hey guys, welcome back for another episode of the Ducati scrambler project.
finally it's time to get to the good stuff and when I say good stuff, I mean
protection and accessories, so we're gonna start modifying the bike and
making it my own. in this episode we gonna install from Evotech a front
slider, still from Evotech a rear slider slash spool and still from Evotech
we're gonna put a front caliper protection. We are going to remove those
ugly stickers from the frame and we're gonna relocate them, I do want to keep
them on the bike cause they give you some pretty good information and the
Ducati frame is a beautiful frame and I wanted to be showing so... and last but not
least we're going to put on a tank protector, now enough with the chitchat let's get on it.
since I haven't lift up the bike yet on my bike lift I figured the first
thing to go in should be the tank protector so let's put the tank
protector where it belongs, which is about this, this is gonna be the easiest
installation of them all cause you just have pretty much to cover the existing
black stripe, so very simple and amazingly enough even if it's that
simple this is the booklet that Ducati send you to do the installation it's
like 20 pages worth of book. Okay first thing to do is to remove the seat to
give us some more room and then clean the area, seat is out of the way and
time to get cleaning
put him on
here we go and let's see if we can work out some of those air bubbles, step one
complete. Next up I'm going to remove those ugly stickers over here from the
frame. I'm gonna try to peel it off from the frame and put it under the seat so
they're still on the bike they're still accessible but they're not ruining the
way that the frame looks, one down five more to go.
all the stickers have
successfully been relocated under the seat we have all the informations we used
to have on the frame right here but the bike itself look one million time
better looks 1 million time cleaner and that's what I was going for so right on
let's move on. this is gonna be another easy mod but very effective, those
sliders in the back will have two functions first slide in case of low
side and you can also use them as paddocks pools to lift up the bike they
look really really neat so and the installation is really easy we're gonna
remove one of those ten millimeter nuts and slide it through the axle and tie it
back down on the other side so let's get on it.
not only it's very useful but it also looks incredibly good. time to do the
same exact thing to the front wheel with those Evotech sliders, so when it comes
to the front wheel, the nut we have to deal with is a 13 millimeter, also known
as half inch, and... the... this time around because the spacers are different they
actually go in a specific way, on the side with the nut
over here, you actually have to use the concave side of the slider while on the
other side you can use the spacer that protrudes further into the axle, just
like the rear side the front side looks really really good, last and a little bit
more labor-intensive is the caliper protection, this one over here, now I'm
gonna have to remove those two bolts over here, put this in and put the bolts
back on, the thing is, this is a safety component so it needs to be properly
torqued, now they the torque value is 45 Nm or 33 foot pound of torque
because this is a safety component Ducati says that the torque specs need
to be within 5%Nm so we're gonna try to put it exactly at the
specified torque, so I'm gonna hold it in place with one hand and remove the bolts
with the other, or not, and then I'm gonna slide in the bracket
and put the bolts where they belong so the one I removed from the bottom side
is going to go back to the bottom side, the one that I removed from the top side
is going to go back to the top side. and we are there 33 foot pound and that's it
the caliper protection is on and it looks grand so another episode is
complete, the scrambler is one step closer to be all it can be, since I have
one spare caliper protector and I have only one caliper, this caliper protector
from Evotech is gonna go to one of you guys, so leave a comment down below
in one month from the date of the video came out I'm gonna pick one of you and
