Youtube daily Jan 23 2019

Today I'm hitting up 99 Jamz for an interview with Supa Cindy

and DJ Entice.

I know the TNT fans wanna hear from Trick and Trina,

but my hands are tied.

Trick won't get off his ass and hold up his end of bargain.

But, in the meantime, I'm letting the world know

that the diamond princess has a lot still in the works.

Hey! How are you?

How are you? I'm good. Good to see.

Good to see you too. Welcome back.

Yes. Thank you for having me.

Hey!

I'm super excited about this interview.

Yo! [inaudible 00:00:33]

Hey Bobby! What's going on?

You are here.

Yes. By the grace of Trina.

Is it called bring your child to work day?

Let's run get our notes, and we'll do this. Ready?

Okay. We'll be right back.

After seeing Bobby at the video shoot the other day,

I'm really considering signing him to my label.

So, I invited Bobby along today,

so he can see how I handle this end of the business.

Thank you for having me.

Of course. I feel honored.

I'm happy you came, just to see me talk to Cindy

and Entice about my album, the project, the label.

I'm dispersing this whole TNT project.

I'm not gonna allow that to distract me anymore

from what I have to do.

And, I have so much other things to worry about.

Like these eyeglass lines.

I'm supposed to bring some for ...

Actually, a gift bag for Cindy.

Alvin haven't brought them. He's supposed to drop them off.

Alvin? Are we serious right now?

Yeah.

Bobby, you're a motherfucking bum.

You're beneath me, bitch. And, you'll always be.

Shut the fuck up, bitch.

A lot of stuff that he's doing, just like interviews and-

Interviews?

Yes. It's not about me. It's about his ... You're crazy.

He don't know his position no more.

He's lost sight of the fact that he has to steal from

[inaudible 00:01:40]

dudes to someone that put him on,

and brought him along to this lifestyle.

He needs to be fired.

Alvin has gotten on my last nerves lately.

He showed up late for a meeting that I was having

for a new sunglass line that I was launching.

And then, he was acting all arrogance

and talking a bunch of trash.

Hey! So, this is your new line?

Yeah.

I have to make sure that this brand

is a great brand for Trina.

You came late. That means you're way too busy for me.

And, I'm still dealing with the fall out from the TNT project.

I've never needed my team more than I do now.

And, I feel like they're all becoming

a bunch of prima donnas.

I don't know how you do it, hearing all this on your plate.

But, I gotta know what's up with Rockstarr Music Group?

I'm still trying to figure out what to actually do with you,

you know what I mean?

What to do with me?

I'm starting to think Trina's taking me for granted.

I got approached recently by another record label.

Maybe they'll know what to do with me.

Let's do a song together. The fans would go crazy.

I'll think about that.

Let's focus on everything else first.

Okay.

You just have to have a little patience,

and you just keep grinding and working.

And, we'll see what happens.

Hey! Welcome back, guys.

So guys, we're about to get started

with the interview, okay?

Okay.

Patience.

Lil Rel Howery Does His John Malkovich Impression - Duration: 4:29.

-When "Bird Box" came out, you weren't even here.

You were on vacation, right? -Well, when it came out,

I went on vacation. I was in Maui.

I took a trip by myself. I did a "Eat Pray Love."

[ Cheers and applause ]

-You did an "Eat Pray Love?" -I did an "Eat Pray Love" trip.

-And how was that? By yourself?

-It was great, man. I was -- first of all,

everybody was worried about me because I wanted to go alone.

They were like, "Why you're gonna go by yourself?

You don't know nobody." I'm like, "Yes, I'm good.

I just want to go by myself." [ Laughter ]

I spent a lot of time in the ocean by myself

letting the waves hit me. -Yeah.

[ Laughter ]

-Just me lined up on the beach with a bunch of kids.

[ Laughter ]

-"Is he okay?"

-"Who's this grown man here?"

Come on, he's having a good time.

So, man, I took the trip.

But it's like when you're by yourself,

people always find a way to like -- It was families.

It was not like that. Black and white people,

we different on vacation.

White people are really nosey. "So you're by yourself?"

[ Laughter ]

I'm like, "Yeah, I came alone." "Right..."

I mean, you can hang out with us."

And they start telling me all their business.

I'm like, "That's too much." -Yeah.

-But then, the black families you see,

they'll just whisper to me.

"Hey bro, we know who you is.

We ain't trying to blow up your spot."

-Yeah. "We'll leave you alone."

-"We see this family adopted you.

But if you need some help, just..."

[ Laughter ]

-Blink, blink, blink three times.

-That's a true story, too. After the luau, they was like,

"Look, when the fires comes out,

if you need help, just do your glasses like this."

[ Laughter ]

-They want to help you.

-Man, that's a true story. -Really?

-Yeah. [ Laughs ]

-When "Bird Box" -- When they premiered,

it was on your birthday.

-Yeah, we did a premiere in New York on my birthday

on the red carpet. I've never --

I don't know if I'll ever have a birthday like that again.

It was one of the greatest birthdays,

like a red carpet premiere.

You've got Sandra Bullock there.

And she's telling everybody it's your birthday.

She bought me some cupcakes.

Every place we did press at, they gave me cake.

So I had like a room -- my hotel room was full of cakes.

[ Laughter ]

Every interview I did had a cake for me.

-Is that right? -I'm not lying.

I had like six cakes.

Whoever cleaned up my room afterwards was like,

"This dude is either a serial killer or it's his birthday."

[ Laughter ]

-His birthday or a serial killer.

-Yeah. I was like --

-Well happy, happy, happy birthday.

For those of you who haven't seen "Bird Box" yet,

how do we set it up? How do we talk about it?

-Oh, we got a clip? -Yeah.

-Oh, that's cool. I think --

I've always want to do that on a talk show.

Oh, I get to explain the clip. -Yeah, exactly, yeah.

We'll do it. -This clip is pretty much me,

my character Charlie,

explaining to everybody what he think this is.

He's been one of those conspiracy theorists --

-Yeah. -That just look up stuff

for no reason. -Yep.

-He worked at a grocery store. He's really --

Listen, I had to turn into this dude.

So I kind of lost my mind for like two months.

[ Laughter ] -Oh, you did, right?

-Yeah. 'Cause I had to believe --

-Yeah. -What I was saying.

Now when I first -- I had to do it twice.

First time I did it, I did it as an actor.

And I said everything. And it was cool.

And then, Susanne, our director was like,

"no, you have to -- you have to have feeling.

We have to feel this." I'm like, "All right. Cool."

Man, I was like, "All right."

So John Malkovich and his wife helped me study this.

I know that's so random.

John Malkovich is in the movie. -Yeah.

-And he helped me -- his -- I didn't understand

what I was talking about.

He was like, "Hold on, let me call my wife.

Baby, Rel doesn't understand some of the things he said.

Could you explain it to him?

And she just started breaking everything down to me.

I'm like, "Yo, who is your wife? Are y'all spies?"

You know what I mean? [ Laughter ]

-So you got real method. -Dude, they got real.

And I ended up learning what it was.

And then that's how this scene happened.

-Oh, it's fantastic. I want to show everyone a clip.

Here is Lil Rel in "Bird Box." Take a look at this.

-You've got world religion and mythology.

And it's full of mentions of demons or spirit creatures

that takes on the form of your worst fears

or your deepest sadness or your greatest loss.

-Man, that is religious talk. -It's real talk.

It's facts. They come in all different forms.

Right. You've got the Surgat

from ancient Christian occult beliefs

that made pregnant women

encounter their unborn children

as other creatures such as lobsters or spiders.

You've got the huli jing from China.

You've got the púca from Celtic mythology.

All different names, but the same thing.

-And what's that?

-The end of us.

-Charlie? Did you learn all of that working at the supermarket?

-No, I've been just studying it for years.

-In college? -Not college, per se.

But I mean the Internet.

I mean that's where you get all your information from.

I'm working on a novel, guys. [ Laughter ]

-Come on, guys. [ Cheers and applause ]

-Lil Rel Howery, everybody.

Come on, weed scientists.

I was skeptical about Charmaine's position.

But if she's gonna put us in a place

that we can buy high-grade weed in Vegas legally?

I'm gon' (bleep) Charmaine!

Well, not (bleep) Charmaine, but I'm for-- I'm for Charmaine.

Connie Britton Was Kirsten Gillibrand's Roommate in China - Duration: 6:16.

-You look fantastic as always, and I want to congratulate you.

Obviously right after the inauguration,

there was a Women's March.

This is now -- It was three years ago.

Or three Women's March ago. You just had the third one.

-Three Women's Marches ago. We did.

-And you are a veteran now of all three.

-We. We. We. All of us. We.

-But you've been to each one now at this point.

-I have, yes.

-And so how was the third Women's March?

Do you feel the energy is the same?

-I did. I was there in L.A. over the weekend.

And I was a little worried.

I thought, oh, people are going to think,

"Oh, we don't need to do it three years later."

But it was so great. People were out.

Women and men and kids and -- Everybody was out.

And it was --

It felt like it always feels, which is very empowering

and very great for everybody. -Well, that's exciting

because, you know, obviously, it made a lot of sense

why there was an energy for it the first couple of years,

but, you know, the midterms were certainly more positive

for women than the previous election had been.

And so a fear would be,

oh, people would think this is a job done.

But that was not the case. -Right.

"Oh, we did it all in the midterms, and now it's done."

But we're so far. We still have a long way to go.

-Yes.

-So, you know, it's just been an exciting time.

Um, antithetical

to less exciting things happening in the country.

-Yes. -Am I being subtle?

But, you know, it's been an exciting time

for people to find their voices and get out

and peacefully protest for the betterment for everybody.

-You have an interesting thing happening right now,

which is an ex-roommate of yours...

-Yes. ...from college days

announced she is going to run for president.

-Right. -Yeah. Kirsten Gillibrand.

-Of the United States. -Of the United States, yeah.

She was like, "I'm going to run for president,"

and you were like, "Of where?"

-"Of where? Tell me everything!"

Of the United States. -Yeah!

-I know. Kirsten Gillibrand and I went to college together.

We roomed. We both studied Chinese.

-Uh-huh. -We roomed together in China.

And now she's running for freakin' president!

-Yeah. -That's so weird.

And it's kind of cool, when you --

when I know the person who is running.

I'm like, "Oh, she actually is a good person."

-Yeah!

-"Oh. I actually can speak to them. That's awesome."

You know, it's not guesswork. It's not guesswork, you see.

-It would be very obvious if I said,

"Do you think she'll do a good job?"

And you were like, "Uh..." -Yeah, yeah, yeah.

-It'll be interesting.

If it ever reached a point where she would debate the incumbent,

which would happen, you know.

It would be very different, because she has studied Chinese,

and he thinks it's pronounced "Jina."

-Right.

[ Laughter ]

-So it's very divergent.

They're very -- I think they come from very different places.

They come from very different places.

She actually came and read -- She read her book here --

-Wait. I can't. That's too funny.

Okay. I'm over it.

-There she is, reading -- There she is.

-That's right. At my son's school.

-Your son, Eyob, is 8?

-He's turning 8 on Friday. Turning 8 on Friday.

That's amazing. -Can you believe that?!

-And -- -How did that happen?

-Last time you were here,

you were saying he was very into the guitar.

Is that -- Is he still musical?

-He is still in his rock band. -Gotcha.

-In fact, this weekend is a very eventful weekend

because we have his birthday and his birthday party,

and then on Sunday, he has his big rock show.

-Wow! -Yeah. He's playing guitar.

He's playing guitar on a --

Let's see. What song is it?

Oh, "Seven Nation Army." -Oh, great!

-And then he's doing a solo on "Demons" by Imagine Dragons.

-Fantastic.

-And then he's playing keys on another song.

-Now, when you say he has a show,

where do 8-year-olds do shows?

[ Laughter ]

Like, is it down at the --

-At a club! -At a club?

-At a club, Seth. At a club.

He's got his little pack of cigarettes.

-That's great. -Yeah.

-Obviously, he had to fake his hand stamp,

because he doesn't have I.D.

-Right, yeah. But, you know...

-What does he -- Obviously, I don't want to blow the surprise,

but does he give you a list

of things he wants for his birthday?

Is that a big part of it now?

-Well, um, yeah-ish.

I mean, it's harder as they get older.

-Yeah. -Because it's --

You know, it used to be like, "Look, more Legos! Yay."

Now it's like,

"I want the scooter that sparks when you ride it."

And I'm like, "I think that's a fire hazard."

-Right.

"But I got you a scooter you make out of Legos!"

-[ Laughs ] Exactly.

"Honey, how about the Lego scooter from when you were 5?"

No. It's very -- It gets increasingly difficult.

-It's very exciting that you're on this season of "SMILF."

We can tell from the clip this is sort of a different character

than maybe a Tami Taylor-type grounded woman.

-Right.

-She seems a little bit more out there, maybe a little entitled.

Is that accurate? -Yes, entitled.

That's a very good way to describe her.

And she's -- I --

She's somebody that we all, like, kind of recognize.

You know? Like --

Rich white lady who has everything

but she thinks that she's a victim.

-Yeah. -You know what I mean?

-Very in vogue right now.

-Like the lady who pushes past you at the Starbucks line

because she, you know, is 15 minutes late for yoga.

You know what I'm saying? -Yeah.

-That's that lady. But it's kind of fun to play.

-Like, uses the mat to kind of get you out of the way?

-Right. Exactly.

And then she's like, "Oh, oh! I hurt myself with my mat!"

You know, like, she's hurt. She's hurt, yeah.

-Was it fun? And then this is --

Actually, I want to ask about this.

So, Frankie Shaw's son plays your son on the show.

-Yes. -That's really cool.

-I know. It's so great. And Frankie's so amazing.

I hope you guys will check out "SMILF"

'cause it's hilariously funny

and not quite like anything you've ever seen before.

And Frankie has created it and writing it and directing it

and starring in every frame and editing it.

And her son plays my son on it, so it's a family affair.

-Family affair.

Always so great to see you. Thank you for being back.

When to Buy Insurance | Consumer Reports - Duration: 3:51.

You can buy insurance for all sorts of things.

But is it always a good idea?

Octavio Blanco, Money Editor at Consumer Reports,

says there are a lot of different factors to consider.

Let's take a look at some of the items I have here.

Well, you may not need to ensure this little guy,

but you might want to consider pet insurance for bigger pets,

like a cat or a dog.

[DOG BARKING]

According to the North American Pet Health Insurance

Association, in 2017, the average accident and illness

premium for pet insurance was $516.

The average accident and illness claim

was $278, which means if your pet is healthy,

you could have saved a lot of money

if you had just dealt with your vet

and not gotten the pet insurance.

So under what circumstances should

you buy pet insurance for cats and dogs?

Cancer treatments can run up to $5,000 or more.

And if you have an older pet who's

prone to diseases or health issues,

you might find pet insurance to be beneficial.

So factor in your pet's age and health

to make sure pet insurance is right for you.

Next up, cell phones.

I'll try and get there as soon as I can.

But if I can't, just go on ahead without me, OK?

Yeah.

[CRASHES]

Cell phone screens break all the time.

A recent survey found that 50% of people

reported that they experienced at least one major smartphone

fiasco during the last two years.

If you're not covered in some way, fixing a cell phone screen

can cost you as much as $277.

Insuring your smartphone for repair or replacement

might seem like a good idea, especially when premiums can

be as low as $7 to $36 a month.

However, before some insurance companies will pay you back

on any work done on a broken phone,

you'll have to meet a deductible.

A deductible is the amount you have to spend on a repair

before the insurance company will pay a claim.

Some policies only cover breakage and not theft

or if you lose it.

Accidents happen, so consider setting aside

some money in case of a repair.

Then you might not need insurance after all.

If you're a student, you'll probably have one of these.

Consider dorm insurance.

Things happen in college.

If you misplace your laptop or if it gets damaged or stolen,

these policies will likely cover a good portion of the cost

of fixing or replacing it.

Before you decide on buying dorm insurance,

check with your parents and ask them

if their homeowners or renters insurance

will cover your stuff at school.

It usually does.

However, it may not cover the full cost,

and there may still be a deductible.

So if your laptop is covered by your parents' homeowners

insurance, you might not need to worry about it.

Finally, let's kick the tires on car insurance.

Our advice with car insurance is shop around.

If you're a teen and want to buy your own car,

the insurance will probably be pricey.

You might be able to get a better rate on your parents'

insurance.

And parents, when your teen reaches driving age,

never blindly add him or her to your existing policy.

Instead, ask your insurer what it will charge,

then shop far and wide for a better deal.

So when it comes to car insurance,

make sure you look around for the best deal.

And that's some premium advice.

Number of workers on paternity leave jumps 47 percent to over 17,000 in 2018 - Duration: 0:44.

to over 17-thousand in 2018.

According to the labor ministry, there's been gradual increase year by year since 2009 when

just 5-hundred and 2 men took paid paternity leave.

Changing social atmosphere, policies that encourage a better work-life balance, and

financial support from the government are seen as key contributing factors to the trend.

More than 10-thousand male workers at large companies,... and some 4-thousand from small-and-mid-sized

firms took the leave last year.

S. Korean gov't tries to tackle fine dust problem as it continues to pollute the country - Duration: 1:52.

An ultrafine dust advisory was issued for Gyeonggi-do and Chungcheongbuk-do provinces

today, as the average concentration of this type of dust hit past 75 micrograms per cubic

meter in those regions.

Amid increasing concerns regarding toxic air pollution, efforts are taking place not only

at the governmental level, but also through unprecedented tests such as artificially inducing

precipitation.

Hong Yoo has the details.

Ultrafine dust particulates,... 33 times thinner than a strand of human hair and so small they

can't be filtered by our lungs, making this type of dust the most hazardous to our health.

To tackle the issue, the ministries of foreign affairs of Korea and China held a director-level

meeting on Wednesday, to discuss ways to cooperate on solving their fine dust pollution issue.

This meeting comes after the environment ministry officials of the two countries had a discussion

on the same issue on Tuesday.

However, it's uncertain whether China will contribute to reducing fine dust pollution,

as Beijing has showed a rather passive stance on the issue, failing to take responsability

over the problem.

Korea on the hand, is trying several measures that can help reduce the concentration of

fine dust in the air, such as a pilot program to be launched on Friday and that aims at

creating aritifical rain.

The experiment will take place in the western coastline of Gyeonggi-do Province.

The Korea Meteorological Administration and the Ministry of Environment will first spray

silver iodide on clouds, also known as cloud seeding.

This method is already being applied in China and Thailand to reduce PM 2.5 particles, but

more research is needed to fully verify its effectiveness.

Korea will conduct 15 cloud seeding tests this year.

The result of the first test will be announced next month.

Word Wednesday starts right now!

Hey guys it's Michael here from Happy English

and welcome back to another

Word Wednesday English lesson.

Each week on Wednesday we're going to talk about

different ways to help you improve

and remember vocabulary.

For today's Word Wednesday lesson, we're going to

continue with daily phrasal verbs.

Today's topic is THE MEETING.

First we're going to listen to a story which has

the phrasal verbs in context.

After the story, I'm going to go over the

meaning and usage of each phrasal verb.

Are you ready?

Let's check it out!

We usually pencil in a marketing meeting for Thursdays.

Sometimes we need to put off the meeting

until Fridays, because something can come up unexpectedly.

Honestly, I hate when the boss calls off a meeting at the last minute,

but you can't tell the boss to knock it off, can you?

Anyway my job is to put together the

social media report.

I break down all of the data that I pull off from our

servers.

It takes a few hours to look into everything

In our Karnataka, there are many ways in which they cook potato.

For that here I have taken 3 tablespoons of coconut oil to heat.

Once the oil is heated I will do the tempering.

Pinch of asafoetida.

Once the mustard seeds splutter, I will tear 6 dry chillies and add in.

Some curry leaves.

Here I have chopped 6 medium sized potatoes lengthwise.

I will add that.

Now to this let's add some salt.

Sauté it for 2 minutes and then close the lid and let it cook.

Kevin Huerter NBA draft workout- Fitness Artist - Duration: 2:49.

this is definitely my first go-around with that level. Kevin is phenomenal

inside and out and he just shows up ready to go. I've trained a lot of

athletes and some people have it and some people don't, but Kevin definitely

does. Every time he's in he's willing to work hard ,he's down the business, and I

never have to worry about him missing a session or saying you know what I'm

gonna sleep in today. He's always the the first person here and the last

person to leave. It all goes down to him. He's been putting in the hard work and

it's really awesome to see a local guy these local kids look up to him

and all the hard work he's put in. He's got a lot of great attributes and

he's got a lot of different strength points. This time around is a little

different with the injury we had to really kind of stay away from anything

with upper body. We like to add in the the strength components along with the

power which we did today. Really get his legs fired up and then also work on his

lateral movements, his speed, his agility. Well having to deal with the hand injury

has definitely forced him to slow it down a bit, but that won't stop him from

getting his workouts in. It's really cool to see how much he's grown over the

years. Not only is Kevin a pure shooter, but his court awareness and resiliency

is spectacular. He has a very high IQ both on and off the court. It's a great

testament to both his parents who have been nothing but a strong support system

for him. The time and financial investment it took on their end between carting

him all over the country for basketball tournaments and raising you know what a

true gentleman, is nothing short of amazing.

Kevin is a true professional and whatever team he goes to I guarantee you

they will be thrilled to have him
