something that's past so I'm urging you
to really go back to your website your
web site is like your public face to the

don't let that stop you don't let not
having website stop you so I just want
to give you some really quick tips about
it you may have heard that wordpress.com
and that always used to confuse me
wordpress.org is where you you can
download a theme basically the framework
of your website right I think this is
what this video is going to be about you
can go to wordpress.org you can download
a theme and then you get a host or it
can come actually you should get a host
first I strongly recommend
bluehost and I do have an affiliate link
i'm going to put below i like them
they're what I use for all of my
websites once you get a host a host is
like the land that you're going to build
your house and the website is the house
once you have the land right bluehost is
one Go Daddy's another there are many of
them but as i said i recommend bluehost
so once you have that right in there
they'll have what's called a one-click
install one click install so that means
you can literally just you have the land
and then you're basically going to just
pop up it's like an instant house you'll
put the framework of a wordpress site
okay so with that there are many free
seems okay and that's wordpress.org you
can go and look at the themes there but
that is self hosted meaning it's like
you own the house and you own the land
okay wordpress.com is like a platform
that you're putting your website on it's
free you're putting your website on
there now what the one drawback people
always mention is so it'll be like you
know my massage therapy wordpress.com
there is a way around that you can
simply buy your domain name and then
change it so we it doesn't have to have
the WordPress anymore so it'll just look
like a regular website and so I urge you
if you're feeling overwhelmed just start
with that go to wordpress com just set
up a blog that it's really a website it
will be fine now there are sometimes
there are some limitations to it but you
know like I'm not sure if you could put
PayPal buttons on I think you actually
can now there but their limitations
because it's basically like you're
renting a house so if you go to
wordpress com it's equivalent of you're
renting the house so if you're renting a
house you know you're not going to like
start ripping up the yard or repair the
ceiling there right there
rules you have to follow because it's
not your house but with wordpress com
you could get started in like an hour
and the other benefit that I think a lot
of experts don't mention to wordpress
com or blogger which is the same but
it's just run by Google is you don't
have to worry about security so that's a
really really nice thing if you are tech
phobic you might want to start with
wordpress com like I said or blogger
because you don't have to worry about
what are called plugins plugins or like
different tools that you have to install
to kind of protect your site to keep it
up to date and so on so the reason this
simpler way if it'll get you started I
would recommend that start there because
even within six months eight months or a
year if you want to move if you like
what you're blogging about and so on
there literally is a way where you can
easily move that content to your own
self hosted does that make sense so I
know with WordPress you can and I think
bloggers the same way you basically can
export most of it maybe not the images
but I think even the images and then you
can put it from where else okay because
I just don't want you to wait you know
as I talk to people and think back on my
history being on the web sometimes you
get overwhelmed and you want to have a
website and you might think oh it's not
pretty enough it doesn't look that good
I would say if you look at a lot of the
even be really well-known people online
in whatever your niches their first
website was awful okay a lot of them
will even say it the first website the
colors were bad it was very tacky
looking it just didn't look professional
but they did it and they got it out
there and as I started making some money
and as I had time you just improve it
you improve it and improve it so this
video is just really to urge you to pick
a platform whether Wix whether Weebly
whether wordpress.com or self hosted
with wordpress from wordpress stuff or
and that is
the most popular those are the ones that
i would recommend looking into i think i
will actually put a link to a site it's
not mine but they give great information
comparing some of these different

start with you know a little cabin get
in there and then from there eventually
you're going to enlarge the house you're
going to get bigger and more comfortable
okay so don't wait get the website up to
share your gift with the world okay
