4 + 1 Tv Series Recommendations | What do I watch? | Google Duplex - Duration: 10:49.
Hello everybody!
Today is very cloudy Saturday.
I am sorry for my voice.
Still trying to recover. I was sick after Frankfurt vacation.
I wish I were in outside with a sunny weather.
But weather is not so good and I don't want to get sick again.
So, stayed at home.
Today, I would like to share 5 TV series.
I watched these TV series and loved them.
We could say 4 + 1. Because last one is a bonus. It is very old but still Iike it.
I will try to explain their subject and the reason why I like them.
I hope you like the video.
Let's start.
First TV series is The Bridge.
Bron - Broen
It is named as The Bridge in English.
My Swedish friend recommended this series.
The TV series takes place in Denmark and Sweden.
Especially, the main actress Dedective Saga Norén is very interesting character.
You can even just for this series for Saga Norén character. :)
The first series begins with the discovery of a dead body
exactly on the centre of the Øresund Bridge, which links Denmark with Sweden.
Danish inspector Martin Rohde and Swedish Saga Norén have to share jurisdiction and work together to find the killer.
In the next episodes, police is trying to solve different crimes.
As I said, it has very different scenario than American series.
It is very interesting Europe Tv series.
Again and again Saga Norén is very interesting character.
So, I recommend you to watch The Bridge.
I also just mentioned about Øresund Bridge.
This bridge connects Denmark and Sweden.
The bridge itself also has a interesting story.
If you were interested in Mega Structures documentary in National Geographic
There is an episode for Øresund Bridge.
You can find the documentary in Youtube.
You will also like it.
The second Tv series is Westworld.
Maybe you already watched it.
Currently the second season is on air.
I think first 4 episodes.
It is a HBO series.
Like Game of Thrones.
The type of the series is mostly science fiction. Also, western.
Series is based on the 1973 film of the same name. `Westworld`
Tv series have very good comments.
You will Antony Hopkins as main actor.
It is pretty interesting and awesome series.
You will be surprised after each episode.
Basically, the story is
There is a technologically advanced Wild-West-themed amusement park.
Rich guests who may indulge their wildest fantasies come to the park to enjoy.
What is there apart from Western world?
In that park, there are human androids.
They look like human.
These androids programmed to fulfill the guest's every desire.
and androids are programmed not to hurt any creature .
Afterwords, the story begins.
I strongly recommend this series.
It is a mind-blowing science fiction series.
You will say 'Vaov' after each episode.
3 Tv series is Babylon Berlin.
We started to watch this series because of it's name.
Because, it is really nice to see 1929's Berlin in the series.
Interestingly, this series is also good.
The series takes place in 1929 after 1. World War.
Police inspector Gereon Rath, who has been transferred from the city of Cologne to Berlin for an investigation.
Afterwords, the story begins.
You will watch life of the folks, the story of political and social changes in the Golden Twenties of Germany.
Also you will see amazing nightlife.
I recommend you to watch.
It has different touches.
There is a performance in the first episode.
I would like to share a small piece of it.
Maybe you can get some ideas about the series.

The fourth TV series is Person of Interest.
Maybe you already watched it. It is an old one.
It has four seasons.
It was an awesome series.
But also it was scary.
Because, all the things that happened in the series will happen in the future.
AI will take over the world.
AI will watch us, manage us. (Maybe it already do it)
The expectations are in that direction.
Maybe you remember the movie Terminator.
Skynet becomes true.
There is also news about it.
Google presented the Google Duplex experiment in the last days.
Maybe, you use Google Assistant in your Android phone.
When you say 'Ok Google', it's starting to listen you.
And waiting for your next commands.
They are working on this Assistant.
In this new experiment, they achieved very scary step.
Google Assistant calls a hairdresser and make an appointment for you.
or make a reservation in a restaurant.
You cannot realize is it a machine or real human.
I would like to share a small part from the Google presentation.
Because it is pretty interesting and scary.
The technology is unpredictable.
Let's watch the Google Assistant.
Yes, about the story of TV series
Harold Finch is a developer.
He implements a program(AI) by request of the government.
The program that is capable of collating all sources of information to predict and identify people planning terrorist acts.
His backdoor into the Machine allows him to act covertly on the non-terrorism cases,
but to prevent abuse of information,
he directs the Machine to provide no details beyond an identity to be investigated.
To be able to save these people, he hires John Reese who is old CIA agent.
They start to work together.
and as usual the story begins.
In the next seasons, there will be another AI. Another machine.
Somehow, the machines try to change how the world is operated.
I don't want to tell more. Because it will be spoiler.
You've just seen what Google did with Assistant.
Person of Interest's story is not so far.
It is scary.
But, you should watch it.
To be honest, I didn't like the last season.
Anyway, I recommend it.
And, last TV series.
It is bonus.
I recommended lost of science fiction and crime stuff.
The last one is sitcom.
The name of it is Outsourced.
It has only one season.
I wish it has more episodes.
American novelties company has recently outsourced its order processing and call center to India.
The employees are Indian people.
Indian employees should sell the product which are highly American stuff. (culturally)
An American manager must explain American popular culture to his employees as he tries to understand Indian culture.
Difference between the cultures create the story of the series.
Each episode is 20 minutes.
I really enjoyed while I was watching.
It has one season, this season has ~25 episodes.
It is like a snack.

Tennessee CEOs BUSTED For Medicare Kickback Scheme - Duration: 0:59.
And finally tonight, some good news.
Two Tennessee health care executives have been arrested for defrauding millions of dollars
from Medicare.
Authorities say two executives, John Davis and Brenda Montgomery made an agreement to
steal 4.6 million dollars from Medicare by submitting fraudulent claims.
The agreement awarded Davis with more than 700,000 in kickbacks.
Court documents also say the two took steps to conceal their illegal deal by making payments
through a nominee and filing false tax documents.
As a result, the two were taken before a judge and charged with one count of conspiracy to
defraud the US and seven counts of paying and receiving healthcare kickbacks.
Medicare is a resource needed by the most desperate and poor people in the United States,
but that meant nothing to these high rolling CEOs.
Now, they're going to learn the hard way that being a white collar elite doesn't always
make you immune from serving time for your crimes.

Lego Friends: Amusement Park Roller Coaster (41130) - Duration: 12:01.
Hey everyone!
JAYSTEPHER with Amusement Park Roller Coaster
by Lego Friends.
Set number 41130.
Contains 1124 pieces.
Recommended building ages are 8 through 12.
This is one nice set.
So we do have Naya,
Andrea,
Emma,
and Mathew
for our mini dolls.
Also we do have a Brick Separator.
We have a roller coaster in the middle
as well as a spinning ride.
Not sure of the official name of it,
and the Ferris wheel.
Let's take a closer look.
First we have Naya,
Andrea,
Emma,
and Matthew.
The torsos and pants are printed.
We even do have hair accessories as well for the ladies.
Here we have a nice set of print work.
Too bad the graphics were not printed on the bricks.
Here is the ticket booth for the roller coaster.
We have a hundred dollar bill
and some tokens or tickets.
Here we have a flat tile.
These two tiles and this plate with bow
are suppose to have a sticker.
This does spin.
Not a whole lot of room on the inside.
We do have a printed 1 by 2 slope for the register.
Another blank sign.
On the left, we have what appears to be an ice cream vendor's both.
It does rests on a set of wheels.
There's a hundred dollar bill on the top of he booth.
Must be some pretty expensive ice cream
or possibly cotton candy.
On the right, we have a blank sign
with an empty trash can.
Here we have two tables.
One with a hot dog,
ketchup,
and a bottle of water.
On the right, we have a plate with an apple and two watermelon slices.
The watermelon slices are printed.
Looking at this is making me hungry.
Next we have the spinning ride
or the twister ride.
It is a really nice colorful build.
Looks like it's about to fall apart.
We shall see.
So basically we lift this up.
When it drops,
it spirals down.
So let's populate it.
We have our safety bars.
They swing out of the way.
We don't want the figures to fly out.
Do we?
Or maybe that's what we want.
No Matthew! You got to get in there and sit down.
Put the safety bar down.
Now it's your turn to get dizzy.
Whoa!
Okay.
Let's see if I can do this.
We have to raise this up.
It's a bit of a challenge.
Here we go!
Well it hangs up.
Pretty cool.
It's a nice simple contraption.
Next is an interesting looking Ferris wheel.
It's got some bright colors.
Although these should have been made as alternating colors
instead of yellow and purple.
These 1 by 4 tiles with the stripes are printed.
There's suppose to be a sticker on this tile.
We got steps that take you up into the Ferris wheel.
This does move fairly well.
We got a bit of a gap there.
Let's set our figures inside.
Now there's only four minifigures that come with this.
It's going to be not balanced correctly.
I'm having a hard time getting the figures sitting inside.
I don't think she's meant to fit in there.
[Laughs]
Did we already find a flaw?
Well that's kind of a tight fit.
You have to make them sit.
It's already spinning with only just one figure inside.
I think it's the hair accessories.
There you go Matthew
You like purple.
You can sit in there.
There you go Naya.
This would be great if it had six figures.
It doesn't.
It's really cool.
You can also turn it with this
or with this in the back.
Maybe if we go realy fast,
maybe they would slide out.
Don't want to break this.
It does glide smooth.
I don't think I'll be going on this Ferris wheel if it's going this fast.
Here we are with the roller coaster.
Everyone is waiting for a ride.
I like this because we have a bar that raises up
to let the minifigures go through.
They got to be careful.
This comes crashing down.
Let's start populating the roller coaster cars.
The first is a bit stiff.
It does have a Light Brick.
So when we place our mini doll inside,
she will activate the light.
We'll take a look at that in a bit.
The other three cars are easy to seat our mini dolls in.
Let's make sure everybody is sitting down correctly.
We don't want everybody falling out.
Well we're already having a derailment.
We do have various obstacles like a door.
Some of these other things.
I don't know what these do.
They spin.
Some of this stuff breaks off very easily.
The sign in the back is suppose to have a sticker.
I didn't feel like putting that on.
We're all ready to go?
Let's do this!
Now this feels a bit stiff.
You have to push this up manually.
It feels like I'm fighting this coaster.
This is one large set.
Now it does actually glide down pretty quick.
That's as far as it goes.
That's the entertainment.
It is a nice roller coaster.
Now the cars can be detached.
Just going to bring this up and show you.
Here's the Light Brick.
So we can remove our figure,
and the light turns off.
So her feet actually engages the Light Brick.
Just for entertainment purposes.
Well we lost a passenger.
I guess she wasn't seated correctly,
but it is a nice roller coaster,
and the cars do easily be replace back on the track.
Well he can lay down on the ground then
since the ride is out of commission.
Now this could go both ways
if you have these gates open.
I would go counterclockwise with this.
So there's our cars.
Really cool ride.
In my opinion, this is one nice set.
The only downside that I see
is the stickers.
Now as for the track,
it is not compatible with the standard Lego train tracks
as they are two studs smaller than the original tracks.
I was hoping this would work with the Lego train.
As far as parts are concerned,
not a whole lot of bricks,
but there is a lot of bricks with bow
as well as accessory parts.
In addition, a Light Brick.
So this will be a great set for any Lego collector,
Lego city,
or a Lego Friends theme.

- I thought this place was a myth.
- We've been here for 22 years.
This hospital was built on two things,
trust
and rules.
It's really original.
It is not like any movie I've ever made,
or any movie I've ever seen.
It has a real freshness, originality to it,
and
also a kind of nostalgia,
an interesting nostalgia about Los Angeles and movies
and movie references.
- [Josh] So is that come across in the script
or in talking to the directors?
It's all in the script, it's in the writing?
- Yeah, I think it's in the script.
He's an amazing writer-director, so.
And then Drew Pearce, a wonderful British director.
He's a really great first-time director
and he brought so much to the piece.
So those things combined.
- It also speaks to the material
the kind of talent that was attracted to this.
A very eclectic, interesting kind of cast.
- Well, and
he called them all on the phone,
so it's all Drew. - Yeah?
- But, yeah, what an experience for me
to work with such interesting and diverse new talents.
From Dave Bautista who plays my
personal partner in the movie,
and Sofia Boutella, I mean,
she really kicks ass in this film
and I,
I won't give it away but there are some
really incredible Sofia moments.
But Sterling K. Brown and Brian Tyree Henry
as brothers, great piece of casting that was.
Jeff Goldblum, the crazy Jeff Goldblum.
Zach Quinto. - In the best possible way.
Of course, on the directing front,
we most recently saw you direct a Black Mirror episode.
- Yes. - A excellent episode of that.
- Yes. - Money Monster before that,
in terms of feature. - Yep.
- Where's your head at in terms of directing right now?
Is there a long list on the to-do list?
Or one in particular, or what?
- No, I really don't know what I'm doing next.
There's a part of me that feels like
it'll be in the cable streaming world,
which I'm really excited about.
I'm really enjoying that experience.
And hopefully there'll be other features out there, as well.
I like going back and forth between the two.
- There have been some cool episodic opportunities for you
in the streaming realm lately.
Is there any other TV show you haven't
gotten to tip your toe in that you're
just a fan of that might be fun for you to
act or direct in?
- I really don't know.
I can tell you the ones I love, I mean.
- What do you love?
- I love Handmaid's Tale.
And Westworld.
I mean, come on. - Yeah.
- So I love those two.
There's so many other ones that are so great.
It's actually getting really hard
to follow your television binging.
So you have to be a little pickier now than you used to.
- It's true, there's too much.
There's an embarrassing-- - There's too much.
- I don't know about you.
I have a list, a to-do list of TV watching.
- I do but I really,
I've gotten back into reading books again.
So
I'm thrilled that I'm reading books.
At least, we'll see how that goes for the next six months.
