Youtube daily May 15 2018

Hey, so amazing things were shown last week at. Google i/o

2018 and i want to give you the highlights of what i think the best things and

One thing that might get a little heated discussion so yeah

We got to talk about that

Hey, josh here from gross tech making smart home technology easy to use install and understand so you can

Enjoy it in your life, so as the captain of team

google

No, i'm just kidding i ain't gonna. Be that i talked to google, about it though

They said no?

But as a google home user and buyer and one that owns one i wanted to see what

google, was going to bring this, year to google i/o

2018 and boy were we not?

Disappointed they kicked it off with first of all saying

We now support, and use and you know are good to nice with

5,000 products or companies in their smart home

Circle so yeah take that amazon but i want to look at the highlights that pertain

Specifically to the smart home technology

Be that their google home or their google assistant because yeah that's what, we do here on the channel but

Yes they announced their android pay they announced things for maps all this other stuff but

We're just gonna focus on my top 7 things dealing with the smart home technology

First off they introduced six get it six, new

Voices to the google assistant

Me i'm still gonna

go with the first one because

All the other ones sound exactly the same and i didn't really care for them you couldn't understand them but

That's just me if you, like, them, may choose one of those they even talked, about bringing on famous voices like

john legend, why, not morgan freeman i

Have, no idea but

hey

John legend is the first one of many i'm sure to come to being a voice in the google

Assistant so secondly what they talked, about was

continued

Conversation and this is amazing thank you google for finally listening and you know

trying to make it to be

Normal talking to this google assistant so what is it well basically you asked

Your query you know, what is the weather?

Raining and thunderstorm like it is right now

You, ask the question it tells you the answer and up to eight seconds after that you can continue the conversation without

Saying the key phrase

Which i won't say, ask him what the weather is it answers you can?

Ask, what the score of the cavs

Game is because they should be winning but the fact of the matter is is you don't have to use the key phrase

That's amazing and it makes it fluent, and easy just to have a conversation and

Don't worry your tinfoil hat people yes they said

That you can turn this feature off but it's not out. Yet so i can't show

You, how or tell you how

but they promise you can alright the third thing that they showcased and i am waiting for

it so much is google home displays yes i know, they're late they're, basically

Copying, the echo show, but who cares it's a. Google, home, display it's gonna be amazing

Instead of mounting a tablet in the wall in your kitchen which, is kind of where i see this being?

Perfectly, fit you can have one of these

And have everything your google home does plus your chromecast basically with the touch screen i mean you can get

Weather with the graphics you can

Call people you can, do like skype almost you can, voice chat over and video chat

Through, the google home display now, they already pick some

Brands to make the device they're, not making it themselves or so they

Say, but they already, have said that there's gonna be an lg

Lenovo and a jbl version of the display and i cannot wait for this thing to come out it

Looked amazing it can push it to your phone it

I can't wait and they said it's supposed to drop, and start sales this year in july at, some point in time so

Look, forward to that and so keep tuning back in because i'm getting one so the fourth thing that they talked

about, was multiple actions and as simply as it put you have two things you'd say in one

Sentence like turn on the lights, and what's the weather?

Well i can kind of do that already with the and word in the middle obviously it's this and do this

Well sometimes you have an and in that question or?

Statement that you give google that isn't two different things, like, they said

Who, won the game of?

pelicans and the warriors

Obviously that's not two things that needs to do but they're touting and showing off that their, google ai the

new google

ai Is able to look at the whole sentence structure and say is this one?

Action or is this two actions or multiple actions so that's they were showing that off as, well all right so the fifth thing is

Pretty, awesome we'll see how it works

What they showed, was they're integrating things in from the other apps so you've got your

Philips you or your nest app and you got your google assistant app on your phone, well they're what

they're trying to

Merge them together so when you pull up the google assistant app and say turn

My, thermostat to 61 it'll actually pull up

The actual

Thermostat, where you can change it in google

Assistant app so you, don't have to have all the other apps they have to go back, and forth so it's pretty cool, what

How deep is it going to get how

How much are you, gonna be able to do it didn't really show

That much is it gonna work with all the other different apps, we don't know

But they were showing this and it looks pretty cool, so it'll be interesting to see what they

Develop and come out with, when they release it

So the six thing that they came out with and to be honest it was a little goofy

In my opinion it's called pretty please feature

They're, testing it basically, what it is is making, your kids be polite and respectful

So google assistant will not answer or?

Do said question or?

Action without, them, saying please or thank you

i'm sorry but if you're a, parent i'm a parent and

if i'm relying on the google assistant to teach my kids to be polite i

Feel like we're missing something there i feel like we're

Mmm failing as a parent maybe

All right and yes finally it's here my final

Highlight of them and one that is the most popular and the most heated debate

Google duplex so they showed this clip, which i'm going to show

You here shortly between a google assistant calling a hair salon

show, the clip

Happier! Hi i'm a, woman's haircut for a. Client i'm looking for something i'm a third

do i get me one

Who are what time are you looking for a, while

Did you just see that

amazing

My, mind's gonna explode

I'm telling you it sounded like a human talking to the person at the hair salon

Come on anything, was like mmhmm, oh?

sure

really i mean it put those into its conversation this thing is

amazing

how can

You know it's so awesome?

I'm telling you this might be me highlight now it is the highlight of the entire

google i/o

2018 i don't care about android pee i don't care about, yes the vr when you have the maps is pretty cool

everything they showcased was awesome but, google duplex blew it out of the water siri you're dead

alexa, you're dead

bixby cortana

You're all been this thing

Forget all you

But just like everything

amazing and comes out in technology there's always

Snowflakes do get in the way and screw everything

Up, because they're

Gonna, be afraid of it or they're scared of what it could do or they're

Worried i'm a human i need to know, if i'm talking to a robot

if

You're, too dumb to understand you're talking to a robot or the ai

is that good that you're talking to it robot and it doesn't sound like, one

who

cares

Really, this the point of google duplex, was to help

you, be able to make phone calls for hair appointments for doctor's appointments for

dinner reservations things to help you

To, make it easy for you it's like a reminder

There's nothing wrong with it okay, but you could use to to do bad things

Yeah, hey, where is all the heated discussion about you're too dumb to teach

Your kid to be polite and so google has to come in and say you have to say please and thank you

Before it'll work, hey, how, about you teach? Your kid where's that?

Big heap, discussion

Oh, no this is an ethical decision and discussion and dilemma about a

Human, talking with an, ai and they don't know it's not a human

grow up

I'm so sick and tired of you being a bee about everything cool

So they're, saying that they're, worried because

Humans, should know, when they are talking to another human and it would degrade a human if they don't know

I'm serious you can't, make this up they're literally

Fighting it and big discussions, about it seriously these

People are saying that you have to announce to them that a human is not on the other line

That a robot ai is gonna be calling you, by the way?

You're, talking to an artificial intelligence by, google assistants they literally

Want google to put that in the phone conversation

First to let the person know

Do you, think a

The person on the other line cares if you call, me and i'm working at a restaurant and i take reservations

hello

You're, ai why do i care do you need a reservation

That's my, job?

Why, does it matter if a human is calling or a

Artificial intelligent is calling it doesn't make sense the worst part about this is the stupid

snowflakes got their, way

Google, back down and said, oh we're, sorry, we're, sorry

We'll be politically correct, we won't hurt anybody's feelings so we will?

We will announce that an ai is talking to you on the phone and it's not a human

why, do you people ruin everything one second i

Really, think this was a waste of an amazing technology and honestly they're?

Destroying it every single day that they, want to pick on it and everything i'm tired of them wanting to destroy

Spectacular technology, and find fault with it at every single side and

Problem, why?

why, can't you just let us have technology, and let it go let it grow, and

become amazing and honestly if it was between you and me i

Really, think, google should just forget they, had that conversation, and just go ahead and keep going forward and

The little snowflakes, won't even know, because it sounds like a human anyways, okay anyways, my blood

Pressure is at an all-time high because of this so let's end the episode there thank you again

For watching the gross tech show. And as always god bless you guys, and we'll see you in the next video bye

Nokia 7 Plus Unboxing and Initial Impressions - Duration: 6:44.

"Music"

Hey guys its Sagar for Tecworkz, and I finally got my hands on the new new Nokia 7 Plus.

I ordered it via Amazon, and this is the black and copper coloured one.

I actually wanted to get the white coloured one, with the copper accents, but they didn't

have it for sale when I ordered this one.

It is priced at 25,999Rs, which I feel is a lot to ask for this phone.

Something around the 21 or 22,000Rs. mark would have made it, so much more attractive.

This is my first Nokia device since HMD Global brought it back.

But back in the day I have used quite a few Nokia phones, like the Nokia N73 Music edition,

N85 (which I still have, because I just love the way it slides), after which I switched

to the N8 (It was another amazing phone, with a huge display and a great camera, which was

way ahead of its time) and I've also tried the N97 and E71 for a brief period.

So getting a Nokia phone again, brings back some really cool memories to me.

Alright, now lets come back to the Nokia 7 Plus.

It is an android one device, and comes with Android Oreo out of the box.

And as I said before, it is the black coloured phone with copper accents.

Now lets just slide open the box and get to the phone.

7 Plus is sitting on the right of the box.

There is a SIM tray removal tool below it, and a Transparent TPU case with some paper

work under it.

In this box on the left we get a USB Type C cable, In ear earphones and a Nokia branded

fast charger.

Alright, lets keep all these things aside, and take a look at the phone itself.

Its a big phone with a 6inch display, but it doesn't seem too heavy.

The weight is also very well balanced throughout the body of the phone.

It might not be very apparent looking at it in this video, but the copper rim around the

phone, ring around the fingerprint sensor and the camera module and the Nokia branding

look really cool in person.

You do get a transparent case in the box, but since this phone doesn't have a glass

back, I wont be using it with a case.

At the front, we get a big 6inch full hd+ iPS LCD display with 18:9 aspect ratio, and

it is covered by Gorilla Glass 3.

This is Nokia's first phone with this aspect ratio, and I think it looks beautiful.

It looks bright enough for these lighting situations, but I will have to use it outside,

and see how bright can it get under direct sunlight.

There are no navigation buttons on the lower bezel.

You get an earpiece, ambient light and proximity sensor and a 16megapixel camera with ZEISS

optics and Nokia branding on the top bezel.

We get a unibody metal back made of 6000 series aluminium.

They say that there are multiple layers of coating to make it feel like ceramic, but

to me, it just feels like metal, which I prefer over ceramic or glass back.

There is android one logo at the bottom with Nokia branding above it.

Then there's the fingerprint sensor and a dual camera module with copper coloured

accents, and you also get a dual tone dual led flash.

There's a SIM card tray on the left.

It's a Hybrid slot, which means it can hold 2 Nano SIM cards or One Nano SIM and a Micro

SD card at a time.

On the right are the volume and power buttons.

These buttons are a bit thin, but they are well built and tactile.

At the bottom is a microphone, USB C port for charging and data transfer and a single

downward firing speaker.

You don't get stereo speakers on this phone but you still get a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The phone is definitely big, but it feels really good in the hand.

You will need 2 hands to navigate through the display, but its a nice experience.

Its an Android one device, so it is running stock android.

It comes with Oreo out of the box and Nokia has been quick at pushing the software updates

in the recent months, so I hope they will do the same for this phone.

Stock android, means you wont get much of added features or gestures, like you see on

OnePlus or even Moto devices.

I guess that's the price you pay, for getting faster software updates.

It comes with an octal core Snapdragon 660 processor, Adreno 512 GPU, 4GB of LPDDR 4

RAM, 64GB of built in storage, and a 3800 mAh non removable battery.

With these internals and a huge battery, Nokia says that you 2 days worth of battery life

with the 7 Plus.

I will have to use this phone for a few weeks to actually test their claim, and I will have

more to say about it in the full review.

It charges via a USB C port, and with the included charger, it can go from 0-50% in

30 min.

The dual cameras on the back are equipped with Zeiss optics.

Primary camera has a 12 megapixel camera with F/1.75 Aperture, and a pixel size of 1.4Micron.

Secondary camera has a 13 megapixel sensor with F/2.6 aperture, and it has a 2x telephoto

lens.

Front facing camera is a 16 megapixel sensor with F/2.0 aperture, and it also has Zeiss

Optics.

It will be interesting to see, how these cameras perform, against some of the other smartphone

that I have.

I have used this phone for less than a day, so I cant really say a lot about its performance

and battery life right now.

But if you guys want, I will make a video about my experience in the first 48hour with

this phone.

If you guys would be interested in it, let me know in the comments.

What I can tell you now, is this phone looks and feels very solid and premium.

It is a bit wider than most other 18:9 display phones, that I have used so far.

It feels fast and responsive, in little time that I've spent with it.

Camera app, with easy ways to get to pro mode seems promising.

It doesn't support wireless charging.

And I still think, it costs a bit more than what it should.

That being said, I am really exited to use a Nokia smartphone again, and I have, high

hopes from this Nokia 7 Plus.

I will be comparing this phone and its camera with a few other phone, but if there are any

specific videos that you want to see, or if you have any questions about the this phones,

let me know in the comments.

If you are looking to buy the Nokia 7 Plus, I will leave a link to it in the description

section, and unlike some other phones, this one is available without any flash sales on

amazon.

That is it for this video guys.

Please hit the like button if you enjoyed this video, and subscribe to the channel for

more quality tech videos like this.

You can also check out some of the other videos from this channel.

This has been Sagar, and I'll catch you guys in the next video.

Take care.

10 Loại Thực Phẩm Có Thể Chuẩn Bị Cho Ngày Tận Thế | Khoa Học Huyền Bí - Duration: 7:34.

hey guys it's Mike chen

if you've watched some of my other channels

or you follow me on Instagram or Twitter or know me at all

you know that I absolutely love food and the only thing I don't love about food is that

well they're perishable and their expiration dates are so varied

it's really hard to keep up with what's expired what's not and especially if you have a label

that's kind of unreadable I mean is that a three world one

because that's a big difference and I know a lot of times

these expiration dates are not accurate at all

but have you ever eaten something the day after it's supposed to have expired

also I've been thinking in recent years pretty much since 2012

let's say some disaster does happen let's say I'm trapped in my basement for the next three years

what foods should I have with me that won't go bad for the next three weeks

anyway I actually researched it and I'm telling you the answer is not a Twinkie

so in this video we're gonna talk about it

we're gonna talk about ten foods that pretty much never expire

first up salt

this should not come as much of a surprise as salt is a natural preservative

that has been used for many many centuries

it doesn't really expire because technically it's just a rock

a mineral that can absorb moisture which we just so happen to eat a lot of

because it makes anything originally bland it tastes well it tastes delicious

but beyond is invaluable use in preserving and seasoning all sorts of foods

salt also has medicinal in other applications because of its ability to kill bacteria

through drying them out on a cellular level

this is also the very reason for its permanence however be warned not all types of salt

you store in your cupboard can last forever

for example iodized salt in particular has a shelf life of only around five years

those that have a more infinite staying power are table salt sea salt and culture salt

next up sugar

just like salt sugar also has an inhospitable environment that really does not support bacterial growth

which is why it has an infinite shelf life regardless of whether it is white or brown

but this also has a lot to do with how you store sugar I mean if you put it inside a tightly closed container

and place it in a very dry area of your kitchen it is unlikely that moisture will harden or spoil

your sugar supply however some say that you know solidified brown sugar still can be soft and be eaten

if you use a food processor or heated up with a microwave

next a lot of people know about this honey

this golden nectar of the Gods yes that's exactly what honey is

it's heralded by many as the only food that can truly last forever

and we have the flowers and the bees to thank for his creation

the magical mixture of the nectar from the flowers and the enzymes of the bees

is highly acidic and also very low in moisture conditions that don't allow for bacterial growth

so if sealed properly honey could literally last for thousands of years

in fact an ancient supply of honey was found in Georgia and it is more than 5,000 years old

making it the oldest honey in the world ever found

even when it has crystallized or exchanged in color

it can be restored to its original form through gently reheating

next maple syrup

just like honey pure maple syrup has an infinite shelf life because of its strong resistance to microbial growth

and that includes most once opened the best way to store maple syrup and prolong its life

is by pouring it into a glass container and putting it inside a freezer water cooler

doing so will prevent spoilage and will also ensure that the syrup is always of the best quality

however there are cases where molding on the surface occurs

but according to maple producers all you need to do is remove the portions with the mold

and slightly boil the syrup before refrigerating it again

number 5 white vinegar

not only does white vinegar have a lot of household uses

they also have a very very very long shelf life you can probably buy gallons of the stuff

and never have to worry about any of it going bad because of its low pH

vinegar pretty much preserves itself and does not need to be refrigerated

and though some types of vinegar may alter in color or form sediments

they can still generally be consumed and used for other purposes

today we use vinegar not only as a condiment but also as a cleaning agent

a practice that dates all the way back to the time of the ancient Babylonians several millennia ago

next hard liquor

people who enjoy drinking the hard stuff know that they don't have to finish an entire bottle as soon as they open it

and he can store this stuff anywhere and pretty much never have to worry about its spoiling

because opened and liquor containers can't lose a few ounces after a while due to evaporation

and may even shed off some of his distinctive aroma as the years go by

however they will always be drinkable and devastation is hartly no as spoken

and even if you're not storing it for consumption they're still really useful in medical emergencies

as they are also an effective disinfectant

next up heart attack

this cracker is made from really nothing more than water in plain flour

while this may seem like a very bland combination

heart attack is regarded as a dietary staple and supplements all over the world

not because of its taste but because of its durability if stored and prepared and stored properly

this dense cracker can last for decades even up to a century

making it the perfect survival food during emergency situations

heart attack actually saved many lives particularly during the American Civil War

as it was one of the standard food items consumed by soldiers during that time

several Civil War museums even keep preserved hard text on display to this day

and those things are still pretty much edible

number eight a white rice

this mine comes as a surprise but raw white or polished rice if stored

inside an airtight container in stashed in a cool dry place can stay fresh

and keep its nutritional value for decades even if its container is covered with a thick layer of dirt or dust

the rice stored inside can still be cooked and gets in so long as you manage

to prevent bugs and insects from getting access to it

however the same cannot be said for brown rice its shelf life is much shorter

between 6 months to a year due to the fact that it has a much higher oil content and polish to rice

I'm now in coarse starch we don't necessarily eat corn starch for its flavor

but we do use it as a thickening agent to make various syrups juice and sauces

outside of it being a very nutrient rich food item

this gluten free powder is also effective in removing odours treating burrs and rashes and cleaning hair

that's why everybody should have those in their cupboard and you really don't need to worry about tossing it away

and replacing your stash frequently as long as you keep it in an airtight container in a cool location

if you do that your corn starch will pretty much last well before ever

finally pemmican

this really might not sound familiar it's you most of you

but this is the goal to food for many survivalists for several reasons

and we have the Native American tribes to thank for inventing

it's made up of dried meat ground into powder along with berries and rendered fat

it's a rich source of protein that can be stored for a long time

which is why it has earned the reputation of being the ultimate survival food

if prepared correctly and stored properly can they can kill lasts for several decades

some even swear that this nutritious and well preserved food is part of Canadian cuisine

and was too prefer to Maine food of fur traders as well as Arctic and Antarctic explorers

who traveled out great distances and really had no time

or opportunity to replenish their food supplies

this tried food could be eaten raw were cooked and it was so valuable to so many people

that it was once the center of an almost decade-long conflict in North America known as the pemmican

so there you go guys next time you're shopping for the apocalypse put these things on your list

also one thing that I left off that should be pretty obvious is water

I mean without water you won't last a few day so all your food that's gonna go to waste

and water never expires so you're good to go I just want to mention that

just in case there are people using this video as a end of the world shopping list

and they buy a ton of honey and rice and corn starch that bring all this back to their bunkers

the zombie apocalypse all of a sudden happens they feel like they're good at all for decades

then they realize yeah no water

I just want to prevent that from happening

alright guys thank you all so much for watching this video I'll see you later
