Youtube daily Feb 7 2019

I don't leave home very much. I prefer resting to recover well for the next day of training.

Chef, what are we cooking today?

A vinaigrette. We're making a traditional Brazilian lunch.

Feijoada (beans). Which Malcom loves. Because the boss loves it.

Malcom, are you the one who usually cooks?

I try. But he's teaching me.

He helps me a lot.

Orange.

This is farofa (cassava). To go with the feijoada.

And orange?

That's what I eat to help digest the food.

Yes, it's my little brother.

Blow me a kiss.

What is this?

It's from Brazil. When I was little I played with this with my friends, where I grew up.

It's really fun.

What's this called in Brazil?

Una pipa.

And now I'm going to show you how it works.

Look, it's flying.

What is this?

A pandeiro. It's a Brazilian musical instrument. For samba, which everyone knows.

I'm learning how to play it. He's teaching me. I only know this.

You're improving!

He's going to show you some more.

He's awesome!

In Pathetic Ratings Grab, CNN Gives Town Hall To Whiny Billionaire - Duration: 3:48.

CNN is making it clear that the only thing they care about in the world is ratings because

ratings equal higher advertising dollars, and that is why this week they extended an

invitation to Howard Schultz, the independent billionaire who is considering running for

president of the United States.

They have offered him a town hall next week exclusive, see it in town hall, just Howard

Schultz in some American voters asking him questions, trying to gauge and see what kind

of a person he really is.

Well, we already know what kind of person he really is.

He is a whiny billionaire who doesn't want to pay his fair share in taxes and he wants

to attack anyone who thinks that the millionaires and billionaires should have to pay a little

bit more because they're the ones who have benefited the most from the American system.

Furthermore, CNN right now is trying to capitalize on the success that they had last week with

their Kamala Harris town hall, which broke ratings records for the network, and they

think they can do the same thing with Howard Schultz.

This is a pathetic ratings grab by network that is struggling to remain relevant and

it's absolutely obscene.

Really.

That's the only way to describe this is that this is obscene.

The man hasn't even officially announced that he is going to run for president.

Just expressed interest.

Like, Hey, this might be a thing.

I might do it.

See it.

It's like, great sign here.

We'll get you a town hall.

We'll get you an audience will give you all the exposure in the world that you could possibly

want because you're a billionaire and therefore we love you and America should love you too.

Here's the thing.

We actually have many other Democrats who have officially announced that they are going

to run for president.

Uh, so where's their town halls?

I haven't seen one with Elizabeth Warren yet.

Or Tulsi Gabbert or, or Castro or, you know, any of the other people who are hinting, they

may run just like Howard Schultz.

Where's, where's Bernie's independent town hall.

You know, we're, we're Sherrod Brown's.

Where's Joe Biden's?

Not that I would want to watch that, but you know what I mean.

Howard Schultz is not officially running for president yet.

He gets this massive platform because the network thinks they can make big bucks off

of it.

They think they can make a ton of money trying to shove Howard Schultz down our throats,

and the only piece of advice I can give everyone in this country is do not watch it.

Do not watch it.

There is nothing to be gained from tuning into this town hall.

If it does, in fact happen, there's still a chance Schultz may pull out of it, especially

considering the fact that he's polling at about four percent right now, but nonetheless,

CNN wants it to happen.

They want you to get to know this guy, but we already know everything we need to know

about him.

He is a fraud.

He is a phony.

He is a corporatist and he is not the kind of person that we need.

Running the United States of America.

Two years of billionaire rule in the United States, in the Oval Office is enough.

We do not need a another multibillionaire thinking that they're smart enough to come

in and solve all of the problems that this country is facing.

We've learned over the last few years that nothing could be further from

the truth.

Acorde guitarra MI con bajo en SOL sostenido E/G# MI/SOL# - Duration: 3:11.

Hello, How are you?

As you know, a chord has three notes at least that sounding together create harmony

And a major chord has it's keynote, a major 3rd and the perfect 5th

Today we do E/G#

it is the first inversion of E

Instead of E G# B

G# will be the keynote

Using a note from the chord that it is not the keynote and use it as if it was

It is a way to give more harmonic richness or some kind of tension

let's see three ways to put this chord on the fretboard

there a re more ways but these three are the most used by me

first

it is a bit tricky, we have to separate fingers a lot, 1st and 2nd strings open

finger 1 fret 1 string 3

finger 2 fret 2 string 4

finger 4 fret 4 string 6

you can see, if I do not arch this finger too much

5th string gets muted, it is good, we don't want it to sound

I can play it but the 5th string does not sound

second way is a bit tricky too but easier than the first

string 6 fret 4 as keynote

capo on fret 4

finger 2 fret 5 string 2

string 3 on fret 4

finger 3 fret 6 string 4

finger 4 fret 7 string 5

capo gives us the fret 4 on string 6

at the and it is a E major chord but key note is G#

On third way, we use as keynote fret 11 string 5

capo on fret 9

finger 4 fret 12 string 1

finger 2 fret 11 string 5

we play from 5th to the others

6th string is not played

E/G# or E's first inversion

OK, be good!

Reflecting on Goals and Making a Vision Board! - Duration: 9:44.

- Hello, hello, hello my friends.

Kaitlyn here and it's that time of year again,

time to lay out your hopes and dreams for the future.

Let's work on this year's vision board.

(upbeat electronic music)

Hello, before I dismantle last year's vision board,

I wanted to take one last look at it

and kind of reflect on what I feel like

I was able to accomplish.

Well I would say that the first thing that we can notice

is that this vision board started

in a completely different apartment last year

and has ended in a new one,

which I am very, very happy for,

and I think that had a lot to do with these two,

the speak your truth, or speak truth,

and be your own hero,

because I felt like I did a lot of work

to disentangle myself from my past relationship,

and that meant getting a new apartment on my own.

So yeah, affirming words like fearless,

and tell your story, and stop pretending

everything is okay if it's not.

Over here, we've got imagine, dream, inspire,

which is kind of the tagline for my YouTube channel,

and we've got unicorns and cats and kind of space-themed.

Also, this little animation, or this little drawing

by Mari Andrew where it's your passions are the sun

and you are orbiting it,

but when, in reality, you are the sun,

and your passions are planets that are orbiting you.

I don't want YouTube, my life to be revolving

around YouTube and video making and creative stuff,

I want the creative stuff to be revolving around me.

Got some pictures of Finn in here, here and here

and this was kind of like the thought

of incorporating Finn more into my channel

but I also feel like it was bringing Finn

to live with me which I'm very happy

that I was able to do this year and he's over here

peeking his little head out the window looking at me.

What are you doing?

You having fun?

You're silly.

And the last theme for last year was worth of love

which was really a journey of loving myself

which is something I've always had to work on

and I will continue to work on this year.

Got like purple hair, so I didn't fully dye my hair

a color but I did put in colored extensions,

which was sort of an out of my comfort zone.

Here's my kinda shrine to accepting my body

the way that it is.

Last year was definitely about loving my body

the way that it is right now,

which is not the way that it was when I was like 16

or 22 when I first started dating my ex and that's okay.

I am a 28 year old woman, almost 29 year old woman

and it's not gonna be the same

but I have to come at my body from a place of love

and acceptance and not of a trying to change it

and make it into something that TV says it should be

or men say it should be or something like that

and I do feel like I started that journey

and am still definitely on it

but I made some progress this year.

Alright there it is.

There's last year's vision board.

I'm sad to take it down but I'm also excited

for making a new vision for this year.

(playful music)

(sighs) woo! (laughs)

You enjoying watching this?

(playful music)

Woo! Oh my gosh!

That was an intense upper shoulder workout.

Holy cow.

So this year I'm doing something a little bit different

again because I'm always trying to innovate apparently

and I made three lists, a hard and fast to-do list

of specific things that I want to accomplish this year,

then my emotional goals or things I want to work on

in my mental space and then finally my creative goals

or creative practices I wanna cultivate

and then as always some images and text

that I feel like reflect and inspire those goals.

So let's put it together.

(upbeat music)

No, no, no, no.

No, no, no, stay there.

Finn!

Oh my gosh.

(upbeat music)

We're so close.

(upbeat music)

I think I'm done.

Wow, wow, oh, I am tired.

That really gets to your shoulders

and like my fingernails from putting

those little pins under it.

Okay let's talk about what my vision board means

and what all these pretty pictures that I put up there

have to do with what I wanna get done this year.

First we've got the things I want to do.

I definitely need new business cards,

I need to update both of my websites

and I need to update my LinkedIn.

Just a lot of updating.

I really, really, really want to

book a photo shoot for head shots.

I need to Marie Kondo my life and apartment.

I need to pare down extraneous stuff

and selling all the clothes that I have.

Not all of them obviously I still have to wear some.

I really wanna make merchandise like t-shirts and stuff

for iIMAGINEblank and I still wanna start a podcast

and I just need to do it,

which come over here, to emotional goals.

Number two is stop waiting to do the things I want to do.

Because that is a problem.

I say I want to do stuff and then I'm like,

oh but I need permission or oh I need to have,

like know how to do all of it before I can do any of it

and just no, I need to go ahead and start.

Reflecting more and distracting myself less.

This is definitely like not just spending

a whole bunch of random time on my phone

and then finally creative goals.

I need to get back into journaling.

I was really good at it in 2017, 2016,

and then I was terrible in 2018.

And I'd ideally like to write every day

but I don't know if that's a feasible goal.

I got a ukulele last year, I took a couple of classes

because it was part of something that happened at work,

then I like didn't touch it the rest of the year.

So I wanna get back to learning the ukulele

and I think maybe that maybe that just means

I need to take a class this year.

And the last two have to do with writing.

At least a couple people have mentioned

have you ever thought about writing a memoir

because you have experienced so many things

with relationships you might be able to teach

some people things and so I wanna look at

if I could maybe write a memoir

from you know my experiences.

Now let's look at all the pretty pictures and pieces.

On the creative side I've got some color pallettes

because since we're talking about updating websites

and brand graphics and stuff like that.

These purples and then also this like galaxy.

Galaxy cats are kind of the thing that I really want to do

and I really wanna have Finn as a cat in space.

That's, that's like my theme.

I've got quite a few words of encouragement

and different things that I read throughout this past year

that I feel like inspired me and I wanted to continue

that inspiration as I work on some of my emotional goals.

This is some more art by Mari Andrew,

which I had on my vision board last year

and I just, I really connect with her

and so awards that nobody gives out.

For the screen play you hope to write one day,

for the book that's in your head,

and this is like so, so me.

It just goes to that actually doing what I want to do

rather than just being like oh maybe I should do that.

It's more galaxy and space themed girls up here.

Here's some Tessa Violet,

you can see her sprinkled throughout.

I'm actually going to see her in concert in New York City

when I go visit Alann a and I'm so excited.

Just all kinds of things that really make me happy

and make me feel encouraged for the year to come

is really what I'm kind of doing with this board this year

and then having some you know, specific reminders

of things I wanna accomplish.

So, yeah, I'm really excited for this.

Do you have to be involved?

Hm?

You need to be involved in everything?

You like my new vision board?

Are you inspired Finn?

Well thanks guys for doing another vision board journey

with me again this year.

I hope it's inspired you to make your own vision board

in whatever way works for you.

You're so cute!

Yes you are.

You just wanna get up there

and tear down my board, don't you?

Yeah, yeah.

I've talked about this on some previous videos,

but it doesn't have to be like a giant corkboard like mine,

it can be like a Pinterest board

or a desktop background or just like an 8.5x11

sheet of paper or whatever really works for you.

I'm just kind of extra and an over achiever,

so I have to make a giant board, is really what's going on.

The goal really is to just have something

to help you visualize what you wanna accomplish.

Let me know down on the comments

some of your visions for the future

and how you're trying to bring them to fruition.

And as always, remember that you can check me out

on these other social media sites

and if you haven't already,

don't forget to subscribe and hit that notification bell

so you know the moment there's a new video.

And I'll see you guys next Thursday.

Bye!

5 Books To Help Your Anxiety with Neil Pasricha - Duration: 3:08.

- Which books should I read to help cure my anxiety?

Great question.

There is no magic button.

It's not like you can take some potion or powder

and just snort it up your nose, and you're good.

It's a journey, not a destination.

So how do you get rid of anxiety?

How do you help it melt away?

I'm gonna give you a bunch of books, okay?

Maybe one of them resonates with you.

You can order that one online

or go to your local independent bookstore,

which I love and I recommend,

and then you can find a book that will help you.

Here we go.

Number one.

Let's Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson,

also known as The Bloggess.

Jenny writes about her crazy family

in the vein of Mary Karr,

and it's a beautiful book because you know what?

No matter how anxious you feel and I feel some of that too,

you'll feel better after reading the story

of her nutty taxidermist prone family, okay?

Taxidermy prone, I think.

But, either way.

That's a good book.

Number two.

Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosh.

This is based on the incredibly popular webcomic.

She writes about her anxiety, her depression,

her loneliness in this really stark and frank way.

The comics are extremely accessible.

They will leave you with not only feeling a bit lucky,

but feeling less alone with what you have,

because you have a friend in Allie

and the comics really do connect.

Those are both kinda down books a little bit,

like you feel up because they're a little bit down.

If you want to feel up, I recommend my book,

The Book of Awesome, which is up in the background there.

I was going through a lot of anxiety and a low period

when I wrote a blog post every single day

on 1000awesomethings.com.

I did that for four straight years, 1000awesomethings.com.

That turned into a book called The Book of Awesome.

It's talking about the smell of bakery air,

flipping to the cold side of the pillow

in the middle of the night,

hitting a string of green lights when you're late for work.

All these little tiny moments that will make life

seem less important and a little bit more beautiful, okay?

What other books do I wanna recommend?

Oh, of course.

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson.

Mark Manson is like my blogger hero.

I'm a blogger, so I can look up to him

as like the grand-daddy,

even though he's way younger than me,

because he has a great blog called markmanson.net.

On that, he writes

these incredibly lucid, clear prose articles

about how to live a rich and fulfilling life.

Those were coagulated into an incredible book

called The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck,

which I'm sure you've heard of,

because it's been on the bestseller list for years.

But if you haven't, that is a great sort of practical guide.

Last, because I want to have five not four,

I like even numbers and not odd,

I will give you Mindset by Carol Dweck.

If you're a little bit more academic,

if you want someone that's more on the research,

how do you change your mindset

from a fixed to a growth mindset, this is the book.

Bill Gates calls this

one of the best business books ever written.

Everyone at Microsoft read it, I've read it.

It's fantastic.

I put it in my book club.

Check out those five books.

I'm sure, I'm hoping that one of them

will resonate with you.

You can order it today, start reading it,

and watch your anxiety, just a little bit, melt away.

If you liked this one, drop a note in the Comments below.

Tell me which one resonated with you,

which book I mentioned that you liked,

or which book I didn't mention that I should've

and I'm a total idiot for skipping.
