Hi, my name is Sameera and I'm a Product Specialist at YouTube.
For many creators
turning their passion into revenue is an important aspect of the YouTube platform.
I'm here to explain how ads work
and debunk some of the myths that are floating out there.
There are 3 key players when it comes to YouTube monetization
the viewers, the creators, and the advertisers.
>From a viewer perspective
we want YouTube to be the best place to find and enjoy entertaining content.
>From a creator perspective, we want YouTube to be the optimal platform
where you can produce content your audience loves
and for those who choose to and qualify, a way to earn money too.
And from an advertiser perspective, we want to provide a safe environment
for them to reach their target audiences with precision.
These 3 players work together.
Creators build an audience, advertisers buy ads to reach that audience
and viewers watch your videos with relevant ads.
And then you get paid.
Let's dive into this a little deeper.
After joining the YouTube Partner Program
you can turn ads on in YouTube Studio and earn money.
We suggest you select all ad formats as your upload default
so that you can maximize on the type of ads served.
However, you'll wanna be sure you only select videos to serve ads
that comply with the Advertiser-Friendly Guidelines.
Advertiser-friendly content is appropriate for most audiences
and does not feature sensitive topics
like drugs, sexually suggestive content, or hateful content.
There are many more examples of content that is not advertiser-friendly
so check out our content guidelines
linked in the description for more information.
Content that's meant for more mature audiences
can still make money on YouTube but you'll likely see less revenue from ads.
And as a reminder, all videos uploaded to YouTube
must comply with our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
Once you've turned ads on
they will be served on all of your eligible videos
and you'll earn revenue from this.
The ads displayed on your video are automatically selected based on many factors
including your audience, video metadata, and whether the content is advertiser-friendly.
Next, I'm going to show you the different types of ads
that might appear next to your videos.
One type is display ads.
These appear to the right of the feature video
and above the video suggestions list.
Another type are overlay ads, which are the semi-transparent ads
that appear on the lower 20% portion of your video.
Then we have bumper ads.
These are non-skippable ads
that must be watched before your video can be viewed
and last 6 seconds or less.
Other types of ads include skippable and non-skippable video ads
and sponsored cards, which display content that may be relevant to your video.
And there are also mid-roll ads, which can be served during longer-form content.
Ad revenue is a great source of income for many creators.
Think about how you can make videos
that resonate with your audience and are suitable for advertisers.
If you've enabled a video for monetization but don't see ads on it
try using our video monetization troubleshooter.
And check out the Creator Academy to learn more.
Bye for now!

Things to do in Antwerp with Tuktuk | Visit Antwerp with Family | Belgium - Duration: 14:54.
How many times have you been walking in the old town streets
without knowing where you are
and what history contain surrounding buildings
it's architecture, monuments and landmarks
roads and rivers
and all other small details that make you stop and explore for a while?
As a matter of fact, we have been in such situations plenty of times before.
We were taking photos in picturesque and historical sites again and again
and apparently, we didn't have a clue where exactly we are.
In fact, we felt similarly ones we visited Antwerp first day
since we didn't have enough time for preparation.
As a result, we decided to find an expert,
a professional guide, who could tell us much more than you can see now.
Because of Antwerp size,
we decided to find something with the wheels
and accidentally found information about Antwerp Tuktuk.
In this video, Inge from Antwerp Tuktuk
will tell us some exciting stories about this beautiful Belgium city.
*My Family Travel Zone Intro*
Welcome in Antwerp
My name is Inge
I am the owner of the company Antwerp Tuktuk
Today we are gone to do a two hour tour
From the center to the north and back
I will tell you a lot of stories
and a little history
but it is not boring
We just go with Tuktuk
driving
and I will stop on a regularly basis
You will learn in two hours a lot
regarding Antwerp
Behind me we have the Catheadral
The name of the cathedral is our lady
in french it is notredame
our lady is the patroness of Antwerp
so our lady is Maria with the child
and this is the highest tower in town
123 meters height
so you will never forget, it is 1 - 2 - 3
We are at the Groenplaats
I will be with my feet in the grass
This was a cemetery
without stones
Poor people were buried here
And then on the other side of the cathedral, we had another cemetery with stones
More for the ritch people
Antwerp is not only known from the big harbor
because we have the second harbor in Europe.
Rotterdam is the first
We are also known for the diamonds, for the chocolate, for the beer.
and also fashion
Fashion is very important in Antwerp, and it all started in the eighties
This is the real fashion area
and if you want to buy some shoes from our designers
you have to go to that shop over there
a little bit more expensive,
but the real quality
We are here on the Friday Market
so this is the real name of this place.
Every Friday we have a second-hand market
This is since 1542
Maybe some family member died or grandmother
and then the whole stuff
The expensive stuff goes to antiques.
and the rest will be sold here
this is very very popular
because you can buy it here like a chair for five euros
plants for one euro
so it is very very popular
not only for the people from Antwerp citizens
but also for tourists
and you have the ambiance here
For the rest, you have the main square in the center
and that was the market for the luxury stuff
one euro, two euro
ye, sold
And this is for more than four hundred years
Sometimes I will show you some hidden places
and I am in front of Plantin-Moretus museum
it is a printing museum
and it was in hands for 300 hundred years of the same family
This is the garden of the museum
And it is from the sixteen century
it is the combination of the house, the offices
and the fabric where they are printing
the papers
because at that time you could buy here the papers
and then you had to go to another proffesion
and that is the bookbinder
You choose your leather
cover
And then they start to create a book for you
The end of the nineteen century
the business go down
and the family
provided the whole thing
the house, everything into it
And they offered it to the city of Antwerp
and now it is a very very nice museum
This house had three water pumps
Getting the water from the ground
and more or less it was drinkable
But normally people were getting the water from the wells
And the water from the wells was not drinkable
It is just a little bit for cleaning
And therefore in the sixteen century
people were drinking beer
a lot of beer
like an average of four hundred liters for persons per year
That is more than a liter per day
So in the sixteen century
the Antwerp was the metropolis of Europe
we had the harbor, but the harbor was inside the city
so we had a lot of canals
inside the city
but when the boats get bigger and bigger
and end of the nineteen century
this river became a river harbor
so we straighten this held
and then later on
the harbor moved to the north
and we have a lot of docks in our harbor
Behind me, we have the first stone building, the castle
it is thousand years old
and it was the start of Antwerp
this was a prison as well
When they stall something
the punishment could be
cut-off your hand
or if you had
and did a murder
you will be hang
a little bit further
And now, today
They are renovating the castle
and in two years when you come back in 2020
This will be the touristic point
The cruise ships
all over Europe
will be there
there we have the new terminal
and people go out the ship
going to the castle
the touristic point
And see immediately what happens in Antwerp
So that will be in 2020, it will be finalized
What you see behind me is the MAS - Museum at the stream
and it has been built in 2011
it is very new
and since then
this whole area
this area has been very very hype
the old warehouses
turned in
very fancy lofts
And this is an expansion of Antwerp
With a little bit imagine, fantasy
you see the building
you see the containers
and the glass is the water
so this is
a high light
a landmark
between the city and the harbor
This is a map of Antwerp and the harbor.
This is Antwerp
And until 1880
all people were living here
and only in 1880
they turned on the Spanish walls
and then we had another expantion
after 1880
this was Antwerp
here
we are living like 100000 people
So where we are now
is here
and those are the first docks
of Antwerp
And then the harbor expanded
And if you take a look
and we go further and further
the docks get bigger and bigger
and Antwerp is very known for petroleum
Raw petroleum is coming from Rotterdam
via pipelines
and then
made in kerosene
and then again via pipelines, it is going to Brussels
to Airport
We are also very known for a stock of fruit
and coffee
and therefore we have a lot of coffee shops
and also shops for chocolate
because we have a lot of chocolate beans here
in our harbor
we can
with our stock of coffee beans
offer
per day
the whole world
one cup of coffee
We arrived here
at a little harbor
this is also the first dock
of Antwerp
with a lock to the river
And maybe you know this guy
The French guy Napoleon Bonaparte
He came to hear the first time in 1803
and he decides
to build his military dock over here
for his military ships
because he was in a war with England
And it was like a pistol
on the heart of England
So he had its military ships with all the canons
England
Would go via the river and attack Antwerp
Napoleon Bonaparte was ready with his frigate ships
Behing me
you see a piece of art
so these little white guys
with a square head
and the creator, the artist is Daisy Boman
and therefore we call these little guys the Bo marriages
so and under top
you see the whisperer
he is whispering a message
We are in the middle of the administrative center
it is the main square in our city hall
and in the middle, we have this nice statue
and that is the history of our name Antwerp
on the top, you see a very brave soldier
and he is calling Bravo
We know the castle
and these is living a big giant
so and in the sixteen century
Each shipper has to pay a lot of taxes
when he is arriving in Antwerp
and when the shippers are not paying the taxes
the giant is cutting off the hand
and throw it in his held
Bravo
With 7 companions
He went on the ship, a little ship
on his held on the river
and then
he started to fight against
the giant
and they won
so what happens?
He cut off the head
He cut off the hand
and then throw the hand in this held
throwing
a hand is also like
hand
warp
warp is throwing away
So there we have the name
Antwarp or Antwerp
Behind me, we have a very nice example
of one of our warehouses
and this is part also of the old docks
This is a very nice example of the warehouse
attached of the first docks of Antwerp
It was built in 1860
today it is the archive
the paper archive of Antwerp
We have like 38 kilometers of paper archive
So let's have a look inside
because we have a very nice alley over there
This warehouse
built in 1860
this was a packhouse
Tho store grains, coffee and a lot of other products
So and two years later we had a big big fire and the city
Desided to make a fire alley
So this is still a fire alley but turned in a little street
And today this is the archive of Antwerp
So we have like 38 km of paper archive
These are the old fire doors
More than 100 years old
you see a little hole
Any Idea why this litte hole is inside?
*interference*

'I'm officially done!' - Arsenal fans are livid as Benatia leaves Juventus - Duration: 3:04.
All Arsenal fans will be hoping that Unai Emery can lure a new centre-back to the club before Thursday's deadline following a spate of recent injuries
Rob Holding is a long-term absentee after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament against Manchester United at the start of December, with Sokratis now joining him on the sidelines after sustaining an ankle injury against the Red Devils in the FA Cup on Friday
Landing awkwardly as he went for the ball with Jesse Lingard, the summer signing won't return to training until the end of February
That has left the Gunners with Laurent Koscielny, Shkodran Mustafi and Konstantinos Mavropanos as options for Emery at the back, while Nacho Monreal can also play there if things get even worse
Chelsea's Gary Cahill has been linked with a move across London before the deadline given his lack of playing time but it remains to be seen where exactly he'll be playing his football come the weekend
Mehdi Benatia, who has been tipped to move to Arsenal in the past, is also another defender to have been linked with the Gunners after barely featuring for Juventus over the course of the season However, he now won't be heading to north London after departing the Bianconeri on Monday
The Moroccan has joined Al Duhail Sports Club in Qatar for an initial €8million after falling out of favour under Massimiliano Allegri in Turin this season
It's fair to say the news hasn't exactly gone down well with Arsenal fans given the club are desperate for centre-backs and he has moved on for a very low transfer fee
Here's what the fans have had to say on Twitter about his shock move. Arsenal's transfer plans for January With the January transfer window in full swing, football
