Model Rocket Engine In A Vacuum Chamber - 4K Slow Motion - will it burn? - Duration: 5:31.

I was scrolling through the comments section.

Of our see-through model rocket engine video.

That we uploaded the other day.

And a few comments there caught my attention.

Apparently.

The same people that think the Earth is flat.

And Rockets cant fly in space.

Also think.

That a rocket can't burn in a vacuum.

The words hoax.

Space flight.

Moon landing.

The Earth is flat.

And stupid.

Were few of the words being thrown around in there.

So.

I'm going to run this model rocket engine.

In this giant vacuum chamber.

And let you be the judge.

Alright yeah.

Look at this baby this looks great.

The scroll is done.

This is my idea.

to mount the rocket engine inside the tube.

And what this is going to do.

I got this idea.

From the inside of a scroll compressor.

And what this is going to do.

Is not only hold the rocket in the center of the tube.

It's also going to allow us.

To see how much force the rocket is producing.

I like the fact that it's kind of like a scale.

That looks pretty sinister.

Alright that looks just about good there.

That looks nice.

We got our cameras all set up.

Our Chamber is in a vacuum.

And we are ready to roll it.

Godspeed.

Model rocket engine in a vacuum.

It was a success.

It burned.

The whole rocket engine burned like in one second.

boom gone.

It was crazy.

Anyway.

So yeah. it looks like that was a success.

It was amazing because the entire rocket engine.

Which usually last about 8 Seconds.

Burned up and about.

Literally one second In a vacuum.

It was gone.

So I found that amazing.

It was the exact opposite of what everybody thought it was going to do.

Which was not burn at all.

And let's take a look inside there.

Look at that a lot of debris.

All kinds of stuff in there.

And oh yeah.

Our GoPro survived.

A little bit chart up but it survived.

Okay open it up there.

I'm going to have you give it a little blow.

Look at all the smoke that's in there.

And ready go.

Wow that smells good.

5 AMERICAN SUPERSTITIONS You Should Know About - Duration: 6:01.

Hey everyone, Dana here!

I already made a video on some German superstitions that don't exist in the U.S.

So now here are some common American superstitions.

Now, from my experience, I don't believe that these superstitions are done in Germany,

so I thought it would be helpful for understanding why some Americans are doing these things.

But if it turns out that some of these are done in Germany, please let me know in the

comments, thank you.

In English the word jinx can mean to bring bad luck or "verhexen" in German.

In the U.S. if two people coincidentally say the same word at the same time, the person

who is first to yell jinx stops themselves from getting the bad luck by putting that

bad luck onto the other person.

But then there are a few different variations of this that I've heard of.

Some people just say jinx.

But then there's also jinx you owe me something.

Like they say: jinx you owe me a soda.

Or there's also "jinx, you're not allowed to talk until somebody says your name."

Is there anything like this done here in Germany?

In the U.S. we also have a whole day dedicated to another superstition.

It's called Groundhog Day.

It's on February 2.

And on that day we watch a little groundhog emerge out of its burrow.

And the way the superstitions goes: if it's a sunny day and the groundhog sees its shadow,

and gets all freaked out and runs back into its home, then that means that it'll be 6

more weeks of winter.

If not, spring will come early that year!

And actually, this tradition, I learned, got started by German settlers in Pennsylvania.

So I figured that it must be something done in Germany too.

But when I tried looking that up, I just kept finding German articles about the American

tradition of groundhog day and how it's an American thing.

So I guess it doesn't exist in Germany?

But anyway, it got started by German settlers in the U.S.

A huge superstition in the U.S. is that it's bad luck to open an umbrella inside.

Now, while researching for this video I saw sources claiming that this is also a superstition

in Germany.

But if it is, well, then, from what I've seen nobody seems to care about it at all,

because I see umbrellas being opened inside all over the place here.

And here's the crazy thing about superstitions: I usually consider myself to be a pretty rational

thinking person, but superstitions just have a way of getting ingrained inside of you,

so that, well, at least for me, I didn't even realize how irrational the umbrella superstition

was until I was confronted with it here in Germany.

One rainy day, shortly after I moved to Germany, Mr. German Man opened the umbrella inside

before heading out, and my face, it just instinctively flushed red hot, and I was like what are you doing?

And he just looked at me.

It's raining.

I know, but you're not supposed to open the umbrella until you get outside.

Why?

Because it's...it's...it's bad luck? I don't know why. Hm.

After that I started really noticing that people here in Germany seem, for the most

part, to have no problem opening the umbrella inside before going out into the rain or opening

the umbrella inside afterwards to let it dry off after coming in from the rain.

So that's why I thought that this superstition just didn't exist here.

Or is it just like, it exists, but in the end, nobody really cares about it?

So I'd like to hear from you: have you heard of this superstition before?

Does this superstition exist in Germany?

Another superstition in the U.S. is holding your breath when you go past a cemetery.

The superstition goes that if you breathe while passing a cemetery you could risk inhaling

the spirits of the dead, which sounds absolutely terrifying.

Although this is not a superstition that I really took part in, I definitely did hear

of people holding their breath every time they drove past a cemetery.

And also lifting their feet every time they drove over railroad tracks, which is another

superstition in the U.S. - that you've got to lift up your feet when going over the train tracks.

Do tram tracks count for that too?

If so, I hope that this is not a superstition in Germany because, well, at least here in

Munich, there are a lot of tram tracks to drive over around town!

Jeep Wrangler Mopar Front Off-Road Bumper w/o Winch Mount (2007-2017 JK) Review & Install - Duration: 4:09.

I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com, and this is my review and installation of the Mopar

front off-road bumper without winch mount, fitting all 2007 and up JKs.

Today, we're going to talk through the installation of this bumper, which is a very simple one

out of three-wrench install.

You're not going to have to drill or cut anything to get this installed on your Jeep.

Even though there are a couple of additional steps to getting this bumper installed over

some of the other ones on the market, this is still something you can do in right around

an hour.

But we'll talk more about that install in a second.

This bumper is for those of you who want to upgrade the factory front bumper on your JK,

but want to stick with a Mopar bumper that is still Jeep branded.

So if you have the budget, if it has to be Mopar, it has to be Jeep branded, this is

going to be a good option for you.

As you can see, this is a plate steel front bumper that's covered in a satin black powder-coat

finish.

As far as features go, this bumper will accept your factory fog lights, which is always a

nice feature.

You already have those fog lights.

You have the wiring and the switch for it.

Why not be able to utilize them?

This bumper will accept them.

As you can see up here, you do have a bumper hoop up on top.

However, this does not have any additional light mount tabs on it for auxiliary lighting.

As it says in the title, this is the non-winch mount version of this bumper.

So we are straight across the top here.

This is basically going to be a fullwidth bumper, maybe a little bit shorter than that

factory bumper.

But you aren't going to get a ton of clearance in the tires.

If you're looking for something that's shorter, because you run a 37-inch tire, this is not

going to be the bumper for you.

Just looking at this bumper, one of the things that might jump out at you is right up here,

you have these big crush cans.

So as you're driving the Jeep, if you get into a fender-bender, those are designed to

collapse so that your bumper and your frame don't take any of that impact.

Now, to cover those up and give the bumper a bit more of a finished look, you do have

these plastic bumper covers, which do very closely mirror the bump pallets that are on

your factory plastic bumper.

Now, these have to be plastic, because of course they have to be able to crush in the

event that you get into an accident.

Now, the other thing that makes this bumper a little bit unique, because it is from Mopar

and it is from Jeep, is the fact that you can use your factory tow hooks with this bumper.

Along with the factory fog lights, you'll be able to fold your factory tow hooks on

when you install this bumper.

So to get this installed, as I said, is just going to be a one out of three-wrench installation.

The first step is, of course, removing your factory front bumper, which you'll do by removing

the fog light sockets from the fog light housings.

Remove the splash guard if you're still running one.

You can remove the upper bumper cover, and finally unbolt the bumper and remove it from

the Jeep.

If you decide to run your factory tow hooks with this bumper, you'll set those over the

crush cans.

You can go ahead and snap your plastic covers over those crush cans, and use your included

hardware to bolt everything down.

From there, you'll separate your factory fog light housings from that old bumper and bolt

them into your new bumper.

After that, set this new bumper over the frame rails, and once the bumper is bolted onto

the Jeep, reinstall your fog light sockets into the fog light housings and make sure

everything is working.

This whole process shouldn't take you more than an hour, and all you're going to need

are some hand tools.

This bumper is going to come in at right around $900, and there are aftermarket front bumpers

that are also going to have additional features.

They're going to have winch mounts or additional light mount pads, or some of them are even

going to come with built-in LED lights.

The price tag for this bumper comes from the fact that it is Mopar branded, that it is

Jeep branded.

So if you're looking to upgrade that factory plastic front bumper on your Jeep, but you

want to stick with Mopar, you want to stick with the Jeep brand, and you have the budget

for it, this is going to be a nice option for you.

So that's my review of the Mopar front off-road bumper without winch mount, fitting all 2007
