I think it's so weird that I don't think anyone

can understand that it's a real story.

Jimmy was nice enough to do my Sunday show.

And they said, "Come visit the show.

So, he showed up.

-Yeah, and Miley was on, and she was Dolly Parton.

And Jimmy walks out, and there's a guy in a beard.

And it was so close to actual 1981 Kenny Rogers.

-Yeah, some people thought I really was Kenny Rogers.

-And, so, I was like, "Hey, man."

And I was like, "Oh, my God. Kenny Rogers is here.

This is amazing."

Then he's like, "No, no, dude. It's me. It's Jimmy."

And then I posted it on Instagram

and I said, "Always great to run into Kenny at 30 Rock."

They'd be like, "That's so cool. Kenny looks great.

Kenny looks great."

-Not one person said, "That's not Kenny Rogers"? Really?

-"Kenny looks great."

So you look great as Kenny. -I appreciate it.

How's the family? I heard that they're backstage, yeah?

So my kids aren't super-interested

in what I do for a living.

They've been interested twice.

The first time was on the "Today" show --

when I was hosting the "Today" show,

and they love One Direction.

-So, they came, they said, "Oh, my God,

"One Direction's playing on the plaza.

We'll come to work with you."

So, that was like four years ago.

They came, they saw One Direction,

they met everybody -- Harry, and, like,

Jimmy and Tony and all the guys.

[ Laughter ] Yeah. Ricky and Bobby.

-Ricky and Bobby. That's -- no, that's --

-I think that's New Edition, maybe.

-That's -- yeah, yeah, you're thinking of --

New Edition and Menudo mixed up, yeah, but it's all right.

-So, they show up, and my daughter at the time

was very young.

And Tony or Ricky or one of the guys said,

"That's a beautiful dress you have on."

-[ Gasps ] -And it just like destroyed her.

Like, "Oh, my God. He said -- So that was the first time.

And that was at least five years ago.

The second time they've been interested in my life

is when I said, last week, "Hey, I'm going on Jimmy."

And they went, "What?" [ Light laughter ]

So they got dressed up.

My son bought a new suit for tonight.

[ Cheering ] [ Audience "Awws" ]

-Come on. How -- -Bought a new suit.

And they're here and they're backstage,

so they're very excited.

They're huge Jimmy Fallon fans. -Really?

And, so, you call the 1-800 number, leave a message,

We'd like to interview you. Hopefully you'll call us back."

Didn't call us back.

Showed up at the "Today" show for a live interview

with Savannah, on the "Today" show.

Walked into the greenroom, where our bookers were,

and said, "I got the message.

I'd like to do the Willie Geist show."

And they were like, "Oh, my God."

And he said, "Have him show up

at the hotel tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m."

So, I went to his hotel here in New York.

We quickly scrambled some cameras, set them up,

and I did an hour with Bill Murray

about "SNL" and "Ghostbusters"

and "Caddyshack," and all those --

-It was great. I watched -- -Yeah.

I loved it. I watched it, it was fantastic.

-Yeah, He's great, so...

-So, you have that, you have the podcast.

"Morning Joe." -Yeah.

-I mean, just unbelievable. I mean, that's fantastic.

-Yeah, it's a crazy time to be doing it, you know.

"Morning Joe" is all politics all the time.

And in the current political climate,

every day there's something new to talk about.

And by every day, I mean every half-hour,

there's something new to talk about.

-Completely. -We'll come in with a game plan

for the show, and President Trump

will tweet something, and the show changes completely

or there's some breaking news.

So it's, you know, it's a great balance for me

'cause I do that and politics and then "Sunday Today"

I get to interview people like you and Bill Murray,

So today I made some keema curry That you can make easily in the microwave

dang that's heavy

all ya gotta do is chop up all the ingredients and toss it in the microwave

This recipe caught fire online and so I gave this version a try

alrighty lets get cookin'

These are the ingredients onion carrot meat curry roux catsup worcestershiresauce

garlic ginger water

Peel the skins off the veg and chop

I'm going to use a food processor here so I'mma just cut it up so it fits in it

chop

Something like this?

We're only at the stage where we have the veggies and I'm already having issues with my bowls

its too dang small Let's use a bigger bowl instead

meat

ketchup worcestershire sauce

Garlic Ginger mix a bit

wrap

If we were going by the recipe its only 12 minutes at 600W

But since we've got so much here I'll just have to wing it

holy crap I almost forgot the most important ingredient the curry roux

I'll just put the whole bits of curry in

water

without a doubt we've overfilled the bowl

microwave again

Thankfully I realized just in time

its gonna be super hot out of the microwave so be careful

its bubbling away wow...

now mix

its looking like a legit keema curry

Please take this time to ensure that The meat has been properly cooked through

When you add the curry roux It makes it hard to tell if the meat is cooked

once that's all done add it to the rice

I've got 7 cups of rice today

looks delish

Let's add a lot of it

its plenty

now for the runny egg

Add some basil for color

tadaa it's all done super heavy.....

I keep saying heavy... heavy heavy all the time

curry so good

it looks so yummy itadakimasu

Our first bite will be just the curry

the chopped up ingredients look so yummy

It looks so hot

mmmm super delish

The ingredients have been chopped up so finely that it feels like they've melted into the roux

well its a bit of an exaggeration but they're all tiny bits and you can taste the sweetness

coming out of each tiny morsel its so yummy

And since I added so much garlic and ginger It really adds a lot of flavor

hot

curry so yummy

its so yummy

Let's try breaking open one of the eggs now

The flavor of it is so nice and Mild

With all the vegetables and meat this is so good for you

There are like three whole onions and carrots in here

it seemed as if the water wouldn't fit into the bowl as per the recipe

so I reduced the amount of water used but its definitely very yummy

Since we're not dealing with normal quantities here the extra veggies gave it the needed water in here

sometimes things don't go according to recipe

I used the medium spicy curry roux

its spicy and yummy

really starting to break out in a sweat

curry is so great keema curry is so different

It uses the same curry roux but since the veg is chopped so finely it

seems like an entirely different dish

the amount of meat is nice and all I really love that there is almost as much meat as roux

I put this off long enough time to break out the parmesan cheese

ya gotta eat it the regular way for the first little while at least so that's why I waited till now for this

cheese is so perfect

with the added cheese it really changes up the flavor profile

I love how it's cooked in the microwave

it might not be suited for making huge quantities like this though

but I love how there aren't that many dishes to clean up

A recipe like this is perfect for those who want to make a quick dinner for one

This keema Curry that was made using only a microwave was so yummy

if you get past chopping up the veggies into tiny bits its all super easy

to be able to get a yummy keema curry like this from just tossing things into a microwave is amazing

its super perfect for a household that has a food processor

if you're dealing with a small amount then you can probably do things easily with just a knife

but for making huge amounts like this then a food processor is very necessary

And as for ingredients we use ground beef/pork today but you can use ground chicken or just ground beef

And all it takes is to finely chop the veg so you can use all sorts of different veggies

If we were going by the recipe it only takes 12 minutes in the microwave

I said tweet .... its not tweet its ding in the microwave

I think this took over 40 minutes in the microwave I kept rotating it every 6 minutes

so I guess you can get by with just multiplying the recipe by 6

I kinda zoned out a sec

and as for extra toppings I used runny eggs today but you can get by with some scrambled eggs or

sunny side up eggs but according to the recipe they called for scrambled eggs

and you can make scrambled eggs in the microwave and you can make most of the toppings in the microwave as well

It was so yummy and easy to make Won't you all please give it a try as well
