Creating a connected home is easy these days and the iSelector Smart Plug can help you

get started without spending a lot of money.

This is a really simple compact smart plug that simply plugs between your lamp and electrical

socket.

It works with your smartphone and it also includes a switch in case for some reason

you need to manually turn it on or off.

With this I can also replace my old analog light timers.

But more on that later.

Once it's plugged in, here's how to connect the smart plug with the Jinvoo Smart app.

If this is your first iSelector device you'll have to create a new account with an email

address or your cell phone number.

And of course you'll need to create a password.

Once that's done tap the Add Device button.

Here, tap Electrical Outlet and make sure you have the smart plug plugged in now.

With the blue light blinking, tap the button on the bottom.

Here enter the password for your home Wifi network.

The plug only works on 2.4GHz networks so make sure your phone or tablet is on the same

2.4GHz Wifi network.

It may take a few minutes before the iSelector Smart Plug is fully connected.

At this point, the blue light should be solid now.

When the app confirms that the process is finished, hit the Done button.

And here I'm going to update the firmware because it's easy to do right now.

But don't unplug the smart plug during this step.

Once that's done, it's ready to go!

I'll plug my lamp into the socket.

And real quick, here's how the manual switch works.

It just toggles the power on and off.

And now on my phone, I can use it to remotely power on whatever is connected to the smart

plug.

Just keep in mind that you can only do on or off.

This iSelector plug is not a dimmer.

Now the app also includes a countdown feature where you can set the switch to turn off after

a set period of time.

You can also use the simple timer to schedule on and off times during a day replacing my

old analog light timer.

So I really like the iSelector Smart Plug and it's much smaller than the TP Link plug

that I also own.

It's really simple to program and the iSelector also works with Alexa and Google Assistant.

They're really affordable and you can get them in multi-packs to put them throughout

your home.

Hillary Clinton is on the "Bitterness, Recriminations, and Excuses Tour" for what seems like the

millionth time as she parades her entitled opinions before anyone who will listen.

Last week, Hillary came to Melbourne, Australia's second largest city, and to Sydney, its largest,

to spread that bitterness worldwide.

Those who went to hear her speak, more than 5,000 people, paid between $200 and $500 Australian

dollars (about $15 to $380 US) for the honor of hearing her complain and compile her list

of excuses…again.

Naturally, they heard the expected criticism of President Trump and his foreign and domestic

policies and the laundry list of everything that Hillary sees that she thinks she can

and would have done better.

As Cal Thomas wrote for Fox News – "Not that long ago, Americans made an effort to

stop "partisan politics at the water's edge," but no more.

Especially with the leftist progressive politicians who seem to believe that government belongs

to them and when Republicans win an election it was somehow stolen from its rightful owners.

Interviewed by former liberal Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, Hillary Clinton eventually

got to what she believes is the real reason she lost to Donald Trump.

It was misogynistic men and women who voted the way their husbands told them to that prevented

her from making history, or if you prefer, her-story.

Hillary Clinton was at it even before the event began by tweeting that President Trump's

withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal was a "big mistake" that actually makes the

U.S. less safe.

As if America would be safer by trusting the biggest sponsor of terrorism in the world

while Hillary Clinton was "at times disarmingly honest (that seemed to be a first), warm,

funny and optimistic," she also appeared "self-serving and sad."

Like a boxer who doesn't know when to leave the ring, Hillary Clinton is a two-time political

loser who hasn't gotten the message that she is unlikeable and unelectable.

She would do herself and the country (not to mention the Democratic Party) a favor by

retiring and leaving the scene of her political accident.

There is still money to be made, however, and to the Clintons, money is their catnip."

As the Wall Street Journal notes "…it's Clinton fundraising season.

This has been true of every season of every year since the late 1970s.

But this is a particularly important moment because of a major event that is now less

than two weeks away.

Last month Axios reported: 'Longtime Clinton supporters last week received an invitation

offering access to the family (the green invitation features photos of Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea)

at a Clinton Foundation benefit on May 24 in New York, at prices ranging from $2,500

("Friend") for cocktail party and dinner, up to $100,000 ("Chair") for "Leadership

Reception for two, a premium table of ten, program recognition as Gala Chair and invitations

to the Clinton Foundation Annual Briefing.'"

The now-defunct Clinton Global Initiative spent a lot of donor money on a large staff,

travel and "miscellaneous" expenses.

With the New York Post reporting – "Bill Clinton's foundation has spent more than

$50 million on travel expenses since 2003, an analysis of the non-profit's tax forms

reveals.

The web of foundations run by the former president spent an eye-opening $12.1 million on travel

in 2011 alone, according to an internal audit conducted by foundation accountants.

That's enough to by 12,000 air tickets costing $1,000 each, or 33 air tickets each day of

the year.

That overall figure includes travel costs for the William J. Clinton Foundation (to

which Hillary and Chelsea are now attached) of $4.2 million on travel in 2011, the most

recent year where figures are available.

The Clinton Global Health Initiative spent another $730,000 on travel, while the Clinton

Health Action Initiative (CHAI) spent $7.2 million on travel.

CHAI also spent $2.9 million on meetings and training, according to the report, conducted

by the Little Rock, Ark.

Accounting firm BDK CPA's and Advisors.

All three entities have global reach, while CHAI has the most staff.

It's impossible to discern from tax filings how the total travel costs were reached, although

the former president is known to rack up his personal miles on private jets."

how we do. Now according to an article that I found on TheBlast.com, Cardi B

and her entourage were at the Fendi store at The Shops at Crystals, also

known as Crystals at City Center, which is a mall in Las Vegas, when a woman by

the name of Lolita Beckford-Dawkins and her friends (including her husband) asked

for a photo as they were leaving the store. Well allegedly, Cardi B ignored

them until Lolita screamed the following at her "F*** you Cardi, you ain't sh**" Lolita and

her "people" said Cardi B was fake, but according to the folks at TheBlast.com,

Cardi B told them that, due to her condition

(you know she's carrying around a whole human being), she is not too fond of

having her picture taken right now. She doesn't like the way she looks, which is

understandable, but cardi B doesn't seem to understand that she is a major star

(right now) and the people who helped her get there might want to take a picture

with her or get an autograph every now and then. In the future, she needs to

start doing what other stars do to avoid the people who helped them make it to the

top like, make arrangements to shop before or after regular business hours

or hire a personal shopper or send an assistant. Pick one, Cardi. Now, although

Las Vegas Lolita appeared to be gunning for Cardi (and her husband even had to

intervene), she insisted that as a mother of five, she would NEVER put her hands on

a pregnant woman, but as a mother five shouldn't she also know that it's not a

good idea to stress a pregnant woman out by yelling "F*** you Cardi, you ain't sh**" at her?

And also, as a mother of five and a grown a$$ woman,

shouldn't she understand why a pregnant star

like Cardi, who claims to have a lot of haters, would be reluctant to allow

total strangers to get close to her? I mean, you never know what a person might

do, so I understand why Cardi chose to keep her distance. But if she did indeed

ignore them, I think that's wrong. I mean, she should have at least had her "people"

tell them that she's not feeling well or or they could take a picture of her from

a distance or something like that. I think it's totally wrong to leave your

fans hanging like that, if that is what happened. And Mrs. Beckford-Dawkins, if

you are by chance listening to this, please don't take this the wrong way

(lately people have misconstrued every word that has come out of my mouth), but

get yourself an anger management therapist and a manager (if you haven't

already done so) and capitalize off this incident. Clearly, you have a little bit

of an anger issue and you also have expensive taste and I know kids are

expensive too. (I) don't have any of my own, but I spend quite a bit of money on

other people's kids, so I know how it is. I don't know what y'all were doing in

the Fendi store with five kids at home anyway (unless y'all just got it like

that-after all it is Vegas who knows), but if y'all don't got it like that, don't be

afraid to get out there and get it. Anyway, let me know what you guys think

Veneering a fire rated door (Voice Over Version) - Duration: 7:36.

so I was commissioned to build all the doors in the house for our clients and

of course they wanted them all to match which was all fine and good until I got

to the door leading out to the garage. The building code stated that it needs

to be a 20-minute fire rated door. That presented a little bit of a challenge

the Builder came up with the idea to veneer a fire door to look like the rest

of the doors so that's what I did

this project started out just like your

typical woodworking project planing and milling all the materials Square to its rough size

For this project I did shops sawn veneers and whenever I do a shop

sawn veneer I make sure my material is perfectly square it really helps the

blade track right and less likely for any kind of blade drift to happen

between each pass through the band so I went back to the jointer to flatten the

face out and make sure I was still square to the edge

I don't have a drum sander but I do have a helical head in my planer and it works

really well for cleaning up the face of the veneer

I make sure I use a nice flat board to run them on just to help prevent any kind of chipping or blowout

on that fin of a veneer

it also helps to make your veneers are three or four inches

longer than they're necessary because usually if you come across a problem

where it blows up in the end the planer it's always on the end so you can just

cut off the area though that chips out or blows up

I'm just laying out the veneers on the door and taping them together getting ready to glue them down

one of the nice things about shop sawn veneers is they're a little bit thicker

than your store-bought stuff so if you're not creating a nice tight joint

when you butt them together you can run them back across the jointer and clean

that edge back up the thickness of these veneers are about 3/16 of an inch

I've been asked before why don't use a blue tape when I do my veneers and for

for two main reasons one in theory the near tape when it dries it's it shrinks

and helps keep that joint tight and two I've used blue tape before and after you

pull it out of the vacuum bag that stuff is is really tough to get back off so

the veneer tape you can wet it and scrape it off but I usually sand it because

I don't want to add a bunch of moisture or I could which could possibly cause

the the panel to cup so I usually just use a card scraper and clean it up that

way and then sand the rest off

to give the door the illusion that had Stiles down the side I glued on a

quarter inch thick by four inch wide piece and that created a nice reveal and

gave me enough room for the stainless steel as well a couple of the veneers on

the main panel got a little bit off when I taped them together so I'm just

re establishing a straight edge with my veneer saw since the door was so big and

hard to handle by myself I glued it up in four sessions the first session I

glued the large main veneer panel and I just clamped one of the stiles to the

edge of the door and used that to line it up and put it up against and then I

taped off the other side to keep that area clean so any kind of glue

squeeze-out wouldn't be in the way for the next next session where I glued the

Stiles on

on the first glue-up I used this paper that was supposed to absorb any excess

glue squeeze-out and prevent it from sticking to the breather mesh it was

such a huge pain in the butt to try to manage all these different components

and get everything in the bag on this large of a piece on the on the rest of

the glue ups I didn't use the paper I just used the breather mesh.

Now I'm trying to get this huge heavy door in this vacuum back and it is a beast. I got

some scrap wood underneath the door to act as a spacer so I can kind of shimmy

this vacuum bag underneath it as I work along. It was it was quite the chore

the vacuum bag I'm using is a heavy-duty vinyl it's four and a half feet wide by

nine feet long so I can put just about anything in you want in there

getting the bag off was much easier than getting it on but it was still a struggle

I need to come up with a better solution to this I can't say that I'll

ever put epoxy in a vacuum bag again as soon as I pulled the vacuum on it that

stuff foamed up and made a huge mess everywhere what you're seeing me do is

the the second side of the door the first side of the door I didn't use as

much blue tape so it was a huge mess to clean it up off the face of the steel

and off of the wood itself so the second time around I use blue tape on

everything to try to contain the mess, but man, what a mess don't put epoxy

in a vacuum bag

and there we have it a 20 minute fire rated door that looks just like the

other doors that built
