in one country who knows it could be all the way off into October or
something but you know we'll find out more about that hopefully fairly soon
but it still a ways off let me know in the comments what you think about this
entire series I think that it's pretty good and I look forward to getting more
dinosaurs and of course I will do builds for these sets over on my build channel
and we'll do full reviews of them right here so as I get them and I'll keep an
open mind that's all I have on this topic thanks for watching I will talk to
you in very very soon
