Youtube daily May 8 2017

- Rémy, what time is it? [French] - Good morning! [Romanian] It's 7am. [French]

We had a little rest before going to

see Ricardo Villalobos. The siesta ...

the siesta turned into the night.

But everything is good. I think it's the first time that I've taken a nap before going to see Villalobos.

- Hey, hey! I'm Conor, the Language Tsar and today

I'm speaking to you from Constanța in Romania on

the Black Sea.

I'm here for Sunwaves music festival. So

what do people think of when they hear

the word 'Romania'? Normally it's not the

best kind of association especially in

Western Europe because of the media. They

think of gypsies, pickpockets, thieves,

poverty, orphanages but the reality is

really really different here so I'm

going to give you a little bit an of overview of

here in Constanța. Constanța is the

largest port on the Black Sea and one of

the largest ports in Europe.

It lies about two two-and-a-half hours

from the Romanian capital of Bucharest

and its population is a little bit under

three hundred thousand inhabitants. The

city was historically known as 'Tomis'.

Adrian! This is Adrian from AdrianPOV.

He is a major YouTuber here in Romania

and he's also a native of Constanța.

- Constanța, yeah! I'm born and living here

since I know myself. - Being a local from

Constanța. What you think is ... what you

think is the spirit of Constanța? What do

you think ... what do you think makes it

special as a city? - Mainly in the hot

season, it's really nice to come. Here we

have great parties. We have a newly renovated

old town. I know to recommend

things as a local like restaurants and

clubs and good parks because I'm a

new dad and now I know the

parks which ones are the best. It's a very

beautiful city. Also during the

winter we don't have a lot of snow but

it's not that cold so you can stay

outside and enjoy it. - Like there's a lot

of prejudice and stereotypes about

Romania in the Western press ...

Not everybody is like ... - I think in this moment ...

from before like this for Romanians [Romanian] ...

- It's like something from before,

right? An old stereotype about ... - It's

an old stereotype about Romanians

and I think now because I travelled

a lot and everywhere I went I told them

I'm from Romania and nobody looked

at me differently or treated me

differently. So I think this

stereotype is I don't know

something from before ... - Like there's kind of

two things, right? I mean people don't

travel here and don't meet Romanians in

like a normal context like they have

work colleagues or they're just

travelling and they meet other travelers

who are Romanian then what do they rely on

for their impression of the country and the

people? They rely purely on the media

which in general tends to be very

sensational. - Yeah they're looking for

this and in every country you go there are

bad areas where you will meet bad people

of course. We have them here. But as a

tourists maybe you're easy target for

the bad people and that's why you

find it dangerous but ... - My experience has been

that Romania is kind of medium level in

terms of nuisance or danger as you

travel, right?

And definitely taxi drivers in the past

have been really problematic in terms

of overcharging ... - This is also it's a worldwide problem with

taxi drivers. - This is why I hate taxi drivers

and love Uber and all these apps

but now Romania has apps. In Bucharest, of

course, Uber works. Here in Constanța there's

as a local taxi app so I don't find out

really a problem anymore

and I think street crime it's normal.

It's no more dangerous than being in

London, for example, being in Bucharest. It's about the same.

- At least here the terrorist threats are low.

- They're extremely low. Touch wood that

nothing happens. - What I find a very good

thing in Romania is that mostly everybody

speaks English perfectly. I've been to

countries where I couldn't understand anything.

I had to do sign language, I don't know.

- Yeah, I mean I spend a lot of time on the

other part of the Black Sea in Odessa in

Ukraine and there if you don't speak

Russian it's extremely difficult of

course to get around and to communicate

with people. Here in Romania nearly

everybody young speaks English.

I do speak in Romanian with maybe the

taxi drivers or you know maybe if I'm in

the countryside. - In small shops ... - Stuff

like that if you come and go to the main

tourist areas, of course, everybody speaks

English and young people in general are very

enthusiastic to speak English. It's kind of

a new generation of Romanians. Sunwaves

was really cool that's actually the

reason here. I came for a Sunwaves. - Bye!

- Hi Rémy!

- Hey Conor! [French] - We meet once again. - All good? - Yes, all is good.

- Hi! [Romanian]

And welcome, Conor! [French]

This morning, you left Belgium.

You leave from Brussels and your flight today

was to Bucharest.

How did you prepare your trip and are you ready for this festival?

- For this festival, you just need a good mate to party with!

And you've come with me

so there you go ... it's not my first time here

in Romania and certainly not my first time at Sunwaves

so I'm just in great form.

- We're about to leave the airport here in Bucharest

to go to the city center. Do you have any advice

for travelers to get from Bucharest Airport

to the city center of Bucharest? - I believe that it's better to go by taxi because

it's really cheap here in Romania and here it's going to cost around €5, I think,

to get to the city center.

There's an honest system for the taxis now

because in the past, it was pretty dangerous to take a taxi directly from

the airport. But today, you just have to take a ticket from the machine over there

and the taxi is going to come in 5 minutes more or less.

Otherwise, you can use Uber, of course. There's also this possibility.

Both of them work really well

and there isn't a big difference in price but

in general with taxis, you should be carefully in Romania.

If you take a taxi in the street,

there's always the risk that they will rip you off! - Thank you

for this valuable tip, Language Tsar.

We will find ourselves in a few hours on the shores of the Black Sea.

I feel really great, my dears friends of Language Tsar.

We just spent a fantastic evening ...

it's [my] second time here at Sunwaves Festival.

An amazing festival

with a well-selected lineup that will give you

loads of sweet vibes to your ears.

You will see that you will have

an amazing and fantastic evening.

This is the spring edition of Sunwaves

that the one for 1 May. It has all the celebration,

all the good sensations, all the joy,

all the love, my dear friends.

- Cheers!

Second day of Sunwaves 2017 ...

- Look around you ... look, look!

- So I'm here with my buddy, Jason. So Jason, tell everybody,

where did you fly from just to come to Sunwaves?

- From Boston. I came here last year, absolutely amazing.

We don't have anything like this in the United States.

- So you recommend taking a flight all the way from Boston to Bucharest in Romania just for Sunwaves?

- I wouldn't miss it! - Awesome!

- So Rémy, tell us,

yesterday what was it like? [French]

- Champions! Champions!

It was super cool!

The quality of the sound was pure.

Lamache played a set that were really emotional from the beginning to the end.

- Normal. [Romanian] - Normal. - Done with the festival. - Yeah, done.

You can sleep! - Afterwards, no more ... it's dead! - Dead? Now, Yeah.

- There will be nothing this evening. - This evening, no ... - This evening ...

Road to Wimbledon China: Hao's Pursuit - Duration: 1:28.

My name is Duan Hao.

I come from Guangzhou and I am 12 years old.

I've been playing tennis since I was six.

It started with my dad taking me to play

because he is an amateur tennis player.

My daily routine is to get up at 7am

and be at school by 7.30am

I'm then at school until midday

then it's tennis practice from 2pm to 5pm.

My favourite player is Roger Federer

because he is an attacking player.

I like that style of tennis

I hope I can learn lots of skills like his.

I think my best shot is my forehand

My weak spot at the moment is slice shots

I have learnt a lot from taking part

in this Road to Wimbledon event

because it focused on three key areas

footwork, concentration and avoiding errors.

I think for me this is very important

I hope I can get to the final of the

Road to Wimbledon Nanjing Tournament

then get the chance to play

at Wimbledon in August for the finals.

He's your only son. Wid Group's heir.

My son. Your son.

Let's see!

Goodness.

She's a feisty one.

You're bleeding.

Haeseong.

Haeseong again?

It's been months.

This won't bring him back.

You have one foot on the ground

and the other in the air.

Are you even alive?

I just dreamed of Haeseong.

A bird flew in...

And landed on my hand.

I'm sure it was Haeseong...

I'm pregnant.

Oprah Winfrey has 3 months to live due to cancer is false - Duration: 2:01.

The fake news website Newslog555, available at newslog555.com published on May 5, fake

news about Ms. Oprah Winfrey.

The hoax website makes the claim (without mentioning a source) that she has stage 4

cancer and only has 3 months to live.

I have my Déjà Vu moment.

Poor woman, Oprah Winfrey is apparently a die-hard superwoman, because on November 2014

it is also claimed that she had three months to live.

Will Oprah Winfrey die of cancer?

False, Oprah Winfrey has no cancer and will not die within three months according to official

sources.

Conclusion Apparently, the idiots like to mock this disease

to earn some money.

How To Celebrate 50 YouTube Videos With Us - Duration: 12:38.

Elliot - Hi there, welcome to myABCdad.

My name is Craig and this here is...

Elliot - Elliot.

And today, what are we doing Elliot?

Elliot - Celebrating... 50 videos.

We're celebrating 50 videos...

Yeah!!!

And to do that we are going to show you how to make this really cool number 50.

And what did we use to make that fifty Elliot?

Elliot - Hazelnuts.

We used fifty hazelnuts.

So please make sure you check out our Youtube Channel, and you subscribe, and help us out,

and take a look at all our other really cool videos.

And...

Elliot - Let's get started.

Let's get started...

Yeah!!! Wooo...

Shall we do that one again?

Elliot - And don't do that noise again.

Okay.

Elliot - Because that, I didn't like at all.

Okay, here we go.

And...

Elliot - Let's get started.

Let's get started!!!

So here is the 50 from the 100s chart.

And what we're going to do, is we're going to try and make that fifty look like a big, bubbly,

juicy, giant 50...

Okay.

So what we do first Elliot, is just put a dot right... not too close to the corner,

just down about right here.

Elliot - Here?

That's great.

And then we're going to put a dot on the other side, about right there.

Now we're going to connect those two... try and get close to connecting them.

And then we're going to finish the rest of the five, and watch I do first here.

I'll walk you through it, talk you through it and then you can do it - Okay.

So I'm going to do the back of the five...

And then I'm going to do the bubble, or the big belly of the five.

But I'm not going to do it as big as...

...you see it in the actual number.

Great. Now I'm going to really make the bottom part of the five really, really big by just

coming all the way down like that.

And then going all the way up and around...

Like that.

And then I'll just go up like that.

There you go.

And connect the two.

Okay, there we go.

There is the 5 in our 50.

Okay, so now we're going to start with zero and we're going to start up at the top here Elliot.

So a little dot and we'll go with a little dot at the bottom here.

Not too close to the bottom though.

And then we're going to use that as a guide to help us draw the outside of our zero.

And we do try and connect those, like a semi-circle or a half moon, and then we move back up the

other side and try and repeat that.

Okay... and then in the middle we're just going to do that again but a smaller version.

And there is our zero.

Now Elliot and I are going to paint our numbers.

He's chosen to paint his zero and I've chosen to paint my five.

And we're going to paint them red.

Elliot - Maintenant on va faire de la peinture.

And what colour... have we decided?

Elliot - Rouge.

Rouge... okay.

Here we go.

Our big giant number 50 is dry and now we need to cut the numbers out.

Now what we need to do is do our explosive background, okay.

Okay, so you want to cut your side and I'll cut my side.

Elliot - On va decouper l'explosion.

And now we need to stick down our 50.

How many hazelnuts do we have there Elliot?

Elliot - Fifty.

Fifty. How could you be definitely sure that we have fifty hazelnuts there, what could we do?

Elliot - Count.

One.

Elliot - Un.

Two.

Elliot - Deux.

Three.

Elliot - Trois.

Four.

Elliot - Quatre.

Five.

Elliot - Cinq.

Six...

Elliot - Six.

Seven.

Elliot - Sept.

Eight.

Elliot - Huit.

Nine.

Elliot - Neuf.

Ten.

Elliot - Dix.

Eleven.

Elliot - Onze.

Twelve.

Elliot - Douze.

Thirteen.

Elliot - Treize.

Fourteen.

Elliot - Quatorze.

Fifteen.

Elliot - Quinze.

Sixteen.

Elliot - Seize.

Seventeen.

Elliot - Dix-sept.

Eighteen.

Elliot - Dix-huit.

Nineteen.

Elliot - Dix-neuf.

Twenty.

Elliot - Vingt.

Twenty-one.

Elliot - Vingt et un.

Twenty-two.

Elliot - Vingt-deux.

Twenty-three.

Elliot - Vingt-trois.

Twenty-four.

Elliot - Vingt-quatre.

Twenty-five.

Elliot - Vingt-cinq.

Twenty-six.

Elliot - Vingt-six.

Twenty-seven.

Elliot - Vingt-sept.

Twenty-eight.

Elliot - Vingt-huit.

Twenty-nine.

Elliot - Vingt-neuf.

Thirty.

Elliot - Trente.

Thirty-one.

Elliot - Trente et un.

Thirty-two.

Elliot - Trente-deux.

Thirty-three.

Elliot - Trente-trois.

Thirty-four.

Elliot - Trente-quatre.

Thirty-five.

Elliot - Trente-cinq.

Thirty-six.

Elliot - Trente-six.

Thirty-seven.

Elliot - Trente-sept.

Thirty-eight.

Elliot - Trente-huit.

Thirty-nine.

Elliot - Trente-neuf.

Forty.

Elliot - Quarante.

Forty-one.

Elliot - Quarante et un.

Forty-two.

Elliot - Quarante-deux.

Forty-three.

Elliot - Quarante-trois.

Forty-four.

Elliot - Quarante-quatre.

Forty-five.

Elliot - Quarante-cinq.

Forty-six.

Elliot - Quarante-six.

Forty-seven.

Elliot - Quarante sept.

Forty-eight.

Elliot - Quarante-huit.

Forty-nine.

Elliot - Quarante-neuf.

Fifty.

Elliot - Cinquante.

So we had fifty and we had three more, so we actually had fifty-three.

So it's a good thing we counted.

Now, I'm going to show you Elliot a way to check and a way to organize these at the same time.

It's easier now to count all those fifty hazelnuts by fives, so let's do it together.

I'll start in English and then you help me out in French, okay.

So here we go!

Five.

Elliot - Cinq.

Ten.

Elliot - Dix.

Fifteen.

Elliot - Quinze.

Twenty.

Elliot - Vingt.

Twenty-five.

Elliot - Vingt-cinq.

Thirty.

Elliot - Trente.

Thirty-five.

Elliot - Trente-cinq.

Forty.

Elliot - Quarante.

Forty-five.

Elliot - Quarante-cinq.

Fifty.

Elliot - Cinquante.

Okay, so we've got fifty hazelnuts and we checked them by first counting them individually

and then we organized them into groups of five.

Now what I'd like to do is... glue those fives onto our two digits.

But I'd like to make sure that we have the same amount.

Where could we split this so both you and I have the same?

Elliot - Here.

Right there, that's right in the middle.

How many fives are there in fifty?

How many groups of five?

Elliot - Ten.

Ten. There's ten groups of five in fifty.

And watch what happens here when we put these together.

How many tens are there in fifty?

Elliot - Five.

Five.

We're going to put some white glue into our little bowl here.

We will dip in each of our hazelnuts...

Maybe not that much.

We're going to make groups of five so we'll stick fives together around our number.

So how many fives do you have on your zero Elliot?

How many groups of five hazelnuts?

Elliot - Five.

Five... ten... fifteen... twenty... twenty-five.

Elliot - Cinq... dix... quinze... vingt... vingt-cinq.

Lovely, okay so we both have the same amount.

So two twenty-five's makes fifty.

What are we going to do next Elliot?

Elliot - Put a green button.

Okay, and how would we say that in French?

Elliot - Maintenant on va mettre un button vert.

So we've got our mixture here with green paint, glue and I added just a little wee touch of water.

So the key here is just to dab the paint on top of the hazelnut.

Oops...

Elliot - See you're doing a lot of oops, oops, oops...

Elliot - But me no oops.

Elliot - Zero oops and you two oops.

Elliot - You're not a good one hey.

A two oops already.

Elliot - Yeah, two oops and me zero oops.

That's not bad.

Elliot - You're not bad hey.

Yeah... I've got to take my time don't I.

Elliot - When there's one...

Elliot - If I got a lot I just put on the other one.

So you use some of it to put one...

Elliot - I don't re-put it in.

I see.

Elliot - So I share it with the other one, sort of a bit.

So there is our fifty to help celebrate...

Elliot - Fifty.

Exactly.

Okay, so that concludes this video session today, what did we do today Elliot?

Elliot - We did the number 50.

You want to show everybody?

Look at that really cool 50.

What we're we celebrating?

Elliot - Fifty videos.

Fifty videos on Youtube so we're really super happy about that.

Please make sure you subscribe because it really helps us out.

Elliot - And we'll see you soon.

And we'll see you soon!

Bye.

Elliot - Bye.

Au revoir.

Elliot - Au revoir, au revoir monsieur, madame.
