Hello everyone. Thanks for tuning in again. I have a number of new Google Home
and Google Assistant new features and new products to talk to you about this week.
Let's get right into them right after this.
Definitely the biggest news this week is the fact that Google Home Continued
Conversations is finally available for the Google Home and your
Google Assistant. Now I know a lot of you have been waiting for this. Your language
needs to be US English in order to get it, and then it is a staggered rollout.
But it is showing up now on those devices. So go ahead do that and you're
going to get Continued Conversations very soon. Last week I talked about a
number of adjustments to the Google Assistant app, and this is all related to
what is essentially called material design from Google. what is
happening right now is that this is starting to roll out on your Google
Assistant. So now when you switch from the Google Home to the Google Assistant
app, when you see that, you're going to see a number of things specifically for
you. The weather is going to be improved, you're going to see your travel time,
you're able to see all kinds of things that are specifically for you. They're
kind of recommendations. This is big if you're in Austria, Ireland, or Spain. All
three of those countries now have access to the Google Home, the Google Home Mini,
and Google Wi-Fi. If you were looking for that capability, the market prices for
all three of those markets will be 59 Euros for the Google Home Mini. The
Google Home is 149 euros, and the Google Wi-Fi is 139 euros and 359 for the
three-pack. Expanding on YouTube Music, which has already been launched in the
US, you can now get YouTube music and the YouTube premium paid streaming platform
in Canada. I've already received this, and if you're one of those with a Google
Music subscription, you already have this subscription available to you. You just
simply need to go to YouTube and it will be there and available for you. Next up
if you have a Sony TV and you're in the UK, you're going to get Google Assistant
on it. These are the 4k HDR TV range of Sony TVs.
You're going to get Google Assistant very soon. Now it's starting in the UK
like I said, but it's coming to France, Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands later
in 2018. If you've signed up with Vivint, that's a smart home security
company, if you've signed up with them you're going to be able to control your
devices very soon with Google Home and the Google Assistant. This is now a
new partnership that they've entered into and you're going to be able to
control your smart home. One last thing to talk about this week
Sensible Objects is a company that has actually raised 3.2 million dollars, and
what they're essentially building is board games.
Now we first saw the game When In Rome, and we first heard about it, if you've
been following the channel for a while you will have heard it here, it will go
on sale on July 2nd on Amazon in Australia, Canada, and the US, and the UK.
But they've also raised all this additional funding to go and create more
board games that work with both Alexa and the Google Assistant. thanks for
