Usage of smartphones and digital channels is growing year over year

but in this era of digitalization, in-store sales continue to be the main sales channel for Deutsche Telekom.

The question has therefore been whether there is a way to implement campaigns with Google

that will guide customers into stores.

We developed a campaign, utilizing a new Google ad format,

which not only features the product, but also its availability in our stores.

By combining our beacons with Google's technology,

we are now able to identify customers in our stores

allowing us to see whether someone searched for a product on the Internet beforehand.

Additionally, we can now offer special services, such as our online appointment scheduler.

This gives the customer the power to say:

"I can determine when I have an appointment with Deutsche Telekom,"

and we make time for the customer when they are available.

Sales figures have shown

that the combination of online and offline can bring sustained profit.

The first thing to note is that we counted 400,000 store visits from Google in the first half of the year.

We also increased the number of appointments scheduled online by 10–20%.

To me, this is just the beginning,

because Google brings us innovations and technologies that we ourselves do not have.

Innovations that combine the Internet with physical offline sales, and ensure the success of both!

How to Calculate coordinates from distance and bearing where we have coordinate of a known point - Duration: 6:23.

hello friends welcome to learn and explore today in this session I will show

you how to find out the coordinate of points with the help of the distance and

bearing where we know the coordinate of a first point so in this excel file I

will apply the formula in front of you and I will calculate the unknown

coordinates in this excel file only first you have to calculate the

departure and latitude of each line here you can see that I have 12

number of points where I know the coordinate of first point that is this

coordinate easting and northing and we know the line these 1/2 line the

distance is to 206 meter and that bearing is so on so to calculate the

departure and latitude here is a simple concept I will show you

this is the North line and this is the East line this is the origin if our

survey line like this AB and you know the bearing is calculated from the North

line towards the SURVEY LINE in a clockwise manner and if the length of

the line is L so that this BC will be the departure that is departure

will be the BC that is parallel to the East line and line parallel to the North

line it will be this much of BD will be the latitude the departure is calculated

by L sine theta and the latitude is calculated by L cos theta so if you know

the coordinate of point A then you can get the coordinate of easting/northing

by adding departure and the latitude so easting of point B will be the Easting of

point A plus the departure that is L sine theta and the northing of point B

will be the northing of point A that is this point A and plus the latitude so

then you will get the coordinate of B now we will move to the excel file here is

the excel file now we will calculate the departure and the

latitude so what is the formula for that check it press the equal to symbol then

the L that is the distance multiplied by a star is taken as multiply symbol so

put the star after that distance star sine here one thing sine theta

works with the radians of these angles okay so we have to put the radians

that is convert degrees to radians so radians then this cell ID E5 now

bracket and close now enter so this is the sine component of these distance and

this bearing so I get the departure and in the same way I will calculate the

latitude also. equal to distance star cos within bracate radians and then

bracket the angle that is the bearing now bracket close enter so we have

calculated the departure and latitude okay now if you drag this formula here

like this all the lines departure and latitude will be calculated

automatically with Excel now I will calculate the unknown coordinates by

adding departure and latitude to the known coordinates I have told you that

to calculate the easting and northing values you have to add the easting of the

point A plus Departure Northing of the point A plus

latitude so in this way I will add = to this easting plus the departure

of the next line okay enter and for northing equal to this cell plus the

latitude now enter so here it is here is the coordinate if you drag this

up to here and you will get the coordinates I'm changing the values it's

automatic now I will show you how to plot a line in AutoCAD with the help of

these coordinates this is extra tips for you so guys if you like this tutorial

you have to apply the formula equal to equal to the easting then and with in

double quotation put the comma and symbols ampersand symbol in the northing

now enter so here you will get this easting comma northing format drag it up

to your data just copy it and open AutoCAD already I opened the autocad

here and in AutoCAD just enter PL PL is for the polyline polyline command and

here in the white page paste your data so that's it you can see I had 12 number

of points these all or the coordinates here it is also showing the coordinates

okay so this is all the method what I have shared I will give the download

What is Metadata 2020? - Duration: 3:04.

Hi there.

I am John Bond from Riverwinds Consulting and this is Publishing Defined.

Today I am going to talk about a new project in scholarly publishing, Metadata 2020.

The project is a global initiative, organized by Crossref in conjunction with associations,

publishers, universities, and other scholarly communications organizations that "that

advocates richer, connected, and reusable, open metadata for all research outputs, which

will advance scholarly pursuits for the benefit of society."

Metadata, as a reminder, is data about data and essential to academic publishing particularly

in regard to search and discoverability.

The Metadata 2020 initiative includes an impressive array of representatives from the various

constituent groups including publishers, librarians, researchers, funders, data publishers and

repositories, and service providers/platforms tools.

Their aim is to "create awareness and resources for all who have a stake in creating and using

scholarly metadata (by demonstrating) why richer metadata should be the scholarly community's

top priority, how (to) evaluate...improve, and what can be achieved when (they) work

together."

They are embarking on their effort because they believe:

Richer metadata fuels discoverability.

Connected metadata bridges the gaps between systems and communities.

Open metadata eliminates the duplication of effort.

I'll put links to two great blog posts from their site in my notes below where they discuss

some of their insights to date: Metadata is the means, not the goal

There is no one size fits all Job one: define richer metadata

The stakeholders realize more than anyway that the effort is "big and complicated."

Add into this the diverse constituencies and their have their work cut out for them.

It is a worthy task that will benefit not only academic publishing but society as a

whole.
