Teenager Learns to Walk And Talk Against All Odds After Botched Appendix Surgery Left Her Paralysed - Duration: 4:44.

Anna had been feeling slightly unwell stomach pains she'd had them a couple

of days my mum actually took her up to Wigan Infirmary just to the A&E the day

after they do a couple of scans and then they say it's her appendix so off she

goes to theatre back on the ward Anna was all twitching and I was asking

people what was wrong and they sent me away for like meant to get a cup of tea and

when I will coming back the anaesthetist ran past me so I just chased him I

don't know why I chased him I haven't got a clue but I chased him right up

to rainbow ward and I asked him then was it about my Anna and he

told me it was nothing to do with that I find out a good half an hour

later she'd suffered a cardiac arrest

she'd been 15 three days she was doing amazing at school very very high estimated

grades for her GCSEs fully talking more than competent teenager don't get me

wrong she was cheeky and give me a bit of grief but last year while she was

well above average brown belt at karate there were nothing she couldn't do

nothing at all she was just one of them gifted children but I know she come home

she couldn't talk she she couldn't do anything anything at all and I had

compared her to a newborn baby as in the newborn baby can't do anything for

themselves and neither could Anna

I'd spend six months easy six months just researching different words in

Google medical injuries children Pediatrics brain injury and there was

only one name that kept coming back so yeah I sent them an email that's how we

started with Slater and Gordon

I'd say Anna's had the best of everything and that is including the legal side of

it as I did research and research and research and every person I've met from

the legal team have always had Anna's best interests at heart

definitely she's our Anna my Anna and that's what the call her so that that is

the personal side of it she's not A.W. or she's not client X she's Anna

and they've always maintained that they've treated her as an individual

and that's what Anna is

everything that Anna needs Slater and Gordon have helped us guarantee that we will get

that that is there now the interim payments have been important making

sure Anna's got the best therapists the best equipment the right wheelchair

the parallel bars the plinth was a vehicle on the front we don't have to

rely on public transport Anna's bought her own house Slater and Gordon have oh

they've been great on every aspect of it though and it's sorted and Anna's

financially sorted for life and I thank Slater and Gordon for that because I wouldn't

have been able to do it without law that's a definite

and never ever complains never says why me doesn't live in self-pity for that in

itself is inspirational because everything was so unlikely unlikely to

do this not be able to do that well she's proved everybody wrong you

have you quite like that though don't you yeah yeah they're wrong we do to have this recovery were only a

dream they were to even beginning its reality

now what's your favourite motto being in a wheelchair won't stop me being in your chair won't stop you

I came back here, for the second time, in the Castle of Pinarolo Po

Today we going to explore all of the parts we have not seen in the last episode

Exactly a month later...

A part of the castle is collapse

And is the part you can see in this images

This disaster is the testimony that the castle is really dangerous.

These photos shot just a few days after disaster

An ugly story

But this isn't the argument of this video

I want to take you to the hidden beauties in the castle

Like this cavern

An ancient icebox

Come from medieval times

But now is time to go...

In the castle, in particular to the mysterious parts of the fortress

The second floor, under the stairs and the basement

Under the stairs I found a writing from the 1700s

But now is time to go on the secondo floor, it's the most unedited part of the building.

In the while I will tell you the history of the castle

Originally the castle had 4 towers

In the angles

A courtyard

And a deep ditch

With only one entrance

Through a drawbridge

Build on the Verzate Creek, artificially diverted

There was a time the castle had a fifth tower

In the middle of the courtyard

It was tall 20 meters

The castle was built from noble Malaspina family in 1300s

In 1713 it was propriety of Giovanni Antonio Beccaria

From 1750 to 1799 the castle was propriety of the noble family of Bellisomi of Pavia

A noble family very important in this territory

In 1800 was destroyed the great tower, used in time of war for cannons

The story of castle in 1800s is very complicate

With many propriety passages

On 13 December 1872 the castle it was passed to Meadri Family

And it transform the castle in an extension of municipality

On 1892 the castle was used as a school

In 1900s start a slow decay

With the passage of other owners

The electrical system and the bathrooms inside the castle was added in 1954

In 80s will go away the last keepers

And now we are at the and of this story

Now it's time for decay and chaos
