Hey everybody and welcome to Leia's Lair.

In this episode I will be going over 7 interesting facts you might not know about Senator Palpatine.

If you are enjoying the videos, please give them a like, share and subscribe to the channel

so I can continue making them for you.

Number 1: He studied with Darth Plagueis

In Episode 3, Anakin and Palpatine talk about the mysterious Sith Lord Darth Plagueis.

"Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise?"

Like Palpatine, Plagueis lived on Naboo and believed he could dominate the galaxy by destroying

the Jedi through immortality.

He took Palpatine as his apprentice and together they worked to discover the secrets of life

itself.

However, once Palpatine learned this knowledge, and found an apprentice of his own, he killed

Plagueis in his sleep, keeping the rule of 2.

"He taught his apprentice everything he knew.

Then his apprentice killed him in his sleep.

Ironic."

Number 2: He was actually the Sith Apprentice in Episode 1

"You have been well trained, my young apprentice.

They will be no match for you."

In Episode 1, we are made to believe that Palpatine is the Sith Lord and Maul is his

apprentice.

However, Palpatine's Master is very much alive at the start of Episode 1, making Palpatine

the apprentice and Maul a violation of the Rule of 2.

"Always two, there are."

It is during the intense battle between Maul, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon that Palpatine murders

Plagueis in his sleep, taking up the role of Sith Lord.

Number 3: He took over the Jedi Temple

Ever wonder what happened to the Jedi Temple and all it archives after Order 66?

Well, following the genocide of the Jedi Order, Palpatine chose to make the Jedi Temple his

own personal palace.

This allowed him to destroy or hide important aspects of their history and gave him direct

access to their archives.

Number 4: He ordered the destruction of Naboo "Weesa going home!"

After the destruction of the Death Star, Palpatine began to fear for his safety.

He began developing contingency plans should Darth Vader turn on him or his reign as Emperor

should end.

One such plan was Operation Cinder.

In order to ensure Sith control over the Empire if he died, Palpatine ordered that key planets

in the Empire be attacked, beginning with Naboo.

Within one month, the Empire had installed climate disruption satellites around Naboo

to control the weather.

After his death, Intense weather threatened all life on the planet, so Leia and Lando

led rebel forces to eventually liberate Naboo, allowing it fall under New Republic jurisdiction.

Number 5: He had replacements for Darth Vader ready

"Take your father's place at my side."

It is not surprising that the Emperor had little trust for even his closest associates.

He began searching out Force-sensitive infants all over the galaxy, creating a new Dark Side

order known as the Inquisitors. As the Rebel Alliance formed and began staging attacks

on the Empire, Palpatine tasked Darth Vader and the Inquisitors with eliminating the Rebellion.

He also planned to use the Inquisitors as a defense force, should Vader turn on his

master.

Number 6: He was not trained until he was 17

While it was normal in the Old Republic days for Jedi, and often Sith, to be instructed

from a very young age, Palpatine had no force instruction until he was 17 years old!

At that point, Darth Plagueis convinced the adolescent Palpatine to murder his father.

Palpatine, raised in a wealthy noble family on Naboo, had grown to believe that money

could substitute for morals, and was eager to kill his father and begin his path towards

becoming the galaxy's most prevalent Sith Lord.

Number 7: His lightsaber combat form is unknown "It's treason, then."

While most character's forms have been revealed, Palpatine's has not.

To make matters more confusing, sometimes we see him wielding a single crimson blade,

while other times he wields twin red lightsabers.

Regardless, even if we don't know his exact style, we do know he is a deadly fighter in

every battle.

And there you have it!

Thanks for watching everyone!

What are the components of a unit central?

Hello everyone. It's Lou's screenshot tuto. We will start

by a little quiz. I will pass you a slide and if you get to

links of his chain in the description. Yes I know, it stays in the lead and there

you thank me because I rotten your day.

Let's see together what we find at inside a central unit.

We will find a block power supply, a motherboard, a card

graphic is still full of others cards plenty of other things we're going

detail all this together. If you are there find pieces of pizza and

cat hair, it's going to be time when even to clean.

The easiest part to identify is probably the power supply. The

power supply is quite easy to replace and this piece does cost in

general not very expensive. The motherboard is really the heart of the computer. She

manages all devices: hard drives, mouse, keyboard all

components of your computer are connected to it. The processor is

fixed on it. If the motherboard is the heart, the

processor is the brain. The processor is responsible for executing all

computer programs. he is rhythmic by a clock called quartz.

The rate is more or less fast at each pulse of the clock the

processor executes an instruction that is usually stored in a registry

of instruction, a very small memory fast located in the processor itself.

Lovers of video games, videographers, the graphics card is for

we essential. It is indeed she who allows us to display the images on

our screens. The sound card is optional. She is now most

time integrated directly into the map mother.

RAM is the RAM. It's a working memory that allows to do

calculations and record its different calculations. The hard disk stores

digital data. These elements can be images of the sounds of the videos.

The size of these elements is expressed in megabytes MO gigabyte GO or

terabytes TO. Before closing our CPU, let's take a look

And it's a status thing about what does it mean that you don't have to look like you're trying?

Are you still succeed? Well, that means you have more status.

So one way we express our status is by buying things with money.

because if you show up in your you have the new phone your status is higher for why that means nothing but it still

Losing the FTC Trial Could Devastate Qualcomm's Fundamentals - Duration: 8:21.

Dylan Lewis: Evan, when you look at how Qualcomm's top line works, the licensing segment,

which they refer to as QTL, doesn't seem like that much money.

But you need to think about the margins for these different businesses that they have.

We're talking about something that's the breadwinner for this overall business.

Evan Niu: Right. IT's super high-margin because they're just licensing the technology.

Whereas on the chip side, of course, it's a hardware business, so inevitably you're

going to have much lower margins there.

The two sides of this company go very well together, as we've seen over the past decade.

Lewis: I think the actual numbers, the licensing business does currently about $1 billion in

revenue per quarter.

You go back over the past 12 months, Qualcomm has done about $23 billion in sales.

So, licensing looks like a drop in the bucket.

You look at the margins, though, licensing is near a 60% earnings before taxes margin.

The other side of the business makes much more revenue but has an EBT margin in the high teens.

So, anything that will impact this part of the business will have an outsized impact

on the financials for this company.

Niu: Right. The licensing business has been under a lot of pressure over the past couple of years

in part because of these legal challenges.

For example, licensing revenue total in fiscal 2018 was about $5.2 billion.

That's down from $6.4 billion in fiscal 2017 and $7.7 billion in fiscal 2016.

So, that business has been under a lot of pressure.

They've been trying to make concessions to try to appease all these people that are upset

with how they do business.

For example, in late 2017, they reduced the percentage rate that they're asking.

In early 2018, they also lowered the cap of both the value of the handsets, since they

charge based on the total value of the phone, but they cap it.

They lowered that cap from $500 to $400.

They're trying to make these concessions to appease these people that are upset, and that's

also weighing on the business.

Lewis: It seems like the market is starting to take notice of the fact that this is a

pretty big risk for this business.

Earlier this week, we saw an official short note out from Kerrisdale Capital about this company.

It was tied to the fact that they didn't think that this business model was sustainable and

they were worried about what this company might look like if they're not able to charge

the current margins that they are on a lot of their products.

Niu: Right. Kerrisdale was pretty damning in their estimates.

They argued that Qualcomm's only worth $21 a share if they lose all of these battles.

They estimate that they would be losing out on $2.7 billion of licensing revenue compared

to their fiscal 2018. That's over half of revenue in that business for the last fiscal year.

That's a massive cut.

They're predicting the stock is going to fall by 60%, assuming that they're going to lose

these battles, and that's why they have a short position.

Lewis: Yeah. Even if you're not predicting a huge haircut for this stock, you look at the type of company

that this has been over the last couple of years, this business has bought back a ton

of stock, they pay a pretty solid dividend, about a 5% yield right now.

It's hard for me to imagine that those types of policies, that type of capital allocation program,

is going to continue if they aren't able to command the same premiums on their

stuff that they have in the past. Niu: I definitely agree.

They've generally been pretty good about capital returns historically.

They did a massive $30 billion buyback last year after the NXP deal fell apart.

In general, they've been increasing these dividends very regularly.

But, yeah, the sustainability of that dividend will be seriously called into question

if they lose these legal battles.

If you look at their adjusted earnings per share, last year, they did about $3.69.

I think they paid out $2.30 in dividends.

The payout ratio is about 65%, which theoretically says that maybe they have some wiggle room.

But if you look at free cash flow, which is what pays dividends, free cash flow last

fiscal year was $3.1 billion. Dividend payments were $3.5 billion.

They paid out more in dividends than they brought in in free cash flow, and that's not a good sign.

Lewis: No, it's not what you want to see from a dividend payer.

I look at all of this -- some people might see a big decision like this and think,

"There might be some upside potential for this stock, possibly a chance to buy before we see something

that could meaningfully change the thesis," try to get ahead of that news.

I don't want any part of this business anytime soon, Evan.

Niu: I actually sold back in 2015, and that turned out to be a good time.

Obviously, I didn't know that this relationship with Apple was going to implode so spectacularly.

But at the same time, there were a lot of risks around customer concentration.

Apple is the biggest modem customer by far and it's been pretty obvious that they've been

developing their own modem for few years, even though it could be still more years before

they're ready to actually ship their own modem. On top of that, they have a massive debt load.

They've been trying to pay down their debt. Right now, it's about $16 billion in total term debt.

That's down from $22 billion from fiscal 2017.

But even with the debt, the interest expense last year was more than operating income.

That's another sign that these financials are deteriorating.

They paid $770 million in interest last year, but they only generated $740 million in operating income.

They're already at this precarious position.

As we mentioned, if these legal battles go against them, it's just going to get a lot worse.

Lewis: I think as an investor, you want things that are relatively easy and relatively simple to predict.

This reminds me a bit, it's not quite on par with the binary outcomes that you see in the

biotech space, in the healthcare space, but this is maybe as close as we get in the tech world.

One decision will very meaningfully impact the trajectory of a business for the next year or two.

In this case, I don't want to have to pay to have a seat to watch that happen.

I'd rather just watch from the sidelines and see.

This could be something that really changes the dynamic of this business and what they're

able to do in terms of rewarding shareholders, and also what they're going to have in terms

of cash on hand to be able to plow into R&D and anything else that they want to do over

the next couple of years.

Niu: I agree. There's so many risks facing Qualcomm right now.

I'm very glad to not be in it. I'll be with you on the sidelines watching them.

Right now, it seems like most experts feel like the FTC has a pretty strong case.

The federal judge, Lucy Koh, handles a lot of these high-profile tech cases, has already

issued a preliminary ruling last year tentatively siding with the FTC and saying, "Yes, Qualcomm

should change its licensing practices." Of course, that's not a finalized decision.

But I think there's indications that it's not going to go in Qualcomm's favor.

Lewis: Yeah. It's not necessarily that we're going to go back to a period of them basically wiping

this business segment.

It might be that it's more reasonable, but even at that, if this is the engine that's

driving this company and any element of it is taking a haircut, it's going to be problematic for investors.

Niu: It also has implications for other players.

There are something like 10 or 12 companies that are similar to Qualcomm in the sense

that they develop these standard-essential patents for the cellular industry and then license them out.

Almost all of them do charge based on the total price of the smartphone.

If that practice gets shot down, that has implications for a bunch of other companies

like Nokia, Ericsson, a bunch of other players, too.

This is going to be a pretty big trial that will have a lot of impact on the industry.

Lewis: For people that are following this story, we should have an update when?

When are they going to be actually releasing a decision?

Niu: I don't know if they've set a timeline for that.

I know that the trial is supposed to conclude next week.

But then, the judge is going to make a call. It's not a jury trial.

Lucy Koh will have to take some time to form her opinion, because those opinions tend to

be super long and detailed. She'll have to have a lot of good rationale for her decisions.

I don't know exactly how long to expect on that, but it's going to be a big one whenever it drops.

Lewis: We'll have some update on the business when they report earnings, but a far more

important update on the business whenever that decision is finalized and we get a sense

of what this company will look like over the next couple of years.

Piczle Colors (Switch) Review | Mr. Panda's Reviews - Duration: 5:05.

PANDA!

Hello!

I'm Alex, also known as Mr. Panda,

and this is my review of Piczle Colors for the Nintendo Switch!

One of my favorite aspects about the Nintendo Switch is its portable mode, which lends itself

for relaxing puzzle games.

Piczle Colors is the latest puzzler from the creators behind Piczle Lines DX.

The game is a variation of Picross, a type of brainteaser where you use numerical clues

to complete a picture crossword.

The objective of each puzzle is simple: color in every square on a grid

to form a pixelated picture.

You do so by following corresponding clues to determine what color goes in each square.

As an example, if a row in a 10x5 grid had a blue number 8, you'd know

that eight out of the ten boxes in that row are blue, but you wouldn't necessarily know

which ones.

You'd also have to consider what colors go in that row's remaining two boxes.

If you're used to the original black-and-white Picross puzzles, then the addition of color

enhances depth.

A couple of additional rules change up the standard formula, for better or for worse.

First, as opposed to traditional Picross, each individual box must be filled in –

no gaps allowed.

As a plus, this leads to more colorful pictures in the end, as strange-looking they may be.

What legitimately confused me was how the game provided clues.

The numbers in each row and column don't indicate what order the colors appear.

For example, let's take a column with a white number 1 on top, a black number 4 beneath

it, and a purple number 5 on the bottom.

You might assume that you would paint in those colors from top to bottom in that order.

However, that would be wrong, as the clues only indicate how many of each color without

specifying order or placement.

This system makes sense since giving away the order would make the puzzles too easy,

but it's hard as a player to translate clue to solution.

To add a layer of confusion, there's a rule that there must be a gap in-between colors.

So in my earlier example, you couldn't have five purple blocks in a row.

There needs to be at least one gap to split them…

unless there is a circle surrounding the number.

In this case, the inverse is true; the color blocks must touch.

It's hard to manually process this information given the clue presentation, and it only gets

more convoluted as the grid sizes grow.

The idea is to use process of elimination to correctly fill in the grid, but there were

times when I couldn't decipher the one correct answer from an array

of seemingly plausible solutions.

There is a crutch in the form of a random hint that you can activate before starting

a puzzle.

The game picks a spot and fills in the surrounding row and column, which helps immensely, especially

for the larger grids where it can be difficult to find a starting point.

Another odd design choice is that clues disappear once you've filled in the necessary quota.

While this helped me eliminate possibilities and keep track of which colors remained, one

big drawback is that the disappearing clues don't necessarily indicate you're correct.

A dreaded "X" will show if you've made a mistake.

Problem was I often had no idea how to fix my errors because the clues

weren't on-screen anymore.

I would have to erase colors just so the number clues would return, which disrupted my flow

and progress.

I would have preferred some way to keep track of my completed clues

but prevent them from disappearing.

The game has a high learning curve, but once I got the hang of it,

I found myself having fun.

It's not as easy to jump into as standard Picross or other similar titles, but it's

enjoyable to dive deep into each puzzle.

After you complete a certain number in one set, you unlock a harder set, and so on.

There are 300 puzzles – a good amount of playtime considering the more difficult ones

may take at least a half hour to solve.

You can suspend progress and come back to a puzzle at any time, though the menu bizarrely

doesn't show you which puzzles you've paused.

As a side nitpick, why can't I press the B button to back out of a menu?

Depending on your progress, you can also unlock extras, with my favorite being 3D model trophies

similar to Super Smash Bros, showcasing upgraded versions of the series' cute mascots.

Control was most comfortable using the Nintendo Switch's handheld mode and touch screen.

It may be tough to accurately color the small squares without a stylus, but the game thankfully

has an option to prevent you from painting over already filled-in areas.

The simple interface made it easy to focus on the grid, although it was hard to distinguish

colors when they were similar to each other or the background.

A helpful visual aid highlights your current color and curves the squares on the grid, which may

assist those with color blindness.

The slow, jazz lounge music is a perfect fit for mellow puzzle-solving, and it rarely got

old despite the limited soundtrack.

Piczle Colors helped me to see that puzzles can live or die based on how they present

clues to the player.

Although the clue system conveys enough information to help players eliminate incorrect answers,

the presentation and odd choices (such as disappearing clues) led to more confusion

than I would have liked.

I still enjoyed the brainteasers, but it's harder to jump in than other variations of

Picross.

Fans of cerebral logic puzzles like Sudoku may like this take on the picture crossword

formula, provided they have the patience to master Piczle Colors' unique intricacies.

I give Piczle Colors

a six out of ten.

Thank you for watching!

If you enjoyed the video, it would be awesome if you give it a Like, and Subscribe to my
