Youtube daily Feb 6 2019

In this video, I'm going to show you how you can connect a Contact Form 7 to Google Tag

Manager so you can successfully track a form submission and forward this on to your facebook

Pixel, Google Analytics, or Google Ads.

All and more, coming up.

Hey there and welcome back to another video of measureschool.com teaching you the data-driven

way of digital marketing.

My name is Julian.

And on this channel, we do marketing tech tips, tutorials, and tips and tricks just

like this one.

So if you haven't yet, consider subscribing.

Today, I want to talk about how you can connect a Contact Form 7 to Google Tag Manager.

And then we can track our form submissions, and also the different form fields that go

into that and forward this all on to our Facebook Pixel to Google Analytics or to Google Ads.

Now, we got lots to cover so let's dive in.

So here we have a contact form 7 on our demo shop here.

And this is a standard contact form 7 that I've installed onto this WordPress blog.

So if you do the same, it would look maybe something like this.

Or completely different depending on how you set up your form.

And this is a standard form.

So you can fill it out here with some test data and send it off.

I have a field here, what are you interested in, this will become important later.

Let's send this off.

And we get our little message down here that this message was received and sent on.

Now, this is where a lot of form tracking methods trip up because it actually doesn't

redirect the user on to a thank you page.

But just gives us this message down here, especially for contact form 7.

There's actually something that the plugin does by itself.

And this is in mid DOM events.

What our DOM events?

These are events that are emitted in the JavaScript runtime environment.

So there are events emitted such as the WP CF 7 invalid if the AJAX form completion has

not been completed successfully.

And some other events.

What we're interested in is the submitted event that actually fires when the form submission

has completed successfully.

And in order to listen to such events, we need a little bit of JavaScript.

They describe this down here.

Now, we can try this all out by just copying these lines of code, going over to our Contact

Form seven, opening up the developer tools, which you can do on the more tools.

And here are the developer tools.

And then when we go to the console, it will give us access to the JavaScript runtime environment.

And here, we can enter our code.

And when the event is submitted, we'll be able to fire something called alert fire.

You will see in a second, but this is all about, I will enter another line of code,

the console log

to

see what event details are transferred over into JavaScript that's presented here.

And this is now listening for the event.

So let's go ahead and send off another contact form submit

and send this off.

And here we now see the alert.

So this is already working.

This is a JavaScript alert fire, OK.

And now, it should also have push something into the console here.

And here, we see a custom event was fired.

And we have all kinds of event details.

I want to show you that we actually have data about the contact form itself in this detail

object here.

And we have data about the contact form ID, so the ID that our Contact Form holds.

And then also about the input fields and how they were filled out.

So we have information about the name, we have information about the subject.

And also information about this last point here, what the user has filled out, what are

you interested in product.

And that can be found here as well.

This is really useful because we can pull this all into Google Tag Manager

later on if we choose it.

So just with this little JavaScript here, we can do already a lot.

And in order to make this work with Google Tag Manager, we just need to install this

little JavaScript inside of a listener functionality.

I have already prepared this here, here's a contact form 7 event listener.

And I will have this code that I've written here, linked up down below.

And here,

we can see that this is the same code more or less, we are listening to the form Submit.

And then we actually pushing something into the data layer.

And this is how we communicate with Google Tag Manager.

So from JavaScript to Google Tag Manager, we push data into the data layer in order

for us to be able to get the form ID, but also the field inputs into the data layer,

and then fill our tags later on.

Now, this part just listens to the contact form and pushes data into the data layer if

the right event happens.

So we can deploy this on all pages, no problem.

Or you could also narrow this down to only the pages where you have a contact form installed.

So let's try this out.

Let's go into our preview and debug mode.

And let's go over to our Contact Form reload that.

Let's close the developer tools here.

And we get all familiar Google Tag Manager debug console.

And we have our event listener deployed.

Now let's go ahead and fill out a test again,

send this off.

And you might have seen in the debug console that we now have a form submit right here

in our Google Tag Manager debug console.

When we click on that, we can actually look at the data layer and see what information

has been transferred.

And we have the event, form submit, we have our form ID, and we have our different fields

that were submitted as well.

So this is really useful if you want to pull out and put this into a tag.

Now, how do you build a tag deployment out of this?

Since this pushes data into the data layer, we first of all would need to build a trigger

of that every time a form submit happens in the data layer.

So let's go ahead in Google Tag Manager and go into our triggers,

and then build a custom trigger for our form submit.

We'll choose our custom event, as the event is custom to our data layer.

And we'll put in our form Submit.

And that's already it, we can now click on Save, and have built a trigger based on the

successful form Submit.

Now let's build some variables.

Because we want to pull out some data here, for example, the form ID or the fields menu

597 with the product name here with the interest of the user, what are you interested in.

So we can use that in our tag deployment as well.

Let's go over to Google Tag Manager and build new variables.

And these are data layer variables.

So a data layer variable for our form ID, and we simply need to use data layer variable

here and right, the right key in here, in this case, it would be form ID,

all right.

And let's also build a data layer variable for our interest here.

And in this case, it's a bit tricky because we need to actually get into this fields array,

and then choose the right number here, in order to pull out the right value in our case

would be 012345 starts at zero.

So the last number of this array is the number five.

And then we want to get to the value of this data layer of this object.

So we'll get to product.

Let's try this out.

First of all, we want to get fields, and then a dot, the number five and the value.

Let's save this and refresh, just so we can see how everything is filled.

Let's try this out.

And this time, I'm going to use service here.

Let's send this off.

We get our form submit in the data layer.

And in the variables we should now see our dlv form interest is service.

So this was correctly changed.

And then our form ID is the form ID of our form that was submitted.

Now that we have the data that we want to transfer over to our tags available.

Let's build some tags.

First of all, let's start out building a Google Analytics tag.

In this case, it would be useful to use a Google Analytics event tag

for form Submit.

And we'll choose Universal Analytics.

And as a track type we'll choose event.

And here we're gonna type in our category in our case would be always the same.

And let's transfer over the actual contact form ID.

I'm going to fill this out with our variable as well.

And then as the label, let's put in the interest.

So we have that available as well.

So that should be filled out dynamically based on what the user has entered.

Now, you might be asking, why isn't he sending over the other details, for example, the name

or the email that's actually considered personal identifiable information.

And it's prohibited by the terms of service of Google Analytics to be sent over.

So don't make the mistake of sending any kind of personal identifiable information over.

With our interests, that is fine.

So we would be able to know how many people have first of all submitted the form but then

also be able to segment or to filter down on the specific interests that the user have.

The other day can be left the same.

If you have a settings variable, you can utilize that here.

If you don't have a settings variable, you can enter your tracking ID, let's see, here's

the tracking ID, put it in here.

And then as a trigger will choose our contact custom form submit trigger.

Let's save this and refresh.

And let's try this out again.

This time I choose consultation.

Let's send this off.

We see

our form submit happened, our Google Analytics event form submit happened.

And in our Google Analytics, real-time reporting, we should see a new event.

Yes, they're just an new event that happened a form submit of the form ID 771.

And if you click on that you see the interest was consultation.

So everything is working from this part.

And we could go ahead and deploy this to allow users, I want to show you how you can also

connect the same data to a Facebook event.

So here I have a Facebook event form submission.

If I click on it, you can enter something like this, this will check a form submit an

event called form submit, and then we can enter the interest.

And again here we can utilize our variable with the two curly brackets and choose dlv

form nterest in the drop down menu.

And this will then be transferred over to Facebook that's attached to right trigger

and save this.

And the same is true for a Google Ads conversion tag that you might want to fire upon this

form Submit.

And here I have a conversion ID from my account the conversion label from my account.

And I simply want to fire this on our custom form submit.

Let's save this and try out these new events.

So let's fill this out again.

And I'm going to service, send this off.

We have a form submit here we see our Facebook event five or Google Ads event fired and our

Google Analytics event fired.

You can also see that in our tag assistant, we have our Google Ads conversion tracking

that fired and our Google Analytics event hit.

Then we have our facebook pixel as well.

A form submit was transferred with a custom parameter interest of service.

And so you could for example, retarget or build an audience of users who have chosen

service in your form and send that off.

Don't forget at the end, this is not yet live.

It's just happening in your browser.

You still need to submit this as a version so it goes live to all your users.

All right, so there you have it.

This is how you can connect your contact from seven to Google Tag Manager and then forward

this on to the tags that you choose.

If you found this interesting, then please give us a thumbs up and if you have any more

questions, leave them in the comments down below.

And if you haven't yet, consider subscribing right over there.

And I'll see you in the next one.

My name is Julian.

Till next time.

Ana Navarro Says Trump Has Taken the Republican Party Hostage - Duration: 4:37.

-Welcome to the show, Ana. -Thank you.

-I am very happy to have you here.

For those who don't know, you were a Republican strategist.

You worked for Jeb Bush. You worked for John McCain.

You were not a fan of President Trump.

You said you might even boycott tonight's State of the Union,

but you had to watch it for work.

So did you watch it?

-I watched it because I was coming

to talk about it with you.

-Thank you. So tonight I was the work.

-If not, I would have been watching

"Orange is the New Black,"

which actually maybe the State of the Union

with Trump is orange is the new black.

-There might be something to that.

It's actually nice to get out here --

have you here without a crowded panel.

You're often on a CNN panel

where I don't know how you guys get in a word edgewise.

Here you are on a panel recently.

You were actually just eating popcorn.

[ Laughter ]

-And I think I'm gonna have to get some more popcorn

to get through the next two years.

-So what did you think tonight?

-What did I think?

I thought -- I thought he sounded like Sybil.

You know? He had multiple personalities in his head.

So part of the speech, if you had landed here from Mars,

all of the sudden, and heard the opening of the speech

and the closing of the speech,

you would have thought this guy is a unifier.

He's an inspiring leader. He's a healer. He's bipartisan.

Of course, we've actually been awake and living here

for the last three years.

So we know that that's an Oscar-winning performance.

And then the middle of the speech was Trump being Trump.

Trump being the Trump that we know,

obsessed with demonizing immigrants,

you know, being partisan, and so I think --

I think that's a lot of what we had come to expect.

And the problem -- you know, the problem is

you only get one chance to make a first impression.

We already know this guy. -Right.

-So no matter how much Kumbahyah he sings,

the front of the speech and the back of the speech, we know.

-He's gonna sing "Kumbahyah"

but then push you into the fire, basically.

-Right. "Here, be my human wall."

-You're an immigrant. You were also a Republican.

[ Applause ]

Does it -- I mean, how is it for you to hear him

framing immigrants, continuing to frame them as this, you know,

evil that is sort of besetting this country?

-Well, unless you've been living in

the International Space Station for two years,

you know how I feel about it.

-Yeah.

-It pisses me off. It angers me. It frustrates me.

I think it's -- it's using people

like Dream Act kids as political pawns.

It is really inflaming the racists, the discrimination,

and the divisions in this country.

I get sick of him doing nothing but demonizing immigrants,

except the ones he marries.

[ Cheers and applause ]

-Do you feel, though, you know, you say --

-I don't know even know why you're asking me.

I get so pissed off. [ Laughter ]

Get me some popcorn. -I'll get you some popcorn.

It does seem, though, he has brought

the Republican Party with him,

or some might argue the Republican Party

was waiting for him this whole time.

Because you watch the State of the Union tonight,

you don't get the sense that the Republican Party

is upset by anything that he's trying to sell out there.

Do you feel as though the Republican Party

that you were a part of is lost forever

or do you actually hope it's gonna come back?

-Look, I hope it comes back,

because I think that for my community, for women,

for all Americans,

it is much better when you have two strong, healthy parties

competing for our vote, earning our support

as opposed to one party that takes you for granted

and another party that openly antagonizes and attacks you.

So I think we all would be better

if we had two good parties fighting for our votes.

[ Cheers and applause ]

You know, dinosaurs were not roaming the Earth

when George W. Bush got 44% of the Hispanic vote.

-Right.

-You know, so I look at it, and I think that, you know,

we've got to get back to a place where it's not

this broken Republican Party that we are seeing.

I feel he has taken the Republican Party hostage.

It's been a hostile takeover, except that now these are --

they're willing fools,

allowing themselves to be taken for a ride by a guy

who is really an elitist liberal New Yorker

pretending to be a conservative.

He's not. -No, he's not.

But he's doing a great job.

He's a far better actor than I ever thought he was.

Ana Navarro Takes Wedding Vows Very Seriously - Duration: 3:13.

-Welcome back to "Late Night." We're here with Ana Navarro.

This is very exciting. You're getting married next month.

-I'm getting married next month.

-Congratulations. You seem very calm.

-It's medication. -It's medication.

How do you feel? I mean, a month out,

I feel like most of the planning should be done.

Do you feel like you're good?

-Look, I'm Hispanic.

Of course, most of the planning is not done.

-Okay. -My dress is not done.

I could just go through a list.

I've totally skipped past Bridezilla.

I'm somewhere between a hybrid

between Blue the raptor from "Jurassic Park"

and Meg, the prehistoric ginormous shark.

-Okay, got you. -So, you know, I'm excited.

I'm happy about it.

But I will tell you, it is another job.

I told my fiancé, this really is till death do us part,

even if it means I have to kill him.

Because I am not doing this again.

-Yeah. I went through it. My wife was amazing.

She put this incredible thing together.

Has he been good? Has he been patient?

Does he sort of defer to you on all decisions?

-I don't do -- make decisions by committee.

-Okay, got you.

-There is one person in charge, one person only.

-Interesting. -He is on a need-to-know basis.

And he doesn't need to know anything.

-Gotcha.

-Other than when he needs to show up.

-Have you even given him the time and the location yet,

or is that closer to the day?

-Look, he knows the time, the location, what he's got to wear,

and he's supposed to be working on some marital vows right now.

-Okay, gotcha. Are you nervous at all?

-Maybe you can help him. -I would love to help.

-How's your Spanish? -My Spanish?

Well, I could just use Google Translate, right?

Is he someone -- Do you have any nerves about him

giving embarrassing vows or anything like that?

-No.

My only nerves is that he's going to get emotional,

which then is going to make me emotional,

and then it's going to make my makeup run,

and that's going to be a disaster.

-That's a bad thing.

Do you have any family

that you're worried might embarrass you on the big day?

-No. My family won't embarrass me.

My friends, on the other hand, are completely different.

-Gotcha. Big wedding? -I don't know.

What's -- That's so relative. What's big these days?

-300 is big.

-Okay, then, it's a medium-sized wedding.

-Okay. Gotcha. That's good to know.

But the food, everything --

-What's your advice, marital advice for me?

How long have you been married?

-I've been married five years.

[ Cheers and applause ] Thank you.

-Which, in Hollywood terms, is --

-Forever, yeah. We've been married forever.

She's not in Hollywood, though, so it's kind of normal.

I'm also not in Hollywood. I couldn't get arrested there.

But I think it's the cliché thing,

but just you have to be a really good listener.

And I feel like -- I feel like you being on those CNN panels

where eight people are talking at once

is really good practice for being married.

-Actually, you can kind of meditate yourself out of there.

-Yeah. There you go. Well, congratulations on that.

Thank you for making time for us tonight.

I really appreciate it. Ana Navarro, everybody.

Người Giàu Nhất Trung Quốc là Một Đảng Viên Cộng Sản | Trung Quốc Không Kiểm Duyệt - Duration: 10:05.

China's richest man is a Communist!

A top executive from Huawei gets arrested in Canada.

And finally,

the Pope's deal with the devil has gone sour.

Who would've thought?

This is China Uncensored.

Welcome back to China Uncensored,

I'm your host Chris Chappell.

You know, as I always say,

just because you're a communist,

doesn't mean ya can't make a little profit.

And that's why I applaud Jack Ma.

The billionaire founder of Alibaba Jack Ma

was accidentally outed as a Communist Party member

by Party mouthpiece People's Daily

in a list it published of "100 Chinese people

who had made extraordinary contributions

to the country's development over the last 40 years."

Now Ma had always been a bit vague about

his relationship with the Communist Party.

In fact, Ma even gave the advice to his employees

that when dealing with the government,

"Love them, don't marry them."

Easier said than done.

I'd be his Christopher Robin any day.

Now as a Party member,

Jack Ma would be required to put

the Party's interests above all else.

And of the Party's interest, is interest!

Party members have to pay Party dues—2%.

And since Ma is worth over 35 billion dollars,

that's a lot Party interest.

Ma isn't alone.

"A recent survey found that one-third

of China's private-sector entrepreneurs

are party members."

The question is, why did Jack Ma get outed now?

Earlier this year,

Jack Ma announced he was retiring as Alibaba CEO,

leading many to speculate he was being forced out by the Party.

Which I get.

The only thing more common than a rich Communist,

is a purged Communist.

And in Xi Jinping's anti-corruption campaign,

a lot of people who used to be untouchable have been taken down.

Though typically the way it works is

you don't go for the big guy,

you go for smaller people and work your way up.

So I wouldn't worry too much about Ma.

Unless lower level guys in Alibaba were getting arrested and...

Oh.

Well, stay tuned to China Uncensored for updates.

Speaking of rich Chinese people,

the CFO of Chinese tech giant Huawei has been arrested in Canada.

Her name is Meng Wanzhou.

She's the daughter of Huawei's founder.

The US wants to extradite her to face charges in New York.

She's suspected of violating US trade sanctions

by shipping US-made items to Iran.

Canadian authorities apparently nabbed her

while she was transferring flights at the Vancouver airport.

Which is why you should always fly nonstop.

Meanwhile, in Australia,

a well placed member of parliament

turned out to have some pretty shady connections

to the Chinese Communist Party.

This is West Australia's Labor MP Pierre Yang.

He said that when he was filling out

his parliamentary register of interests—

he "overlooked" declaring his memberships

in the Northeast China Federation Inc

and the Association of Great China.

He even was a legal adviser

for those groups until August 2017,

several months after his parliamentary term

started in May of 2017.

The problem is,

both of those organizations

are linked to the Chinese Communist Party.

And this follows a disturbingly similar pattern of the Party

getting people who share its interests into

the Australian government and society.

And not everyone in the Australian government

believes that Yang merely overlooked his membership.

"I find Mr Yang's excuse that he 'overlooked' his membership

of two associations which promote the foreign policy interests

of the Chinese Government to be highly improbable.

All incoming members of Parliament are briefed

by the clerks about their disclosure responsibilities."

It's even less likely since he was

the Government's whip in the Legislative Council.

So he should have known the laws.

Now, West Australia's Premier Mark McGowan

has says he vouches for Yang's character.

But recently, two other Australian government officials

were revealed to have connections to the same group.

Over the last two years,

more and more evidence has come out that

the Chinese Communist Party is trying to influence

politics in Australia.

But I mean, I understand.

Chinese money is very tempting.

And no one knows that better

than Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.

While the rest of the European Union

is scrutinizing Chinese investment,

China's Belt and Road initiative has found support in Portugal.

And when Chinese leader Xi Jinping came to visit this week,

president de Sousa was literally drooling over Chinese money.

Let's see that again.

But it's not just Australia and Europe

the Chinese Communist Party is trying to influence.

According to this new report

from top China experts in the United States,

Beijing is trying to do the same in the US.

The report says, "While Americans are well acquainted with

China's quest for influence through the projection of diplomatic,

economic, and military power,

we are less aware of the myriad ways Beijing

has more recently been seeking cultural and informational influence,

some of which could undermine our democratic processes."

The goal is to not only

"redefine China's place in the world as a global player,

but they also have put forward the notion of a 'China option'

that is claimed to be a more efficient developmental model

than liberal democracy"

I mean, I've only been saying that for the past six years.

And they didn't cite me at all.

But hey, it's cool.

But even as China tries to influence America,

it's still the US that brings home the bacon.

China is suffering from a severe case of swine flu.

This little piggy went to market,

this little piggy stayed home,

and this little piggy became patient zero and had to be shot.

Now even though China has put tariffs on US pork

as retaliation for the trade war,

China is dealing with a major shortage of pork.

And Chinese people love pork.

The written character for family is literally a pig in a home.

China imported almost 10 thousand tons of American pork

just for the week of November 22.

"This represents a 72 percent share of all

U.S. pork export deals during that week."

Although it makes sense when you realize the pork shortage

could also be due to the large number of Uighur Muslims

under surveillance who now love eating pork.

Twitter is banned in China,

but that hasn't stopped some Chinese netizens

from having personal Twitter accounts.

But recently,

Chinese Twitter users have been invited to tea with police,

and then forced to close their accounts.

The good news is, this ban does not include

the Twitter accounts belonging state-run media,

like China Daily, People's Daily,

Xinhua, Global Times, and CGTN.

And finally, hey Vatican,

you know how you made that deal with the Chinese Communist Party

that has been persecuting Christians since, like the beginning?

It might have been a bad idea.

In September, Pope Francis agreed to recognize 7 bishops

appointed by the officially atheist Chinese Communist Party.

In exchange,

the Party said it would recognize the authority of the Vatican.

Well, guess what?

The Party lied.

And now one of the bishops the Pope appointed

has been "disappeared."

Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal.

You know I feel like I get to use that clip a lot on this show.

Look, I know the Pope is a Liberation Theologist,

which is sort of a synthesis between

Christian theology and Marxism.

But it seems the Vatican is learning the hard way

that a deal with the Communist Party

might just be a deal with the devil.

What do you think?

Leave your comments below.

And before you go,

now is the time when I answer questions from fans

who support China Uncensored

on the crowd funding website Pateron..

Evan Rillera Marsh asks,

"Hey Chris, Is china uncensored biased?

Are there any rules you guys use

when making videos to try and minimize bias?"

Of course I'm biased!

I'm biased in favor of freedom,

and against authoritarian regimes

lying and killing their own citizens.

But this is a good question, Evan.

Even when you're biased like me,

it's important to look at all the facts.

But that doesn't mean giving equal weight

to the side that always lies.

The Chinese Communist Party says

there is no human rights problem in China.

That's a lie.

The Chinese Communist Party says it lifted

millions of people out of poverty.

That's another lie.

And I prefer to directly tell you when someone is lying,

rather than hide behind language

that gives equal weight to both sides.

That being said, on China Uncensored,

we strive to be rigorous with our facts.

We can back up any claim we make.

And when some other media get things wrong,

like the reporting on China's social credit system,

we do our best to make sure we tell the whole story.

Of course, that doesn't mean we're infallible

and we never make mistakes.

But we do our best.

Also, if you ever see a mistake on China Uncensored,

just know that the person who made the mistake was not me.

It was my producer, Matt.

And we're able to keep doing what we do

thanks to support from the fans of the show.

So thanks for your question, Evan.

LEGO Movie 2 Rex's Rex-treme Offroader review! 70826 - Duration: 9:29.

hello everyone this is the lego movie to Rex's Rex-treme off-roader set it is the

cheaper way to get one of the blue-colored velociraptors specific to

the lego movie and that particular version of Velociraptor is also the

version that has the blue ice around rather than the lime green color the two

options that are available the vehicle is a vaguely Jeep like thing

with the tires intentionally backwards I'm assuming well partially to give you

just a little bit of different texture to make it a little bit more alien or

futuristic feeling but also to make it look like they are non pneumatic tires

the type that never go flat now though you have very large tires here you

actually don't get a lot of ground clearance on this for driving over rough

terrain can you see right down there actually gets pretty close to the ground

so if you do want to use this in a rough and tough rough and tumble way to play

with you might want to remove at least a couple of those pieces down there to

free up a little bit of a little bit of clearance for yourself this has the twin

cannons on the back each one appears to be able to shoot two studs but only the

top part is an actual stud shooter that will fire things off these are geared

together you can see the gears down below so that they will turn at the same

time or you can just use your thumb down here to do both of them and once they

are not able to angle up and down no matter what you do unless you customize

it with some different pieces just the stickers are used for this entire this

entire build with one sticker used here on the front and a little splash bit

that's actually a printed piece over there on the side and then you can see a

targeting console sticker in the back for the third seat which means this

towards the rear tended to be used for the gunner and you see the other sticker

over there on the right side console in front of Hemet so the cynical holds

three individuals three minifigures just fine interesting that you can change the

angle of that if you want to change the kind of the feel of this a little bit

off all that much bring nazan particularly look great unless you

again customized and had more stuff down below the build is actually kind of fun

it does have a few areas where there are some small things that you have to put

together it's not the most fun probably for younger kids but overall goes

together pretty well and it is a fully custom build you know this is not

something where you know you're you're starting with a preformed chassis and

just adding some decorations on top here's the Recon Rex asaurus with all

the weapons on the back that's actually a nice quick build for the weapon pack

which I don't know it just kind of has some nice details nice use of parts in

my opinion you can angle this up and down and you have the stud shooters on

the sides one on either side you also have an extra hook up spot where you can

connect another weapon if you build one or I guess you could also just connect a

coffee mug to that as a spare you can also stand a figure on the back of that

if you move this out of the way or rotate it around so face towards the the

rear this is based on this standard Raptor mold set that Lego is used for

quite a number of years now so it has the same articulation or you can make it

go up make it go down towards the ground each individual arm is able to move up

and down a little bit each of those has a bar sized clip so you can hold on to

some things as well the head is able to turn side to side which makes it look

pretty alive to me and you can also open the mouth way wide like that close it up

like that that's pretty much it for this guy or gal this it has just a small

plant amol in it but it's pretty colorful it you know it does its job and

a significant thing here is that this does include a new color for the crab

the same crab mold that's been around for quite a while this is now a lavender

crab so it's just something just something different and interesting that

they only set to have one of these but you know it's cool to have something new

that the glitter colored transferable dish

piece or disk piece and you also get a glitter colored 1x1 cone up there so we

have some interesting colors even though this is a fairly simple thing the

regular mini figures are just Rex and Emmett that's just it I went ahead and

put the black briefcase into one of the hands of Rex there it's a piece that has

a little spot between the seats on the main vehicle a little bit of print for

look it could be gloves or sweat bands you can see them as for Rex there and

then it just gets a flashlight any much all there is for these except for their

alternate faces which are rather different and the others so you know a

good range of expressions I like that face for Rex and the one for Emmett it's

just useful for especially doing custom things anytime you want to have a

character that's really really surprised or freaked out about something so yeah

good stuff you know for what they are now the set comes with two instruction

booklets one lets you build up all the normal stuff that you see here and then

another has within it two additional options for build you can only build one

of these at a time this one here creates the Rexall Sora squad I call it

basically put some wheels on Hanah Velociraptor and this is the is execu

rex asaurus also seen in the trailer and you know just put some usable or more

usable and more articulated arms on the front there and I'm not going to take

apart my main vehicle to put these together there's really not all that

much to see here it's basically just giving you additional inspiration for

doing other things with the pieces that are included in in the set and the

significance for me the biggest significance is that this does have

extra pieces included on it attached to it in its default form in order to help

enable those other forms I mean some of this stuff on the side really isn't

necessary indefinitely some of the stuff on the others

is not necessary some of these pieces you can see if it these have actually

ball joints on them to enable extra arms so I mean you could attach other things

under here if you want to you can use those for other things this is

definitely a good part pack and a good starting point for doing custom builds

speaking of parts here are the extra extra the true spare parts left over at

the end of the build including a three long black bar there these are both

hollow studs got your lightsaber hilt there and this is one of those fairly

useful and fairly interesting though well clear pieces that allows you to put

something stud based into the hand of a figure horizontally yeah just useful

interesting different stuff they also include for extra studs for your stud

shooters and those are official pieces and if you do want to watch me build

this set you can check out the speed build video over on my speed build

channel I will link to that at the end of the video and also in the pinned

comment I would value this set at about 20 maybe $25 us it does include the the

animal which always increases the value and price of things and its actual

suggested retail price is $30 you miss so not too far off from from what I

would expect and certainly if you can get it at just a little bit of a

discount I think you'll be right in the appropriate range I feel like this is

not that exciting of a set by default but it just gives you so many options

you know I don't like either of these but I do like all the pieces that are

included here they just really feel like like I said that they're they're a good

starting point for making your own things or a lot of interesting parts a

lot of small things allow you to adapt in different ways and a lot of those are

hidden away in this build and in that build both and you know you have some

interesting different colors as well so there are some gems within here I think

that this is a good set overall a good Lego set even if you don't like the

default you know suggested build try some other stuff with it I think you

might be able to enjoy it of course it

is a cheap way to get one of these dinosaurs and I do think that those are

pretty cool things to have even outside of the context of a lego movie itself so

that's it for my look at this set then and those are my thoughts let me know if

you have any thoughts of your own you can share them down in the comments

below I will link to the speed build right now and I'll talk to you in soon

LEGO Minecraft BigFigs Series 1: Steve, Alex, Skeleton reviewed! 21148 21149 21150 - Duration: 16:45.

hello everyone this is a look at three separate products together in one video

I put them together because each one is fairly simple and they're all very

closely related these are the LEGO Minecraft series one big things they

actually call them big things I know that we've used that term for something

else very specific in the past but that's just what they're using here on

the left is Steve with parrot in the center is the skeleton with magma cube

and on the right is Alex who comes with the chicken let's first check out the

size of each of these actually no I'm just gonna use Steve as a representative

sample because it's very recognizable so compared to a regular minifigure and I

have one other to bring into the picture since they did this the brick heads

version so Lego which makes brick based toys as you can put together has made

these representations of Minecraft things minecraft being almost a digital

version of Lego in many ways and now they've done it in three different forms

three different official sizes looking at these three side-by-side just makes

the brick heads one look even sillier with the round eyes which just don't

make sense but this gives you a general idea of what what they're going for in

terms of the size so this is definitely a distinct product and unlike the others

this is actually trying to be fairly accurate in terms of its its proportions

you know fairly accurate to what you would see in game and in that sense

they've done a pretty good job here this is one of the more proportion accurate

humanoid things I think that Lego has ever done at least proportion accurate

to the source material so Steve what can he do

well he's got an axe in his pickaxe in his hand and

he can go mining with it I love this feature it is absolutely perfect

it's exactly what you want to see it's just a very small little actuator on the

back it's not too obvious that's just cool most of the blue color that's used

for this figures shirt is dark Azure and this is a medium as your color used for

these short one by two lift arms or I guess they're considered to be lift arms

Technic lift arms yeah so you can do that which i think is just great and you

can also pose one arm up and down this has a friction joint in it so it'll hold

in one location this one does not but you can modify it if you want to be able

to hold this into one place this also doesn't go back now I'm going to take it

off the base this little plate down here is included the six by six take it off

that it does stand without being on a studded base but it's very nice that

they set it up so that it can attach to a studded base to make it very very

sturdy for display rather than using the studs on the side construction here and

then just leaving it flat the use of these new bracket pieces is absolutely

perfect there you can see that they used miss mixels style ball joints in there

to allow you to move the legs front fore and back and you already see that head

is able to move a little bit also but so you can pose this in a walking pose like

so which is great fantastic a little bit we're straight up there we go

but yeah the head is able to go up and down and is able to turn from side to

side the position of the joint for that is pretty perfect I mean this looks

alive this this is exactly like looking at it in games

you never know you're never played minecraft this this is it right here if

you have played minecraft this is certainly ticking all the boxes for you

except for the ability to do that but you leave that out just see this you've

seen this a billion times if you've played

so that's that's just perfect right there a couple open studs on the top

which is Oh Oh weird see what that's about hopefully a little

bit later on no stickers used for this of course that's just a print for the

face it's a pretty good print looks pretty proper and the the tool is a

brand new mold with some tiles attached to it big ol single piece with just

studs on both sides interesting there's neat choice there but it looks pretty

good I like this entire thing because to me

it's just classic Lego it's a modern theme use some modern pieces some modern

colors but this is just pure buildable toy simple fun you can modify it if you

want but just as it's built for the instructions you just get a basic blocky

person that you can play with or you can put on display if you want but it seems

more like a plaything nowadays more people will probably use it for a

display but it's it's just it's just so pure to me it's like a like a really old

Lego set of a person or something and then it comes with this parrot now this

does not use any print because it doesn't need it

everything is just built up using solid colored pieces and there's enough detail

here looks pretty it's pretty proper looks actually better than the minifigs

scaled one but they did that used a specialized mold as well and some prints

and you can see the tan colored foot piece used there same same part that was

used for Steve for his feet but here done in tan yeah I got the colorful

wings that can be spread apart like that those are on ball joints so you can

rotate them around every want you can make it go up and down you got the tail

in the back that can be moved up and down see I can make this look like it's

flying bring the crest back

a little bit like that see you want to pose it like that you can it's kind of

cool you know just a little side build it's very colorful definitely adds to

the set I like it it's about it's about right for what it's trying to be here's

Alex and yes they do set her up left-handed if that bothers you you can

just mirror the build because it's it's Lego you know this looks to me much

better than the minifig version of her it has more of the colors in it guess I

could have gone with the dual molded arm but I think you're also gonna face you

know it's just much much much better much more crisp and clean and complete

with all the tan on it and this one in particular here it's one of the more

recent ones that I got it it just doesn't have as much opacity as some of

the others that have gotten of course you know this does have the print for

the torso which gives you a little bit more accuracy and you get more of the

pixels depicted here overall I just like the look at that better which makes

sense me you should be able to do something better with much larger size

this also has the built in action feature which is cool another

specialized mold used for the the sword there this is in dark dark grey and they

use medium Azure and teal colored 1 by 1 tiles on that that looks around the back

say say they use just the dark tan for the actuator this time I don't know why

they had to go with a different color inside for that modified 1 by 2 plate I

think that could have been hidden away a little bit better we don't need to see

something there that's that's bright I don't know exactly what

going for with that and again you take it off the base but our into a walking

pose pretty easily this arm is able to hold itself and you have that same

articulation for the hit which again is just right so we can you know stay

fairly accurate to it like that or if you want to add a little bit more life

get a little bit more into the like Minecraft story mode kind of thing you

can bend things just a little bit you know bend reality the rules of the game

ankle side to side I think it's very cool and then the side built for this

one this is chicken and check it out another color for the bracket piece used

for the feet they're done in yellow one print for this one for the eyes it's a

little bit off there should have been all squared up you can see it's a little

bit bent the the stamp was a little bit bent on it when it hit the surface there

but other than that this is just built up and this has very little articulation

we can't bring the head down and you bring the head back just a little bit

too bad you're not able to angle the entire thing back so I can look up at a

character that's that's a weak point right there you can put a tile on the

front of this if you want to be obviously wanted to keep it a little bit

you know trim around the base a pretty respectable build for what it is nothing

too special but it definitely looks best from a distance if you don't try to look

at you know every tiny little detail of it and I mean it's got studded back so

you can use this as a in-game giant chicken which you can invent because why

not it's it's just perfect see or think of this as a Minecraft version of the

classic arcade game just hmm see it somebody will get it and then

here's the skeleton the most different of them and the most articulate a bowl

because this one uses ball joints for the shoulders mostly just to keep

everything nice and thin and to allow you to do the posing that

you want and just as kind of a a side effect I believe you're able to get more

posing out of it then you should be able to you know so you can bring the arms

out just a little bit you want cross them across like that all right

I see I see if I can get this there we go it took floss anyway a very different

build for this relies heavily upon the ratcheted joints there in the center

including a pair of them used here which is a nice way to get a very thin section

of just vertebra this is what that's supposed to represent you know they got

a good amount of of hollowness to this it could easily have been much more

solid which would not have been appropriate but this is pretty good with

the thin legs let's see doesn't feel as balanced but it still holds itself up

notice the piece that's used here from unikitty characters you know separately

sold characters for that series good choice and then this one has the bow the

bow is a specialized piece in dark brown here and we've got the spring-loaded

shooter attached to the top with just regular brown coloured bolts to

represent arrows for it of course if you don't like that

leave it off done but I probably want to get a clip or

something to still put an arrow in that create a more realistic looking arrow

most likely and this guy has a helmet on which is cool of course that's a print

check this out haha that's why that's why they have the

studs on the top of each of these characters so I'm gonna steal his helmet

real quick nope accidentally he tried to shoot me I

stole his helmet and he tried to shoot me

make sense but hey you can put armor on other characters that's cool I like that

hopefully they will continue to expand upon this system and introduce other

things other accessories I'm sure they will sure it's already been designed

like a year ago and the products are gonna come out but yeah a nice and I

start to an interchangeable system of course all the parts can be changed

between the different characters the skeleton comes with a magma cube with

printed eyes there and this is almost the same size as the large magma cube

that they did for the minifig scaled stuff it's just built a little bit

differently slightly differently and this one does have the ability to open

up like that but in this scale I believe this is supposed to be representing the

smallest form of magma cube whereas in this scale this was supposed to

represent a large magma cube the largest size but they ended up being close to

the same and I think it's cool see how they got just the two segments there

three segments here but they are certainly compatible you can use this as

another large one with your mini think scale one or your minifig scale stuff or

use this as another small small one with your big things however you want to do

that got the underside over here on the back yeah this looks pretty good this

one actually has one of those those brackets as well you dare use for the

feet so it stands up a little bit off the ground also allows you to attach it

to studded bases you know which is a plus but you know this one had a weird

base to it again underside on the back but yeah this is the one that comes with

the big feet when I first heard that these were coming out I was not a fan of

the idea it felt to me like they were just milking the theme and you know

minecraft itself has has declined in popularity a little bit recently it

still played quite a lot in spite of you know everyone who says it's a dead game

because it's not fortnight that I'm happy to have been very very

wrong I mean yeah they are milking the theme totally I mean of course products

are made all products are made to make money which is then used for people to

buy food and toys and other stuff you know that's how the world works and all

but they are good products they are enjoyable products they are pure and

nice and good uses of the Lego system doesn't feel forced to me it feels right

it feels like a a perfect marriage of two things together and they're they're

just designed so nicely they have a nice amount of expressiveness they're

enjoyable to put together they have nice pieces good production value it's just

good stuff all around it's 100 percent good so I said I was told them wrong I

had a negative initial outlook about these but getting them in person they're

great they're they're really great if you want to watch me build these check

out the build video which I will link to here in just a matter of seconds on

screen in you can also find the link in the pinned comment I did put all three

of these sets together in one build video as well so you don't have three

separate videos to look at there and at the end of the build process for all

three these were the pieces that were left over so really not a lot and just

you know one third of these came basically from each of the sets not a

lot of stuff and there is also one extra bolt to represent an arrow for the

skeleton and that's it thanks for watching I'm gonna get to work on my

next video and I'll talk to you in very soon

Website translation in the education industry | Need-to-know - Duration: 2:16.

The number of students studying abroad is rising worldwide,

which means it's never been more important to translate your university's website

to try to attract these bright young minds.

The quality of a university's website is a major factor that

influences prospective students when they're deciding where to apply.

If your website doesn't contain all the relevant information in the right language,

or has low-quality translations, you'll give the impression that you're a low-quality university.

It could also be a barrier for parents, who may not be able to understand English.

So, how should you go about translating your university's website? Here are our three top tips.

First of all, begin by translating your most important pages.

You might not need to translate every single page on your website.

Instead, concentrate on the most important pages,

such as the admissions process, your programmes and visa requirements.

Secondly, make sure you only use professional translators with experience translating similar material.

The translator should be a native speaker of your target language.

Avoid machine translations like Google Translate,

and also avoid inexperienced translators who haven't been trained in this skill.

And third, consider undertaking SEO-localisation.

SEO-localisation is a workflow that combines SEO with translation.

The result is translated content that is search engine-friendly and should rank highly for your target keywords.

By combining the two processes into one, you save time and money

which you would otherwise have to spend doing the two processes separately later on.

Do you have any other tips for website translation in the education industry?
