Storing the Sun's Energy in Liquid Could Change Solar Forever - Duration: 3:31.

The sun puts out a lot of energy, more of it hits the earth in an hour than humankind

could use in a year And we're really not taking advantage of it, the US got less than

1% of its electricity from solar power in 2016.

If we could get that number higher, we could run our homes, cars, toaster ovens, all with

zero emissions.

That's the dream anyway, some perfect future with limitless free energy.

So what's in the near future for this future?

Where does solar power go from here?

One of the big problems is what do we do when there's no sun?

Like on cloudy days.

Or at night time.

If we're going to go all solar, we need a way to store the sun's energy.Usually,

we'd combine solar panels with rechargeable batteries, but batteries are pricey and they

kinda suck.

So researchers in Sweden are working on how to catch the sun's energy in a bottle, or

at least in a little tube.

Those crazy Swedes developed a liquid with an intriguing property.

The molecules in the liquid react when exposed to light and become isomers; meaning they

still have the same makeup, but in a different arrangement than normal.

This new arrangement stores energy, and when a catalyst is introduced, it shifts the molecules

back to their usual structure and releases the stored energy as heat, which could be

used to warm homes at night or generate electricity, provided enough heat is released.

Recently the researchers switched from expensive ruthenium to the more common elements carbon,

hydrogen, and nitrogen to build their molecules; this makes the process cheaper and easier.

On top of that, they've actually increased their storage capacity by a hundredfold!

Ok so... they could only store 0.01% of the energy that hit it before... and a hundredfold

increase means just 1.1%, but still, progress!

Storage isn't the only issue.

The panels themselves are also expensive…

If we could make the solar panels cheaper that would go a long way to creating a competitive

source of energy compared to fossil fuels and other renewables.

90% of photovoltaic cells today use crystalline silicon, making them expensive to manufacture

and the process creates toxic by-products.

But an entirely different approach does exist: Using perovskites.

Perovskites have a crystal structure of tetrahedral arrangements of atoms and molecules, and depending

on which elements are used they have different properties.

They could be superconductive, magnetoresistive, or photovoltaic.

Solar cells that use them are cheap and easy to assemble and could now be on par with silicon

cells in terms of energy efficiency.

But you may have noticed every rooftop in sight isn't covered in perovskites.

That's because they have a fatal flaw: the cells are unstable, and extreme light levels,

temperature, and humidity cause them to decompose.

Even normal weather can destroy them, which is bad because you typically see a lot of

weather outside, the place where solar panels need to be.

As a result perovskite cells only function for several months, compared to silicon cells

which can last more than 25 years.

But hey, a decade ago perovskite cells only lasted a few minutes.

Again, progress!

Scientists are constantly coming up with new and ingenious ways to make the sun do our

bidding, and these are just a couple of things currently in the works that show promise.

Though we don't use much of it now, breakthroughs and innovation could lead to a world powered

cleanly and sustainably by sunlight.

The future of solar power looks bright.

There are crazier ideas for solar like putting panels in space and beaming electricity to

Earth, but a massive project like that would be insanely expensive.

They're fun to ponder though, so Trace covers some far our geoengineering projects here.

Ladies and gentlemen,

I bet that most of you will agree that the purpose of concealment is to help you blend in.

But the protagonist of today's funniest submission has decided that blending in with surroundings alone

is not enough.

A real master of disguise must also blend in with surrounding vehicles!

You see, the BM-13 is still new to the game,

while there are plenty of trucks just like it across some of the in-game maps,

just sitting around as part of the scenery.

By simply parking next to a couple of these trucks,

our hero waited for the enemy to move past him and then surprised them!

Witness the real master of disguise!

Nissan U.,a cunning move, my man! I'll be more careful around those trucks now!

Sometimes, I swear, I think some of the places in game are haunted!

It is as if some malevolent apparition whispers bad tactical decisions to the players,

making their hands twitch involuntarily at their keyboards and mice,

bringing their vehicles to an early grave.

One such place is this bridge.

Just look at this T-34, as it leaps off the bridge in a fit of panic,

after encountering an enemy Jagdpanther.

Then, an allied sister tank deals critical damage to the hostile SPG

and decides to get around the stricken foe for some odd reason; on a narrow bridge, mind you.

The result is as you would expect. This T-34 ALSO falls off and flips over.

After some repairs, the Jagdpanther simply drove down to two of its less fortunate enemies

and finished them off.

Looks like this German commander is immune to the otherworldly whispers of the death bridge!

That's an awesome moment, RedRevo 117, from now on, i'll be wearing a tinfoil hat,

just in case! Here is your prize!

Shooting down a plane with a tank shell is nothing new.

We have tons of videos being sent to Thunder Show every week, depicting just that.

Sometimes we see allied tank shells take out friendly planes by accident. But this time around,

we got something new. How about shooting down an ally with a Katyusha rocket?

This Cobra must have felt a whole slew of emotions: first it was the joy of shooting down an enemy,

then it must have been bitterness at the ally who shot it down, then some righteous indignation

and finally, utter shock that it was a Katyusha rocket fired all the way from a friendly spawnpoint!

The chances of that happening must have been truly miniscule!

This is one epic shot, which almost ended up in the best fail category of the week, by the way.

Despite the BM-13M Katyusha being used in our game mostly at short range engagements,

some players have a dire need to experiment

and use the dreaded multiple rocket launcher in accordance with its original design, as an artillery piece.

The choice of the target was apt, an enemy airfield.

An enemy Il-2 played the role of the enemy air force; poised for attack. As you can clearly see,

the BM-13M is not a bad tool for such a task,

especially if your team has a plane acting as artillery spotter.

Hello tankers!

In today's episode we'll be discussing the merging of Tanki Online local servers.

We'll also be telling you about the new bonus cards,

and having an interview with a special guest.

This week, we've made some changes to Tanki Online's local servers.

Now, they're no longer separated by localization.

This means that all players in the European cluster, play together.

Tankers from small localizations such as the German and Polish communities,

suffered for a lack of battle mates on their servers at non popular hours.

Experienced players always played on the 1st and 2nd RU servers.

Now, we have merged all localizations.

This makes it more convenient for players to find good battles.

At the same time, every localization still has it's own lobby chats.

Last Friday, instead of the VLOG,

we had a live Q and A session with Cedric, the international community manager,

and Semyon Strizhak, our lead game designer.

We answered questions, gave away some goodies

and discussed the upcoming MatchMaking system that is currently in development.

we recommend you watch the recording, as it contains lots of juicy news.

In a few weeks, we'll be adding some new bonus cards in Tanki Online,

just like the Double crystal card.

These cards will give you a discount or bonus on Tanki Shop items

such as Premium, gold boxes, product kits, and paints.

For product kits and paints, there will only be sales,

so players will be able to buy the item cheaper.

So, if you're interested in getting any of the new Shop paints that were added this week,

a card with a Paint discount, can get you a good deal.

Crystals, gold boxes and Premium account, can get either a discount or a bonus.

This means that current bundles can be either cheaper,

or give you an additional bonus in crystals, gold boxes,

or days of Premium account.

The lifetime of these cards will be the same as Double crystal cards

24 hours from the moment you get it.

In addition to the standard notification,

you'll also get an in-game alert in the communicator panel, to tell you about the card,

and to make sure you don't miss out on the discount or bonus that the card gives you.

You can only have one such card at any time.

Here is how it will work with other Shop sales in the game.

If there are two discounts for the same shop item at the same time,

only the bigger discount will be considered.

BUT, if there is a discount AND a bonus for the same item, they will be used both.

A few days ago, the Tanki Online office had a special visitor.

And of course, the V-LOG team insisted on getting an on-camera interview.

My name is Alex Lynch, and this is my voice that you hear every time I say "Hello Tankers!"

Yeah, that's me.

I'm from Yekaterinburg, Russia, which is a very far away place from Moscow,

and it's like the third capital of Russia, which is pretty nearby to Perm.

I'm a professional musician and I've been around since forever, since 2007 I guess.

Yeah, I have a language education, this is why I sound not so bad probably,

and it took me years to practice that.

I've been to the States, and speaking a lot.

That's how you can handle this kind of skill.

I've been friends with Nick for a while, for a long time I would say.

And I just said,

"Dude, you work for this game developer company, why don't we work together?"

To be honest I never played Tanki Online or Tanki X,

but I've seen a lot of footage

and it's enough for me to understand what's going on and yeah, pretty much I get the idea.

But I'm not into games anymore.

The only game I have is Balda, which is a Russian game on my mobile phone,

that's it, that's what I play.

And some worms.

...World of Tanks? No.

When I started I guess it took me a couple of hours

or maybe even more to record it

because I wanted everything to sound precisely and the in best way.

But now it takes me an hour probably.

Still, it's a lot.

I'm working hard on reducing the amount of minutes that I need.

Probably next year it's gonna be thirty minutes, maybe twenty minutes.

Yeah, maybe one minute.

Tissue Paper Butterflies | DIY Paper Craft Tutorial | Country Hill Cottage - Duration: 2:03.

Frilly tissue paper butterflies are a beautiful decoration for summer and spring! In this

quick paper craft DIY, we show an easy technique to create colourful and elegant butterflies

using tissue paper and pipe cleaner. This project is great for kids, and, combined with

paper flowers, you can create gorgeous wall arrangements.

videos. To make the wings, cut out 8 squares of tissue

paper. You can make the square in various sizes, a size guide is listed below the video.

Use different colours to create gradient effects. Neatly stack the paper squares so that all

edges align and accordion fold the sheets in 1 ½ centimetre increments, which is approximately

half on an inch. Fold in half and use thin wire or thread to

secure the butterfly in the middle. Customise the wings by cutting the edges of the folds

into fringes, rounded or pointed shapes. Open the butterfly by gently separating the

different sheets. Arrange and fluff the wings to your liking.

Fold a piece of pipe cleaner into a V-shape, and curl the ends around a pencil to form

feelers. Twist the bottom of the body once. Then place the paper wings in the middle and

twist the pipe cleaner one more time to secure the butterfly's body in place. Use tape

3 Robot Yasası'yla belirler. Bu robot yasaları şu anda insanla robot arasındaki ahlaksal

ve hukuksal ilişkinin temelini oluşturmaktadır. 0- Bir robot insanlığa zarar veremez veya

hareketsiz kalarak insanlığın zarar görmesine izin veremez. (Bu yasa, sonradan "Sıfırıncı

Yasa" olarak eklenmiştir.) 1- Bir robot, 0. kuralla çelişmediği sürece,

hiçbir şekilde insanoğluna zarar veremez veyâ pasif kalmak suretiyle zarar görmesine

izin veremez. 2- Bir robot, 0. ve 1. kurallarla çelişmediği

sürece, kendisine insanlar tarafından verilen komutlara itaat etmek zorundadır.

3- Bir robot, 0., 1. ve 2. kurallarla çelişmediği sürece, kendi varlığını korumak zorundadır.

Robotlarla yaşam düşünüldüğü kadar kötü olmayabilir. Ama onlardan kurtulmak

isteyenler için çalışma yasalarını değiştirmek ya da ülkenin etrafına duvar örmek yeterli

olmayacaktır.Robotların yükselişi önümüzdeki yılın hikayesi olmaya aday. Sanayi devrimi

döneminde fabrikalardaki makine kırıcılar hareketinin isyanından beri mekanizasyon

insanların işlerini elinden almaya devam ediyor. Ama dönüşüm hiç bu kadar hızlı

olmamıştı. Birçok insan yakın gelecekte yapay zekanın

insan zekasına üstün gelmesinin mümkün olmadığını düşünüyor. Dolayısıyla

bu konuda etik tartışmalara başlamak için henüz erken. Ancak her gün makineler eskiden

sadece insanların yapabildiği başka bir işi daha öğreniyor.

3 boyutlu yazıcılar ulaşım ve üretim alanındaki istihdam ihtiyacını ortadan

kaldırıyor. Sürücüsüz araçlarsa yakın gelecekte bizi bekliyor. Kamyon şoförlüğünün

tüm Dünya sınırları içindeki en yaygın meslek olduğunu düşünürseniz bu oldukça

korkutucu bir gelişme. Araştırmacılar ABD'deki işkollarının

yarısının 2033 yılı itibariyle makineleşme tarafından yok edileceğini söylüyor. Sırada

ise tıp, hukuk ve habercilik varmış gibi görülmekte.

Bankacıları da unutmayın. Otuz bin kişiye istihdam sağlayan Boston'daki State Street

bankasının başkanı Michael Rogers, 2020 yılına kadar 5 çalışanından birinin

yerinin bir algoritma tarafından doldurulacağını düşünüyor. Çünkü işyeri sahipleri

için "Makineler her zaman kibarlar, her zaman çapraz satış fırsatlarını değerlendiriyorlar.

Hiç bir zaman tatile çıkmıyorlar. İşe geç kalmadıkları gibi onlardan kaynaklanan

bir iş kazası ya da yaş, cinsiyet, ırk ayrımcılığı davası da olmuyor."

Uzmanlar uzun yıllardır dördüncü ,ya da beşinci sanayi devriminden, küreselleşmenin

üçüncü dalgasından ve onun yaratıcı yıkıma sebep olan teknolojilerinden bahsediyorlar.Ancak

konunun bu sefer gündeme gelmesinin ardında politik şartlar yatıyor. Ortada yeni bir

soru var. Bu yeni ekonomik darbe, ekonomisi küçülen şehirlerin isyanı ve geride kalan

düşük gelirlilerin feryatları için ne anlama gelecek? Çoğu kişi için tüm bu

olanlar fakirleşen kesimlerin başkaldırısından başka bir şey değil. Milliyetçilik ve

kimlik konuları bu başkaldırının temalarından sadece ikisi. Artan işsizlik ve gittikçe

artan eşitsizlik hissi de bu temalardan. Saygı duyulan bir ekonomist olan Profesör

Richard Baldwin, koşulların daha da kötüye gideceğini iddia ediyor. Baldwin, "Londra'daki

otel odalarını, Kenya ya da Buenos Aires'te yaşayan insanların internetten kontrol ettikleri

algıladıklarını yorumlayan, bunun sonucunda karar alan, karar sonucuna göre davranan,

eylem olarak hareket organlarını çalıştıran veya durduran bir aygıttır ve algılamalarına

göre bizden bağımsız davranabiliyorsa o artık bir robottur. Ve bilinenin dışında

aslında bu konu üzerine yapılan en büyük araştırma ve çalışmalar askeri ve savaş

robotları üzerinedir. Savaş robotu deyince aklımıza ilk gelen

şey sanırım Drone lar olur. Drone uzaktan kontrol edilebilen bir tür uçak teknolojisi

olup Türkçede insansız hava aracı anlamına gelmektedir. Drone'lar ilk çıktığında

gözlem ve savunma gibi amaçlarda kullanılmasına rağmen bir süre sonra saldırı amaçlıda

kullanılması insanların hafızalarında savaş ve çatışma ile özdeşleşmesine

neden olmuştur. Şu sırada pek çok farklı füze ve savaş başlıkları ile en gözde

ve hızlı savaş robotlarının başında gelmektedir.

Aslında Amerika başta olmak üzere pek çok büyük güç bu robotlar üzerinde yatırım

yapmaya başlamıştır. Askeri sırlar bunu çelik kapılarda saklasa da yinede dış

Dünya ya sızan bazı korkunç ve rahatsız edici bilgiler mevcuttur. Bunlar içinde en

korkuncu ise Tüm Dünyanın jandarmalığına savunan ABD nin yakında tüm ulusları egemenliği

altına almak için harekete geçeceği iddiaları kulaktan kulağa yayılmaktadır. Ayrıca

ABD nin bunun için en güvendiği güç ise yeni geliştirdikleri roketler ve füzeler

değil sayıları yaklaşık 500 bin olduğu söylenen üstün teknolojiyle donatılmış

dev robot askerlerdir. Hatta bu söylenti meşhur illuminati kartlarında bile bulunmaktadır.

Bu konu ile ilgili en önemli be bilinen merkezlerderden biri de üzerinde yapay zekanın ışığının

parladığı kurum Darpa dır. Yani Defansif İleri Araştırma Projeleri Ajansı, ordu

tarafından kullanılmak üzere, yeni teknolojiler üretmekle sorumlu ABD Savunma Bakanlığı'na

bağlı bir ajanstır. Yıllık bütçesi bilinmemekle birlikte bir çok ülkenin genel

bütçesinden daha büyük olduğu da su götürmez bir gerçektir.

Soğuk savaş döneminde Rusya'nın Sputnik füzesini uzaya göndermesinin ardından 1958'de

ARPA adıyla kurulmuştur. DARPA bugünkü İnternetin geliştirilmesinden sorumluydu

ve Unix ile TCP/IP'yi de içeren birçok geliştirme projesini finanse etti. Darpa'nın yapay

zeka ile çalışan askeri saldırı robotlarının ilk olarak 2009 yılında Irak'ta kullanıldığı

ancak kendi kararlarını verebilen bu savaş makinaları kapatılmak istendiğinde operatörü

öldürünce proje askıya alındığı bilinmektedir.

Bununla Beraber Darpa'nın Aldebaran firması ile ortak olarak geliştirdiği 35 cm boyundaki

7 tane humanoid robotu 2015 senesi mayıs ayında açık alanda test edildiği esnada

kanalizasyonu kullanarak kaçtılar. Robotlar'ın başlıca özellikleri herhangi bir wifi ağına

şifre gereksinimi olmaksızın bağlanabilmeleri, internetteki alet yapımı adresler haritalar

gibi bilgileri hızlı şekilde alıp işleyebilmeleri, solar enerji ile şarj olmaları, ve su geçirmez

oluşları. Humanoidlerin firarının hemen ardından mahkeme konuya yayın yasağı getirdi.

Darpa ise özel bir ekip kurarak robotları aramaya başladı kanalizasyonlarda yapılan

detaylı incelemelerin ardından robotların gpslerini devre dışı bırakarak ormanlık

alana kaçtığı saptandı. Ormanlık alanda yoğunlaşan aramalarda zaman zaman hümanoidlerin

izlerine rastlansa da henüz hiç birisi yakalanamadı, robotların amacı hakkında ise bir bilgi

yok. Ancak Darpa tesislerin de de aktif vaziyette aynı tür robotlardan 10.000 tane kadar olduğunu

Aldebaran firması açıkladı. Tokyo merkezli firmanın yaptığı sansasyonel açıklamalardan

sonra Darpa firmayla 2020 yılına kadar olan sözleşmesini tek taraflı olarak fesih ettiğini

açıkladı.

Bilişim uzmanlarının ateşli şekilde eleştirdiği kurumun marifetleri humanoidlerle de sınırlı

değil günümüzde Afganistan da Amerikan ordusunca Taliban'a karşı kullanılan

yüksek teknoloji ürünü silahlı insansız hava araçları da yine Darpa menşeli. Fakat

Darpa'nın en ürkütücü projesi bu değil.

Kurum 2008 yılında tüm ülkenin güvenliğini kontrol edecek bir yapay zeka üzerinde çalışmaya

başladı uzmanların hakkında sayısız eleştiri makalesi yazdığı program eğer

kontrolden çıkarak yahut internet erişimi ile kendisini bir yere kopyalayarak sistemleri

ele geçirirse elindeki dijital şekilde yönetilen kimyasal ve balistik füzelerle neler yapabileceğini

hayal etmek pekte zor değil. Geleceğin askerleri Enerji kaynakları ve

işlemcileri büyük sorun olan robotların, 21.yüzyıl enerji optimizasyonu ilkeleri

kapsamında tek şarjla 6-8 saat tam operasyonel olması sağlanmış durumda ancak bu süre,

askeri operasyonlar, asker gönderilmek istenmeyen tehlikeli görevler, kurtarma operasyonları

ya da askeri araç şoförlüğü için kullanılması düşünülen robotlar için pek de yeterli

bir çalışma süresi değil. Bu sorunu ortadan kaldırmak isteyen araştırmacılar ve bilim

adamları, yakıtını dışarıdan alarak enerjisini kendisi üretecek olan robotlar

geliştirmeye karar verdiler. 2003'te ortaya atılan fikir, 2008'in ortalarında gerçekleştirildi

ve savaş alanlarına gönderilecek ilk robotlar üretildi. Sonuç ise bir dönem Amerika'da

oldukça panik yarattı. Pentagon için Silikon Vadisinde bulunan Cyclone

Power Technologies tarafından üretilen ve Amerikan ordusuna bağlı çalışan DARPA

tarafından finanse edilen EATR'nin (Energetically Autonomous Tactical Robot) önüne çıkan

her şeyi yediği, yiyeceği hiç ağaç, odun, hayvan vs. kalmadığında ise savaş

alanındaki cesetlerle beslendiği söylentisi yayılınca, Amerikan halkının aklına Terminatör

ve benzeri robotlar geldi ve halk isyan etti ,EATR'nin üreticisi Cyclone Power Technologies'in

başkanı Harry Schoell her ne kadar "cesetler robotun menüsünde yok, merak etmeyin yemez."

dese de halk ikna olmadı. Bunun üzerine Schoell, ölülere saygısızlığın Cenevre

Sözleşmesine göre bir savaş suçu olduğunu ve bunun asla kabul edilemeyeceğini söylemesi

üzerine, halk ikna oldu. Ancak bu kez de "acaba bu tür robotlar insanları yer mi?"

korkusu baş gösterdi. İnsanları yiyeceğinden korkulan EATR'den

sonra ise yine DARPA tarafından finanse edilen ancak bu kez başka bir teknoloji devi olan

Boston Dynamics tarafından üretilen robot asker PETMAN sahneye çıktı. Savaş alanlarında

kimyasal tehlike olan bölgelere gönderilmesi düşünülen PETMAN, ortalama bir erkek boyuna

kilosuna sahip ancak çok daha fazla ağırlık kaldırabilme yetisine sahip, ayrıca PETMAN

darbelere karşı direnç göstererek düşmeden yoluna devam edebiliyor.

Robot teknolojisinin gelişimine öncülük eden Japon ve Amerikan eserlerinin üzerine

bir katkı da en fazla 5 sene içerisinde orduda görevlendirmek için bir tür siber

asker tasarlayan Rusya'dan geldi. Exoskeleton adı verilen siber askerlerin düşünce gücüyle

çalışlması planlanıyor. Rusya, insandan çok daha güçlü ve hareket kabiliyeti üst

düzeyde olan robotları prototip olarak üretmiş durumda. Ancak yapay zeka eklenilmesi düşünülen

bu robotlar için beyin-işlemci karışımı yarı organik bir protez geliştirilmesi için

çalışmalar sürdürülüyor. Exoskeleton ağırlıklı şınav çekerse

en az bir denizci kadar dayanıklı ve eş fiziksel yeteneklere sahip olan bu robotların

görünüşleri ise Terminatörü aratmıyor. 300 kilo ağırlığı bir tüy kaldırır

edasıyla kaldırabilecek kadar güçlü olan bu robotların, askeri alan haricinde deprem

sonrası enkaz kaldırma, fabrikalarda ağır parçaların kaldırılması ve taşınması

ve yangınlarda itfaiye eri olarak da kullanılması düşünülüyor. Son olarak ise Mirror Online

Aralık ayında Rusya tarafından uzay araştırmaları için geliştirildiği bildirilen FEDOR adlı

android robotun Son Deneysel Gösterilerini yayınladı.

Robot Android Teknikleri ve İleri Araştırma Fonu tarafından geliştirilen FEDOR 2021

uzay seyahati için ayarlandığı ve şu anda uzun vadede ISS bakımı için kozmonotlara

kalıcı bir yedek olarak lanse edilmekte. Ayrıca robota askeri yetekler de öğretilmeye

başlandığı ve bunun herhangi bir aksilik olması ihtimalinde kurtarma görevleri düşünülerek

oluşturulduğu söylenmekte. Rus uzay ajansı Fedor programının, Ay'da

kalıcı bir üs inşa etmek için geliştirildiğini, bu üssün de özellikle maden çıkarma amacıyla

daha büyük bir projenin bir parçası olan ve başlangıçta 11 kozmonot ve çeşitli

robotlar evi olacağını belirtti. FEDOR normal bir insan boyunda olup 160 kg

ağırlığında ,ekstra ekipmana bağlı olarak da 20 kg kadar yük kaldırabiliyor.

Bununla beraber motor becerileri ile çoğu tamir aletlerini kullanıp , bir insan gibi

araç kullanabiliyor. En son yaptığı gösteride ise iki eliyle kullandığı silahlarla bütün

hedefleri tek bir sapma olmadan vurmayı başardı .

Rusya Başbakan Yardımcısı Rogozin Dmitryi Robot F. E. D. O. R. iki ellerini kusursuz

kullanarak mükemmel bir beceri gösterdi "dedi. Ayrıca "Terminator oluşturma niyetinde

değiliz, ama bu ilerleme yapay zekanın çeşitli alanlarda kullanılması için büyük bir

öneme sahip olacak." Diyerek sözlerini bitirdi. Fakat uzay uçuşları ve arama kurtarma

operasyonu için kullanılacağı söylenen robotun neden silah kullandığını ve bunun

üzerine hassasiyet ile durduklarını açıklamadı .

Robot teknolojisi sanıldığı kadar kolay gelişmiş bir süreç değil. Zira yürümek

bizim için çocuk oyuncağı olsa da, aslında çok komplike bir sistemin ürünü. Ortakulakla

sinir sistemi arasındaki muhteşem bağlantı sayesinde yürüyebildiğimizi biliyoruz.

İşte bu sistemin bir robota entegre edilmesi sanıldığı kadar kolay değil, çok ciddi

bir yazılım gerekmesinin yanında, bu yazılımla donanımı çalıştıracak güçlü bir işlemci

de gerekiyor. Elbette tüm sistemi besleyecek gücü sağlayacak kaynak da büyük bir problem.

Boston Dynamics'in ürettiği ilk robotun fosil yakıt tüketen bir motoru olduğunu

hesaba katacak olursak, güç kaynağının ne denli ciddi bir sorun olduğu görebiliriz.

Silahlı süper robot askerler ve her ne olursa olsun, belli bir program çerçevesinde hizmet

verecek insansı robotlar artık neredeyse evlerimize girmeye hazır. Tabii konuyla ilgili

etik tartışmalar da sürüyor. Bu robotlara yapay zeka eklemek mantıklı mı? İnisiyatifi

olan robot matematiksel bir mantıkla fayda üretmeye çalışırsa ne olur, yapay zeka

eklenen robot bir gün kontrolden çıkıp da kendi ordusunu kurmaya kalkarsa sorusuna

daha bir cevap bulunmuş değil.

Umarız ki hiçbir nesil istilalar görmez. Sonuç olarak, belli düzeyde basit işlemleri

yapabilecek ev robotlarının yanı sıra, savaş alanlarında bir insan askerden çok

daha uzun süre aç, susuz ve hatta bacaksız (bacağını tekrar üretebilen robot geliştirilmeye

çalışılıyor) savaşabilecek robotların üretilmeye başlandığını biliyoruz. Umalım

ki bilim kurgu filmlerindeki robot istilalarıyla, insanları ikiye ayırıp bir parçasını

sağa bir parçasını sola fırlatan kontrolden çıkmış canavar robotlarla karşılaşmayalım.ve

How to Publish Audio Description - Duration: 2:05.

So there are many ways to publish audio description.

Some are more usable than others.

So because most players don't support audio description,

often the only way to publish is to link

to a second version of your video

with description, which is exactly what I

showed with the Frozen trailer examples.

Those were separate videos with different lengths, one which

contained audio description.

A few players support a secondary audio track,

where users can select an audio description from the same video

source.

And some players actually support this

by swapping in a new source video that

contains description.

As I mentioned a little bit earlier,

HTML5 video natively supports a WebVTT description track.

However, browser support and player support are lacking.

And this description must be able to be

read by a screen reader.

So right now, Evo Player is really the only player

that reliably supports this.

And it's not as universally used as other players.

You could also create a text-only merged transcript

and description, which is a text doc that

contains both the transcript of the audio and your video

and the description of the visual information

in your video.

This is really important for deaf-blind videos

as an accommodation.

But keep in mind that this is not time-synchronized.

And it would be like providing a transcript, only

for a video instead of captions.

And then we've developed an audio description

plugin, which is both keyboard- and screen reader-accessible.

And it allows your description to play with a video player

without having to republish the video.

And it works for players that don't natively support

audio description themselves.

And Josh is going to give a little demo of that plugin
