Youtube daily Dec 20 2017

As you guys may know every year in December google announces the most popular searches

over the past year.

It reminds us of all the major events that have happened and the things that really impacted

our world and that's what were going to be talking about today.

Hey youtube im court mcginley and welcome back to the most amazing top 5.

Before we get started I want to know- What do you think is the craziest – most memorable

-or most exciting thing that's happened in 2017.

Let me know your answers down in the comment.

One last thing before we get started I just want to remind all of you to please subscribe

to our awesome channel- we bring you guys videos 6 days a week.

Don't forget to give this video a big thumbs up and let me know down in the comments what

other top 5 lists you like to see me do.

Alright without further a due lets get started on our list of the top 5 most searched things

on google 2017.

--Starting off in our number 5 spot- Meghan Markle-oh Meghan markle- imagine one day your

just doing your thing- playing a character on a popular tv show- and the next youre engaged

to a prince.

What a life.

Meghan is most likely on this list because she and prince Harry recently announced their

engagement.

So lets ,learn about how they got there.

As you know Meghan and prince Harry met in London through mutual friends in July of 2016.

Then in October they were beginning to be seen out on the town together.

In November Harry confirmed that they were officially dating.

In January Meghan was introduced to the family.

In September Meghan et the queen.

And then as we know on November 27th the couple announced their engagement.

The couple is said to be getting married on May 19th 2018.

Very exciting.

--In at number 4- Matt Lauer-Matt lauer was an American television journalist.

And hosted the today show from 1997 to 2017.

NBC fired Matt after an employee filed a complaint about inappropriate sexual behaviour in the

workplace.

As if this wasn't shocking enough- after it happened NBC News Chairman Andrew Lack

released this statement- While it is the first complaint about his behaviour in the over

20 years hes been at NBC News- we were also presented with reason to believe this may

not have been an isolated incident.

The attorney for the woman whose accusation of inappropriate sexual behaviour is terrified

and living in constant fear of being tracked down.

Theres basically a hunt underway to find out who she is.

--At number 3- iPhone X-Ooh yes the iPhone X.

The newest iPhone was announced on September 12th 2017 alongside with the iPhone 8 and

iPhone 8 plus.

It was released n November 3rd and you would think everyone went out to purchase one.

The first month of sales were much lower then expected.

But with Christmas right around the corner the company was expecting to them to be selling

out but that hasn't been the case.

But lets learn a little bit more about this phone- its all screen- it has a 5.8 inch super

retina screen- the display employs new techniques and technology to precisely follow the curves

of the design- all the way to the elegantly rounded corners- the cameras and sensors enable

face ID- it has the most durable glass ever in a smartphone- has wireless charging and

its water and dust resistant.

--Coming in at our number 2 spot- iPhone 8-as I mentioned these phones were announced along

with the iPhone X on September 12th of t his year.

Besides the addition of a glass back the designs of the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are largely similar

to that of the previous models.

But some of the notable changes include the addition of wireless charging- a faster processor-

and improved camera displays.

This phone does share most of the internal hardware with the iPhone X.

--And in at number 1- Hurricane Irma-You all remember what devastation this hurricane caused.

It was an extremely powerful hurricane – In terms of maximum sustained winds it was said

to be the strongest observed in the Atlantic since 2005 when Wilma hit.

It the first recorded category 5 hurricane to strike the leeward island.

It impacted several islands in the Caribbean Sea and Florida.

The storm stretched 650 miles from east to west.

It hit between August 30th and September 11th.

It caused 100 billion dollars in damages- making it the 4th costliest tropical cyclone

on record.

And it killed a total of 134 people.

It turned streets into rivers- ripped down power lines- up rooted trees and cut off costal

communities.

Irma began as a weak wave of low pressure accompanied by disorganized showers and thunderstorms

which emerged off the west African coast on August 27th.

Then Irma formed into a tropical storm in the far Eastern Atlantic Ocean on the morning

of August 30th.

It was a truly heart breaking thing to have happen.

And now things are just trying to be restored.

And there you have it that's our list of the top 5 most searched things on google 2017.

What Will It Take To Beat Trump The Case for a Generic Democrat - Duration: 3:47.

What Will It Take To Beat Trump?

The Case for a Generic Democrat

Democrats, still reeling from last year's wipeout, have been embroiled in a debate over

how to fix what went wrong in 2016.

Should they tack left or center?

Woo white working-class voters with an ambitious economic agenda or double down on the base

by blitzing Donald Trump on bigotry?

Prioritize health care?

Inequality?

Oligarchy?

Democracy?

The Doug Jones upset in deep-red Alabama may have just rendered these debates irrelevant.

The Senate's newest member did not embrace single-payer health care, free college or

a $15 minimum wage.

He did not swerve right on abortion and guns.

In fact, he didn't have any signature policy proposals at all.

What Jones did was take off the shelf the most pallid Democratic talking points—"

quality, affordable health care," "college must be affordable," "I believe in science,"

"discrimination cannot be tolerated"—and campaigned with a pleasant, inoffensive demeanor.

He was boring.

He was safe.

He was Mr. Generic Democrat.

And it worked.

That should make Democrats think twice about what they should be looking for in a 2020

presidential nominee.

Most of Democrats' Wednesday-morning quarterbacking after last year's election presumed that

to maximize base turnout and impress swing voters, same-old, same-old wouldn't do.

One way or another, Democrats at least needed to be "bold."

But the downside risk of boldness is polarization; what fires up one group can easily anger another.

The decidedly not-bold Jones campaign pulled off a better trick: firing up the Democratic

base while putting the Republican base to sleep.

By being a Generic Democrat, Jones didn't call much attention to himself and instead,

let the harsh spotlight remain on Roy Moore's pile of controversies.

Jones' career milestone of successfully prosecuting two Ku Klux Klan members for the

deadly 1963 Birmingham church bombing may have aided with critical African-American

turnout.

But his public positions on current civil rights issues were thin and did not go beyond

party platform boilerplate.

And a Washington Post sampling of Alabama black voters found many showed up primarily

to stop Moore, not reward Jones: "[They] did not feel inspired to show up for a candidate

[in Jones] who they felt did not aggressively pursue their vote.

They were moved to wait in line — some people for hours — with the goal of keeping Moore

from winning."

If Jones didn't strain in his outreach to Alabama's African-Americans, neither did

he try to pull a "Sister Souljah," publicly breaking with the left on an issue like criminal

justice reform, to impress Alabama conservatives.

If he dared to challenge party orthodoxy, the Democratic base might not have turned

out in force.

Conversely, if he had campaigned with more left-wing edge, he might have convinced several

thousand additional Republicans that they should set aside their misgivings about their

own nominee, and get out of the house to stop Jones.

Jones stayed within the confines of genericness, and got the turnout mix he needed.

Various progressive groups that have pressed the Democratic Party to shift leftward, such

as MoveOn, Indivisible and the Working Families Party, have taken some credit for pouring

resources into Alabama and boosting base turnout (just as they did after the gubernatorial

victory of Virginia's low-key Ralph Northam).

But that only proves that activists on the left are perfectly willing and able to get

behind a Generic Democrat, and tacitly ally with moderates, to defeat a distasteful Republican.

No boldness necessary.

Trump Jr. suggests conspiracy of people who don't want to let 'America be America' - Duration: 2:19.

Trump Jr. suggests conspiracy of people who don't want to let 'America be America'

President Donald Trump's eldest son suggested Tuesday that the investigation around his

father's campaign has been fueled by government higher-ups who have conspired to block the

President's agenda.

"There is, and there are, people at the highest levels of government that don't want to let

America be America," Donald Trump Jr. told a gathering of young conservative activists

in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Trump Jr.'s freewheeling comments before the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit came

after he spoke earlier this month before congressional investigators and as some on the right, including

him, increasingly attack the Department of Justice's special counsel probe, alleging

it is politically compromised.

In his remarks Tuesday, Trump Jr. railed against special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation

and attacked the media's coverage of the Russia story, saying the ongoing probe was emblematic

of the kind of "rigged system" the President had railed against during the campaign.

"My father talked about a rigged system throughout the campaign, and people were like, 'Oh, what

are you talking about?' " Trump Jr. said.

"But it is.

And you're seeing it."

Earlier this month, CNN reported that former FBI Director Mueller had removed FBI agent

Peter Strzok from the special counsel team after an investigation turned up anti-Trump

text messages Strzok had exchanged during the presidential campaign.

In one exchange in August 2016, Strzok wrote, "There's no way he gets elected -- but I'm

afraid we can't take that risk.

It's like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you're 40."

Trump Jr. asked those before him to "imagine what would happen if we rolled back the clock

to 2008" and a politically compromised group of FBI officials sought to undermine a potential

Obama presidency.

"What do you think would happen?"

Trump Jr. asked.

"Do you think the media would cover that?

Yeah.

Do you think it would be brushed under the rug like, 'Oh, it's nothing.

It doesn't mean anything.'

There'd be revolution in the streets.

So I'm glad that this is coming out now, because it is good, because real people have to see

this."

Twitter Analytics: How to Anticipate Trending Topics to Promote Business [Advanced] - Duration: 7:41.

Eight out of ten blog we searched including ours try to answer the one million dollar question

What is the next trend in social media marketing? Yeah?

I know we've already searched a lot about this and by now you already know the answer

But just make sure we're in the same page,

eight out of ten blogs we search including ours say that live streaming videos and

Influential marketing are going to rock in upcoming years however with so many blogs videos pictures

Gifts and cats being posted every day. How are you going to stand out? Well? This is when you need

analytics

Hey there I'm Daniel I work as video marketing producer at Statusbrew

This is the first of a series of videos about social media analytics today

We are going to cover Twitter analytics, and how you can make smart decisions based on data

But why do we need analytics in the first place?

Well if you are watching this video you're probably facing a situation like this

you have worked hard to produce your content prepared tons of posts to several social media platforms

But when you finally publish everything you discover that nobody's commenting or liking or sharing your content

The question popping in your head right now should be

Gosh, is my content that bad?

You are not alone truth is social media organic Reach is dying take for example this post made two years ago

Now see this another post made two weeks ago despite having doubled the numbers of followers

we now have 10 times less engagement that means this time to start targeting the right people and this is where

Analytics can help. That is nice to do when you're rewriting blogs

But it's game-changing when you're making business. Because you're not making any decisions without data support in 2018

Are you? so let's have a look at how you can use Twitter analytics to improve that content accuracy first things first

Let's see how you can access Twitter analytics. From your homepage click at your picture profile and then click on analytics

This is the analytics page of Twitter. The homepage is an overview of the last 28 days

This first section shows how your account has been evolving in this period know that tweet impressions

Gives you the number of times your tweet were shown in a timeline in the last 28 days

When you scroll down you can see the summary of the past months and see the tweets

mentions and replies where you gain in the high number of engagements

The first question you can answer analyzing in this very first page is what kind of tweets

mentions and answers gaining the higher number of engagements you want to make sure

That include those elements in your next tweets. In general tweets mention other people, also called shout outs

Including hashtags and trending topics usually gain more engagement. Rule here is simple: Focus on

what is working tweets including videos pictures tips also gain good attention. These are great if you're an artist are a photographer tryna gain exposure

Now let's click on view tweet activity right below your top tweet

This is a summary of these statistics of your tweet that received a higher engagement

Engagement accounts for every interaction that we'd received if someone likes your tweets

That's an interaction if someone retweets that's another interaction

In the social media industry it's known that is better have only a few highly engaged

followers then thousands of followers with nearly no engagement

that's because engaged followers are more likely to be loyal to your brand defend your brand when some bad comments come up and

ultimately buying from you. Next section is tweet section at this section

You can see the evolution of the impressions per day over a period of 28 days.

You can also change the time period to 7 days or any other period you prefer?

Scrolling down a page you see a list of the latest tweets and the metrics of impressions and engagements next to it

Engagement rate is calculated by dividing the total numbers of engagements per the total numbers of impressions of a tweet.

Twitter ranks tweets for the total numbers of impressions

Now let's see the audience section this section gives you more detailed information about your followers

You can see the evolution of the followers over time

What is their major interests and the gender?

Majority the section demographics will show the age of your audience where they live and what the language they speak

It's nice to understand for example that you have lots of followers from unexpected

Country like Turkey it might be interesting to produce some content targeting this specific group

The lifestyle section will show the major interests of your audience you can discover that their major

Interest is something that is not related to the goals of your company in this case you're probably not targeting correctly.

The mobile Footprint will show the companies that takes care of your audience internet connection

And it also shows the devices your followers use to access Twitter

This might be very useful especially If you are sharing links pictures and videos

if you discover that your followers majorly access Twitter via mobile

Make sure that your content is mobile friendly a nice feature in the section is the ad comparison audience

You can compare your followers with the personas available for all the Twitter followers and see

if you are targeting correctly. For example imagine that you are targeting a small business owner

But when you compare your followers stats with this particular persona

You might realize that their age and interests are different from your followers

Hmm, this is kind of suspicious

this can work as a reality check to see how well you're tracking your audience and take action to retarget.

You can do some reverse engineering to see how your competitors are targeting this can come in handy to better

understand who your target really is. You can use our platforms to get more details about your

followers and competitors such as posting periodicity and reach. The next is event section

Section can gives you cool insights about the upcoming events happening in the world

The first page you will show the trending events that people are talking about and some events might surprise you

If we view some details for the New Year's holiday for example you can find that youngsters are much more excited

about it than other people and that New Year's is much more popular in America than any other part of the world

That means that making posts about New Year's is good

But only for your targeting boosters in America, otherwise you might be wasting your time

The events section might also give you a nice calendar for the most commented events in the world

and you can filter that by date type and country now think about this

How do you think NIKE is always trending in all sports events? Simple they keep tracking of the upcoming

Events and they prepare all the content before the event to happen.

The events listed here are the trending topics of tomorrow. Let's take the hypothetical example of Brazil and Spain

disputing the World Cup Finals companies like Nike and redbull prepare videos images

Tweets and posts long time before the finals these companies are talking about the World Cup

Even before the events to start because they have anticipated the event

If you want to be top of mind you can use this feature to anticipate events and trending topics

You can see the upcoming sports events movies and even the recurring trending topics as the famous

#MotivationMonday

Confirming the fact that people do need motivation in Mondays

Another great trick is to find a recurring trending topic that suits you. So you'll always have something nice and friendly to post.

Well, that's it for now! I wish you good luck in your analytics! If you have any questions, please leave a comment

I'll be happy to answer. Visit our blog at blog.statusbrew.com
