Yoku's Island Express is, from top to bottom, a weird game.

It has a little of something, yet feels completely original.

It tries to be everything, but primarly falls on a number of mechanics.

At the end though, one thing is absolutely clear: I really enjoyed my time with this

game.

Its flair, style and gameplay quirks are so much fun to toy around with.

Yoku's Island Express isn't just fresh, it's special.

Not everything works to a fault, but we will get there.For starters, the premise of the

game is what blew me away.

You are this little stung beetle named Yoku, about to take over a job as a postman.

A mysterious threat has taken hold of the island, and it is your job to find out why.

Along the way, you come across a colorful cast of creatures that have quirkly dialogue

and their rightful place in this world.

The feeling of adventure instantly grabbed me with a point of no return, and it really

pushed me to the game's conclusion.

Yoku explores the world in a way not unlike a Metroidvania.

You move from screen to screen and explore what the flora and fauna have on offer.

Sometimes there is some light platforming to be taken, while at other times you will

find going through puzzle mazes.

What brings these two sides of it together are its mechanics.

While you will move around with a ball, you will see yourself using flippers and bumpers

to get across challenges in your way.

These are attached to the ZL- and ZR-buttons for optimal control inputs.

It gives the experience a variety and edge I really adored.

That being said, it isn't perfectly put together.

Sometimes you need to shoot your ball, and by extend Yoku, to a very specific direction.

Due to the nature of controls, you don't really have any major control over the ball's power.

It is one way, or no way.

The aspect created some frustrating moments towards theend of the game.

I kept shooting, but it went nowhere to close to where I wanted it to go.

The game tries to resolve with an indicator on the flippers, but doesn't always turn out

so great.Speaking of the puzzles, I found them quite enjoyable for the most part.

Nothing shouted to me as super hard, but that was the thing about it.

The flow was very easy going, and I could experiment without taking any major risks.

They mostly follow the same set of rules, but they do enough with them to be continously

entertaining.

While some strategy orientated segments would've been nice, considering the limits of the controls,

I am not too upset that this isn't there.

You don't have to overthink things, and most segments are over before you know it.

The puzzles also introduce new elements from time to time to further spice things up.

Very early on, you get access to a party whistle, which is the most adorable thing I've seen

in a game.

This will allow you to wake up sleeping entities or force others out of their shell.

Another one sees you sucking up snails with a vacuum and using them as a bomb to blow

up walls.

It is simple stuff that you can easily understand aftera moment or two.As far as the map is

concerned, there is more to find next to the usual array of characters and puzzles.

There are plenty of extra activities or collectables that can keep you engrossed for some extra

time.

This will see you delivering packages, discussing with the guardians of this land and helping

out inhabitants.

It kind of needs this too as the main story will run you about 4.5 hours.

There is nothing wrong with the length in theory, but there isn't anything to pull you

back in once you are done.

It is an one run take it or leave it deal.

At the end of the day, that is fine though.

The struggle is really well presented in that short amount of time, and the resolution doesn't

exactly feel forced.

Next to that, you can hang around if you totally want to.

What helps here is that the presentation is top-notch, not even a question.

The characters, backgrounds and elements are beautifully animated and are a joy to behold.

The developers clearly put alot of time in making the world feel like coherent place.

The music brings the usual flair of jungle sounds and music, giving it an atmosphere

I loved.Yoku's Island Express is a curiosity.

A game that tries at every step to be different.

While it succeeds in some areas, the ambition can't be denied.

I sincerely enjoyed the story and its various elements to a tee.

That being said, the control doesn't always feel there.

Next to this, it will be over before you know it.

While that is disappointing, I can't deny that I walked away happy.

It is why I reward the game with a Liked-It-A-Lot.

Yoku is good company, and that is what really value in a game.Thanks for watching.

North Korean state media demands suspension of South Korea-U.S. military drills - Duration: 0:44.

North Korea, meanwhile, is once again demanding that South Korea and the U.S. suspend their

joint military drills, with another exercise coming up this summer.

An editorial in the Tuesday edition of the state-run Rodong Sinmun newspaper said...

that the Ulchi Freedom Guardian exercise,... a computerized drill scheduled by the allies

for August,... "does more harm than good."

It also said that if the U.S. is sincere about holding next month's summit, then the exercise

should not go ahead.

Following the report, the spokesperson for South Korea's defense ministry told reporters

during a regular briefing... that the military plans on conducting the drills as planned.

The allies held another drill two weeks ago called Max Thunder, which the North also criticized.

N. Korean official Kim Yong-chol heading to New York Wednesday: Report - Duration: 0:49.

And yet more secretive meetings ahead of the summit.

While Kim Yong-chol's team meets with its American counterparts, Kim himself appears

to be bound for the U.S.

He reportedly arrived in Beijing Tuesday morning.

According to South Korea's Yonhap News, Kim's name is on the list of people taking a flight

to New York on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Kim has met several times with U.S. Secretary

of State Mike Pompeo in *his previous role as CIA director, and he's expected to do the

same this time as well.

Also in Beijing with Kim was the deputy chief of North American affairs at Pyongyang's foreign

ministry, Choe Kang-il.

Citing an unnamed official, Yonhap News also reported that Kim is expected to meet with

Chinese officials on Tuesday before his departure the next day.

Delegations from North Korea, U.S. in Singapore for talks on potential summit - Duration: 2:17.

Meanwhile, as North Korea and the U.S. work to set up their summit next month, tentatively

set for June 12th in Singapore, officials from both sides are said to now be in the

city-state... for talks on the practicalities of the summit -- things like protocol and

logistics.

Our Lee Ji-won has the latest.

Delegations from North Korea and the U.S. have reportedly arrived in Singapore for working-level

talks ahead of a possible summit next month between U.S. President Donald Trump and North

Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

An eight-member delegation from the North led by Kim Chang-son , the regime's State

Affairs Commission Secretariat and a top logistics and protocol official is said to have landed

in Singapore late Monday, local time, according to local sources

The U.S. team, consisting of some 30 officials from the White House and State Department,

led by Deputy White House Chief of Staff Joe Hagin arrived in the Southeast Asian city

state earlier that day.

Although the exact time of the meeting has not been disclosed, the two sides are expected

to meet as early as Tuesday, to discuss logistics, protocols and specific venues and itineraries

for the two leaders.

This comes as the former U.S. ambassador to South Korea and former nuclear negotiator,

Sung Kim,... and North Korea's, Choe Son-hui, the regime's vice foreign minister and a former

director of her ministry's North American department are expected to resume their meeting

at the inter-Korean border village of Panmunjom on Tuesday.

Starting Sunday, the two sides have been committed to the talks,... but it's known they did not

meet on Monday and instead had meetings among themselves, according to foreign affairs sources.

As both diplomats are experts in their fields, it's expected they'll discuss the agenda and

details of the Pyongyang-Washington summit.

On a separate, but complementary track,... the Associated Press is reporting that a "CIA

Team," assumed as the CIA Korea Mission Center is meeting with its North Korean counterpart,

known as the United Front Department headed by the regime's Vice Chairman of its Workers'

Party Kim Yong-chol . The report says the third track is to complement

the working-level talks being held at Panmunjom.

Closer look at North Korean, U.S. delegations meeting in Panmunjom - Duration: 2:23.

As reported earlier, working-level talks between North Korea and the U.S. have been taking

place in Panmunjom over the last few days.

Watchers say that the officials that have been called up to carry out the talks show

that both sides are serious about making the negotiations a success.

Our Kim Hyo-sun tells us more about the delegations.

The U.S. has expressed its strong intent to make its negotiations with North Korea a success

with its veteran diplomat and expert on the North, Sung Kim, leading preparations for

a historic meeting between the leaders of the two countries.

Sung Kim, U.S. ambassador to the Philippines, served as Washington's special envoy to the

six-party talks from 2008 to 2011,... and also as the U.S. ambassador to South Korea

from 2011.

He returned to a more direct role in negotiations as U.S. Special Representative for North Korea

Policy in 2014.

"But at the same time, we will coordinate with our five-party partners to create an

opportunity to resume credible, meaningful and serious negotiations on the nuclear issue."

Sung Kim was selected to lead negotiations with the North at such a crucial time despite

the fact he served under the Obama administration.

Pundits say it reflects President Trump's strong determination to make the negotiations

a success.

Sung Kim's North Korean counterpart at the working-level talks is the regime's Vice Foreign

Minister Choe Son-hui.

She has years of experience and is well-connected within the North Korean hierarchy.

Choe,... the daughter of a former premier joined the Foreign Ministry in mid 1980s and

served as an English interpreter.

During the past several years,... she was a spokesperson for the North Korean regime

through her various meetings with U.S. experts in Europe and Southeast Asia.

"If the right conditions are made,... we will sit down with the Trump administration for

talks."

Choe Kang-il,... who's in charge of North American affairs in the North,... is also

part of the North's delegation.

He reportedly made contact with U.S. officials in February while visiting South Korea for

the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

With the years of experience on both sides,... there's hope they can thrash out a way to

make the Singapore summit happen as planned on June 12th.

President Moon says shorter work hours will be phased-in, starting with companies with 300+ ... - Duration: 2:37.

We start at South Korea's presidential office... and with a change coming for the country's

workers.

Starting in July, employees will see their maximum time on the job reduced by 12 hours

a week.

Today, in his Cabinet meeting, President Moon explained more about the rationale for the

shorter week and how it'll be implemented.

Our Blue House correspondent Hwang Hojun reports.

A workweek shortened from the current 68 hours to 52.

That new limit will apply starting July 1st.

And the President believes it will bring about positive changes in workers' daily lives.

"It will serve as an opportunity for our workers, who have put in over 300 hours more than the

average worker in other OECD countries, to secure a decent quality of life by letting

them enjoy their dinner time and spend more time with their families."

At a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday,...

President Moon said shorter working hours will be an opportunity for businesses to find

creative ways to be more productive,... while also freeing up new jobs.

He insisted that society will be able to handle the change,... including the pay cut that'll

come with fewer hours... and the extra burden on management.

That's because the new regulations will be phased-in,... starting with companies with

more than 300 employees.

Regarding the recently-approved three-point-six billion-dollar supplementary budget,... drawn

up to create more jobs for young people and to boost the economy,... the South Korean

President urged the government to make sure that it's implemented without delay.

"It has already been somewhat delayed, so, above all, it will be important that projects

funded by the extra budget are carried out with speed so that young people and those

in areas facing an employment crisis can actually feel a change."

Meanwhile, according to a Blue House press release, President Moon and his Cabinet approved

a bill passed by the legislature to appoint an independent counsel to investigate the

political manipulation of online comments -- the scandal named after a power blogger

going by the handle "Druking."

He allegedly rigged the Internet comments to sway public opinion, while ruling party

officials, including former lawmaker Kim Kyoung-soo , are said to have covertly endorsed his campaign.

Kim has denied the allegations.

And the National Assembly passed the act last week.

For the past few weeks, President Moon, along with the rest of the world, have been on a

diplomatic rollercoaster as North Korea and the U.S. go back and forth over their summit

plans.

But the President's meeting with his Cabinet shows the administration is determined not

to overlook pressing issues at home.

Our launch was unprecedented. We were number one when it came to that too.

One of the main reasons why the FH was an instant success

was the fact that it was simply an order from a customer.

The FH was Volvo's response to an order.

An order which, I dare say, exceeded our customers' expectations by far.

After that it all took off quickly.

It was the best and the coolest I had ever seen.

The product was cutting edge

regarding interior and ergonomics, cab accessibility and storage.

Everything was fantastic compared to the products they replaced.

The cab itself is outstanding.

At that time it was nothing but outstanding.

Our FH launch was not only about a new cab, it was an entirely new truck.

Our first project where the driver was 100 percent in focus was F10/12 in 1977.

Now we took it to another level: The driver was the most important element.

The working environment must be good, in order for drivers to work long shifts.

When I see our product from 1993 on the road nowadays I get very proud

being a part of this fantastic journey.

Our sales goals when we introduced our FH

were 4,000 trucks for 1993.

We sold 40,000!

I was very proud when we launched it. I didn't play a big role in the launch.

But it was great to show it to the media and see all the reactions from around.

People gathered around us. If we stopped at a truck stop, it was total chaos.

All truck drivers drove up to us. They knew something was happening.

They wanted to see it in real life. It was awesome.

Ever since the launch, I have been proud regarding the development of the FH.

Even to date, when I see an old FH truck on the road

I feel such pride and joy having been a part of all this.

And then we have our new FH, which is even more incredible.

It is truly fantastic to be a part of this company

and to be a part of this journey, creating the FH truck.

U.S. to hold off planned additional sanctions against North Korea while talks continue: WSJ - Duration: 1:39.

Now, a sign the U.S. is trying to improve ties with the North ahead of the summit.

Washington has reportedly decided not to impose new sanctions on the regime just yet -- measures

that had been prepared in response to the North's recent angry rhetoric.

Oh Soo-young reports.

The Trump administration has decided to hold off on additional sanctions against North

Korea.

Citing U.S. government officials, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday that Washington

will indefinitely shelve the planned extra measures against the North while the two sides

hold talks to prepare for their upcoming summit.

The report says officials had been ready to unveil the additional measures as early as

Tuesday, targeting further sources of income for the cash-starved Kim Jong-un regime.

The sanctions are believed to have included expelling North Korean laborers from foreign

countries, as well as targeting Russian and Chinese entities with ties to the regime.

Such measures were being prepared in response to the recent aggressive rhetoric from Pyongyang

officials which caused the U.S. leader to call off the summit.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the policy of maximum pressure against North Korea would

continue, in order to squeeze its economy.

Washington's most recent round of sanctions in February targeted the North's illegal maritime

trade and a global network of businesses that generate cash for the regime.

However, with summit preparations between the two sides seemingly back on track, it

seems Washington is aiming to maintain the progress on repairing their relations.

In recent weeks, top officials have promised Pyongyang economic prosperity and U.S. private

investment should it fully denuclearize.

hey this is Sreehari from mr. phone and we recently unboxed and reviewed the oneplus 6 you

can find that video somewhere linked here but today we received the Avengers

edition one plus six so this is an addition that a lot of people are

excited about and we are going to unbox this right now and also the one plus six

Avengers Edition phone is going on sale today so you'll find the link in the

description if you do want to go and book your one plus six you can do that

with the link in the description so without any further ado I am as excited

as you are let's get into this unboxing

so now let's get into the box and let's take the plastic film apart am i cutting

through the right side okay I think we've gotten into the books yes so

removing the plastic cover the first thing that is very clearly visible is

the Avengers logo in a carbon fiber Kevlar look and it is indicative of how

the back of the oneplus X is going to look so that is the front there's this

one plus logo and a Marvel logo and at the back it's pretty clean with just the

specifications so you have the 256 GB version coming with the Avengers Edition

and it's a carbon black so you just in a while realize why it's called the carbon

black let's it will fall any minute so that is the

box let's keep that aside and here is the avengers' infinity war Edition and

Arion here on camera is getting real excited so there's the phone the front

looks pretty normal it's like any other one plus six but the back as you can see

that's that's the most unique one plus six look so it's a glass back it's still

a glass back but there is a Kevlar pattern under the glass and it looks

really cool so other different other differences that you'll find is the

Avengers logo which is very clearly visible and a golden alert slider so

this is a gold and Black Edition for the one plus six so if you are a fan of the

gold and black color or clearly if you're a fan of Avengers then you should

surely get this so there's the golden accented alert slider we will keep the

phone aside for a bit I'll keep it like this we take a look at what else we get

inside the box so this okay this opens up like that and is there anything

inside no I don't think so let's take this aside so that's so very unique

unboxing experience so here yes we get a special note it says okay it says a lot

of things basically you can take a look at it and if you want you can pause the

video and read if you want to I'm not going to waste time on it so I think you

case and it fits perfectly if I may the buttons look really good there's also an

the shape the case is very good so far Avengers edition fan this is a dream

come true if you buy the phone let's also turn this on turn the phone on and

let's just keep that aside while we take a look at the last thing that we get

inside this box so let's see if there is any special Avengers animation that's

screen we see an Avengers edition wallpaper first photo other than that we

can also see a cool little clock widget which has also been customized to set

with the whole theme of this thing but I think we going into wallpapers will find

a lot of Avengers edition wallpapers so there's Thanos these are okay these are

Infinity stones according to our Ian and they're also you get a lot of

one-plus stock wallpapers but I don't think you're going to apply that

wallpaper when you have such cool wallpapers hitting on your smartphone

looking at the notifications panel you'll see this cool little theme which

follows the theme of the phone so as you saw the gold accent that's the exact

same color that you'll find in all the settings so the whole UI has been

treated a little to go with the whole theme of the phone so you will find that

in the settings also here going into customizing will also find that thing

here so going to themes there is the default theme there is light the default

theme is what once comes with every one plus 6 there's light and dark theme that

also come with every one plus 6 but this has a special option which is the

Avengers edition theme and that is what it is running right now so I think

that's pretty cool like the Star Wars edition last year there's no Easter eggs

or any that I know of right now I have seen a lot of unboxings for this phone

but I haven't come across any Easter Egg other than the case in a case and the

plaque but yes that's all that comes with the Avengers edition yes and the

other extra feature that you get with the Avengers edition phone is obviously

the storage so you have 242 GB free on this phone and that's crazy so you get
