North Korea has blown up 4 'test sites': Trump - Duration: 1:50.

U.S. President Donald Trump says North Korea has already started its full-scale denuclearization.

He said Thursday that Pyongyang is following through on the declaration made at the summit

last week in Singapore, pointing to the remains of American soldiers who died in the Korean

War that the North has apparently handed over already.

Kan Hyeong-woo has more.

During a cabinet meeting on Thursday, President Trump said North Korea has already entered

the process of denuclearization… specifically citing that Pyongyang is destroying its missile

test sites.

"They are destroying their engine site.

They're blowing it up.

They've already blown up one of their big test sites.

In fact, it was actually four of their big test sites.

And the big thing is it will be a total denuclearization, which is already starting taken place."

However, he did not clarify that these "blown up" facilities include the Punggye-ri nuclear

test site that North Korea already destroyed back in May.

Having said the remains of 200 fallen U.S. soldiers had been sent back from North Korea

the day before, Trump made it clear the process is ongoing.

"That they've already sent back or are in the process of sending back the remains of

our great heroes who died in North Korea during the war.

And that's already in the process of coming back."

He added that the relationship with North Korea is (quote unquote) "very good" and that

he and Kim Jong-un are going to create a brighter future for North Korea.

According to State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert on Thursday, U.S. Secretary

of State Mike Pompeo will meet with North Korean officials at the earliest date possible

to implement the outcomes of the North Korea - U.S. summit.

But she said there were no meetings or travel plans to be announced at the current time.

Felicia Iskandar - Produk Investasi yang Tepat untuk Milenial | BukaTalks - Duration: 12:28.

Thank you for the time and opportunity given (to me to talk). I'm here to represent Mr. Angga who couldn't come (to this event) this evening.

So continuing the topic (discussion) that had been explained by Mr. Angkar about investation products,

So which infestation suits for millenial's digital era and as we know that (which has been explained as well) millennial generation is very efficient,

They always seek for an easy access and of course as Mr. Angkar had mentioned about Paper Asset.

So what is paper asset?

One of examples of (paper asset) is infestation product in a context of Mutual Fund (Reksadana)

So PT. Ashmore itself (as has been mentioned), we are a management infestation company,

So we launch products which are considered in Mutual Fund Category,

And maybe you have some questions in your mind (about Mutual Fund)

Basically, Mutual Fund is an infestation product which contains capital market assets; it is stock, debentures, or money market.

So we have 3 categories as mentioned.

If you think that Mutual Fund is risky in terms of stock and fix income, we provide convenience for you.

So we will explain what can we offer at this point of time.

Beforehand (let's discuss) on why Mutual Fund, and why we need to invest?

As you can see on the chart which is a bit technical,

That infestation is important because there are 2 things (that need to be highlighted),

The first one on the left, is the weakness of our national currency (Rupiah) which has been for over 10 years weakened by 3,7%,

Then (secondly) we have investment worst enemy (so that you are suggested to invest, not just put money in a bank) is inflation.

Our inflation is on the level of 5% for the past 10 years.

So if we can pick an example from Deposito (Bank Interest) with 7,2% interest, deducted by 5% inflation, it is resulting 2,2% only.

So we need to invest in either Debentures Market or in Stock which is Equity that can give return for 8,2% for the past 10 years.

And to invest in, we provide a Mutual Fund feature which we think is very easy, and here are the reason why (you need to invest with an easy access)

First, it's Diversification. Maybe if you are thinking to invest in property, etc., Mutual fund is one of investment diversification which is very accessible.

Besides, the minimum investment amount is very cheap, it starts from Rp. 100.000,--> to Rp. 200.000,--> only.

So if you earn 5 million rupiah a month, deducted by living cost for 3 million rupiah, then you can spend either 1 million rupiah or five hundred thousand rupiah in Mutual Fund.

And nowadays, there are many platforms and applications including BukaReksa which provide access to purchase it online with a very small amount (to invest in), even starts from Rp. 10.000,-->

So it is easy (to access), small amount (of investment), and if one of you just asked, (how) if we need an emergency fund?

We think that Mutual Fund can be one of the (funding) alternatives because it is a very liquid investment

(let's say) you purchase it today, then you want to resell it after 2 or 3 days because you need an emergency fund, you can do it within days period.

It is not like when you invest in gold or property which we all know that it is not that easy to resell because of its limited investment liquidity

But for Mutual Fund, it is always ready and available.

Then move to (next reason) Attractive Return, this can be one of alternatives because it offers a very promising return.

Ashmore, we are a very excellent infestation management (company), we established in 2011, and so far we have 2 excellent products, the first one is Mutual Fund on stock basis, then Mututal Fund on Debentures basis

The one that is on stock basis contains of 2 types, first one is focusing on blue chip stock which is within big companies with big market liquidity, for example BCA Bank, Mandiri Bank, Unilever, which we put into Ashmore Dana Equitas Nusantara.

The investment return is very promising, which is 57% in 5 years, so we can say that we perform very positive within 5 years, then the rest is our competitors, which shows that we offer better return than them.

Then there is another type of stock Mutual fund that can be one the investment alternatives, it is called Ashmore Dana Progresif Nusantara,

In this (feature) it is focusing on stock which is more dynamic,

For examples are stock from property sectors, contractors, then media.

So it has a better (investment) return which is 68% in 5 years.

And there is another one, for you who are not a high risk taker, we have a Fix Income Mutual Fund called Ashmore Dana Obligasi Nusantara,

Which is focusing on (investment) in debentures. Government or National Debentures is an underline instrument of this Mutual Fund.

And we believe that the (investment) return is still good, which is 33% in 5 years, comparing to Bank Interest which has 5% interest rate per year, times 5 years, it is resulting 25% return only exclude tax.

So these are all final (calculation), it's so affordable with only Rp. 100.000,--> to Rp. 200.000,-->, you can already invest, and you can do it periodically in online channels and retail selling agent banks.

So how do we enter the infestation and what kind of method used? Because when you hear an infestation, you hear a risk which is fearful.

I agree with what Mr. Angkar has explained, when you to do some investment especially in stock, firstly think of long term (investment), secondly (think of) that it is not a trading.

So it is about finding a moment, let say today the market is in correction condition, it is an opportunity to enter (the investment) and hold it for a long term run.

So you can spend your earning for let say Rp. 1.500.000,--> every month then you hold it for 1 year, then you will earn let say Rp. 2.000.000,--> profit (after a year) that u can use for let say travelling, but then you keep your Rp. 10.000.000,--> to then put it again on investment.

So this is can be an opportunity for periodic averaging strategy and we think that trading requires no expertise,

So that Manager Investment in our Mutual Fund products are highly experienced which is more suitable then when you invest in single stocks.

So when to enter? As I have mentioned, Market Timing, Regular Investing or Lump Sum,

These (3) types is for your consideration in terms of entering (the market), either you want to enter it straight, or you want enter it gradually, or if you want to put a big amount of investment at a time.

We'd like to give you a perspective that at the end of the day, people who get most profit are the ones who put their investment gradually.

Why? because to (predict) market timing is very difficult.

Even if when we see a market with correction of 5% and we see it attractive in valuation, it may be down tomorrow, and down deeper the next week ,

So we will never know when will be the right time, so as we can suggest that you better put your investment on regular investing or periodic auto investing,

Which a fix amount will be deducted from your account every month (for investment)

Then when we talk about digital era, we can see that all millennial generation have already done (the investment)

What are the things that you need to pay attention on?

So as we already know that we need to do regular investing, Mutual Fund is good (for investment), its diversification,

But what can we consider as one of the main factors in making decisions?

You need to know (or read) about macro-->economic condition and global economic condition.

You don't need to know it deeply (as it is already done infestation managers) but at least you need to know such conditions, the amount of minimum return that you expect,

So you will have a basic prospect for your investment return. We can use a simple formula which is Inflation added by growth resulting into P-->growth which is PDB growth.

So if the inflation growth is 3,5% plus GDP growth 4,5%, I know this sound a bit boring, as it is a very technical explanation,

But we need to know it in order to calculate our minimum investment return.

And this can be seen from the economic condition. We need to see what does macro-->economic look like which we refers to,

Profit growth from emiten (companies who offer their mutual fund), macro condition such as products selling figures, etc.,

So you need to get used to read (newspaper) even just the headline so that we will have projection of what our (country) economic condition be like (better or worse).

So that is it from Ashmore.

Red Cross Talks ongoing: two Koreas exchange draft agreement - Duration: 2:39.

Delegations from the the respective Red Cross organizations of two Koreas are meeting once

again today.

Top of the agenda is arranging reunions of separated families,... but other humanitarian

issues could be discussed as well.

Let's connect to our Unification Ministry correspondent, Oh Jung-hee,... who's following

developments from Seoul's Office for Inter-Korean Dialogue.

Jung-hee, so it's been hours since the talks began.

How are things going?

Good afternoon, Devin.

South and North Korea started their high-level talks at 10 AM sharp.

And by 1 in the afternoon, they were done with the general meeting as well as the first

round of talks between the leading delegates.

The two sides exchanged a draft agreement of today's talks at 1:30.

They had lunch from 2 to 3... and are expected to have begun another round of talks between

the leading delegates.

The main talking point of the day is holding reunions of families separated by the Korean

War.

It's something the leaders of the two Koreas agreed to do at their summit talks in April

-- to hold the reunions on National Liberation Day, August 15th.

Seoul and Pyongyang are discussing when and how to hold the reunion event,... how many

participants they'd have,... and whether the related facilities need to be renovated.

The two sides are very eager to resolve humanitarian issues -- especially, easing the sorrow of

families separated by the Korean War.

And it seems the place where they're meeting -- Mount Kumgang, where numerous family reunion

events have taken place in the past -- gave them an extra special feeling and a strong

sense of responsibility to make sure these talks are a success.

Take a look at what each delegation had to say at the opening of today's talks:

"Even if today's talks are only a day long,... if we approach them with sincerity, I believe

we can discuss a lot of things.

We should seize the vital force from Mount Kumgang and resolve the agony of the Korean

people."

"As for Mount Kumgang, it's a symbol of national harmony and unity -- it's the only place that

has provided healing for our separated people.

If we aim to firmly break with our disgraceful past and develop a new mindset, I believe

we can have smooth humanitarian cooperation between the North and the South."

If the reunion event does take place, it'll be the first one in three years -- since October

2015.

More than 132-thousand South Koreas are registered as separated from family in the North,...

but among them, only 56-thousand are still alive... and among those, 85-percent are over

70 years old.

Russia plays key role in establishing peace and prosperity in region: President Moon - Duration: 2:25.

President Moon addressed the Russian Parliament on Thursday, the first for a South Korean

President.

In his speech, he said cooperation with Russia is the key for peace on the Korean Peninsula...

as well as future economic opportunities in the Eurasian region.

Our Blue House correspondent Hwang Hojun brings us this report.

When it comes to establishing peace and seeking mutual prosperity, South Korean President

Moon Jae-in stressed how imperative Russia's role is in the region.

"Regarding Korea-Russia cooperation as the cornerstone of peace on the Korean Peninsula

and of prosperity in Northeast Asia, I have made wholehearted efforts thus far."

President Moon said the bilateral relationship between Seoul and Moscow is the key to open

the gates of Eurasia,... which the South Korean leader called a land of great opportunity.

"I believe our friendship will open wide the boundless possibilities of Eurasia."

The comments were made as President Moon made history,... delivering a speech at the State

Duma, the lower house of Russia's Federal Assembly on Thursday,... becoming the first

South Korean President ever to do so.

During the speech, President Moon noted his Russian counterpart's vision of an era of

peace and co-prosperity among Eurasian nations,... or the 'New East Policy' is in sync with his

own 'New Northern Policy',... the Moon administration's key diplomatic policy to expand South Korea's

diplomatic and economic horizons with its Eurasian neighbors.

According to President Moon, such efforts would see the two countries developing new

growth engines while Seoul keeps its promise to develop Russia's Far East.

President Moon said the Korean people's desire for peace and prosperity is not limited to

the Korean Peninsula but involves all of Northeast Asia.

And with that, President Moon introduced his vision for a trilateral partnership between

Seoul, Pyongyang, and Moscow.

"Once a peace regime is established on the Korean Peninsula, inter-Korean economic cooperation

will be accelerated and expanded into three-way cooperation with Russia.

President Moon identified railroads, natural gas, and electricity networks as the most

promising sectors for cooperation among the three countries.

Present conditions and history of inter-Korean family reunions - Duration: 2:16.

So if things go well today at the Red Cross Talks... separated families from the two Koreas

will be given a chance to see each other on August 15th,... as agreed back in April in

the Panmunjom Declaration.

Kim Mok-yeon reports.

The history of separated families on the Korean peninsula stretches back to the Korean War

in the 1950s.

Millions of people were separated from their loved ones, with many not even having a chance

to say a proper goodbye.

But with the efforts of the Red Cross from both sides, the first historic reunion was

realized in 1985 when Seoul and Pyongyang held performances on the sidelines of the

40th Independence Day celebration, allowing some 30 citizens from each country to meet

their war-torn families.

And 15 years later in 2000, state-run reunion events and exchanges between families officially

kicked off, after the two Koreas agreed to cooperate on humanitarian issues at the June

15 inter-Korean summit.

The first historic reunion was held on August 15 that year, and was followed by another

19 face-to-face reunion events over the next 15 years, allowing nearly 20 thousand members

of some 4,100 families to see each other again.

Aside from face-to-face meetings, other types of exchanges such as seven video reunions

and 600 letter exchanges have also been made.

However, since 2015, such reunion activities have stalled…and South Korea has been calling

for an urgent revival of the reunion events since last year,... as there may not be much

time left for some of these families.

As of the end of May, almost 57 percent of the estimated 130 thousand family members

on the waiting list for reunions have died, with more than 85 percent of the remaining

survivors aged above 70 years old.

The North, meanwhile, had been demanding the repatriation of 12 female North Koreans, who

worked at a restaurant in China and came to the South in 2016, as a condition for the

resumption of the event.

But with the thawing of relations between the two sides lately, and with President Moon

Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un agreeing on the Panmunjom Declaration, there
