"Music"

Hey Guys Its Sagar from Tecworkz, and welcome to another episode of the best android apps.

In this video, we take a look at 10 Android apps,

which I think you guys should definitely try out.

Links to all of the apps mentioned in this video are in the description section.

Now Before we get started, make sure to hit the subscribe button so you don't miss out

on any of the amazing upcoming videos.

The first app on this list is Wall On.

This app offers you a huge collection of high resolution wallpapers from unsplash.

All the wallpapers are laid across different categories, interface is simple, and scrolling

experience through the wallpapers is super smooth.

You can download your favourite wallpaper in RAW format, Or set it as a wallpaper from

right within the app.

You also get a lot of information about the wallpaper, like where and when was it taken,

what is the resolution.

And if you are interested, it also gives information like the camera used, shutter speed, ISO,

aperture, and so on.

It's definitely a must have wallpaper app, go check it out.

Second app on the list is Spyzie.

It is essentially a parental control app, which is targeted towards parents who want

to keep a track of their kids.

It allows you to completely monitor the activity, on any other smartphone, which can be an android

phone or an iPhone.

You can look at the call logs, browsing history, the games they are playing and even the current

location of the target device.

Unfortunately, Lot of the functionality of the app is locked, and you need to pay a monthly

subscription fee to use it to its full potential.

Next app is Don't touch my phone.

If you are at public place with your smartphone running low on battery, and the charging point

is a bit away from you, this app helps to keep your smartphone safe while its away from

you.

Just turn the app on while you move away, and it will sound an alarm as soon as someone

tries to pick up or move your smartphone.

To turn off the alarm you need to type in the passcode, which makes it super secure

and reliable.

It uses the sensors in your smartphone, to detect if the phone is being moved so it can

sound the alarm.

If you live in a crowded country like India, I would say its a must have app.

Next up, we have the first game in todays list, its called Descent.

This is a new endless runner game where you have to guide a cube down it's endless fall.

You need to tap on the screen to avoid obstacles along the way.

You can upgrade and get new cubes with the Tokens that you collect as you move ahead

in the game.

The game seems really tough at the start, but once you get the hang of it, its a fun

way to keep yourself on your toes.

Coming around the half way mark, Next app on the list is Google Opinion Rewards.

This app lets you answer quick surveys and earn Google Play Credit.

You will get notified when short and relevant surveys are ready for you.

Depending on your answers, you earn credit, which you can then spend in the Google Play

store to purchase apps or games.

Google recently made this app available in India, so now you can answer some surveys,

earn credit, and buy paid apps in the Play store that you always wanted.

17 Track lets you keep a track of all your orders from various courier services.

You can track parcels from over 220 carriers.

And the best thing is, the app is free and without adds.

You can track multiple packages at once, get notifications when status changes, and the

app also auto detects the shipping carrier.

Its a great app which lets you keep a track of all the packages at one place.

Next app in the list is Screenshot Assistant.

It helps you take screenshots, just by holding down your home button.

I don't think it can get any simpler than this.

You no longer need two hands to take a screenshot.

After you are done taking a screenshot, you get a small menu, with options which let you

crop the screenshot, resize it, store it on your device, or share it any which way you

like.

The only downside is that, you wont be able to activate google now with a long press of

the home button.

The next app and second game in our list is Linia.

Its a minimalist colourful puzzle game, where you have to slice through the right colour

patterns in one clean motion, to move on to the next level.

This game requires you to be really precise.

The first few levels are pretty simple and straight forward, but it gets really tough,

really quickly.

Try it out and you will enjoy it.

Its not easy, but it sure is cool.

If you have an SD card slot on your smartphone, then you should check out MoveIt.

This all will let you move multiple images and Audio or video files to your SD card or

the other way around.

Now you no longer have to rely on your computer to transfer your files, this app does it for

you quickly and easily.

Most of the times, images, videos and songs on our phone was up majority of the storage

space on your smartphone, this way you can move all of that to your SD card and have

free space on your phone for heavy applications.

3rd game and second last app in todays list is Loner.

This is by far the easiest, simplest and relaxing endless runner style game that I have tried

so far.

You have to control this plane with your fingers, and guide it through the openings that are

coming up, that's it.

It gets a bit challenging with time, but it is still simpler than most of the games out

there.

Give it a try if you want to try your hands on a simple relaxing game for a change.

The last app in todays list is TempMail.

This is probably my favourite app in the list.

What this allows you to do is create temporary secure, private email accounts, so you can

avoid spam emails, hacking attempts, and all the other email related headaches.

There are times when you need to use a particular service just once, but it asks you to provide

your email address, just use temp mail to create a temporary email account, and use

that.

This is an awesome utility app which is very useful for someone like me, who is always

trying and testing various services, without having to worry about receiving spam email

from them later on.

Well these have been the 10 Android apps for this video.

I will be back next month with more great app for you to try out.

Let me know in the comments section, which one of these apps did you enjoy the most.

Also if you have any app suggestions for the next video, again let me know in the comments

section.

(upbeat music)

- It was 2007 and at this point,

the internet was basically just a place for perverts

to talk dirty to each other.

- It was rubble, it was just a vast field of rubble.

- Suddenly, two shining talents from Hollywood,

Adam McKay and Will Ferrell came and taught Steve Jobs

and the entire internet how to do it right.

Can I say that copy I'm reading

sounds really self-aggrandizing?

- We gotta read it.

You actually skipped a line.

- I'm just not comfortable talking about,

you can do it if you want.

- Those two fellas came along and told Steve Jobs

and his Silicon Valley counterparts

to stop being (bleep) holes.

That's what the copy read.

- You're comfortable reading that?

- I love it, I'll even write into it.

- Basically what it was was we wanted to do fun sketches

on the internet, Will and I, up at his guest house,

goofing around, my daughter was there.

- Pearl, who was two years old at the time, I believe.

- That's correct.

- Is my nasty landlord, it is the day when she is there

- You don't have to raise your voice.

- Now, Pearl is now 12 years old.

- How is Pearl, what's she up to?

- I'd appreciate it if we don't get into my family.

- What's she up to?

- She doesn't live at home anymore,

she lives with a 22-year-old drummer

from Avril Lavigne's band. - Whoa.

- And she lives in the valley and we haven't seen her

in three years. - And she's 12.

- Yeah, The Landlord without exaggeration

destroyed our family.

But you know what, if you got a laugh out of it,

it was worth it.

- Gotta crack some eggs to make an omelet.

(upbeat music)

I didn't think we would be talking about stuff like this.

- 15.

- 2016, roll the clip.

- We're not doing roll the clips,

they're just cutting in stuff with us.

- Then that's fine.

- So roll clip doesn't do anything.

The STRANGEST Mysteries Science Can't Explain! - Duration: 14:19.

Here are some of the strangest mysteries science can't explain!

6 - Cow table manners

Mmmmmmm…...cows.

For those of you out there that don't eat burgers and steaks…..thank you, that's

more for us beef lovers over here!

Most of us probably have never given much thought about the ways cows eat, because really,

why would you?

Cows typically have a balanced diet consisting of grain and wheat, at least the healthiest

and tastiest ones anyways.

Cows also eat corn on the mega farms, but that's another story.

Here's the weird part about how cows eat.

When eating, cows will face either north or south.

This odd fact went unnoticed until 2008, when a team of German scientists made the discovery

by accident.

When you consider humans have been herding cattle for thousands of years, that's actually

pretty amazing that no one's ever noticed this!

According to a story on NPR, German scientist Hynek Burda was studying how different mammals,

including humans, might use the earth's magnetic fields to orient themselves.

He wondered if maybe humans subconsciously aligned north and south while sleeping.

What and how much someone needs to be smoking to think of that is up for debate, but he

started using Google Earth to look for human campsites.

He happened to notice that cows grazing in fields aligned their bodies facing either

north or south whenever they ate.

After studying nearly 10,000 cows all over the world, he found that nearly all of them

align with the earth's north and south magnetic fields when they chow down.

As a little cherry on top, he also found that deer face north and south during meals as

well.

Now, why do cows and deer do this?

No one really knows.

It's not unheard of for animals to have an internal compass.

Bats can detect magnetic fields, as well as birds.

But no one has yet figured out why cows and deer have such a great sense of direction.

It's something to think about the next time you're driving by a pasture and see cows.

You'll at least know which way directions are north and south!

5 - The Placebo Effect

Those of us who grew up in the 90's were first introduced to the placebo effect through

Space Jam.

Facing off against the Monstars, Michael Jordan and the Tune Squad faced a daunting halftime

deficit against their monstrous enemies.

In order to raise morale, MJ fakes out his teammates by giving them bottles full of "secret

stuff."

That secret stuff turned out to be just water, but it made the Tune Squad believe in themselves.

Armed with their newfound confidence, the Tune Squad were able to come from behind to

declare victory.

Aside from giving cartoon characters the strength to believe in themselves, placebos are actually

very important in medical research.

They're often used in drug testing as the control group as a way to trick recipients

into thinking they're getting treatment, when in fact, they aren't.

Why this tends to be so effective, is a bit of a mystery.

There's long been a theory that the brain plays a big role in our physical health.

Placebos can trigger some sort of psychological response that helps to heal the body.

A placebo can take many forms, such as pills made of sugar, shots that don't do anything,

fake surgeries, and so on.

In some cases, patients even know they're being given a placebo and still feel better

anyways!

Okaaaaay…..

Honestly, it's pretty weird that fake treatments would have any effect whatsoever, but researchers

think it has something to do with the mind-body relationship.

Because the mind expects something to happen, that somehow could trigger the body's chemistry

to respond in some way.

On top of not fully understanding why placebos can have an effect, there are also some serious

ethical issues at play here.

Since it sometimes involves a decent amount of deception by the doctors, some medical

experts think it's a bad practice altogether.

Ehhh…...who's never ever told a little white lie?!

4 - The Voynich Manuscript

No one knows who wrote it.

No one knows why it was written to begin with.

And no one can even decipher what's written on it.

One of the few things we do know about the Voynich Manuscript, thanks to carbon dating,

is that it was probably written sometime in the early 15th century.

But that's pretty much all we know about its origins.

So what's going on with this mysterious old book?

Purchased by book dealer Wilfrid Voynich in 1912, the book has been dubbed the Voynich

Manuscript since it has no official title.

The book is illustrated with plants, weird looking diagrams, and naked women and is written

in a language that no one alive can seem to decode.

This has obviously gave fuel to all kinds of theories ranging from forgeries to alien

handbooks.

I still don't get why people tend to credit aliens with almost everything science can't

explain.

Anyways, generally speaking, the thinking is that the manuscript was meant to be some

sort of medieval medical book.

But that's still kind of a shot in the dark, since the drawings are so puzzling.

Not helping matters is the fact that 32 pages seem to be missing from the book, so it could

be missing some really important contextual clues.

Most of the characters in the book are like nothing anyone has ever written before.

And while a few characters in the book do seem to be from the European alphabet, they

don't form any coherent meaning, so it might as well just be gibberish.

Any meaning from this book is derived through the series of bizarre drawings, which more

or less break the book up into six different sections.

The jury's still out on the purpose of the book, as well as the book's author.

We do know that it was at least written in the early 15th century, and the drawings seem

to be in a European style, so we can safely say it probably wasn't aliens.

Some people once speculated that Voynich himself forged the whole thing as some sort of a way

to make money.

As I've already said, radiocarbon dating suggests that the book was written sometime

between 1404 and 1438.

It would be difficult for Voynich to forge an indecipherable book some 4 and a half centuries

before he was born.

Plus, there's documented ownership of the book dating back to the 1500's, so it appears

the book is legit.

We just have no idea what it's trying to say.

The meaning to life maybe?

Nahhhhhhh

3 - Baghdad Batteries

Batteries are typically thought of as a relatively new invention.

The thing is though….they're not.

Well maybe not anyway.

Consisting of three artifacts, the Baghdad Battery or the Parthian Battery as some people

call it, has puzzled scholars, scientists, and archaeologists for years.

A ceramic pot, a copper cylinder and a single iron rod.

What could it possibly have been used for?

The artifacts date back to anywhere between 150 BC and 650 AD.

Okay, that's a huge time frame, but whatever, during that time period they still didn't

know how to generate electricity back then, which is what some people think these artifacts

were used for.

Exactly as the name Baghdad Battery would suggest, many people think it was used as

some sort of ancient battery.

People in this camp say that by adding vinegar or lemon juice, it would combine with the

electrode potentials of the copper and the electrodes from the iron rod to create electric

currents, probably for the purpose of layering gold onto silver, a process known as electroplating.

Sometime after World War II, a guy named William Gray proved that this could theoretically

work.

Of course the weird thing is that there's no record of any sort of electroplating during

this time.

It only stands to reason that if they discovered a life changing innovation such as electricity,

they would have least mentioned it in writing.

Plus, many scientists are skeptical as to whether or not these objects combined could

have generated enough voltage to really do anything.

Others have championed the idea that it was actually used to store sacred texts.

Since it resembles objects used for that exact purpose in nearby regions, many archaeologists

think the clay jar was used to protect the scripts from the elements.

But like the battery theory, that too is unproven.

The truth is, we just don't know what these things were used for, and we'll probably

never know for sure.

2 - The Antikythera Mechanism

Is it possible that the technology we have today could have been invented a long time

ago but was just lost in time?

Maybe, maybe not.

Maybe one day all the advanced tech that were invented in the last hundred years would just

get buried through time as well and people in the future would be fascinated that we

knew how to make a cell phone!

Anyways, let's talk about the Antikythera Mechanism.

For all intents and purposes, this thing was an ancient analogue computer used to predict

astrological positions and eclipses as a way to keep track of time.

To date, it's believed the be the oldest analogue computer in all of human history.

Scientists think it dates back anywhere between 150 and 87 BC.

The Antikythera Mechanism was re-discovered back in 1901 among the remains and artifacts

of the Antikythera shipwreck.

Since it was underwater for so long, figuring out exactly when it was made has been difficult.

Figuring exactly who built it has been difficult as well, but the thinking is that it was probably

made by the ancient greeks.

This thing was more than a thousand years ahead of it's time.

After it was lost in the shipwreck, the knowledge of how to make it was lost for more than a

thousand years.

It wasn't until the 1300's that anything close to that sort of technological advancement

was achieved.

While scientists have a pretty good idea of what The Antikythera Mechanism was used for,

they don't know exactly when it was built or who to credit for thinking of it.

1 - Atacama Skeleton

In 2003 the remains of a human were found in the Atacama Desert in an abandoned town

in Chile, by a guy named Oscar Munoz.

Big deal right?

Human bodies are found all the time.

The catch here is that the skeletal remains in question was just six inches long with

a cone shaped skull.

So unless you've seen six inch coneheads walking around, this is some strannnnnge sh*t!

As often is the case, this sparked all kinds of rumors and wild theories.

Maybe it was some sort of alien-human hybrid.

Or maybe it was the remnants of an ancient race of tiny humans.

Aliens again!!!

But while science can't fully explain this bizarre find, science can debunk some of the

more outlandish claims.

DNA testing, for example, determined that the skeleton isn't tens of thousands of

years old as originally thought.

It's relatively modern and contains high quality DNA, which means that they were able

to pinpoint its origins to the western coast of South America.

Unfortunately for the alien lovers out there, it's NOT from some distant galaxy billions

of light years away.

Anyways, these little nuggets of info have given scientists some theories to work with.

The leading assumption, according to a microbiologist named Gary Nolan, was that this little guy

suffered from an array of genetic disorders and died before birth or during birth.

In a similar vein, a paleontologist named William Jungers believes the skeleton could

be a mummified stillborn fetus.

He theorized that it was a regular person who might have suffered from a disease called

Oxycephaly, which causes the skull to be shaped like a cone.

Pretty much like from that movie, Coneheads….which is about aliens who have cone-shaped heads.

Don't get any wild ideas here!

However, not everyone is totally convinced.

Some UFO theorists claim that similar remains have been found before, and that these remains

were of an older creature.

They believe that they could in fact be of a distant humanoid race of extraterrestrial

origins.

Sigh.

There's also Dr. Steven Greer, the founder of the Disclosure Project and the Center for

the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence, who maintains this thing could be a legit

alien.

He produced a documentary called Sirius aimed at exploring this possibility.

But he still remains on the fence by saying quote, "We have to be careful proclaiming

it one thing or another as we still don't know".

While some people believed this all to be a hoax, science can at least explain that

the bizarre skeleton found in the Atacama Desert is that of a once living organism.

That's just gonna have to do for now.

Here's what's next!

July Garden Tour and 500 Subscriber Celebration Giveaway! - Duration: 3:06.

Hello everyone and welcome to The Hippie Geeks!

Did someone say giveaway?

Watch until the end of the video to see what we are doing to celebrate 500 subscribers!

It's been a little over a month since our last garden walkthru and we wanted to update

everyone on the progress.

We are using the small coop again, as we have four blue cochins living on this side of the

yard and this is where they spend their evenings.

You can also see the mugwort growing like crazy, and the lemon balm in the background

under the hives is also doing well.

We grow medicinal cannabis on this side of the yard, and it has been doing really well

with all of the recent heat that we have had.

After throwing four seperate swarms this spring, the bees are doing amazing.

We did a hive check in the afternoon and found the queen!

She looks amazing and has a fantastic laying pattern, we have high hopes that they will

be able to overwinter again this year.

There is a pan of honey collected out of our solar wax melter that we have set out for

the bees to feed on.

We have a nettle and fern in this small shaded planter that the cochins love to hide in during

the day, nestled into the cool dirt.

Our wisteria is climbing the porch lie crazy, though we didn't get a lot of flowering this

year.

We have set up a half barrel to aerate water and nutrients this year, and it allows us

to PH adjust large amounts of water at a single time.

You can see our solar melter that we use to get the beeswax out of old comb, and a bunch

of strawberries, herbs and another cannibis plant where our fire pit used to sit.

The worms are still doing great, and we should have another tub full of worm castings in

the spring.

Walking past the pool, trampoline, barbeque and chicken coop is the rest of the garden.

The cattle panel hoop house is doing great, our sugar snap peas are climbing up one side

and we have zuchinni growing on the other side.

Along the fence we have two beds full of carrots, and there is the porch that we put onto the

cabin last year.

Along the far fence, behind the clothes line there are two more beds full of tomatoes,

bell peppers and pumpkins that Noah started at school before it got out for the summer.

Our pond is as wild as ever, providing some much needed frog habitat, and next to that

is the chicken / duck coop.

Next to the hoop house is another large bed full of tomatoes, and next to that is a smaller

bed with milkweed and a small ceanothus.

That's just about everything, and we are really thrilled with how it is all doing, especially

on the cannabis side of the yard.

It was a lot of work restructuring everything, but I am glad that we did it.

What about the giveaway I mentioned?

Well, last week we rolled over 500 subscribers and as we love celebrating milestones, we

wanted to have another giveaway!

This time we are offering up a handmade mug from a local artist, that we picked up from

the Eugene Saturday Market.

We are also adding in a four ounce jar of crystallized honey from our very own treatment

free hive!

Head on over to the Gleam link in the description, and comment below to let us know what your

Meet Hari Won, A Half Korean Artist Blowing Up In Vietnam

Hari Won is a popular artist in Vietnam born to a Korean mother and Vietnamese father.

She was born and raised in Korea, but was a victim of bullying by her classmates, simply because she was bi-racial. From a young age, she learned that success was the ultimate revenge, and vowed to become successful to humiliate her bullies.

She began pursuing a career as an idol in Korea, where she debuted with the group KISS in 2001.

Unfortunately, KISS disbanded in 2003, so Hari Won decided to go to Vietnam to pursue her education.

Ten years later, she starred on Amazing Race Vietnam 2016 and the Vietnamese audition program, Teenage Dance Step. Image Source: Kiến Thức. This opened up several opportunities for her to debut in Vietnam, and soon she became a huge star.

With her growing influence, Hari Won hopes to become a connecting bridge between Korea and Vietnam and fight discrimination.
