7 unsolved missing person cases since 2000
According to german organization "Initiative vermisste Kinder"
100.000 children are reported missing each year in germany
Luckily 99% are found safe and sound
But for now let us follow the dark trails of the remaining 1%
DARK TRAILS
Did they run away on purpose? Were they kidnapped? Victim of a crime?
What happened often remains unsolved for many years leaving their families questioning.
"What happened to my child?"
Nobody of us can fully understand the pain and agony they have to endure.
The only thing we can do is stay cautious and keep our eyes wide open.
Today I would like to present 7 unsolved cases from the last 17 years to you.
Maybe someone watching this video can give information, a hint or some clue.
Maybe someday we'll learn what happened to those eight persons.
Since 4/4/2016 5 year old Aref from Wanfried in Hessen, Germany is missing.
He and his mother were on a playground near the Werra river...
it took only a moment of abstraction and little Aref was gone.
Even though police searched the area with trailing dogs and helicopters they could'nt find him.
Aref is described as :
height: about 1 meter. Black, curly hair, dark skin, dark eyes
He wore a green shirt and dark jeans at the time of his disappearance.
Aref would be 6 years old in 2017.
At first police feared he might've fallen into the river...
...but even though they sent divers and searched the riverbed, a body never turned up.
So foul play is also considered possible.
Witnesses or anyone who has clues about Aref or his whereabouts is urged to contact...

Since 10/25/2004 then 15 year old Daniel from Ulm in Baden Württemberg, Germany is missing.
After school he took a train to nearby Thalfingen - which was only discovered because...
he was fare dodging and his information was collected by the ticket inspector.
Why Daniel would go to Thalfingen, what he wanted there or whom he wanted to meet is unknown.
But he left his personal belongings including his wallet and glasses behind in a school locker.
Police search turned up no clues.
In 2017 Daniel would be 28 years old.
Should Daniel not report to authorities in Ulm until the 30ths Oct. 2017...
.. he can be declared officially dead by law.
Since 5/2/2017 then 5 year old Inga from Stendal, Sachsen Anhalt in Germany is missing.
The last time she was seen was when she collected firewoods with other children in a nearby forest.
The other children returned, but Inga did somehow get separated from the group and never showed up again.
The case of the girl with the bright smile andtooth space was all over german media.
Even though many people helped the police with their search, Inga was gone without a trace.
At the time of her disappearance Inga was about 118cm tall, had blue eyes and blond pigtails.
Inga is missing both her fronth teeth.
She was dressed in a mint green shirt with butterfly imprint and blue jeans (as in the photo)
As of this day Inga would be seven years old.
Police appreciate any new leads and clues about Inga.

Since 9/13/2008 then 18 year old Mandy from Nienburg, Germany is missing.
Mandy was allowed to stay with her bf for the first time and was in contact with her mother via phone.
At 11pm Mandy and her boyfriend went to bed.
The next morning her boyfriend said she was gone.
Knowing that Mandy and her boyfriend once ran off together, police was hesitant about inverstigation.
Her phone was shut off and her bank account rermained untouched.
When it became clear, that Mandy was not going to show up again, police finally started searching.
Mandy's and her boyfriends' phone were located about 10km away at 3am - different from his testimony
Police thoroughly checked her boyfriend but could not found any evidence of his involvement.
In 2017 Mandy would be 27 years old.
Since 12/25/2000 then 16 year old Jan from Ueckermünde, Germany is missing.
It was the last day of his internship in a restaurant only 10 minutes per bike from his house.
His mother is worried when he does not return after his shift.
Jan was reported to have ran away twice but only after an argument and only for a short time.
At 5:50 pm Jan ends his shift in the restaurant and was never seen or heard from again.
2017 Jan would be 33 years old.
10/27/2011 Eugen is leaving his family's home in Andernach, Germany to go for a walk and never returns.
He was suffering from depression and at first it was thought something might've happened to him.
But even though firefighters and policed joined forces in searching for Eugen, they could'nt find him.
He was 24 years old at the time of his disappearance, stood 185cm, tall had middle length curly dark hair....
had a three-day beard, wore a gray cord hat, khaki jacket, brown shoes and muddy brown pants.
Eugen would be 30 years old in 2017.
Since 1/30/2011 twins Alessia & Livia Schepp from St Sulpice, Switzerland are missing.
After a complicating divorce argument Mr. Schepp took the girls, presumably to Italy.
However their last confirmed whereabouts are in St Sulpice
If alone or with his girls is unknown - Mr. Schepp travelled and boarded a ferry until he arrived in Cerignola, Italy.
There he took his own life.
His farewell letter leaves room for speculation on wether he killed the twins or not.
There are a lot of theories. An anonymous letter led investigators to Canada in 2014.
But until today no new evidence has been found and Alessia & Livia remain missing.
In 2017 the girls would be 12 years old.
