After Convention: Thank you! What's next? - Duration: 2:55.

Hi, this is Bishop Carlye, and it is just a few days after Diocesan Convention, and I

am filled with gratitude.

I am so grateful for all of those who did the planning and volunteering and participating in Diocesan

Convention.

I'm grateful for everybody who came, I'm grateful especially to those who brought young people,

and who brought people to attend for the very first time, so that we all got a part of the

Episcopal experience together.

Thank you for making time for Diocesan Convention.

I am especially grateful for the way God blessed us at this Convention.

I want to claim that for all of us, that we have a special experience together, as we

talked, as we prayed, as we took care of the church's business, we continued to allow space

for God to be in Convention with us - and God was.

Most of us, because of that incredible blessing of God, and that time that we all spent together,

left Convention excited, ready to do something new, ready to try on those gifts or revisit

gifts that we've already known, wanted to share what we experienced, and you may be

wondering, "What do I do now?"

I have two things for you to consider taking some action on.

First of all, I invite you to take part in "Breaking Bread with the Bishop."

One of the best things about Convention for me was getting to spend time with you.

So let's spend more time together.

And I encourage you to invite someone who did not come to Convention.

Invite someone who needs to know more about what it's like to be a part of this diocese

right now, and who has not had a chance to get to know me.

I look forward to seeing you and seeing them at those sessions.

And a link giving you more information about those sessions is attached to this message.

The other way that you can help is, many of you wanted to take something back to your

church.

All of the information that we worked with for "Gifted, Called and Sent" is also sitting

in this message.

A link to it is in this message.

Please do share that with your friends, with your family and the people in your church.

Those activities we did together are activities that you can do in your congregation.

I think the blessing that started for us at Convention is not over.

That it will continue.

We are God's people in this place, seeking God's path for ministry.

God will continue to bless us and continue to guide us, and I look forward to being in

that ministry with you.
