Setty: I'm excited to be here

talking today to John Doerr,

chair of Kleiner Perkins,

one of the most famous

and successful venture capital

companies out there.

John has been a part of Google ever since its founding

and has been a board member all these years.

We are gonna talk to him today about people.

Welcome, John. Doerr: Thank you.

Setty: Good to talk to you today.

When an organization is fairly small,

we often hear from folks that, you know, I need to work

on my product, I need to work on my business idea, I need

to work on other things, and the people stuff,

that can come later.

Doerr: Yeah, no, it can't,

because how are you gonna get that done?

Well, the way you get it done is with people.

So I like to advise founders

that the most important thing they can do

in building their business is to recruit.

And there's no better recruiter for an organization

than the founder, the CEO, or the leadership.

To put a point on it, I say you should get up in the morning,

from the very start of the day,

and recruit until you can make no further progress.

Ideas are easy; it's execution that's everything.

And it takes a team of people to execute.

Setty: So for some of these entrepreneurs

and small businesses,

how would you have them think about the recruiting part?

Doerr: I believe that you should put most of your resources

into recruiting really outstanding people.

What comes to mind is the founder Mike McCue.

When he was building Flipboard, his first hire

was someone to head his people operations.

And his head of people operations helped him find

his technical co-founder, so don't defer.

Fill that position early.

The next, then, is, as early as possible,

try to get clear on what the culture is...

Setty: Yeah. Doerr: Of your organization,

because, as we know,

there's a very strong and clear culture at Google, I think.

Google's culture is probably as valuable

as the Google.com URL.

Culture will allow

your team, your people, your self

to make the right decisions more often and faster.

Setty: So there's this perception that

perhaps People Ops is all about the systems that we use,

the technology, the processes.

How do you, again, think about that issue?

Doerr: Oh, People Ops is not an applicant tracking system.

People Ops ought to be at the very fiber

of the being of a team.

When I sense that's the case,

then I'm more inspired, more willing to take risks

as an investor, to say, "That's a team that's gonna--

"it's gonna get its stuff done.

I want to back them."

Setty: So as you follow the evolution of organizations

like Amazon or Google,

what are some of the big pivot points that you have seen

that have helped these organizations scale?

Doerr: Hmm, the most important decisions they've made

are who are the key leaders in their team?

For example, Larry and Sergey's decision to hire

Omid Kordestani strongly affected the culture of Google,

as did the decision to recruit Wayne Rosing.

They helped define the culture of the company

and they themselves then led efforts to recruit

hundreds of people who define the culture.

One of the most frequent errors is

people hire their friends to work for themselves

and they all come from the same company

and so there's no diversity and it's a monoculture.

Diverse groups make better decisions.

Setty: So this is about the people issues

at any organization.

How would you think about measuring

how well that is going?

Doerr: Measures matter enormously.

There's a whole range of choices you can make

depending on where you believe your people are.

What are your goals with respect to diversity?

I strongly believe, if you don't begin

in building an organization with measures of how diverse

you want your engineering team or your overall team to be,

it's very hard to catch up with that.

Do you want to measure your success in hiring?

Do you want to measure their performance against the goals?

Do you want to measure their satisfaction with the culture?

To have a people operation that's not metrics driven

is probably to have a sloppy people operation,

an ineffective people operation,

a people operation where we're not clear

on what really matters.

The People Ops--

leadership, function, and agenda--

holds the soul of an organization in its hands.

Cherishing that culture, investing in it,

celebrating it is what allows organizations,

teams, and individuals to do amazing things.

Setty: Thank you, John, for sharing your wisdom,

for helping guide Google all these years,

and for personally being such a champion of our people

and our culture. Thank you very much.

Doerr: Thank you.

ROF Podcast Special Offer! Law And Disorder By Mike Papantonio – A Reflection Of Today's Politics - Duration: 7:59.

Pap, first off, let me just thank you, and also I guess to make the announcement that

you are, and I guess, we are offering a copy of your latest book, Law and Disorder, for

any new member of our podcast.

People can sign up, of course, at rofpodcast.com.

You sign up for the podcast, and we will send you an email that will get you your free copy

of Law and Disorder.

Just do me a favor, remind people of what Law and Disorder is about.

Just in terms of the plot.

I think people following Ring of Fire are certainly going to be able to connect real

well with Law and Disorder.

I think the reason Law and Disorder is selling so well is because it talks about corporate

stories that corporate media, they're not allowed to talk about.

I mean their advertisers don't let them.

The reason you don't see stories about pharmaceutical companies killing people, which happens every

day in this country.

The reason you don't see those kinds of stories or you don't see DuPont stories where they're

polluting an entire ecosystem, like the case I just finished handling.

You don't see those stories in corporate media.

We talk about them of course on Ring of Fire ...

Right.

This book, this is a fiction that's based on true stories.

I think that's the reason the book is selling so well.

I think people, they're seeing a part of the practice of law that they just aren't used

to seeing because it's real.

I mean there are real courtroom scenes, real deposition scenes, real companies doing really

bad things.

I've got to say, I'm a little biased, I think.

For me, the part that has really fascinated me about the type of law that you practice

and next week we're going to Mass Torts Made Perfect in Vegas.

We're going to be doing at least part of the show from there.

I do the Majority Report from there.

The reason why people, I think, really enjoy those shows is because this world of tort

law, of lawyers who do the work that you do, I don't think people fully understand just

how important it is to protecting citizens, consumers, protecting workers and particularly

in an era where you have this massive deregulation by a guy like Donald Trump, what you do becomes

that much more important.

I think people are fascinated by these stories.

The thing I loved about Law and Disorder and also I want to talk about just briefly, the

next episode of the trilogy, but the thing I love about it is, it's so hard for me as

just a feeling, empathetic person to understand how corporations can do these things that

I think it's very hard for people to imagine people can make these decisions.

To see the patchwork of decisions that are made that provide for these outcomes, I find

really fascinating.

Tell us about Law and Vengeance because this is part two, right, of the trilogy.

Law and Vengeance takes up where Law and Disorder left off with the character named Gina Romano.

She's just a hugely talented criminal defense lawyer who handles cases all over the country,

mostly the big cases.

She's put in a situation to where she has to handle a whistleblower case where a defense

contractor has sold to the American taxpayer a gun sight that's defective.

This, by the way, is a true story too.

The gun sight is defective to the point to where every 50 yards, the gun sight is called

a hologram gun sight, it actually is off three degrees at 50 yards.

That gives you an idea how inaccurate it is.

It's off because of humidity.

It's off because of temperature changes.

We actually handled that case.

What I've done is just made it into a fiction that tells the story.

A lot of the story is true, but it's been fictionalized from the standpoint of adding

some adventure to it that I think readers will really appreciate.

I think they'll appreciate Gina Romano.

It's very difficult.

People don't get that in the practice of law, it's just as difficult for a woman to move

to the top of the game.

You'd like to think that lawyers, that they've overcome that, but there's still a terrible,

terrible glass ceiling out there for female trial lawyers.

Gina overcomes that.

Gina's put in the fight of her life against one of the biggest weapons contractors in

the country after one of her partners is murdered, the partner who happens to be handling that

case initially.

The same characters are back.

Nicholas Deketomis, who is the lead character in Law and Disorder.

Some of those same characters are back.

They're helping further this fight against this huge weapons' contractor that simply

has control of the media, has control of government, has control of, from the standpoint of, it

certainly has the upper hand financially, which is the real world of what I do.

It's very few cases I handle where you don't have a company that is multi-billion dollar

company and where it is always a David and Goliath in the truest sense.

In this series of books though, the David, it's a little bigger than the typical David.

This is already a hugely successful law firm.

Nicholas Deketomis is an attorney who's been taking on the big corporations, everything

from tobacco to the biggest pharmaceutical industry and has won enough cases to where

they can actually go toe-to-toe with some of the biggest corporations on the globe.

That's where this book picks up.

I think the reason I wanted to give it away to our audience because they know these stories.

They hear these stories.

I think all they have to do is go to Amazon and read the reviews.

They'll see it's a strong book.

It's fantastic.

I wanted to do that for people who buy the podcast.

Well, I think I have been really hopeful that people really begin to appreciate the kind

of work that you guys do.

Let me ask one more question of it.

In the course of writing the book, when you're looking at it from a somewhat arm's length

in fictionalizing these things, but obviously a lot of this comes from your lived experience.

Have you gained any insights into just lawyering in general by reflecting upon it in this way?

Well, it does.

Every page you write, you have to keep in mind an overall strategy.

You've heard the concept of "Show me, don't tell me" when you're writing.

A good fiction should be more show me than it is tell me.

With that in mind, everything, every chapter that you're writing, you're building on this

strategy that you might have actually used in trial, and you're thinking as you're writing

the book, 'Well, gee.

I guess I could've done this.

Next time I think I'll do this.'

That's Interesting.

It's that "Show me, don't tell me" notion about how to write a book that takes you there.

Jeep Wrangler Rugged Ridge Center Radio Console (2011-2017 JK) Review & Install - Duration: 3:40.

I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com, and this is my review and installation of the Rugged

Ridge center radio console in charcoal, fitting all 2011 and up JKs.

Today, we're going to talk through the installation of this center console piece, which is a very

simple one out of three-wrench install.

This is going to snap right over top of your factory radio bezel, using some 3M adhesive

to adhere, and you can get this installed in about 15 minutes.

But we'll talk more about the installation in just a second.

We're also going to talk through the construction and a few of the feature of this console.

This is for those of you who want to change up the look of your interior.

This is definitely going to change the look of your dashboard, and you can also get additional

kits that will go around your cup holders, some door trim, a piece for your steering

wheel trim.

You can use this as a standalone part, or as part of a kit with a bunch of other pieces

that will change your entire interior.

This piece is, in my opinion, fairly priced for what you're getting, and it's a very easy

install.

So if you're looking to switch up the look of your interior, this is going to be a nice

option.

This piece is made of injection-molded ABS plastic that is designed to be UV-resistant,

so it's not going to fade or crack in the sun, and this is designed to go directly over

top of that factory center console piece.

So it'll fit really nice and it attaches very, very easily with 3M adhesive, which makes

it not only an easy install, but also something that's easy to remove if you ever decide to

do so.

As I said before, this is going to be a one out of three-wrench install that you can get

done in right around 15 minutes, and you really won't need any tools to get this installed,

just an alcohol-based cleaning product.

Anytime you're using 3M adhesive to adhere anything in your vehicle, having a nice, clean

surface is going to be very important to ensuring that the 3M sticks and stays stuck as long

as you want it to.

So once you take this out of the package, you can go ahead and hold it up to your radio,

make sure that it's going to fit properly, but also take note of which areas you're going

to need to clean.

You can see on the back of this where the 3M adhesive is, so you can see exactly what

areas need to be cleaned.

Use an alcohol prep pad or any good alcohol-based cleaner to clean the area on the center console.

From there, you'll peel back all of the red backing on the 3M adhesive, line it up properly,

and just push.

Make sure that you smooth all of the edges to make sure all of the adhesive sticks.

Now, anytime you're using 3M adhesive, it's a good idea to do it when it's around 70 degrees.

If it's a very cold day, you might not get the best adhesion and, of course, if it's

a very hot day as well, you can have some issues with sticking.

But if you do this when the temperature is moderate, this is going to be a very, very

easy install that anyone can do.

This is clearly a piece that is just an aesthetic mod.

This is not going to be functional.

So in my opinion, I don't want to spend a lot of money on this.

Yeah.

I want my Jeep to look cool, but I also want it to function really well.

So this coming in at right around $55, in my opinion, is a very fair price for the visual

impact that it's going to give you on your dashboard, and also for the fit and the finish

that you're getting.

So if you're looking to change up the look of your interior and you're not the type of

person that wants to start pulling off trim pieces and painting them, this is going to

be a much easier, quicker, cleaner, and reversible way of color-changing that bezel around your

radio.

So that's my review of the Rugged Ridge center radio console in charcoal, fitting all 2011

and up JKs that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.

>> GOOD AFTERNOON, EVERYBODY.

WE WANT TO GET YOU UP-TO-DATE ON

BREAKING NEWS.

AN AUTO -- OUT OF CONTROL JEEP

CRASHED INTO A AUTO AUCTION IN

BILLERICA, MASSACHUSETTS.

LET'S LISTEN TO THE PRESS

CONFERENCE FROM THE DISTRICT

ATTORNEY.

>> THIS IS AN ACTIVE SCENE, SO

WE HAVE A LIMITED AMOUNT OF

INFORMATION TO BE TAKEN IN AT

THIS POINT.

I'M JOINED NOW BY THE POLICE

CHIEF, THE DEPUTY FIRE CHIEF,

THE DETECTIVE LIEUTENANT,

SULLIVAN, FOR MY OFFICE -- FROM

MY OFFICE.

THIS MORNING POLICE RECEIVED A

CALL OF A VEHICLE THAT HAD GONE

OUT OF CONTROL INSIDE OF THE

MIDWAY AUCTION.

THE INFORMATION THAT WE HAVE AT

THIS POINT INDICATES THAT THERE

WERE SEVERAL HUNDRED CUSTOMERS,

AS WELL AS A FEW HUNDRED

EMPLOYEES, ON THE PROPERTY.

THERE WAS AN AUCTION GOING ON,

HAS A DOES EVERY WEDNESDAY.

CARS MOVED THROUGH THE LANE SO

THAT FOLKS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY

TO SEE THEM BID.

CARS TRAVEL A FEW PACES APART.

A 2006 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE WAS

WAITING TO ENTER, TO TRAVEL THEM

A LAME.

TRAVEL LANES ALTERNATING WITH

SAFE LANES, WHERE PEOPLE ARE

ABLE TO STAND.

BLUE LANES WHERE THE FOLKS ARE

ABLE TO STAND AND LOOK WHAT THEY

COME BY.

THE BLUE LANES HAD A LARGE

NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN THAT SPACE.

AS THIS VEHICLE BEGAN TO ENTER

THE BUILDING, FOLLOWING A PACE

BEHIND THE CAR IN FRONT OF IT,

IT SUDDENLY ACCELERATED,

TRAVELING THROUGH THE INSIDE OF

THE BUILDING AT A HIGH RATE OF

SPEED, STRIKING NUMEROUS PEOPLE,

ULTIMATELY BROUGHT TO A HALT A

CRASHING INTO A CINDERBLOCK WALL

AT THE FAR END.

AT THIS POINT WE ARE CONFIRMING

THAT ONE MALE AND TWO FEMALES

HAVE DIED AS A RESULT OF THEIR

INJURIES.

THERE ARE ANOTHER NINE

INDIVIDUALS WHO WERE AT THE

HOSPITAL BEING TREATED FOR

INJURIES, AS WELL AS ONE FAMILY

MEMBER OF AN INDIVIDUAL WHO IS

DECEASED WHO WAS TRANSPORTED

FROM THE SCENE AS A RESULT OF

STRESS AND OTHER ACTIVITY.

SO, OF THAT WE NOW KNOW THERE

ARE 70 FULL -- EXCUSE ME, EIGHT

PEOPLE WITH SERIOUS INJURIES AND

TWO OTHERS WITH LIFE-THREATENING

INJURIES.

THEY ARE AT AREAS HOSPITALS

ACROSS THE AREA.

-- VARIOUS HOSPITALS ACROSS THE

AREA.

ON THE SCENE WE HAVE THE STATE

LEASE, THE ACCIDENT

RECONSTRUCTION SECTION OF THE

STATE POLICE, THIS WILL BE A

LONG INVESTIGATION.

AS I MENTIONED, SEVERAL HUNDRED

PEOPLE ON SCENE WERE IN THE

PROCESS OF TALKING TO THOSE

FOLKS, GATHERING INFORMATION

ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED, THEY WILL

BE DOING A RECONSTRUCTION

ASSESSMENT IN TERMS OF THE

VEHICLE TO RULE OUT ISSUES WITH

THE VEHICLE OR ANYTHING ELSE

THAT MAY HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE

ACCIDENT AS WELL.

SO, IT'S GOING TO BE AN ONGOING

AND FAIRLY LENGTH INVESTIGATION.

>> [INAUDIBLE]

DRIVER WITNESSES [INAUDIBLE]

MID 70'S, HE MAY HAVE HAD SOME

SORT OF DISABILITY?

>> WE KNOW THAT THE DRIVER IS AN

EMPLOYEE OF THE COMPANY.

ONLY EMPLOYEES ARE ALLOWED TO

DRIVE THE CARS AT THE AUCTION.

FOLKS ARE GATHERING AROUND,

LOOKING AT THEM, ONLY BEING

DRIVEN BY EMPLOYEES.

THE INDIVIDUAL DRIVING THE CAR

WAS IN HIS 70'S. >> DID HE HAVE

A MEDICAL EMERGENCY?

>> WE DON'T KNOW THAT, THAT'S

PART OF THE THING WE WILL BE

LOOKING AT.

>> THE DRIVER, YOU RULED OUT

THAT THIS WAS AN INTENTIONAL

ACT?

>> THE PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION

INFORMATION WE HAVE NOW IS THAT

THIS IS A TRAGIC ACCIDENT.

>> IS THERE A CHANCE THAT HE HAD

THE WRONG PEDAL?

>> WE WILL BE LOOKING AT ALL OF

THOSE THINGS.

>> [INAUDIBLE]

>> THAT'S ALL PART OF THE

INVESTIGATION.

>> HOW IS THE DRIVER?

>> HE HAS NOT BEEN HOSPITALIZED.

>> DOES THAT MEAN IT WAS NOT A

MEDICAL CONDITION?

>> NO, JUST NOT HOSPITALIZED AT

THIS POINT.

EX CAN YOU DESCRIBE THE

INJURIES?

>> FROM WHAT WE KNOW, SOME

PEOPLE HAVE HEAD INJURIES, BACK,

LEG, AND TORSO INJURIES.

>> SINCE HE WASN'T INJURED, IS

HE ABLE TO TELL --

>> IT'S ALL PART OF THE

INVESTIGATION AT THIS POINT.

>> [INDISCERNIBLE]

>> I DO KNOW THAT.

A NUMBER OF YEARS, BUT I DON'T

KNOW THAT.

I DO NOT HAVE THAT AT THIS

POINT, YET.

SOME OF THIS INFORMATION IS VERY

NEW, SO I DON'T HAVE IT YET.

>> A MALE AND TWO FEMALES,

ACCELERATING?

>> THERE ARE LANES THAT CROSS

THE BUILDING.

READ LANES ALTERNATING WITH LOU

LANES ARE FOR THE CARS.

BLUE LANES ARE SAFE LANES FOR

PEOPLE TO SIT IN.

OBVIOUSLY PEOPLE ARE CROSSING

BACK-AND-FORTH BECAUSE THEY ARE

LOOKING AT A CAR IN LANE NUMBER

TWO.

THERE IS A LOT OF PEOPLE MOVING

THROUGH.

THE CARS ARE MOVING ACROSS THE

BUILDING FAIRLY SLOWLY

FOLLOWING, AS YOU WOULD MAYBE IN

TRAFFIC, A COUPLE OF PACES

BEHIND EACH OTHER AS CARS EXIT

ONE END OF THE GARAGE AND OTHERS

ARE BEING BROUGHT THROUGH.

THERE WERE FOLKS WHO WERE STRUCK

IN THE RED AND THE BLUE LANES.

EVIL CROSSING AND PEOPLE ON THE

SIDELINES, IF YOU WILL.

THERE WERE MORE PEOPLE OUTSIDE,

BUT TO LOOK AT THE CARS,

PRIMARILY PEOPLE WOULD BE INSIDE

.

>> ALL THE STRUCK VICTIMS WERE

INSIDE THE BUILDING?

>> WE DON'T KNOW THAT, YET.

THERE MAY BE FOLKS WHO WERE

CLOSE TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THAT

WALL.

WHO WERE INJURED AS WELL.

WE ARE LOOKING AT ALL OF THAT.

>> IS THAT TRUE INSIDE THE

WAREHOUSE?

>> I DON'T KNOW THE LENGTH, BUT

IT IS A FAIRLY LONG BUILDING.

A NUMBER OF CARS COULD LINEUP.

>> IS THERE AN ESTIMATE?

>> PROBABLY ABOUT A FOOTBALL

FIELD.

>> [INAUDIBLE]

>> WE ARE LOOKING AT ALL OF

THAT, WE HAVE RECONSTRUCTION

HERE.

>> CAN YOU SAY ANYTHING ABOUT

THE FIRST RESPONDERS?

[INAUDIBLE]

>> THERE ARE ALWAYS OFFICERS,

FIRE AND POLICE THAT WERE HERE

ON WEDNESDAY FOR THE DETAIL,

WORKING DETAILS FOR THE AUCTION,

BECAUSE IT DRAWS SUCH A LARGE

CROWD.

THERE WERE, IN FACT, PROBABLY

FOR POLICE OFFICERS AND AT LEAST

ONE FIREMAN HERE.

AS YOU CAN SEE, THIS WAS A

COORDINATED RESPONSE, THE CHIEF

WILL SPEAK TO THAT.

PEOPLE FROM A NUMBER OF

DEPARTMENTS TO HELP AT THE SCENE

AND ASSIST THE INJURED.

>> [INDISCERNIBLE]

>> THAT'S ALL PART OF THE

INVESTIGATION.

I'M GOING TO TURN IT OVER TO THE

CHIEF.

>> THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

I'M NOT IN A POSITION TO ANSWER

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE INCIDENT, I

JUST WANT TO EXTEND OUR

SYMPATHIES TO THE COMMUNITY, TO

THE EMPLOYEES, AND TO THE

VICTIMS AND VICTIMS FAMILIES

HERE.

THIS IS A TRAGIC INCIDENT.

AGAIN, PRELIMINARY INFORMATION

TELLS US THAT THIS WAS AN

ACCIDENT.

WE ARE VERY GRATEFUL FOR THE

MUTUAL AID HELPED THAT WE HAVE

RECEIVED FROM MANY COMMUNITIES

THAT WE HAVE RECEIVED FROM THE

GREATER LOWELL AREA.

CHIEF?

HOW MANY OTHER COMMUNITIES?

JUST WANT TO SPECIALLY REACH OUT

TO THOSE COMMUNITIES AND THANK

THEM FOR THEIR ASSISTANCE.

THIS WAS A LARGE AND CHAOTIC

SCENE.

A LOT OF BY STANDARDS AROUND.

IT WAS A CHAOTIC SCENE AND I

WANT TO THANK THE FIRST

RESPONDERS WHO ASSISTED US IN

THE INCIDENT TODAY.

>> HAVE THERE BEEN ANY OTHER

INCIDENTS?

>> THEY'LL ALL BE A PART OF THE

INVESTIGATION.

>> IN TERMS OF SAFETY AND THINGS

LIKE THAT, WHO IS THE PERSON WHO

HAS OVERSIGHT?

>> ALL WORKPLACES ARE CONTROLLED

BY OSHA.

THE SAFETY OF THOSE FOLKS IS

CONTROLLED BY OSHA.

IF THERE IS ANYTHING SIGNIFICANT

THAT HAPPENS, WE WILL PROVIDE

NEW INFORMATION, BUT THIS WILL

BE A FAIRLY LONG, ONGOING

INVESTIGATION.

THANK YOU.

>> THAT WAS MARY RYAN, THE

DISTRICT ATTORNEY DOWN THERE IN

MASSACHUSETTS.

THIS ALL UNFOLDED IN THE WRECK

A, MASSACHUSETTS -- BILLERICA,

MASSACHUSETTS.

THEY WERE HAVING AN AUTO AUCTION

THIS MORNING.

HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE WERE INSIDE

AND OUTSIDE THE BUILDING.

IT APPEARS THAT A 2006 JEEP AND

CHEROKEE ENTERED THE BUILDING,

DRIVEN BY AN EMPLOYEE, AND

STARTED TO DRIVE THROUGH THE

CROWD.

>> A QUICK UPDATE, REQUESTING

RESOURCES TO START -- RESOURCES

THAT WE WOULDN'T NORMALLY KNOW

ABOUT MEETING RIGHT AWAY.

AS HE EVALUATED, HE WAS WALKING

AROUND AND CALLING FOR MORE

RESOURCES AND WE WERE ABLE TO

GET A LOT OF RINGS HEADED THIS

WAY WELL IN ADVANCE OF WHAT WE

NORMALLY WOULD IF WE WERE JUST

RESPONDING TO A CALL.

WE DO TRAIN FOR MASS SCHEDULE TO

GAIN SINCE LIKE THIS, HOPING TO

NEVER HAVE TO USE IT.

YOU KNOW, WE HAVE PLANS IN PLACE

FOR THESE TYPES OF SITUATIONS.

THAT IS WHAT WE ARE FALLING BACK

ON FOR THE NUMBER OF RESOURCES

THAT WE NEEDED.

NEIGHBORING DEPARTMENTS,

HOSPITALS, PARAMEDIC UNITS, THEY

ALL KICKED IN AND MADE THE

SYSTEM WORK THE WAY IT IS

DESIGNED TO.

>> [INAUDIBLE]

>> I BELIEVE THAT THERE WERE

NINE OR 10 BETWEEN THE AREA

DEPARTMENTS AND PRIVATE

AMBULANCES.

THE FIRST ONE THERE, THEY SET UP

TRIAGE, ALL OF THEM TRANSPORTING

ONCE, MAYBE TWICE.

THE MED FLIGHT DIDN'T COME OUT

OF HERE.

I BELIEVE IT WAS OUT OF LITTLE

GENERAL.

I'M NOT POSITIVE ABOUT THAT.

>> CAN YOU DISCUSS THE TRIAGE

PROCESS, SIR?

AND THE COORDINATION AND YOU HAD

TO DO WITH AREA TRAUMA CENTERS?

>> WE DIDN'T GET INVOLVED IN

THAT PART.

THE SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO GET

THE RESOURCES HERE AND FROM

THERE THEY DECIDE WHERE THEY GO.

NOT TRYING TO OVERWHELM ONE

FACILITY.

>> CAN YOU DESCRIBE FOR THE

FIRST RESPONDER SAW WHEN HE

ARRIVED?

>> I HAVEN'T HAD A CHANCE TO

SPEAK WITH THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE

BEEN INVOLVED.

THEY ARE SETTING UP FOR THE

INVESTIGATION IN PART.

>> WITH THEY TRY TO PERFORM CPR?

>> I DON'T HONESTLY KNOW THAT AT

THIS POINT.

>> AT THE BUILDING, DID YOU NEED

TO DO ANYTHING TO SHORE UP THE

BUILDING?

>> WE ARE WORKING.

WE HAVE SYSTEMS FROM BEDFORD

FIRE, TRYING TO STABILIZE, WHICH

WE ARE DOING NOW, MAKING SURE

THE BUILDING IS SAFE.

>> IS IT AMERICA WILL THAT THERE

WASN'T MORE LET -- MORE LOSS OF

LIFE?

>> OBVIOUSLY IT COULD HAVE BEEN

A LOT WORSE WITH THE NUMBER OF

PEOPLE THAT WERE THERE.

IT'S A VERY DYNAMIC SITUATION

THERE.

A VERY BUSY PLACE.

>> [INDISCERNIBLE]

PERMIT TO OPERATE WITH THE CITY?

>> AS FAR AS I'M AWARE OF,

EVERYTHING IN THIS BUILDING IS A

FIRST-CLASS OPERATION AND

UP-TO-DATE.

>> THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

Jeep Wrangler Rugged Ridge Polished Aluminum Cold Air Intake (2007-2017 JK) Review & Install - Duration: 5:32.

I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com, and this is my review and installation of the Rugged

Ridge Cold Air Intake, fitting all 2007 and up JKs.

There are two different versions of this cold air intake, one for those of you with the

2007 to 2011 JK, and one for those of you with the 2012 and up, and that is because

Jeep did change the engine between those years, so make sure you get the right one for your

Wrangler.

Today we're gonna talk through the installation of this cold air intake which is going to

be a very simple one out of three wrench install.

This is designed to bolt directly in place on your JK, and you can get this installed

in right around an hour, but we'll talk more about the installation in just a second.

We're also gonna talk through the construction and a few of the features of this cold air

intake.

A cold air intake on your JK is going to provide you with a little bit more throttle response,

a little bit better efficiency as far as miles per gallon and you are going to get a little

bit more noise from underneath the hood.

But I wouldn't expect to see huge gains in power or torque.

If you do see any, they're probably going to be at the very top of the power band where

we don't spend a lot of our time.

A cold air intake probably isn't the best idea for those of you who are doing a lot

of off-roading where it's wet, whether that be muddy or doing water crossings because

this will make it a lot easier to suck water into the engine which of course can cause

a lot of damage through hydrolocking.

You're probably better off sticking with your factory air box if you do a lot of wheeling

near water.

However, if you are somebody who stays on the road or if you do wheeling in drier environments

or stay on the rocks, a cold air intake will give you a couple of those benefits that we

mentioned.

And this is going to be an option that is going to be less expensive than a lot of the

other cold air intakes out there.

There are some sealed box cold air intakes which will help to draw in even cooler, fresher

air.

There are a couple different options out there that have some additional bells and whistles

as far as telling you when your filter is clogged up those types of things, and of course,

you are going to pay more for those features.

This is going to be more of a bare bones, simple cold air intake that still has a reusable

filter that will give you the benefits you're after.

So, this is a 6063 mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube and this does come with a high flow conical

filter that is going to be reusable, but other than that not much to the system.

As I said, it is fairly bare bones and fairly simple.

Of course, it does have this heat shroud that's designed to draw the coldest air possible

from the front corner of the engine bay, but if we're being honest with ourselves you're

still drawing air from underneath the engine which is going to be hot.

If you want a true cold air intake, the only real way to do that is by installing a snorkel

so that you're actually drawing cool fresh air from outside of the engine bay.

This is going to be a very easy to install cold air intake.

And as long as you're okay having the polished pipe under the hood, I know some of you would

rather stick with something more stealthy and black, but if you like the polished look,

this is going to be an inexpensive cold air intake option.

As I mentioned before, this is going to be a very simple one out of three wrench install

that you're gonna be able to get done in about an hour with just some traditional hand tools.

The first step is going to be removing that factory air box and your factory air intake

tube from the Jeep, there are a couple of clips and a couple of screws that you'll have

to remove as well as some clamps to get that off of your Wrangler.

Once that is removed, be very careful to unsnap the ambient air temperature sensor from the

wiring harness and then very carefully remove it from the intake tube, because you are going

to be reinstalling that into your new intake.

After that, you will attach your heat shield in place of your air box, and that'll attach

on that inner fender well, a couple of screws from the underside, a couple of screws from

the topside.

And then it's just a matter of using the included hardware to attach your new intake tube and

your new filter into your Jeep, finally snapping your wiring harness back together for that

temperature sensor.

The whole process isn't gonna take you much more than an hour.

This is something anybody can do in their driveway.

Like I said, this is a fairly bare bones and simple version of a cold air intake.

It doesn't have a lot of those other bells and whistles that some of the other brands

have.

But it's still going to give you those few additional miles per gallon, that little bit

of additional throttle response and a little bit more noise from underneath the hood.

So, if that's all you're after, this is a good way to do that on a budget.

If you want some of those bells and whistles, we have those options as well, however, they

are going to be more expensive.

As I said before, this is a very simple and bare bones cold air intake set up, and it

comes in at less expensive than a lot of the others on the market, a little bit less than

$200.

If all you're looking is for a few additional MPGs, some more throttle response and some

more sound from underneath the hood and you're on a budget.

This is gonna be an excellent option.

If you want some of those additional bells and whistles and some of those fancier features

and you're willing to pay for them, we have those options available as well.

So, if your JK stays on the road or you only wheel in dry environments, and you're not

worried about hydrolocking, a cold air intake is a way to get a little bit more efficiency,

a little bit more noise and some more throttle response out of your engine.

And this one from Rugged Ridge is a way to accomplish those things, all on a budget.

So, that's my review of the Rugged Ridge Cold Air Intake, fitting all 2007 and up JKs, that

you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.

Jeep Wrangler Drake Off Road Hood Hold Downs (2007-2017 JK) Review & Install - Duration: 5:49.

I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com, and this is my review and installation of the Drake

Off-Road Hood Hold Downs fitting all 2007 and up JKs.

Today we're gonna talk through the installation of these hood hold downs which is a very simple

one out of three wrench install.

You'll be able to get these swapped into your JK in about an hour or less.

These will take the place of your factory hold down, so there's no need to drill or

do any major modifications.

But we'll talk more about the installation in just a second.

We're also going to talk through the construction and a few of the features of these hold downs.

These are going to appeal to a couple of different groups of people.

Some of you are looking to just change up the look of your Jeep by modifying your hood

hold downs and want to go with something that is a turnbuckle style like you see here.

Another group is just looking for something that's going to hold the hood of their Jeep

down better, so they don't have that iconic Jeep JK hood flutter, especially when you're

driving down the highway.

People have done everything from removing the factory spring to swapping out the factory

rubber piece in your factory hood hold downs, and going to something like this that is solid

and has no give to it will definitely keep your hood from fluttering.

Now there are a couple of different versions of these out there.

There is an aluminum hood hold down that is also adjustable from Rugged Ridge that has

a little bit more aluminum.

And that's going to be a little bit more like that factory hood hold down mechanism, but

instead of being rubber and plastic, it's going to be aluminum, so again it eliminates

that flutter.

This is also going to be a mostly aluminum and partly plastic option, but instead of

that flip down mechanism that's very similar to factory, this uses a push pin to keep everything

nice and tight.

Now I really like the look that you get from these.

It's a very mechanical look and a very mechanical style.

And these are a little bit more minimalist than the Rugged Ridge version of an aluminum

hold down.

However, if you're really looking to get the hood very, very tight, I think you can do

that more effectively with the Rugged Ridge simply because they maintain that factory-style

latching mechanism that allows you to get that hood nice and tight.

With something like this, in order to get the hood really, really tight, you have to

push down on the hood to get that push pin in place.

To make it easier to get the push pin in place you have to leave them just a little bit looser

than you would with the Rugged Ridge version.

The Rugged Ridge version of these aluminum hood hold downs is also going to be a little

bit less expensive than these which of course is a nice feature, saves you a little bit

of money for those other mods.

These hood hold downs are very well built.

These are going to have a plastic bracket that's going to go on the fender side and

the hood side.

They have a stainless steel hind joint in the middle here.

In the center of those two hind joints is going to be a billet aluminum adjuster.

This is just an aluminum color, but you can also purchase a black one if you want that

more blacked-out stealthy look.

And as I said before, these use a push pin.

You can go ahead and push that pin and remove it, and then go ahead and reinstall it very

easily.

And, of course, it has a piece of cable so that when you do remove that pin you have

the hood popped its not going to fall down, you're not going to lose it, it's going to

stay attached exactly where it should.

And a nice feature is they have rubber coated that cable so as your driving down the highway

if that does flutter a little bit and make contact with the paint you're not going to

end up scratching the paint off of your Jeep.

As I said before the install of these is very, very simple.

You can get this done in about an hour with just some traditional hand tools.

The first step in the installation is going to be popping the hood and removing the factory

hood hold downs.

You can do that by unscrewing a couple of bolts from the inside of the hood and a couple

from the inside of the fender to get rid of those factory hold downs and then use your

new hold downs and the included hardware to get these bolted into place.

Now once these are installed, you can go ahead close the hood, latch it, loosen up your jam

nuts, and then turn that turnbuckle to get them nice and tight.

And after that, you tighten down the jam nuts, and that's all there is to it.

This is definitely something anybody can get done in their driveway in about an hour with

some traditional hand tools.

These hood hold downs come in at right around $130, and if you are interested in the black

turnbuckles to give you that blacked-out look, those are around $15 for a pair.

As I said, these are going to be a little bit more expensive than the Rugged Ridge hood

hold downs, but these definitely give you more of that minimalist and more of that mechanical

look.

Those Rugged Ridge hold downs are going to do a really nice job of holding the hood as

tight as possible, whereas this mechanism because you have a push pin, is going to require

you to leave the hood just a tiny bit looser.

So it really depends on what you're after.

If this is going to be more of a visual mod, if you love the look of these and you're okay

having that hood just a touch looser, this is going to be a great option.

If you want a little bit of a chunkier look that's more similar to the factory style just

made of aluminum and you can get that hood as tight as possible, then the Rugged Ridge

option may be a little bit better for you.

And it's also going to save you a little bit of money.

So whether you're looking to eliminate some hood flutter or you're just looking to change

out your hood hold downs for something that gives you a different look, these are going

to be a really nice option.

So that's my review of the Drake Off-Road Hood Hold Downs, fitting all 2007 and up JKs

that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.

THE INFORMATION WE HAVE

INDICATES THAT THERE WERE

SEVERAL HUNDRED CUSTOMERS AS

WELL AS A FEW HUNDRE EMPLOYEES

ON THE PROPERTY.

THERE WAS AN AUCTION GOING ON AS

IT DOES EVERY WEDNESDAY.

THE CARS ARE MOVED THROUGH THE

LANE SO FOLKS HAVE AN

OPPORTUNITY TO SEE THEM AND BID

ON THE CARS.

THE CARS TRAVEL A FEW PACES

APART AND THEY COME THROUGH AND

THEY ARE SEEN AND A FEW PACES

BEHIND THAT IS THE NEXT CAR.

2006 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE WAS

WAITING ENTER TO TRAVEL DOWN

THE LANE.

THE INSIDE OF THE BUILDING HAS

TRAVEL LANES ALTERNATING WITH

SAFE LANES WERE PEOPLE CAN

STAND.

THESE ARE RED LANES WHICH THE --

IN WHICH THE CAR DRIVES AND BLUE

LANES WHERE THE FOLKS CAN LOOK

AT THE CARS AS THEY COME DOWN.

THERE WAS A LARGE NUMBER OF

PEOPLE IN THAT SPACE.

AS THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO ENTER

THE BUILDING, FOLLOWING THE CAR

BEHIND IT, IT SUDDENLY

ACCELERATED AND TRAVELED THROUGH

THE INSIDE OF THE BUILDING AT A

HIGH RATE OF SPEED, STRIKING

NUMEROUS PEOPLE.

ULTIMATELY, IT WAS BROUGHT TO A

HALT BY CRASHING INTO A

CINDERBLOCK WALL AT THE FAR END.

AT THIS POINT, WE ARE CONFIRMING

TH ONE MALE AND TWO FEMALES

HAVE DIED AS A RESULT OF THEIR

INJURIES.

THERE ARE ANOTHER NINE

INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE AT THE

HOSPITAL BEING TREATED FOR

INJURIES AS WELL AS ONE FAMILY

MEMBER OF AN INDIVIDUAL WHO IS

DECEASED WHO WAS TRANSPORTED

FROM THE SCENE AS A RESULT OF

STRESS.

OF THAT, WE KNO THAT EIGHT

PEOPLE HAVE SERIOUS INJURIES AND

TO OTHERS WITH LIFE-THREATENING

INJURIES.

THEY ARE AT VARIOUS HOSPITALS

ACROSS THE AREA.

BILLERICA POLICE AND FIRE AS

WELL A STATE POLICE ARE ON FIRE.

ALSO THE ACCIDENT RECONSTRUCTION

DEPARTMENT OF THE POLICE AND

THIS WILL BE A LONG

INVESTIGATION.

SEVERAL HUNDRED PEOPLE ARE

UNSEEN AND WE ARE IN THE PROCESS

OF TALKING TO THOSE FOLKS AND

GATHERING INFORMATION ABOUT WHAT

HAPPENED.

THEY WILL DO A RECONSTRUCTION

ASSESSMENT IN TERMS OF THE

VEHICLE TO RULE OUT ANY INCIDENT

ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE OR

ANYTHING ELSE THAT MAY HAVE

CONTRIBUTED TO THE ACCIDENT AS

WELL.

IT'S GOING TO BE AN ONGOING AND

FAIRLY LENGTHY INVESTIGATION.

CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT THE

DRIVER?

IS HE IN HIS MID-70'S AND HE

WORKS THERE?

MAYBE HE HAD SOMETHING HAPPEN?

>> THE DRIVER IS AN EMPLOYEE OF

THE COMPANY.

ONLY EMPLOYEES ARE ALLOWED TO

DRIVE THE CARS OF THE AUCTION.

FOLKS ARE GATHERING AND LOOKING

THROUGH AND THERE ONLY BEING

DRIVEN BY EMPLOYEES.

THE INDIVIDUAL DRIVING THE CAR

IS IN H 70'S AND HE WAS

DRIVING THE CAR.

>> DID HE HAVE A MEDICAL

EMERGENCY?

>> WE DON'T KNOW THAT BUT WE

WILL BE LOOKING AT THAT.

>> I KNOW YOU RULED OUT THAT

THIS WAS AN INTENTIONAL ACT.

>> THE POLITICALLY INFORMATION

WE HAVE NOW SUGGESTS THIS IS A

TRAGIC ACCIDENT BUT THE

INVESTIGATION IS ONLY TWO HOURS

OLD.

IS THERE A CHANCE HE HAD THE

WRONG PEDAL.

>> WE WILL BE LOOKING AT ALL OF

THOSE THINGS.

THAT'S ALL PART OF THE

INVESTIGATION AS WE DIG INTO THE

BACKGROUND.

>> IS THE DRIVER ONE OF THE

INJURED?

>> HE IS NOT.

HE'S NOT HOSPITALIZED AT THIS

POINT.

>> WHAT ABOUT THE INJURIES?

CAN YOU DESCRIBE SOME OF THE

INJURIES?

>> FROM WHAT WE KNOW, SOME

PEOPLE HAVE HEAD INJURIES AND A

NUMBER OF BACK AND LEG AND TORSO

INJURIES.

IT'S ALL PART OF THE

INVESTIGATION.

I DON'T KNOW THAT.

A NUMBER OF YEARS BUT I DON'T

KNOW THAT.

>> [INDISCERNIBLE]

>> I DO NOT HAVE THAT AT THIS

POINT.

SOME OF THE INFORMATION IS VERY

NEW SO I DON'T HAVE THAT.

>> YOU SAID A MALE AND TWO

FEMALES WERE THE ONES WHO DIED?

>> THERE ARE LANES ACROSS THE

BUILDING.

RED LANES ALTERNATING WITH BLUE

LANES.

THE RED LANES OR FOR THE CARS,

THE BLUE LANES ARE A SAFE LANE

FOR PEOPLE TO STAND IN.

OBVIOUSLY, PEOPLE ARE CROSSING

BACK-AND-FORTH BECAUSE THEY MAY

BE LOOKING AT A CAR THAT'S IN

LANE NUMBER TWO.

THERE IS A LOT OF PEOPLE MOVING

THROUGH AND THE CARS ARE MOVING

ACROSS THE BUILDING FAIRLY

SLOWLY.

THEY ARE FOLLOWING A COUPLE OF

PACES BEHIND EACH OTHER.

AS THE CAR EXITS ONE AND OF THE

GARAGE, OTHER CARS ARE BEING

BROUGHT THROUGH SO THERE WERE

FOLKS STRUCK IN BOTH THE RED AND

THE BLUE LANES.

PEOPLE WERE CROSSING AND

STANDING ON THE SIDELINES.

>> WE UNDERSTAND IT WAS INSIDE

AND OUTSIDE?

>> THERE WERE MORE PEOPLE

OUTSIDE BUT TO LOOK AT THE CARS,

PRIMARILY PEOPLE WOULD BE INSIDE

LOOKING AT THOSE CARS.

ALL OF THE VICTIMS WERE

STRUCK INSIDE THE BUILDING?

WE DON'T KNOW THAT YET.

THERE MAY BE FOLKS WHO ARE CLOSE

TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THAT WALL.

WHO WERE INJURED AS WELL AND WE

ARE LOOKING INTO THAT.

>> YOU SAID IT'S ABOUT 80 YARDS

AWAY?

>> IT'S THE LENGTH OF THE

WAREHOUSE BUT I DON'T KNOW THE

EXACT LENGTH BUT IT'S A FAIRLY

LONG BUILDING.

THE NUMBER OF CARS COULD LINE

UP.

>> [INDISCERNIBLE]

PROBABLY ABOUT A FOOTBALL

FIELD LENGTH.

>> [INDISCERNIBLE]

WE ARE LOOKING AT ALL THAT

AND HAVE RECONSTRUCTION HERE.

CAN YOU SAY ANYTHING ABOUT

THE FIRST RESPONDERS?

THERE'LL ALWAYS OFFICERS.

IT DRIVE SUCH A LARGE ACCOUNT SO

THERE WERE PROBABLY FOR POLICE

OFFICERS AND AT LEAST ONE

FIREMAN HERE WORKING DETAILS.

AS YOU CAN SEE, THIS WAS A

CORDON RESPONSE IN THE CHEAPO

SPEAK TO THAT.

A NUMBER OF RECEN DEATH OF

DEPARTMENTS RESPONDED IN

CONTROLLING THE SCENE AND

ASSISTING THE INJURED.

>> [INDISCERNIBLE]

>> THAT'S ALL PART OF THE

INVESTIGATION AS WE GATHER THAT.

I WILL TURN IT OVER TO CHIEF

ROSA.

>> I'M NOT IN A POSITION TO

ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE

INCIDENT BUT I WANT TO EXTEND

OUR SUBBASE TO THE COMMUNITY, TO

THE LINWAY AND EMPLOYEES AND

ESPECIALLY TO THE VICTIMS AND

THEIR FAMILIES.

THIS IS A VERY TRAGIC INCIDENT.

PRELIMINARY INFORMATION WOULD

TELL US THAT THIS WAS AN

ACCIDENT.

WE ARE VERY GRATEFUL FOR THE

MUTUAL HELP THAT W RECEIVED

FROM MANY COMMUNITIES AROUND US

AND THE GREATER LOWELL AREA.

BEDFORD, TWO TO BURY,

WILMINGTON, WHER

BURLINGTON,

CHELMSFORD, WE WANT TO REACH OUT

TO THOSE COMMODITIES AND THANK

THEM FOR THEIR ASSISTANCE.

THIS IS A LARGE AND CHAOTIC

SCENE

.

A LOT OF BYSTANDERS WERE AROUND

SO THIS IS VERY CHAOTIC.

WE JUST WANT TO THANK THE OTHER

FIRST RESPONDERS WHO ASSISTED US

IN THIS INCIDENT TODAY.

>> [INDISCERNIBLE]

>> THAT WILL ALL BE PART OF THE

INVESTIGATION.

WHO IS THE PERSON WHO HAS

OVERSIGHT?

ALL WORKPLACES ARE CONTROLLED

BY OSHA.

THE SAFETY OF THOSE FOLKS IS

CONTROLLED BY OSHA.

WE PRESENT YOUR PATIENCE AND IF

THERE'S ANYTHING SIGNIFICANT

THAT HAPPENS, WE WILL PROVIDE NO

INFORMATION BUT THIS WILL BE A

FAIRLY LONG, ONGOING

INVESTIGATION.

New Lego Junior Pixar Cars 3 Lightning Mcqueen Speed Launcher 10730 Maters Junkyard 10733 Unboxing - Duration: 14:25.

okay guys today we are going to help

New Lego Junior Pixar Cars 3 Lightning Mcqueen Speed Launcher 10730 Maters Junkyard 10733 Unboxing

all of these folsome dinos are visiting

Jurassic Park today so here is a bunch

of Lego dinos and they are really cool

and you're gonna help me identify each

one of these so if you want you could

take a look at what's here now and then

you could answer the question before I

actually showed you which poster here

and one of these is not a Dino can you

guess which one it is wow this is gonna

be fun

okay super excited today I just got

these these are all Lego juniors from

the new Pixar Cars three movie Wow also

um ah I've been looking for our toys

from cars three I guess they've been out

for a little bit but I just ended up

buying a whole bunch of them so with

this in the next few weeks I'll be

reviewing quite a few of them but

anyways uh you seen these being speed

built they are really awesome ah let's

go ahead and take a look at the packages

first the options and then we'll go and

take a look at the completed product

okay so here it is Pixar Cars three and

it says easy to build so these are

probably going to be more similar to

Mega Bloks it looks like that's all

long-term there and then here we have

mater's junkyard the whole school and

there is all the things you're going to

be building and again it says you do

okay let's open them up okay we're going

to see what is inside the squeeze

launcher first so it looks like one bag

of Legos and a couple extra pieces here

in

instruction guide I wanna see if they

show any other Oh looks like you got

quite a few they go jr. set awesome blah

then have to get all of it

okay I just went on Amazon and bought

almost all of these so uh these look

like they're going to be really cool fun

to make and I love building these for

you guys and with the speed build

I mean it almost makes it seem like the

vehicle comes to life so with the

mater's junkyard you have two bags of

parts and another instruction guide I

want to see if it's showing this same

set yeah it looks like the same set

although these two are not available yet

so must be coming soon okay awesome

let's put these together okay guys now

that you've seen how the set goes

together and stop-motion animation let's

go ahead and check get it take a closer

look at these sets because they are

awesome guys they are Lego jr. so it's

easier for younger kids to put together

and they super fun I mean I really like

these I've put together a lot of LEGO

sets and this is a good quality easy to

build set so far first of all let's take

a look at Lightning McQueen himself so

he's got his 95 there he's got the rusty

slow go on the front 95 on the back

says rusty on his tail and here is a

look at the bottom here is a good look

at the set - so it's really cool it's

got like numbers here red light green

light green light would be go and then

you would launch the vehicle so you got

this back stop here you're going to take

Lightning McQueen put him up here and he

does have real tires too so this set is

cool just for the fact of the car and

then you hit this and it launches is off

book okay so let's try that again even

if you hit it pretty hard it doesn't go

very far so hold the top dog and then

so yes you know it's not that bad didn't

have it attached very good there we go

awesome so ah let's take a look at mater

set also so I think mater set is

actually cooler first of all you've seen

how I put together the mater he is

really cool and I really like the job

they did on him with all the moving

parts and everything it is awesome it

says tow mater here so I guess he's got

his own business the movie has not come

out yet but I guess he has his own

business now ah this is lift all the way

up you could turn the hook around you

could put the hook straight out and then

ah he does have rubber tires he's got

his plastic look he's got mirrors that

moved in and out headlights you could

see his engine right there

like a really rusty bumper and then you

have some cool movable parts on this one

so this one has this crane here that

will turn 360 degrees and it can pick

stuff off here it looks like it picks up

some type of a screen with the Lightning

McQueen on it so pick it up and then it

could go down up turn the hook to turn

around so that's really cool and then

you got a box full of junk parts here

the Mater could like pull off if we need

something like let's say grab this

bumper here and he could carry it on his

hook

this would be like an extra bumper for

another vehicle and then you would have

like an extra engine in here you have a

tow mater sign that says welcome and

then you have this little scale here so

if it is like a junkyard the scale would

be to like weigh like junk metal and

stuff okay and guys you want to have

some fun let's have mater and Lightning

McQueen visit and identify the awesome

Lego dinosaurs that sounds cool okay

mater here we are and Jurassic Park Wow

we're gonna have to have the kids help

us identify these awesome diamonds yeah

like you McQueen that sounds awesome

let's go ahead and get started

you kids ready you're gonna have to help

us identify these dinosaurs oh we've got

a nice big wall in here you guys help us

identify this

this is a new one and this one angles

the female to conquer on blue okay can

you tell me what Dino is a t-rex yeah

we're lucky the dinosaurs agreed not to

eat any question mater and Lightning

McQueen and who is our next guess this

is a big white one she could disguise

herself she could become invisible a

very strong hybrid hunter who is she did

you guess right it's the indominus rex

wow she is a broaches hybrid predator

and who is this one

wow I was on the wrong side of her again

yes you're correct

hairy-looking and who is this

evil-looking Dino wow this one's Brosius

and if you guess what it is correct

philosoraptor and we have another really

big one who man to raise the camera for

this and you get a little kind of Dino

this Wow t-rex hey this next one is

another awesome one but this one is not

a dinosaur

can you see what it is she's got wings

she breathes fire she's red Wow okay did

you guess yes you're correct it's a red

dragon in cheap lies Wow okay mater here

comes our next awesome Dino fly she got

it bitchy can you guys get a Pteranodon

okay guys let's see if you could

identify this next one she is now

herbivore she's not horned a big play

tonight her head you could defend

yourself again her ass off she can

conquer what a shoe

Jess you're correct in the Triceratops

and we have one final Dino for you guys

to identify take a close law oh nothing

back up back up

we were saying oh he doesn't like that

Huber's something and it's ones got the

big claws big ball one leg yes right

it's another Tyrannosaurus Rex we got a

lot of different cool today I like

okay okay and if you guys enjoyed those

card three Lego sets

I'll have a link below this video where

you could actually buy them I am

affiliated with Amazon means I get a

small sales commission if you purchase

through my link it costs you the same so

you're getting an awesome toy and

POISON - Duration: 1:21.

Eyes like ice I froze

Captivated by the beauty Body sculptured by Angels

Face made by God Hair in locks of gold.

We danced slowly Slowly to the music of old

In love I fell Deep in a pit,

With pains of heartbreak and filth.

You were too careless, she said Only mixed signals, you read

Didn't you see the lights were red?

But you still followed the path I led.

You are weak You search for the attractions all week

But the true inner beauty you never seek

As clueless as a prey Ingest more I pray

Till you are taken away by my poison!

New Cenozoic Creatures Jurassic World The Game Ep 203 HD Gameplay Walkthrough - Duration: 26:34.

New Cenozoic Creatures Jurassic World The Game Ep 203 HD Gameplay Walkthrough

the game let's go ahead right after that

I'm going to jump right into battle

because we've got some cool battles to

fight okay first of all we have the

rarity Rumble which the grand prize

would be a super rare rumble pack which

looks cool so you could only use super

rare dinos to win these events so let's

see what we get okay so I'm going to use

a velociraptor and a soprano tightened

this good twos battle on the road

through okay so he's not going to kill

me with one hit so I will pull one into

reserve he attacks too but did not kill

me and if I could take him down at three

I think so this should take him down I

am down he goes awesome

and the other para Sora is angry now he

attacks too but he left himself totally

defenseless

okay so the attack of three will take

him down easily first battles the bang

and down he goes sweet that's awesome

okay fifty DNA let's jump right back

into battle number two for battle number

two I'm going to use this kappa cyka and

a spinal raptor so he's not going to

kill me with one hit so I will put one

in two reserve he attacked one I don't

really care about him attacking I'm

going to put three more in reserve

because I have a powerful carnivore so I

want to get him as much reserve points

as possible so again I will pull four

and two reserve to block and he might

kill me that's the right yep he just

killed me and I was not paying attention

I don't think he had anything left

so attack of - I did three to be on the

safe side block with three and two in

reserve

oh he did have one left so good thing I

went for the safe side okay so this

guy's got four

and he did not do anything and you know

I could kill him with two anyhow even if

he blocks for he's still gonna go down

and down he goes

also final Raptor and the victor

Kermit the Frog fifty DM we got one more

battle to fight and it's three

herbivores okay so I'm going to stay

Gesserit opps

Jagannatha flesh and spinal Reptar and

this battles pretty much over before is

start I think my final Raptor could

probably take all three of the

herbivores so that main thing I'm doing

is building up my reserve right now and

all right guys if you see this Sega

Saratov that Jurassic world actually

sells set the action figure of him I

bought it at Toys R Us and it's really

cool I like it a lot I did a full review

on my main channel on WD toys and so I

was talking I totally did not pay

attention to what he had song they

attack him for and perform reserved okay

he blocked one so he is going down two

more to go up the guys to take it's

their tops but a level 24 so I think

I'll just attack a mate one block three

but he's going down again

I am down you go

7,000 damage okay so this guy's got six

you'll probably wiped me out

if the Tekken 3 took me down before and

reserved I do want to finish up with

much fun rap during that was your last

chance to attack my friend you are going

down hard attack uh-oh

haha I just put all that into reserve ah

ok I feel stupid

sorry bout that this guy kills me I'm

gonna feel really stupid and he might

have just done that nope okay cool so

I'm going to attack eight which I was

going to attack seven rich and Roli BAM

down he goes 21,000 damage victory is

mine and the card pack is mine hmm

so I never had one of these card packs

before so I do not know what to expect

okay okay so that's nice we had a like

2500 DNA some coin and uh spinosaurus i

think that's the first time i want a

spinosaurus or a heart attack

so that's kind of cool oh we're going to

do the back you lights battle but first

of all i want to go and get my food

production going full-bore click on DNA

upgrade go over here and collect I got a

dino here I got to collect which is just

the sangga ripped risk is just a common

one so let me know no biggie there and

then I'm going to go ahead and drop in

my Spinosaurus

which I just won so that guy could hatch

and then I will go collect coins for my

dinos with these revenue towers if you

haven't seen them before you actually

win these in later levels of the game

and with each one you could collect

coins from six to eight dinos so you're

not clicking on every single Dino all

the time and then I'm going to go get my

mystery pack you get a mystery pack

every six hours guys so make sure you

collect that especially at the beginning

okay how I ended up there I have no idea

then I'd like to go over to traders and

see if they have anything good sometimes

you can get some good stuff for coins

that is a crazy trade they want 4000 683

DNA for seven john hammond memorials are

you not i think what they're hoping is

somebody accidentally clicks on that

because that's like the dumbest trade

ever and then i'm not sure if you guys

seen the Cenozoic creatures yet this is

one of them the Andrew circus so this

guy gets mad girls at you

okay so then well I did want to check

the news okay so looks like the only

thing left to do then is be Vettel's and

this one is hard I don't even know if I

have powerful enough dinos to do the

first battle so let's go ahead and check

it out

I mean you got a mess Dantas horas a

meta plus horas in a unanimous okay so

I'm going to start with the dimorphic on

Pterodactylus and at a Nikola Griest

who drew right into the battle awesome

okay so he's not ah I don't think you've

killed me with two but he might uh you

know I think if he attacks - he's gonna

kill me okay ah this guy's gonna kill me

with him really is in attack okay I am

pleasantly surprised

no I I gotta

he's just so powerful I put two in

reserve well I could almost guarantee

you I'm gonna get killed so this guy's

got two oh he attacked one but he didn't

kill me

really oh you know I got to bring in my

Pterodactylus is good way too powerful

so he's got one in left I got attacked

twice to take him down one because he

has one left and I'm going to do one

block I don't want to lose my

Pterodactylus if I could help it because

that miss donkasaurus and will be

powerful too okay so this you nany

rankest he's probably going to take me

to I didn't take me down that

okay no I don't think I could take them

down before but I don't have a choice I

got a tack up I did take them down cool

because my health was way too low but

this guy's going to attack me one up at

you so I'm probably still gonna lose

yep he's got three left and I could

almost guarantee you he's using some of

that for blocking so what I'm going to

do is I'm going to block three and put

one in reserve and hope he doesn't just

he's got five oh he attacks five and he

didn't kill me

awesome down you go my friends Wow I did

not think I was going to win that battle

that was a hard battle guys and I'm sure

it's gonna just get harder okay that was

awesome these aquatic creature card

packs are super hard here we go another

one okay so I'm going to try a dime or

photons they get Sarah Thompson

Pterodactylus but the chances of me

winning this are very slim slim to none

with emphasis being on none nothing you

know I'm gonna block the first time

because I don't trust this guy I think

you can attack - oh wow this guy could

still kill me with one

okay he did it well that's cool so I'll

bring him it's tickets there tops and

put one into reserve is guys go one he

attacked one well he is at this point he

is defenseless but big lot I know I can

take him down to three okay let's get

rid of this okay

BAM down it goes

this guy's been attacked Lee probably

too young via tech - BAM down I go I'm

gonna have to bring in my Pterodactylus

thing is is this guy blocking or is he

bluffing okay he was not blocking high

tech three and down he goes me so he was

definitely bluffing so this guy's got

attacked me at least - but that will

leave him with four left and he is so

powerful even again herbivore and my

health is way down - now I'm gonna block

for and hope for the best

oh he is blocking three so he could only

attack one yep be blocked for he

attacked for a block door also so he's

got one left and this battle is over

sweetie I did not think I was going to

win that one either awesome things are

going good today

- super hard battles in the bag one more

and the thing is I'm sort of scared to

see what it is

okay so I'm going to try a Pterodactylus

nin daga Soros and a mess Dantas horas

blah it's going to be super tough guys I

mean if I could take out the octopus

horas early would be a lot easier I'm

going to put one in reserve because none

of these guys is going to kill me with

one hit okay so this point bring in my

new dagger Soros and put two in reserve

I want to build up my reserve even

though one of these guys is probably

gonna kill me probably this guy up he

attacked one okay so it means he's got

one left

my Pterodactylus might actually yeah I

should pay to take him down so one two

to take him down one more because he's

got one left and put one in reserve and

Donny goes three that's what I wanted to

do get to a stupa source out of the way

and then they have no more class

advantage I mean I got all the classic

vintage okay he attacked three awesome

so he's defenseless at this point

so you know I'm just gonna take them

down because this guy's health is really

low so attack a 4-1 in reserve and Down

Goes the friar Troodon

things are looking good guys as she bid

to win this battle which three super

hard battles was there actually the

hardest battles I've ever fought okay

sue I really wasn't paying attention I

think at most he's got two left so he go

down if he's blocked one and he goes

down hard BAM down you go my friend

because the Souris is celebrating

sweetie and I actually won the backi

light card pack I did not think I was

going to thousand DNA and the super rare

Bekele although that that's a pretty

lame prize for how hard those battles

were I mean that's actually a really

lame prize for how hard they were ok Bob

I'm gonna go ahead and catch this guy

and then I believe my friends is it for

today I mean I could go visit the

velociraptors but I don't really feel

like visiting the velociraptors I mean I

don't I don't win a lot of good things

as you can see here I got a lot of

buildings here just sitting because a

lot of the earlier missions require you

to collect coins from buildings so it

would be nice to sell them all and open

up some land but I'm sort of scared to

do that because as soon as I sell it off

then they're going to have some stupid

mission where you got to do that and

then I'm still trying to get through

this mission having 30 carnivores at

level 35 or higher

hopefully I be able to do that soon

get up to level 75 okay guys well thanks

Park and Diamond Win 100k in First E-Fest Competition for Bike Helmet that Fits in Water Bottle - Duration: 8:09.

(inspiring music)

- [Interviewer] What would it mean to you to win?

- Whew

Okay, alright, to win would be

not to sound over dramatic,

but it would certainly be life-changing.

Not only the resources that would come with this

and the contacts that would come with it,

but the encouragement of knowing

that you're, that they think that you're the best team.

That encouragement for just a little startup

would be unprecedented,

it would be invaluable for us.

(inspiring music)

- [Interviewer] How are you feeling this morning?

- Pretty good, I think we're prepared.

We just went upstairs and practiced.

- So the feeling before I pitch competition,

that's a scary one.

It's, you know, you get the butterflies in your stomach.

- As soon as you get rolling, that's when it all just,

the practice comes into play, and you got it down.

It just comes down to, what do you have to lose?

- Entrepreneurship is close to my heart.

One of the biggest challenges in our country today

are the failure of too many of our upstanding

and hardworking young people.

Even though they've got wonderful ideas

about where they can go and what they can be.

This is just one way in which we can reach out

and see if we can't get more and more people

to share their ideas.

And give them rewards for the success

of being able to bring those to venture

and then onto a real business.

- You know, coming into these events,

you don't tell yourself that you expect to win.

But afterwards you realize that you expected to win.

- Yes, comments are ugly.

Yes, they're uncomfortable.

And yes they're a pain to carry around with me

everywhere I go.

But how do you know your product works?

How do you know this is safe?

And the answer...

- So the background behind Park & Diamond

was that now over, a little over a year ago,

my sister was involved in a hit and run.

(emotional music)

She was actually in a coma for four months.

She was riding her bike through the intersection

of Park and Diamond.

So there was a while where we were just, my family,

we were just relegated to stand on the sidelines

and hope for the best.

And that's where we really needed something

to actually occupy ourselves.

We really needed something to pull ourselves away from it.

And that's where having this idea of we can do something,

we can change something, really helped us,

on a personal level, really helped us

cope with this tragedy.

(emotional music)

- So, we kind of went through and looked at

how do we improve cycling safety?

And, you know, thank God in this situation for Dave,

his sister has made a full recovery.

We didn't really want anybody else to have to go through

the experience that his family went through.

So, first thing, I'm an Engineering Science Mechanics major,

which focuses a lot on computer modeling

of material behavior and fundamental mechanics.

And David is a Mechanical Engineer,

which focuses a lot on product design and manufacturing.

And when we looked at the statistics,

one thing really rung out.

In 97 percent of cycling fatalities,

the rider was not wearing a helmet.

So we saw this as an easy opportunity

to improve cycling safety so we decided

we were gonna start with the helmet

and redefine the user experience.

- As you can see, David is taking our product

out of the water bottle, which shows exactly how portable

it is and easy it is to assimilate to day-to-day life.

And not only are we introducing a paradigm shift

in portability, we are also redefining aesthetics.

Our product is so thin that at five feet

it is nearly indistinguishable from

normal headwear...

- So the pitch competition is,

while they are not the end-all be-all

for putting together a business plan,

they are crucial for forcing you to go through the motions.

And they really require you to think about

where you're making progress and where you're

not making progress.

So this one has been a really cool experience.

I mean, the level of professionalism that everybody

acts with here, even though we are competing against

each other, everybody is trying to help out.

Because at the end of the day,

we are all fighting the same struggle,

which is we're trying to bring a business

into the world as students.

And so what I've found is the people

that have been successful at these events

are the ones that are willing to just

absorb what's going on.

It's kind of like a super-excelerated course, right?

We learn so much in just a span of, you know,

in this case 72 hours.

- So trying to break through into the marketplace

is much more difficult today.

You know, than it was 15 or 20 years ago.

What each one of the 25 were doing

was extremely encouraging to me.

That we have so many young people from so many places

in the country, you know, that honestly have identified

areas of opportunity and have already gone after

ways in which they can make a difference someplace.

I'm just genuinely impressed.

- [Interviewer] How are you, how are you feeling right now?

- Everybody's a little...

- Okay, so we will call out the third, second and first.

Third place winner $25,000...

is Yellow Card.

(applause)

Alright, second place, from Northeastern...

Eat Your Coffee.

(applause)

Alright, here we go.

First place, Park & Diamond.

(applause)

(inspiring music)

- [Jordan] I think it's gonna be crazy to see

something that was on a chalkboard become an actual product.

Probably never would have thought that I would have

started a company if you asked me five years ago.

- Knowing that the work I put into this company

and the work that my partner Jordan and I put into this

can amount to something real,

can amount to getting actual impact that can change lives,

is something that when it's four in the morning

and we're driving home from the office

for a eight am class, that gets us up

in the morning for that class.

So the feeling of actually seeing somebody

use the helmet and knowing we helped,

knowing firsthand how bad it could have been,

that's something that would make all of this worthwhile

because we made that difference.
