So, if you're in a situation and the door has not yet opened,

He says, "Consider it a test."

And He says, "And I'm going to walk you through the test until I reverse it."

Nothing makes God more real than when He flips something that looked un-flippable.

See, when God is silent, that doesn't mean He's still.

I know you don't see Him doing anything.

I know it looks like you're just waiting for nothing,

but God likes to come in suddenly.

He likes to break in when you didn't expect it.

When you didn't think there was any way that this thing could ever get better—

that this trial could ever end. He loves to do something suddenly.

The reason why He likes to do things quickly or suddenly

is so that when it happens there is no debate

on who caused it to take place.

Cause it—it came out of nowhere.

filming so let's see how much longer it would stay stopped here

from now on

this is of facing east

this is the East 6th Avenue crossing I don't think you'd be able to distinguish

it on the relay case here yeah it's kind of dark oh yeah it's the East 6th

Avenue crossing i'll include a Google Maps into this location

behind me you can see the traffic it's caused

this crossing here has a WC hayes mechanical Bell and incandescent lights

and I turned off my car cause it's gonna eat my gas that gas is pretty expensive

nowadays so

duh duh duh

it has not moved an inch

train horn

this is time well spent here

see the line of cars is not getting that long because people make u-turns and

3 ways to experience food in Ireland - Duration: 6:16.

(whooshing and sizzling)

- So, I've just arrived in Ireland.

And I am so excited because

I absolutely love the people here,

and the culture, but most of all,

I really love their food.

It's really good. It's really good.

Really good. Very, very good.

It is really good. Pretty good.

Really good. Oh God, this is good.

Mushy but good.

I'm not gonna keep saying it's all so good

because it's all so good.

I'm just, just assume that's what's going on in my mind.

On this trip I wanna show you my

three favorite ways to experiencing Irish food.

Starting with a quick bite at St. George's Market

right here in Belfast.

Then we're gonna slow it down a little bit

and go to a Michelin Star restaurant

with one of my favorite chefs.

And finally, we're gonna try something

a little bit outside the box

with a local dish, called black pudding.

But right now, I'm starving.

So, let's get started.

Belfast is home to St. George's Market,

which dates all the way back to the 1700's.

Making it one of the oldest and last

remaining Victorian markets in Northern Ireland.

Today it's home to nearly 300 vendors,

including crafters, musicians,

and foodies from all over the world.

And it's been named one of the best markets in Ireland.

I'll be having that for dinner tonight.

But most importantly it's a popular local spot.

And if like me, you don't have a ton of time

it's a great way to meet the community

and grab a quick bite on the go.

This is very, very good.

When it comes to picking the right dish

there is no shortage of options.

With vendors representing foods from all over the world,

while still utilizing local ingredients.

Almost every option is a taste of Ireland

with an international twist.

It's really good.

After I finally settled on the most colorful meal

I could find, and topping it off with a crepe,

or two, or three.

It was time for me and my counterpart,

and cameraman Blaze to hit the road.

This is Blaze by the way.

And yes, that is the actual name

his mother gave him at birth.

Galway is best known as a city full of

music, art, and great food.

Located right in the heart of the city is

one of only 11 Michelin Star restaurants in all of Ireland.

Chef JP McMahon's Aniar Restaurant.

Aside from being one of the best in the world,

chef JP McMahon is known for his dedication

to using only locally sourced ingredients

found right in his own backyard.

Even the plates and cups in the restaurant

are made and sold at the local market.

They're great cups too, I even bought one for my mom.

And then I totally kept it for myself.

Sorry Mom.

So, our first order of business was a quick walk

down to the market to check out the catch of the day.

Chef is a man of passion.

And even in rainy conditions at the market

he managed to whip up a five star amuse bouche

for the passers by, I was impressed.

And jealous, I only got one.

Which I'm pretty sure I shamelessly stole from a child.

It was delicious, and I don't regret it one bit.

After a quick, totally casual demo at the market

we returned to the kitchen to get down to business.

Where Chef explained how each dish's ingredients

were caught, foraged, or picked

before landing on the plate in front of me.

- The key is that we have really, really

beautiful, natural products.

And so, it's about how little can we do with them

to kind of, so they will remain almost in a pure state.

So, that when you come in and taste it,

like the langoustine we did earlier on,

is that when you taste it, you go, oh that really

tastes like langoustine, that's really, really beautiful.

- From farm to fork there is not a single ingredient

that lands on your plate that isn't native to Ireland.

This food is truly Irish in the purest sense of the word.

Can't describe all the amazing things

that are happening inside my mouth right now.

But if this is what Ireland tastes like,

Ireland's delicious.

The food from Aniar is a great example of how

modern food has really evolved in Ireland.

But for our final meal, I wanted

to try something a little different.

And go all the way back to the early 1800's

to check out one of Ireland's oldest

and most traditional foods, black pudding.

Black pudding first emerged over 200 years ago,

in some of the most rural parts of the country.

Best known as a staple of the Irish breakfast,

more recently it's being used in innovative

dishes and recipes all over Ireland.

To really dive in we figured

we'd go to Clonakilty in West Cork.

A town synonymous with local food and black pudding.

If anyone knows this stuff well it's Colette,

the owner and cofounder of the Clonakilty Food Company.

Colette and her husband first started this company

in 1976, in a small butcher shop in town.

With purchase of that shop came

a secret family recipe for black pudding.

Out of that shop, with the now famous secret recipe,

the couple went on to become one of the largest

producers of black pudding in the world.

So, what is black pudding anyway?

- The ingredients are obviously like blood,

and onion, pinhead oatmeal, and beefmeat,

and of course the secret spices.

- [Host] That only Colette knows.

- That only Colette knows and nobody else.

- The original black pudding recipe

is the same one that we use today.

I mix the spice.

'Cause I, at the moment, I'm the only person

who knows the mixture of the spice.

- So, yeah, there you have it.

Black pudding is actually more like blood sausage.

But before you judge it, you should try it on pizza.

Yup, pizza.

Since this stuff has more or less put Clonakilty

on the map, the town itself has found more than a few

creative ways to serve it up.

And since I literally can not say no to free food,

I was more than willing to go on a black pudding

culinary tour, starting with pizza.

After downing half a pie, we stopped by easily

the best restaurant in town, Richy's.

Where the man himself whipped me up

black pudding with scallops.

If the pizza hadn't done it already,

this combo would have sealed the deal.

I was very skeptical.

And kind of assumed this would be my least favorite dish.

And I can confidently say that scallops and black pudding

is hands down the best way I've ever had scallops before.

It's delicious, and I love scallops.

This is my favorite for sure.

Where's Colette, I need her secret recipe.

With our tour of the food of Ireland

coming to a close, there was really only

one way to wrap up our trip.

Naturally with a pint of Guinness

at one of the oldest pubs in town.

So here's to the quick, the slow,

and the adventurous food of Ireland.

It's a lot more than meat and potatoes.

Til next time, cheers and sláinte.

(upbeat music)

Early Labor Symptoms - Duration: 1:16.

So today we're going to talk about preterm labor. The definition of preterm

labor is that the labor process starts for 37 weeks meaning that the cervix, or

the baby's doorway to the uterus, begins to open before it's supposed to. The only

way to really know if a woman is in preterm labor is to go to the physician

and have an exam. But, there are some signs and symptoms that can happen at

home that can alert you that this is something that you might be concerned

about. The first one is the onset of regular painful contractions that happen

every 10 minutes for up to an hour. If that happens, the physician should definitely

be called. If the water breaks, so either a gush of fluid or you're concerned that

it seems like you're leaking fluid slowly, would be a warning sign. If

there's any bleeding at all or if the baby is not moving, these are all

things that should prompt a phone call to the physician. The last thing I'll say

is if you just feel like something's not right. Severe pressure or you know

it's just your senses that something is wrong, always air on the side of calling.

There should be someone available from your physician's office 24 hours a day,

seven days a week. That's what they're here for and you're not bothering us.

FAITH ALIVE SHOW. My name is Brian and I'll be your host.

We're so glad you can join us on today's show. Did you know that

even before you were born God had a specific plan for your

life? So many people feel like maybe they were born by mistake

or maybe they've been rejected by so many people over the

course of their life, while others they may feel like their

life is worthless. But we know that God has a plan for your

life and He's chosen you to live a life full of destiny in Him.

On today's episode we're gonna hear an encouraging message from

Mike Wilson. We'll also hear some testimonies of the great

things God has been doing in people's lives. Let's go now and

hear the uplifting message from our Youth leader, Mike Wilson.

>>MIKE WILSON: But God does not make mistakes, right? He made

you the way you are and He created and formed you and He

has a plan for your life. And we should not be confused about

this because He knows us better than we even know ourselves. And

now I'm gonna read Psalms 139, so just bear with me. I'm gonna

do a, it's kind of lengthy. I'm reading out in the NIV tonight.

I got this Bible. It's my grandpa's Bible. I had a grandpa

who just passed away. And so when I was, my grandma,

grandpa's house I said, "Grandma, you know, I think that

would be cool if I could have his Bible." He's got his little

notes in here and his highlighted things. So my

grandma gave it to me and like that's so neat. It's so neat so

I'm reading out of this Bible. It's NIV. "O Lord, You have

searched me, and You know me. You know when I sit and when I

rise. You perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going

out and my lying down. You are familiar with all my ways.

Before a word is on my tongue, You know it completely. O Lord,

You hem me in behind and before. You have laid your hand upon me.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to

attain. Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from

Your presence? If I go up to the heavens, You are there. If I

make my bed in the depths, You are there. If I rise on the

wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even

there Your hand will guide me. Your right hand will hold me

fast. If I say, 'Surely the darkness will hide me and the

light become night around me,' even the darkness will not be

dark to You. The night will shine like the day, for darkness

is as light to You. For You created my inmost being. You

knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am

fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, I know

that full well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made

in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of

the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body all the days

ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them

came to be. How precious to me are Your thoughts, O God, How

vast is the sum of them. Were I to count them, they would

outnumber the grains of sand when I awake, I am still with

You." And we're gonna stop there. And like verse 13 says,

"He created me. He knit me together in my mother's womb."

Can you say, "We're not mistakes." Yeah, we're not

mistakes. He knit us together before time begin. He sees us

and He knows us. And whether you are conceived through a

one-night stand or your parents abandon you or maybe you are an

accident or you weren't plan. You're not put on this earth by

mistake. God loves you and has a purpose for each and every one

of us. And He's planned it before you were even born,

before we even step foot on this earth. He planned your future.

He planned your steps. Verse 16, "All my days were ordained

before me written in your book of life before one of them came

to pass." God knows our future. That's pretty cool. God knows

our future. He knows our beginning. He knows our end. He

knows our present. And that's something to be excited about.

We can see our present. We cannot really see our future,

you know. We live in the now moment. We live in the present.

But I believed God give us glimpses into the future. He

gives us the vision. He gives us dreams and goals, in who we are

to be and who we are to come and that can progress us. He keeps

us pressing forward. That we might reach the mark that what

He's called us to be.

>>JACK ZIMMERMAN: Shalom, everyone! This is Rabbi Jack

Zimmerman from Jewish Voice Ministries International. Who am

I? You know the Hebrew word for that, of course, there's a

Hebrew word for every wonderful expression we have. The Hebrew

word for that is really called, "Hineni." It means "Here I am."

And I think it really answers the question of, "Who am I?"

Yes, I am fearfully and wonderfully made. But what is

that mean? It means that for you God, here I am. I am to offer

myself up to you. The book of Romans says as a living

sacrifice. Let me tell you why this means so much to me.

Recently, I spent time in Israel and touring the land of Israel.

It's just so diverse. You can go from the deserts to the

mountains, to lush and beautiful waterfalls and plants and trees

and greenery. That latter category reminds me of a place

where I went to called, Banias. It's in the northern part of

Israel, flowing streams, etcetera. Now, back in Jesus'

day they referred to it as Caesarea-Philippi. And it was

there that an important Biblical event took place. It's where

Jesus asked His disciples, He said, "Who do you say I am?" You

remember the story. His disciple said, "Well, some say you are

this one. Some say you are this prophet. Some say you are

Elijah." And then Jesus said, "Well, I'm not asking you who

some said." He said, "Who do you say I am?" And of course, Peter

came up with the right answer and he said, "You are the

Christ. You are the Son of God." Peter is a great representation

for who we are supposed to be. Who am I? I am someone, and we

are someone's if you will, who should know who Jesus is. Our

whole life and our whole focus should be on what I call

consecration. The idea that from the top of our head to the tips

of our toes. We should be totally one hundred percent

focused and sold out on glorifying Christ. Indeed, apart

from Jesus we are nothing. Everything that we are and who

we are comes from everything and all that Jesus is.

>>MIKE: And I often pray, often asking God, you know. Help me

become the man that You've called me to be. Help me become

the person that You see me in my future. You know, that I won't

be too hard or too resistant to You. That You would make me and

form me and shape me and mold me into the man of God that You

have called me and destined me to be. You see my future and now

You need to lead me and guide me into that place, into that

person that You've called me to be. That prayer I often pray all

the time. You know, help me to be a better husband. Help me to

be a better father. Help me to be a better leader. Help me to

be the person You called me to be. Because I wanna grow. I

wanna grow. I wanna be, you know, more mature, more, you

know, stronger, more whatever. Mighty powerful men of God.

That's what I wanna be and that should be your prayer, too. You

know, we cannot stop the process. And God sees the

greatness in each and every one of us. He sees greatness in me.

He sees potential in me. He sees potential in you and greatness

in you. And we need to strive for that perfection. We need to

strive for that greatness. And I remember there was a banner that

was hung on the wall of the church kind of like these

banners. It was hung on the wall of the church when I first

went to, when I first got saved. There was small little church.

And I can remember the banner and it says, "Do nothing

ordinary." Do nothing ordinary. And I can remember one of my

first, you know, I can remember this moment when I was, before I

went to sleep and I was in my room. I was in the basement. I

was in the bed and tears were coming down my eyes. It was my

first, almost one of my first real connections with God as I

pray and I communicate with Him. I was opened with Him. I was

honest with Him. And I said, "God, I don't wanna do ordinary

life. I don't wanna do ordinary Christianity. I don't wanna do

normal. I don't wanna be normal. I don't wanna do normal. I don't

wanna go church normal. I just want Your life for me. I want

that. I want it. I wanna reach what You've ordained for me. I

wanna reach the steps that You've placed before me. I wanna

reach my full potential." And tears were coming down my cheeks

and I thought, "Wow, this is God. This is what God wants." He

wants me to progress. He wants me to reach forward. He wants me

to step forward. This is what God wants. That was confirmation

with me like, "Oh, man. This is awesome." And so I know that God

wants us to keep moving forward. I know He wants us to keep

pressing on. But you know what I found? That we don't become

people God calls us to be and that He wants us to be by doing

nothing. It takes work, right? We can't just sit by and watch

life go by. You know, say, "Sera, sera. Whatever will be,

will be." You know, people say, "Oh, God has a plan. God has a

plan. He'll work it all out." Yeah, He does. But you're a part

of the plan. You have to do something about it, right? You

know, whatever happens, happens. We can't have that mentality.

Whatever happens, happens. It will all workout, you know. So

we are who we are today because of the decisions that we have

made in the past, right? The good, the bad, the ugly. You

know certain situations that have come up that have shaped us

and made us and formed us who we are today. And whether we like

who you are or not is not really the question. But the question

is, does God like who you are? Does God like who you become?

>>JAROD: This is facts with Jarod. Today, we're gonna be

talking about running. It can be a fun thing, but most of the

time it's a hard thing. In 1 Corinthians 9 the Word of God

tells us that we should be runners that run with the goal

to win, not just runners that run for running sake. We are

called not to be Sunday morning joggers but competitive racers.

A nine-time winner of the New York Marathon once said,

"Everyone sees the finish line. Everyone sees you breaking the

ribbon. There are hundreds of cameras there all flashing. But

what no one sees is the hard, long hours. The lonely hours of

work. There are two facts that are absolutely necessary for you

to be a competitive racer. The first fact is exercise. In

Matthew 17 when the disciples fail to cast out a demon, they

come to Jesus and to ask Him why it didn't happen. And Jesus

response is that of a humbling one when He speaks to their lack

of preparation. He says that these things only come out

through fasting and praying. The truth is we need to exercise

both those things in order to be competitive racers, to be

spiritual competitive racers. We have to lay down our flesh in

fasting and we have to exercise our faith with the gift of faith

in praying. By doing these two things, we become strong. People

of endurance that can run the race. The second fact that we

have to take into consideration when being competitive racers is

our diet. Daily we feed ourselves with both physical

food and spiritual food. Do we want to feed ourselves with good

complex proteins? Or do we wanna fill ourselves with fatty

sugars, just simple sugars. When it comes time to race, if you

have not fed yourself with the proper foods, if you have not

put in good sustenance. It does not matter how many hours you

put into preparation, you will gas out. The truth is we need to

fill ourselves with the Word of God. That is why Matthew calls

it our daily bread. And by doing this we put ourselves into

position to win. Running requires many things. It

requires dedication, endurance, discipline, and most importantly

courage. That is why the hardest part of running is putting on

the shoes. This has been facts with Jarod.

♪ [Segment Music] ♪

do that is to have communication with Him, to spend time with

Because, you know, my mom or I am the way I am because of my

or it's all your fault." You know, has anybody ever heard or

said, " You know, you're just like your father." You know, is

that a good thing or a bad thing? Like, I don't know. But

yeah, I don't understand. I don't understand you, how you

are, how you are. I don't really understand. I don't really know

because I don't know your past, you know. But we can't play the

blame game on our past. You know, there's no excuses that we

have. We have to take control over our own lives. Our past

experiences, or hurtful things that have happened to us, our

childhood, our upbringing. Those things that have probably shaped

you but it's not an excuse or a crutch to leave you where you're

at, right? We need to get rid of those things so that we can

become the people God's called us to be. We can't settle for

this life as you know it. There's more to God. We are

called to be ordinary people doing extraordinary things. And

our identity is not found in our past experiences. It's not found

in our childhood. It's not found in our past. It's found in here.

It's found in the Word of God. It's found in the prayer room.

It's found who God's called us to be. Yeah, we gotta let the

Word of God shape us and mold us and form us into who God's

called us to be. Like Pastor Brent said, everything is right

here. You know, we get into a place of worship. We get into a

place of prayer. We get into a place with the Word is

dominating in our lives. That stuff is gonna shape us. That

stuff is gonna make us into who we're supposed to be. So let's

go to Ephesians 2:10, "For we are God's workmanship, created

in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in

advance for us to do." So we are His workmanship. Some

translation say we're His masterpiece. We are His

masterpiece. Can you say masterpiece? Okay. The word

means literally like a piece of artwork and He is the artist.

Tell your neighbor, "You're a real piece of work." So remember

>> So I had a situation in my life that kind of triggered the

anxiety and I always had the feeling of anxiousness at the

beginning. But it was never like a constant thing and everyday

thing. So this was, I kind of saw it as a normal thing anxiety

just because it's so out there in the world. And, you know,

everybody has and everybody takes medication for it in all

these things. And so Friday night when they had called up

and started talking about bad thoughts coming in and you have

the strength to say no. That's mostly what it was. It was

always something that if I was on the road or something

triggered in my life that I feel like I didn't have control over.

I had bad thoughts going into my mind constantly. And I just feel

like when they said that there's a power in no and there's a

power in trusting God and what He's plan is for you. I just

felt like it kind of, was for me? Like, really for me and my

anxiety. And so when I came up for prayer Pastor Barb came and

she's like, you know how she prays. She's really strong and

she's kind of like hit me in the stomach. And usually when I get

up, the presence of the Lord, it's more like a fire. But this

was kind of different. This was more of a tingling on, like kind

of on my head and in my head. All of a sudden, I just feel my

ears pop. I didn't even know I wasn't hearing right, but I must

have cleared up and I could hear totally like clear. And so

after, I think it was Reverend Rene said that there was a power

of no, so I started doing it this weekend. And even just was

saying no and right away or lipping it or not even saying it

loud, just no God. Like, no that's not right. Anything that

is of the devil is not of you. Anything that is negative. I'm

just gonna say no to. And all this weekend I have absolutely

done that and I feel like a total different person. I feel

peace in my mind. I feel no worries and I feel that I trust

in God and I feel like, Pastor Brent also says that, you know,

you have to work for it, too. It's not just Him. It's not

just, so I feel like I was doing that. I keep coming out for

prayer and I keep saying heal my anxiety but I never trust in God

fully. And trusting in the Lord is the power. That's, right when

you trust in God. That's the power in your hand and you have

it. And you know He's there, and you know He's watching you, and

you know He won't let you fail, and you know He won't let you

fall. So when you have that, that is the power and that's

when you can get healed totally. And also, the other thing was

that like I got healed of my back just a few Sundays ago and

any kind of sickness or any kind of pain or anything you think is

so small or so little or incurable to the world is

possible to God. So don't doubt when you come up here. If you

have something, come up here because you will get healed when

you have faith.

Our Story - How AMP-3, LLC Started All Because of YouTube! - Duration: 7:21.

Our Story - How AMP-3, LLC Started

Well I think it's important for us to share our ant 3 story and

let people know kind of how our company started, and why we kind of do what we do and

the education part is so important to us and

how

You know this started a long time ago and amp 3 started in 2011

But we've been really kind of

Preparedness - since probably the 80s

I'm keeping track. I'm gonna do it one more time ok. I'm ready. It's great having a blonde CEO, but there are some

Ok ready we're gonna say hi. My name is Beth

Shush want me to write it on the glass

No

He's making fun of me, okay

Hi, my name is Beth

Welcome to our first fireside chat we wanted to share the story of amp 3

The austere medical and practical preparedness project you did it

Film

So this was I'm kind of glad we're doing this because I want to

Share I think one of the most important things for us, and that is

You are like I don't think people realize that you are the force behind am-3, so I'm kind of glad to share that

Well amp 3 the austere medical and practical preparedness project

Really started with a single video that I put out on YouTube about an eye FAQ now

What is a knife back I fact stands for individual first aid kit?

It's an acronym, and if you're in preparedness law enforcement or the military

That's a very familiar term being an emergency physician. I always have people showing me first-aid kits, and I had a kit that I

Used for quite a long time, I put a video out thinking. Oh, just put a video out

And move on to something else that

video

resulted in a lot of

Email and private messages just asking where can I buy that kit and honestly I was quite surprised because I thought

the video showed not only

how to build the kit

But I also gave a PDF on where you could purchase the items to build the kit

The kid is about the size of an MRE

this is the current I fact that we are producing with amp 3 and it is very similar to the

original I

fact that I put out on youtube so

Amp 3. The austere medical and practical preparedness project really is a product of a YouTube video a

Single IFAC or individual first aid kit and before you know it Beth

And I have a full-blown company. We are shipping products around the world

We have repeat customers

I have for years probably 20 years David built this IFAC and

Gave it away to all of his friends, and I said to him

I said you should build some of those and maybe saw him he's like yeah

No one would want to buy those and I said well. How do you know you've got that YouTube video thing?

Why don't you do like a video built? Maybe 10 kits and you can set up a little?

online thing and try and sell them that way and see how it goes and

It took us about two and a half to three weeks to build 10 kits and now I can build you know 20 kits in

A couple days it took a long time to resource all the things that are in the IFAC

And then we had to heat shrink everything number when we first started you were like heat shrinking everything and document vacuum

Everything and it took like a really long time just to do all of that or now we package everything in

Lock sacks are our big goals. That's our gold standard, right?

and you know it now better than me I

Made these kits

Now I know I need you to instruct me how to build them, but we definitely have a system of attacking them Yeah, right?

No, it's harder to pack them so that first initial run of ten kicks took us about two-and-a-half to three

weeks to build him and then we put them online and

David did a little video which back then

I was like I don't even know what YouTube is I had no clue and they sold in an hour

well the web site that we

Made was starting to sell kits that we didn't have

Right, that's true. That's true, and then you did that first trade show and

Suicide I think it would to CPAC for the very first time at Seaside and you've had these little white trays

With like what you only had the iPad that's right. We had this little boy crazy right so then I got from the hospital

And we had we made a batch of iPads which wasn't sure yeah, yeah, we had a couple of other items that we also became

vendors or right in the rain, which is

But anyway getting back to how we sold the first ones

They sold in an hour and David was like yeah, those are just my new tube buddies, and I said, okay

Why don't we build 25? Well we got a little panic though, and we turned that website off we did turn it

It was all too fast. Yeah, we did a regroup and said do we want what do we do?

What do we do so we thought well let's try it again

Let's build 25, and maybe they won't be YouTube buddies, and we'll see how it goes

They still aren't where cash funding where we cash fund our business

And so but back then it was like okay, we have you know twenty-five dollars

And what can we buy for 25 Wow so exactly?

Exactly, so we would have a small amount of money and and bless your heart

You've been a great steward of the resources of this company

But we would get a small amount of money and that time I mean a small amount of time 10 15 20 dollars

And you would order like I'd order

3/4 of this and now

We built the 25 David did another YouTube video and those sold in an hour and a half and

At that point we had a company. I mean we launched at 3 in March of 2011 and

But we've been in preparedness for a long time

the only one take

video that I would call your brother

Doing this

In one take

Say if it makes somebody's faculty experience easier then we've done our job

Jonathan Lundgren: Scientific Research, Big Monied Interests, & Regenerative Agriculture - Duration: 7:16.

LBW: Your work whatever you're doing was censored prohibited squashed in whatever

fashion there are now at what I can tell to be countless other individuals who

have caught on and are doing their own part in this so to to imagine there

being this like this kind of conspiracy theory like thing

that's trying to you know murder scientists and that may exist

who knows but you know it seems to be well beyond their ability to to squash

at this point and so my I guess what I'm maybe not afraid of but what what I kind

of am worried about potentially is that if if people begin to move away from

say they they say they stop purchasing food from this large-scale monoculture

agricultural system and that money or their their support starts going towards

local farmers that are using regenerative farming practices do you

sense that potentially there could be some I mean you know as you mentioned

that all they need to do is instill doubt in people and I've seen that

happen across multiple industries multiple segments of our economy and of

our broader society whether it's the tobacco industry or whether it's talking

about climate change or you know any of these subjects that are really important

but all what I see is that certain industries are very invested in the the

current paradigm that they are in now and so what they do what

they do is they just essentially spin doubt and they say well maybe we know

that but maybe we don't do you feel that that's the case that could be the case

with with these sort of grassroots regenerative agricultural projects that

are that are springing up all around the world

JONATHAN LUNDGREN: Oh absolutely that's that's just

standard policy at this point so yeah you know what and at the end of the day

god I mean we like to think that science is somehow devoid

of belief systems and opinions and that's simply not true right that I mean

yeah if science is correctly conducted and interpreted then it should be fairly

objective but this even the questions that we ask are informed by our belief

systems so if you believe the conventional agriculture is the way to

go you know this monoculture agro input

intensive approach is the way to go there is countless studies that says

that you're right and it but if you are somebody that wants to see a change

otherwise going a more regenerative route then we're generating the science so

that that'll hopefully help you out and at the end of the day you know societal

pressures are gonna are gonna prevail and and if we don't have topsoil anymore

we're not going to be farming conventionally for very much longer

LBW: That's absolutely true so I want to break down what you're doing so so

people that are listening they may may or may not know what regenerative

agriculture looks like what does that mean to you and what

how can people even conceptualize monoculture crop production versus

regenerative farming practices what are the differences between those two

JONATHAN LUNDGREN: Well so regenerative agriculture focuses on improving soil health and conserving

biodiversity those are those are it's kind of a change in the mindset rather

than focusing just on profits and yields more often yields little profits and the

modern agriculture by focusing on soil health and biodiversity

these farmers are more profitable and they're growing healthier food

nutrient-dense food then then the the conventional mindset and so I guess

that that's what a generative agriculture is to me is that it's got

those four elements of conserving soil and and in biodiversity while producing

nutritious food profitably what does it look like we had you know and there's no

there's that's the thing right that's what makes it difficult to nail down is

that they're just there isn't there isn't like an instruction book right

it's and the practices vary substantially from regenerative

operation to regenerative operation but what they're unified by is principals

and and these principles involve eliminating tillage and disturbance to

the soil is really important that's step one and that and then getting diversity

especially in the form of plant diversity into that operation so that

there's always soil cover so that there's a number of different plant species in in

and around a particular farm and each field is really important and then

buying animals and plants and that's another source of diversity biodiversity

is this is getting livestock out there and using that livestock as a tool

LBW: So it seems to be just a I would almost like to use a word cross

pollinating effect or something where instead of trying to invasively control

every element of that crop that you're trying to grow you're

actually integrating a whole bunch of different things together and and as a

result the whole seems to benefit right

JONATHAN LUNDGREN: Yeah I think that's a good putting it I

mean these are stacked enterprises yeah it's a business right a farm should

small business and right now we tend to over invest these small farms into a

very narrow suite of commodities corn soybeans wheat cows

and so these farmers end up becoming really sensitive to perturbations in the

markets and right now crop prices are in the tank and so agriculture and farmers

are and there's a lot of people making money off of agriculture it's not the

farmers though very seldom

The Latest: Mexico to retaliate after US trade penalties - Duration: 3:51.

The Latest: Mexico to retaliate after US trade penalties

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Latest on trade tensions between the United States and the European

Union (all times local):

10:30 a.m.

Mexico says it will answer tariffs on steel and aluminum announced by the Trump administration

with duties of its own on a variety of U.S. products.

Mexico says it will impose tariffs on U.S. imports including pork bellies, apples, grapes,

cheeses and flat steel among other things.

A statement from Mexico's economy ministry says the U.S. use of a national security justification

is improper and that the tariffs affect strategic sectors for North America, including automotive,

aerospace and electronics.

Trump announced the tariffs in March, but gave exemptions to the European Union, Mexico

and Canada.

10:25 a.m.

"This is protectionism, pure and simple."

That's the reaction from the European Commission's president to the U.S. decision to impose tariffs

on steel and aluminum imports from the European Union.

Jean-Claude Juncker says the EU will respond with countermeasures.

He says the U.S. action leaves the EU with no choice but to proceed with a case in the

World Trade Organization.

He says the EU will impose additional duties on a number of imports from the U.S.

9:45 a.m.

The Trump administration is announcing tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from the European

Union, Canada and Mexico.

The move is sure to raise worries of a trade war with American allies.

Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross says there will be a 25 percent tariff on imported steel

and a 10 percent tariff on imported aluminum.

President Donald Trump announced the tariffs in March but the U.S. granted exemptions to

the E.U., Canada, Mexico and other U.S. allies.

Ross says talks with Canada and Mexico over the North American FREE TRADE Agreement are

"taking longer than we had hoped."

He says negotiations with Europe have "made some progress" but not enough to merit an

exemption.

8:40 a.m.

The foreign ministers of Germany and China are stressing the importance of global FREE

TRADE — a plea that comes before the United States is expected to impose tariffs on imported

steel and aluminum.

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas says "protectionism and isolation against free trade mustn't regain

the upper hand."

And China's Wang Yi says China will continue to open its markets for its trade partners.

8:35 a.m.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel says the European Union "will respond in an intelligent, decisive

and joint way" if the United States imposes tariffs on imported European steel and aluminum.

Merkel says the 28-nation bloc has made plain to Washington its view that the planned tariffs

are incompatible with World Trade Organization rules.

She's not giving details of how the EU might respond.

4:40 a.m.

France's finance minister says the U.S. shouldn't see global trade like the Wild West or the

"gunfight at the OK Corral."

Bruno Le Maire calls looming U.S. tariffs on European steel and aluminum "unjustified,

unjustifiable and dangerous."

Ahead of a meeting Thursday in Paris with U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, Le Maire

says: "Global trade is not a 'gunfight at the OK Corral.'

It's not about who attacks whom, and then wait and see who is still standing at the

end."

He says a trade war would hurt growth everywhere.
