Youtube daily May 24 2018

Hey, this is the Daily Overpass, my name is Eric and I make apps!

Now today, I wanna talk about how app rejections are the new normal!

Alright, so last week I released an update to Ear Spy which is my biggest app on the

iOS store, on the app store, and it was a very simple release.

The app has been on the app store since 2012 and every so often I release a minor little

update just to update the admob libraries, put a new link to terms and conditions in,

that kind of stuff.

Just a minor update, no new major functionality, nothing like that.

And I just released it last Friday night and of course Saturday I get a rejection.

And can you guess what the rejection is - 4.3 spam!

Again, again for this app! they say "this app is similar to other apps you have on the

app store" and that's completely false, they haven't even looked at it!

This was the one app which is unique from all the other ones, it doesn't share any of

the same code, any of the same functionality, the same description, the same anything as

any of the other apps on my account, but it was flagged up again!

It's very similar to last month where I released a new app, completely new and fresh and that

was hit for 4.3, also spam, right, that's the go-to response.

And I argued with them that time and said "this app is not like any of the other ones.

I know that you might have an issue with a couple of the apps on my account which I need

to work on", and I went through and I deleted more than half of them.

So I appealed it and I appealed it, and then finally I got somebody on the phone and they

had a look at it and said "ok, yes I can understand, I'll give this the go-ahead", and then it

went through.

I'm gonna have to do the whole same song and dance with this one because it's been unjustly

rejected.

And I'm starting that this is the new normal.

At least, it's a new normal for me.

I feel like I'm on the no fly list.

when you hear about people who for whatever reason got on a no-fly list, every time they

travel, it's more difficult for them, and I kind of feel like it's the same way with

the app store.

I know it's not everybody because I have clients where we release apps for them and it's fine,

they have no problems.

They might get kicked back a bit for some meta data or something but for the 4.3 it's

not a big deal.

I always think it's because I have so many apps on the app store that that's the reason

it's doing that, that's why I'm going through and deleting all of them and removing all

the free ones from the app store.

But I'm starting to hear from a lot of people who are getting hit from 4.3 when they just

have one or two apps on the app store.

So, this is just the new normal.

Now, I could feel sorry for myself and just get in a bad mood and say "i'm not gonna do

the app store anymore", and by the way, I've done all of those things so far this morning!

I've been like "man, man..!"

I'm still a little bit upset if you can't tell, but I have to go through it.

I have to go through and...by the way, when I say appeal, a lot of people are asking about

that, like when they send rejections through, I just put the response there - can you have

a look at this again please?

This is not correct.

If you have a look at any of the other apps, if it can be a container with any of the other

apps on my account, please point out which one because it is beyond me!

It doesn't share the functionality, or the code, or anything with any of the other apps

on the app store, but I'm dealing in logic and they're dealing with 'I don't wanna have

to review this'.

And I really do think that it is a case of them just rubber stamping it saying "uh yeah,

I don't wanna do this one, He's got a lot of apps, it's probably similar to one of the

other ones!"

So I've gotta go through that whole song and dance, and I really am getting tired of the

whole Apple thing.

It's almost like they don't want the indie developer anymore.

I honestly think that.

I think that they're happy with the big apps, they're happy with the Rovio's and the King

and everything like that, they're good!

All that there's an app for that kind of thing, they're good, they don't need any more, but

I'm just being cynical.

I guess I just need to calm down, get this thing approved, go through the whole thing,

get somebody on the phone, work my case, I'm sure that it's gonna get approved eventually,

but it's just a pain!

Especially with stuff you've got like GDPR, a lot of us need to go through it and put

terms and conditions into the applications and stuff like that, and that's really hard

when every time you try to do something it's like "ooh no!!"

It's like trying to run with your shoes tied together.

Just trying to do anything on Apple, they're just slowing everything down!

But they're a lot better than they used to be.

It used to take 10 days to come up with a decision like that, at least now I get rejected

in a fraction of the time!

So anyway, I know it's not a really good topic for this one, except for the fact that Apple

sucks.

I don't want this to just be a rant video, but I just wanna give you guys an update because

a lot of you guys go through the same kind of stuff too and you're not alone, but it

is annoying!

It is annoying.

So anyway, that's it for today, I'll talk to you guys again tomorrow!

Jeep Wrangler Raxiom 7" 13 LED Headlights with Partial Halo (1997-2018 TJ & JK) Review & Install - Duration: 8:24.

Upgrading your stock headlights to LEDs is gonna give you a brighter, cleaner, and more

uniform light overall.

These Raxiom 13 LED headlights with a partial halo are gonna do just that and serve as a

great replacement if you've busted up one of your headlights on the trail.

These are also gonna give you a very unique look as well as a very refreshed look to the

front end of your TJ or JK.

At the moment, these are right around $330 and that's gonna be a pretty average price

point for headlights on the page right now.

Usually, headlights can range anywhere from $100 for the budget selling [SP] brands, all

the way up to $900 for the premium brands.

I personally think with what you're getting out of these headlights with the bright LEDs,

the very long lifespan, and the rugged housing that it's definitely a deal.

Not to mention, you also get a two-year limited warranty.

Install is gonna be a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter.

And now let's jump over to the Jeep so I can show you how to do that.

The tools that we use for this install are a flathead screwdriver, a quarter inch drive

ratchet, and T15 Torx bit.

So first thing's first, we need to pop the hood and pop the grille off in order to access

our headlights.

So in order to get the grille off, you have to remove these six pop clips up top.

You could either use a trim removal tool or a flathead.

I'm gonna use a flathead.

Just be careful of paint on your grille.

Once those are removed, you can fully remove the grille.

Just make sure you're careful of your wiring harnesses on your turn signals.

You can disconnect that after the grille is leaning forward and then you can fully remove

the grille.

So once we have the grille fully removed, we have full access to the front of the headlight.

We need to remove the four screws all around the headlight trim in order to remove it.

And we're gonna remove them with a T15 torx bit.

Now, with this last bolt, make sure you have a handle on your light, because as soon as

you remove it, it will fall out of place.

After that last screw is off, you can fully remove your headlight and unclip the harness.

And now you can remove the other side.

So sitting these two side-by-side on the table, you can tell that there is a huge difference

aesthetically.

With your new LED light, you're getting a bunch of LEDs on a black aluminum housing

with a riveted accenting around it for a very stealthy look in comparison to your stock

dull chrome reflectors.

So along with the aesthetics, you're also getting a huge upgrade in performance.

Like I mentioned, you have 13 Osram LEDs that are gonna produce up roughly 1,800 lumens

at the high beams and roughly 800 lumens at the low beams, not to mention you're also

gonna get a bright white color temperature at 6400K in comparison to your stock lights,

which are roughly gonna have 3000K.

So now let's get these in the Jeep and see how they work.

So first thing's first, when you're installing these new lights, you wanna make sure that

you swap over the trim because that's gonna be what's holding in the light housing.

You also wanna make sure that if you're installing these on a JK that you use your H4 to H13

conversion harness.

If you're installing these on a TJ, you won't need that because it will already adapt to

your stock wiring harness.

You also need to make sure that your LED canvas is in the middle of those, and that's gonna

prevent the anti-flickering from the lower resistant LEDs.

This little red wire here will be for your halos, and you can run those into whatever

you like.

But personally, we are gonna run those into our parking lights for a daytime running light.

So now we can plug our wiring harness into our stock wiring harness but make sure before

you mount up your headlight completely that you wire in your halos.

Once your halos are wired up, you can mount up your headlights using the existing trim

and the factory hardware.

Once one is in, it's pretty easy to get the rest and since your headlight is not moving

around.

So as I mentioned before while I had the stock lights and these new lights side by side,

these have an aluminum housing which is gonna be very durable.

They're also gonna be durable against water and dust because they're IP67 rated.

These are sealed in the back unlike your stock lights where the light bulb actually just

twists out.

So, they're gonna be completely dustproof, and if you take a front end nose dive into

a puddle of water, these are gonna be completely protected.

So let's plug in this into the stock wiring harness and go ahead and bolt these up.

So the next step is popping the grille back on.

But before you do that, I would recommend to check out the headlights, turn them on

and adjust them so you're not blinding oncoming traffic.

You can do that with the same T15 Torx bit and this adjuster bolt on the side.

Now we can plug in our turn signals and pop our grille back on.

So let's finish up this install by putting in our six pop clips.

So at this point, all we need to do is close our hood and we're all set.

So that wraps it up for my review and install on the Raxiom 7-inch 13 LED headlights with

a partial halo.

BREAKING: What Just Happened To President Trump Means FULL BLOWN WAR!!! - Duration: 2:15.

BREAKING: What Just Happened To President Trump Means FULL BLOWN WAR!!!

President Trump blasted the "Criminal Deep State" early Wednesday, suggesting things

have "turned around" in "SPYGATE," following revelations of a reported FBI informant

snooping on the Trump campaign, Fox News reports.

"Look how things have turned around on the Criminal Deep State.

They go after Phony Collusion with Russia, a made up Scam, and end up getting caught

in a major SPY scandal the likes of which this country may never have seen before!

What goes around, comes around!"

~ President Donald Trump

"SPYGATE could be one of the biggest political scandals in history!"

~ President Trump

The Presidents comments come after reports that an FBI informant communicated with at

least three members of his campaign—Foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos, Trump

aide Carter Page and campaign adviser Sam Clovis.

During a Tuesday appearance on 'The View', no less than the former Director of National

Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper described what was done by the Obama administration

to Donald's Trump campaign as "spying."

"With the informant business, well, the point here is the Russians.

Not spying on the campaign but what are the Russians doing?

And in a sense, unfortunately, what they were trying to do is protect our political system

and protect the campaign."

What's more, Blake and Clapper attempting to spin idea that the Obama administration

was spying on the Trump campaign for "friendly" purposes is beyond laughable, and we know

this was not the case for the reasons Hume points out: the Trump campaign was never informed

of this counter-intelligence operation for the simple reason that this counter-intelligence

operation had been launched against Trump and his campaign, Breitbart reported.

THINGS NOBODY TELLS YOU ABOUT FAMILY (Let Go Sometimes) - Duration: 1:47.

THINGS NOBODY TELLS YOU ABOUT FAMILY

The family is the most important element in our lives. They're supposed to nurture, love and support us.

But all too often, that's not the case for many. . .

"The family is supposed to be that place where you feel protected, grounded, and loved.

But sometimes it's the place where we find our most profound pain and anguish."

Some of the most poisonous people come disguised as family.

And to the people that say you should respect your family, don't assume everyone has been treated well by their family.

Some families burned the bridge with you a long time ago, and they have the nerve to ask "why you don't come to visit?" (ouch!).

It's not easy to let people go that you've had close ties with. But in order to regain your peace, sometimes you have to do just that. Even if it's "family".

Now you know: THINGS NOBODY TELLS YOU ABOUT FAMILY

Trung Quốc Bắn Laser Vào Phi Công Mỹ Ở Djibouti? | Trung Quốc Không Kiểm Duyệt - Duration: 5:06.

Welcome back to China Uncensored.

I'm Chris Chappell.

Remember when laser weapons were the domain

of stormtroopers and Death Stars?

Well, the future of military-grade lasers has arrived

and it's...a little scary.

In a test,

this laser weapon developed for the US military

shot down five drones.

And check out this one:

a Tactical High Energy Laser code named THEL.

It can track, lock onto, and fire a laser

at an incoming missile or artillery shell

and shoot it down mid-flight.

In fact, some laser weapons are so dangerous

they've been banned.

Both the US and China signed

the Protocol on Blinding Laser Weapons.

It bans the use of lasers

that can cause permanent blindness.

But... it seems that the Chinese military

just used a laser weapon on American pilots.

I mean, it's been 20 years since China signed that treaty.

Maybe they forgot.

And to be fair,

1998 was a long time ago.

I mean, back in 1998,

we were watching Young Hercules,

while playing Pokemon and listening to Britney Spears

and...oh my God I'm so old.

What's that, Shelley?

Oh right, lasers.

There have been about ten recent incidents

where Chinese military personnel

allegedly pointed high-powered lasers at US planes

flying near a US military base.

It's been happening in the African nation of Djibouti—

where both the US and China have military bases

within a few miles of each other.

In...Djibouti.

A DOD spokesperson said that in a recent incident,

two American cargo plane pilots

were injured by the Chinese lasers.

They are very serious incidents.

There have been two minor injuries.

This activity poses a threat to our airmen.

We have formally demarched the Chinese government

and we have requested the Chinese investigate these incidents.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry—

surprise, surprise—

denies everything.

Their spokesperson also demanded that reporters

"remind relevant people in the US

to pay attention to facts."

Well the fact is that last year

China opened its first ever foreign military base

about a mile away from the US base in Djibouti,

on the horn of Africa.

And, according to the American general

that oversees US operations in Africa,

there goes the neighborhood.

U.S. Marine Corps General Thomas Waldhauser

diplomatically said there's a lot of "learning" and "growing"

going on because this is the first time ever

a "peer competitor" opened up shop

so close to an American base.

And that this poses some

"very significant operational security concerns."

But whoever's tagging planes with lasers

on the Horn of Africa is also putting pilots at risk.

The Federal Aviation Administration last month published

a warning to pilots to use extreme caution in the area.

"There have been multiple lazing events

involving a high-power laser in the vicinity."

"Lazing events"?

I thought lazing events looked more like this.

But according to the South China Morning Post,

"Chinese military observers say the lasers

may have been used to scare away birds."

Oh, yeah.

I can see how a C-130 Hercules cargo plane

that weighs 30 tons and has a wingspan of 120 feet

could be mistaken for a flock of seagulls.

And of course there's no way the Chinese military

could be getting freakishly possessive

about the air space around their naval base in Djibouti.

At least until the Chinese government

issues a statement calling the airspace

around their naval base in Djibouti

part of Chinese territory since ancient times.

For now, though,

it seems the Pentagon is leaving open

the possibility that some overzealous Chinese personnel

might have been acting on their own—

and that it's not actually a top-level policy-driven territorial dispute.

But just in case,

learning to deflect laser blasts

might not be a bad idea.

So what do you think about allegations

of Chinese personnel shooting lasers at US planes?

Leave your comments below.

Once again, I'm Chris Chappell.

See you next time.

Stay where you are!

Because I'm going to answer another fan question.

This one comes from David Michael White.

He asks:

"Chris, what is your favorite piece of literature from China?"

I actually love Chinese literature, so I'm a bit torn on what answer to give.

I'd say my favorite of the Four Classics is Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

But if you'd like something a little more modern,

I'd say The Three-Body Problem trilogy by Liu Cixin.

Some of the best science fiction I've ever read.

It ranks right up there with Isaac Asimov's Foundation series.

Thanks for the question.

As I mentioned on Wednesday,

at the end of each episode

I'm going to answer a question from a member

Nightcore - Comeback (NEFFEX) | Lyrics - Duration: 2:27.

I keep on working got purpose and worth

Musics my cure and this world is my purse

Get rid of this curse with every verse

Of course I've been hurt

But some have it much worse

Leave me alone

Get out of my head

Block out the opinions until I am dead

They all go to speak but should listen instead

Listen some more and you'll seize to regret

I keep on working I got it on track

You gonna see my name up on a flag

I sail this ship and I'll never comeback

I keep this bitch on a line to attack

Never look back

I make a racket like crash

Top of my bracket I smash

Hunt like a pack

I'm bout to stack it like cash

it's gonna happen so fast

I have never changed myself

I've always stayed the same no doubt

I've always played the game all out

And I am here to stay right now

So don't call it a comeback

I ain't running here to stay

Steady gunning do my thang

I don't look the other way

I stare that mother fucker straight uh

Dont care what they say no

Everyone's the same

Don't get caught up in their games

Just pick a lane and do your thang yuh

I don't just wanna be great

I'll be the best

Make everybody forget all the rest

Man I feel blessed

Bullet proof vest

Over my chest for the haters requests

Ill be ok

I picked my lane

I'ma stick to it like whores to the fame

This is the game

That we all play

I have never changed myself

I've always stayed the same no doubt

I've always played the game all out

And I am here to stay right now

So don't call it a comeback
