The number of North Korean asylum seekers to Europe has shown a sharp drop in recent

years.

According to Eurostat data, 85 North Koreans applied for asylum in the European Union and

European Free Trade Association Nations in 2016, …down from 130 in the previous year.

The number has been on a decline since reaching a record 400 in 2013, ….on the back of improved

economic conditions in Pyongyang …and as Europe toughened its refugee policy in the

face of mounting migrants from the Middle East and Africa.

Meanwhile, 40 South Koreans applied for asylum in Europe last year.

This number is presumed to include North Korean defectors who had previously settled in South

Korea.

WHO set to recognize gaming addiction as mental health condition - Duration: 0:47.

The World Health Organization is set to label video gaming addiction as a mental health

condition for the first time next year, calling it "gaming disorder."

The term has been added to a draft of next year's International Classification of Diseases,

and is being described as a "pattern of persistent or recurrent gaming behavior" both on or offline.

The term is being used for those who constantly prioritize playing games over what the WHO

called other "life interests."

The WHO also made clear that the listing does not include any prevention or treatment methods,

but rather just a clinical description of what constitutes a "gaming disorder."

North Korea holds joint meeting of party, state, economy and defense agencies - Duration: 0:49.

North Korea has gathered the heads of its party, state, economy and military-related

agencies to assess the regime's progress over the past twelve months.

The state-run Korean Central News Agency reported that Thursday's meeting was in line with the

five-year economic development plan announced by Kim Jong-un in his New Year's address.

The report said Pyongyang's successes and shortcomings were comprehensively reviewed.

Addressing the joint meeting, a top official said the country has made a series of major

accomplishments based on Kim Jong-un's plans,... calling them "the shining fruits of the supreme

leader's leadership."

He encouraged the other officials to follow through on the initiatives in 2018.

Apple has issued an apology to consumers over the slowdown of its older iPhone models.

In a message posted on its website, Apple apologized to consumers who felt let down.

However, the tech giant reiterated that it never intended to shorten the life of older

iPhones,... and the slowing down feature was to prevent unexpected shutdowns due to degrading

batteries.

As a way of saying sorry,....

Apple said it will reduce the price of iPhone battery replacements from the current 79-dollars

to 29-dollars,... from late January until the end of next year.

Apple also said it will issue an iOS update with new features to give users clearer information

UN Security Council bans 4 North Korean ships from accessing international ports - Duration: 0:50.

The UN Security Council has voted to ban four North Korea vessels from accessing international

ports, after they were suspected of carrying goods banned by international sanctions.

That brings the total number of ships on the UN blacklist to eight.

According to AFP, the U.S. had originally requested a ban on several other ships as

well, including vessels from China, Hong Kong, Belize, Palau and Panama.

But China rejected that list and only agreed to target ships carrying a North Korean flag.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted on Thursday that he was disappointed China

was allowing oil into North Korea, and that they had been, quote, 'caught red-handed.'

It's not clear if he was referring to the banned ships or another incident.

Football star George Weah wins Liberian presidential election - Duration: 0:57.

Former international football star George (way-ah) Weah has scored another victory,...

becoming Liberia's next president,... marking the country's first democratic transition

in over 70 years.

Weah beat his opponent and Vice President Joseph Boakai, securing more than 60 percent

of the vote.

Weah's campaign was not without its controversies, as he raised eyebrows with his choice of running

mate, Jewel Howard-Taylor.

She is the ex-wife of Charles Taylor, the warlord who is in jail for war crimes in neighboring

Sierra Leone.

Weah played for prominent football clubs, such as AC Milan and Chelsea, and is the only

African footballer to have won both FIFA World Player of the Year and the Ballon D'Or.

He stepped into politics in 2002 after retirement.

Will Abe come to PyeongChang Winter Olympics? - Duration: 1:05.

Korea's review of the controversial bilateral agreement on Japan's wartime sexual enslavement

of Korean women has put enormous strain on the countries' already fragile relations.

It had been hoped the upcoming PyeongChang Winter Olympics in South Korea would be a

way to get ties back on track.

But those plans look to be in jeopardy as Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is expected

to rebuff an offer to join the Games as a special guest of Korea.

Citing government officials in Tokyo, Japan's Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported Friday that

the Japanese government is putting off its decision on whether to attend PyeongChang

2018.

This follows multiple news reports from other Japanese media saying it might be difficult

for Abe to visit Pyeongchang,... and that Tokyo is closely watching Korea's next move

on the wartime sexual slavery issue-- when Seoul reveals follow-up measures next month.

Prime Minister Abe, however has yet to officially respond to President Moon Jae-in's invitation

to the opening ceremony.

N. Korean leader Kim Jong-un makes 93 public appearances in 2017 - Duration: 1:35.

The latest data shows that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has made less public appearances

in 2017 than he has in previous years.

The number of appearances by the North's leader has been decreasing over the past five years...

leading to some questions.

Kim Mok-yeon has more.

From January 1st to December 29th this year, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un attended a

total of 93 public activities, which is about 30 percent less than last year.

According to data released by South Korea's Unification Ministry on Friday, Kim has been

steadily reducing the number of his public appearances since 2013, and for the first

time since data was first compiled in 2011, the number of visits fell below one hundred.

Nearly half of his activities were related to military affairs, as the regime held nearly

20 missile tests and another nuclear test this year, focusing on its development of

military power.

Kim's military-related tours accounted for 44 percent of his appearances, surpassing

40 percent for the first time,... followed by appearances related to social and cultural

events with 29 percent, and visits related to the economy with 27 percent.

Pundits attribute the falling frequency to North Korea's increased confidence towards

its state power.

Among the regime's government officials, Jo Yong-won, the vice director of the ruling

party's central committee, who is also known as Kim's shadow, had the most public appearances

with 34.

Top military official Hwang Pyong-so also was seen frequently during the regime's public

activities, but since October, his whereabouts has been concealed.

Suicide bombers kill dozens at Shiite center in Afghan capital - Duration: 1:34.

At least 41 people have been killed and more than 80 wounded in a suicide bomb attack in

the Afghan capital, Kabul.

The Islamic State group said it was behind Thursday's attack, which targeted a Shiite

cultural center.

Ro Aram has the details.

Many students were attending a seminar at the Tabian Social and Cultural Center to mark

the 38th anniversary of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.

The floor of the center, at the basement level, was covered in blood as wailing survivors

and relatives picked through the debris, while windows of the Afghan Voice news agency, on

the second floor, were all shattered.

The local Shiite leader said more bombs went off just outside the center as people fled,

although those follow-up explosions did not cause any fatalities.

The center was housed in a simple building surrounded by mud-brick homes in the Shiite-dominated

neighborhood of Dasht-e-Barchi, home to some of Kabul's poorest residents.

The Islamic State group said in an online statement that the center had received support

from Iran, which has provided military and financial aid to the Syrian government as

well as regional Shiite militias battling IS in recent years.

The group is now largely confined to a few remote patches of territory in Syria, but

it retains the ability to inspire and carry out attacks further afield.

Thursday's bombings were the latest in a series of attacks by IS against Shiite targets in

Kabul since the start of last year, which has left nearly 700 people killed or wounded,

according to UN figures.

Gov't grants special pardons to over 6,000 people - Duration: 2:04.

Christmas may be over, but some have yet to receive their very special gift.

The Moon Jae-in administration has granted presidential pardons to over six-thousand

people,... with the focus on mostly ordinary people and the socially disadvantaged.

This is the first time the Moon administration has granted special pardons.

Our Ji Myung-kil leading us off... with this story.

The government granted special pardons to 6-thousand-4-hundred-forty-four people on

Friday.

(Korean) "The government has decided to give special

pardons to those convicted of minor crimes, who have serious illnesses or who are parents

of young children."

Over 5-thousand people on probation will have their remaining sentences dropped.

Around one-thousand people who are currently in prison will have their jail terms reduced

or terminated.

The beneficiaries also include twenty-five protesters who were convicted after a deadly

clash between police and residents who were opposed to a re-development project in Seoul's

Yongsan district in 2009.

The violent clash on the roof of a building had left five protesters and one police officer

dead with dozens injured.

Former lawmaker Chung Bong-ju was the only politician included in the pardons.

Chung was convicted for violating election rules after making allegations ahead of the

2007 presidential election against then candidate former President Lee Myung-bak. Chung had

claimed Lee was the real owner of the financial firm BBK, which was responsible for stock

price rigging.

The government did not release jailed business tycoons or violent criminals.

(Korean) "We have not given special pardons to government

officials, economic and violent criminals to maintain law and order."

In Korea, the government traditionally grants such amnesties on nationally significant days.

First round of Korea-U.S. trade deal amendment talks set for Jan. 5 in Washington - Duration: 2:26.

South Korea and the U.S. will hold talks on their bilateral free trade agreement next

week in Washington on possibly amending the five-year old deal.

With round one of negotiations just around the corner,... both sides are said to be staking

out their positions.

Arirang's Cha Sang-mi with more.

Top negotiators from Korea's Trade Ministry and the U.S. Trade Representative will sit

down next Friday to begin negotiations over the amendment of the two countries' five-year-old

trade deal The first round of negotiations is set for

January 5th in Washington D.C. Korea's Ministry for Trade, Industry, and

Energy announced on Thursday that the revision is likely to be partial, as the U.S. hasn't

gone through all of the legal steps necessary for a full revision of the FTA.

In order to carry out a full revision of the trade deal, the U.S. would have had to follow

Trade Promotion Authority procedures such as stating its intentions to Congress ninety

days before the renegotiations begin.

The Trump administration wants to make amendments in multiple fields such as the automobile

and agro-livestock sectors in a bid to alleviate its goods trade deficit.

Seoul is seeking to protect sensitive sectors like agriculture while vying for what it calls

a 'mutually beneficial' deal.

The Korean government hasn't revealed what demands it'll make at the talks, but experts

say there are a few expected moves.

(ENGLISH) - "The Korean government seems to be interested

in weakening the Investor State Dispute Settlement - the ISDS - and weakening the conditions

to impose safeguards on American beef.

Some other cards that we can play are anti dumping."

Yet since Congress supports the U.S. anti dumping measures, the experts predict that

attacking the anti-dumping measures might be a somewhat dangerous move.

Korea's Trade Ministry in its report to the National Assembly last week, said that the

U.S. side is likely to request tariff adjustments to recover its trade imbalance.

The negotiations will be led by Korea's director general for FTA Negotiations Yoo Myung-hee

and U.S.'s Assistant Trade Representative Michael Beeman.

The representatives of Korea and the U.S. have already held two preliminary meetings

to arrange the amendment talks since the Moon and Trump administrations came into power

earlier this year.

Rival political parties agree to hold last general session of 2017 on Friday - Duration: 1:00.

As the year winds down,... Korea's rival political parties have agreed to hold the last general

session of 2017 this afternoon.

The agreement came after the leaders of the three major parties and the Assembly Speaker

spent hours locked in talks over the most contentious issues,... such as amending the

Constitution.

At 5 P.M., lawmakers will hold a full-floor vote on 32 non-contentious livelihood-related

bills.

The parties have agreed to extend the work of a special parliamentary committee on revising

the constitution for six months, until June next year,... a major issue that divided the

parties.

The ruling Democratic Party of Korea had been pushing for a two-month extension, while the

main opposition Liberty Korea Party wanted six months.

It's seen as a tactic to disturb the ruling party's plans to put the constitutional revision

on the ballot during next June's local elections.

Korea's overall consumer prices for 2017 jump 1.9% on-year - Duration: 1:30.

Korea's consumer prices shot up at their fastest pace in five years in 2017... on the back

of rising oil, agricultural and livestock produce prices.

Kim Hyesung has the details.

South Korea's consumer prices accelerated in December by their fastest pace in three

months, marking a rebound from November's one-point-three percent, which was the lowest

gain in 2017.

Statistics Korea said consumer prices went up by one-and-a-half percent on-year in December.

Prices of fresh food went down, with vegetable prices plunging 16 percent on-year.

But petroleum prices jumped seven-point-five percent in December, raising prices for petrochemical

and other industrial goods.

Overall consumer prices for the whole of 2017 jumped one-point-nine percent, sharply up

from a one percent on-year rise in 2016, marking the steepest gain in five years.

Agriculture and livestock products went up five-and-a-half percent on-year in 2017 mainly

due to unfavorable weather conditions between July and September.

Petroleum goods also jumped one-point-four percent on-year as global oil prices hit a

two-year high late this year on supply cuts by major oil exporters and growing demand

from Asia.

Service prices went up by two percent on-year, driving up prices by one percent.

Core CPI, which excludes oil and agricultural products, rose one-and-a-half percent from

China's travel authority tells travel agencies to resume group tours to Korea - Duration: 1:39.

Now to news that will be music to the ears of South Korea's flagging tourism industry.

China's travel authority in Beijing has reportedly given the green light to major travel agencies

to normalizing group tours to South Korea.

Such tours had been banned in protest over Seoul's deployment of a U.S. missile defense

system.

Park Jong-hong has the latest.

Making an about face, Beijing's travel authority has reportedly given the go-ahead on tours

to South Korea.

Diplomatic sources in Beijing say the measure was given orally and that ten travel agencies

-- both state and privately-run -- were called in for the notification.

However,... cruise tours and chartered flights are still reportedly banned.

Restrictions on Chinese travelers to South Korea had been lifted last month in the wake

of eased tensions between South Korea and China over Seoul's deployment of the U.S.

THAAD anti-missile system.

But that measure had been short-lived as restrictions for residents in Beijing and Shandong province

were put back in place after just three weeks as authorities tried to rein in the heated

promotion of group package tours.

Now with China back on track, industry experts say Shandong is expected to follow suit next

month.

In the latest meeting, the Beijing travel authority is said to have instructed the travel

agencies to refrain from massive promotional campaigning and limit sales to offline services.

Cold snap to ease but dusty day _122917 - Duration: 2:20.

Good afternoon, despite the milder than average temperatures, avoid being outdoors too long

today, the air quality will be poor all day and even until tomorrow for much of the peninsula.

As for today's highs, Seoul will get up to 6 degrees Celsius in Seoul.

Daegu and Busan will hit 10 and 12 degrees.

Snow is in the forecast from Saturday afternoon into Sunday dawn.

Seoul and its surrounding regions could see up to 8 centimeters so if you are traveling

on New Year's holiday double check the weather forecast.

In fact, lots of people are expected to hit the roads over the weekend to check out the

first sunrise of the year.

Major expressways and highways heading to Gangwon-do province, in particular, should

see the most traffic.

The travel time of coming back home from Gangneung and Yangyang on New Year's Day will be double

the usual time.

With that, let's take a look at the international weather for viewers around the world.

While we'll have higher than average temperatures along with smog in South Korea, most cities

in North Korea will also have higher temperatures under mostly sunny skies.

As for the rest of Asia, high levels of toxic smog in New Delhi and Beijing will continue.

Meanwhile, those in Sydney will have a rainy weekend but the skies will get brighter on

New Year's Day morning.

Heading to North America, I can't imagine how people in Montreal are coping with these

temperatures of minus 20 degrees Celsius to near thirties... these day.

Another bone chilling day there on Friday.

As for South America, major cities on the map will have a repeat of Thursday's weather.

Taking you to Europe,... those in Madrid will have pleasant weather throughout the holiday

weekend.

Lastly to Africa, Cape Town will be the warmest city on the map with a high of 28 degrees.

That's all the weather update for now.

Turn it on, Juanjo!

Alright!

There it is!

Yay!

Don't laugh! Come help me!

What's wrong with you?

Why are you laughing at me?

Help me!

No, Juanjo! No...

I'm soaking wet!

Alright. Where's my shoe?

The princess lost her shoe.

Put it on like I'm Cinderella.

Cinderella? You're more like a stepsister.

Dummy.

Put your foot here.

Do you think the damage was serious?

I don't know, brother.

By tomorrow it'll be dry.

I'll dig down to inspect the roots then.

But we'll have to stay on top of things

to make sure no fungi grow.

We got rid of the water really fast.

Everything will work out.

We need to be optimistic. We also need to celebrate.

-Right. -Yeah.

Someone bring the wine.

Hey, honey.

Serena's who we should be celebrating.

Happy birthday, Sere!

Let's sing her "Happy Birthday."

Take a bite, take a bite...!

Okay!

Honey.

I wanted cake, Juanjo.

Happy Birthday.

What are you doing here?

We wanted to thank you for loaning us the hydraulic pump.

It was a very nice gesture on your part.

It's in the car. Where should we put it?

Dimas, what happened?

Don't play coy.

Am I supposed to believe

that you pumped more water than you should've to the reservoir

without knowing the dam was about to collapse?

I didn't know and if it collapsed,

it's because you didn't keep up with maintenance

before giving me Viña del Río.

And if Viña Baja flooded,

it's because you neglected the canals.

Don't blame me for your incompetence.

If you're looking to start a war, I swear...

Natalia, please.

Okay, Crisanto.

We were probably wrong to not keep up

with the maintenance of the dam, but that's because

we never thought you'd overflow it on purpose.

It'd be a very low blow.

A coward's move.

Dimas.

Put the pump where it belongs.

Good afternoon.

Son of a...

Clown.

Let's go, honey.

Come in, Auris.

Sorry about the mess, but the bed broke last night

and we had to put the mattress on the floor.

Then this morning this place was flooded.

What a disaster. The bathroom's over there.

I think you can save the mattress

if you put it out in the sun.

I'll go use the bathroom.

Sere. Sere, come here.

I'm cleaning up...

Leave it.

-Close your eyes. -What is it?

It's a surprise. Come here.

Come on.

What's this?

It's a new bed. Our new bed.

Happy birthday.

Thank you so much.

Mom, where's Emilito?

With his father. Roberto picked him up.

He was very upset and with good reason.

He saw you helping the Montiels at Viña Baja.

Not to mention Juanjo.

When will you understand that the harder you push,

the stronger the comeback.

And you know what's the worst part?

That your son will be caught in the middle.

He'll remember that you kept pushing.

You don't get it.

Roberto.

Where are you?

I'm in here, honey. Come here.

Hi.

I made tomato soup

and a grilled cheese sandwich we can share.

I'm not as good a cook as you are,

but you must be exhausted after helping the Montiels.

Yeah, it was really exhausting, but we did it.

We saved their vineyard.

Cheers to that. Great.

How's Emilito?

I fed him and gave him a bath. He's sleeping.

Alright, I'll wash my hands and I'll have dinner, okay?

Okay, honey.

Thank you for understanding.

Always.

We can also add a counter so we can have breakfast.

And you know those barstool chairs?

I love those.

We can also hang pictures and I can buy a coffee machine.

Woah. Wait.

Remember Joaquin and Candido live here too.

We can't use up their space.

Besides, where will you get the money?

I have money from my severance pay.

We could fix this place with it.

So you want to spend all your money on that?

What if there's an emergency?

Why if there's an earthquake or a tsunami

and we have to run away?

Run away where?

Anywhere.

We could go away and travel the world.

We could go to Australia, Honduras or Tokyo.

Serena, we're master sommeliers.

We can work anywhere we want.

I don't know, Juanjo.

I had a life planned with Emilio.

We wanted a family.

That was it. That's all we wanted.

Look, I knew Emilio really well.

He was almost like my brother.

So please, don't compare me to him.

I'm not him and I can't give you what he could.

Because I'm not interested, I don't want to, and I can't.

So we'd be moving around like gypsies?

Alright. Fine.

Then here's what we'll do. We'll leave it to chance.

If you win, we'll leave this place looking like this.

But if I win, we'll make it a home.

Okay? Heads or tails.

Heads.

The princess lost her shoe!

I had to leave early.

You were sleeping so soundly and I didn't want to wake you.

Have a nice day, honey.

Why does hot air balloon float? - Duration: 1:25.

Smart Learning for All

Why does hot air balloon float?

Because it has invisible wings.

No.

It is because of density.

Density is the measure of mass present per unit volume.

Lesser the density, lighter will be the object.

Now, density varies with temperature.

It is so complicated.

All right.

I will explain.

When a hot air balloon is on ground, the air inside and outside the balloon is of same temperature and density.

However, when we turn on the burner of the balloon, the air inside the balloon starts getting hot.

The molecules of air move faster and spread apart, taking up more space.

Hence, the air inside the balloon becomes less dense than the air outside.

As less dense air is lighter, the hot air balloon rises and thus, begins to float.

THE ACERO DYNASTY

They found a mass grave near the border.

It appears it's related to the desert massacre,

to the Tijuana Cartel and Sanchez.

Sorry, what did you say your name was?

Mario Casas.

We have a mutual enemy in Indio Amaro.

If you accept, you could be the new Jaibo.

Your commission would be 40%.

Rooster Quintanilla is holding a press conference tomorrow.

The bastard's going to talk about ruining your deal

and taking your tunnels.

I'm going to wave around his ----- when I cut them off.

You sure the times and bodies line up with the killings?

Yeah, with the desert massacre.

The investigation was postponed due to lack of evidence,

but I think it can be reopened now

in order to proceed with the investigation.

Is there more evidence?

Yes, it's why I asked you to come.

I wanted to show you this. We found it in the grave.

Sanchez?

There's no doubt anymore.

Sanchez is mixed up in all this.

You're a public figure.

Everybody saw you on TV offering a reward

for the return of your son.

Coincidentally, I almost rescued him

from Indio Amaro's ranch.

How do you know he was there?

You're defensive, and that's understandable.

You thought your son was dead, and he just turned up.

It's understandable.

But you saved him.

You're the only one who deserves all the credit.

How do you know he turned up?

Nobody knows that. It hasn't been on the news.

-You a reporter or what? -I know everything,

because I'm Indio Amaro's partner.

Here are the rest of the uniforms,

and the truck is in perfect condition.

Officer Phillips was responsible for all this.

I'm going to need you to turn off the engine

and step out of the vehicle for an inspection.

An inspection?

You want to start by inspecting Ben Franklin?

Mr. Romero, everything went like we agreed it would.

Good job.

You get results.

Describe the look on Salvador Acero's face.

What did he say when you offered him the job?

Did he jump at the chance

-or hesitate? -Not for a second.

He took everything we asked him to.

He was real happy at the thought

of how much he's going to make.

Here's where the contact will be.

Alright then.

We have to prepare the boxes to save some time.

Right on.

Messed up, huh?

Let's make something clear at the outset.

Anybody moves and they get a bullet to the head.

What he doesn't know is he'll be getting home

sad and empty-handed.

And a monster debt because they're going to owe you

that money.

Thanks, buddy.

What'd you think, Mom?

Little by little, I tighten the noose around the Aceros' necks.

Until they suffocate!

Know the best part?

They're not even going to know it was me

controlling everything around them?

Am I doing well?

You look pretty in that picture.

You're pretty, Mom.

Daniel, I know Sanchez was your friend,

but you have to be objective.

All the evidence points to Sanchez

being involved in this.

He's either the mastermind behind

or person who carried out this massacre.

The computer files, the body in his truck...

What if that evidence was planted to incriminate him?

- DANIEL.

Have you considered that?

You're refusing to see things clearly.

-You're a cop! -I'm not refusing that.

But I've known Sanchez a long time.

It's like you being blamed for a crime like this.

Know what I'd say?

That I don't believe it because you're my friend

and incapable of doing something like that.

-It's exactly the same. -I know all this sucks,

but these families need justice.

There's a possibility neither of you are seeing.

What's that?

What if all these bodies are here

because one of them is Sanchez's?

Relax.

I'm not here to threaten you.

On the contrary, you'll want to hear me out.

I'm Indio's partner in the Molly business.

He's the one who transports the merchandise,

bribing your people, the ones who should control the border.

For example, does the name Ayala ring a bell?

The Customs agent? Yes.

Yes, he's my subordinate.

What do you want?

Money?

What are you after?

None of that.

I know much more about you than you can imagine.

I know you're Owl's partner,

that you get him immigrants

to work on the Tijuana Cartel's ranch.

I know Indio Amaro's threatening you

because you failed him during a crossing,

which is why he kidnapped your son.

But thankfully, I record all important conversations.

All my business, everything I discuss with Indio Amaro.

I thought it might come in handy,

but you never know.

You need me to sell you more Molly?

You're asking for too much.

You decide if you want to work with me or against me.

You don't want me as an enemy.

Where would you find another supplier

to sell you your drugs as cheap as I do?

How will you cross into the US?

I resolved that problem a long time ago.

I've got a contact in Brownsville

called Ayala.

All I've got to do is grease his palm.

You trust that guy?

The head of ICE in Texas found him for me.

Indira Cardenas.

Want to keep listening or shall I play a tune...?

Why'd you want to rescue my son if you're Indio Amaro's partner?

Because this son of a bitch killed the love of my life.

I saw everything he did to your son,

and I was just about to save him.

A shame you got ahead of me and sent Immigration.

Immigration?

No, they didn't rescue my son.

It was the Aceros.

Mario, isn't it too much of a coincidence?

What?

Just when you put a plan together, Immigration shows up.

It's like they were expecting you.

Have you considered your phone might be tapped,

and that's how they knew you'd be there?

It was those sons of bitches.

Those bastards got to your son thanks to me.

Do you know Marcelo Doriga?

He's trash that's worked for the Aceros for a long time.

He kidnapped my daughter.

I need to find my daughter, and for that I need you.

Indira, you and I have a lot in common.

We must unite and screw over the people who ------ us.

You understand?

You're such a pretty princess.

Go play for a while.

Look, I know this isn't what you wanted

for you or your kid.

But it is what it is.

Your dad's a good man,

and he'd give his life for both of you.

I don't need him to.

I don't need anyone to.

Andrea, I'm tired of saying it and you don't get it anyway.

This family is badass, and you're lucky

to not only have a father, but have him be Marcelo Doriga.

Honey, what can I do to make you feel better?

What can you do?

You know where I was raised? Where I grew up?

In New York.

I owned an art gallery and was always surrounded

by important people, by the avant-garde and artists.

Every night was a different meeting and dinner

and cocktail party with very important people.

Now I'm here, stuck in this bunker,

surrounded by weapons and bulletproof vests.

And do you know why?

Because I fell in love with the wrong man.

But if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere.

Right?

Right, but you're strong.

No, I'm not, Dad.

It makes me sad to have you here,

but you know what's sadder?

That Elizabeth has no real dolls.

That her toys are all beat up.

And she doesn't deserve that,

just like you don't deserve to be here.

You deserve a pretty bedroom full of color in New York.

But this here, it is what it is. It's what I can give you.

We can do it here, Andrea.

I can help you decorate and make it real pretty.

What would I do without you, Chenta?

Nothing.

You're like another father to my brother.

Whatever happens to him, happens to me.

I love you, you damned Coyote.

Look what Santa brought us.

Here I thought we were getting a lump of coal.

You're very close to exhausting my patience.

There's time for you to leave and forget what you're doing.

You don't know who you're messing with.

I don't care who you are.

Today, you're the dumbass we stole an arms shipment from.

Alright then.

Calm down, Chava!

They're going to shoot you!

You picked a nice place to die.

Hey, don't forget why we're here.

We steal the shipment and leave.

Those are our orders, understood?

Dispose of their phones

and tie them up so that they can't get away.

I don't want any surprises.

I'll make sure to speed up the DNA tests.

Mendoza, let me use ICE.

Our labs will get the results faster.

-No. -Why not?

I called you to keep you in the loop,

but I can't hinder a federal investigation.

The FBI already suspects somebody.

Who?

Indira Cardenas?

They won't touch her.

They won't touch her because her son was kidnapped.

She could argue she was coerced or forced by Indio Amaro.

How's the kid?

Good. Bad.

Well, he's alive, and that's what matters.

He's got marks all over him from being tortured

and he won't speak.

The doctor says he's got PTSD.

Daniel, we both know there's a piece missing

from this investigation.

A key piece that'll help us put the puzzle together.

Nicolas' kidnapping, Sanchez's disappearance,

and the immigrants' deaths.

We have to find that piece to clear up this mess

but above all to bring the person responsible to justice,

no matter who it is.

You were wanted by Interpol and the FBI.

Plus, you were mixed up

in the Bolsak Moneda financial scandal!

I don't know anyone whose past is squeaky clean.

They're not looking for me now, that's what's important.

Please do a search

for Marcelo Doriga, my wife, and my daughter.

I need to know if they crossed the border and when.

No, I don't see any movement for Marcelo Doriga,

Andrea Doriga or Elizabeth Paniagua.

And they're not in the Witness Protection Program.

If they crossed the border illegally,

they wouldn't be dumb enough to use a credit card,

but I'll still do a search for that.

No, nothing.

All set. Excuse me.

Now that I've helped you, you may go.

You're a very smart, beautiful woman.

Please don't waste your talents.

If we join forces, we can get revenge on Indio Amaro.

You for what he did to your son,

me for what he did to the love of my life.

Give me some space.

I've got my son.

I don't need to ---- with anyone.

Are we clear?

If you'd only seen what they did to your son,

I assure you you'd put a bullet in every square inch

of Indio Amaro's body.

Your son's back was whipped and scarred.

He was tattooed and taught how to shoot.

He even had to kill one of Indio Amaro's men.

Not you! Not you!

What do you want?

I want you to help me transport my Molly.

Up to now, Indio was how I did that.

If I don't have Indio, I want you to handle that.

That, and help me get back my wife and daughter.

Your son was returned to you.

However, I got nothing.

I can't.

I can't help you transport drugs

because I'm getting out of this shit.

As soon as my son recovers, I'm going far away from here.

I need my family back.

That's all.

You're a mother who thinks she can rebuild her life.

But I'm a father without his daughter.

I came to speak to you because I thought

you could be my only option.

I see now I chose poorly.

You're right. Sorry.

I'm sorry. I was stupid to come.

No, that's not it.

You're just a desperate father.

Can we start over?

Forget about everything I said that I know about you.

Please help me find my daughter.
