[music]

Hello! My name is Jocelyn Vache.

I teach ESL, Art, and French, depending on the year, at Excel High School in South Boston.

I'm also the school's LATF and Arts Liaison.

Today we'll learn how to use Google Drive to archive and collect student work.

So, let's set up the folders.

First, go into "My Drive" and click on the folder where you would like to keep your class folders.

Mine is labeled "ESL classes."

Then, click on the red "NEW" button in the top left-hand side menu, and choose "Folder"

from the dropdown options.

Choose a standard way to label your folders to keep your drive organized.

I use class nick name, school year, and folder description: ESL2 SY15-16 Student Folders.

Create.

Next, go into the folder you just created and following the same procedure, create individual

folders for each student: New...and folder…I will name it "Ms. Vache & Doe, John"...create...and

new folder..."Ms. Vache & Doe, Jane"...create...etc…

It is helpful for students if you include your name, otherwise they will have a folder

in their drive labeled with only their name, which does not indicate its purpose.

Lastly, share the folders with your students.

When you are inside the folder you want to share, or if it's highlighted in blue, click

on the icon with a plus sign and a person.

Type in your student's name or email address.

Make sure you leave it as "Can edit" or else they won't be able to add files to the folder.

You can add a note if you'd like and then click "send".

Sharing outside of the BPS network will give you this "Are you sure?"

message, which you can click yes...and it will send.

Now you have folders to streamline the distribution and collection of digital files.

Let's go back into "ESL Classes" and look at my student folders from last year.

You can see that I've only shared it with one person: his personal and school email addresses.

I add their presentations that I've recorded so that they can review them and evaluate

their listening and speaking.

Students also upload the essays that they've worked on, and if they're a transfer student,

their former teachers may also upload files to put into their folder.

That's how you use Google Drive to archive and collect student work.

TOPICS JUST A LITTLE

BIT, YOU MAY THINK TEENS ARE

ALWAYS ON SOCIAL MEDIA, BUT

PEOPLE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 35 TO

39 ARE SPENDING UP TO SEVEN

HOURS ON SOCIAL MEDIA PER WEEK,

WHICH IS MORE THAN ANY OTHER AGE

GROUP.

JOINING ME TO TELL US MORE ABOUT

IT, DR. STEPHEN CRAWFORD WITH

SHEPHERD PRATT.

THANKS FOR BEING HERE.

>> THANK YOU FOR HAVING ME.

>> IT'S AN IMPORTANT TOPIC.

WE'RE ALL CHECKED IN ON OUR

PHONES ALL THE TIME.

SO TELL US A LITTLE BIT MORE

ABOUT THIS AGE GROUP AND THE

FACT THAT THEY'RE SPENDING SO

MUCH TIME ON SOCIAL MEDIA.

>> I THINK IT IS SURPRISING.

WE WE'RE USED TO THINKING OF

TEENS AS BEING ON SOCIAL MEDIA

ALL THE TIME, AND NOW WE'RE

FINDING OUT REALLY IT'S ALL AGE

GROUPS.

AND PEOPLE ARE SPENDING, AS YOU

SAID, UP TO SEVEN HOURS A WEEK,

WHICH IS ALMOST A FULL WORK DAY,

SPENDING ON SOCIAL MEDIA.

AND THAT TAKES UP A LOT OF OUR

TIME AND LEAVES LESS TIME FOR

OTHER THINGS THAT WE NEED TO DO.

>> SO THE QUESTION REALLY IS,

HOW IS IT IMPACTING US, OUR

BODIES, OUR HEALTH?

HOW IS THAT IMPACTING US FROM

USING IT SO MUCH?

>> PEOPLE TEND TO POST THE

THINGS THAT ARE POSITIVE IN

THEIR LIVES AND THEN THEY PHOTO

SHOP THEIR IMAGES GOING ONLINE.

SO SOCIAL MEDIA ENDS UP GIVING

US A VERY UNREALISTIC MAJE OF

WHAT THAT PERSON'S LIFE IS

REALLY LIKE.

AND THEN IF YOU'RE CONSTANTLY ON

SOCIAL MEDIA AND LOOKING AT

THESE IMAGES OF THESE DIFFERENT

PEOPLE THAT YOU KNOW, IT CAN

LEAVE YOU FEELING SOMEWHAT

INADEQUATE AND LIKE WHAT'S WRONG

WITH ME.

YOU KNOW YOUR CHALLENGES.

YOU KNOW WHAT THINGS ARE GOING

WRONG IN YOUR LIFE AND WHAT IS

EXPRESSING YOU OUT.

SO THEN EVERYBODY ELSE ON SOCIAL

MEDIA LOOKS LIKE THEY HAVE IT

ALL TOGETHER.

YOU FEEL INADEQUATE AND IT

IMPACTS YOUR SELF-ESTEEM

GREATLY.

>> WHAT'S THE SOLUTION?

LIKE HOW WE CAN IMPROVE OUR

SOCIAL MEDIA USE FOR THE BETTER?

>> I THINK LOOKING AT DOING A

FULL ASSESSMENT OF WHAT WE DO

WITH SOCIAL MEDIA.

HOW MUCH TIME ARE WE SPENDING ON

SOCIAL MEDIA AND HOW DOES IT

LEAVE US FEELING WHEN WE'RE

DONE.

DO WE FEEL DEPRESSED, DO WE FEEL

INADEQUATE, BAD ABOUT OUR

BODIES?

THESE ARE THINGS TO LOOK AT.

FIGURING OUT THINGS YOU WANT TO

DO IN YOUR LIFE THAT YOU HAVEN'T

HAD TIME TO DO AND SCHEDULING TO

DO THAT AS OPPOSED TO SOCIAL

MEDIA.

>> I FEEL LIKE I HEAR PEOPLE ALL

THE TIME SAYING I HAVE NO TIME

TO WORK OUT.

IF YOU'RE USING SEVEN WORTH OF

SOCIAL MEDIA, THAT'S PLENTY OF

TIME TO ADD IT IN, RIGHT?

A LOT OF BETTER USES FOR IT.

WHAT IS YOUR ULTIMATE

SUGGESTION?

>> TO DO A COMPREHENSIVE

ASSESSMENT OF HOW IT'S IMPACTING

YOUR LIFE.

ARE YOU FEELING INADEQUATE.

ARE YOU FEELING BAD ABOUT YOUR

BODIES, AND THEN LOOKING AT WHAT

YOU'RE CONTRIBUTING TO SOCIAL

MEDIA.

ARE YOU BEING REALISTIC ABOUT

YOURSELF ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND ARE

YOU PRESENTING THE REAL YOU.

>> FOCUS TOWARDS THE POSITIVE.

Jackson residents urged to prepare for water outage - Duration: 26:45.

JACKSON CITY LEADERS ARE

EXPLAINING HOW THEY'LL

>> BREAKING NEWS, WE ARE

INTERRUPTING THE PROGRAM BECAUSE

JACKSON CITY LEADERS ARE

EXPLAINING HOW THEY WILL FIX A

MASSIVE WATER MAIN BREAK IN THE

CAPITAL CITY.

WE GO TO CITY HALL.

DATES BACK TO THE 1990'S, AS

WITH ALL LARGE DIAMETER

PRESTRESSED CONCRETE PIPE,

MAINTENANCE IS A CHALLENGE.

THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT NEED

BASED ON THE LEAKS PRESENT TO

MAKE THIS REPAIR, SO W HAVE

CONTRACTED TWO SEPARATE

CONTRACTORS TO WORK ON THE LEAKS

THAT ARE ACTIVE AT THIS POINT.

WE HAVE TAKEN THESE PRECAUTIONS

TO BE ABLE T HANDLE THE LEAKS

AT ONE TIME, MINIMIZING THE

IMPACT.

WE DID CONDUCT A STAKEHOLDERS

MEETING LAST WEEK SO THAT WE

WOULD BE ABLE TO DETERMINE SOME

OF THE IMPACT THAT MAY HAVE BEEN

MISSED IN THE PREVIOUS OUTAGE.

THEREFORE, WE DO OUR BEST TO TRY

TO MITIGATE ANY ISSUES WE WOULD

SEE.

BASICALLY, WHAT WE ARE LOOKING

TO DO AT THIS POINT, WE WILL

CONDUCT A PLANNED OUTAGE ON THIS

FRIDAY, MARCH 10, BEGINNING

AROUND 3:00 P.M..

WE EXPECT THAT OUTAGE TO LAST

UNTI 3:00 P.M. ON MARCH 12.

DURING THAT TIME, THE

CONTRACTORS WILL BEGIN DOING

WORK TO REPAIR THO LEAKS AND

GET EVERYTHING TOGETHER SO THAT

WE CAN GET THE WATER BACK

ONLINE, ON SUNDAY.

WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO SAY ABOUT

THE AREA AFFECTED.

BASICALLY, IF YOU EXPERIENCE ANY

ISSUES ON FEBRUARY 10, WHEN WE

CONDUCTED THE LAST OUTAGE, WE

EXPECT YOU WILL MORE THAN LIKELY

SEE ISSUES THIS TIME, AS WELL.

THOSE ISSUES WOULD BE WATER

AND POSSIBLY LOW-PRESSURE.

-- LOW PRESSURE.

ONCE PRESSURE IS RESTORED AND

SERVICE IS BACK ON, THERE WILL

BE A BOIL WATER NOTICE ISSUED

FOR THE AFFECTED ARE AND WE

EXPECT THOSE NOTICES SHOULD BE

CLEARED AFTER THE NORMAL 48 HOUR

TESTIN PERIOD.

WE ARE CONTINUING TO ENCOURAGE

ALL OF OUR CUSTOMERS TO SIGN UP

FOR CODE RED AS THAT WOULD BE

ONE OF THE BEST WAYS TO STAY

INFORMED.

I'M GOING TO TURN THIS OVER TO

OUR EMERGENCY MANAGER, BRANDON

FALKNER.

-- FALCON.

WE HAVE --

>> WE HAVE SOME KNOWN FACTORS WE

WILL BE PREPARED FOR, AND TO

HAVE THE SAME THING THAT THE

DIRECTOR SAID, WHERE IF YOU HAVE

EXPERIENCED DIFFICULTIES LAST

TIME, BE PREPARED FOR SIMILAR OR

ZERO WATER PRESSURE AT THIS

JUNCTURE.

WE HAVE SET UP THREE

DISTRIBUTION POINTS FROM WATER.

ONE WILL BE PRECINCT ONE, WHICH

IS COOPER ROAD.

PRECINCT TWO AT METRO CENTER AND

WE ARE SETTING UP ANOTHER ON THE

WEST STREET SIDE OF MEMORIAL

STADIUM ON UNIVERSITY CAMPUS.

AS FAR AS OUR FIREFIGHTING

CAPABILITIES, WE HAVE REACHED

OUT TO OUR MUTUAL AID AGREEMENTS

AND WE ARE BUSINESS AS USUAL.

ONE THING THE FIRE DEPARTMENT

HAS DONE SINCE OUR INCIPIENT

STAGE OF 1904, WE MANAGED TO

MOVE WATER WELL.

WE ARE NOT UNKNOWN TO MOVING

WATER LO DISTANCES IN WATER

MAIN BREAKS.

THIS IS JUST BUSINESS AS USUAL

ON THE FIREFIGHTING SIDE.

ANY ISSUES OR ERRORS OR

OMISSIONS, WE ARE 100% READY FOR

THAT.

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SIDE,

BECAUSE WE HAVE BEEN KNOWN

FACTORS, WE HAVE REACHED OUT TO

OUR PARTNERS.

WE HAVE SET UP LOGISTICS

MEETINGS WITHIN OUR STAFF.

FOR THE LAST T WEEKS, THIS IS

BEEN THE ONLY CONVERSATION WE

HAVE HAD.

WE ARE REACHING OUT TO PEOPLE

THAT WOULD NOT NECESSARILY BE A

STAKEHOLDER TO GIVE US DIFFERENT

CAVEATS IN THE WAY WE THINK TO

MAKE SURE WE DON'T HAVE ANY

HOLES IN OUR SYSTEM, AND WE ARE

MORE THAN WILLING TO ACCEPT IN

THE OUTSIDE PERSPECTIVE ON THAT,

TO GET TO WHAT WE NEED TO GET.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT IF ANY

OF OUR MESSAGES AS WE GO

FORWARD, THE 311 SYSTEM, CALLED

AND REPORTING FOR CITIZENS TO

REPORT OUTAGES AND WE WILL BE

CHECKING THAT ON THE WEEKEND.

THE CODE RED SYSTEM, I CANNOT

STRESS THAT ENOUGH, PEOPLE

STARTING TOD AND, WEDNESDAY,

THURSDAY, GET ON THE CITY

WEBSITE, SIGN UP FOR CODE RED.

WE WILL BE PUSHING OUT MESSAGES

ALL WEEKEND LONG AS FAR AS

STATUS UPDATES.

ANY INFORMATION THAT WE FIND

PERTINENT TO OUR STAKEHOLDERS.

AT THIS TIME, I WIL LET DR.

KIDD TALK ABOUT OUR OUTREACH

PROGRAM.

>> GOOD MORNING.

I AM THE DIRECTOR OF HUMAN AND

CULTURAL SERVICES.

IN ADDITION TO OUR CONSTITUENTS,

WE WILL BE FOCUSED ON MAKING

SURE OUR MORE HONORABLE ADULT

POPULATION IS BEING TAKEN CARE

OF.

WE HAVE A PLAN IN PLACE TO MAKE

SURE WATER IS DISTRIBUTED TO OUR

SENIORS AND DISABLED PERSONS.

WE WIL BE PRIMARILY AT THE

METRO CENTER SPOT FOR PICKUP AND

DROP-OFF.

IF YOU HAVE A FAMILY MEMBER WHO

CANNOT COME OUT, WE HAVE A PHONE

NUMBER YOU CAN CALL FOR DROP-OFF

AVAILABILITY.

WE HAVE PEOPLE ON BOARD READY TO

TAKE YOUR INFORMATION AND MAKE

SURE WE GET WATER TO THOSE

VULNERABLE ADULTS.

AT THIS POINT, WE WILL TAKE

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE WATER

OUTAGE.

HOW IS WATER DISTRIBUTION

GOING TO WORK? WILL YOU HAVE

BOTTLES?

WE WILL HAVE BOTTLED WATER.

AT THIS POINT, WE WILL TRY TO

GIVE OUT A CASE, PER PERSON.

>> ON HER OUTREACH PROGRAM, THEY

WILL BE DOING HOME DELIVERY FOR

THAT PART OF IT.

ON OUR DISTRIBUTION POINTS,

WHICH I SPOKE TO, EARLIER, WE

HAVE A FINITE -- WE DON'T HAVE A

FINITE NUMBER OF CASES WE HAVE

BOUGHT, YET.

WE ARE GOING TO LIMIT IT TO ONE

CASE PER PERSON.

WE WILL BE TAKING INFORMATION AS

OPPOSED TO JUST RANDOMLY GIVING

IT OUT.

WE WILL HAVE VOLUNTEERS AND IT

WILL BE IN AN ORGANIZED FASHION

AND WHEN YOU SHOW UP, WE WILL

GIVE YOU A CASE AND GO FROM

THERE.

>> DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY

CUSTOMERS WILL BE DIRECTLY

IMPACTED BY THIS?

WE A BLOWING UP THE

AFFECTED AREA, BUT WE ARE

TELLING PEOPLE FROM NORTHSIDE

DRIVE TO 55 TO 220 ON THE

NORTHERN BOUNDARY, ALL THE WAY

IT IS KIND OF A TRIANGLE.

THE FOREST TILL AREA OF SOUTH

JACKSON IS ON ITS OWN WELL

SYSTEM AND THEY ARE NOT AS

AFFECTED.

THE MAJORITY OF THE AFFECTED

AREA WILL BE --

NUMBER OF PEOPLE OR

HOUSEHOLDS?

I DON'T KNOW THIS TO BE A

FACT, BUT 40,000 IS A ROUGH

ESTIMATE.

>> CUSTOMERS?

>> CUSTOMERS.

>> YOU PEOPLE NEED TO SHOW ID?

>> AT THIS JUNCTURE, NO.

IF THAT DOES CHANGE, THE

INFORMATION WILL COME OUT.

FOR THIS IMPACT THE ST.

PATRICK'S DAY STUFF?

-- COULD THIS IMPACT THE ST.

PATRICK'S DAY STUFF?

>> THAT IS NEXT WEEK.

>> IS THIS ONE CASE PER PERSON

PER DAY?

>> WE ARE HOPING IT WOULD BE ONE

CASE.

>> THE HOURS ON FRIDAY WILL BE

FROM 12:00 TO 6:00.

ON SATURDAY, 8:00 UNTIL WE RUN

OUT OF WATER.

THAT IS AT ALL THREE POINTS.

>> WILL FIREFIGHTERS USE TANKER

TRUCKS?

>> WE HAVE A LOT OF AVENUES ON

THAT.

EACH ONE OF OUR APPARATUSES

CARRY UP TO A 750 GALLON TANK.

WE HAVE INSTITUTED A SECOND

CALL.

WE NORMALLY RESPOND COINTREAU TO

FIVE -- 4 TO APPARATUSES.

WE A AUTOMATICALLY RESPONDING

WITH A THIRD PUMP OR SO WE HAVE

A THIRD PERSON COMING IN.

WE HAVE OUR MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT

WITH HINDS COUNTY WHICH HAS ALL

THE TANKERS FOR THE RURAL AREA

AND WE TALKE TO ALL OF THE

SURROUNDING DEPARTMENTS THAT ARE

COUNTY-BASED.

UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI HAS

FIVE WELLS ON SITE.

ONE OF THEM HAS A FIRE FIGHTING

-- FIREFIGHTING EXTRACTOR

ATTACHED.

THE FIRE DEPARTMENT IS REALLY

ASTUTE AT MOVING WATER.

IT WILL NOT BE AN ISSUE.

>> THIS IS THE THIRD BREAK ON

THIS LINE IN THE LAST -- SINCE

2012.

IS THERE ANYTHING YOU CAN DO TO

MA SURE THE REST OF THE LINE

IS FULL IN MINTZ INTEGRITY --

FULL IN ITS INTEGRITY?

>> YOU DON'T HAVE A WHOLE LOT OF

OPTIONS, AND THE REPAIRS ARE

SIGNIFICANT, SO THEY WILL

USUALLY REQUIRE MAJOR

INSTRUCTION IN ORDER TO GO IN

AND CUT OUT A SECTION OF PIPE

AND PUT IT A REPLACEMENT PIPE.

THE DECISION WAS MADE TO GO THAT

ROUTE, THAT IS JUST ONE OF THE

ISSUES THAT THE CITY IS GOING TO

HAVE TO WORK THROUGH.

>> HOW DO YOU DO MAINTENANCE ON

IT AND CHECK THAT THE PIPE IS

GOOD ALL THE WAY THROUGH?

>> WHAT YOU WILL HAVE IS BECAUSE

A LOT OF IT IS BURIED, YOU WILL

NOT BE ABLE TO KNOW UNTIL -- OUR

MAINTENANCE ASPECT IS WHAT WE DO

WITH OUR VALVES IN THE AREA,

EXERCISING THOSE IN MAKING SURE

WE CAN MAKE THE REPAIRS BY

MAKING SHUTOFFS IF WE HAVE TO

MAKE THEM.

THAT WAS SOME OF THE ISSUE WE

HAD OCCUR, WE WANTED TO MAKE

SURE WE WERE ABLE TO ACCESS IT

AND DO -- GET THE REPAIRS DONE.

YOU WERE GONE INTO A SITUATION

WHERE YOU HAVE A LONGER SPAN OF

PIPE, BUT YOU DON'T HAVE ACCESS

POINTS.

THAT IS WHAT WE HAVE KIND --

GOTTEN INTO AND WE ARE TRYING TO

AMEND THAT.

SOME OF THE PLAN ACCESS POINTS

ARE KIND OF UNDERGROUND OR

HAVING THE BULK OF THE STEM OF

THE VALVES TO BE UNDERGROUND.

THERE IS A LOT OF WEAR AND TEAR

IN NOT BEING EXERCISED OR

REMOVED AND MAYBE NOT

NECESSARILY HAVING LUBRICATION,

SO OVER TIME, IT GETS TO BE

DIFFICULT, SO WHEN YOU NEED TO

GET TO IT IN A PINCH, IT CAN

CAUSE YOU A PROBLEM.

THAT IS SOMETHING WE ARE HOPING

TO GET AWAY FROM.

THOSE ARE THINGS WE ARE HOPING

TO WORK WITH THAT WILL HELPFULLY

-- HOPEFULLY HELP US SHOULD WE

HAVE LEAKS IN THE FUTURE.

THE UNDERSTANDING HAS BE WITH

THAT TYPE OF MATERIAL, IN

GENERAL, YOU HAVE A LIFECYCLE

THAT IS GOING TO BE ANY -- GOING

TO BE ON ANY INFRASTRUCTURE.

THE EXPECTATION IS IT WILL NOT

LAST FOREVER, SO YOU WILL HAVE

TO MAKE REPAIRS AT SOME POINT.

>> ARE ALL THE BRAKES ON THE

FOREST AVENUE AREA?

>> IT IS A SPAN OF ROUGHLY THREE

MILES.

FOREST AVENUE IS PART OF THAT,

BUT THEY ARE ALL BASICALLY

PARALLEL TO I-220.

>> WHERE ARE THE OTHER TWO?

>> ONE IS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF

THE BREAK AND THE OTHER WAS ON

THE NORTH SIDE.

ALL WITHIN ABOUT THREE MILES.

ARE THEY LEAKING WATER TO THE

EXTENT OF THE ONE NEAR FOREST

AVENUE?

>> NOT ALL TO THAT EXTENT, BUT

ALL GOING AT THE SAME TIME IS

CAUSING A BIT OF A DRAIN ON OUR

SYSTEM IN TERMS OF THE CAPACITY

WE HAVE TO PUT OUT TO OVERCOME

THAT.

NOT TO MENTION HAVING A LEAKS

GOING UNCHECKED IS GOING TO BE

AN ISSUE.

>> ARE WE LOSING MORE THAN 40%

OF OUR WATER RIGHT NOW?

>> THESE BREAKS WILL CONTRIBUTE

TO THE PERCEIVED WATER LOSS THAT

WE HAVE, BASED ON THE

INFORMATION THAT WE CAN TELL.

WE CAN RAMP UP OR LOWER

PRODUCTION DEPENDING, BUT WE

WANT TO MAINTAIN A PROPER LINE

PRESSURE.

IT IS CERTAINLY NOT HELPING OUR

CAUSE WHEN LEAKS GO UNCHECKED.

WE DON'T THINK 50% IS WHAT IT

IS, BUT WE DON'T HAVE ANYTHING

CONCLUSIVELY.

WE HAVE BEEN IN THE RANGE OF

40%.

FROM OUR RECORDS AND MY

INFORMATION, GOING BACK TO LIFE

2011.

>> HOW MUCH DOES THAT COST?

WE DON'T HAVE A VALUE PLACED

ON IT AT THIS POINT.

ARE YOU ADVISING BUSINESSE

TO CLOSE FRIDAY AND NOT OPEN ON

SATURDAY?

>> WE DID TAKE A LOT OF

QUESTIONS FROM THE STAKEHOLDER

COMMUNITY.

BASICALLY, WE ARE ADVISING THAT

IF THEY ARE ABLE TO STOCKPILE

ENOUGH WATER TO WORK, WE DO THE

SHUT OFF AROUND THAT TIME, THE

SYSTEM WILL IMMEDIATELY GO TO

ZERO.

THEY SHOULD HAVE THE ABILITY TO

DO THAT, AND ONCE WE GET TO A

CERTAIN POINT THRESHOLD WHERE WE

KNOW THAT THE PRESSURE HAS

DROPPED BELOW THE SAF POINT, --

SAFE POINT, THAT IS WHAT WE WILL

--

BILL HUIZENGA THING I CAN SPEAK

TO, AS WE HAVE CONSTRUCTION AND

UTILITY CONSTRUCTORS.

HOW MUCH IS THE EMERGENCY

CONTRACT FOR?

AT THIS POINT, WE DON'T HAVE

ALL OF THAT CLARIFIED BECAUSE

THERE IS ADDITIONAL WORK GOING

OUT.

AS SOON AS THAT IS ADDRESSED, WE

WILL PUT THAT OUT.

THE INITIAL CONTRACT -- WE WILL

KIND OF TALK THROUGH THAT AS WE

GET EVERYTHING TAKEN CARE OF.

WHAT WE HAVE IS CHANGES FROM

WHAT'S OCCURRED, SO I DON'T WANT

TO PUT THAT NUMBER OUT UNTIL WE

GET EVERYTHING QUANTIFIED.

>> WHEN WILL THAT BE?

HOPEFULLY SHORTLY AFTER ALL

OF THE REPAIRS.

WE MADE SOME CHANGES THAT WE

THINK LONG TERM ARE GOING TO

HELP US TO NOT HAVE TO DEAL WITH

THIS TYPE OF SITUATION AGAIN.

>> ONE OF THE CHANCES THIS

REPAIR COULD TAKE LONGER THAN 48

HOURS?

BASED ON OUR PREPARATION, IT

SHOULD BE A MINIMAL CHANCE OF

THAT HAPPENING.

THAT IS THE REASON MY WE CAME UP

WITH TWO CONTRACTORS.

IT DEFTLY WOULD HAVE STRESSED

EITHER OF THE TWO OF THEM TO

HAVE TO DO IT INDEPENDENTLY, BUT

WE THINK COMBINED, THE RESOURCES

AVAILABLE WILL BE MORE THAN

ENOUGH TO GET THAT SATISFIED

WITHIN THAT OR DID OUR

TIMEFRAME.

>> WHO WAS IMPACTED IN THE 55

CORRIDOR YOU MENTIONED?

THE LAST TIME, A LOT OF OUR

NUMBERS AND THEY ARE NOT FULLY

CONFIRMED, WE ARE GOING OFF THE

311 DATA, SO WE HAD CALLS THAT

WERE OUT OF THE AREA THAT WE

KIND OF EXPECTED TO BE IMPACTED,

SOME OF THOSE WERE FROM OTHER

LEAKS THAT OCCURRED AT THE TIM.

IF WE AR TAKING PRESSURE OFF OF

CERTAIN LIN, YOU CAN CERTAINLY

CAUSE AN ISSUE, BUT WE HAVE TO

EXPECT WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IS, THE

EASTERN SIDE OF THE CITY SHOULD

BE IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE, EVEN

MORE DOWN AND WE ALSO HAVE A

WELL SYSTEM THAT DOES GO DOWN

INTO SOUTH JACKSON, SO THAT IS

WHY IN THE LAST EVENT, EVERYONE

IN THOSE AREAS WAS NOT WITHOUT

WATER.

WE EXPECT THAT TO BE THE SAME,

THIS TIME.

>> ONE MORE QUESTION AND THEN WE

HAVE TO START ANOTHER MEETING.

I LIKE TO FINISH WITH A

STATEMENT.

ON THE PREPAREDNESS SIDE, IF YOU

LIKE TO VOLUNTEER OR DONATE

WATER OR ANYTHING THAT WOULD AID

US IN OUR CAU IN MAKING SURE

OUR CITIZENS ARE TAKEN CARE OF,

YOU CAN CALL THAT 1084 N

YOU NEED WATER TO FLUSH OR

COMMODE.

This weekend in World Cups and Air Guitars - Duration: 2:53.

"Look at that Crystal Globe, there it is.

You can turn it upside down and drink champagne out of it.

Just a fun fact for you Marielle, but you've probably done that twice in your career before."

I'm not sure what she does with those Crystal Globes, but it's good enough to kick off

this week's Road to the Olympic Games recap.

And that's where we begin, on home soil with the final World Cup event of the Freestyle

skicross season in Collingwood Ontario.

Last week Marielle Thompson clinched her 3rd Crystal Globe as overall champion, but that

doesn't mean she took her foot off the gas this weekend.

She cruised in all her heats and won the gold medal.

That was her seventh World Cup gold this season, and she was presented with her Crystal Globe

trophy after the race.

And that success carried on to the men as well.

Brady Leman and Christopher Del Bosco secured gold and silver medals, respectively.

And Canada was presented with the Nation's Cup as the top team of the season.

I think it's safe to say Canadians are heading to the World Championships in Spain this week

in a high note!

Moving on to slopestyle, we had another Canadian winning gold in the final event of the season.

That was 20-year-old Teal Harle.

This was the first podium finish of his young career, and when you do that, sometimes you

have a tough time finding the words to describe it.

"Yeah it's so crazy.

I'm so excited I don't even know what to say.

Like, just so stoked to be up there" Over to Finland.

After Alex Harvey won the 50-kilometre freestyle race at the cross-country skiing world championships

in spectacular fashion, he didn't just raise his hands in triumph, he air guitared!

But here is the more important question, was Alex Harvey more

Bill and Ted's excellent adventure?

Or Tom Cruise in Risky Business?

Comment below with your vote.

Unfortunately is wasn't all good news, as we head to Norway for the All-round speed

skating championships.

Ivanie Blondin was aiming for a top-5 finish, and was there after day number one, but slid

down to 12th overall after a disappointing showing in the 1500 Metre race.

While on the men's side Ben Donnelly ended up in 17th place.

And at a women's alpine test event ahead of the upcoming Olympics, Lindsay Vonn was

beaten by just 0.07 seconds by Italy's Sofia Goggia for the gold medal.

This was Vonn's fourth event since fracturing her arm in November.

Marie-Michèle Gagnon was the highest Canadian finisher in 12th

place.

So we had a Canadian sweep, a pretty stoked Teal Harle, and a pretty rockin' Air Guitar

by Alex Harvey.

I have no idea how we are going to top that next week.

Thanks for watching.

Why did it take so long?🤔 Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD part 1 - Duration: 26:39.

Yo what's up guys and welcome back to a new part of Kingdom Hearts 2.8!

Alright I wanted to explain you why it took so long to make that video.

but first I wanted to start the gameplay of dream drop distance.

I will record that with the share function as well but I don't know if it'll work out with the sound or not.

so I will maybe overlay the videos so that the sound is in and yeah.

wow that's genius. that game won't show me full screen. It has a middle thing or something.

as you can see it's just all in the middle. that's not the edge of the tv.

they've done a great job with that.

well this opening will spoiler all kingdom hearts parts but...

you will see them anyways sooner or later.

we almost reached that point in kh 1.

we are almost there. That's the next game with the cards. never played it. The name is...

what's the name.. chain of memories. right.

now we got to my favourite character (in kh! best character is still rydia!)

ah I want to play Roxas again.

that's kh 2.

and that is supposed to be a sequence of Kh3 so what will hapen (not confirmed though)

alright and I try to fix the screen real quick (didn't work u.u)

Idk if it's supposed to be that small from the game itself.

but yeah...

mh where was it again.

well whatever, let's see if it's different ingame before we change anything.

cause I haven't changed the settings. Anyways before I'll start with the gameplay I will tell you why it took so long for me to make the last video.

alright, I recently uploaded a 0.2 Video, right?

and it was a really long video (like 38 ish 39 minutes long)

and somehow the main video (so the video with critical mode/ veteran modus (german) couldn't be rendered. don't ask me why not.

Anyways, it told me the data was "damaged" (altough the video wasn't damaged or so it worked quite well). So I thought since it didn't tell me anything like this the whole time "Hey let's replace it with the same data again" since it could be the data which was in the movie maker.

alright let's turn the sound a bit down.

that I can talk to you. alright.

so I did it once again and put in the same data (or more the same video) and took the same times (it could be moved 2 or 3 seconds now, was a bit shitty from me and that bug)

anyways it didn't work and it took quite some time cause I tryed it more then once.

And then I just took the video (wasn't damaged or something like I said and as you could see) and split it into 14 pieces.

writing down the times and so on what stood there.

and yeah, so i pasted it into the movie maker again but some times of the video will be a bit wrong but whatever.

I mean if there is a 2 second difference noone cares (expect for me xD)

and the 14th part was "damaged again or some shit like that-

and I couldn't paste it into the video but whatever that was a 3 to 4 second video to make the ending somewhat better but tssss whatever.

and as I said someone told me about this "share function"

idk if it'll work with the audio but..

I think it'll work out. the only question I have is "how can I get this from the ps4 to my pc to render it. (had to change my usb stick's setings)

But yeah we will do it somehow.

instantly the proud mode cause we are no noobs.

turn off vibration because it's bad. (imagine you're in a boss fight and the boss is doing it's "boss attack" (haha ya see what I did there?) and the fuckin controller is shaking like hell so you can't dodge)

and yes we want subtitles. yup we want to start with these setings.

alright I'll probably have to zoom back with the camera.

nope.

yup and there we are back again at kh 1 (sorry for that one before xD)

and there you can see that the really used a sail ( I meant raft)

mhh

yeah yeah.

yes I want to see the tutorial.

yeah

yeah

yeah I know that.

oh god that's way better to move like this.

that's SO MUCH BETTER to move like this.

yeah, yeah!

square to block.

yeah.. well we know everything of that.

oh wow I can't even lock her on, what the fuck.

and now it says "yeah you can lock on"

the movement is way better then in kh1

it's faster and smoother.

but i think the camera is to fast.

oh wow, that's it?

yeah it's ok. I know that.

Now I have to defeat her right?

wait I've already defeated her?

nevermind it'll start now.

omg she'll shoot her bubles now. nope the lazer beam. wtf.

yeah just you laugh!

ah god.

sadly I can't play critical mode. I can still remember when I first played critical mode i died here cause ursula did way too much damage.

what's the matter. You don't wanna fight anymore?

oh god.

oh I dodged everything.

what? this hits me automatically? I've easily dodged that.

oh god she'll do the lazer beam again.

wow that lazer beam is so bad seriously.

boom! (cause I killed her with fire^^)

and she´s gone. this old bag.

nice boat I'd say.

what? already 15 minutes recorded. respect.

I wanted to do a short video..

well this will probably be up later then 9 pm (german time).

well can't cahnge that. But I have to sit longer on this since I have to do the video for tomorrow too since I am in Dreieich tomorrow. (as you could see that didn't work out)

cause I won't be back until 9 pm. It's until 12 pm alot of times. (well I came home at 0:30 am in the morning I gues)

and there you can see riku's sword from kingdom hearts 2.

spoiler* it hasn't changed alot, but..

oh I can't remember that keyhole.

but I can remember this scene.

you will see this soon enough in

in kh 1.

in 3 or 4 parts. (well you saw this phrase pretty much at the beginning but I mean the character)

yup.

let's finish this game real quick so I can play it on critical mode.

yeah yeah it's ok I can read this later on.

these are just a few notes.

yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, I know, I know!

Nothing new. I mean it stands right there.

wow.

argh I'm bad. I seriously am bad.

that's ok

it's the first time anyways.

it's a bit hard to control with the analogue stick.

it was way easier on the ds in my oppinion.

oh there's another of these things. I'll take that.

That's it?

and? Oh wow I instantly got an a.

and the (thunder dive?). that's the best attack expect heal spells. I am using it all the time with both characters.

yup, that's the best mechanic they made so far. I also wanted to try that out in Kingdom Hearts 0.2 (gues that was part 2 or so) but sadly it didn't work.

"No, yes, OHHHH!" can't do anything against that.

yeah I know.

yeah I knowwww.

i know.

but before I do something at there..

oh so I can't get into the menu. Oh well.

alright I'll try to swing like he did.

oh damn I shouldn't click on x.

are there any items on top of that? I always click that stupid x.

these setings confuse me cause on the ds x would be b. so in the ds versuon you've used a to attack and b to jump. that's a bit unfortunate now.

but whatever. oops.

ok so now i can click on the items. we obviously don't have a new keyblade since we haven't finished a world yet.

these are my items.. uhm.

mh?

can I get to my deck somehow?

I'd like to change that but ok. If you don't wanna let me.

well I'd end the part right here. It has already been 25 minutes. Hope you've enjoyed in some way. leave a sub or like if you enjoyed it and I hope to see you again next time. (also thanks for watching :D)

Earth's Magnetic Field Is Going To Flip, Here's How We Know - Duration: 4:49.

In 1600, William Gilbert published a paper detailing how Earth behaves as a giant magnet.

That seems like a long time ago, but in geologic time, that's nothing.

It's taken hundreds of years to understand how Earth's magnetic field works… but now

that we do, scientists are trying to find hints from Earth's history that might reveal

the future of this ever-changing invisible field all around us.

Specifically, archaeologists are studying the handles of ancient pottery.

Yeah.

But before I can explain it, we have to get to how the field affects you.

Scientists believe Earth's magnetic field is generated by the spinning of the Earth's

core.

Our planet's magnetic field is super important, as it blocks harmful rays emanating out of

the sun from hitting us on the ground, destroying the possibility of life as we know it.

No big deal.

It's always around us, and it strengthens and weakens over time -- sometimes, it even

flips.

If it were to flip, the magnetic north pole would become the south, and suddenly all magnetic

compasses in the world would be backwards.

Everything else would be fine though.

It's not like it would turn off and back on.

NASA knows a magnetic field flip happens about every two to three hundred-thousand years.

We know the magnetic field has flipped, because there's evidence in the geologic record.

Scientists pulled lava from the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, where two tectonic plates meet.

The ridge is spreading, giving easy access to very old, cooled lava flows.

Minerals embedded in the lava are sensitive to Earth's magnetic field as the lava cools,

so, by collecting samples of lava, called "cores," and analyzing the rock...

I think you see where this is going…

It reveals a record of Earth's magnetic field over hundreds of thousands of years.

This shows the last "major field flip was about 780,000 years ago."

The problem is, cooling lava rock can't be precisely dated...

Lava rocks don't have timecodes or calendar reminders detailing when they oozed and then

cooled.

Geologic timescales can encompass thousands of years at a time, meaning we know this lava

cooled within a few millennia of whatever…

So, while these rocks can give us an ancient picture of the magnetic field, imagine a pictures

that is really zoomed out, or blurry!

We definitely would need a better image to fully understand whats happening.

Now, a paper published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences in February

2017, found a way to enhance this hypothetical image by using ancient pottery.

Clay is also subject to the same Earth's magnetic field record keeping, but the dates

are far more precise.

So, by analyzing the clay in 67 jar handles from the Iron Age kingdom of Judah, archaeologists

have found evidence of the magnetic field strength rising and falling over the 600 years

preceding 200 BCE!

All from jar handles made of clay!

The results were so clear, they could map the field picture down to a span of give or

take 15 years.

Imagine how much clearer a 15 year picture is compared to a 1000 year picture from geologic

time!

It looks like Earth's magnetic field strength was super high in the 8th century BCE, then

weakened from the 6th to 2nd century BCE.

The kicker for making this picture so clear, was the precise dating on the jar handle because

of royal stamps present on the handles of these 67 jars.

. Similar to how writing technology has gotten better since the Sumerians in 3000 BCE; over

time, stamp technology has changed… allowing the archaeologists to give atmospheric and

cosmological scientists a leg up in studying magnetic fields by precisely dating when things

changed, and of, by proxy, giving physicists studying the interior movement of the Earth

a little bit of help too.

A magnetic field flip is coming!

Exact magnetic north has moved more than 600 miles further north since it was first pegged

in the early 19th century, first at about 10 miles per year , and now closer to 40 miles

per year!

On top of that, the field has lost "10 percent of its strength over the last two centuries"

This causes more vibrant aurora, but don't fret.

The field continues to shield the surface of the planet from harmful charged particles,

and has the thick atmosphere to catch any that may eek through.

Long story short, go take a pottery class.

You might help scientists thousands of years in the future!

When the magnetic field flip does happen.

Earth's magnetic north will become magnetic south, and all the compasses in the world,

and any technology based on that, would be backwards!

5 Tips for Choosing the Best Mesothelioma Lawyer - Duration: 4:06.

Attorneys at national law firms are usually bar certified in multiple states.

Instead of simply filing your case where you live, experienced mesothelioma

attorneys will file your case in an area where they believe you will get the highest reward.

A local firm may not have the knowledge, experience, or certifications in order to do this.

The best mesothelioma lawyers will travel to meet their clients at home. Distance should never be an issue.

Many mesothelioma patients choose to see a doctor far from home in order to find an experienced specialist.

Finding a law firm should follow the same logic.

The best mesothelioma law firms may not be nearby, but they will be more experienced because they specialize in this type of case.

When you're choosing between attorneys, be sure to ask about their experience. Choose a firm that specializes and is experienced in asbestos litigation.

An experienced law firm will have handled hundreds of mesothelioma cases and won millions of dollars for clients.

Look for a law firm that works on a contingency basis. This means your lawyer gets a percentage of the compensation awarded to you.

If you wind up not receiving any compensation, then your lawyer does not collect fees.

This type of payment pushes attorneys to get you the highest amount of compensation possible.

Mesothelioma patients and their families have a lot on their plates.

Make sure to choose a firm that understands that and will work hard on your behalf.

Choosing to go through with a lawsuit may seem daunting but quality law firms do almost all of the work for you.

Your attorneys should do everything from traveling to visit you to researching your asbestos exposure.

The most difficult task for clients might be participating in a deposition, which is a recording of your testimony to be used as evidence.

After that, your participation should be minimal.

Your attorney should be someone you trust and feel comfortable with.

When you choose a doctor, you factor in their bedside manner and the quality of their staff.

You should have a good rapport with your attorney and their staff as well.

They should be easy to talk to, good at explaining your case, and respond to you in a timely manner.

Don't hesitate to ask hard questions. If a law firm can't answer your questions, or isn't available to talk to you, you can probably find a firm that will.
