Tutorial - How to Oil Your Industrial Sewing Machine - Goldstartool.com - 800-868-4419 - Duration: 8:26.

and today I'm going to go over a quick video

regarding how to oil your machine

and what to oil and what not to oil

and all that stuff.

So, most important thing is that

most of these machines now come with

a quite motor.

If you see your sewing machine is leaking

from here, it could be with overload

or could be with sergers, or the needle

or anything.

If you see that is happening, it's because

your machine is in reverse.

The pump is in reverse.

So, that is why the oil is dripping from here.

You want to make sure that

the sewing machine is going that way

and not this way.

That's number one.

Number two, all the new machines these days

have an oil pan right here.

And if you zoom in, It's a low and a high right here.

So when you buy a machine,

put a quart of oil in there.

With this machine you don't need to oil anything.

There's a pump right here.

Do you see that?

There's a pump.

Okay. And if you find the machine like this,

with the hole there, there is nothing wrong

with it.

This is called an umbrella

and it sits here.

What happens is whenever your machine

needs to go up and down,

this goes up

you see that?

And makes the umbrella go up

and makes the feet go up right here.

But right now its not gonna go.

So if there's a hole in here,

there's no problem.

You might find magnets in them. Right here.

There's nothing wrong.

This didn't come off of anything.

This magnet sits here, and if the needles breaks

it travels down here and gets stuck here

and then you can clean them up.

You see there is a screw right here.

That screw is for if you want to

change the oil.

But you see the oil is really dark

and really unbearable and smells,

then you want to change it.

Just open this up, pull all the oil out.

Clean up the pan.

Number one.

This thing that is hanging here,

is by purpose.

There's nothing wrong with your sewing machine.

It's all normal.

This one sits in the oil

and oil travels up through the sewing machine.

With this sewing machine.

You see.

There are these plugs.

If you want you could open plugs

and drop one drop of oil in them.

Now,

this is a must.

You have one of these air blowers at home?

- [Girl] No.

- [Male] Oh, you don't.

Whenever he comes by just ask him if

you can use this to clean up the sewing machine.

You may not know, but there's a lot of dust.

And a lot of lint inside this machine.

Inside the motor. You want to clean it every day.

Make sure that its clean.

Now if you don't have one of these,

and you don't have a gardener,

you just want to get one of those air cans

and clean it up.

Under the plate, over the plate, all over.

So this is the single needle walking foot.

The same thing applies with 8700.

The same thing, same system.

There's an oil pan down there.

And oil goes in there. That's the same.

Now, lets move into a zig-zag sewing machine.

On a zig-zag sewing machine, like this

there is no oil pan.

See, no oil pan.

Very nice.

Everything is up here.

You oil, from up here.

All of these holes that are open

is for oiling.

All of these things.

This is a zig-zag sewing machine.

No oil pan.

New tech. No oil pan underneath.

Same thing. Pour right here.

You oil it from the top.

You can even open this up and grease it.

Nothing is gonna happen.

On the blind-stich sewing machine from New Tech,

no oil pan.

All these holes that you see here

is for oiling

a drop or two.

You don't have to go big on the oil.

Because sometimes the oil comes to the needle

and makes you stuff, but now.

What type of oil? Neutral one hundred.

And that's all we have. It's a clear oil.

Neutral one hundred oil.

And that's what everybody asks.

Multi-needles.

This one doesn't have an oil pan.

You put oil inside,

you open this up and you out your oil in there

and you can see the gauge from right here.

There's a gauge right here lets say,

and you can see how much oil there is.

The oil is inside here. It's sealed.

There's another New Tech, same thing.

On the surgers, no oil pan.

The oil goes from the top

and here is the gauge that you can see

how much oil you have.

Same thing with New Tech, that the 9000

right here.

Oil pan in there.

Lets move into the New Tech HA441.

Same thing.

No oil pan.

You have up here, and this one all these red spots

you oil them.

You oil all these things.

But the most important beside the oiling,

is that you keep your sewing machine clean.

Make sure there is no thread around the belt.

Make sure the belt is covered.

Do not use a sewing machine before

you put oil in there.

Make sure there's oil in there.

It has happened many times a customer called

and said 'hey, my sewing machine is not moving

a couple of days of work'

because they forgot to put oil in there.

You've got to make sure there's oil in there.

The oil is clean, make sure you change your oil

from time to time.

And just go through the paperwork that comes

with the machine.

Every machine had one of these owners manuals.

Besides showing you the parts, it tells

you how to oil them,

how to change them, all of that.

Always have the right tools for what you're doing.

Make sure with a sewing machine like this

you have a tweezers and needle threader

and all of that stuff.

This is the way you oil them.

Make sure you have a blower.

Or a air can.

And that's the way

you're gonna make sure

your sewing machine lives forever happy.

from goldstartool.com and

in this video, I'm pretty much gonna go over

the difference between the brushless servomotor

and regular servomotor.

I have done this video I think before.

I'm sure I did it and I also have done this video

many time when we have...

Assembled sewing machines.

So but to the left to right here,

we have a regular servomotor.

Okay.

This is a regular servomotor and it comes with

the on and off switch already, there's a fuse right here,

and so everything's done, okay?

We get the...

Plug for the, whatever you need to,

but people use it for the LED lamps.

Also you have the direction switch rider.

The machine comes with a ball joint.

You see here.

It comes with all the tools and accessories

that you could put the machine together.

Right here.

Everything.

These are...

And I know I wanna go ahead and tell you

how many screws you get and how many this

and how many that, but this is it.

You get the belt cover.

You don't get a belt with the machine

because different machine needs different belt size.

You get washers, three washers, three screws, three bolts.

And three nuts and all that.

And these are the cushion that goes here when you get it

so the machine will not shake.

Very nice, very easy, done.

You will also get one of these clutches,

which I don't call clutch, maybe brakes.

Which nobody uses ever, you don't need this.

You get an extra fuse, it might come handy.

And you get two brush.

These are the two brushes that one goes here

and one goes to the other side.

And this is only when you run out of these things.

There is already a set inside.

But when you run out,

you might wanna replace that with this.

Okay, we're good, Jasmine?

- [Jasmine] Yes.

- [David] The bracket that you see here is the same bracket

that has every single sewing machine models out there.

Clutch, any brand, anything.

You don't have to do any modification.

Okay, this is the bracket.

Now when you put the belt on, okay,

and the ball joint goes obviously here,

you might wanna adjust the machine

by moving this up and down.

The lower you go, the motor bends more back,

so if your belt is a smaller or bigger, you could adjust.

It's not gonna have any effect on your sewing machine.

It is not heavy, it's very light,

so all you have to do, up or down.

If you have one to two inch difference in belt,

when you're putting your belt on

you could just adjust these and you'll be good.

They're V-belt, regular V-belt.

This is where the ball joint's going, the lever,

and this is the speed control.

So a lady called me yesterday and told me,

my machine doesn't make any noise,

there is something wrong with it.

So I told her that the sewing machine came with the

quiet motor, a silent motor.

And she was so happy, she didn't know.

But this is pretty much a speed control.

But the way it is,

you can really control how many.

3,450 RPM all the way to 350.

But you can go 355 or 360 or 375.

It's pretty much the way you adjust it.

We use this for everything.

For all type of machine.

Very easy to install and it's only a switch on and off,

as you saw right here.

And you just plug it in and you could put in

your LED lamps in there.

So you could use on any type of machine.

This is 550.

Jasmine, can you zoom in here?

Made by New Tech, model GC, what does it say?

My eyes. - Dash 550S.

- [David] 550, that means it's 550 watts, right?

110 volts, power 550, and the speed is zero to 30-what?

- [Jasmine] 3,600 RPM.

- [David] Okay, so that's one.

That is...

This could only do this, there is nothing else

this motor could do.

On and off, speed control, this is it.

If you wanna know if using this motor for something else

besides showing machine, if you wanna know,

the pulley that comes with it is 75 millimeter, okay?

And the male part, the shaft inside,

is 3/4 inch inside here.

If you guys wanna use this for something else.

So.

Again, it comes with all the accessories,

belt cover and everything.

This is one thing.

So now.

We're gonna move this back

and we're gonna go to the brushless.

This is the motor that you really wanna have

if you're doing needle positioning.

For watching the machine

and all different type of sewing machine.

Why?

First of all, it's the same, let's go over this before,

it's a New Tech sewing servomotor.

Model is FX-650.

110, now it said 220 volts,

I don't think anybody's gonna use 220 volts in the USA.

50 Hz to 60, it's obviously made in China,

and it's 650 watt.

It's more powerful than this one,

much smaller, much lighter.

Okay?

It works the same way, the same bracket, the same thing.

Only you will have instead of the lever,

you have this type of lever which is the same exact thing.

All right, now, it's much smaller

and when you wanna adjust, you could adjust the lever,

I'm sorry I'm moving it around so much

and Jasmine is trying to zoom in and out, with this one.

All you have to do if you want the belt,

you have a smaller belt or a larger belt

and you wanna adjust this,

you use this big huge bolt right here.

All right, if you wanna take it out then take it down,

you open these two.

It comes with a 65 millimeter pulley

which has nothing to do with the sewing machine.

You could use this for any type of sewing machine again.

Very powerful.

And this is also 3/4 inside.

Comes with a ball joint,

belt cover obviously,

and all the same accessories that came with that one.

Now this one don't have a brush like the other one.

So this is called brushless.

Okay, it's usually more expensive.

We have them in 550, 650, and 750 watts.

Now this machine comes with a control box.

Meaning that you could use on and off, okay,

and you have in the back, you have variety of...

Female jack or male jack.

One is obviously for the motor itself

to plug in to the electricity,

and one that comes from the motor that goes to the bottom.

These ones, wanna fit for LED lamp if you need,

you can also put LED lamp here,

but if you have one of these that uses jack

you could use it here

and these two are for needle positioning, okay?

Now with this one, the speed is digitized.

You could go one by one,

from one all the way to 6,500 watts.

So it's one by one you could go up.

That's how you could go up and you could come down, okay?

The direction is the blue one,

dial it going this way and the other way,

and this is for needle positioning.

If you have needle positioning that stays up or stays down.

This machine could do many, many, many different stuff.

It comes with an owner manual for different

type of machine, to go one step or two step,

stays up, again, the needle stays down,

how much when you go out and down

and we're gonna put this on a pause right now, this video,

and we're gonna go to a 1181 Juki

and I'm gonna show you what I mean

by pausing and going up and going down.

Okay, so this is a Juki 1181, all right?

You have done many videos.

And there is that same motor that I just showed you.

I'm gonna turn it down.

And it's on going this way.

It's the right direction.

If I want to go the other way,

I'd just go ahead and put this one.

You see, it started going that way, okay?

And I wanted this.

If you want needle position then it's P up, P down, and off.

You could have it both now.

Speed.

See, from one...

From two.

All the way to 45 up.

Now this is very small, very slow speed.

Okay, so I'm gonna show you what I mean

right now by showing.

So people see when I show, can you zoom in here by needle?

See, people, you wanna do only one stitch, done.

Another stitch, done.

Another stitch, done.

Another stitch.

Okay?

So on here if you look,

you could see right now,

I don't know if because of the video you could see this,

but you see, goes up to three or four and comes back down.

This is how much the wheel is turning to give power

to this pulley right here.

So we talked about speed reducers.

I would not use any speed reducer on this machine

that it has this beautiful motor.

Because it's gonna make the motor go crazy.

But see I'm going, if you wanna go corners,

if you wanna do one, I'm doing one only, one at a time.

Now I could go this fast,

but this is the fastest that I could go.

Let me do the other way.

See, this is my full speed right now.

I could go higher, see?

I could go higher as much as I want.

By putting it up.

See I'm gonna go to 26, let's say half.

And see?

This is high.

But I could go low to number two.

Number two.

And this is the highest I could,

this is the fastest I could go.

See?

This is the fastest I could go.

Now.

For programming there are other stuff that you could do

if you're doing different type of stuff,

again, you could make machine go only half

or go full speed when you put your feet on the pedal,

you could have needle position on it.

Or not a needle position,

so this one doesn't have a needle position.

This is going to a customer

that doesn't want a needle position.

But anyways, the machine, while we're at it,

if you're watching this video,

this is a separate bobbin winder.

Obviously the bobbin winder's gonna be on the machine

but this is pretty much the difference between

servomotor and brushless servomotor.

On Thursday, took a pause from plugging The Lego Movie 2 on The Last Show With Stephen Colbert to talk about his faith and his church.

But Ellen Page, 31, didnt see the digression as a harmless statement about his personal faith.

The Inception star took to to slam the 39 year old Jurassic World star for his connections to what she called an anti LGBTQ church.

Oh. K. Um. But his church is infamously anti lgbtq so maybe address that too? Ellen tweeted late Thursday night.

Chris was in the news after talking on Stephen Colberts show about how his faith had helped him balance his fame.

Theres this great quote, that I actually heard in church, and it felt really appropriate, which was, If the spotlight thats shining on you is brighter than the light that comes from within you, itll kill you. I recognize this one statement alone is upsetting to people on both sides of this discussion, which points to the complexity of the issue for churches all over the world.
