5 of the Best Google Maps Alternatives You Should Try - Duration: 5:04.

Hi this is Phil from Make Tech Easier and welcome to five of the best Google

Maps alternatives you should try. Google Maps is good, let's just get that out of

the way first. Google's ever updating, ever improving

navigation is popular and robust enough to have more or less brought on the

death of the paper map and it feels like it's getting more and more accessible by

the day. But there are still reasons why you wouldn't want to, or can't, use Google

Maps some countries like China run a pretty tight ship when it comes to

regulation making Google Maps over there as good as useless. Or maybe you just

don't want Google algorithms profiting off your data. Whatever your reasons, we

won't pry and instead treat you to five of the best map apps that aren't

prefaced with Google. Here Wego. If a consortium of BMW, Audi and Mercedes were

willing to cough up three billion dollars to Nokia for this app, there

must be something good about it, right? Here supports over 200 countries and

provides all basic features like navigation, places to visit and detailed

routes, as well as giving you up-to-date info and prices on all public transport

links around your area, calculating them for you. Here are offers current route

conditions using different information like police reports, cameras, Twitter

feeds, construction sites, speed cameras and other data, to keep you informed and

provide a faster route, if required. Its offline map support is also amazing with

the ability to archive a whole continent and get step-by-step navigation even

while offline. Backcountry Navigator. Found yourself in the middle of lord

knows where perhaps on a mountainside or a dense forest in the Canadian

wilderness? Google Maps won't be much help because

it doesn't detail the topography at the land like Backcountry does. Designed

with hikers and outdoorsy types in mind this map uses GPS waypoints and allows

you to do such manual things like enter the longitude and latitude coordinates

of your location. It's a crucial companion when you're out in nature

relying on the highly detailed topography maps from various established

sources like USTopo, OpenCycleMaps and even nautical maps from

the NOAA RNC should you get shipwrecked or something. Waze. Waze is a community

driven map service that is fast to navigate and very intuitive. It's highly

interactive system, which lets you warn other drivers of changes in traffic,

speed cams, hazards and so on, on the roads, proved so popular that Google

bought the company in 2013. It's telling that four years on waves continues to

exist as a separate entity from Google Maps. You can get information about the

cheapest gas stations near you, under construction sites, accidents, speed

cameras, police and other information that is updated by millions of other

Waze users. You can even track other Waze users and your friends locations in real

time. Bear in mind that it's designed more for drivers and pedestrians looking

to get around a city. Navmii. Navmii is a feature-rich maps and navigation

service that is serving over 85 countries. It offers all the basic

features such as turn-by-turn navigation, bookmarking, nearest locations and search

and satellite views. It provides alerts like speed limits, traffic, speed cameras,

construction sites, slowdowns and much more. All this gets even better with the

community driven updates from other Navmii users. Navmii also partners with

Foursquare, TripAdvisor and What3Words to provide customized searches. Its

other features include Google Street View, ETA indicator, automatic rerouting HD

maps and full offline navigation support. Though our favorite has to be the "driver

scoring" which rates your driving based on the movements and GPS sensors in your

phone. You're interested now, right? MapQuest. MapQuest is another great

Google Maps alternative especially if you use public transportation for commuting.

It will let you compare your local transportation services for your route

like Uber or Car2Go and also book cars right in the app. It also provides

quick updates about all local transportation options near you. If you

like walking to different places, it will show you how many calories you will burn

to which is a nice perk. Its advanced features include automatically routing,

real-time traffic conditions, ETA, the ability to detect cameras, accidents,

construction sites, slowdowns, location sharing, weather reports

and roadside assistance. It also has some basic features of Google Maps like

turn-by-turn navigation, bookmarking, best route,

satellite view and nearby locations to visit etc. Conclusion. Most of the

above-mentioned apps focus on providing the most up-to-date information about

your local area perhaps even better than the great G maps itself. So what do you

think? Have you tried any of these and others and have some experiences to

report, good or bad? Let us know. Ok as always, thanks for watching and please

subscribe and add your comments below. See you next time!

Pehredaar Piya Ki - पहरेदार पिया की - Ep 07 - 25th July, 2017 - Duration: 21:46.

Never mind.

I understand.

You may not have got mentally prepared yet

to take up the responsibility.

You still have time.

You will enter your in-laws' place

on the 12th day from today.

I will wait for that day.

May the Goddess be auspicious unto us.

Diya..

What happened, Diya?

Diya, what happened?

Say something.

You threw the keys away..

People were talking ill of you there..

Please forgive me, Mom.

The bunch of keys..

That means, the keys were hot!

Forgive me, Diya.

Please forgive me.

Isha, get some Ghee and Haldi.

Quickly! - All right.

I had requested you so many times.

I had told you so many times that you shouldn't

get overwhelmed by your emotions to take this step.

But you didn't listen to me.

Diya, they are doing all this in front of me.

God knows what they'll do with you

when you are all alone there?

Where is Ratan?

What happened to Ratan?

He is down with fever.

Dad, why didn't you tell me about this?

I was about to send this news to you.

But I could not leave him alone here.

By the way, the doctor has administered an injection

but he is still shivering.

Aunt!

Ratan, nothing will happen to you.

I won't let anything happen to you.

I am with you.

And the medicine that the doctor has prescribed

is magical.

You will be fine in no time.

Aunt!

Aunt!

Aunt!

He is in pain.

Aunt!

Father-in-law, he is not at all fine.

How can we leave him alone in this condition?

His father-in-law is there to look after him.

We are not needed here.

He will be fine!

Aunt!

Ratan!

Tell me.

What do you want?

I will get it for you.

What should I do

in order to make you feel better?

Aunt!

'Please tell me, Ratan.'

'Who loves you the most?'

'My aunt.'

'She gives me a glass of milk.'

'And she does what I ask her to.'

'Most importantly, she narrates new stories to me.'

Stories! You love stories, right?

This one..

Shall I narrate the story of a mermaid?

Aunt!

There was a beautiful mermaid.

She lived in an ocean.

Aunt!

'One who gulps down the entire glass of milk in one go'

'will always be strong and healthy.'

'Aunt! - Come, dear.'

'Aunt. - Yes. - Look, I've grown'

'a moustache now.'

'When will you get a beautiful bride for me?'

'Come. Come here.'

'Ratan, say it softly. If your mom hears you'

'she will scold both of us. - But Aunt'

'why would mom scold us?'

'What problem would she have with my beautiful bride?'

'When sons get married they tend to get won over'

'by their wives and they forget their mothers.'

'Aunt, I can never forget you.'

'I will always be on your side. I promise!'

'Do you mean it? - Certainly I do..'

'Aunt, even you promise me'

'that you will never forget me.'

'I promise.'

Aunt..

Aunt..

Aunt..

'Hello, Ratan? - He is busy right now.'

'He will talk to you later. - Fine. Who are you?'

'I'm Diya.'

Why did you stop me like this?

Ratan is severely ill.

And despite that, he is looking for just you.

Please meet him once.

You're with him, aren't you?

You mean more than his dear ones to him now.

I'm not needed anymore.

Let's go, Jhumki. - But Ratan..

He needs just you.

He wants you.

And I can never take his aunt's place.

Aunt..

Aunt..

Aunt..

Ma'am, honestly speaking

I think he is not able to fall asleep.

If you could recite him a story..

There was a king

who got lost one day.

He kept repeating one question

'Where am I?'

And then, he turned back and went to his fairy.

But he didn't find his fairy anywhere.

A cuckoo told him

that the fairy was just an illusion.

Thank you, Aunt.

All my efforts went in vain.

He still doesn't know

that fairies exist just in stories.

It's only a hallucination, an illusion

which definitely breaks someday.

Fairies don't exist in reality.

It is just a mirage.

May the Goddess be auspicious unto us.

Good bye.

Sister-in-law..

You have got her so scared..

Do you think she'll be able to muster enough courage

to come to her in-laws'?

By the way, she cannot take care of Ratan.

So, even if she comes here, it won't serve any purpose.

Please wake Diya up.

She has slept after much toil.

She is just a 18-year old.

And see what she has made of herself!

She is just a 18-year old.

How will she take care of Ratan and the household chores?

I have spoken to the priest.

The auspicious time for Diya's welcoming

is after 11 days from today.

Just the way father-n-law had wished..

We have to follow the traditions

and welcome her grandly.

On the 12th day from today, the decorated palanquin

will be sent from Mr. Sajjan's place.

Every preparation should be grand.

Dear.

Think of it again.

It's a so-called in-law's place for her

but as we saw, it is nothing better than a morass.

They were just so dominating with Diya!

They did all that in front of us.

God knows how they will behave when we are not there.

No!

I won't send Diya to that place.

How will she be safe

where even Ratan is not?

And how will she protect him there?

You two did what you wanted by getting them married.

Enough now!

I won't take it anymore.

Dear.

What do you think?

Don't I have a heart?

Don't I see what's happening around me?

But we must not forget our customs and traditions.

To heck with all that!

I am a mother

and I won't let all this harm her!

Yes, I agree

that he had saved Diya's life.

And in return

he made her promise to protect Ratan.

But I have had enough of all this now.

God knows what all they'll plan

in the span of these 12 days.

Diya will fall a victim to their conspiracies.

The preparations will be done..

But will the welcoming ceremony take place?

Anyway, Ratan won't be able to stay there for long.

He is not used to staying away from you.

Let's see what Sajjan does now.

Ratan won't be able to stay here.

I don't know about all this!

I will never send Diya to that house

come what may!

Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaage - ये मोह मोह के धागे - Ep 91 - 25th July, 2017 - Duration: 20:06.

Why are you holding this bowl of Dal?

I'm thinking of pouring it on your head.

Why?

I was starving from a long time.

I was waiting for you for food.

Why were you waiting?

Because I am your wife.

I was trying to act like a good wife

and it is the duty of a wife to wait for her husband for food

and it is the duty of a husband to inform his wife

if he is not coming home for food.

But I am not used to somebody

waiting for me for food.

Get used to it then.

You are a married man

and not a wanderer who will eat anywhere.

He had his food.

Raj.

Did you see what happened?

I saw everything.

You guys will never stop fighting, will you?

Couldn't you inform her through someone

that you won't come home for food?

I made a mistake. I'm sorry.

Say sorry to her and not to me. Come on.

Raj.

Aru.

Ms. Saanvi.

I have brought something for both of you.

Both of you always be like this.

Keep smiling.

Life has the habit of putting us in trouble.

But you can win it only with a smile

and not by crying.

So, smile together and be happy together.

Take this. This one is for you.

And this is for you.

Why aren't you guys ready yet?

We have to attend Mr. Bhairav's son's engagement

in the evening.

Get ready soon.

Shall we go if you are ready?

We are getting late.

Can't you see that I'm not able to tie this?

Shall I call somebody for your help?

Will you call somebody?

Why?

What are you doing here?

Tie it.

Me?

No, let's do this.

Let's call a battalion to do all this, okay?

Come. Aren't you getting late now?

Okay.

Put your hair in front.

Thank you.

You are welcome.

Arundhati

wear your hair on your back.

W-Why?

Your back is exposed.

Oh!

Shall we go?

Actually, those earrings

would've gone well with this dress.

'When you are ready to give me those rights'

'wear these earrings.'

I knew it. I knew it!

What do you know?

That what is going on in your mind.

What is going on?

I know when I'll have to wear those earrings.

And you are asking me to wear them, today!

Hey!

That's not what I meant.

I really thought.. - I know what you

really were thinking.

Just because once I tried to fulfil my duties

as your wife and waited for you over lunch

you presumed that I am ready for all that.. - No!

Don't even ever think of that.

I don't think on those lines. It's you who think like that.

It never occurred to me.

Only you got those thoughts.

That's why, you cling to me the whole night

at times, you cling to my hands and at times to my legs.

Oh! As if

only I do such things. You never do anything, right?

No, what do I do? You do all that.

If I had proof, then I would've held it to your face.

There would've been proof, only if I had done all that.

What's this now?

The bride is upset with her groom.

She is upset!

Let her be upset.

Had I known all this happens after marriage

then I would've never agreed.

I am going.

If you are ready, then come.

He could've shown me only if there had been a proof.

He will get the proof today.

The recording will start after three hours.

Then we will come to know

who clings to whom?

Yes!

Hello, Mr. Raidhan. Ms. Arundhati.

Hello. - Hello.

Hello.

Hello, Mr. Raidhan. - Hello.

Hello.

Hello, Mr. Raidhan. - Welcome.

Ms. Arundhati, you are looking very pretty.

Please come.

Please come in, Mr. Raidhan.

Okay. Mr. Mastana.

Please come in, Mr. Raidhan. Come on in.

You are staring at Ms. Arundhati in presence of everyone!

That..

All men are inside. Come, let's go.

Let me first wish Mr. Bhairav's son.

He too is inside.

Hello, Mr. Raidhan.

Congratulations. - He is my son.

It's okay.. - Get some water.

Here, Mastana, take it.

Get some water.

Have a seat. Be seated.

Show me your hand.

You know what you're supposed to do, don't you?

What are you saying? Today?

In presence of Mr. Raidhan! - He will not come to know.

How many packets are there? Three.

Put them in six glasses.

Add them to the rose flavoured milk.

We'll mix in it and have fun.

Come on, go now.

Are you taking the flavoured milk?

How many have you finished? - Two.

Even I am having my second glass. It's weird.

I am not feeling high.

What high are you talking about Arjun?

Give me a glass.

Crop, it is not growing high.

Oh, crop! If it rains

it will grow high. It will definitely grow high.

You have it. You too will get high.

Come here..

Mr. Raidhan.. I'll handle her.

Hey, whose wife is she?

Hey, whose wife is she?

Where is Aru?

Aru. - Hey, Raidhan!

I am here, upstairs.

Hey, Aru.

Get down.

Hey.. What are you up to?

Come down stairs.

Come on, get down.

What are you up to?

I am going to

jump now.

Hey, wait, wait.. Wait.

Wait.

Rami! What happened?

What happened, Sister-in-law Rami?

I'm going to jump, Raidhan!

I will help you get down. Stay there.

It's not coming down.

You are really high.

You should go. She might jump.

Come down. - No!

I will

commit suicide!

Aru!

Look.. Don't hit me.

What happened?

Hey! Stop..

Stop, Aru.

Stop, Aru.

Raidhan.

You can catch really well.

Why don't you play cricket?

Let go of me, Basanti!

We are home. - I will live, till the time you dance!

Dance, Basanti!

Dance! Just dance.

Oh.. Come, sit. - No..

We will dance later. Sit down.

I'll get some water. Don't fall.

Dance at least, Basanti!

Dance..

Greetings, Sister-in-law Rami!

Greetings, Sister-in-law Rami!

That sounds like a song.

You haven't gone yet.

You didn't leave.

"Greetings, Sister-in-law Rami.."

"Sister-in-law Rami!"

Shut up!

Enough of your drama.

You.. You are the reason

behind my sorrows.

What do you think of yourself?

Are you some queen?

Are you a queen?

You've taken away everything from me.

You've taken my love away from me.

I can't forgive you, Aru.

I had such a good plan to get rid..

Yet, you came back.

You came back again!

Oh, dear! - Why did you do it?

Sister-in-law Rami, what are you doing? - Why?

You were saying this to me this afternoon. - Why?

Now, you are saying it to Aru. - Why?

Why did she do it? - I explained it

you shouldn't say this to Sister-in-law.

I'd explained it, didn't I?

Just be quiet, otherwise, everything will be ruined.

Did you understand?

Did you?

I explained it to her. She has understood.

What were you saying? Taken away your love.

Who has taken away her love?

Which love?

Who.. Yes!

Sister-in-law Aru, took away her beloved.

The love that she had for you.

She isn't ready to understand. I explained it

once a brother is married

then a sister feels that love has been..

Stay here. I am speaking.

I am speaking.

So, she has brought you up.

She had her rights over you.

She feels that love has been divided.

That's why she is feeling this.

She isn't ready to understand. It's my fault.

It's my fault.

I couldn't explain it properly.

'This isn't just a hand.'

'It's like a noose, Gabbar!'

How many times?

How many times..

How many times?

Calm down.

What does she mean?

'What is Rami trying to say?'

How To Choose Hashtags for Your Event - Duration: 12:43.

Are you planning an event? Have you picked your unique hashtag for your

event? If not let's look at a few reasons why you need a unique hashtag and how

you're going to make sure it really is unique.

Hi I'm Sheryl Loch with Ginger Roots Media and I'm here with... Hi guys

Lany Sullivan with Events by Lany and we're talking hashtags. This reminds me

of that YouTube video that Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake did "hashtag" right

if you ever, go watch it.. never mind. So anyway, hashtags for an event. They

need to be unique! But let's talk about how do we even figure out what our

hashtag is? [Sheryl] Well for one you're going to want something identifiable with your

event. You want it to resonate with people why your using that hashtag. You

don't want to use rainbow unicorns when your event probably isn't about rainbow

unicorns, but if it is that could be your hashtag. So if it's not identifiable with

you it's out! Another thing you want to keep in mind SHORT! Rainbow unicorn

probably isn't that great, because A. it's long B. it's something somebody could

misspell easily, so you want to keep it short and you want to easy to remember.

So just using random letters or if you have an event for your event has some

misspellings that resonates with your brand granite, other people attending

your event may not remember that you've left out letters or added letters or

have double letters or god only knows what. [Lany] Exactly! When we talked about

Facebook pages and setting up your accounts, we talked about

not putting in the year on those. But, can we put a year in on hashtags? [Sheryl] Absolutely!

In fact that's great. If you have a short hashtag,

that is the initials of your event or something short then you put 2017 that's

going to be great, because then people are going to know that's this year's

event. Because when you start searching these hashtag there's a good chance

you're going to find them from if it's an event that's happened years before or

somebody else's use that hashtag years ago you're going to want them to

identify with current now happenings. So you can use an event or a hashtag in

your event hashtag not so much in your pages. If you miss that go check that out

before you do that. [Lany] And you'll notice the bigger conferences they do that.

They'll do SEMrush 17, MOZcon 16, MarketingProfs 15. So you'll see the big

conferences and you can always take a cue from the conference's. The ones you

know, these guys have been putting on conferences for you know 5, 10, 15 years

take you know, your main cue from them on some of the stuff. Because if they're

doing it, they've probably figured out what works. [Sheryl] Well yeah, if they haven't

they should watch this will tell them. [Lany] Yes! [Sheryl] So yeah, there's a lot of things if

you go on to Twitter or Instagram, Facebook any of those when you know

there's a big conference. Go in and start looking at what they're doing and that's

huge on social media. Not just for hashtags, but just how they're conducting

everything, so that's super important. One thing I want to say when we talked about

making it unique. Oh unique it's good, but what you think is unique may not be

unique. So before you decide on a hashtag and start labeling everything I mean you

should be labeling your images all of your messages that are going out should

have this hashtag, so that your attendees, all of your people get accustomed to

seeing it, they want to feel included they're going to start using it. So

before you start putting it out as your hashtag,

as I say your hashtag, you can't own a hashtag, so get over that. But the

hashtag you're going to use ,I want you to go on every social platform there is

and start searching that hashtag, if you have a list or narrowed it down. Go

on Google and search. Search YouTube, search Facebook, search everywhere for

this hashtag. [Lany] Hashtagify as well and there's some other hashtag

services you can use just a double check. [Sheryl] Because if you pick a hashtag and later

find out that it's connected [Lany] to a porn show yeah problem. [Sheryl] Yeah you don't want to

be associated with certain people. You also want to look at if you find

hashtags, from say, a year ago. That are using it they're not a bad site, they

seem like okay people, the little bit of confusion would not be a big deal. But

you want to look at the dates of all of those messages, because if you're holding

your event in the same proximity of time that they are, you could have mass

confusion. [Lany] And mixed messages to your audience. [Sheryl] Some of these hashtag people for events

will use these hashtags for six months, nine months, even a year. They use it all

the time, so watch that or you could be in, even though they're not a bad event

you're just mixed in and your messages are going to be lost. They're going to

think you're spammers it's going to cause some confusion. So watch your time

span, also if you do find someone using it. [Lany] And I would double-check like if

you have somebody doing the research for you, unless you have a Sheryl in your

life, I would double check all hashtag work to make sure. Because someone like

Sheryl will double and triple and quadruple check. I could say that

because I worked with her and I get slapped every once in a while, because I do stupid shit.

But the thing is, you want to make sure that you don't entrust that to

somebody that you really truly aren't confident that they've

searched everything, and gone really deep into some of these

things. Because you could be connected to it like Sheryl, an event that you

really don't have any association with and that hurts your visibility in your

brand online. [Sheryl] Yeah and the thing is, if you have a graphic designer, if you have

someone editing your videos, anybody that you're paying to do some stuff with, that

you're going to want them to add that hashtag too, if you start paying them to

make your images, to do your videos, to do your social media, your website, blog

posts, anything and you're using that hashtag and in a couple weeks you go oh

crap that hashtag won't work we have to change it. Guess what, that's not included

in the price, for you not doing your research ahead of time. So before you

pass that hashtag out, like Lany said, you check it no matter what. I don't care if

I even give it to you, go check it yourself, because that's a lot of

money. [Lany] I don't checkit when she gives it tome. [Sheryl] That's okay, I know that about you, so I just go. But the

thing is to redo is more money, especially if you've involved print,

you've involved signage for your event. [Lany] Anything and everything yeah [Sheryl] Big money.

[Lany] And once you have your hashtag figured out, then like blow it out. You know

that everybody has it. Make sure your speakers have it, make sure your

attendees are using it, encourage them to use it. Do contest to get them active

and involved in that hashtag. Make sure they're using it during the live event

that's one thing that the big conferences do really well and people [Sheryl] Not all of them.

[Lany] Well no not all of them. I think the ones that I follow

mostly because I pay attention to the big ones that I follow. But

you'll see pictures on you know on Twitter with the hashtag and people have

really figured out how to maximize the hashtag. But the smaller

events, the smaller business owner, I'm sorry, but you haven't

figured it out. You haven't gotten your tribe to use your hashtags, so get your

tribe to use your hashtags. Get them to engage on Twitter, because you can get

some trending, that's branding. That's brand visibility when

you can get your entire audience and all of your speakers and everybody involved

in the event moving that hashtag on Twitter. So

there's really some power there so use it. [Sheryl] I would say, go as far as whenever you

email these people, your attendees, your group of people, your followers, tell

them this is the hashtag we're using. Because if you've hired a social media

manager or if you're trying to do it yourself, which I find crazy, but even you

are, the way that people are going to be able to follow this, be it get your

questions answered, share updates, share the whole event itself. Is by looking at

that hashtag! So me as a social media manager, when I've done that for events,

what I'm going to do is, I'm not going to go and start searching for oddball crap

on all these social sites. You can't afford for me to do that, so what I'm

going to do is. I'm going to go in and I'm going to sling the hashtag in a

search and then I can see who do I want to reshare, who do I need to answer a

question - who needs a link, did someone have a problem on the site, maybe the

site was down or your pay button wasn't working. God only knows what, but that comes

on the customer service end of social media. But it's all done through that

hashtag. So if you're thinking silly hashtag, I don't need it, people will send

me a direct message if they need something. No they won't!

And if they have a complaint, [Lany] It's going right on Twitter. [Sheryl] Let me tell you

what, any complaints are going right online and a lot of people may not

include you, at you, tag you. They'll use a hashtag just because.

So there's a lot a lot more to hashtags than just, you know, the old

they're no big deal. They play a huge role so, pick them wisely. Get your

people to use them, everybody needs to use them that's involved and monitor

them. That's the biggest thing, monitor that! [Lany] YYeah because you can get some

really great testimonials and you know future use out of that content too. So I

mean we could go on and on and on so. [Sheryl] I love hashtags!

[Lany] There's so many actually. [Sheryl] The Minions hashtag! Did you see that? [Lany] I love that, go type

in hashtag minions and see what happens. [Sheryl] On Twitter. [Lany] It's exciting!

Alright so, I think we've pretty much covered as much as we want to give you
