If you can't beat them

Buy them

It has been revealed

Google offered $30 Billion to Snapchat

to...

buy...

Snapchat

Google has failed at Social time and time again

Remember Google Plus?

Yeah, that sucked

Shame!

Shame!

Shame!

and if you're old enough to remember Google Buzz and Google Wave well... ha...

Yeah, the Internet is getting older

Techcrunch is reporting that

Google really offered $30 Billion to Snapchat

right before it released its IPO earlier this year

now why am I bringing this up?

Only a few short years ago Mark Zuckerberg offered $3 billion to Snapchat

Hey, it was the hot app at the time, everybody thought it was just this filter thing

but they forgot one other thing that Snapchat's good at

Bullshitting everyone

Yeah those pictures don't go away...

Sorry kids...

They're on a server somewhere

and raising money

and convincing you that Snapchat glasses are the wave of the future and somehow are going to be the future of augmented reality

So here we are in 2017, they've been offered ten times what Mark Zuckerberg offered them

and what's really happened?

Instagram has copied Stories

Now there are more users on Instagram Stories than there are on Snapchat

But Snap

Not Snapchat, Snap is now the company that owns Snapchat

Keep up with me

yeah, their CEO Evan Spiegel, he doesn't want to sell to anybody

yeah, how's that IPO doing?

you should sell dude

Sell NOW.

In my opinion, Snap and Snapchat, they don't innovate

Crappy camera glasses that cost $130, that's not innovation

those are crappy camera-glasses that just cost $130

so what's on the horizon?

They do have a high valuation and could acquire companies for mostly stock

so they could "innovate by acquisition"

however...

Apple has more cash

Amazon has more cash

Google has more cash

Facebook has more cash

I'm not saying that Snapchat's not a player

Because huh? Evan Spiegel?

Does he not scream "Player?"

Sup, Player?

I'm just saying that I don't get it

I kind of feel like it's here today, gone tomorrow. Kind of like one of it's main features with pictures right?

A disappearing act?

*RIMSHOT

Thank you Rimshot Monkey!

So maybe it's not just about Social...

Everybody knows what virtual reality is

But augmented reality has sort of been relegated to Pokemon Go

It's going to be a lot bigger than that. It's going to be more like Magic Leap

Google already has over $500 million invested into Magic Leap

Some of the analysis is saying

Together, they could align their Google Glass and Snap Spectacles hardware efforts to build a powerful but appealling AR device.

However, Google's open, engineering-driven culture could clash with Snap's secretive, design-driven culture.

Oh my God, what will we do?

I have a solution

put the teams on different floors

just put them on different floors

Can you do that for me? Can you make something cool?

Thank you.

So my question to you is, "Should Snapchat sell to Google for thirty billion freakin' dollars?

I don't... know what... this.... is

A. YES

B. NO

C...

Why should they? They're F@$%in' Snapchat!

Personalize Google Chromecast Backdrop With Your Own Photos - Duration: 7:15.

In today's video i'm going to show you how to

personalize the biggest screen in your house.

Let's get started!

Hey everybody!

Welcome to Tech With Brett where I help tech work for you.

Today we're going to be customizing the Google Chromecast device.

This will work if you have a Chromecast or a Chromecast Ultra.

Now before we end this video make sure you leave a comment on what Chromecast feature

you want to see next.

First let's head into the Google Home app using your Android or your iOS device, either an

iPhone or an iPad.

The Chromecast Backdrop is basically the screensaver of your Chromecast device.

This is what will display on your TV when you are not casting something.

There are featured photos that will show up and they will rotate through.

You can also customize what photos are showing up and I will show you how to do that today.

When looking at the Chromecast Backdrop there are a few different items that are on the screen.

Starting over here in the bottom left hand corner you will see the Chromecast device name.

If you would like to turn on the pin you can do that in the Guest Mode settings.

If you click the link at the top right I will show you how to do that.

Then over here on the right hand side of the screen you will see that it is displaying

the weather, the time, as well as where the photo came from so you can know where that

photo is or what album it is coming from on your personalized backdrop.

So our next is to go into the Google Home application.

When you set this up make sure that you are signed into the same WiFi network as the Chromecast

and your mobile device.

Once we are in here we do need to sign into our Google account, so if you click the top

left hand menu make sure you sign into your Gmail account there.

Then we need to go into the devices tab, and you do that by going into the top right hand

corner here and click on the device.

Then it is going to show you your devices here.

And today we are going to be working with the Chromecast Ultra.

If you haven't done this you do need to click enable voice and more.

Click "Yes I'm In" and that will allow you to personalize your backdrop.

If you have already done so and that option is not there you can either click Edit Backdrop

here or click the settings and then Backdrop Settings and now you have the backdrop here.

So there are a bunch of different services that you can connect to.

Now if you don't adjust your backdrop settings you will see the featured photos on the Chromecast

and those are pulled and selected and they always look great but this allows you to go

a little further and put exactly what you want to on your Backdrop.

So the first option we have here is Google Photos.

So if I go into Google Photos I will need to turn it on here at the top.

If you haven't done so you'll sign into your Gmail account and it will pull from the Google

Photos app.

To use Google Photos you will need to have used the app and already backed up your photos.

And this will use the most recent albums that you have.

If you don't see an album here you will need to go in and create a new album on the Google

Photos app.

So here I can go down and let's say I want to choose family photos right here, I can

select each album that I want up there on the screen.

So then I can click back and you'll already see on my Backdrop that those photos have

started loading.

A here is the picture of the family.

Then if I want to add a different service I can go in and here I can add Facebook.

I just need to do the same thing.

Open it up, click connect and add my account.

I can add Flickr photos.

Here I can also add Play Newsstand.

With this, it allows me to see news articles on the TV.

Now if you're asking why would I want to do that, you can easily see an article and it

will tell you a little blip about it in the bottom right hand corner of your screen, and

then you can go into the app and learn more.

So let us say I want to turn this on, so then you can also use the Google Newsstand app

to customize that a bit more.

Here on the backdrop we see one of the pictures.

Now if I want to learn more about that picture I can just go back and right here in the devices

tab on the Google Home app it will tell me about it.

If I click on that, it will actually take me right to the link of that article so I

can read more.

No let's go back, I am going to edit Backdrop settings again.

Here I have Curated News so then it will automatically pull up news articles it wants.

If I use the Newsstand I can customize what different categories I want to see on the TV.

Here we have art, if I open up the art category I can choose Google Cultural Institute, the Google

Open Gallery and then I can choose Street Art.

Up here at the top I have full turn on or turn off.

And then down here I can turn off just individual items.

Here we have feature photos, those are the ones that are automatically going to play through.

I can customize that a bit more or completely turn them off so only my personalized photos

would show.

Then I have Earth and space, I can turn those on and off.

Then down here I have a few custom options that I can choose to change on the Backdrop.

So right here this has custom speed.

Right now the photos are playing fast, you will see more photos more often.

I want to see the photos stay on there a bit longer you can select the slow option or normal speed.

Up here at the top you have turn on or off.

Then here we have weather so in the bottom right hand corner next to the time you will

see the weather on there so you can either turn it completely off and it will no longer

show on the screen or you can change it Celsius instead of Fahrenheit.

Right here is where you remove your Backdrop preferences.

If you do that and you say remove it can't be restored, you would need to go and reset

up your Backdrop again.

If you would like to see a picture that passed and you want to learn more information

about where that photo came from you can go back into the Google Home app, go into the

devices tab and then right here you have the history button.

If you select that it will show you the last few photos that were on the TV.

And then here you can see where it came from.

Let's say I want to see that photo, I can select album and it will go to that place and

if I want to delete it I can do that or it will just show me that picture or article

that I saw.

If you would like to remove the Backdrop preferences for a device that you are no longer using,

you can go into the devices tab on the Google Home app, scroll down to the bottom, and then

you can click on the device and you can disassociate that device from your account and here you

would select Unlink.

Thank you so much for joining me today to learn all about the Backdrop on your Google

Chromecast device.

If you have any further questions I'd love for you to leave a comment below so that I

can help you out.

If this is your first time here i'd love for you to click the Subscribe button so that

you can be notified of my new and upcoming videos, because I am going to teach all about

your smart phone all the way to your smart home.

The Best Jeep Wrangler Side Steps For 2 Door 2007-2017 JK Unlimited Rubicon Sahara Sport - Duration: 5:16.

I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com, and today I'm going to tell you about my favorite side

steps in a couple of different categories for your two-door 2007 and up JK.

Make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel to check out other great videos like this

one.

Today, we're going to talk about side steps in the tubular side step category, where I

really like the RedRock 4 x 4 three-inch, curved, round side step.

We're also going to talk about some running boards, where my pick is the Barricade Extreme

HD rocker step, and finally in the hoop category where I like the CARR Super Hoop.

Now, it is important to note that these are just my picks in these categories, as well

as some of your feedback mixed in there.

But there are a lot of different options to choose from in each of these categories.

It's also important to note that today we're talking about side steps and not armor.

These side steps are going to make a very useful step.

However, they are going to hang down lower and stick out further from the side of the

Jeep than armor would.

So these are not there for protection, but they are going to give you a good, useful

step.

So let's get into it.

In the tubular side step category, I really like these RedRock 4 x 4 three-inch, curved,

round side steps.

These are going to be a very traditional and a very simple side step that just works.

These are made of a steel tubular material, and they do come in a couple of different

finishes.

What we have here is a textured black powder coat finish, and of course these are going

to have a large, plastic, black stepping surface, which does have some texture to it as well,

to ensure that you're going to have some good grip, even if it's snowing, raining, or if

you're out in the mud.

Now, the other thing that I like about these steps is that they do have this curve on the

end of them.

These are also available straight, but I like the ones with the curve.

They return into the Jeep, and it gives you a really finished look.

Now, overall, these steps are going to be less expensive than some of the other ones

on the market, and they're going to be a very easy install.

These are designed to be bolted directly onto your Jeep.

These will come with brackets that you'll install under the pinch seam in the underside

of your tub, and then just bolt the side step right onto the bracket.

For a running board-style side step, my pick is the Barricade Extreme HD rocker step.

Right off the bat, you can tell how this is different from that tubular step that we just

talked about from RedRock.

This is going to be a much broader and flatter stepping surface.

It is going to stick out further from the side of the Jeep, giving you a very, very

useful step.

In my opinion, this gives you a little bit more of a modern look versus the more traditional

look of that round tubular step.

This is also going to be a steel step with a large flat stepping surface that has these

holes punched in it.

The holes are there for style, to lighten things up a little bit, and of course for

drainage.

So when you get mud, rain, or snow on it, the water has somewhere to go.

Now, these are also going to bolt directly onto your Jeep without any drilling or cutting

necessary, and these are going to actually bolt onto those body bushing bolts that flank

either side of your main body bolt.

To get these installed, all you need to do is remove those bolts, hold these up in place,

and replace the bolts.

So this is a very strong mounting method.

This is the same method used by a lot of rock sliders.

Now, I'm not going to say that you can take these out and drop your Jeep off of a ledge

onto a rock, and expect these to hold up.

These do stick out pretty far from the Jeep, so there's a lot of leverage there.

Again, this is a step, and this isn't armor.

However, the way that these mount do mean that you're going to get a very solid stepping

surface.

Because these do sit up a little bit higher than those tubular side steps, they also help

to hide the otherwise unfinished-looking pinch seam on the side of your Jeep, which is a

feature I really like.

In the hoop-style step category, I really like these CARR Super Hoop XP3s.

Now, CARR does have a couple of different hoop steps.

Some of them are a little bit smaller, if you like that a little bit better.

Now, these are going to be for those of you that don't like a running board or a side

step that goes wheel to wheel, that covers that whole rocker area.

You want something that's a little bit more minimalist, but still gives you a great stepping

surface.

This is an aluminum step that has this knurled-style finish on it, again just giving a really sure

footing even in wet, mud, or snow conditions.

Now, this is going to be an aluminum step, which is a really nice feature, because even

if you were to chip off the powder coat finish on these steps, you're not going to get rust

like you would with mild steel.

You'll just get a little bit of oxidation.

Now, one thing to note with these steps, this is a little bit more of a universal fit-style

of step.

So you are going to have to do some drilling to get this installed.

You're going to hold the step up, figure out where you want to position it underneath the

door, mark where the brackets need to go, centerpunch and drill those holes, and then

attach everything with all of the hardware that's included.

So that's my pick for a tubular round side step where I like the RedRock 4 x 4 three-inch,

curved, round step, a running board-style side step where I like the Barricade Extreme

HD rocker step, and finally a hoop-style step where I like the CARR Super Hoop.

Make sure you comment below to let me know which one you like best and which one you're

going to install on your Jeep, or if you completely disagree and like one of the other ones in

the category better.

For now, I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com.

Thanks for watching.

Thunder Show: The Mutant of Japan - Duration: 9:54.

In this episode: Truck Warrior Oops Big game hunter The Mutant of Japan

Welcome to Thunder Show!

What's the sweetest dream for all fans of Soviet vehicles in War Thunder

and what's the worst nightmare of players favoring other nations?

The answer is simple - a huge column of Soviet trucks,

armed with all manner of weapons from machine guns to rocket-propelled artillery.

Don't believe me? Well, then watch this, instead!

Christian Rossi, the Motherland will not forget your labor,

to help develop our glorious military doctrine! Here are your Golden Eagles!

Ever since the introduction of smoke shells and smoke launchers,

Thunder Show's mailbox witnessed hundreds of submissions dedicated to their use,

with a couple of the best so far featured in our show throughout several previous episodes.

But don't forget that smoke is a double-edged sword, while it does conceal you from the foe,

it also provides the enemy with an opportunity for a flanking move.

just like it happened here in this video, with two Tiger tanks.

They both used their smoke launchers while being close to an enemy Hellcat,

the mobility of which is legendary.

Who could have thought that the enemy won't simply wait dead in its tracks for the smoke to clear out,

and will, you know, ahem, just drive around those heavies and attack them in the side?

Yes guys, he just used that smoke against you and won!

Congratulations Christian Ivanov on your successful attack and your entrance to Thunder Show!

Please, enjoy these 5000 Eagles!

Tests of naval warfare in War Thunder are not just popular amongst ship-loving captains of our game,

but also among our bravest pilots, which can't get enough of deadly AA fire

coming off enemy airfields and SPAAGs in mixed battles, it seems.

No, these brave souls wish to fight the enemy when its fire superiority is absolute,

while its toughness makes even the heaviest tanks sob in shame,

while being faster and more agile than even some of the fastest ground vehicles!

Despite all that, these daredevils challenge the mighty Colossi of the sea,

not with bombs, no sir, but using rockets! How they do it? See that for yourself!

Oxide, thanks for this great clip! Now, claim this prize!

Those of you who unlocked top-ranking aircraft or any other machine in War Thunder

have probably come across a particular wonder of Japanese engineering, the R2Y2.

This jet bomber of the Rising Sun quickly earned a reputation of a dangerous target for the enemy fighters,

thanks to its impressive speed, decent agility and above all - its powerful weaponry.

But after a while, it lost some of its popularity and it is no longer spoken of as the wonder,

it once was. Well, looks like Spookston is ready to dust off this old boy and give it one more shot,

have fun and i'll see you next week!

Now it's time for the best comment of the past week:

Alejo Pablo says: "Pilot looks at the picture of Stalin, looks up and says

This is for you, comrade!

And firces his Stalinium rockets as artillery like they did in the motherland.

This comment has just earned its author 1,000 Golden Eagles!

Please, respond to your original comment with your in-game nickname and email address,

so we can send you your prize!

Please, be advised that the prize eagles may take up to five business days to be added to your in-game account.

Thank you for watching Thunder Show!

Ok, let's recap the three simple steps on how to submit your video to Thunder Show:

STEP 1. Record and put together a video up to 3 minutes long,

which corresponds to one of the four categories mentioned earlier.

ATTENTION: The submitted video must be made by you, must be published for the first time,

must have public access for viewers and must not violate any copyright laws.

STEP 2. Subscribe to our Youtube channel and hit the like button below this video.

STEP 3. Upload your video to Youtube and send us a direct link to thundershow@gaijin.ru

The covering email should contain the desired category for your video, your in-game nickname

and the email address registered with your game account, so we can send you the reward

should your submission win!

Every week, each winner in every category of the show will get 5,000 Golden Eagles!

We will also be awarding the best comment of the week. So, get your creative juices flowing,

make some content, send it to us, or simply watch and comment, either way

we've got plenty freebies to go around! Good luck and see you in a week!

Philippe Coutinho asks to leave Liverpool amid Barcelona interest - Duration: 2:53.

Philippe Coutinho asks to leave Liverpool amid Barcelona interest

After conflicting reports earlier on Friday, it has now been widely reported that Philippe Coutinho has officially requested a move away from Liverpool.

It was initially claimed by Sky Sports that Coutinho had handed in a transfer request following Fenway Sports Group's "definitive" statement over his future.

But this was quickly rejected by a number of sources close to the club, including the Liverpool Echo's James Pearce.

However, it has now been relayed by a variety of reliable journalists, such as the Times' Paul Joyce and the Telegraph's Chris Bascombe, that Coutinho has in fact asked to leave.

Pearce revealed that Coutinho requested his transfer via email at around 1pm, but Joyce reports that the club rejected it. Liverpool have already turned down bids of £72 million and £90. 4 million from Barcelona.

This may well prove to be a last-ditch attempt by the midfielder to force through a move, and his timing could not be any worse.

The Reds are currently in the final stages of preparation for their Premier League opener away to Watford on Saturday, which Coutinho will miss with a alleged back injury.

And his public agitation will no doubt dominate proceedings when Liverpool would have been hoping to focus on their performance at Vicarage Road.

Coutinho signed a new five-year deal with the Reds in January, with no release clause, ensuring the club are in a strong position if they opt to negotiate.

But if they do ultimately sell, they have just three weeks to find a replacement, and speaking to Sky Germany on Thursday, Jurgen Klopp stressed that it would be the wrong time to part ways.

"Today, no player on the planet is untouchable," he explained. "But a transfer is also a question of timing and if you have the opportunity and the need to react to such a transfer.

"Also you have to ask, if you have the time to react. But just because of one request of one club, we don't have to think about that. We are not in that situation.".

Jurgen Klopp ready to unleash new arrival Mohamed Salah on Watford

Jurgen Klopp is relishing the prospect of fielding Liverpool's new signing Mohamed Salah in Saturday's Premier League opener away to Watford.

Salah joined the Reds from AS Roma in July, in a deal worth an initial £36. 9 million, becoming the club's new record signing.

The Egypt winger went on to score four times in six appearances for Klopp's side in pre-season, averaging a goal every 79. 3 minutes on the pitch.

It was an impressive start, and addressing Salah's early impact as he previewed Liverpool's trip to Vicarage Road on Friday, Klopp stressed he is looking to utilise his natural ability.

"First of all, what everybody can see, all his skills: speed, technical ability, finishing ability. He really showed up from the first day," he told reporters.

"A few of these skills are really natural, that makes it easier for him to involve them in the game.

"I spoke to him a few times of course, but not in the early part of the pre-season, I didn't immediately tell him what I want to see from him.

"[I said] 'play', and then we can talk about what I saw, and it was good. "There were a lot of things in how we defend and how we need him to be involved in different situations.

"But offensively, he's natural, and that's really cool. We want to keep that, that's how it is.". Salah's Egyptian compatriot and former Premier League striker Mido described the winger as "much quicker" even than his new team-mate, Sadio Mane.

And it is this remarkable pace that Klopp is most looking to harness as part of Liverpool's new-look attacking line on Saturday. "It makes us more difficult to defend, because speed is the most difficult thing to defend in football," he explained.

"Because it creates spaces for all the rest. Just the threat of speed opens spaces in different areas, and we need to use them.

"It's not about giving him the ball to run and do something, it's about what happens when he is running, what happens to the formation of the opponent.

"Should we play the ball there? Or should we use the space he creates? That's what makes our football, for us, more interesting. "When Sadio is on the pitch we have it on two wings, that's another good thing.

"So how we tried to develop our game now hopefully we can see it already at Watford.
