Youtube daily Mar 5 2017

hey everyone it's James from fun foods

and today i'm gonna show you how to make

this rice crust pizza and I'll have a

little help making this with Slice and Rice

and we're making this pizza

that way because slice obviously loves

pizza and rice loves well rice so keep

watching and I will show you step-by-step how

to make this okay so the first thing we're going

to do is start off with two cups of

water pour that into a medium pot next

glory is going to add one cup of rice is

just long-grain rice and then we're

going to take this over to the stove and

we're going to heat it we're gonna get

it to a boil first and then we're gonna

put a lid on it and heat it for another

15 to 20 minutes on a simmer

ok so now that our rice is done gonna

let it cool a little bit because it's

gonna be tough to work with if you don't

and what we're gonna do now is we're

gonna add our cheese go ahead glory

glory going to add this is going to

be 1 cup of mozzarella cheese just going

to add that in there and we can't mix

this up really good get it all in there

and Matt why don't you add that parmesan cheese

there this one it's gonna be half a cup of

Parmesan cheese, oh half a cup!

oh man what... I don't know if he will be able to eye that out really well.

math wasn't my good uh, subject. the whole

thing that's a half cup oh (laughing) ok here we go

bam, there you go made it easy

scared me. my heart was really beating and matt

is going to show us his egg cracking

skills so um he's gonna do it

but he says he can only do it one handed

so go ahead and do it just do it over there

I'll step back right here into it

hear there yup. I have practiced

this year's my (laughing)

I've practiced this

take two here we go so just haha haha

bon a petit Are you serious? Why are you so bad at this? I mean it is kind

of challenging i don't understand I don't

understand how like no like

what is the proper way of...here you go.

ok so now that matt has gloriously cracked

our egg with one hand

we're just gonna beat this up a little

bit before we mix it in here and pour it in

helps it stick together right? helps it stick

together

it's gonna going to be the glue and it'll

cook in the oven that way your are not eating a raw egg

and once it's all mixed up like this and move on to

the next step

ok so the next step we have a 12-inch

pizza pan that you can just do this on a

baking sheet if you really don't want to

get all fancy but it'll work wellness

we're going to spray some cooking spray

on there

there we go perfect and then we're going

to pour our rice out on to that. that looks really

delicious i can probably eat it by itself

I would eat that for breakfast

it has egg yeah I does have egg

then we can just mash it down and

spread it out and might want to use your hands

just to kind of like keep it round

yeah that's a lot more than I thought it's

only one cup yeah don't be tempted to

make two cups it's a lot so how does

it look when it's in the oven like how

will expand I mean like it should'nt expand

it should just form together and crust

up a bit and i'm actually going to use

my hands mostly because the forks not really doing much

justice for that and rice is sticky

by the way

yeah I'm a little sticky, yeah not that Rice. and you just wanna

flatten it out and you want to be

nice and even you don't want too much on

one side and the other side

because what we have to do is now we gotta

bake the crust to get harder before we

put our toppings on so you don't want to put the toppings

on yet

ok so now we're going to take this we're

gonna put it in the oven at 400 degrees

we're only gonna put it in there for between four

and six minutes until it just starts to

get crusty alright so our crust is out of the

oven we only precooked this i did about

five minutes and i think that's good

because it's not sticky anymore it's a

little firm and we're gonna top this

thing off and we're gonna start off with

slice putting on some pizzas sauce so go to

it

alright so first one and you know when

you open it you got got have a little

bit of muscle there and then I'm going

to pour it for some and yeah spread it

out

yea aha then we'll start there we go

just like that nice technique

professional oh yeah i do this you can

find my videos tutorials on how to use

marinara sauce we need a little more

oh yeah

it takes a trained eye to know that yeah I

learned this technique from mr. Miyagi

on Karate Kid wax on wax off

there we go

that good mmm you're the expert so

rice is going to top our pizza with

some cheese mozzarella cheese

can I do this like this do whatever

look at that nice techneque

I call this the mozzbea okay well I got

to practice for our video make sure that will be good trial and error

what works let me know when

you guys think thats it

whatever you think you just threw me to the

wolfs yeah glory has to get

practice put a lot of cheese on a pizza

because in the video that we did on

their channel it has tons of cheese on

100 layers in fact so you gotta check that out. gosh

I feel like what is one layer considered

you know I mean that's why we were not sure

if we bought enough bags of cheese

ok I think I'm almost done things will

be my last one you guys think there's

some people that prefer more cheese and

sauce so I think I've for more sauce and

cheese make it work

whatever way and my job is the

pepperonis which are just plop down

there any where this is actually

really difficult

yeah so it's the hardest part you are doing

it so flawlessly like I make it

look easy and takes

yeah perfect distance between each pepperoni

oh he's making pepperoni's rain. so now we just take this we're

gonna pop this in the oven back at 400

degrees and I wanna watch I'm gonna guess

about 8-10 minutes

ok so our pizza is out of the oven

look at that it looks so good and it

the rice is crispy crust what kind of sauce is

on

there it's on there perfect of course so I guess now

we gotta cut open this thing and try it

out

good yeah I'm ready here we go

use some muscle no oh

yeah clean all right was it easy to slice

it was actually pretty easy

ok well his name is slice

there you go oh gosh not right there

yeah it's really easy to slice so it's my turn

I like the easiness because i hate that's

what I hate about pizza is how hard it is

to cut it yeah there we go then

ok so now the best part of every video

is the taste test of course now this is

a little tough to hold it i think so

well

hmm good better than I thought

yeah oh yeah i was interested to see how

the rice was going to taste but it's good

I can't explain it goes well together

it does you wouldn't think it's a little

not as crusty as a crust

It has a nice little soft like

texture stays together long enough until

it gets in your mouth then breaks apart

it's good. I like it alot

well thanks everyone for watching I hope you

enjoy watching me make this rice crust

pizza with the help of slices and rice

Water, More Water & Groundhog Day | US Adventures 2017 - Duration: 16:28.

Morning folks! It's about ten past eight in the morning

and I'm not really too sure what I'm going to do today.

I've came over to the window because I saw something really weird earlier

and I heard sirens when I was just starting the intro over there,

so I thought I'd come over and bring the camera in case it happened again.

What basically happened was there was an ambulance

kind of going along with the sirens on trying to get to an emergency I'm guessing.

And it got to the front of the traffic, like there was a big queue

and then to avoid the queue it swerved and went into the traffic coming the opposite way.

So it was basically driving the wrong way down this really busy road.

And there wasn't really anything on the other side of the road,

but like one car had to kind of swerve into another lane to avoid it

and that was just absolutely crazy,

I've never seen a car purposely drive the wrong way down the road.

I don't really know what I'm going to do today, I am going to take the bus.

That's all I've decided. I'm going to take the bus and go somewhere.

It's either going to be one of the parks and I'll go for a nice walk

or it's gonna be Discovery Green and I'll go and see all the Superbowl stuff that's happening.

I'm not really too sure which one.

The Superbowl I think I need to get my bag checked

and they're a bit more funny about what to bring in and stuff

so that's maybe not where I'm going to go,

but around that area there's all sorts of other cool things to see and that's kind of...

the iconic part of Houston I think, that's where like

all the buildings are kind of stacked together like whenever you see a picture of Houston,

it seems to be that area if I'm understanding it correctly.

So I should probably kind of head down there and see the main part of Houston.

Out of the window as well I can also see at the Marriott Hotel

there's like a strong police presence there and I think that's possibly where we drove past it last night

and there seemed to be something going on with the New England Patriots there

like maybe a welcome party or something?

So i don't know if they're staying at that hotel

and that's maybe why there's security around there. I don't really know.

But I might go down and check that out.

I'm gonna have to leave the hotel at some point anyway so that might be what I do.

And that's about it for now. That's your traffic update.

You know what I forgot to say before? Happy Groundhog Day!

This is legit my favorite day of the year.

I absolutely love it, it's better than my birthday.

I can't believe I'm in America on Groundhog Day, this is insane.

Like people over here at least know what Groundhog Day is.

In the UK if I say "Happy Groundhog Day", people are like, "What's Groundhog Day?"

So nevermind but um...

I think I'd like to go somewhere where people are kind of celebrating.

Not necessarily Groundhog Day, but if I could find like a Superbowl party or something

then I can just be celebrating Groundhog Day there!

Okay so I'm just waiting for the bus now

I'm not ready to show how long it is

but apparently it's going to be about 45 minutes until I get to Downtown.

That's where I've decided I'm going to go. Discovery Green, maybe see what's going on

see what looks good basically.

Welcome to Downtown Houston!

The bus took longer than a taxi would have done,

but I can tell you what, a taxi wouldn't have cost me $1.25.

And I also got to see all the things that I wouldn't see in a taxi

because people would be trying to get me to where I want to go as quickly as possible.

Okay so I'm on Main Street now and there seems to be a lot of shopping areas around here.

I'm maybe going to try and find somewhere to have lunch

and then later I'll maybe go and see Discovery Green.

There's a lot of Superbowl things going on down there today

so I'm not sure I'm gonna get in

but I've seen it mentioned that it's a bit like Houston's Central Park

so I think that's something that I need to go and see.

Okay so I think I'm down at Discovery Green now

and everything is cornered off and there's tons of people around.

It's just chaos down here like I suppose people know what they're doing

but for somebody who's just kind of looking around I don't think this is really the area I want to be in.

So I'm gonna.... keep wandering I think. I think that's the way to go.

[SPLASHING WATER]

That's really cool. Okay so I'm still wandering around,

still trying to find somewhere to eat.

I've been told that there's a really cool place at Prairie Street so I'm trying to find that right now.

So I've found a little taco place and I've got a breakfast taco on the way.

I don't think I've ever actually tried tacos so this should be interesting.

And yeah, I'll let you see it when it comes. This is my lemonade.

It's red because it's raspberry.

And I'm hopeful. I'm hopeful that this is gonna be a good thing.

It was only cheap here, I'm not sure it's gonna fill me up

but I think when I get back to the Galleria I'll maybe have something there

because they seem to have more sit-down type restaurants than they do in this part of town.

And here it is! That's like egg and potatoes, some cheese...

I can't remember what else is in it but we'll give that a go

and I'm not really too sure what this sauce is but I'll maybe give that a try if I'm feeling brave.

Well I just took a shuttle round the kind of Downtown area

to see if there was anything in particular that I wanted to see.

I didn't really see anything. There's probably really cool things to do in Houston but

I wasn't really finding anything that was particularly inspiring me.

So now I'm on the bus back to the Galleria. This is like a special Superbowl one they have on.

And yeah, it's only $2 which is much better value than taking the taxi or something.

So I'm the only one on the bus at the moment,

but there might be more people soon.

I'm thinking of transferring over to this little seat too.

Firstly because I'm by myself and secondly so that nobody sits next to me.

And also there's like a novelty value to it I suppose.

So yeah next time you see me we might be back up at the Galleria.

[SPLASHING WATER]

This is in the middle of the Galleria, isn't that nuts? Just like a water fountain.

The other day when I was in here, it stopped just as I pulled my camera out.

But today I've managed to get it.

Anyway speaking of water we're probably gonna see a bit more later

because I'm gonna try and find the Water Wall.

We just drove past it on the bus so it shouldn't be that hard to find it again.

But I'm detouring through Macy's because they're having special appearances in the next few days

and I want to find out more.

Okay so I just checked Macy's because they are having celebrity appearances this week.

The one that I was most intrigued by was Alyssa Milano

because I love Charmed, honestly I do.

But when I looked at the details you have to make a purchase, which is fair enough

and kind of line up and be one of the first 100 to make a purchase.

And I'm not really interested in doing all that just to maybe meet her

and tomorrow evening is when my friend's coming as well

so I don't want to kind of distract too much from that

I'd rather concentrate on seeing him instead of going,

"Hey, nice to see you, let's go meet Alyssa Milano."

Anyways I'm just heading over to the other side of the Galleria now

and then we're heading outside to go and see the Water Wall.

I knew this was nearby but I had no idea

how nearby, if you come out Nordstrom's and just walk along the street,

you find it so easily. Because it always looked to me like it was

in the middle of like a nature sanctuary or something.

It's weird to think of this next to such a commercial area.

Whoever dreamt this up is just absolutely amazing.

[SPLASHING WATER]

Yeah. Even right back here I'm getting the mist.

Ooh, I didn't notice know this was here.

[SPLASHING WATER]

That's up for the Superbowl. So cool. Really cool.

And then if we go down here there's a massive massive building there too.

I think that's the Williams Tower I think they called it.

I don't really know.

It's so pretty.

I think I'm gonna go back to the Galleria

I'm not sure if I'm gonna have something to eat just now

but I'll maybe see if there's anything worth having.

Okay so here's the thing. I'm just walking to the Galleria behind me

and over the road is the hotel I think where the New England Patriots are staying.

You can decide for yourself. There's people everywhere.

Totally insane. I mean being from Scotland, I'm just not used to this.

I don't know who they are

I'm staying in the same hotel as the friends and family but I wouldn't know them from anybody else.

And it's totally mad to me, there's a news crew behind me there as well

but look at all the people, there's like tons of people who are just standing outside the hotel

trying to see if they can see anybody.

It's totally nuts, isn't it? I had no idea. Well I knew the Superbowl was a big thing,

but it's just not something that's on in the UK so we just never really pay attention to it.

They've tried to make it a thing the last couple of years but fetch just isn't happening.

There's another news crew, I've just passed another one as well

that's like three altogether who are just kind of standing on the opposite side of the road.

side of the road and that's just totally insane to me.

And I'm back in the room!

Okay Superbowl fever has officially hit my hotel.

I thought it was bad this morning, but it's definitely around now.

Like this morning they had a stand downstairs where you could buy merchandise

and there was various people out ready to welcome anybody who came in,

but now there's people just standing there ready to open the door

which is what they were doing anyway, but now

it's like they won't go away and do something else, they will stand at that door

and just check that everybody's there. There were cookies everywhere.

Like everywhere. I'm gonna have to go down and get some later.

And when I went to get the elevator somebody, one of the hotel staff came in with me

and pushed the button for me which I felt was a bit extreme.

So I really feel like they're trying to turn it into like a five-star hotel now

which is really getting my money's worth.

I wasn't able to really say anything when I went to get my food

because there was copyrighted music in the background

and as a YouTuber that's a big no-no so- I did take some video though

so you'll kind of see that while I'm telling you what it is.

So what I had was a Stromboli which I've never ever had before

it's like a pizza crossed with a sausage roll is probably the best way for me to describe it.

I brought back some leftovers because it felt like a bit too much for me.

Like they also had a combo meal where you could like get something from the buffet

so I got some meatballs as well so between the two they've really filled me up

and all that was for like $10. So I'm totally filled.

But I'm Little Miss Sweet Tooth so I have a brownie. Let me just show you this.

Okay so this is a cookies-and-cream brownie. Delicious!

Again I'm not too sure if I'm gonna eat the whole thing now

but that'll keep me going for a little bit.

I think I have a spare spoon still in my wardrobe.

I know it's like a really weird place to keep spoons. Ah ha! There we go.

That was from my cheesecake. So I'm gonna get started on that

and I'll check in with you later I'm sure.

Okay I am so so happy right now.

As I mentioned this morning it is Groundhog Day today

which is my most favorite day and that's because Groundhog Day the movie is my most favorite movie.

And I will watch it all the time I really don't care, there's been days where

I've just watched it on a loop. I just love that film, honestly.

So with it being Groundhog Day,

if I had been at home, I would have been watching Groundhog Day today.

So I went online to try and find out if it was gonna be on TV

and it looked like I wasn't going to be able to get the channel that it was on,

but I've managed it! I've managed to get it on the TV.

I am watching Groundhog Day.

I actually did a little victory dance when I managed to get it on

because I was so sure it wasn't gonna work. So that's the rest of my evening planned!

So I'm just watching Groundhog Day in a loop right now, it's brilliant.

Groundhog Day marathons are definitely the way forward. The UK did it last year

and this is happening this year in the US. I don't know if they've done it in the past

or if any other country has done it but they're just so cool honestly.

Anyways, as I was watching the end of the last Groundhog Day,

I decided to tweet Stephen Tobolowsky

who played Ned Ryerson in the film, who's always been my favorite character.

Years ago I set up like a kind of fan club page on Bebo for Ned Ryerson.

And sadly Bebo is no more, but my love for Ned Ryerson continues.

Anyways so I just thought I'd tweet him and say,

"Happy Groundhog Day," you know, "From your number one fan".

And he liked it. I can't believe that actually happened, it was just crazy.

And even funnier was like I was checking my emails as Ned Ryerson was on the screen.

So as I was reading it he was kind of there like

"It's Ned, Needlenose Ned, Ned the Head" Oh man!

Best Groundhog Day honestly.

Well after a busy day of walking around and seeing everything there is to see of Houston,

I cannot think of any better way to finish the day than with a snuggly blanket

and my favorite ever movie.

So it's still early yet but since this is a Groundhog Day marathon

I'm pretty sure I'm going to be watching Groundhog Day until I go to bed tonight.

So I'm not going to make you watch it with me,

if you want to watch Groundhog Day go find it somewhere and tell me what you think

if that's something you want to do. I'm always up for a Groundhog Day conversation

seriously and they can get quite deep depending on who I'm talking with.

Anyways thank you very very much for watching everybody and I'll see you tomorrow.

Anyways I don't really know what I'm going to do today yet.

[SIRENS] I think....oh?

[AMBULANCE SIRENS]

Apparently I'm just filming all the traffic now. Umm....

Expert Financial Advice For Millennials: Add More Roommates! - Duration: 10:01.

OFTEN TIMES WHEN WE HEAR ABOUT MILLENNIAL'S IT WILL BE

MEDIA PUNDITS TALKING DOWN ABOUT THEM, CALLING THEM LAZY, OR

WE'LL HEAR THE TRUTH ABOUT THEIR ECONOMIC SITUATION AND HOW

THEY ARE MAKING 20% LESS INCOME THAN THE GENERATION BEFORE

THEM, EVEN WHEN YOU ADJUST FOR INCOME.

THAT LOWER INCOME HAS A HUGE IMPACT ON THEIR LIVING

SITUATION.

WHAT PERCENTAGE OF THEIR INCOME GOES TOWARDS RENTING,

BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW THAT MOST OF THEM CAN'T BUY HOMES, AND

ALSO, WHAT DO THEY DO IN ORDER TO MAKE ENDS MEET WITH

THEIR LIVING?

IT TURNS OUT THAT A HUGE PORTION OF MILLENNIAL'S INCOME DOES GO

TO RENTING, EVEN WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE AVERAGE RENTER.

A TYPICAL RENTER IN MIAMI WOULD NEED TO SPEND ABOUT 50% OF HIS

OR HER INCOME TO RENT A ONE-BEDROOM APARTMENT, BUT A

TYPICAL MILLENNIAL RENTER WOULD BE TO SPEND ABOUT 54%

OF HIS OR HER INCOME IN THAT CITY.

IN LOS ANGELES, MILLENNIAL'S PAY NEARLY 39% OF THEIR MONTHLY RENT

VERSUS 34% OF THE AVERAGE RENTER.

THESE ARE EXAMPLES OF HOW MILLENNIAL SPEND A GREATER

PORTION OF THEIR AVERAGE INCOME.

THAT HE BE CLEAR ABOUT WHAT FINANCIAL ADVISORS USUALLY

TELL PEOPLE ABOUT WHAT THEY SHOULD SPEND ON RENT, OR

MORTGAGE, OR WHATEVER.

YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO SPEND 30% OF YOUR INCOME ON HOUSING, AND

OF COURSE THE VAST MAJORITY OF AMERICANS HAVE TO SPEND WAY

MORE THAN THAT, BUT AGAIN, THE PROBLEM IS EXACERBATED WHEN

YOU LOOK AT THE MILLENNIAL DEMOGRAPHIC.

ON AVERAGE, RENTERS IN THE MARIN COUNTY/SAN FRANCISCO METRO AREA

WILL SPEND OVER 77% OF THEIR SALARY TO PAY RENT IN 2017.

MARKETWATCH, I ENJOY THEIR CONTENT, HAS A SUGGESTION,

SOME ADVICE FOR MILLENNIAL'S AND WHAT THEY CAN DO.

LET ME GUESS, IS IT, DON'T SPEND SO MUCH MONEY ON

FRAPPUCCINOS YOU DIRTY MILLENNIAL'S?

NO, I HAVE TO GIVE MARKETWATCH SOME CREDIT BECAUSE THEY DO

TRY TO GIVE SOME GOOD ADVICE.

THEY SAY, YOU CAN GET ROOMMATES.

BY THE WAY, THE VAST MAJORITY OF MILLENNIAL'S EITHER LIVE

WITH THEIR PARENTS BECAUSE THEY ARE TRYING TO SAVE MONEY,

OR THEY HAVE ROOMMATES.

HASS HAS A TON OF ROOMMATES.

I HAD TO GET ANOTHER ROOMMATE SO THAT I COULD AFFORD A

DECENT LIFE STYLE IN LOS ANGELES.

BACK IN THE DAY YOU WOULD GRADUATE COLLEGE, GET A DECENT

JOB WITH A GOOD RETIREMENT PLAN AND SOME HEALTH BENEFITS, AND

THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN YOU BUY A HOUSE AND YOU GET MARRIED AND

HAVE KIDS.

SO, MILLENNIAL'S ARE BEASLEY CAN'T DO THAT, WHICH IS FINE,

AND TO BE FAIR, GENERATIONS OLDER THAN OURS CAN'T DO THAT

EITHER BECAUSE THE ECONOMY HAS NOT IMPROVED IN THE WAY

THAT WOULD IMPACT THE MIDDLE CLASS IN A BENEFICIAL WAY.

BUT ALSO KEEP IN MIND THAT NOW, THE NOTION OF RENTING SO YOU CAN

LIVE ALONE IS LIKE, PIE IN THE SKY, OH MY GOD THAT'S AMAZING.

YOU'RE LUCKY IF YOU'RE ABLE TO DO THAT.

IN MIAMI, MILLENNIAL SAVE 90%

OF THEIR INCOME IN A TWO-BEDROOM APARTMENT, AND THEY CAN SAVE 40%

IN LOS ANGELES AND NEW YORK, BUT ONLY 9 FOOT 5% IN WASHINGTON DC.

THESE ARE CASES WHERE THEY HAVE ROOMMATES, OBVIOUSLY.

IN ALL CASES EXCEPT MIAMI THEY CAN PAY LESS THAN 30%

OF THEIR INCOME ON RENT BY HAVING A ROOMMATES.

IF YOU WANT TO GET TO 30% OR LESS OF YOUR INCOME BEING

SPENT ON HOUSING, YOU CAN DO SO IF YOU HAVE ROOMMATES.

JUST WORK HARDER.

YOU GUYS ARE TOO LAZY MILLENNIAL'S, JUST WORK

HARDER, BECAUSE YOU ARE LAZY.

DON'T BUY EXPENSIVE COFFEES, BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW YOU DO, AND

GET THREE ROOMMATES AS MAYBE TAKE ON ANOTHER JOB,

BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO NOW.

SOMETHING TO KEEP IN MIND HERE, ESPECIALLY WITH THIS

ARTICLE, IS LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION.

WE'RE TALKING ABOUT VERY HIGHLY POPULOUS LOCATIONS.

I WAS JUST TRAVELING IN SIOUX FALLS, AND IN NORTH CAROLINA.

I WAS STAYING WITH MY FRIEND, SHE HAS A TWO BEDROOM TWO

BATHROOM, BEAUTIFUL SPOT IN CHARLOTTE.

THEY HAVE A LOUNGE AREA THAT'S FOR ALL THE RESIDENTS IN

THIS COMPLEX, THEY HAVE A GYM, HOT TUB, FREE COFFEE AT THIS

COMMUNAL AREA, AND I ASKED HER, HOW MUCH ARE YOU PAYING A MONTH?

AND IT WAS ABOUT $1600.

YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I PAY FOR MY RENT ñ I DON'T MEAN TO THREATEN

YOU ñ AND I WAS IN SIOUX FALLS AND I GOT TO SEE A REALLY

BEAUTIFUL ONE BEDROOM WITH A BEAUTIFUL VIEW ñ

YOU SOUND LIKE A REAL ESTATE AGENTS.

BEAUTIFUL VIEW, QUIET NEIGHBORS, PETS ALLOWED.

THERE WAS SOMETHING LIKE $600 FOR TOP-LEVEL APARTMENT.

SO I DO THINK IT'S LOCATION.

AND WITH GLOBAL WARMING, SIOUX FALLS IS GOING TO BE LIKE

LA SOON.

GRACE, GRACE, I'M GLAD YOU BROUGHT THAT COMPONENT OF

IT, BECAUSE IT'S AN ARGUMENT YOU WILL BRING UP CONSISTENTLY

TO ME, AND IT DOES ME CRAZY.

IT'S NOT THAT YOU ARE WRONG, IT'S TRUE, PLACES LIKE LOS

ANGELES, NEW YORK, OR SAN FRANCISCO, THEY ARE

EXPENSIVE BECAUSE OF THE FACT THAT THEY ARE DENSELY

POPULATED AND BECAUSE OF THE INDUSTRIES THAT TAKE OFF THEIR.

BUT THE REASON WHY PEOPLE LIVE THERE IS BECAUSE THAT'S

WHERE THEIR WORK IS.

SO, YEAH, I CAN GO TO SIOUX FALLS, AND DO WHAT?

THEY HAVE A WONDERFUL RESTAURANT.

PEOPLE GO TO WHERE THE OPPORTUNITIES ARE, WHICH

HAPPENED TO BE IN THE METROPOLITAN AREAS.

SO THIS WHOLE THING ABOUT, STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT HOW YOU

CAN'T AFFORD TO RENT A HOUSE, GO LIVE IN SIOUX FALLS.

THAT'S NOT A GOOD IMPRESSION OF ME.

THAT WASN'T MEANT TO BE YOU, BUT THAT'S THE ARGUMENT PEOPLE

HIT ME WITH BECAUSE THEY THINK THAT THE VAST MAJORITY OF

PEOPLE WHO ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THIS ISSUE ARE CONCERNED

BECAUSE THEY WANT TO LIVE IN A HIP PLACE.

BUT IT'S NOT ABOUT THAT, IT'S ABOUT LIVING WHERE THE

OPPORTUNITIES ARE FOR YOU.

FOR WHAT WE DO, THERE'S TWO BIG MARKETS, LOS ANGELES AND

NEW YORK, BOTH INSANELY EXPENSIVE PLACES TO LIVE.

PLACE LIKE OKLAHOMA, OR EVEN MIDDLE AMERICA, CERTAIN AREAS

ARE URBANIZING KIND OF IN THE MIDDLE OF AMERICA, AND OAKLAND

CITY IS ONE OF THOSE PLACES, WHERE MY BROTHER CURRENTLY

RESIDES, AND HE WORKS AT BOEING.

AND BOEING, IN A VERY ECONOMICALLY SMART MOVE, IS

ESSENTIALLY MOVING MOST OF THEIR DEVELOPMENTS OUT TO THE MIDDLE

OF AMERICA, WHERE THERE ARE THESE REGULATIONS SURROUNDING A

LOT OF THE JOB ñ

TOXIC WASTE AND SHIT LIKE THAT.

BOEING ISN'T DUMPING TOXIC WASTE.

I DON'T WANT TO GET FIRED, STOPPED.

BUT YOU GO TO PLACES LIKE OKLAHOMA, I WAS AT LEAST

QUITE SURPRISED WITH HOW MODERN IT IS.

THERE'S LIKE, HIPSTER WHISKEY BARS AND THEY ARE

IDENTIFYING THOSE NEIGHBORHOODS.

I KNOW, THIS ISN'T ABOUT ñ AGAIN ñ

I'M TRYING TO MAKE A POSITIVE NOTE ON THIS.

AND THEN THOSE URBAN AREAS AND START TO BECOME MORE

PROGRESSIVE BECAUSE OF DIVERSE POPULATIONS THAT MOVE THERE

TO WORK FOR BIG CORPORATIONS.

AGAIN, THIS IS NOT A JUDGMENT ON MIDDLE AMERICA.

I THINK THIS IS ABOUT PEOPLE WANTING TO LIVE IN THE

AREAS WHERE THEY FIND THE MOST OPPORTUNITIES.

IF MORE COMPANIES AND CORPORATIONS MOVED TO STATES

LIKE THAT, AND IT WORKS OUT FOR PEOPLE AND THEY GET LOWER RENT,

AWESOME, I'M ALL IN FAVOR FOR THAT.

ALTHOUGH, THE IDEA OF MOVING TO A STATE LIKE OKLAHOMA DOES

DEVASTATE ME.

REALLY GOOD BARBECUE.

WE ALSO HAVE TO CONSIDER THE WAGE GAP BETWEEN MILLENNIAL'S

AND BABY BOOMERS.

OUR PARENTS COULD WATCH FOR THINGS THAT WE DON'T HAVE

THE OPTION TO THINK ABOUT RIGHT NOW.

I DON'T HAVE THE OPTION TO HAVE SAVINGS, AND THAT IS A

CONCEPT THAT BLOWS MY PARENTS MIND.

IT'S ABOUT NOT WORKING HARD, I'M NOT REALLY SURE WHAT THAT

IS, MAYBE IT IS THAT I'M NOT WORKING HARD.

IT'S JUST THE MONEY WASN'T WHERE IT WAS FROM MY PARENTS WERE

DOING.

ALSO WE HAVE STUDENT LOAN DEBT AND CERTAIN FINANCIAL BURDENS

THAT GENERATIONS BEFORE US MAYBE HAD TO DEAL WITH, BUT NOT

TO THE EXTENT THAT WE'VE HAD TO DEAL WITH.

IT'S THE SCALES.

YOU LOOK AT THE LAST DECADE OF COLLEGE COST AND HOW IT HAS

SKYROCKETED, YOU KIND OF GET A SENSE OF WHY STUDENT LOAN

DEBT HAS EXPLODED, AND WHICH GENERATION HAS CARRIED THE

BRUNT OF ALL THAT.

SO ANYWAY, THAT'S WHAT'S GOING ON WITH HOUSING, AND ALSO

KEEP IN MIND THAT, IT'S A RENTER'S MARKET RIGHT NOW.

MOST PEOPLE ARE LOOKING TO RENT BECAUSE THEY EITHER DON'T HAVE A

GIGANTIC DOWN PAYMENT TO BUY A HOME, OR THERE IS A LACK OF

INVENTORY OUT THERE FOR HOMES, WHICH WE'VE ALSO KIND OF

RUN INTO.

I DON'T KNOW IF THERE'S EVERYONE TO BE A SOLUTION TO IT, BUT

IT'S A GROWING PROBLEM, AND THE IDEA THAT PEOPLE NOW HAVE

TO SHACK UP WITH A BUNCH OF STRANGERS JUST TO MAKE ENDS

MEET IS DEVASTATING, BUT IT IS WHAT IT IS.

YOU KNOW WHO'S THE GREATEST ROOMMATE THOUGH?

NO, I LOVE MY ROOMMATES, THEY ARE BOTH MY FRIENDS.

YOU KNOW WHO THE GREATEST ROOMMATES ARE?

YOUR PARENTS.

THEY COOK YOU FOOD, THEY CLEAN THE HOUSE, JUST LIVE WITH

YOUR PARENTS.

IT'S NOT THAT BAD.

I DIDN'T MIND LIVING WITH MY PARENTS.
