Youtube daily Dec 2 2018

According to a new op Ed in the Washington Post, a New York university psychologist,

along with a psychology doctoral student, have kind of identified part of Donald Trump's

base and they believe that fragile masculinity is what helps Donald Trump maintain what little

bit of support he actually has.

Um, and they did a lot of great research for this and I fully agree with them 100 percent.

The science they use is quite sound, but here's what they were, they're basically trying to

say is that Donald Trump was able to attract men in this country to vote for him, but it

was men who are suffering from what they're calling fragile masculinity and they've come

up with the fragile masculinity hypothesis because that's what this is.

This is a hypothesis.

They're laying out their evidence and they're trying to make sense of it.

One of the things they did to determine whether or not these fragile men supported Donald

Trump was they compared voting records for a certain area with Internet search terms,

and this is the best part.

Here are the search terms that they found a correlated the most with Donald Trump.

Supporting areas of the country, erectile dysfunction, hair loss, how to get girls,

penis enlargement, penis size, steroids, testosterone and Viagara areas who had higher search, uh,

uh, I guess queries for those particular terms.

We're more likely to vote for Donald Trump.

Now, if you're very secure in your masculinity, I'm assuming you're not searching for things

like erectile dysfunction or hair loss or how to get girls and penis enlargement, but

those were the people in the areas who tend to vote in higher numbers for Donald Trump.

And here's what's even interesting.

They went further back to see if maybe this was just a republican thing and it turns out

it's not because there is no correlation between those search terms and increased support for

John Mccain in 20 2008 or Mitt Romney in 2012.

This is a uniquely Trump experience.

Donald Trump has awoken the cult of fragile masculinity.

And here's how they did it and they explained it this way.

Trump comes out there and when you are lacking in your own masculinity or you're too insecure

about it, you will latch on to a politician or a leader who exhibits the traits that you

feel are necessary to be masculine, which Donald Trump, honest to god, totally not masculine,

but he can give that appearance.

I guess I could see that to insecure people, he has this hairpiece or whatever the hell

is going on up there because he's too proud to admit that he's actually bald audit.

Bud started losing my hair at 19 years old, never looked back, whatever it happens, he's

overweight, but he's a bully and he's a tough guy and he's gassing children at the border

and sticking them in cages and somehow that makes him a manly man.

He eats Mcdonald's almost everyday.

He goes golf and he's a billionaire with a hot wife who married them only for his money,

but they don't see that part of it.

They just see he's a billionaire with a hot wife.

That's what they think masculinity is supposed to be, and that is why they've latched onto

Donald Trump because according to these psychologists, they lack those traits in themselves.

This is toxic and toxic masculinity is something that affects a this entire country, coast

to coast and border to border, but when that toss a toxic masculinity becomes our politics,

which it has with Donald Trump, then we've got real problems.

That's why poll showed that 45 percent of men would not be comfortable with a woman

being president.

This is absurd.

We have to move past this.

These men need to figure out what it is in their lives that is missing, that is making

them feel so insecure and I understand insecurities are a big issue.

They affect men and women, you know, different cultures, different races and religions and

all of that.

But if that's what you're suffering from, then do yourself a favor.

Do the country a favor and start setting up some appointments with therapists.

You know, try to get to the root of your problems.

Don't try to latch onto this person, this creature, Donald Trump, that you think is

the embodiment of masculinity, putting the entire country at risk just because you're

too insecure about yourself to actually go sit and talk to somebody in workouts, your

issues.

There are simple solutions to some of these problems and seeing a psychiatrist, psychologist,

therapist, whatever it is.

If some of these men had taken that step three years ago, maybe we wouldn't have a jackass

like Donald Trump sitting in the oval office.

Stories Of The South: Tours Of Graceland | Southern Living - Duration: 3:59.

So this Southern journal ran in

August 2000.

It was written by Sarah Jernigan,

who was one of our writers out of Mississippi.

And it answered the burning question

that all southerners have at one point or another,

so stayed tuned, it's a good one.

No ma'am, I promise Elvis is not living upstairs.

For two long hot teenage summers at Graceland,

these words were as familiar to me as

yes the slaw goes on the barbecue sandwich.

There are those who still expect Elvis to walk out the door,

get in the Cadillac, and drive through the gates.

I know, I was a tour guide at Graceland.

Elvis has always been a part of my world,

even though I was too young to realize the effect

he was making in music.

To me, he was no international phenomenon.

he was a neighbor.

When he died in August 1977,

it was as if a family friend had passed away.

I had no idea what he meant to thousands of people

until the summer of 1988.

That's when I started the summer job that would introduce

me to the king of rock and roll and his fans.

The role of guide involved a uniform.

It was a typical early '80s number designed

when preppy was prime.

Navy slacks or skirt and a light-blue,

short-sleeved button down-shirt.

Completing the look were a navy tie, Rockport shoes,

and support hose.

Don't forget that a cool summer day

in Memphis reaches 93 degrees,

not counting a 100 plus degree heat index.

But the heat didn't deter anyone.

Attendance on my first 4th of July weekend set a record.

The book, Is Elvis Alive?, had just been published,

so curiosity was at a peak.

People came by the thousands to see if the book had merit.

Needless to say, the tour guides were constantly asked

the same question:

"Is he alive and living upstairs?"

Sometimes it hurt to tell some sweet lady who'd been

saving up for months to buy a ticket,

"No ma'am, I'm afraid he's not."

Strange questions were common.

One lady standing in line to tour Elvis's private plane

glanced around and asked anxiously,

"How long will we be up?"

Bless her heart, she assumed that a ticket to the plane

meant a ride.

The end of the tour, the Meditation Garden where Elvis

and his family members are buried or memorialized,

was a breaking point for some.

People cried and tossed flowers or other mementos

on the granite markers.

One fellow cried and screamed until he had to be escorted

down the driveway by the guards.

And this wasn't even international tribute week.

Such scenes were not well thought of at Graceland.

For many fans, the tour was serious business,

not unlike a trip to the Holy Land.

Armed with trivia of all types, a tour guide could just

cite some obscure fact about Elvis,

and gain complete control of the group.

They were awed at the fact that

he was a generous philanthropist,

giving enormous sums to charities during his lifetime.

They ooohed when told that he paid for Graceland in cash

at the tender age of 21.

And they stared in disbelief at the floor to ceiling

carpet lining the jungle room.

Elvis personally selected the room's funky,

fake fur furnishings from a local store during

one of his buying sprees.

It was fun confirming the stories about Cadillacs purchased

for lucky strangers and frequent strolls to the gates

to sign autographs.

It's been 10 years since my last visit to Graceland.

I've heard they don't even use tour guides anymore,

just those museum head sets that talk to you via audiotape.

Much like LP Records, tour guides have become

a thing of the past.

We were important then, all-knowing souls who were blessed

with a job that required being at Graceland all day.

We were useful too, if only to console those who questioned

Elvis's demise or inquired about his current whereabouts.

"Is he alive?" they'd asked.

Maybe it was wishful thinking on their part.

After all, he is the king.

What Mesut Ozil said about Arsenal after the north London derby win over Spurs - Duration: 2:32.

Mesut Ozil was not involved against Tottenham on Sunday - with Arsenal revealing before the game that the German star was suffering was back spasms

As is always the way when Ozil misses out, his absence has led to many conspiracy theories about a potential fall-out with Unai Emery - especially as the game against Spurs came immediately after the playmaker was left on the bench at Bournemouth last weekend

Emery was asked about why the former Real Madrid had missed the 4-2 north London derby victory in the immediate aftermath of the game and gave a somewhat cagey response

"He has back ache," said Arsenal's head coach when asked about the German. When asked how he suffered the injury and whether Ozil watched the game at the Emirates, Emery added: "I don't know

This is a good day to speak about players who played."  But despite all the rumours and conspiracy theories, Ozil certainly seemed to get great joy out of Sunday's derby win, given by his reaction to the victory on social media

With a picture of Arsenal celebrating Alexandre Lacazette's goal, Ozil tweeted a message saying: "When Sead Kolasinac pulls out the Emirates corner flag then you know something big has happened

"Proud of the whole team. North London is red!"  Arsenal's win on Sunday saw them move above Spurs and into the top four in the Premier League

It also extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to 19 games.  The Gunners travel to Manchester United on Wednesday and Emery said he wasn't sure whether Ozil would be involved at Old Trafford

The True History of Detective Pikachu- Lore Lubber - Duration: 1:59.

Hello Everyone, I'm Historically Challenged and this is Lore Lubber.

Today we take a look at the internet's most recent love interest, Detective Pikachu.

Detective Pikachu was born in small town kanto, his father, Pikachu worked at the power plant.

His mother, Pikachu worked in the private sector, powering a small up and coming custom

pokeball shop.

He grew up with his five siblings, Pikachi, Pikachu, Pikachu, Pikachu and Bob.

Little Detective Pikachu always knew there was something more for him in this life, something

better.

Then one day, he found his calling.

Pikachu's brother Bob ended up in a bad way, falling in with the local chapter of

Team Rocket.

He got hooked on rare candies and Poke Puffs, his search to scratch his itch lead him right

into Giovani's arms.

The local Jenny's wouldn't do anything about it, or couldn't even if they tried.

Team Rocket had far too much power and influence over the Kanto region, so it was up to Pikachu

to save his brother.

He spent months tracking down leads, beating down rocket members and even falling in love…

but It wasn't meant to be.

Finally Pikachu was able to track down his brother Bob, but he was in for another surprise.

Bob wasn't the only family member in Giovani's clutches, Pikachu's other sibling Pikachu

had been going through an identity crisis for quite a while…

Giovani offered to help em out and got ahold of a thunder stone for em…

Pikachu's own sibling…

Pikachu, had sold out their brother Bob, in exchange for that stone and for their evolution

into Raichu.

Pikachu begged Raichu to stop, to turn back, to come home, but it was too late.

Pikachu had to defeat Raichu then and there… taking his brother Bob with him and getting

him sent to Nurse Joy's Rare Candy Rehabilitation center.

After that, Pikachu opened up his own detective agency, to make sure something like this never

happens again.

I'm historically challenged and this has been…

Lore Lubber.
