Youtube daily May 13 2018

YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO WATCH THIS VIDEO OF

GOOGLE'S ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ASSISTANT BOOKING A SEAT,

NO, BOOKING A HAIR APPOINTMENT WITH A REAL PERSON.

WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO SEE IS GOOGLE'S NEW ASSISTANT AND

IT IS COMPLETELY A ROBOT.

THIS IS UTTERLY AUTOMATED, EVERY BIT OF VOICE GENERATION COMES

FROM THEIR ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ENGINE AND IT IS ON

THE PHONE WITH A REAL HAIR SALON LOOKING AND APPOINTMENTS.

TAKE A LOOK.

HELLO, HOW CAN I HELP YOU?

HI, I'M CALLING TO BOOK A WOMAN'S HAIRCUT FOR A CLIENT.

I'M LOOKING FOR SOMETHING ON MAY 3RD.

SURE, GIVE ME ONE SECOND.

MM-HMM.

WHAT TIME YOU LOOKING FOR AROUND?

AT 12 PM.

WE DO NOT HAVE A 12

PM AVAILABLE, THE CLOSEST WE HAVE TO THAT IS A 1:15.

DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING BETWEEN 10 PM AND 12 PM?

DEPENDING ON WHAT SERVICE SHE WOULD LIKE.

WHAT SERVICE IS SHE LOOKING FOR?

JUST A WOMEN'S HAIRCUT FOR NOW.

OKAY, WE HAVE A 10 O'CLOCK.

10 AM WORKS.

OKAY, WHAT'S HER FIRST NAME?

THE FIRST NAME IS LISA.

OKAY, PERFECT.

SO I WILL SEE LISA AT 10 O'CLOCK ON MAY 3.

OKAY GREAT, THANKS.

GREAT.

HAVE A GREAT DAY.

BYE.

THIS IS AMAZING TO ME.

I USED TO BE AN ASSISTANCE OF THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.

YOU TOLD ME NOT TO WATCH THIS BEFORE NOW, AND I THINK YOU

THOUGHT I WOULD BE SHOCKED, BUT I LOVE IT.

RIGHT CLUSTER

BUT ARGUES SHOCKED THAT IT IS THAT NATURAL A DISCOURSE

BETWEEN A ROBOT AND A PERSON?

YES IT.

THE PAUSES, THAT IS WHAT IT IS CALLED.

THAT IS WHAT BRIDGES THE UNCANNY VALLEY BETWEEN UNC READER

WE HAD A LOT OF TROUBLE OF INTEGRATING AI INTO NORMAL,

EVERY DAY LIFE SERVING AS AN ASSISTANT OFTEN AS THEY DO.

BECAUSE OF THAT UNCANNY VALLEY EXPERIENCE.

THERE ARE A LOT OF PHONE RECORDED SITUATIONS WITH

UNSOPHISTICATED AI THAT SOUND INSANE BECAUSE YOU CAN TELL

IT IS NOT A PERSON ON THE OTHER END.

I REALLY LIKE THIS.

I DON'T KNOW HOW LOCATED A GOOD WORK BECAUSE I DEFINITELY

HAVE BOOKED APPOINTMENTS WITH HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS THAT

HAD A LOT OF WEIRD STIPULATIONS TO IT.

I THINK IT DOES, IT CAN HAVE A PERSON JUMP ONLINE AND

HELP OUT.

THE WAY THAT THEY TRAIN IT IS THEY HAVE SOMEONE IN THE

ROOM WITH IT WHO KNOWS WHAT WAY TO ESSENTIALLY TRAIN THIS

AI'S A BETTER HANDLE A COMPLICATED SITUATION.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

THIS IS CALLED GOOGLE DUPLEX AND I THINK MORE

INTERESTING TO ME WAS WATCHING THE CROWD'S REACTION.

THEY WERE CHEERING BEFORE THEY WERE UNVEILING THE DEMO AND THEN

THE LAUGHTER AT THE VOCALIZE TO PAUSES AND THEN THE UMMS IN

BETWEEN, THAT IS THE CONNECTOR GAP.

I AM KIND OF TORN AROUND THIS.

I WOULD LOVE IT IF IT MITIGATES AUTOMATED SYSTEMS BECAUSE

THOSE THINGS FRUSTRATE THE HECK OUT OF ME.

PRESS ONE FOR THIS DEPARTMENT, PRESS TWO, AND THEN YOU

HAVE FOUND THAT YOU ARE THREE STEPS IN AND STILL CANNOT

FIND WHAT DEPARTMENT YOU NEED TO GET TO SO I'D LOVE IN THAT

REGARD IF WE CAN JUST COMPLETELY ERASE THE SYSTEM AND

REPLACE WITH THAT, IT WOULD BE GREAT.

I DON'T KNOW HOW I WOULD PERSONALLY FEEL IF I WAS, I

DON'T KNOW.

DO YOU THINK THAT THAT WOMAN AT THE SALON KNEW THAT THAT

WAS A ROBOT?

NO.

NOT AT ALL.

IT WAS GIVING A LITTLE WEIRD ABOUT, A WOMEN'S HAIRCUT.

SHE SAID 12 PM A LITTLE WEIRD.

I WAS AN ASSISTANT ALL THOSE TONES THAT THE AI SYSTEM

HIT WERE CORRECT.

ALL THOSE WAYS TO BYPASS ANY POTENTIAL WEIRDNESS BETWEEN YOU

AND THE PERSON YOU NEED TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT FROM, IS 10 OKAY?

WE HAVE ONE MORE VIDEO OF A MORE COMPLICATED SITUATION WITH

THE AI AND SOMEONE WHO HAS A PRETTY THINK ACCENT WHO HAS

TROUBLE UNDERSTANDING ENGLISH.

LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT THIS NEXT VIDEO TO

HI, MAY I HELP YOU?

HI, I'D LIKE TO RESERVE A TABLE FOR WEDNESDAY THE 7TH.

FOR 7 PEOPLE?

IT'S FOR FOUR PEOPLE.

FOUR PEOPLE?

WHEN?

TODAY?

TONIGHT?

WEDNESDAY AT 6 PM.

ACTUALLY, WE RESERVE FOR UPWARDS OF FIVE PEOPLE.

FOR FOUR PEOPLE, YOU CAN COME.

HOW LONG IS THE WAIT USUALLY TO BE SEATED?

FOR WHEN?

TOMORROW?

THE WEEKEND?

FOR NEXT WEDNESDAY, THE 7TH.

OH NO, IT'S NOT TOO BUSY.

YOU CAN COME FOR FOUR PEOPLE, OKAY?

OH, I GOT YOU.

THANKS.

YEAH, BYE-BYE.

THEY ARE LAUGHING AT THAT PERSON.

I THINK SHE CAN UNDERSTAND ENGLISH, SHE JUST HAS AN ACCENT.

I JUST THINK SHE HAD TROUBLE PARSING MADE A SEVEN, MAYBE

IT WAS LOUD, WAS HAVING TROUBLE UNDERSTANDING.

HE SAID MAY 7 AND SHE SAID SEVEN PEOPLE.

MY GUESS IS IT WAS, GOOD LUCK, ROBOT.

AND THEN FINALLY

THEY MADE IT THROUGH.

THEY REALLY JUST CHARGE THROUGH DIET WAS AMAZING.

YEAH, LIKE I SAID THEY SAID THEY HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS

FOR A YEAR SO THE GOOGLE ASSISTANT CAN UNDERSTAND NUANCES

OF CONVERSATION AND I HAVE WATCHES VIDEO BEFORE BUT WHAT

OCCURRED TO ME AS WE WERE REWRITING THIS AGAIN, WHAT IF

THEY GOT TO APART WHERE THIS ASSISTANT WAS CONVERTED INTO

SOMEBODY WHO COULD ACTUALLY DO COMMENTARY ON STORIES LIKE THIS,

LIKE I AM WONDERING THE OTHER SORT OF PHASES OF AI IN A

SOPHISTICATED MANNER, RESPONDING TO PEOPLE.

I AM NOT SCARED OF AI TAKING MY JOB.

WHY NOT?

WE ARE SO FAR OFF THAT.

WE HAVE HEARD YOU ELON MUSK AND BILL GATES SAY THIS BUT THAT

FUTURE THEY ARE THINKING OF IS SO FAR OFF AND IT IS NOT

GOING TO DECIMATE THE AMERICAN JOB MARKET, IT IS PROBABLY GOING

TO TAKE A LOT OF JOBS THE MOST PEOPLE DON'T WANT TO DO ANYWAY.

CAN I SAY WHAT I REALIZED I LOVE WHEN I THOUGHT ABOUT

WHAT SELF DRIVING CARS CAN ELIMINATE?

HIGHWAY PATROL.

WHY WOULD YOU NEED IT?

TO CATCH PEOPLE SMOKING WEED.

IT WOULD ELIMINATE TRAFFIC LIGHTS BECAUSE THEY WOULD

BE TIMED PRECISELY IF THEY WERE ALL AUTOMATED.

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE FUTURE OF SELF DRIVING CARS

IS GO TO ARGENTINA AND MUCH AN INTERSECTION.

IT IS NOT SELF DRIVING CARS, IT IS A BUNCH OF ARGENTINIANS

KNOW HOW TO NOT HIT EACH OTHER THE SCARES THE CRAP OUT OF

EVERYONE AROUND.

I WAS SITTING AT A CORNER, WE WILL TALK ABOUT IN THE POST.

THAT IS ALL GLOBAL SOUTH COUNTRIES.

IT WAS AMAZING, ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS TO REACT TO.

I WILL SAY THIS, I WAS AN ASSISTANT AT A TALENT AGENCY AND

THE JOB OF THE ASSISTANT WAS ONE THAT TAUGHT ME ALL THE

HIGHER-LEVEL THINGS THAT HAPPEN IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY SO

AS AN ENTRY-LEVEL JOB, I STARTED IN THE MAILROOM.

LITERALLY LOOKING AT THE HOLLYWOOD, AS STOCK OF 50

HOLLYWOOD REPORTERS WITH A BUNCH OF DIFFERENT NAMES ON IT

AND SORTING IT TO THEY WENT TO IN THE MAIL ROOM.

THAT WAS THE BORING STUFF THAT COULD BE DONE BY A ROBOT AT

THAT TIME BUT IT WAS PART OF THE JOB THAT TAUGHT ME MORE

ABOUT THE INDUSTRY SO I COULD EVENTUALLY MAKE MY WAY INTO IT.

I AM AFRAID THAT ELIMINATING ASSISTANT AND SCHEDULERS, PEOPLE

WHO HAVE A JOB OF LEARNING ALL THE DIFFERENT PARTS OF AN

INDUSTRY COULD LEAD TO PEOPLE NOT REALLY HAVING TO HIGHER

LEVELS OF.

AND WHAT DOESN'T ENTRY POINT LOOK LIKE AT THAT POINT?

MY JOB WAS TERRIBLE, I WAS ALSO ANSWERING PHONES IN

THE NEWSROOM.

WISH I COULD'VE BEEN A ROBOT.

Midterm Voters Only Care Where Candidates Stand On Trump - Duration: 2:56.

According to a new poll from the Kaiser Family Foundation, the number one issue among both

Democrats and Republicans in the 2018 midterm elections is where a particular candidate

stands on the issue of Donald Trump.

That's right.

Not healthcare, not student loan debt, not Medicare for all, not infrastructure, jobs,

economy, environment, where the candidate stands on Donald Trump.

Now, look, I despise Donald Trump with every fiber of my being because I'm not a complete

idiot.

But I'm also not going to go to the polls this coming November and vote for somebody

just because of where they stand or don't stand on Donald Trump.

A lot of people on the democratic side looked at this poll and thought, "Yeah, this is good.

This is good.

The voters want us to be anti-Trump so we're going to be anti-Trump."

Yeah, that's going to get you the voters who are already going to vote for you in the first

place.

If we allow this circus clown, Donald Trump, to dominate everything about American politics,

then we have already lost.

It doesn't matter if we retake the House or the Senate.

We've lost.

The cult of personality that this idiot has, the infectious way he has gotten into every

aspect of our lives, he won and there's nothing we can do to undo that.

This poll from the Kaiser Family Foundation showing that Republicans and Democrats alike,

their most important thing is where a candidate stands on Trump, this is dangerous thinking.

People need to be voting based on issues, not based on whether or not the person they're

voting for likes or dislikes Donald Trump or will or won't impeach him.

That is secondary.

Sure, it could be important to you, but for the love of god, it needs to be on the bottom

of the list because impeachment, unless we get some really great, hard, wonderful evidence

from the Mueller investigation, that's a long shot.

What's not a long shot is remaking this economy so that it works for the average American

citizen.

What's not a long shot is protecting the environment from corporations that want us to breathe

poisoned air and drink poisoned water.

What's not a long shot is making college more affordable or completely debt-free for the

new generation of American leaders coming up.

Trump doesn't and shouldn't matter right now in this midterm elections, and if the Democrats

are foolish enough to let him dominate the conversation, then they can kiss any shot

that they might have had of winning back the House and possibly even the Senate goodbye.

Do We Need Spiritual Guidance In Life? - Duration: 16:33.

Hello everyone, so it's been a while since I made a video.

I've been practicing these eye techniques to improve eyesight using the "Bates Method"

and I'm just predicting that it's going to take like maybe 6 months to a year for my

eyes to get to where I want them to be.

So I was so focused on reading the book and doing the practices on the eyes that I've

just totally forgot about making videos.

I have little spurts of like, "oh you know it's been awhile since I made a video."

However, I felt like I can't see it feels like too much of an effortful hassle, so then

I started thinking about it today after listening to another talk by J. Krishnamurti and I really

was thinking over a few things that he said and it just really just struck me.

I see something and I'd like to talk about it and it just felt so silly to just put the

blame on my own personal endeavor into improving my eyesight to just not talk about it.

So that's why this video is coming into fruition

and I like to talk about the subject, "is spiritual guidance necessary in life?"

First off, I want us to make sure we're on the same page about the words spiritual and

guidance.

Now I don't know what most people mean by spiritual.

I don't even have a definition for it in the sense that you might be thinking of...

I'm just going to quickly say by spiritual I mean the abstract, the mental parts of life

like dealing with suffering and fear and living in happiness and love, etc. those kind of

things and I know love is made into an abstraction when it's really not, but that's something

to get into at another time.

So as you can see, this is one of the reasons why I didn't want to make the video because

I can't really see anything right now.

So I'm probably just like looking at all sorts of directions, but oh well.

So I looked up that word guidance in the dictionary, not the normal dictionary, but the etymological

one and guidance is the act of guiding.

it's the process of directing.

So it's an action.

It's not an action that is based upon one's own desire or will.

Action is just instant, it's happening, it's not "I" announced that I will act this

out and then I do it.

So in this sense guidance has no director to direct or bring out some sort of guide

for another to help them on a journey to advance in some sort of psychological way.

Now when we talk about guidance in general, doesn't that also mean influence?

So influence, I heard from a talk that we are being influenced all the time by everyone

in our particular environment, by everyone through social media, through technology,

all around the world if we go much deeper into it and we ourselves are also influencing

everyone as well.

I'm influencing you right now, maybe by talking about "Bates Method" and glasses and eyesight,

maybe that little thing influence you to maybe Google it or something.

So we're all influencing each other and being influenced and this is such an enormous fact.

There's so much to see in this statement that me just stating it right now doesn't seem

to really do it justice.

When I first heard this, I literally sat down for like maybe 30 minutes thinking about all

the influences that happened in my particular childhood experience and going on now as well.

So I feel that this takes some individual going into, thinking about all of the influences

that is going on in our life, and seeing that going on as a fact and seeing how we are also

influencing everyone else.

So I think it's really important to see this fact because then the question is, why are

we talking about influence?

What's so bad about influence?

Well, we have the influence of the government, they say you have to follow the law, they

influence us, if we want to learn something like a certain profession, they have schools

for that where we can go to someone who knows a particular profession like carpentry and

we can learn from them.

So guidance or influence is necessary in today's society, the way we have built it and set

it up.

It's okay, it's necessary, well, I don't want to say okay because that could be taken the

wrong way, but it's necessary and then there is the influence of religious people and a

psychologist and influence from our parents, from traditions, from families, from ancestors,

from history books and all that that tell us how to live our life, in the sense of there

is a heaven and hell, to be happy you must become this or do these certain steps to achieve

enlightenment, to find out and discover truth, you must pay this much money for this certain

director or a person who guides you to this certain psychological destination of who you

want to become.

We have all these kind of authorities that kind of govern our mental aspect of life and

this is where I question, if spiritual guidance is necessary?

Because you see today as a fact, there are so many spiritual guides, spiritual people

or psychologists, there's people everywhere, families, parents, ancestors, kids, even me,

well, back in the day, I was always telling people what to do, what's the right way to

live life, do this, you should do that, and look at the state that the world is in right

now, all of us are doing this, we're all influencing each other in this way and we're

all still suffering and the world, physically is also suffering in a terrible terrible state.

So why don't we question if we are even doing the right thing or not?

Because it's a fact that we can see that something must be wrong because it's not working, what

is all involved in this whole process of psychological influence?

Obviously there is this division right?

Between you and me, there is always this director and this receiver, who receives the directions

or the guidance and then what all goes into that right?

There's so much that goes into it, you know, the whole obeying the director and deriving

a sense of safety, I know where I'm going, certainty, and then life being so ever-changing

and just not grounded in a belief, in an idea, something changes and is not what we think

it was going to be.

So therefore we're hurt, we're in pain, things didn't work out as I thought it would and

on top of that these spiritual authorities or guiders are demanding money for their own

sake of survival and safety.

So it seems doesn't it?

That everything that we do has been reduced to this, I do this in order for you to do

something for me.

Everything has been reduced to this, to this dividing aspect, this mental divisive aspect

of life, where I'm only doing something, in the sense that I must get a reward in return,

if not, there is punishment, I won't give you this guidance or this direction, which

we've been told that we need, but we never questioned if we actually need it because

seeing the state of the world and ourselves that were in now, we're still in a mess.

So why don't we question this?

Why don't we shake the bottle?

Rumble it up a bit and that's mainly the point I wanted to talk about today, is just seeing

this fact and one may question now, well is it possible to live without any spiritual

guidance?

Is it possible to live without influencing others, without being influenced? and that

is a good question because I feel that that that takes a lot of understanding to go into.

It's not something that I could say "yes" and then I become this authority who is influencing

you right or if I say "no" I'm also this authority again saying... you see this whole

process going on?

So just like if you see how lightning strikes a tree and the tree just falls.

So you see the danger of lightning, so therefore, when it's thundering and lightning you don't

run outside and splash in the puddle because it's going to strike you down.

So I feel that is very important to see all that's involved in being a guide, a director,

a Spiritual Authority, anything that separates you from someone else and puts you above or

below them, anything that involves this division between you and me, seeing the danger of it,

how it has put ourselves and the state of the world and everyone in it, (scrambles to

put together sentence) put it in the state that it is in right now, seeing that, then

what happens?

Then intelligently we act and then the question is do we even need someone to tell us to do

something that's quite obvious?

For example, we've reduced something such as "don't kill another human being."

We have reduced that, we can see that, but I feel in today's society we have to have

a law for that and we have to follow that law, but intelligently, hopefully, most of

us can see the danger in killing another human being and seeing that doesn't bring about

its own action? it's own change in life?

To where we don't need someone to guide us and tell us, "don't kill!"

And then charge us for it or expect a reward for it and then tell us if we don't follow

this saying or this word, we get doomed or punished for it.

Instead of making it complicated and bringing in all that, can we just look at it as it

is and in that… there is change.

So that's it for this video, I hope I didn't doze off my eyes everywhere too much to where

it bothers you somehow, but if so, oh well.

Thank you for watching.

I'll see you all next time.
