CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY SMOOTHIE - HEALTHY SMOOTHIE TUESDAY - Duration: 2:58.
Hello and welcome to smoothie Tuesday on Steve's kitchen and you read the title
right, it is a chocolate raspberry smoothie but it's still pretty healthy,
actually it happens to be vegan. So if you've got any vegan friends out there
you can share this one across to them. Just come and have a look what's going
in. Now as we're doing a smoothie we're going with frozen raspberries, I've got
two cups of delicious frozen raspberries. We're going to sweeten this with some
dates, so I've got five or six dates there, half a cup of ice. I've got a
couple of tablespoons of dark cocoa, the carrier or liquid in here is an
unsweetened almond milk and just because I can, I'm going to add a couple of
tablespoons of a vanilla protein powder. So let's pop our raspberries into our
blender one cup and two cups. Now two tablespoons
of dark cocoa and that's an unsweetened cocoa of course, two cups of almond milk,
there's the first one and don't forget this is unsweetened almond milk. Now I'm
going to add some protein powder in here, it's a vanilla protein powder, a couple
of dessert spoons should be just about nice. Got half a cup of ice and to
sweeten it we've got six dates in there. Pop our lid on nice and secure, turn our
blender on. Now here's a button I've never used before actually on this
machine, smoothie rather than green smoothie. Let's give it a go.
Now that has blended beautifully and smooth I'm just going to pour it into one
of these beautiful little, these are very popular now these little glasses. Now
these ingredients make 36 smoothies, only kidding.
Let's pour this into a proper sized glass, that's a lovely rich looking
smoothie. So it makes quite easily 2 decent-sized smoothies, I hope you're
enjoying the smoothie series and I've thrown a bit of chocolate in there just
to get you salivating a bit. Anyway here goes let's give this a try, Cheers!
hmm oh yeah, so overwhelmingly I'm getting raspberries, I've got that
chocolate or cocoa coming through there and I can tell the dates have sweetened
this a little bit too. This is absolutely delicious, if you decide to give it a go

-When I tell people I'm a professional pumpkin carver, they are often very surprised.
I like to bring a bit of magic into every piece that I sculpt,
and I like people to look at it and really question how it's possible.
Anything that you can imagine, you can create in a pumpkin.
-A cow, a kitty, a cow.
-Let's think of a zoo animal. How 'bout a red panda?
-Yeah! That looks like a cat at first.
-For the past six years, I've been carving at the Bronx Zoo every weekend in October.
It's starting to look like a red panda.

-People relate to materials that they themselves have carved.
So, we get a lot of very childlike responses from the grown-ups,
and a lot of squeals of delight from the kids.
-Now this is much wetter. - [squeals] It's so wet.
It looks so real.
-Raining pumpkins.
-Our theme this year is animals that have either been brought back
from the brink of extinction or taken off the endangered species list.
And, we are carving the Przewalski's horse.
So this is a piece that I just finished up. I sculpt in a lot of different mediums.
In studying wildlife anatomy for sculpture, I've also done some taxidermy work,
and a lot of people would find that rather creepy.
Despite the fact that I work on a lot of cute products,
there's also a bit of a dark side to me.
I work on tiny things and giant things.
Most people think of Jack-O-Lanterns when you think of carving pumpkins.
You know, that's a lot of fun. But, my style is to build pumpkins.
It's very freeing, working on something that doesn't last.
You can let it go and improve and move on.
-This piece has five pumpkins about 150 pounds a piece.
You're looking at like 750 pounds of pumpkin.
-Got it?
It's an incredible challenge.
The weight of these things is unbelievable,
so you add the slipperiness and the fact that it's round,
there are some pretty exciting accidents that can happen.
No, no, that's fine. Just fill in that, and then we're carving into it.
Carving pumpkins can be very intense.
It can be frustrating; it can be exciting.
-Oh, it's a horse!
-That's something that's really fun to play with, when it comes to Halloween.
The season is ephemeral, just like we are.
There's a lot of fun things that you can do at Halloween.
Everything can have fangs and it can be threatening and that's still fun.
