Smart Map provides situational awareness on a global scale by allowing

quick access to relevant devices from anywhere in the world.

In this video tutorial, you will learn how to set up Google Maps or Bing Maps

for Smart Map in the XProtect Management Client.

The Basic world map is the default geographic background and does not require any setup.

If your system can access the internet, you can also use

OpenStreetMaps out of the box without additional steps.

In the Site Navigation pane, under Client, click Smart Client profiles.

You may have other Smart Client profiles defined.

In this example, we will use the default profile.

In the Properties pane, we click Default Smart Client Profile.

In the lower-right corner, click the Smart Map tab.

Bing Maps offers Basic keys, which are free but limit the number of transactions,

and Enterprise keys, which offer unlimited transactions for a fee.

Google Maps offers Standard plans and Premium plans.

If you're going to use Bing Maps or Google Maps in XProtect Smart Client,

Milestone recommends the following:

for Bing Maps, purchase an Enterprise key.

You can also use a Basic key but remember that they allow only limited use.

To use Google Maps, you must purchase a Premium Plan for the Google Static Maps API.

Administrators can also configure Smart Map to access an alternative OpenStreetMap tile server

that does not have to be connected to the internet.

This extends the default functionality of Smart Map to clients who choose not to connect to the internet.

Today we will add the Client ID and Private key for Google Maps and the Bing Maps key.

In the Client ID for Google Maps section, click Set key.

Enter the Client ID.

And click OK.

In the Private key for Google Maps section, click Set key.

Enter the Private key.

And click OK.

The process is similar for Bing Maps.

In the Bing Maps key section, click Set key.

Enter the key.

And click OK.

Now both Bing Maps and Google Maps will be available in this Smart Client profile.

A Fallen Tree Shut This Rescue Fox Out Of Her Enclosure And She Became Just Too Tame For The Wild - Duration: 5:37.

it goes without saying that wild animals are not meant to live too close to

humans nevertheless those that do can get surprisingly attached to the people

around them after a charity rescued this

heart-melting fox for instance getting her back to living in the wild became a

lot more complicated than expected what does the Fox say

well if foxes could indeed talk they probably want to tell the world that

they're not vermin however in some places especially rural areas where

they're more commonly found foxes are persecuted and seen as a nuisance and

one group dealing with the fallout of this perception is Britain's national

fox Welfare Society or NF WS n f WS is a volunteer run organization with more

than 20 years of experience rescuing foxes that are sick or injured naturally

the organization does its best to release the foxes back into the wild

once they're healthy but for some of its charges there's just no going back and

although the organization is responsible for many life-saving operations one

animal made a particular impression on the volunteers at NF WS

they first laid eyes on her in 2011 when rescuers found the abandoned baby fox in

england's picturesque yorkshire they named the cute kit pudding after the

county's famous Yorkshire pudding and as with most of the foxes that the

volunteers helped nurse back to health this one was expected to run free again

in the wild once she was old and strong enough to fend for herself

however Mother Nature had other plans at the sanctuary was a whole litter of

foxes that pudding was scheduled to meet and hopefully be accepted by as a member

of their family but before introductions could be made

though disaster struck the day before pudding was set to join the other Fox

Cubs in their pen a fallen 200 foot tree closed off the entrance ABC News

reported back in 2014 and while the Fox litter inside was unharmed all the

avenues into the pen were blocked off and therefore access was impossible

indeed nothing bigger than a food dish could get into the

mark Hemington the founder of national Fox Welfare Society took charge of

making sure the litter of kids continued to get fed but poor pudding would have

to wait until the tree was removed before she could meet her new family

however it ended up being months later before cleanup teams chopped down and

removed the tree finally once the tree was cleared the foxes in the pen were

old enough to return to the wild on their own but the same couldn't be said

for pudding in the absence of any other alternative

and unable to get her to join the foxes in the blocked-off pen pudding had to be

hand-fed by her rehabilitators by the time the tree was removed then the young

fox had fallen in love with her human carers pudding had no Cubs to integrate

with and bonded more with me Hemington told ABC news it looked like the Fox had

already chosen her family but the NF WS still only wanted what was best for her

and did what they could to prepare pudding for the wild unsuccessfully the

charity's rehabilitators tried to integrate pudding into other Fox social

groups but she had already made up her mind where she wanted to stay and she

wasn't being swayed indeed pudding had become too domesticated to release back

into the wild and now she didn't have the survival skills to even be released

safely since she'd bonded with Hemington then he adopted her and allowed her to

continue living at the NF WS sanctuary as friendly as pudding was however her

domestication was a rare circumstance that the NF WS couldn't avoid Hemington

moreover has firmly warned the public against keeping a fox as a pet they're

wild animals and that's where I believe they should be he said to the media

still the volunteers that the organisation found putting so adorable

that they couldn't help but share her story as a result they featured her on

one of its social media pages needless to say the ridiculously photogenic Fox

soon found a huge following as Internet users around the world fell for the

Vixens charms after posting a photo of putting the Fox on her Facebook page her

image was shared and went viral worldwide the NF WS wrote on its

official web page one website who shared our photo of pudding has at last count

had over two million views pudding now has thousands of followers

on Facebook and many are asking for putting the Fox merchandise it added

such was puddings popularity in fact that she eventually became the official

foxy face of the organization and while pudding always greeted her beloved

humans with a wagging tail and welcome hips she also made a new friend with one

of her own species one day an FWS received a fox that had been kept as a

pet and introduced the animal to pudding the two got along famously and swiftly

became partners in crime on March 23rd 2015 however the NF WS released the

heartbreaking news that their beloved pudding had passed away I feel like I've

lost my best friend and this is one blow that's completely knocked me for six the

charity's social media announcement read as far as foxes go she was my rock the

announcement continued but though pudding may be gone she'll never be

forgotten indeed her image continues to be the face of the national Fox Welfare

Society her memory too has been immortalized in the hearts of her

adopted family and no doubt in those of the many around the world who fell in

I was almost tied to like Charleston to where it was just like heart wrenching

it's the light goosebumps my arm to see this like I saw

pretty sure it's gonna impact everybody's lives and make them think

it's really cynical at the same time it was just so much chaos going on around

us or it was just like you have to stay focused and just focus on the dance you

mean who has it so many people are pointing out that there is an

overwhelming amount of cultural allusions and symbolism found in the

video although we can't show you everything because the scenes are still

being dissected we're gonna show you some of the most talked about moments

and get your thoughts on them okay cool cuz he I know I like already as soon as

this music video dropped everyone on Twitter was just giving their own

analysis so here's the first one oh yeah yeah the whole Jim Crow thing is

I mean just a Twitter you know Twitter's an encyclopedia for everything these

days I heard that he was he was like modeling after a painting but I didn't

know like what it was for him to subtly drop that in there unless you knew about

it unless he really went digging for it you wouldn't have known so several

reports have noted that the video seems to tackle various social issues

including police brutality gun violence all while dancing in a Jim Crow style

caricature a type of anti-black imagery that was meant for entertainment in the

19th and 20th century why do you think that can be no decided to include this

in his video because as much as we want to say that things have changed a lot of

things happened he's trying to bring to the

forefront that all these issues that happen in the past haven't really been

solved yet because we're really as a country we're really distracted Jim Crow

especially like that whole image of him was supposed to bring down black people

so the fact that like Gambino himself as a black man is sort of like taking that

himself and doing it himself is kind of showing like I'm taking ownership of

this now so you can't hurt me with it anymore a lot of people probably don't

even know about this stuff and it's like for an artist to use their medium to

educate somebody while also entertaining them it's pretty needed yeah they just

threw someone off the off the balcony I just see like people being chased by

police go ahead and watch it again okay oh my god I did not notice that I was

just so distracted by the dancing when you were watching the dancing it makes

you not realize what's going on in the background then we talked about news

outlets or like even like different types of media it's like they try and

distract you with one story to lead you away from another story so I pointed out

that it could also reflect the notion that our society lusts to emulate and be

entertained by black entertainers yet ignore the hardships african-americans

face in this country yeah he's almost kind of saying like we only love black

people when they're like giving us something like fun and cool but then

we're ignoring them when they have issues that they're facing themselves I

feel a hundred percent of like movement everything like my legs matter and it's

so important but it's not only affecting like that because you see it also with

the Latino culture and you see it with like every single other culture

yeah by now this I know you're gonna talk about this part because his lines

it goes it's a seller which is being cellphone

and they says yeah that's a tool the moment something happens we have to

report right away instead of helping like if there's two people fighting we

never people don't help they were courting a lot of people tend to like

when they when they see something wrong instead of like trying to intervene they

just kind of just videotape it and just stay on the side well Sally I think

could maybe have it's like a double entendre where it's a cell phone but

also like a prism cell so you know there's a lot of police brutality that's

been brought to the surface because people have filmed it videotaping police

brutality is the only way to combat it because you know Anna your word versus

their word situation you're never gonna win why a white horn dude that's one of

the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse for sure

it's weird I thought the horse would freak out because of all the chaos and

the fire and everything but the horse was very professional so in this scene

we see a hooded figure riding a horse followed by a cop car which a lot of

people believe is an allusion to the Horsemen of the Apocalypse

interesting there's just so many people dying and no one cares and no one's

really trying to do anything and that's like the country that we live in yeah I

think alike especially with the church one with all the gospel singers like

that reminded me of the shooting that happened in the south and in the church

after every shooting it's a red car cloth what you're saying that the guns

are more more important than the humans and the red is supposed to represent the

blood on set they were just like oh by the way one of the kids is gonna hold a

real gun if you guys don't mind the parents were like hey a real gun is it

loaded and they're like no no no it's not loaded but he's gonna have to put in

his hands and then just give it away right away it just made me feel like

there are a lot of people in power who would rather protect guns than protect

people's lives this one was to is kind of showing how like black bodies aren't

treated like fairly or gently or anything like that at all like people

don't care about them enough but God forbid you take away my gun topic about

guns are so complicated I'm just scared about giving the whole power to a

government and you being unable to defend yourself at at the same time if

there's no like regulation for it that's freaking scary now that the video has

been released what are your feelings towards how the video has been received

by critics in the general public I felt like this was just another video to

spread awareness and he portrayed it perfectly so as you've seen the video

has a lot going on in some point the videos worth multiple viewings

because you don't really catch everything the first time you watch it

100% I've seen it four times that I still don't catch everything the song

itself shifts throughout going from happy upbeat verses to that dark and

aggressive chorus we broke down some of the most important parts of the video

for you what form the video stood out to you the most I think the most jarring

part of it honestly it was like the gun handling and shooting I think the first

scene is what caught my eye the most cuz I like I saw people like tweeting about

it a ton and then you watch it and you don't really know what's gonna happen

and then he shoots the guy and then it just mayhem occurs what's standing out

the most is that like especially the ending we're trying to like get away

from these problems what we're living in them still and we can't get out the most

important part from you was just the overall symbolism of how of how the guns

were being treated with more respect than actual human beings lives because I

feel like it's very relevant and with especially with like all these gun

control problems and all these shootings that have been happening lately there's

this hope yet there's this cynicism I like the juxtaposition between the the

children and teens who are dancing while there is so much violence happening in

the background so you've been involved in a lot of music videos and other

exciting opportunities throughout your career but how does it feel to be a part

of something that's causing several important conversations in our society

the video dropped around Saturday night and I went on my phone right away and

people already texting me and were like are you in this video was that you I'm

happy that I was able to be a part of something that everybody's talking about

in a in a great way none of us knew that the group us have

guns none of us knew about the choir being shot or anything but Childish ever

or Donald or mr. Glover he came up to us and he was like you guys whenever you

guys feel uncomfortable just tell me and let me know and I'll stop it and we

could take a step back take a break come up to me or the director and I'll take

care of you guys like that was one thing I respect this man 100% and I'm it's so

overwhelming to be in this man's vision for his video and I felt like this was

so creative while you were filming did you think he was gonna have this big

I okay I did all the parents they were just kind of like like what's going on

there's so much chaos and I was like trust me I trust mr. Bluebird I trust

hero I just a director and you know I trust a choreographer and I was like you

know what they're going for this 100% I am too and I was like this is gonna take

over the world when these types of videos are released that depicts some

issues within this country and focus on racial undertones they almost always

cause divisions between people as both left and right can get very vocal over

their opposing viewpoints do you think that this type of reaction and

conversation is good or bad to come from a music video I think it's amazing that

you can have such a music video or they could have a music video that's so

profound that it causes this kind of political reaction this video generates

valuable discussion things can change but nothing's gonna happen unless people

talk about it I already know millions of people have already watched this video

today and I feel like that's you know it needs to be talked about and it needs it

needs to be shown like everyone needs to see this kind of stuff and realize like

what's actually happening people pay attention to pop culture and

entertainment and that's exactly what Gambino is trying to get across

even though race is such a like a politically charged issue it's still

gonna start conversations between people to hopefully open each other's eyes kind

of thing and understand each other's perspectives more if we can't talk about

these things and like normal conversations and we have to have like

deaths happen and stuff like this happened before we actually talk about

it and really sit there and have the conversation then it's like what are we

ever gonna really acknowledge these things so finally the music video is

making a lot of people think critically about the issues presented which some

people think is what good art should do why do you think that we sometimes need

aren't like this to dig deeper into our lives versus being able to see it within

ourselves that's exactly what art is supposed to do is to make you think it

may let you view issues in another way that maybe you're not able to see just

through things that you see on the news it's necessary to have art like this

it's necessary to make music videos like that to reach out to people because it

creates a shock in their minds it's not really one of those things that a lot of

people enjoy but it's one of those things that a lot of people need because

like okay well that's such a tragedy this is happening a sec no this is like

systemic this is things that have been going on

for years and years and years art is more effective than arguing with someone

I feel like when someone sees a work of art and they really feel the message

that's more impactful than someone saying hey this is what I believe and

this is what I think you should do

LS vs LT Transmission and Engine Bolt Pattern - Duration: 2:43.

hi welcome to monster transmissions and yep we're in the warehouse again today

we're going to go over a very common question we get and our tech department

am a customer service they don't know if they have a five seven and whether it's

an LT block or an LS block usually a 5.7 1998 and newer is the LS design block

and here's a graphic way to identify your block and transmission when we ask

these questions to ensure you get the right transmission so on this side we

actually have the LT block just stand there block goes all the way back to the

1960s so here's the stand of both patterns six bolts and this is the

common GM engine bolt pattern and this is a two-piece or you can have a

one-piece 4l60 or even a 704 all the way back to 350 even to a power glide they

all have this same six bolt hole and there's two bolt holes here and those

Isis a bore hole those are for the dowel pins on the engine so you'll notice here

there's two dowel pins sticking out of the engine block and that's this

alignment pins on the actual bell housing of a transmission that's to keep

the ancient stable when you're bolting it up and after it's bolted in now we'll

go to the LS engine design again this is a 98 and newer LS 5.7 liter and it'll

look like this either has actually seven bolt holes the one you want to notice is

the one at the very top if you have this top bolt hole it's a pretty good

giveaway that this is an LS engine design so the transmission goes

accordingly it will have the seven bolt holes for the engine block as well so it

has a standard six plus the one at the very top that's an LS design now there's

a different transmission different bell housing it's a little deeper to larger

torque inverter so you cannot interchange these two units without

changing your flex plate and make other modifications for it to fit so this is a

465 or for all 70 GM transmission even the foil ATS have the same bolt pattern

where it has the seven bolt holes on the casting of

transmission and seven bolt holes on the engine block

so there's your LS engine and this is your LT engine setup so you're gonna

graphically identify your engine with the transmission off how to identify

your engine block so you can correctly get the right transmission from Monster

How to Troubleshoot Device Connection Issues: Port Forwarding - Duration: 5:34.

Hi my name is Ryan and thank you for watching this No-IP support video.

Today's video is designed to help prevent connection issues our users can have when

trying to access their device.

Here at No-IP, we simply resolve a hostname or domain to an IP address.

In order to access your device, you will need to ensure your internal network is set up

properly and port forwarding rules have been configured.

This is a high level walk through on configuring port forwarding in your router and troubleshooting

some of the errors that can occur during the process.

The first thing you will need to do is to login to your router using the default gateway

associated with the device.

This can be found either on the sticker on the router itself, or by using one of the

two default IP addresses that are listed here.

Once you are at the router login screen you will have to login with the default router

credentials or use your own if you have logged into your router before.

Once you have successfully logged into your router you will need to find the port forwarding

settings which are usually located under "Advanced".

For this example I will be using Netgear's R7000 Nighthawk, and you can see that the

port forwarding settings are located under the "Advanced" tab and then the "Advanced

Setup" dropdown.

Clicking on the port forwarding settings will allow you to see all of your current port

forwarding rules and configure brand new ones.

As you can see we currently do not have any port forwarding rules configured, so we will

go ahead and configure a brand new one by clicking on "Add Custom Service".

When creating a new port forwarding rule most routers will ask you for the same information.

The service name, the protocol, the external and internal ports, and the internal IP address

of the device you are trying to connect to.

The service name can be whatever you want and is just used to remind you what the port

forwarding rule is for.

In this case we will just call it camera.

For the protocol you are going to want to chose both TCP and UDP to make sure that all

devices can connect to your port.

The internal and external port will be the number that you use to access your device

and need to be the same.

In this case we will use port 8000 to connect to our device.

The last step is to add the internal IP address of the device you are trying to remotely access.

The internal IP address of the device will always start with 192.168.

something or 10.0.

Something.

Most newer routers will list all the devices tied to it to make the port forwarding a little

easier.

In this case we will want to access the IP camera at the top of our list.

You can see that the IP address is 192.168.1.10.

Once you have added all the necessary information you will want to hit the apply or finalize

button to save your port forwarding rule.

Next, you will want to make sure that the IP address you made the rule for is always

tied to the device you want to access.

To do this you are going to tell the router to keep the same IP address for that device

no matter what.

This will ensure that if the router is turned off or is updated that the port forwarding

rules will still work and still take you to the device you desire.

You will be able to configure this static IP address under the LAN settings of your

device.

From here we will click the "Add" button to create a new rule, and then chose the device

and the IP address we want to remain static.

As you can see when we go to give our IP camera a static IP address it has already changed

with an IP address ending in .27.

We are going to change the IP address to end in .10 to match the port forwarding rule we

created.

We will then finalize this rule by clicking the "Add" button at the top of the screen.

Now we know that the port forwarding rule will continue to work and take you to the

correct device on your network.

Once the rules have been saved you will want to make sure that the port forwarding is work

and the easiest way to do that is to go to portchecktool.com.

Once there the site will automatically find your current public IP address and then give

you the option to add the port number you would like to test.

Since we created the rule for 8000 we will check that port with the tool.

If you get this green success message that means you have successfully configured the

port forwarding in your router and we're able to access your device remotely.

The port check tool can also throw some errors meaning that it was not able to successfully

connect to your device.

The most common reason for failure would be connection timed out.

This error usually occurs when the port forwarding rules weren't set properly or if there is

an external device or service that is blocking your connection.

After double checking your port forwarding settings its a good idea to contact your ISP,

or internet service provider, to make sure they're not blocking any ports or to check

any firewalls that you may have configure for your network.

The other common error you will run into is connection refused.

This usually means that the port forwarding rules are set up properly and we were able

to talk to your network however the device itself is not letting the connection be established.

You will want to double check the remote connection settings for your device and make sure that

the inbound port is configured to the same port that you have set up for port forwarding.

If you are having issues fixing this error it is always a good idea to contact your device

manufacture to make sure it is correctly configured for a remote connection.

Smart Client: Export Video in Simplified Mode - Duration: 3:24.

XProtect Smart Client is a powerful, easy-to-use client application for viewing and managing the daily operations of a surveillance installation.

In this video tutorial, you'll learn how to export recorded video and still images in Smart Client.

Exporting video is easy in the simplified mode. Click Toggle Mode to switch to that mode.

The export process for any given camera view is accessed on the Playback tab.

Click the Playback tab.

In the simplified mode, begin with the Export button. Click Export.

You can set the start and end times a couple of different ways. Let's look at both.

Click the Start input field.

Click the Start time field and change it to 11:45 AM.

Click Close.

Set the End time the same way. Click the End time field.

Click the End time field to change it to 11:46 AM.

Click Close.

You can also select a period of time by dragging the start and end time indicators on the timeline.

To add other cameras, select the check boxes for those cameras. Select the Front Door 2 check box.

For multiple selections, you can Add all or Clear list.

In this example, you need to export only Front Door 1. Clear the Front Door 2 check box.

The video will be saved in database format to the destination you specify.

The Smart Client - Player will also be included. Click Export.

To access additional export features, you will need to switch out of the simplified mode.

Click the Toggle Mode button.

For camera views on both the Live and Playback tabs, you can save still images in several ways.

The Clipboard button copies a still image of the selected view to your clipboard.

You can then paste the image into another application.

The Send to the Printer button opens a surveillance report that you can send to a printer connected to your local machine.

The report includes a still image of the camera view at the current time, the Camera name,

the Image capture and Report print times, the User's name, and the User's notes.

The Snapshot feature records a still image of the current view to a location on your local machine.

The file name consists of the camera name, the date, and the time.

You just saw how to export recorded video and still images in Smart Client.

Smart Map provides situational awareness on a global scale by allowing

quick access to relevant devices from anywhere in the world.

In this video tutorial, you will learn how to use the Smart Map to navigate among different locations.

There are several ways to navigate to different locations in a Smart Map.

First, let's use the mouse.

You click and drag to navigate.

Use the mouse wheel to zoom to any level.

Details are filled in as you zoom.

Another way to navigate is using saved locations.

First, click the Select a location dropdown list.

Locations from anywhere in the world are easy to access. We'll click Copenhagen environmental zones.

In this example, the system administrator has already set up several custom locations.

We can define any of these locations as "Home". Let's click the Home icon.

Another way to navigate between locations is using links.

We'll click the Beaverton link to jump to that location.

You can see that adding a custom overlay, like this 1st floor CAD drawing, creates the location as well, if that option is turned on.

Click the Home icon.

To see a camera preview, we'll double-click the WH Entrance camera.

And then Close the preview.

Smart Map allows you to quickly view multiple cameras using the Select multiple cameras tool.

With the cameras selected, we can right-click on any of them.

From here, we can Start manual recording, Send camera, or see a Live preview.

We'll click Send camera.

And click Main Window.

The four cameras appear in a view.

We'll click Smart Map to return to the map.

You just saw how to use the Smart Map to navigate among different locations.
