Ninh explains the Rules of Shinty The object of the game is for your team to

score more goals than the opposing team.

Shinty is a game played predominantly in Scotland, between with two teams of 12 players for men

and 10 players for women.

To score a goal, a player must use their stick known a caman, to hit the ball into the goal.

The ball must completely cross the goal line for a goal to count.

The field is a maximum of 170 yards x 80 yards, with a centre circle and penalty spots marked

on the field.

Goals are 12ft wide and 10ft high, and surrounding the goals is the ten yard area, which is a

10 yard radius around the goal.

The game starts with a throw up, where the referee throws the ball between two opposing

players, and they must play for the ball in the air.

Once a team has possession of the ball, they will try and move the ball towards the opposing

goalkeeper and try and score.

You can pass the ball directly between teammates, play the ball in the air, or dribble the ball

by running and controlling the ball with both sides of the stick.

Unique to Shinty, you are also allowed to play the ball with your chest, or stop the

ball with both feet together.

The idea is to set up in good field position to be able to shoot the ball into the goal.

The opposing team will try and stop you by tackling.

They are allowed to block with the stick, use the stick to take the ball away from you,

and make shoulder to shoulder contact with the ball carrier.

However, they cannot swing their stick into the stick of their opponent.

This is known as hacking and is considered a foul.

They will try and take the ball away from you so that they can score themselves.

The game is played in two 45 minute halves, for a combined playing time of 90 minutes

plus added time for injuries and stoppages.

Highest score at the end of time wins.

That's basically the gist of it, but there's a few other things you'll need to understand

before playing or watching Shinty.

For example:

Substitution.

A team is permitted to have a maximum of 5 substitutes on their bench.

A team wishing to make a change of player can be do this at any time, so long as the

player being substituted comes off first.

Foul.

If you break one of the rules, most commonly for hacking, the referee will blow the whistle

and indicate a foul.

Fouls usually result in a free hit to the opposing team.

Free hit A free hit is awarded to the other team, usually

after a foul has occurred.

The player must strike or lift the ball from the spot of the foul, and all other players

must be at least 5 yards away from the ball before it is struck.

Caution / Sending Off

Dangerous play is punishable by either a yellow card, which is a warning.

or a red card, where you are sent off the pitch without a substitute replacement.

Hit In If a ball leaves the side-lines, the ball

is awarded to the team who didn't touch it last.

They must play the ball back onto the field by striking it vertically in the air above

their heads.

Failure to do this results in the ball being awarded to the other team.

Corner Hit If a defending team hits the ball out of their

own bye line, a corner hit is awarded to the attacking team.

The attacking team places the ball at the nearest corner quarter circle, and restarts

play by hitting the ball from the ground.

Penalty Hit Any infringement made by a defending player

in the ten yard area will result in a penalty hit.

The ball is placed on the ground at the penalty spot and, as always, its one shot only.

Any goals scored count towards the overall score.

Penalty Playoff.

In the event of a draw for games where a winner must be determined, a penalty playoff is used

to determine the winner.

There are 5 shooters on each team and each one alternates taking a shot at the opposing

goalie.

Team with the most goals after the playoff, wins.

Lil Yachty Says His and Migos' Jabs at Joe Budden Are Because of Boredom - Duration: 1:21.

Hey guys for Complex News, I'm Natasha Martinez.

The back and forth beef between Migos and Everyday Struggle led to the casting of look-alike's

of Joe Budden, Dj Akademiks, and Nadeska Alexis for Quavo and Yachty's Ice Tray video.

The Everyday Struggle crew took the preview for the song and casting news in stride, however

TMZ camera's pressed Yachty for what he would think about Budden seeing the final video.

He said,

"He's seen it, he will see it; he talks about it every day."

When it comes to the lyrics, which the TMZ pap called heavy, Yachty said they're real.

It's just how they feel right now.

He also revealed the the photo of the look-alikes were actually leaked.

The cast had to sign a confidentiality agreement that obviously was broken.

It's safe to say the Migos back and forth is the last thing on Joe's mind at the moment.

He and his girlfriend Cyn Santana shared the news of the birth of their son on Friday.

Cyn tweeted,

"Bout to meet the love of my life with the love of my life!!!!

You're too dope God"

Why Did Mars Lose Its Atmosphere? And How Can We Get It Back? - Duration: 8:37.

Mars is in the spotlight now, as both SpaceX and NASA are preparing their long range plans

to send humans to the Red Planet.

But Mars is an inhospitable environment, especially because of its tenuous and poisonous atmosphere

of carbon dioxide.

Did Mars have a better atmosphere in the past?

How did it get destroyed, and what can we do to replenish it to make the planet more

habitable in the future?

If you were to travel to the surface of Mars right now, without a proper spacesuit, your

life would become immediately, uh, unpleasant.

With a dramatically lower atmospheric pressure, all the air in your lungs would come rushing

out.

And without the oxygen in your blood stream, you'd pass out within seconds, and asphyxiate

within a couple of minutes.

Mars, sucks.

And the biggest reason is that Mars is so hostile is because of its terrible atmosphere.

Here on Earth, you're experiencing a column of air, pressing down on you, enabling all

that breathing that you seem to like to do.

The atmosphere on Mars, on the other hand, is only 1% the pressure we have here on Earth.

Furthermore, it's made almost entirely of carbon dioxide, which I'm sure you know

is poisonous to breathe.

The lack of a thick atmosphere means that Mars is cold, so cold all the water on the

planet is locked up in eternal polar ice caps.

So cold that carbon dioxide freezes out of the atmosphere and falls as snow in the north

pole.

Just in case you weren't aware, temperatures need to be -78.5 degrees C for carbon dioxide

to freeze.

Was Mars always this way?

What changed to make the planet so terrible, and what could we do to bring it back?

In the early Solar System, Mars was much more like Earth, with its own planetary magnetosphere.

This was present for the first 400 million years or so of Mars' history.

Then, about 4.2 billion years ago, this Martian magnetosphere shut off, leaving the planet

without any protection from the Sun's radiation and solar wind.

Over the course of 500 million years, Mars changed from a warm, wet environment to the

frozen, airless desert we know today.

In early 2017, planetary scientists working with NASA's Mars Atmosphere and Volatile

Evolution spacecraft, or MAVEN, released a research paper explaining in gruesome detail

exactly what happened to the Martian atmosphere.

And the blame comes, of course, from the Sun and its constantly blowing, ever present,

why won't you give us a break, solar wind.

The solar wind, of course, is the constant stream of particles blasting off the Sun.

The Earth is protected, thanks to our ever present magnetosphere, but Mars wasn't so

lucky.

According to the researchers, most of the gas that was ever present in the Martian atmosphere

was just blown away into space.

Mars didn't have a magnetosphere, and it has much less mass and gravity, so it was

unable to hold onto the atmospheric particles.

The atmosphere of Mars is gone.

In fact, the early Sun was even worse, with much more powerful ultraviolet radiation and

intense solar winds.

If life did ever form on Mars, back in the early Solar System, it would have needed to

work fast, with a very short time when the planet wasn't a freezing cold, airless desert.

There might still be pockets of life, hidden beneath the surface of Mars, but the party's

over.

So how did researchers figure this out?

They used MAVEN to measure the amount of two different isotopes of argon gas.

Argon doesn't react, so it can't be trapped in rocks the way other elements can.

One of these isotopes is lighter and escaped into space more easily, so they measured the

ratio of the two isotopes in both the surface of Mars and its atmosphere to figure how quickly

it was lost into space.

And from there they could calculate how quickly the other gasses were blown away too.

As soon as anyone learns how much the atmosphere of Mars sucks, they want to fix it.

And it might actually be possible.

I'll talk about some ideas, but first I'd like to thank:

Skydiving Storm Trooper Robert Eidson

Rod Cortright

And the rest of our 810 patrons for their generous support.

If you love what we're doing and want to get in on the action, head over to patreon.com/universetoday.

It turns out that the easiest solution to restoring the atmosphere of Mars is to destroy

the Sun.

Without the Sun, there'd be no solar wind.

Okay fine, maybe that's a little bit overkill, but you could block the Sun's solar wind.

We did a whole episode on creating artificial magnetospheres a few episodes ago, and one

cool idea was recently presented by Dr. Jim Green, the Director of NASA's Planetary

Science Division.

This idea would position an electromagnetic shield at the Sun-Mars L1 Lagrange point.

This shield would block the solar wind coming from the Sun, protecting Mars in its wake.

This would have the advantage of protecting Martian astronauts from deadly solar radiation,

but it would also protect and restore Mars itself.

Even though Mars has had billions of years to lose its atmosphere, it still has something,

however tenuous.

That's because volcanic outgassing from the planet's interior balances out the atmosphere

lost to the solar wind.

Without the solar wind whisking away the atmosphere, this volcanic outgassing would thicken and

warm the atmosphere by an average of about 4 degrees Celsius.

That doesn't sound like much, but it's enough to melt the northern carbon dioxide

polar ice cap on Mars, leading to an even stronger greenhouse effect.

This would warm the planet enough to melt the water ice in the polar caps, creating

oceans on the surface of Mars.

Not like it had in the past, but still, oceans.

Within a couple of generations, Mars would be a dramatically different world.

Much more earthlike and ready for exploration.

A thicker atmosphere would provide a range of benefits, including allowing larger payloads

to be sent to Mars and aerobraked using the Martian atmosphere.

It would provide increased shielding against galactic cosmic radiation, which wouldn't

be stopped by the L1 shield.

It would provide a thicker atmosphere for oxygen extraction, and allow open air greenhouses

for farming food.

Future colonists would be able to go outside on the surface of Mars without a pressure

suit, just a gas mask to provide breathable air and prevent carbon dioxide poisoning.

But obviously we'll want to go further, we'll want to make the air actually breathable.

According to Robert Zubrin, the founder of the Mars Society, this is a long term goal

that should be achievable.

In that thicker atmosphere of carbon dioxide, we could bring in plants that would do the

same job they do here on Earth; taking in CO2 and releasing oxygen.

As the atmosphere gets thicker and more Earthlike, you could bring in insects and other tough

animals to keep the ecosystem going.

It might take thousands of years, but we should eventually be able to make Mars a place that

humans can walk outside, without a spacesuit and breathe normally.

It's pretty mind boggling.

The fact that Mars lost its atmosphere so long ago is a tragedy.

But it does look like there's a way we could stop the atmospheric loss and even rebuild

it, making Mars a reasonably habitable world again.

Being able to grow plants, to walk outside without a pressure suit, to be able to breathe

the air on an alien world.

It's worthy goal for humanity, I think.

Of course, to make Mars more habitable, we'll need to make it less habitable for any lifeforms

currently tucked away in corners on the planet.

What do you think, is it okay for us to modify Mars to suit our needs, potentially destroying

its existing biosphere?

OBS Studio 141 - Video Filters Walkthrough - How to use video filters (OBS Studio Tutorial) - Duration: 4:39.

We've covered a few specific audio and video filters in their own dedicated episodes in

I'm EposVox, here to make tech easier and more fun, and welcome back to my OBS Studio

tutorial course.

I have many, many more videos on the software in the playlist linked in the description.

Check that before asking questions, and check the introduction video to learn how this course

works, if you get confused.

Alright, so to access video filters, right click your video source in your scene and

source list and click "Filters."

Here, you currently have 1 video filter available under "Audio/Video Filters" since it works

with audio, and the rest under "Effect Filters."

Under "Audio/Video Filters" if you click the plus, you have "Video Delay (Async)."

This lets you add a delay, measured in miliseconds, to your video source to better align it with

your audio inputs.

This is useful if you have an out-of-sync USB device.

Under "Effect Filters" you get quite a few neat options.

There are tools for Chroma Keying and Color Keying, which we covered back in episode 123.

You also have LUTs to apply cool effect filters, as we covered in episode 128.

The "Scroll" effect keeps scrolling and looping your source with speed parameters,

as well as height and width limiting options.

This is kinda neat.

Can be used for a text scroll like in a news segment layout.

"Color Correction" allows you to do some basic color work for your video source - gamma,

contrast, brightness, saturation, hue shift, opacity, and a color picker.

But if you're messing with a webcam, you should absolutely do as much of this as possible

from within your actual webcam settings dialog - or at least set your webcam to manual so

it doesn't keep trashing these settings with auto adjustments.

The "Crop/Pad" filter lets you crop your source.

It also lets you "pad" it by giving additional transparent pixels within the bounding box

around your source.

It's easier to crop a source by holding alt when dragging the bounding box, though.

"Image Mask/Blend" allows you to apply a cool mask or texture to a source.

This is what we used to create a custom shape webcam frame in episode 131.

"Render delay" is another option for delaying your video.

This can help reduce system load with running video files as sources.

"Scaling/Aspect Ratio" can be used to fix a lot of issues there.

Some video devices will let you set a custom resolution, but may not change to the proper

aspect ratio within OBS.

I.e. setting a webcam to 1280x720 but it squishes that into a 4:3 block.

This helps you scale things better, and can help with distortion when scaling ultrawide

monitors.

"Sharpen" applies a basic sharpening filter to your video source.

Use this lightly - too much can make your video look funky.

Also, the sharper a video is, the harder it is to compress.

Keep that in mind.

The OBS team is always working to add new features and filters to the software, so there

may be more in the future, but this is the gist of what's currently available.

BREAKING: It Just Happened! He Broke Federal Law And Will Be Heading To Prison – Trump FURIOUS! - Duration: 4:09.

BREAKING: It Just Happened!

He Broke Federal Law And Will Be Heading To Prison – Trump FURIOUS!

Back in the good old days, traitors to this country were hanged by their necks until dead.

Fast forward to today, and not only are treasonous politicians still in office, but they're

leading illegal acts of sabotage against our President and lying under oath.

After recently learning that FBI director James Comey predetermined the outcome of the

investigation into Hillary Clinton's private email by not even investigating her, another

unbelievable bombshell has just exploded about what he did with evidence against her.

While Comey might have gotten away with his antics in the past, the felony he committed

is so severe, he could soon be heading to prison and paying dearly for his unbelievable

crimes against this country.

Comey's illegal escapades began during the Senate Judiciary Committee last year where

he lied under oath about Hillary Clinton not being guilty of using her private email server

to store classified and above-top-secret documents.

He's popped his head out several times this year making various appearances before congressional

committees to make contradictory or false statements while under oath, defiantly disregarding

his position to uphold the law.

Now Fox News just got their hands of a set of documents revealing that Comey intentionally

tampered with evidence in order to water down the FBI's findings.

And that is a huge felony.

According to Fox News:

Newly released documents obtained by Fox News reveal that then-FBI Director James Comey's

draft statement on the Hillary Clinton email probe was edited numerous times before his

public announcement, in ways that seemed to water down the bureau's findings considerably.

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, sent a

letter to the FBI on Thursday that shows the multiple edits to Comey's highly scrutinized

statement.

In an early draft, Comey said it was "reasonably likely" that "hostile actors" gained

access to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's private email account.

That was changed later to say the scenario was merely "possible."

Another edit showed language was changed to describe the actions of Clinton and her colleagues

as "extremely careless" as opposed to "grossly negligent."

This is a key legal distinction.

Johnson, writing about his concerns in a letter Thursday to FBI Director Christopher Wray,

said the original "could be read as a finding of criminality in Secretary Clinton's handling

of classified material."

He added, "The edited statement deleted the reference to gross negligence – a legal

threshold for mishandling classified material – and instead replaced it with an exculpatory

sentence."

The edits also showed that references to specific potential violations of statutes on "gross

negligence" regarding classified information and "misdemeanor handling" were removed.

Making false statements or tampering with a federal investigation is a serious federal

crime, as spelled out in Section 1001 of Title 18 of the United States Code.

A number of people have been convicted and sent to prison for far less crimes than Comey,

including Martha Stewart, whose crimes were extremely minor when compared to what Comey

schemed up with Hillary.

The former FBI director could also be tried for many additional felonies, as this statute

is used to prove perjury, false declarations, and obstruction of justice; all crimes that

Comey committed in the case of Hillary Clinton.

It's time that President Trump drains the swamp and holds these swamp rats accountable

for their crimes once and for all.

The FBI is now fully operating as essentially Obama's secret police, as these law enforcement

agencies are now doing the bidding of slimy politicians, rather than upholding their oath,

which is to pursue impartial justice on behalf of the public.

The FBI continues to prove just how out of control they are, as these agents clearly

considers themselves above the law.

Until they are throw in prison, they'll continue to do serve as the foot soldiers

for swamp creatures like Hillary Clinton, who still isn't giving up on her dreams

to become president in 2020.

What do you think about this?

Donald Trump hands Internet control over to BIG BUSINESS in 'disastrous' decision for web - Duration: 1:28.

Donald Trump hands Internet control over to BIG BUSINESS in disastrous decision

for web.

The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) voted along party lines yesterday to repeal

rules that guarantee a fair and open internet.

Trump appointee and FCC chairman Ajit Pai's cast the decisive vote yesterday, marking

a victory for internet service providers such as AT&T, Comcast and Verizon by handing them

power over what content consumers can access and what speed.

The old Obama-era rules were intended to give consumers equal access to the web and stop

broadband providers from favouring their own content.

And the move has caused uproar, with vocal critics including British web inventor Sir

Tim Berners-Lee who branded it a disaster.

Internet giants including Google and Facebook had also lobbied against the repeal, which

would allow service providers to slow access or charge more for certain kinds of content.

Democrats are now threatening to take the battle to court as apart of a multi-state

lawsuit.

FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel, a Democrat, said the decision grants internet providers

"extraordinary new power.

She warned: They have the technical ability and business incentive to discriminate and

manipulate your internet traffic.

And now this agency gives them the legal green light to go ahead."The new rules give

internet providers sweeping powers to change how consumers access the internet but must

have new transparency requirements that will require them to disclose any changes to consumers.

The FCC said the changes would take effect in a few months after the White House Office

of Management and Budget formally approves them.

White House spokesman Sarah Sanders said the administration supported the FCCs efforts.

She said: "At the same time, the White House certainly has and always will support a free

and fair internet.Mr Pai has argued that the 2015 Obama-era rules were heavy handed,

stifling competition and innovation among service providers.

And he pointed out: "The internet wasn't broken in 2015.

We weren't living in a digital dystopia.

Republican FCC Commissioner Mike O'Reilly noted self-driving cars and remotely monitored

medical procedures may require internet service and that their needs should be given priority

"over cat videos."

He claimed O'Rielly it was unlikely any provider would voluntarily submit to a "PR nightmare"

by "attempting to engage in blocking, throttling or improper discrimination.

Mr OReilly said: It is simply not worth the reputation cost."
