10 The Walking Dead Easter Eggs That You Might Have Missed! - Duration: 5:40.

The crews behind the TV-show The Walking Dead are some of the biggest fans of horror and

Sci-Fi films out there.

Not to mention, most of them have worked on iconic horror films that have been released

over the last 30 years.

Lead by makeup special effects guru, Greg Nicotero, they have created props and makeups

for over 100 Hollywood films.

Throughout the show Nicotero has hidden numerous Easter Eggs referencing his favorite horror

films and more.

Remember to like our video to let us know, if we reveal any Easter Eggs from films that

you love.

Here is Screen Rant's list of ten Awesome Easter Eggs Hidden In The Walking Dead.

Swamp Thing

Wes Craven's 1982 film Swamp Thing is based off a comic book created by Len Wein and Bernie

Wrightson.

Executive producer, Greg Nicotero is a fan of Wrightson's and wanted to pay tribute

to him ever since season one but never found the opportunity.

In season six he got his chance when Daryl is attacked by a zombie.

Nicotero did the makeup himself on this one so he could base the design off DC's Swamp

Thing.

He's not the prettiest zombie but he is cool!

Death Star Library

Academy award winning special effects genius Joe Viskocil has worked on such films as Independence

Day, Terminator 2: Judgement Day and even alongside Nicotero in Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw

Massacre III.

He is also responsible for the explosion of the Death Star in Star Wars – A New Hope.

After his death Nicotero wanted to pay tribute to his friend and made a library called Viskocil

Public Library.

It's a sweet sentiment from a show with a lot of death, we just wished it exploded

like the Death Star for fun.

The Show's Titles

As each season passes the walkers become more and more decayed, showing the audience that

time has passed.

Another way the show does this is with the opening title card for the show.

Each season the title becomes a little more decayed, with added blood and grunge.

It's a nice reminder of how the world has gone to hell and there seems to be no turning

back.

If the show runs for another twenty years, there may be no letters left.

X- Files Cigarettes

In season five as Daryl and Carol go searching for Beth in Atlanta, they stumble upon an

abandoned building.

While they go through the building looking for supplies they find a carton of cigarettes

with a familiar brand name.

The carton is named after the fictional brand of cigarettes "Morley," that The Smoking Man

from the sci-fi series The X-Files smoked.

Are the worlds of X-Files and The Waking Dead one or is this just homage to the 1990's

show?

Save the Turtles

Laugh out loud moments are not what The Walking Dead is known for.

We may get a chuckle here and there but that is about it, when it comes to comedy.

So when Eastman is training Morgan with a staff, it is surprising to see that Eastman

wore a t-shirt that said, "Save Terrapins."

Then right above those words is a picture of the turtle animal.

This is only funny because two episodes earlier Enid had eaten a turtle as a snack.

Dare we say, this joke could leave a bad taste in audience's mouths?

General Custer's Last Flight

General Custer is famous for his last stand at the Battle of Little Bighorn, where he

lost his life fighting against Native Americans.

In the first episode of The Walking Dead, Rick woke up in a hospital to a zombie-apocalyptic

world.

When he walked out of the hospital he found a military helicopter with the insignia of

the 7th Cavalry on it.

This is referencing Custer's 7th Cavalry that was slaughtered with him on that memorable

day.

An Easter Egg reminder that history repeats itself.

"Creepshow" Crate

With the premiere of season five, the survivors have to escape from Terminus to survive.

As they fight their way out they pass by a crate that has the writing, "Ship to Horlicks

University via Julia Carpenter" on it.

This is a reference to Steven King's short novel that was made into a segment for Creepshow.

Since executive producer Greg Nicotero owns one of the three original crate props made

for Creepshow, he added this reference.

Luckily his cast never opened the crate!

Biblical Verses

When we first see Father Gabriel being saved on a rock we are surprised to find out he's

a man of the cloth.

Not to mention, how clean his collar looks.

When Rick makes his way into Father Gabriel's church we see a list of scriptures on the

wall.

Romans 6:4, Ezekiel 37:7 and more; what these all have in common is they all reference life

after death or eluding death.

Very appropriate for a world that has the dead coming back to life.

Ben Gardner from Jaws

The Governor was one of those characters that you love to hate, but there is no denying

that there was something wrong with him.

Not only did he keep his zombie daughter around, he also kept the fish tanks filled with zombie

heads.

So how did Ben Gardner from Jaws arrive there?

Last time we saw his head it was on the bottom of the ocean after failing to kill the infamous

shark.

The crew states it was just another prop of one of their favorite films.

Aged Johnny Depp

Here's another head for you.

The Hilltop group and Rick's team needed to find a head that looked like Gregory to

trick the Saviours and infiltrate their base.

They lined up a group of heads on the floor and as they look them over we see one that

is made up to look like an older Johnny Depp.

Greg Nicotero had a cast of Depp from a previous film and decided to use it again.

Ironically the head that was used is from a cast of Nicotero's head; maybe he's

hoping he looks like Depp.

s up, bro.

His story about reinvesting... that dog!

He just wanted more money to leave with Marina!

Though it wasn't like

he should've gotten killed by Iron Man.

The same way we're going to end up but by Prince?

Are you thinking we shouldn't help Devil?

It's too risky.

Look,

if Prince finds out Cardona's not who he says he is,

we will pay.

In the end, no matter who falls, we both go to prison.

Yeah, but if we don't help we'll end up in prison,

but with a longer sentence.

Mocho, we have 10 seconds to make up our minds.

Hey!

Good news.

Prince has another 250 to sell.

That's good!

Yes, very.

What? You don't want to stay?

What? Of course we do!

It's just that they almost caught us the other day.

What do you mean?

Who?

The police.

In the raid they had in Queens. They took a few.

Yeah, I heard about it.

How did you get away?

we've got paid protection.

What kind of protection?

Mocho and Roco are willing to help.

That's great news.

Great!

Of course.

Mocho, Ronco, Prince and Pirate.

The best company.

As you can see, he's very worried.

How could I not be?

Horacio, I understand and, as a detective,

I'm not comfortable either.

I'm doing it because there's no other way.

Mocho and Ronco will talk to Pirate

and they'll let us know once they have information.

We have to move quickly.

We need for you to meet with Prince in the following days.

My friend told me that there will be two raids in a few days.

-On the same day? -Yes, here's the information.

The problem is that I don't know when we'll hear about Prince.

Or if we will at all. We trust your instinct.

If he's worried about his distributors,

then he'll be interested in talking to you

as soon as possible.

Is that the information that will help Prince's distributors,

but after the information he gave us we're convinced.

If it hadn't been for that cop, we'd be in jail right now,

just like the ones who went down.

How did you meet him?

At a bar while we were selling.

He saw us and he proposed the deal.

The police are after him because he broke out of prison.

He wants to do anything to make easy money.

What's his name?

Cardona.

I think it's Jimmy. Jimmy Cardona.

-Yes! -Why?

Prince may find the information useful.

Pirate!

Working with Prince are big words.

I don't know if wants to go that deep.

If the police are after him, and he's broke,

that would be the best thing that could happen to him.

He'd have serious money.

I'm guessing you have a way to contact him.

Well...

we haven't seen him since,

but he said to look for him at that same bar.

Yes, that's what he said.

I'll mention it to Prince.

I wouldn't feel comfortable taking him to meet Prince.

It's just that we don't know him enough,

and we don't want problems with the boss.

What if Cardona's not useful?

Clam down.

If Prince is interested then he knows what he's doing.

Later.

Don't get lost.

We'll be here.

Bro, that was easy.

That was Pirate.

Prince might not be so easy to convince.

We have to be careful.

Just as I thought.

Martin Acero is responsible for Alan Peterson's death.

Really?

Yes.

The ballistics report showed the same results

as that of Mauricio's death.

The gun was not common, so it's not like that it was two people.

That proves that Jimmy's not guilty,

because he wouldn't have a reason to kill Peterson.

That's great news.

How did you link both cases?

Thanks to Andres.

Andres is my new assistant.

By the way, he's been promoted to Jr. Lawyer because of this.

Once this is over, I'll have the charges removed.

You'll get a medal for catching Prince instead.

There was no computer among the evidence that was found

together with Cristian.

That's impossible.

Cristian always kept his computer with him.

Not that day.

Well, where did he make the recording?

If it was video it had to have been a computer.

He wouldn't carry a camera everywhere.

Martin must've gotten rid of it after he killed him...

or Carmelo, who must've taken care of everything.

They must've destroyed it,

especially if there was information in there.

Yes.

Just as the package he was going to send by mail.

and he carried a laptop with him.

Are you sure it was that same night?

Completely sure.

It could be coinrything fits.

Pup told Suzy and Sandro

that Leon and Carmelo are allied against Martin.

That alliance surely has to do with money.

And Cristian was the one who managed the financials.

His computer must have had important information

that they needed.

Manuela, Cristian had everything on that er.

He had all the information, company and merger documents.

Carmelo took the computer to his office to go over the files.

But didn't Martin make sure that information was destroyed?

Martin has complete trust in his assistant.

He witnessed and participated in all his shady businesses.

But Martin doesn't know that he's going to betray him.

He probably trusted him and he gave him the computer.

So we know where to find him.

We have to get into the warehouse again.

Let's do that tomorrow.

If we find Cristian's video

we wouldn't have to infiltrate Prince's organization.

That would be the best news we could get.

Don't forget that you have to paint in public tomorrow.

I haven't forgotten, but we can do that at night.

You can count on it.

I was thinking that I could find a better way

to protect you from the police.

How, Pirate?

The only way would be if you join the police

to get information.

It'd be something like that.

Are you drunk? What's wrong with you?

We have to focus on the cargo that will get here in five days.

It's huge.

We'll take care of the raids later.

Mocho and Ronco got out of the raid in Queens three days ago.

There's a guy that's warning them.

Who?

An ex officer that escaped from jail.

He's hiding and he needs money,

so he's using his contacts to get information.

That sounds too good to be true.

Those idiots made that up.

No, they weren't going to tell me anything.

-I just happened to find out. -How did they meet?

He went up to them because he saw them selling goods.

Are they stupid?

How could they let themselves get caught?

Fortunately, it was a corrupt cop.

Maybe the guy has more important information than the raids.

Maybe his contacts can get information on the police

to get cargo.

That would help you a lot.

Especially with the cargo that's about to get here.

Tell those idiots to come see me.

Yes, Prince.

You don't have to prove anything to anyone.

Yes, I do.

Robledo wanted to annoy you and you fell for it

as if you in a high school fight.

He's capable of writing an article,

saying that you painted my paintings, just to harm you.

Let him say whatever he wants.

People already know me and they know what I do.

Everyone wants to be a critic.

I know.

If they were criticizing my technique or style,

I'd accept it.

But I won't let them ruin your reputation.

Besides, I'm doing this to show people that you were a genius

because you discovered Salvador's talent.

We Can Now Predict Weather On Alien Worlds - Duration: 4:01.

Today's forecast: Sunny, with clouds rolling in overnight, highs of 3300 degrees and a

chance of….

silicate downpours??

Hi there fellow alien folk, Trace here for DNews.

Obviously, we're not talking about Earth with that forecast.

Instead, this is a possible weather forecast for distant "hot Jupiter" exoplanets,

according to new observations by NASA's Kepler space telescope: we know the weather

on other planets!

"Hot Jupiters" are one of the most commonly found types of exoplanet.

Like Jupiter, they're these massive gas giants, but they orbit crazy close to their stars

-- making them, HOT.

Like really, REALLY hot.

As in as hot as a blow torch, hot.

Because they are so close to their stars, hot-Jupiters can orbit in less than 10 days.

This means they become "tidally locked" with their stars -- one hemisphere is always

facing the star in daylight, while the opposite is in constant night.

We know this, because of Kepler.

Not Johannes, the telescope named after him.

Kepler was launched in 2009 and is an an ace exoplanet hunter (even though it broke in

2013 and couldn't move at all, but that's another story).

When a planet passes in front of a star, it blocks a tiny amount of starlight, and the

space telescope measures the amount and timing of that dimming and can then extrapolate the

size and orbital period of the passing planet -- this is called a "transit."

We have whole videos about it.

But, Kepler doesn't only detect the dimming starlight of exoplanets; it can also detect

the light reflecting off exoplanets and see the glow of their heated atmospheres!

This adds a whole new dimension to the study of these extrasolar planets!

Now we can get to know their weather.

In a new study published recently in The Astrophysical Journal, astronomers were able to measure

the amount of light being reflected from these hot-Jupiters as they orbit their stars.

Using the glow of the heated atmosphere, the paper details how many clouds there are, what

chemicals those clouds are made of, AND even where those clouds appear in the sky!

Depending on the chemical composition of the exoplanet, the clouds could be in different

places or have different colors, and for the hottest "hot-Jupiters", the atmosphere

would glow like the embers of a fire after the hellish heating from the exoplanet's

star!

You can see the full range on the different exoplanet temperatures and chemical compositions

here.

Space is so awesome!

The researchers could even tell what the rain on the planet would be like -- which is definitely

alien -- for example, some of these exoplanets could drizzle silicate crystals.

Basically, certain chemicals in the atmosphere condense and "rain out," just like water

would here on our planet.

Obviously these planets are hundreds of light-years away, so Kepler can't resolve tiny features

like "exo-clouds" DIRECTLY.

Instead, the researchers used Kepler's observation and combined that with models for weather

and climate cycles here on Earth!

They used this to create models for the possible weather conditions in alien atmospheres.

A similar study published recently in the journal Nature Astronomy learned that another

hot-Jupiter has clouds of the mineral corundum; corundum forms rubies and sapphires here on

Earth.

Can you imagine how beautiful those clouds would appear from orbit?!

Look, understanding the weather on massive, hellishly-hot worlds hundreds of light-years

away may not seem super important, but revealing the weather systems on these hot-Jupiters

adds another level of understanding about the rich diversity of alien atmospheres out

there.

And, as astronomical techniques become more sophisticated, it seems likely that we will

one day be able to study the weather systems on nearby Earth-sized exoplanets, perhaps

revealing just how habitable these places could be for alien life.

I say again, space is so.

AWESOME.

Hot-Jupiters sound pretty terrifying, but they're actually not the worst. To learn

more about these crazy planets, check out our terrifying video on exoplanets here.

But how do you think these space meteorologist fare in comparison to your local meteorologist?

Tell us about it in the comments, make sure you subscribe for more DNews and thanks for

watching.

This looks like one colorful set.

It is packaged in a polybag.

Let's see what's inside the package.

That's a lot of parts.

One small folded instruction manual.

Looks like one great selection of bricks.

Let's take a closer look at the reindeer.

Here is our adorable reindeer.

Off to the left, we have two presents that are brick-built

Why Diamond Engagement Rings Are All Over Facebook | Racked - Duration: 1:22.

It's the most wonderful time of year.

Oh no, not that. I'm talking about Facebook

engagement season. Everyone you know is

getting engaged literally right this

second and they're all posting the same photo:

the ring.

But if Facebook existed 100

years ago, those rings probably

wouldn't have had diamonds.

One of the first recorded instances of someone

proposing with a diamond ring goes way

back when Archduke Maximilian of Austria

proposed to Mary of Burgundy.

That said, diamonds really weren't that popular

until they were discovered in South Africa.

Up until then, most engagement

rings were made of women's birthstones,

like Queen Victoria's emerald ring.

But then De Beers came along, and to celebrate

50 years of Victoria on the throne,

British jewelry makers produced hundreds of

diamond pieces and the demand for

diamond engagement rings went way up.

But by the 1930s, no one can really

afford diamonds and De Beers was becoming

desperate, so they turned a copywriter

Francis Geraghty to come up with a slogan

so good it would get people to buy

diamonds for decades.

But apparently she

immediately forgot about it until the

night before it was due, when she

scribbled down the words,

"A Diamond is Forever,"

and went to sleep.

And the rest is history.

That slogan is a big reason why

today, 80 percent of marriage proposals

involve a diamond engagement ring.

So get ready for a lot more before this

year is over.

Thanks so much for watching.

Make sure to subscribe to Racked on Facebook

and share it with your friends.

Overwatch Communication and Mindset - Game Sense Guides | Overwatchdojo - Duration: 9:32.

Hey there!

Communication in Overwatch is a very important skill!

We are going to talk about how to achieve a better win rate by speaking up and cooperating

with your team. Stay with us!

Hello guys, welcome to the dojo.

Overwatch is a heavily teamplay oriented game and while personal skill can get you far,

you can not ignore the team aspects of the game.

The most important thing to learn is how to communicate with a bunch of random

people in order to accomplish a shared objective.

To improve your own game in the long run, you need to start talking with your team.

First of all you need to get your settings right.

You need to join the voice chat and adjust the volume levels in order to hear your teammates,

and to speak to them.

The best settings are: Set Auto Join to Team voice

Set Push-To-Talk Set Voice volume higher to hear your teammates

Tinker around with the numbers, find your preferences. It is usually a good advice to

leave music on low volume, effects on middle, and voice above middle, so you hear the teammates

in the midsts of battle.

Let's talk about mindset.

Your mindset should be positive.

Calm down after every game,

and start playing the next with high spirits.

Try to do as much as possible to keep this up in your teammates.

These are a bunch of random people that you want to befriend to win the game.

Here is a nice example:

So to sum it up: Always be friendly and positive towards others.

Invite the others to join voice chat.

Use phrases like: "Hey guys, can you please join the voice chat?", or just simply "Hi.

Join voice pls :)". Try sparking up the conversation right at

the beginning.

State what your preferred position or character is.

Figure out ways to get them talking.

We have met with a player who perfected this kind of positive reassurement in the team.

Watch the footage.

He is using in game references and humor to create a positive atmosphere.

From this point, you need to participate in the voice chat on some level.

Eventually you will have to communicate more and more to climb the competitive ranks.

So now that you have joined the voice channel, let's learn about the different levels of

participation.

Feel free to leave a comment below if you disagree with the system or would love to

expand it with your own ideas.

Level minus one are players who absolutely refuse participating in the team efforts,

or willfully disrupting the communication.

Do not be this guy please.

If the player annoys you, mute him altogether and play with the rest of your team.

Level zero is something that can be expected from all competitive players.

You join the voice chat, but only to listen.

It is always nice if you state this fact in the chat, going with "Hey, I am listening,

but not speaking, sry" will do.

The others will start their game knowing that they have somebody to rely on when giving

information or calls.

This is a small step, but the rewards are great:

You will have a lot more information to use You can cooperate with other members of your

team You can use the communication wheel or chat

to combo ultimates with others

If you have reached this level, congratulations!

You are on the path to victory.

Level one is talking.

This level can make the real difference between winning or losing. You are speaking to your

team, giving them information in short sentences.

You need to always include WHAT is happening WITH WHOM and sometimes WHERE.

It goes like "I will have my ulti in the next fight", or "I see a Hanzo on the

right ramp".

See the footage for real examples:

So these are short messages that the team can use to make decisions.

Oh and you don't need to know the exact name of the places on the map, just use your

intuition and make it clear.

Stairs are stairs for everyone, but they may not realize a "greek archway", so keep

it simple.

Yes, we know that stepping up and talking is hard for some.

That's why there are just short information sentences on this level.

You must make this happen if you really want to improve.

We have seen players rise whole leagues because they started talking, getting 500 ranks in

a week purely because of this.

On level two, you do the same as on level

one, but you start calling out detailed infos, and asking for it.

For this level you need to have good game sense, know what is important for your play

and for the team.

It means that you are getting more involved in the game as a team.

Things that should be stated and asked for on this level are:

Status of priority targets.

Where is that Mercy hiding who I should eliminate?

Are there any flankers that could harass me in the backline?

The next is basic combos.

Discuss how to work together with your team.

For example if you are a McCree and you have a Roadhog in your team, you can say that you

will stun over the Reinhardt so he can hook him.

The next is ultimate combos.

If you know that you can use a combo with a teammate, continuously ask for the charge

and discuss how to use it.

For example, you can use D.Va and Reinhardt ultimates together to garantee kills.

Let's watch a gameplay where this is happening:

So we got to level 3, this is the level of coordination.

You basically relay every information to the team that you can think of at level two.

On level three, you take the role of the team coordinator.

This needs a really good understanding of team compositions and tactics.

Don't be afraid to be this guy, as a good leader can easily coordinate a mediocre team

to victory.

Never forget that you are not a boss but someone who is helping the players on the same hierarchical

level.

Do not let your ego dominate anybody.

If you are just quarreling with your team, thinking that you are better, than your true

level is -1.

And remember, don't be that guy!

What is happening on the third level of communication: At the beginning of the match, you help the

players pick their characters.

Try to aim for a solid lineup, and never actually refuse anything, just suggest ideas.

For example: "Widow will be a good pick after the first point, but I think we need

a DPS that can stay with the team.

McCree or Reaper would be nice, can you play that?".

After the lineup was chosen, you can start discussing tactics about how to do the first

encounter.

If no one else is doing this, you can just give them your idea.

If they are participating, try to agree on the best idea that comes up.

Let's see a footage about this

The next step is when you see the enemy for the first time.

You need to refine your tactics with the fresh knowledge of the enemy lineup and position.

Process the information that the team gives you and try to come up with solutions.

If someone is getting hard countered, call for a swap.

If they bring an attacker Bastion, you can call for a group up on the high ground, then

ask the team to jump on the approaching enemy together.

Things like this.

Be creative and try to adjust the team for the better.

The last thing, that is a more advanced topic, is taking the role of the shotcaller.

This is a complex role, where you call what to do, how to group, who to kill, what ultimates

to use.

Learning how to do this is hard, but it is doable. The role of the shotcaller is so complex

that it would take a video to explain it in detail, so we won't cover it fully here.

Okay now you see that leading the team is not an easy job with random people, but if you

are able to get them together and make them listen to you, it can easily win you the game.

If you feel unprepared for this role, just let someone else take it.

You can always get more game knowledge by watching videos like this, or analyzing pro

games.

Keep practicing!

We hope that you got a good idea about communication in Overwatch.

For the last footage, we have an example of epic coordinated team-play between random

people in solo queue.

5 Easy Video Marketing Tips - All Web Promotion - Duration: 4:10.

Thank you for joining me today. I'm

Brandi with All Web Promotion and I just

wanted to give you really quick, some

tips on some video marketing ideas that

would be easy to implement to make your

video marketing campaigns that much

better.

So one thing you first need to think

about is, your videos, before you start is

you want them to be natural you don't

want something is pre-recorded where you

have this big long script for. People

like to see authenticity,

so give them that. You can do it in any

sort of setting. It doesn't have to be a

professional, you don't have to have all

sorts of equipment in the studio. You can

simply use or do this by using a phone or

iPad some sort of tablet. Today we're

actually recording this on a tablet.

So use what you have and people will

accept it. You also want to think

about keeping the video short. People's

attention span is very limited, and of

course there's gonna be something else

that catches their attention and then

they're going to be off. So keep it short

keep it simple and keep it real.

The next thing you want to think about

is once you do record your video

how do you optimize it because obviously

we all want to be ranking a little bit better,

right? We want to use video to

engage people and catch their attention

but also to help boost our website.

So just remember there are a couple

different ways you can do that. There if

you're doing YouTube videos there's a

description box. In this description box

you really need to make sure you take

the time to write a well-thought-out

description. Just a one line or two line

description is not good enough. You need

to think about use that space to the

full capacity. You should have all your

business contact information in that space.

Really what is the video about. It could

be even word-for-word, transcribe the video

put it in that space if you're not going to

write separate content.

That gives Google good signals and

they'll be able to defer and say what is

this video about and should we be

ranking you for this video. Anytime that

you create marketing materials whether

their video or ads or any other type of

graphics remember repurpose repurpose

repurpose. We talk about that a lot

with blogs. So videos is the exact same thing. If

you create a video, advertising it on

Facebook, push it on your website, push it

on your YouTube channel. Anywhere that

you have a platform or space for that

make sure you're using that there as

well. Create it one time and push it out

several. It'll save you time and

effort believe me. The last thing I want to

talk to you about is using captions in

the video. So just like we used today we

have a caption. You would be completely

surprised probably on how many people

are watching videos with the sound off.

I've seen statistics as high as fifty

to eighty percent, especially on Facebook

users are not... they don't have the sound

on while they're watching it. They might be at work.

I know on my phone my sound is almost

always off and if video doesn't have

caption I move on. I just don't want to

take the time or you're in a place where

you just don't want everyone to hear, you

don't have headphones on.

There's several reasons but the

statistics don't lie.

So take the time to write out captions.

Even if it's not word for word

just get the main points across.

That's the last thing I just wanted to

through out there is just really

encourage people to like your

videos, subscribe to your videos, like

your page.

It never hurts to ask. You should always

be asking for that that constant

reminder.

People aren't always just going to

naturally do it but if you ask

they're more willing to. So I'm going to

ask you right now

like our page and subscribe to our

videos and definitely keep in the loop

of any marketing news. Thanks!
